Fantasy ignore this

I wouldn't mind doing Nightmare incarnate but I'm also fine with Human or Walker, I have character ideas for all of em xD Please make a CS I'm so tempted

I'm loving this, its very original and yet seems to take a lot of inspiration from various places. The Matrix, Five Nights at Freddy's, Various legends, Maybe a little Mad Max? Rebuilt in a demonic fantasy apocalypse. I'm very interested and I've been looking for a demon-based fantasy RP to test out a character I've been working on.

The Story

In the year 2032, the world ended.

12 years following the apocalypse, a new world order emerged - one of demons and the gods they serve.
At the southern tail of Japan, three major cities excise themselves from the rest of the nation:

The City of Blood.
The City of the Forgotten.
The City of Madness.

Each supposedly reigned over by one of the seven Children of the Devil - ancient evils made manifest in the bodies of Men.
You are a survivor in this world gone mad - good and evil is a dead conflict, and making it through the next day alive was the most you could hope for.
Until the games began.

Each Devil's Child has been thrust into a game to lead their "flock" on a pilgrimage to prove themselves and ascend as the one true Devil.
You are no longer simply a survivor. You are a member of somebody's flock.
And you just drew the shortest straw.

The World of CotD

[Exorcism / Demonology / Machines]

In this world, there are three primary methods of fighting back against the unknown. . .

Exorcism: The first is to put your faith in the holy arts - talismans, enchanted weapons, and spirit invocations. While highly effective against demons, these techniques don't offer much advantage against normal humans. Though not always true, exorcists tend to keep to themselves and rarely trust in those sketchy survivors and certainly not those who practice demonology. They tend to form enclaves where they can, passing their knowledge, skills, and weapons to those they trust, often forming master and apprentice bonds between each other. Some exorcist clans have split from one another, depending on their philosophy towards humans survivors and even subhumans who have been partially possessed or mutated. Half stake their bets on humanity as a whole, while the other half sees them as no better than the demons and do little to interfere in their strife unless it its beneficial for them to do so.

Demonology: The second is to sacrifice part of your humanity and delve into the dark arts - demon summoning, mutation, and even willful possession. This is the fastest and arguably most effective track to gaining power in this world against any kind of foe, but it is not without cost. The calling forth of a demon is performed my drawing blood, usually blood from the palm - sacrificial wounds recover very quickly, as per the nature of these pacts, but the initial pain and blood spilled do not diminish - in fact, the greater the pain inflicted and the more blood spilled, the more potent the summon. Demons last until the summoner's blood stops spilling from their sacrificial wound. Other demonic arts such as blood magic and necromancy are often drawn in blood sigils and other reagents, though the most talented of practitioners need only a swift motion to perform the deed. Finally, possession comes in partial and full forms. A fully possessed entity will never come to their senses, short of a miracle from heaven, while partially possessed entities lose control of their bodies when they lose consciousness, driving them to take protective measures against themselves before they sleep. In the case of the latter, by tapping into their latent demonic energy they may draw upon the powers of their demon without being controlled by it, though overuse makes it difficult to do so.

Machines: The last method is to put your trust in machines - guns, cybernetic weapons, and vehicles. While special equipment and vehicles are difficult to find, regular ol' guns and other weapons are not uncommon and work against just about anything your own size. Usually. Expect to see plenty of firearms, chainsaws, swords, and the occasional decked out battle truck. However, weapons are not the only way to fight back and survive in this world - somehow, technology remains mostly intact. Though the userbase has since tanked, the internet and even social media live on and cell phone reception is only about. . . half as bad as it used to be. For this, mankind has the strange 'Dodger Dogs' roaming the world to thank.

[Entities]

Devil's Children: (7+) The Devil's Children are the de facto rulers of this forsaken world. Each inherits the soul of a legendary evil, signified through their differently shaped pupils - it is not uncommon to see legions of demons swearing fealty to the masters of their territory. Little is known about them, other than that they are not unlike gods walking the Earth. However, the time has come for them to take action. Now, they will engage in a bloody conflict to see who makes it to the top, and all of humanity will be caught in its wake.

The Devil's Child that you serve has no memory, no influence, and virtually no power.
Welcome to the climb.

>Known Devils<
Lucifer: Inverted Cross Eyes
Shadow of God: Full Cross Eyes
Death: Hourglass Eyes
Nurarihyon: Character Text Eyes
Red Queen: Card Eyes
Baron: Eyes within Eyes
Nightmare: Pentagram Eyes

Walker Demons: (30% of World Population) Many of the demons that have inherited the new world have chosen to take on the guise of the humans that have existed before them, putting on a mere simulacra of human behavior as they interact with one another. Some even begin to form complex relationships and motives among the others but like their disguise, their imitation of humanity is only skin deep - and only a single out-of-place remark away from showing their true hellish forms. To the untrained eye, a walker demon is scarcely different from a deranged human being. Occasionally walker demons will be seen with a few traits of their inhuman lineage readily visible, such as. . . a brain and stem for a head. Instead of just a head.

Feral Demons: (45% of World Population) Other demons are less subtle. They roam in their true demon forms, seeking to tear apart surviving humans or, less often, to possess them. They tend not to mingle with walker demons, though that isn't to say that they can't work together, or sometimes even fight amongst each other. Feral demons come in all shapes and sizes - everything from shadowy nightmare figures to insectoids to beasts of blood to uncanny humanoids. Almost all of them are hostile, but a select few are more. . . tame in their disposition.

Humans: (10% of World Population) Human survivors. They are scattered far and wide - some blend in precariously on the brink of death within walker demon societies, while others form resistance groups in the dead zones populated by feral demons. Whichever the case, most humans that have survived this far are probably a badass in some way and can be taken no less lightly than their demonic foes. Expect to encounter various factions of various moral caliber.

Dodger Dogs: (15% of World Population) These strange humanoid mascot suits perform many of the day-to-day tasks humans used to take care of in the past. Electrical maintenance, construction work, and even cashiering at the local burger place. It doesn't seem like they can speak or be communicated with beyond the most basic capacity. They are typically ignored by demons and are not hostile, until you try to take its costume off, in which case it will enter a berserk frenzy. Rule of thumb seems to be to let them do their jobs, though some are more curious about their origins than others. . .

[Major Cities]

Death Wish: City of Blood | The city of Death Wish, also known as the City of Blood. Your journey begins here - cramped neon streets caked in rust and blood, surrounded by rural villas leading into the mountains. A modern marvel in the middle of nowhere, with an abandoned highway eventually leading to more sprawling urban landscapes some hundred miles away into Haven.

Yomi: City of the Forgotten | Perhaps one of the only Devil's Children infamous to the public, Genzo, the inheritor of Nurarihyon, establishes his dominion in the new City of the Forgotten, a bustling underworld of yokai-like demons hidden somewhere on the outskirts of Death Wish.

? ? ?: City of Madness | A rumored world of twisted fantasy that supposedly exists in a realm outside of our own. But perhaps a rumor is all it is.

Haven: City of Machines | The so-called Haven of humanity. Legends speak of it as a place of paradise, a symbol of human strength and ingenuity. At its heart, the Rhaven Broadcasting Studio, sending a message of hope to all the hopeless. . . "Come, to the City of Machines. Your new life awaits here."

[Roles]

Child of the Devil: Only one player (or myself if no one takes it) can fill this role. This Child is a human being who has inherited a newer Devil known as Nightmare, symbolized by pentagrams in their eyes. The game began when the Child of Nightmare first truly awakened - with little memory of the past, no demonic following to assist them, and powers they have no idea how to use - this Child is utterly the weakest and most pathetic of the presumed seven, with no two ways about it. And now, they must prepared to lead a flock of human survivors through the deadly demon infested streets of the new world.

Humans: Exorcists, faction members, or plain' old survivors. The mark of the Pentagram has appeared on your body, making you a member of Nightmare's flock.
Or maybe you've just been caught up in this mess in some way. Figure it out.

(Walker) Demons: While demons cannot be flock members, many are subservient to their devils. However, as Nightmare has no influence, all demons are unaffiliated with them by default.
I’m definitely interested in this, as the Child or as a human survivor
