"ꜰᴏʀ ʏᴏᴜ ᴀʀᴇ ɪɴ ᴇʟʏꜱɪᴜᴍ ᴀɴᴅ ʏᴏᴜ'ʀᴇ ᴀʟʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ᴅᴇᴀᴅ"
Naala was enjoying her time, she usually didn’t tread down the path of dating or relationships. She had one relationship who broke her to pieces in every sense. She shivered as she remembered James, wondering how she ever got out of that situation. She knew how but it was still hard to imagine and that he’d never be bothering her again now that he was locked up for 30+ years. Naala’s attention redirected to Adam as he talked about calling her something else. “Yes, I’d like to be called Supreme Overlord, so you should address me as such.” She let out a brief fit of laughter thinking she was funny. Naala tried to see the best in every situation, even some of the darker ones she had experienced. Life was not easy so she always tried to find a bit of sunshine where she could. “I’m kidding, you can call me whatever.” She blushed.

Naala flushed as she realized talking about surgeries over dinner was probably not something most people wanted to hear about. She would be able to eat just fine even though her mind flashed back to some of the more gruesome things she had seen. “I’m sorry, it’s not a dinner conversation so I probably shouldn’t have so openly discussed it,” she chuckled nervously. The subject turned to the marinara and the ranch dressing, Naala smirked as he called her out. “Believe it or not, I hate it. I also hate pizza and chocolate while we’re going on about the weird things I don’t like.” She laughed a bit, she was often roasted for her hatred of pizza but she always just said ‘to each their own.’ Naala was really enjoying his company, she could feel something there but with her history it made her nervous to pursue anything.

“I do love the 80’s and I’ll have to listen to them. The Scorpions and Kansas are probably my favorites.” Naala said nonchalantly. “We will have to have a movie and jam night! Watch movies and listen to the good ol 80’s.” She smiled though she was probably getting ahead of herself. He could not want to see her again. As the food arrive the aroma was intoxicating as she watched the waiter place it down carefully. “Wow this looks amazing,” she said as she picked up her fork to pick at her salad.

Adam couldn't almost choked on his of beer when she suggested that he address her as the 'Supreme Overlord'. Shaking his head with a smile he took another drink letting out a laugh. "Sounds good. But you have to call me Emperor of the Universe." He said with a laugh. He was glad that they were able to joke with each other. "How about I call you baby or something?" He asked with a smile. He couldn't remember the last time that he had this much fun on a date. He took a bite of his steak and savored it. It was cooked to perfection. He usually got medium well though he did try medium rare once and didn't like it. He didn't like his meat too pink. He had a big fear of food being undercooked.

He waved off her apology about the surgery conversation. "Don't worry about it. You didn't go into that much detail. I'll let it slide for now. Just be more careful next time" He said with a laugh. He thought he'd make a joke of his own. Hoping that it wasn't misconstrued. When she said that she hated pizza he looked at her in shock. How could someone hate pizza? It was a universally loved food. "But.... But.. Pizza is the most versatile food in the world.. Like you can literally make any kind of pizza that you want." He said with a serious look. "And you hate chocolate.. I don't know, baby. That might be going too far.. I don't think this thing between us is going to workout" He said jokingly. He didn't mind that she didn't like those things. They were minor after all. Relationships were built on a lot more than food preferences.

He looked to from his plate when she mentioned them having an 80's night together. It was like she read his mind. "I was just thinking that, Naala. I'd love to do that." He said with a smile. "You name the time and I'll be there." He said and went back to eating. "This place is super popular. They never disappoint." He said with a nod. He started wondering if it was too soon to ask her back to his place.

Naala perked her brow when he told her what she had to call him. "So long as you understand that Supreme Overlord is a greater position than Emperor of the Universe." She chimed with a playful smile drawn on her lips. She was trying to remember the last time she had such good food and good company. She idly ate between conversations. Her steak was perfect, medium-rare. She liked to see the red. She knew it wasn't for everyone but she certainly enjoyed it. "I mean you can call me whatever, I'm not really picky," Naala stated not sure how to respond to the pet names as the two of them weren't together. She assumed it was like the teacher who always called everyone dear. Maybe he called everyone baby or at least females. She didn't think too much about it.

As he told her not to worry about an apology she nodded, a breath of relief leaving her lips just before she takes another sip of her beer. A smirk crossed her lips as she could sense his sarcasm in his joke, a brief fit of laughter escaping her lips. As always, began the great turmoil of Naala's hatred towards the universally loved food. "Yes, and you're more than welcome to eat it, I just don't." Naala shrugged a bit. She was also very healthy in her diet, red meat usually wasn't on it but she would allow it here and there. She had her cheats though, like the dollar deluxe burrito. For the most part, she ate a lot of fish and chicken, and vegetables. She laughs as he talks about it not going to work out and gives a light shrug, "Well, at least we tried." She chimes as she continues to eat, followed by a few more sips of her beer.

She smiled as she learned it had crossed his mind. "I regularly do movie nights, they're usually our girl's nights. Occasionally I drag them to this biker bar I like. It's super cheap and has great people in it." Naala smiled. "My friends hate it though," Naala shrugged, she had picked up a few shifts here and there when they needed help. The regulars liked her and she felt safe in the environment despite the individuals that were attracted to such a place. Perhaps they knew she grew up rough and could handle her own she wasn't sure but she did enjoy it.

Adam chuckled at her comment about the ranking of the two titles. "Well excuse me, Madam Overlord." He said with a smile shaking his head again while taking a bite of his meal. He started to worry that maybe calling her baby this early was a bad thing. He just really liked her but maybe he was getting a little too comfortable. What if it in fact didn't workout between them and they went their separate ways when they got back to school? That would make his tenure at college difficult. He sighed mentally ignoring the worries when Naala said that she didn't mind what he called her. It gave him some relief.

He gave a shrug at her comment about him being welcomed to eat pizza. "Okay but I get the impression that you've not had the right pizza." He said and dropped the topic. He didn't have much left of his meal as he ate and talked with her. He laughed lightly at her reply. "Exactly. There's no harm in trying. At least we both got out for the evening. It's Friday after all." He said with a smirk. He watched her for a few seconds then went back to eating. He glanced at his phone wondering if he'd missed any emergencies since it was on silent. He'd check it after dinner though he highly doubted it. If Nick was in trouble Adam wasn't hard to find.

Soon Adam finished his meal and took the last couple drinks of his beer giving a content sigh. He looked to her. "That was delicious. I can't remember the last time that I ate a meal that good. How was your meal?" He asked while taking out his wallet for when their waiter brought their check. He looked at the money in his wallet and knew that he'd have to work more than just part time at the hardware store. Those hours just weren't cutting it for him. Soon the waiter brought their check and Adam paid him with cash and waited as he went to get his change. He took a couple of one dollar bills out for the tip.

"That is better," Naala smirked playfully as he called her Madam Overlord. She couldn't help but laugh when she was around him. It was nice for having just met someone. There hadn't been a lull in the conversation, the two of them seemed to be receptive to one another. Though Naala naturally worried, considering how her last relationship went. She offered him a sweet smile from across the table as she slowly finished her food. Her goal was that she didn't want him to feel uncomfortable around her it's why she wasn't picky. Naala never had been, perhaps she should have in her last relationship but she did her best to keep those memories locked away.

"Ah and here comes the inevitable pizza peer pressure," she laughed as he went on about the pizza for a moment. She shook her head as he did because she had tried a plethora of pizzas. They were always too greasy and made her sick but she wasn't going to get into that. "I think it's been a wonderful Friday evening thus far. I rarely leave the dorms. Sometimes I pick up a couple of shifts at a bar. My scholarship doesn't pay for everything," she laughed lightly.

"I am certainly fat and happy," she playfully patted her flat abdomen. It was her favorite thing to say after she had a satisfying meal. "Thank you, are you sure you don't want me to help with the bill? I'm not as broke as I look." She smirks but by time she had asked the waiter was gone with the money to get change. "You said I could help with the tip," Naala pouted a bit.

Adam rolled his eyes at Naala's 'That's better.' giving it a laugh. "I wouldn't expect to hear it very often though. Maybe on your birthday I'll say 'Happy Birthday, Madam Overlord!" He said laughing at the thought of it.Though he would like to be spend time with her on that day. The thought of it made Adam hopeful that she would say yes when he asked her out. He smiled back when Naala smiled at him. Her smile was so bright and pleasant. It was like seeing the sun peeking through the clouds on an overcast day. A smile that would put anyone in a good mood. He pushed some hair from his face wishing that he'd brought a rubber band with him to put it in a ponytail because it was bugging him.

Adam laughed lightly at the peer pressure retort. "I'm not pressuring you, Naala. I'm simply saying that, by the sound of things, you've had nothing but crummy pizza and that was what turned you against it. It could happen." He said with a shrug. "That's just my two cents." He said and dropped it completely. He didn't want to make the entire evening about her not liking something. She'd probably heard it all from her friends a million and one times. When she mentioned that she worked at a bar and tuition he gave a nod. "I know what you mean. I work part-time at the hardware store not far from here. It helps fund things like this but I'm wanting to get on full-time. But that means that I'd have to make a whole new schedule and I hate doing that." He said with another eye roll.

The fat and happy comment made him give a very light laugh as he watched her pat her stomach which looked like it didn't have an ounce of fat on it. "That's good. I know how hungry you were. Sorry about your microwave being busted. Maybe I'll have a look at it sometime." He said with a shrug. He could use that as an excuse to come and see her. He smiled when Naala brought up the tip. "I know I did. You can chip in." He said though he felt that it was his job to pay for everything when on a date. It was just something that he'd always been told to by his parents and friends. He had put his half of the tip in the center of the table allowing Naala to add hers. Adam picks up his phone to check it and sees that he hadn't missed any texts or calls. He puts the notifications back to normal and pockets it putting his hands on the table. Soon the waiter came back giving Adam his change and asked if everything was good. Adam gave a nod. "It was very good. Thanks very much." He said putting the change in his wallet and standing up to leave the place waiting on Naala.

"ꜰᴏʀ ʏᴏᴜ ᴀʀᴇ ɪɴ ᴇʟʏꜱɪᴜᴍ ᴀɴᴅ ʏᴏᴜ'ʀᴇ ᴀʟʀᴇᴀᴅʏ ᴅᴇᴀᴅ"
A playful smirk was written on Naala's face as he rolled his eyes. "You don't even know when my birthday is, how will I hear it then?" Naala smirked. The sad thing was that Naala often forgot her own birthday. She hadn't really ever gotten the chance to celebrate it. She knew of it but she never made a big deal of it. Naala was a bit surprised she was enjoying her time as much as she was, it had been so long since she had a genuinely good time. Sure, the bright eyed girl put on a face to be outgoing and find the best in every situation but she didn't have to try in this one which was nice and relaxing. She could truly just be herself and he seemed genuinely interested in her.

"I'm also lactose intolerant, so if I want to be in pain I'm going to do it with food I actually enjoy," she smirked. It was weird certain things really made her react but in smaller portions other things did not. "I'm intolerant to being lactose intolerant." The two biggest things she couldn't touch were milk and ice cream, those just made her miserable. There was no way he was going to convince her to change her mind about pizza. "The nice thing about the bar is that I'm like the youngest bartender they have. So I make nice tips, and I'm safe there. The local bikers have thrown unruly drunk college kids out. The creepy ones at least." Naala smiled. She had a weird rapport with the local biker group in the area, she was certain they were up to shady things but they kept her protected there and tipped well so she didn't mind.

"That's like a start to one of those bad movies. Like knock knock, I'm here to fix your microwave." She chuckled, blushing hoping she didn't sound too forward but she found the whole scenario quite amusing. "Thank you, the food was excellent," Naala told the waiter before he departed. Naala smiled happily as she pulled out some cash for the tip, she liked to always give nice tips when service was good. After all, she worked for tips mostly. Once everything was said and done, Naala slipped out from the booth and waited for him to follow suit, grabbing her phone before almost forgetting it on the table. She put it in her pocket but didn't check it, she didn't need to. Travis had an emergency ringtone if he needed anything and he was the only friend that really gave two cents about her. "Thank you, I know I was hungry but my microwave being broken led to me meeting you and having a wonderful dinner date." She smiled pleasantly.

Adam followed Naala out of the restaurant putting his arm around her as they walked the parking lot. He laughed her comment about him not knowing when her birthday was. She was right. "Well, if you tell me then I'll know. That's how people find out each other's birthdays. They have friendly conversations." He teased her with a smirk. He liked to tease people that he liked and he really liked Naala. He shook his head when she brought up being lactose intolerant. "Aaww.. That has to suck. Having to constantly be fearful of certain foods." He said walking with her. "But wait... You had those mozzarella sticks.. Are you going to have any reactions to them later?" He asked feeling some guilt for offering them to her. "If it makes you feel any better I am very allergic to shellfish." He said with a soft smile. "So no Lobster for me.. Not that I'd ever want to eat it anyway." Adam never understood why people ate Lobster after knowing the way that it was prepared. It was very barbaric.

He thought about the biker bar that Naala worked at. Being the youngest waitress in that kind of bar has to be like being a cub in a cave full of Bears. "I'd say that those guys and girls are the best security that a girl could ask for. Do they escort you to your car at quitting time?" He asked with a light laugh. He liked the thought of them tossing unruly students out. So many places can be ruined by obnoxious frat boys. Adam knew of a couple of places that were once popular spots only to be reduced to frat pits. Thankfully O'Reilly's wasn't that kind of bar. Every patron that attended, with the exception of a few, treated the place with respect.

The comment about movies beginning with a repairman coming to fix her microwave made Adam laugh because he'd seen those types of movies. Not that he would ever admit it. He shook his head laughing lightly. "You know... We could do that if you want." He joked. He wasn't looking to do get in bed with her anytime soon. He just had to make the joke. "You're very welcome." He said when she thanked him. "We'll get your microwave fixed. Don't worry about it. I'll come over and look at it and one of two things will happen." He said with a smile. "Either I'll fix it or blow a hole in the wall." He said with a light laugh. As they reached his car he took out the remote and unlocked it walking over to open Naala's door to let her in then closed the door getting in and they left the restaurant.

Naala liked having his arms around her, there used to be a time when she would tense or freeze up. Her past didn't make it easy for her. She probably would still tense at contact with someone she wasn't expecting it from but something felt right with Adam's arm around her as they made their way back to the parking lot and car. Dahlia smirked at his comment about the birthdays. "What if I don't like my birthday?" She perked her brow before smiling. "I'll give you a hint, it falls on the most Irish day in America." She giggles, that should give it away but maybe it wouldn't. As he worried about the appetizer causing a flare up she shook her head. "Cheese in limited proportions. Milk, yogurt, ice cream, those all make me sick almost instantly." Naala explains with a sweet smile on her face. "Don't worry about me, I hold my own." She grins vividly. "I don't like lobster but I do like crab and other seafood. Especially sushi." She says. "Also I don't like the idea of something being alive and being thrown into boiling water." She shivered at the thought.

She smiled as he mentioned the bikers being the best security. "They actually do, like I said they worry about me and they care. There have been a few times that were unfavorable and they were right there. Say what you will about bikers and motorcycle clubs but they're never the ones to cause a scene or make me uncomfortable. Its always the college kids, wanting cheap drinks realizing there aren't a lot of women in that place their age." Naala explains it made her mad when people judged the local MC. Sure they weren't straight edge but they had her back and she liked working there.

Dahlia blushed deeply it his response to her movie comment. She laughed a bit as she knew he was joking. It was nice to know and feel that comfortable around someone. "Maybe down the road it wouldn't be such a bad idea," she shot him a playful wink and laughed as he talked about the two ways the microwave could be fixed or not. "Such a handyman," she quips as she smiled when he opens her car door. "Thank you," she said softly as she slid into the passenger seat and buckled up.

As Adam drove he smiled. "St. Paddy's Day huh? That's easy to remember. I'll be sure to mark it down." He said with a smile. He looked forward to spending the day with Naala for her birthday. Gina always went out with her friends on her birthday leaving Adam at home. That was one of the many things that she did. She was a horrible person. When Naala assured him that she would be okay Adam let out a sigh. "That's good. I would have felt terrible." He said with a light smile stopping at a red light. "I agree.. I don't know how people can just pick a Lobster out of a tank and feel good about their choice.." He said shaking his head. "It has a very Roman Emperor feel to it. Like 'That one. He shall be boiled for my amusement!' " He said doing his best Emperor voice.

He gave a nod at the mention of the bikers always having her back. That had to make going to work pleasant. "Do the bikers have a nickname for you yet?" He asked curiously. "Like Spike or Chains?" He said with a laugh. As he sat at the red light he reached over taking ahold of her hand. He was starting to get strong feelings for her which was normally not like him. He was normally more reserved when it came to women but they was something about Naala. She made him feel like he could be himself. Soon the light changed and he continued driving. The thought of asking her to be his girl was still on his mind. He wasn't in love with her but he certainly was developing strong feelings for her. He hoped that she felt the same. He didn't want to come off as needy or clingy.

Adam felt a shiver go down his spine when Naala told him that maybe down the road they might sleep together. He started thinking about it but shook it off. He didn't want to get his hopes up for something like that so early. She said maybe after all. He chuckled at the handyman quip. "I've tinkered around with things in the past. The majority of them worked again except one....." He said remembering when he blew up a microwave that his neighbor had asked him to fix. Luckily he wasn't in the garage when it blew up. "Do you want to go back to the dorms or meet up with Nick and the others?" He asked as he was nearing O'Reilly's.

“That’s the day, it makes my birthday rather exciting. There are so many special events going on.” Naala smirked as he said he would mark his calendar. “And yours?” She asked, actually curious and happy to get to know one another. Now she just had to hope her memory didn’t fail her. Naala burst out laughing as he did his Roman Emperor voice. She clutched her stomach as she couldn’t stop laughing for a moment. “I buy live lobsters on New Year's eve every year.” Naala began to tell her story. “I buy them, cut the bands and set them free into the ocean so they can get a start to their new year. I mean the seals might eat them but to me that beats being boiled alive.” She said with a shrug. It was something she actually did, a weird little tradition she had set for herself every year.

Naala chuckled as they moved back to the biker bar conversation. “I hear Naals, and Doll a lot but most of the MC calls me Doc because they know I’m studying medicine and got my EMT last semester on top of my curriculum.” Naala smiled brightly. “So yeah, mostly Doc and Doll. It’s not in a bad way though, like it’s more endearing.” She said knowing there were plenty of women who might not like that but it never bothered Naala. She blushed as he took her hand, lacing her fingers between his with a smile.

“I feel like I should ask the story of the one exception,” she giggled with the cryptic way he spoke of tinkering with microwaves. However her mind was soon distracted when he asked her if she wanted to go back to the dorms or meet up with his friends. Naala shrugged, “Honestly, I am down with whatever.” She smiles.

Adam could think of a couple of exciting things that he and Naala could do on her birthday but he kept those thoughts to himself. He didn't want to come across as crude. He'd already made one sexual joke and that was enough so instead he told her his birthday. "April 21st. One day after 4/20." He said with a laugh. April 20th was a sacred day in colleges. After all the term itself originated in a college. Adam laughed with her after he made the Emperor joke. He didn't think that he'd make her laugh that hard. Soon he let out a happy sigh when he heard what Naala did with Lobsters. It sounded like a rescue mission. "That is awesome... I need to be a part of that." He said as he drove. "I don't mean to sound like I'm inviting myself. I just would love to do that. They deserve to live just as much as we do." He said with a smile. Naala had really impressed him. He would definitely ask her out.

When she mentioned the various nicknames that the bikers had given her he smiled. "I like those names. They fit the setting." He said as he held her hand surprised when Naala laced her fingers with his. The thoughts of whether or not she shared the same feelings were put to rest when Naala held his hand. He didn't have to fear some other guy coming between them. He didn't want to let go of her hand but he had to when the light changed. He would hold it when they got out of the car.

Adam chuckled when Naala asked about the exception. Shaking his head he let out a sigh. "One day I'll tell you. It's actually a pretty funny story." He said as he switched on his turn signal and turned into the parking lot of O'Reilly's Pub. He would at least make an appearance there since he told Nick that he would. He parked the car and shut it off sitting back. Now was the time to ask her. "Naala....." He said looking at her. "I really like you. Would you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked as he awaited her answer. He took her hand again, lacing his fingers with hers like she did with his. He glanced at the people going into the pub. He knew and liked a few of them. He turned his attention back to Naala giving a soft smile.

"April 21st." She said with a smile, it was a habit of hers to repeat things outloud in order to remember them. It didn't always work, but she did it anyways. She had heard of 4/20 but she had never partaken in that. Naala smiled when he talked about the lobsters, she liked that he liked her tradition and wanted to do it too. Part of her was hoping that he meant with her but she wasn't so certain. Naala squeezed his hand with a smile, she was beginning to really like Adam but everything felt very quick. Her whimful nature never put timelines on these matters but other people did so she would see where it would go. She wasn't the type to make the first move but she would follow the lead.

Naala had a gypsy soul, last minute plans didn't bother her, in fact she was terrible at making plans. Spontaneity was her forte, hence why she was quick to say yes when he asked her to dinner and she was glad she had because it had been a wonderful night thus far. "They are rather fitting aren't they," she laughed a bit. "You'll have to go there sometime, its an acquired taste for most but it is rather fun." She explains and lets him slip his hand from hers to drive.

As the car parked she shifted in her seat, "what is this place called again?" She perked her brow as the car turned off. When he asked, she wasn't expecting it to be so fast. Most put a timeline on these things, maybe he didn't. "Are you sure?" She asked realizing that answer might strike up some nerves. "I mean I will say yes, if you are certain." Naala didn't want to open herself up for getting hurt. She wouldn't give a second chance so she wanted him to be sure before she officially said yes.

"It's called O'Reilly's Irish Pub. It's a very popular place for the local college students. Myself included." He said with a smile. Adam didn't always like going to crowded places but this pub was big enough that if it were to get too crowded for him he could go to get a breath of fresh air. When Naala asked Adam if he was sure about asking her out so soon it stopped him in his tracks. She was right. He was making a quick decision. After all they'd just met a little over an hour ago and Adam had already asked her out. He thought about what she said and gave a mental sigh giving her hand a light squeeze. "You're right. I am going too fast. It's just that I really like you and don't want to miss the opportunity." He said with a light smile looking into her eyes. "You know what I mean?" He asked before taking off his seat belt with his free hand. He was hesitant to let go of her hand but he had to so he let go slowly. "Let's go in. See what's going on." He said getting out of the car and walked around to open her door. Once she got out he shut it taking her hand in his.

As they walked toward the pub two girls come out to smoke a cigarette. They laughed at something that happened earlier as one looked at him giving a smile and a wave. It was Danielle, a classmate of his. Adam gave a wave back in passing but they didn't exchange words. Adam opened the door, stepping aside so that Naala could walk in first then he followed. "Are you having anything to drink or have you hit your limit for the night?" He asked as he walked up to the bar ordering them both a beer. He made sure to order Naala an Amber. The pub wasn't far from the campus which made it an ideal spot. Adam had walked back on a couple of occasions when he was too drunk to drive. He paid for their beers and turned to Naala handing hers over before taking a drink of his own.

He looked at all the people that were there. It was packed as usual. He soon spotted Nick and his friends. Nick waved he and Naala over. "Adam! Over here, mate!" He shouted over the music. Eric looked at Naala as they approached them. "Your mate has a good looking bird, Nick." Eric said with a smirk. Nick shook his head. "Don't be hitting on her, mate. That's his girl." He said warning his friend. Adam gave a smile shaking their hands. "Hey Nick!" He said turning to give a nod to Gavin and Eric. "Gentlemen. This is Naala. We met earlier today under rather funny circumstances." He said with a light laugh. "Naala, these are Nick's friends Gavin and Eric." The two nodded. Gavin gave a friendly smile. "Nice to meet you, Naala. I think I've seen you in the hall a couple of times."

Naala listened, he seemed to really like the place. She doubted that she would like it more than the biker bar because there was something about that atmosphere she really liked. However, she was always a fan of Irish Pubs. It didn't sound like a typical college bar, she hoped it wasn't too crowded, that kind of thing made her nervous even as an extrovert. "I am looking forward to it," she assured him as he finished talking about it. Naala felt bad as she seemed to talk him down, which wasn't her intention but she didn't want him to rush into anything either. She didn't want him to regret his decision. Naala perked her brow as he seemed to realize it too. "5 dates, decide after 5 dates. As I said, I follow whims like a gypsy. I just don't want either of us to regret it before getting to know one another well." Naala smiled, she was ready to say yes but she was also okay with getting to know one another better. "And I won't see anyone between those 5 dates. There's no one else till you make your decision. So you won't miss an opportunity." Naala smiled brightly trying to offer him some reassurance before getting out of the car. She slipped her hand into his lacing their fingers together once more as he led the two of them inside.

Naala smiled as Adam waved to someone he must have known. As they made their way in she gripped his hand a little tighter, she wasn't the best in new environments, even as an extroverted person. Naala was always happy to explore outside of her comfort zone, as long as she had someone she could trust with her. Right now, she felt like Adam was trustworthy, she hoped it would stay that way. "I mean I'm not the one driving, so I don't mind having a few. Besides campus isn't too far if we need to get a lyft or walk." Naala was easygoing, willing to go with the flow so long as it was done safely. She wasn't about to let someone drive when they shouldn't but she knew they were both fine as of the moment. Naala took a minute to straighten out her dress before they approached his friends. She didn't want to look sloppy, and she rarely did.

It was a little more packed than she had anticipated, her hand still resting in Adam's for the time being. She didn't want to get lost or separated from him in the new environment that was like a sensory overload for her. As they approached his friends she wore a smile, she was good in these situations, not shy to talk but she still held Adam's hand. "Hello," she said with a chipper tone giving a slight wave. "Oh yes my burrito," she said to the story of the funny circumstances. "Or my microwave, it didn't want to cooperate and I wasn't walking down to the mess hall to heat up my deluxe burrito so I knocked on Nick and Adam's door. They're across the hall from me and my roommate." Naala smiled briefly before noting the two others. "Nice to meet you. And yeah I think I have seen you around Gavin. You look familiar." She said with a sweet smile.

Adam sat at a nearby table with Nick and the others, sitting next to Naala. He glanced at her giving a smile while taking a drink of his beer. He started thinking about the Five dates deal that they made in the car. It sounded like a fair amount of time to gauge whether or not they liked each other. It kind of bummed Adam out but Naala was right. When she told him that she wouldn't see anyone else between the said dates it made him feel better. He didn't want to put all of the time into dating her only to get his heart broken though Naala didn't look like the type of girl who would do that.

As they sat talking Adam started wondering if this was the best decision. He and Naala could have been back at his dorm watching a movie or getting to know each other. He took another drink while talking to Nick. He contemplated leaving. After all he was only going to make an appearance there anyway. There was no real reason for them to be there. It was too crowded and too noisy for him. On any other night he would stayed until closing time and then drank a couple more outside but on this night wanted to be back at the dorm. He glanced at Naala again giving a sigh. He decided to finish his beer and leave. His dorm was empty so they would have a nice quiet place to themselves.

When Naala brought up her burrito Nick chuckled, shaking his head. "Well it's clear to me that you and Adam were meant to go on your date." He said nudging Adam. "I'll bet that if you went back there and tried to turn it on again it will switch on." He said with a confident grin. The other two agreed with him. Adam laughed lightly giving a shrug. He saw this as an opportunity to leave. He leaned over nudging Naala. "Let's get out of here. This noise is driving me nuts.." He said finishing his beer and setting the glass on the table. "Well lads.. I hate to run but I'm getting a little tired. I haven't had much sleep and it's starting to catch up with me." He said with a slight frown. Nick gave a nod. "Alright then. Take care and I'll try to come in quietly later." He said as he and Adam stood up shaking hands. Adam then looked to Naala. "Ready?" He asked with a smile trying to ignore the noise.

The bar was nice, it didn't seem like too bad of a place but Adam's mood seemed off since they arrived. Naala knew she was probably overthinking things so she pushed it aside while she drank her beer. She was usually a conversationalist but for now she remained quiet. The young woman had a lot on her mind. It seemed like everything was going well with the two of them, she hated that she put a number on dates before a decision but it was her way of guarding her heart. She would have said yes, her whimful nature would have acted upon his offer but at the same time she needed him to be sure. Most people grew sick of her pretty quickly and she wasn't about to dive into a three day relationship if he were to be the same.

Everyone seemed to be having their own conversation going on and Adam seemed distracted. She reached for his hand and squeezed it sweetly to let him know she was still there and still comfortable. She would have preferred just going back to the dorms and hanging out with him and getting to know him better but she knew this was an important part of getting to know someone, getting to know their friends too. Most mistook Naala's best friend as her partner. It was funny how upset guys had gotten over Travis. If they had just asked her she would have told them he was into men just as much as she was.

Naala smiled as Nick chuckled, smiling brightly at his words. "Yes lucky to meet me!" She said bubbly and letting out a brief laughter. "Ok well I am lucky to have met Adam of course too." Naala smiled at the group. "Though I think the microwave is very done. I got a bit flustered with it and broke the knob." She admitted blushing. As Adam decided he was ready to leave Naala hopped up to her feet, finishing the last of her beer. "Thanks, nice meeting you all!" Naala chimed before they made their way out of the bar. "That was fun," she said and she meant it, she liked going new places but she also liked getting to know someone in a quieter environment. "It's very unlike the place I work at," she chuckles.

Adam gave a nod when Naala said that it was fun. "Yes it was but the jukebox was driving me crazy.." He said as they got in the car. He started the car and left the pub. He hated to lie to Nick but he just wanted to be with Naala alone. "Does it get really noisy in the biker bar?" He asked as he drove. "I'd imagine the sound of biker rock and constant games of pool would be the soundtrack." He said with a light laugh. He would definitely have to go at least once just to see Naala and experience the place and its ambience. He switched on his turn signal as he pulled onto the street that the campus was on and soon pulled parking lot parking his car and shutting it off.

He sat there for a few moments trying to then gets out letting Naala out and took her hand as they walked through the parking lot and inside the building. "I'm going to change real quick when we get upstairs." He said as he walked to the elevator. "Would you like to watch a movie or something? Nick and I have amassed a pretty big collection of Blu-Rays. Or we could just sit and talk." He said with a smile as he pressed the up button and stood back waiting. I hope they I've made a good impression on her.. Adam thought to himself. Sure he had done all of the right things but it would take only one mishap to ruin an otherwise perfect evening.

Soon the elevator opened and he stepped on waiting for Naala. He pressed the button for the floor that they lived on.

Naala had to laugh when he made his presumptions about the biker bar. He wasn't far off from the facts, it was no secret what the stereotypical biker bar atmosphere was like. "You aren't far off, they play old country too. A lot of swearing, and the sounds of bikes revving as they come and go." Naala smiled as she talked about her little happy place. "Though the pool table broke last week in a brawl, so the owner is currently working to replace it." Naala laughed, there was something about the place that gave her an adrenaline rush. Though most thought her to be crazy working in such an environment and looking as she looked. "I'm glad we left though, the music did make it difficult to have coherent conversations. Besides I like spending the time with you, hard to get to know ya when your friends are around." She said with a smile.

As they pulled up to the parking lot she let out a happy sigh, she liked returning to the dorms after she hadn't been stuck in them all day. She liked that he was taking her hand now, it felt natural and almost strange when her hand wasn't in his at this point. "I like movies," she smirked playfully. "I'm going to get into comfortable clothing though, I'm not wearing this dress to chill and watch movies. Maybe you'll have my favorite movie in your collection." She chuckles. "So we'll change and then watch a movie?" She asked.

She stepped in the elevator and stood next to him as they made their way back to their dorms.

Adam laughed lightly at the mention of a brawl breaking the pool table. Not that brawls weren't a common thing in a biker bar or any bar for that matter but he pictured a guy throwing another through the table. "Well I hope it doesn't cost him a lot to get it replaced." He said with a light chuckle. When she said that she liked spending time with him it made him smile and give her hand a light squeeze. "And I like spending time with you." He said with a wink. "And you're right. My friends would most certainly have made it hard for us to get to know each other." He said with a smile. "They like to tease. But in a nice way."

He smiled back at Naala when she mentioned the possibility of him having her favorite movie. "Well we've got a tall bookshelf full of them so I'm sure that it's there." He said with a light laugh. "If not it will be because we are always buying new ones." He said at the elevator started going up to their floor. Adam suddenly remembered something funny that he and Nick had talked about. "Oh and we always make the joke that we will have a custody battle over the collection one day." He said laughing lightly. "Just imagine that court case." He said as he couldn't wait to sit on the couch with her in his arms.

Soon the elevator stopped on their floor and Adam stepped out turning back to Naala. "Alright, we'll go get changed and meet back in twenty minutes." He said and went into his dorm to change and do a few other things.

As they made their way back to their respective dorms, she smiled sweetly as he spoke. "Right, twenty minutes." She said as she came to her room door. As she slipped back into her room when the door closed she had her twenty minutes. She didn't need that long, it never took her that long to get ready. Really for anything. She walked into her room and let out a content sigh, she was really enjoying her night despite having plans canceled, at least new ones came up and Adam was nice to be around. There was no upset there.

Naala slipped into a pair of sweatpants and large hoodie. She enjoyed her comfortable clothing, it was like being snuggled up in a blanket. She paced about for another several minute, not sure what to do with herself. Naala picked up a few things around the apartment, folded some blankets and eventually it seemed like it was time. She grabbed her flops, which she wore with socks and made her way across the hall, knocking on Adam's door once again.

Adam went in and changed into a pair of black adidas sweatpants with gray stripes and a black tank top. He tied his hair back in a ponytail and started to clean the dorm a bit so that it didn't look like a total pig stye. He and Nick kept a pretty tidy dorm though there were days when they let it get pretty messy. He then walked into the bathroom and gave it a quick cleaning though it didn't really need it but that was the most important room when it came to making a good impression on a girl. Once that was done he washed his hands and walked into the kitchen to see if they had any popcorn. It would be perfect for the evening. He found it and sat a couple of bags on the counter to make when they started their movie.

Adam walked around the dorm giving everything one last look over. He closed his bedroom door since they likely wouldn't be going in there although he couldn't help but start thinking about the day that they make plans for that. He let out a sigh checking the time on his phone. Maybe he should have ten minutes but he wanted to give Naala enough time to do whatever she had to do. Once twenty minutes had passed he heard her knock on his door and walked over opening the door with a smile. "Hey hon. Come on in. " He said stepping aside so she could come in.

Naala waited by the door but it didn't take long until it was opened and she was greeted with a smile. "Well howdy there!" Naala said with a chipper expression as she took a step inside the dorm. "Oh you picked up a little, it wasn't even messy." She said having not really noticed anything during her earlier visit and her microwave catastrophe. She smiled as she thought about how a broken microwave introduced her to Adam, what a story. She made herself at home as she walked in and plopped down on the couch, she wasn't even sure that was where they were watching the movie but she assumed it was.

"Alright, I'm going to make you figure out my favorite movie with one quote. If you don't know it, I think this isn't a good idea," she smirked laughing lightly but she was only kidding. "Okay here it is," she paused before enthusiastically quoting a line from her favorite movie. "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!" She chuckled playfully.

Adam closed the door after Naala walked in and walked into the kitchen. When she made the comment about him cleaning up he smiled. "Well I can't leave the place untidy when a babe like you is coming over." He said as with a light laugh. He opened the microwave, tossing a bag of popcorn in and started it up. He was anxious to get on the couch with her. He wondered if they would cuddle and possibly make-out. Only time would tell. The bag started popping as he walked over to he and Nick's prized Blu-Ray shelf. It had hundreds of titles on it to suit any pallet. It would be nearly impossible to guess a movie that they didn't as new titles arrived with great regularity.

Adam listened closely as Naala said the quote with great enthusiasm giving a laugh at it, shaking his head. "No need to call this whole thing off. We've got that." He said as he pulled Gladiator from the shelf and put it in the player after taking the other movie out, putting it back in its case and setting it back with the others. That was a big time rule in their dorm. The whole room started to smell of buttered popcorn as Adam got up, and took it out when it was done. He took out a large bowl and poured the popcorn in, salting it lightly and walking over to turn the lights down. He then walked into living room setting the bowl beside Naala while he turned the TV on and grabbed the Blu-Ray remote sitting closely next to her. "And now for our feature presentation." He said with a smile starting the movie and taking a piece of popcorn eating it with a smile.

Naala couldn't help but laugh at his comment, "Oh my place isn't this clean I don't think you had anything to worry about," she smiled wiggling comfortably into the couch as she listened to him. She listened to him start the microwave and smirked, "Oh now you're just showing off, with your fancy microwave that works." A brief laugh left her lips as he walked over to the blu-ray collection. It was all rather impressive especially as most things could be found on streaming services or digitally. She had become reliant on streaming services. She had Peacock, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, Disney plus, and ESPN even though she rarely took the time to watch sports. She went through phases of what she watched, luckily most of them gave student discounts for college alumni. Naala just smiled as he looked for the movie wondering if they had them organized alphabetically or not.

Naala clapped her hands as he told her not too worry as they did have her all time favorite in their collection. She would not have worried regardless, as she found many movies entertaining, Gladiator just being one she could watch over and over again. "Good I would have felt bad just taking off," she chuckled sweetly as he placed the blu-ray in. The whole place began to smell of popcorn, which was always a nice smell when going to watch a movie. Another smile crossed her lips as he took a seat beside her and began the movie, she was glad they hadn't stayed at the bar long. She had spent enough of her time working at a bar and that one had been much louder than the biker bar. She sunk into the couch comfortably, picking at the popcorn here and there but content as the movie began to play.
