Alright so before we get to characters a little about the Rp. As stated on the IC page this roleplay takes place at a foster home. That however does not mean you have to play a foster kid if you would like to be a member of the foster homes staff that is okay as well.

school will be a thing throughout the RP so expect to RP at school as well. I plan to have a lot of fun with this RP and there will be plenty to do.

The only role within the foster home that is not available will be the Director as interactions with him will be taken care of by me.

Now onto the rules of the Rp.
1. Please no John De's or Mary Sue's make your characters fun and unique.
2. Bullying will not be tolerated (interactions between characters does not count as long as both parties are okay with it)

To the outside world Asher often seems cold, rude, and even mean. He often acts like he doesn't care about anyone or even himself and always does whatever he has to in order to be in control of a given situation. He also tends to be reckless in both his life and relationships going off and doing crazy things often against the rules and almost always unsafe without thinking of the consequences or who it might effect. One thing you can be sure of tho is no matter what stupid thing he is doing he always has it on camera this of course has led to him getting caught many times.

Asher cares about his appearance to an extreme level always checking how he looks before walking into a room the quickest way to upset him? Messing with his hair do this and you are sure to be on his bad side.

However when Asher is around those he truly trusts he turns into a completely different person. He's kind, compassionate, and even a bit vulnerable. Unfortunately few people ever get to see this side of Asher as he doesn't trust easy but even still due to his kind nature he often does small things to help people or make them feel better as long as he can be sure nobody knows it was him.

Before The Home

Asher was born to Jane and Michael Miller on the second of April 2007 in Las Angeles, California. But unfortunately the life of Celebrities' and Glamour was not the life he was destined for. See his parents weren't exactly the kind of people any sane person would trust with a kid they weren't stable moving from place to place as they got kicked out for not paying rent. They did drugs quite extensively always high on something and they could barley afford to feed themselves so naturally this didn't bode well for young Asher.

He spent the first four years of his life moving from place to place being around drugs constantly but lucky for him it seemed somehow his parents had pulled themselves together enough to care for Asher he didn't have the best life but he was fed, clothed, and healthy so that's something. But this was not destined to last forever in May of 2011 his father Overdosed and died this left Asher alone with his mother who very quickly proved she was not the one capable of taking care of him. Asher's mother became angry over everything he did she would hit him, lock him in a closet for hours, starve him. needless to say Asher's life began going downhill really fast. By the age of 6 his mother even began giving him durgs to keep him calm. This however became his saving grace... eventually by 7 Asher was just as addicted and dependant on drugs as his mother which lead to him getting high before school.

Several teachers noticed his odd behavior and began questioning him eventually finding scars on his arms from the first few time his mother forcibly shot him up. This quickly lead to a full scale investigation and medical examination where they found many bruises and scars riddling his body broken bones that had never quite healed properly. Asher was imediatly removed from his mothers home and her parental rights were stripped as she awaited trial for many charges Asher never found out what happened to her but he doesn't really care either.

The Santa Monica Home

After Asher was removed from his mother he was placed in the Santa Monica Home for Boys and Girls. Here he recovered from his life before and began to learn how to cope and accept what his life was before and understand that it has no barring on what his life can be from here on. He was doing great bounced back surprisingly fast. He was placed with a couple of families but they never seemed to work out for Asher. He doesn't talk much about what happened with the families or why they didn't keep him. He acts as if he doesn't care like he doesn't need anyone but deep down he knows all to well why they didn't want to keep him and at least in his mind its all his fault.

Asher hasn't been placed with a family now since he was 9 he refuses to give it a thought and whats nothing to do with it so instead he stays at The Santa Monica Home and quite likes it that way.

Appearance: It’s easy to appear foreboding when you’re Aaron. A flat affect easily read as resting bitch face and dark brown hair buzzed off paired with a tall height and big frame does more to help than hinder. He’s decently tanned during the summertime. Like his brother, he has an aquiline nose, thicker than his brother’s and a bit less pronounced. His eyes are a bit on the smaller side and a deep brown. The only thing that throws off his look is the sheer amount of yellow in his closet. He fits his baggy sweaters and jeans much better than Casper fits his wardrobe, even going so far as to add his own personal if sloppy detail work to many of his pieces. He’s almost always in a sweater, even at the height of the summer.

Appearance: Casper is a short, skinny, deathly pale boy with ear-length curly ash blonde hair. His hazel/light brown eyes are ridiculously large and always watching something through his wire-framed glasses. He has an aquiline nose that doesn’t currently fit quite right on his face. His lips are almost always partially open showing a gap between his two front teeth. While his clothes are fairly standard for his age, he never looks quite right in them.

Dislikes: Anything related to his physical appearance, loud noises, disappointing others

Bio: Casper and Aaron were raised in an average house in a nice suburb of Los Angeles. Their father was a well-established pharmacist by the time the twins were born with a serious amount of cash saved up just for them. The first couple of years were fine, though tense between their parents. Their parents marriage hand been deteriorating before they were even born, torn to shreds by their father's abuse and utter disregard for his wife's wants. She was as fit to be a mother as their father was to be a father by the time the twins were actually born. At four, their father began sexually abusing them.

Aaron became constantly angry and defiant, picking fights at school and at home and testing every boundary he could. It drove his mother nuts, though their father for the most part allowed, only coming in occasionally with veiled language designed to tear both children down.

Casper definitely had the worse end of the deal largely due to ADHD and autism that went undiagnosed until he came into the care of CPS. He and Aaron were quickly labeled problem children by their kindergarten teacher, a woman who most definitely should not have been teaching, and that just made things worse for Casper at home. His mother took to tutoring him which usually ended in verbal or physical abuse or Casper having to comfort a grown woman while she cried.

They both ended up with extremely warped self images by the time they were in middle school. Terrified of the idea of being separated, something purposefully encouraged by their parents, they didn't tell anyone, which was easy when everyone was willing to brush them off as just not being raised right.

It worked a whole lot less when they got a teacher new in town and not already sold on these kids based on the tales they'd heard. When you didn't already think you had the answers, the signs were painfully obvious. As a mandated reporter, they did just that. Nothing might have come from it but a simple medical exam showed that yeah, they were being sexually abused. Aaron refused to say anything when confronted with it, but Casper broke down and told. They're both pretty upset about it.

So now their dad's going to jail and their mother, while not at risk of being labeled an accessory, is being mandated to attend some classes and get some therapy based on what Casper's said and what evidence lines up with, though whether they'll actually end up in their home largely depends on if she a) follows through and b) decides she really does want to keep them.

Jury's out on both of those.

NOTE: Anything heard about these two is definitely from the adults at the home. They are barely speaking at this point and definitely not about their home-life.

Appearance: Felix is a short and slender kid, only rising to a height of 4" 5 tall; while still healthy it puts him notably shorter than most other kids his age. He has a head of scruffy chestnut-brown hair and a pair of bright green eyes. His attire is always pretty thrown together from whatever shirt and jacket he finds on top of the pile that day. With his near-obsession with skating it isn't uncommon to see him accessorised with pads and/or a helmet.

Bio: Felix's life prior to recently arriving at Santa Monica was pretty average and uneventful by most standards. His father was strict, a police officer; his mother stayed at home taking care of the house and Felix's younger sister. Felix admittedly wasn't a perfect kid: between bouts of ADHD induced restlessness and inattention, bad grades in most of his subjects (baring Science and P.E.), and a hot temper in response to the teasing and bullying at school (especially in regards to his height), all getting him in frequent trouble with both his teachers and father.

Around a month ago however things suddenly took a change for the worse - During a family day out one weekend, the Gray family found themselves involved in an head on collision with a large semitruck run astray upon the highway, the family car spun across the road and slammed into railings. The family was rushed to the hospital, Felix and his sister having sustained moderate injuries but nothing life threatening (in Felix's case, a few broken ribs and a broken arm) - The same couldn't be said for their parents both of whom Felix watched pass away in the ICU over the next two days.

CPS came to collect both kids to try and place them in the custody of family - His highly religious grandparent's quickly took custody of his sister Sophie but refused when it came to Felix. The grandparents scared off by the 'troublesome' testimony of his teachers, the constant complaints his father had given them over the years with Felix not meeting up to his expectations, and by 'troublesome behaviour' he had shown towards other boys his age. (again previously gossiped in disappointment by his Father)
Despite impassioned plea's they wouldn't take him in, and CPS has thus far been able to find a suitable home. With his imminent discharge from hospital, and while CPS searches for alternate options they've arranged for Felix to be sent to Santa Monica's home while they search for distant family or friends who might be able and willing to take him in.

Nathan is normally a very happy and optimistic person always seeing the best in situations and striving to help others do the same. Even though he is usually the quietest person in the room it is hard to ignore his presence as his energy basically radiates from him which makes him the perfect candidate to cheer someone up. Like everyone says its impossible to be upset with Nathan around.

Though nobody is without their... less than ideal qualities and Nathan is no exception. Nathan scares easy... very easy and sees risk in many very normal situations, and when Nathen is scared all of that positive energy goes away essentially shutting Nathan down some of the key sings of this are completley disonnecting from the world around him staring at his Ipad or simply the floor with an unmoving gaze, In times when he feels safe enough to do so you will find him sat on the ground his Ipad between his chest and knees hugging his legs tight to his body and eyes slammed shut. Luckily though it is not hard to bring Nathan out of this state and almost anyone who takes the tie can succeed at doing so.

The lap of Luxury

Nathaniel William Sharpe was born to Sophia and Alex Sharpe. The Sharpe family was a wealthy family having amassed a fortune in both the fashion and real estate industries. When Nathan was coming up on six months old his parents noticed that he had no reaction to the sounds around him, this of course led to them demanding every test possible to find out what was wrong with their "little Prince" his father probably shouting something to the accord of "spare no expense" during it all. This of course led to the realization that the only problem was that Nathan was deaf. His parents both relived and frustrated by this diagnosis continued with their lives.

Over the next six years as Nathan slowly grew into a young man his days were filled with private tutors, piano lessons, Fancy dinners for one of his parents businesses' and so on. Though its not to say this meant his life was bad in any way he got virtually anything he wanted had nothing but the best brand name clothes and never had to lift a finger for any of it. Most kids would probably allow all of this to go to their head but not Nathan he understood just how privileged he was and did what little he could to help those that weren't. Like giving other kids his toys when they had nothing to play with or begging his mother to give money to the homeless man on the street. But alas things for Nathan were not destined to stay this perfect.

Shortly before Nathans Seventh birthday his father died in a fire at a corperate office builing he was planning to purchase. It was a tragic loss for both Nathan and his mother. They took Solace in the fact that it appeared he died helping others according to some of the survivors of the fire but this wouldn't bring him back... Nathan and his mother tried to adjust tried to get back to normal life but struggled to see anything about their new lives as normal finding it impossible to move on from their loss.

It was on the anniversary of his fathers death that Nathans mother decided that the two of them needed a change packing them both up and moving them to her home in California and officially making Nathan a citizen of two countries. life continued to drag on for the next few years Nathan having settled in long ago and found a way to move forward with his life, his mother however was not she continued just barley getting through the days only making it for Nathans sake. But eventually not even her need to be their for he son was enough to keep her going.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning and Nathan sat at the table eating a bowl of cereal in his underwear having just woke up, when it occurred to him he hadn't seen hide nor hair of his mother. So he began exploring the house to find her eventually realizing she was still in bed. He quietly walked over and gently shook her trying to wake her to no avail. He tried again and again shaking harder and harder tears began running down his face as the worry and fear took over. It took every once of energy he had not to just shut down but he knew his moms life depended on him as he saw her chest rise and fall ever so slightly. He pulled himself from the floor running to find his phone but it was dead. He panicked for a moment then ran outside not caring or noticing that he was wearing next to nothing. Frantically trying to flag someone down and get them to stop eventually someone did emergency services were called and his mother was rushed to the hospital after what felt like days Nathan received the good news that his mother was alive. turns out she had attempted to OD on some pills but was more than thankful it hadn't worked it was a wake up call that she needed help. So Nathan's mother went to receive the mental help she needed leaving him in foster care until she returned, and that is how six months ago Nathan ended up in the Santa Monica Home

Appearance: Ruka is a tan 15 year old boy with blond hair and a beauty mark near the bottom left side of his mouth. Due to his creative and artist like nature, he has poorly drawn tattoos on his arms, where he practices his "art". He usually wears a shirt and jacket, with his signature wear being a white shirt and black jacket falling off of his shoulders. He sometimes likes to put on a bunny headband and sunglasses to hide his eye bags.

Likes: Bunnies, cake, drawing, and classical music.
Dislikes: Quiet noises (as he hates the fact that he has a hard time hearing them), Sour and hard candy, and flowers.

Personailty: Ruka is a typically exotic, almost crazy type of boy. He has always aspired to be a tattoo artist, and shows it. He can seem a bit weird, asking personal questions, and sometimes, out of nowhere, be nice and comfort others. Overall, he's unpredictable in everything he does.

Bio: Ruka's whole life had been dictated by his mother, who hated his father due to him always going out and leaving her to take care of finances and such. Even with all the arguing and fighting, Ruka's father always made sure to interact and play with his son through it all.. as the man would play classical music as a way for the boy to not hear the hurtful words that the two adults would spat at each other.

Ruka grew to like his father more than his mother as the boy would draw on himself to imitate the tattoos on his father's arms. His mother could obviously see this (Ruka liking his father more) and drove the two apart, kicking the father out of the house, cutting ties with him, and getting rid of anything remotely related to him. Ruka did not like this, and made sure to show that he didn't.

Out of hate and dislike, Ruka ran away from home all the way to his father's. He expected the man to welcome his own son in with open arms.. but that was not the case. He was horrified to see that his father had started a whole new life and family without him, and didn't hesitate to turn his son away. Ruka was hurt, and went back to his mother's expecting her to take him back.

Unfortunately, due to Ruka being the only thing his mother had to live on.. she had killed herself. Ruka was even more hurt, and overcome with emotion, he ran into his room and played his classical music, turning it up as high as he possibly could. After what seemed to be 4 days, the neighbors next door filed a noise complaint, complaining about the loud music that came from the house next to them. The police had knocked on the door. After about 10 minutes passed, they unlawfully entered the house.. finding the body of Hana Ishihara (Ruka's mother) on the ground and Ruka in his room, curled up in the fetal position, with the classical music turned to max.

After the whole situation, Ruka's father had turned out to be a drug addict, and unable to take Ruka in, as he had been kicked out of his house with his other woman and kids. With Ruka's mother dead, and his father unstable.. Ruka was sent to the Saint Monica Home for Boys and Girls.​

Nick's family orginally came over to the United States from Russia, they moved to Ocean Park California. Nick though was born in the United States, so thats why his parents decuded to give him an American first name instead of Russian one. His parents had left Russia because they were not happy with the politcial situaion in thier home country and thought that it would be better for their soon to be born son to live in the United States. Nick's father Alexey was a smart man, he worked in finances back in Russia and he was able to do that again in the United States, because of that their family was pretty well off since his father made good money. His mothers name was Anastasia, back in Russia she also worked in the financial industry, but when she moved to the United States she decided that she wanted to teach instead. So she went back to college a few years after Nick was born and eventually became a Russian language teacher in a high school. Nick grew up in a good household with parents who made pretty good money. Something Nick started to notice about himself as he grew up waa the fact that he wasn't exactly like all of his friends who were interested in girls. As Nick move through middle school especially through 7th and 8th grade as his friends started to talk about girls they liked Nick didn't really feel the same. For some reason he started to notice boys more than girls. He thought to himself that this must be a phase but he wasn't exactly sure. He would never tell his parents about this because back in Russia being gay was very looked down upon. Nick had a great rleationship with both of his parents. Nick's father Alexey shared his love of sports with Nick, Nick played quite a few different sports growing up, but he eventually fell in love with the game of soccer. He also became very good at soccer, so good that Nick had some opportunity out of middle school to move away from home and play soccer at a prep boarding school. Nick hadn't decided on if he was going to go to his local high school in Ocean Park California or move away to go the prep school when tragedy struck his family. One day when his parents were coming to pick him up from a friends house, there car was struck by a drunk driver instantly killing both of his parents. Nick could not get a hold of any family he has left because they are all in Russia. Nick was 13 when this happened and now he is 14 about to start high school, he moved around from a few different foster homes before the system decided to put him in the Santa Monica home. ​

Bio: Zane was one of two siblings, he was the eldest, with his sister being born the next year. He was a very optimistic and kind child, which still carries over in his teens, he was always taking charge, and trying to be a good leader which he still does, as well as him not being able to take a hint, there’s moments where can be a bit insensitive, or not pick up on flirting, or sadness. For this be was given one of three nicknames he has had in his life time, he was named “Zane the clueless.” He also was given the name “Silver, his parents when he had entered middle school and it sort of stuck. Everything in his life was good, he averaged good grades, took care of his sister, was good and didn’t break any laws, until one night his parents were murdered, they were poisoned and passed away in their sleep. Leaving Zane having to care for himself and his sister and for the two of them to go to foster homes, with there 2nd one being Santa Monica. Zane will do whatever it takes to protect his sister because she’s all he has left

When her parents died she was sent into foster care with her brother, and while he could never pick up on the signs that she wanted him to cool off with him being protective of her, she still loves him and is determined to go to college and get a good job and succeed for him

Miyako’s story begins with her parents, when they moved here from Japan when Miyako was 10. Her parents had always pressured her to be perfect, get the highest marks, join a lot of extracurriculars, even down to the point of maintaining a certain weight. It started off as the typical asian parent stereotype, but slowly it became controlling. They even made her learn English in a month of coming to America, so her English is pretty good, but you can still hear her accent. She even knows multiple languages because of them, like Russian and she even knows sign language.

It came to the point where her father was choosing everything she wore, commenting on her weight and figure. He touched her in multiple ways, but Miyako was always taught to not disobey her elders and that all her elders wanted what was best for her. And he’d do this repeatedly, to the point where Miyako wouldn’t even try to fight it.

Her parents soon left for Japan, on a supposed business trip when Miyako was 12. They were expected to come back after 2 days so that’s why they deemed it appropriate to like Miyako behind. And she was fine on her own, she knew had to cook and clean the house so it was alright. But the 2 days became 1 week then that became 2 weeks. It got to the point where she had to ask her neighbours for food to cook and a lot more things.

After a while the neighbours got concerned for the girl and decided to enter her into a foster home since they knew after a while that her parents were never coming back. Miyako stayed with her neighbours for a few days while they found a good foster home for her. And so they found Santa Monica Home for Boys and Girls, so they sent her there. She’s been there for about a week, but hasn’t really left her room much since the foster home is full of guys.

Bio: Jess doesn't really know much about her parents besides the fact that they didn't want her. They were young and reckless when they found out they were pregnant and immediately gave her up to the foster care system, which she's been bouncing around homes in ever since. For this reason, she's grown up to not trust adults, though she gets along perfectly with most other kids. She is sometimes a bit too self-deprecating in her sense of humor, which reflects her feelings of abandonment by her parents and her constant questions about why she wasn't good enough for them.

The clothes she wears are pretty much things that are easy to wear, usually dresses or one piece jumpsuits/rompers. She also wears a ring around her pointer finger given to her from her grandparents.

Miyako’s story begins with her parents, when they moved here from Japan when Miyako was 10. Her parents had always pressured her to be perfect, get the highest marks, join a lot of extracurriculars, even down to the point of maintaining a certain weight. They even made her learn English in a month of coming to America, so her English is pretty good, but you can still hear her accent. She even knows multiple languages because of them, like Russian and she even knows sign language.

Nope the rp is not dead at all you are free to Join your character looks good to me only thing how long has your character been at Santa Monica minimum right now is a couple of days. And I would say maximum is like 6 years cause it's kinda one of my characters things that he has been here the longest out of any kid that has come through the home.
