The Lone Wolf
Eight months into sword art online,
one tragic day, now called the "Day of Change" changed the way the players of SAO battled bosses and fought to clear the 100 floors of the game. On this day the patterns of the bosses of every floor changed with every respawn. Many players lost their lives that day and many continue to. The bosses were deemed too risky to fight and without as many people on the front lines, players began to realize clearing the game was becoming more ad more impossible. Soon the ratio of fighters to players who lived ordinary lives became even, then those players just living their lives outnumbered the ones willing to fight.
Many large guilds still stayed active but their numbers diminished fast, they soon began to ask players who hadn't fought since the beginning of the game to help out on the front lines. People thought they were crazy and saw no reason to die when most of them were used to living in SAO. Some did come help to fight, most of them starting off at lower levels and relearning how combat worked in the game.
Many guilds began to wonder if what they had asked for was really the right choice. Many of these players were scared of the dire wolves from very early floors. They however helped in any way to train these players.
Many of these veteran players were realizing that most of these players were blacksmiths or woodcutters or bard. Classes in the game meant to be used for jobs, not for fighting. They were going to have to clear all one hundred floors with players not meant to engage in combat. This was going to be an interesting next few months.
