“Rig” - A headset made to insert a user’s mind into any virtual world he decides to upload into the rig. Think of Total Recall.
“Fancy” - Short for “fantasy.” Most commonly refers to the virtual programs uploaded into rigs.
“Roach” - A small device that looks like a small cockroach which is placed onto the skin to slowly inject drugs straight into the blood. Many people use this.
“Roach Bites” - The marks left behind after using a roach. Usually heals over time.
“Synth Food” - Of course, short for “synthetic food.” Refers to any food that originated on Earth and became extinct but was brought to Terra Nova by storing their genetic makeups and then recreating them. The term is inaccurate as the food is 100 percent real, but some people hold superstitions and have popularized the term for widespread use.
“Flatsticks” or “Flats” - The new version of the cigarette where the shape is flat rather than round. Packages can now store more cigarettes and the overall quality is more efficient.
“Insta-Meal” or “Insta-Food” - With the technology capable of storing genetic makeups of foods and recreating them entirely, food can now be sold in powder form which is then grown into real food by adding water, just like those sci-fi movies you love. Insta-Meal isn’t exactly a company, it simply refers to any food that you can serve in powder form and grow with water.
