Sam couldn't help but feel a bit anxious as the phone began to ring in her ear. The two of them hadn't talked for a while and although it wasn't on purpose, it still offered some awkward tension between them. As the familiar voice echoed in her ear, cracking jokes right off the bat - she broke into a wide smile. Same ol' mom.

"Ya know, I was just takin' pictures of some mob bosses. Catchin' criminals talkin' round the water cooler," her jest wasn't nearly as good but the accent was decent. She laughed, shaking her head at how ridiculous they must have sounded. "It's good to hear from you, mom. I was calling to tell you some good news..." she paused for dramatic effect, "I got a new job!"

"That's wonderful to hear, Sam!" She could almost imagine her mother's proud smile, "Now tell me all about what you've been up to."

They spoke for a while, talking about Samantha's roommate, her apartment, and about her new job at Eternity. Mum grilled her on everything from how well she was doing at work to the friends she was making and, of course, asked all of the common motherly questions: "Are you eating well? How's the new job? Do you have enough money? Have you met anyone special?"

When Sam mentioned Oliver's birthday at the casino, she warned.

"Be careful at casinos. Their business is not to sell you a good time - their business is to take your money."

She when on to share some details about life back in Samantha's old town: how she's enjoyed meeting new friends at her motorcycle club, started a new gluten-free diet, and found her new addiction in playing guitar. She seemed to be doing well, and as Sam hung up the phone, she asked her to keep in closer contact.

The usual questions littered through the phone, causing Sam to roll her eyes and answer 'yes' to each one. Granted, it wasn't entirely the truth but she didn't want to worry her mom about the powers. Not after how Oliver responded to it. Speaking of, she really should have made certain that he wouldn't talk of it to anyone else. She trusted him under normal circumstances, but this one was far from normal. As she made a passing comment about the casinos, Sam laughed. "Trust me, all I was doing was watching idiots throw their money away."

It was nice, talking with her mom again. Especially hearing that she was doing well and enjoying her life as she deserved. The two shared an 'I love you' and 'talk soon' before Sam stuffed the phone into her pocket. Off she went to work! Time to be an overachiever and try to be normal.

Keyword being try.

Few people worked at Eternity on Saturday. None of the people Samantha had met were in the office when she walked in.

But, as she walked up to her desk, she spotted someone ahead - a figure dressed in all black, about her height, bent over her computer. Moving closer, she noticed the mystery figure, a woman, held a camera in hand and snapped photos of the monitor.

Samantha had never seen her before, and her dark brown hair in a bob and a tight suit give her the appearance of a government spy. She tapped the keyboard and adjusted the camera. As Sam watched her working, she tilted her head to the side, startled, and turns in her direction.

- Confront her.
- Stop time and walk out.
- Stop time and catch her.

Those who worked on the weekends seemed to be none that she had met before. She wasn’t too concerned with such, so long as they stuck to their work and didn’t try to chat her up then everything would be-

-Sam blinked, coming to an abrupt halt as she noticed someone at her desk. More importantly, the attractive individual was snapping shots of the computer monitor in a suspicious manner. She thought to use her powers and see what was going on, but it was too risky. There was a chance that it would resume too soon and mess everything up.

So she acted as any normal person would and walked right up to her desk with a forced smile. “Hi there, may I help you?” She asked despite still being a small distance away.

The woman crept into the aisle, keeping her back to Sam, and shoved her mini-camera into a zippered pocket of her jacket. "Sorry, my mistake," she said and strutted toward the front of the office.

In the next moment, she's running across the office, reaching back and tossing a rolling chair in Samantha's path. The next moment she was gone, running out through the door and outside into the crowd.

The mystery of the woman's identity and her purpose at Eternity will go unsolved for now.

- Contact the police about the break-in.
- Call Benjamin immediately.
- Check out what the woman was reviewing and keep her presence to yourself for now.

"Hey, wait-!" Sam called out, extending a hand out toward the strange woman as if that would help. Everything happened so fast and before she knew it, there was a chair rolling in her direction and the mystery had vanished. "Dammit," she muttered under her breath. If she had used her powers, then she might have found out more! However, she refused to be tied to it like that. Any human would have had the same, normal results.

No sense dwelling in what went wrong. With a deep exhale, Sam returned to her computer so she could try and see if there were any remnants of what the mystery woman was taking pictures of.

Samantha searched through the recent information viewed, seeing document after document scrolling through the screen, all related to something named "the Silvio account". It must have been a project left on the computer by one of the other staff.

Many of the files were password-protected or hidden away, yet the woman found a way to access them all. The last page on screen showed personal policies on two employees named Karen Simmons and Samuel Douglas. Why the mystery woman would care about life insurance policies and death benefit payouts, Samantha did not know. What was the account about? Why was she searching through Sam's computer? Or was this somehow related to her new time-control ability? Too many questions and no answers left her with an uneasy feeling and an inability to be productive.
