About this thread
This is where character sheets for Chasing Rabbits will be posted. If you have any questions, please ask in the OOC thread. Do not post in this thread without clearing your character sheet with me first.

Character creation process
This roleplay will use D&D 5th Edition character sheets. However, characters will start at level 0 and no class, using a unique set of rules based on your characters background.

The process is as follows, for the beginning of this roleplay:

1. Create a character as though this were a modern/realistic roleplay. Include their motivation for attending the convention. Or, if they were not directly going to the convention, explain why that character was on the same airplane.
2. Based on your character's "real" backstory, assign them a background from the Core D&D rules. Non-core content is acceptable if you're willing to plead your case.
3. Use point/buy with the standard fantasy amount of points (27) to create your character's stats.
4. Apply racial bonuses from their new fantasy race.
5. HP for level 0 will be assigned based on a combination of chosen background and constitution modifier.

I have prepared a temporary character sheet for level 0, for use until we reach level 1 and we can use online character sheet builders like civilized human beings.

Backstory
William had a quiet but fulfilling life. Being a proud nerd, he got himself a job as an IT, helping others with his natural talent for technology. A curious guy, he spent a good amount of time researching whatever interested him at the moment, building up a rather dangerous wealth of random facts. And of course, video games were a part of the mix and while not very social, going to a convention once in a while deemed itself worthy of his time. But this time, things obviously didn’t go as planned…

Background
Because of his curious nature and tendency to do research on a myriad of subjects, he would be seen as a Sage.

Backstory
Pretty average life overall, but she was in a traumatic car accident not too long ago and thanks to her shitty American health insurance, she has to fly out of town to see anyone for help. Thank you, corporate USA. Being booted into a fantasy world was not something she expected, even less so to appear in a cat's body with unusually long limbs. For reasons she can't comprehend, she is capable of speech and can communicate despite being...a cat. She swears she's not a furry.

Background
She would certainly fall under the Disgrace background (Disgrace (5e Background) - D&D Wiki). She was born into a very rich family and never met her parents' expectations like her siblings did. She eventually just embraced being the black sheep of the family.

Backstory
Enoki had been interested in poisons when he was 10, after learning about rattlesnakes. He googled about it. He sucked at other classes except for math and science because he could pay attention. His passion for poison nearly stopped when he came to find his uni roommate dead from poisoned food that he saved to study said poison. However, the poison was fast-acting and Enoki wasn't around his fridge at the time of the poisoning. He'd tried to warn his roommate not to touch anything of his but said roommate wouldn't listen to him because he was younger than the roommate. He was actually tried for poisoning his roommate, but thankfully, was put into jail for two years for manslaughter. He was actually a bit bitter about it for a little while. Then he realized he could help people by posting sticky notes on all his items. He was bored, so he decided to try a video game for fun, and found out he liked it, so he bought more. He found out about the convention and decided: eh, I'll go.

At school however she's more of a problem child, struggling to keep her grades up and constantly being in trouble for fighting. Hey, it's not her fault she can't stand bullies. Still it means most kids are afraid and try to avoid her, except for some reason Atrix who she helped once and now sticks to her like glue. He even drags her around to do all sorts of nerdy stuff, including this convention they're going to. Still she can't really complain about having a friend.

Backstory
Shauna could be described as a young soul in an older person's body. As a young girl, she insisted on growing up quickly--especially vertically. Some would call her "fun-size" and allude to her as a child, even in her early twenties. However, despite her hatred towards her size and features, she found a hobby turned career with it. Cosplaying, anime, video games—you name it! Shauna reinvented herself through photoshoots and crafting costumes of her favorite characters. After winning a few cosplay competitions, she began her cosplay business with the pseudonym "Hush." Hush had bodyguards and handlers at events; they had contracts with conventions to be their mascots on-site. Twitch streams, Instagram Reels, TikToks—you name it, she probably has it!


Background
Hush found fame in her hometown and began to travel far and wide to fantastical events. Her entertainment became so well known that she was invited to events and kingdoms to perform. Funnily enough, she found fame through small communities and garnered higher nobilities' attention. She was on her way to one such event until fate found her amid fans and traveling complications.
