This is the place where your character sheets go - please make them easily readable on site. Discussions and questions of any sort go into the OOC for convenience - that way, I won't have to scroll through pages of text to find a particular sheet.

I'll edit in the details for character creation later today, for now everyone should be familiar with them from the interest check.

For the character creation:
Point-buy with 20 points
no stat on 7 or lower without approval
max hp at level 1
average starting money
2 traits or 3 and a drawback
all classes and races of the core rulebook are allowed; anything else is likely fine, but requires my approval
no home-brew or third-party content
no evil alignment
medium exp track

Allowed thus far: Summoner, Aasimar, Kobold, Minotaur Gunslinger, Fey Thoughts for half-elves, giant weasel as kobold mount.

Anything missing? Let me know, and I'll add it.

    Feats

You know the secrets of repairing and restoring firearms.

Benefit: If you have access to a gunsmith’s kit, you can create and restore firearms, craft bullets, and mix black powder for all types of firearms. You do not need to make a Craft check to create firearms and ammunition or to restore firearms.

Crafting Firearms: You can craft any early firearm for a cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the firearm. At your GM’s discretion, you can craft advanced firearms for a cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the firearm. Crafting a firearm in this way takes 1 day of work for every 1,000 gp of the firearm’s price (minimum 1 day).

Crafting Ammunition: You can craft bullets, pellets, and black powder for a cost in raw materials equal to 10% of the price. If you have at least 1 rank in Craft (alchemy), you can craft alchemical cartridges for a cost in raw materials equal to half the price of the cartridge. At your GM’s discretion, you can craft metal cartridges for a cost in raw materials equal to half the cost of the cartridge. Crafting bullets, black powder, or cartridges takes 1 day of work for every 1,000 gp of ammunition (minimum 1 day).

Restoring a Broken Firearm: Each day, with an hour’s worth of work, you can use this feat to repair a single firearm with the broken condition. You can take time during a rest period to restore a broken firearm with this feat.

Special: If you are a gunslinger, this feat grants the following additional benefit. You can use this feat to repair and restore your initial, battered weapon. It costs 300 gp and 1 day of work to upgrade it to a masterwork firearm of its type.

Rapid Reload (Musket) : The time required for you to reload your chosen type of weapon is reduced to a free action (for a hand or light crossbow), a move action (for heavy crossbow or one-handed firearm), or a standard action (two-handed firearm). Reloading a crossbow or firearm still provokes attacks of opportunity.

    Name: Sylben son of Eniripsa
    Alias: Benji Syllabi
    Gender: Male
    Age: Thirty-Six

    Race: Half-Elf
Appearance: Sylben wears his half-elf nature with pride these days. His sharp, angular face is taut over sharp, elven cheekbones. His jawline is well-defined under his sun-kissed skin and his chin has a small clef in the middle. His pointed nose is straight and looms over full rose color lips. He has sharp, pointed ears though not as prominent as his full elf relatives. His wide-set eyes are the color of moss with the exception of the limbal ring being a rich mahogany color. They are almond-shaped and surrounded by thick, dark lashes. His hair is a long waterfall of ebony black hair. It goes past his shoulder blades in a thick, straight mane he normally keeps in a low ponytail at the nape of his neck. He tries to stay clean-shaven but is rarely seen without stubble and longer sideburns. His shoulders and chest are broad and taper into more narrow hips. He is on the leaner side and pretty tall, standing at about 6'1". The top of his left ear is pierced with a hoop earring that sparkles- but is fake. He also has a large burn scar on his back, thighs, and the back of his neck.

Fears/Phobias: Pyrophobia- the fear of fire. It isn't such a horrible phobia that he cannot sit near a campfire but he does keep his distance. He doesn't cast fire spells and is generally terrified of the potential pain flames often bring with it.
Minor fear of tight places- this is less of a phobia and more of a place of anxiety. He doesn't like to be trapped.
Being alone- Slyben is not a solitary person and hates to be alone. He craves companionship, affection, admiration, and affirmation. Being alone truly dampens his mood.
Call to Action: There are a few things that would cause him to rush into action without thinking. The public physical abuse, anyone crying openly, and stealing from his friends would provoke him to rush to aid or help without much thought. In the opposite way, his elven family, fire and/or red dragons, or anything that resembles those things would send him reeling, fleeing, or being completely frozen in place.
Likes: Sweets, hugs, night time, naps, laughter,

    Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
    Sexuality: Pansexual
    Deity: Calistria

    Level: 1
    Speed: 30ft
    Class: Trickery Luck Cleric
    Hit Points: 10

Backstory: His birth was unceremonious, to say the least. His mother was a proud high elf a part of high society and the rich and famous. His father was an acrobat and performer. It didn't take long for his charming ways seduced the entranced high elf, who preferred to keep her human lover a secret. No one would want to admit to keeping a lowly performer in such an intimate way. As it so happened, when things like this occur normally- the product varies. In this case, his mother Eniripisa caught a bad case of the pregnancy, much to her dismay. It was a hard time for her- she often lied about the father's true identity. Benjamin, Sylben's father, continued to perform for high courts and kingdom to make his way in the world. He knew his Ripisa would never keep a half-elf child with her status as it was. He had to beg her to keep it and promise to keep her identity a secret from the boy and anyone who asked. During those long months away from his unborn child, he saved up as much money as he could to find a quaint living somewhere near the elves, in case Eniripisa changed her mind. After the birth of their son, the mother eagerly handed off the baby to Benjamin and spread the rumor of the untimely death of her infant. All the while, the two males settled into their small, one-bedroom cottage near the city his mother resided in, unbeknownst to the little half-elf.

Sylben was a curious boy with a knack for pranks and performing. The small village he grew up in had many other half-elves as well as humans and elves living there. He was able to learn a lot about his elven culture despite his mother's very noticeable absence. They didn't make much money to be sure. His father still performed on occasion but mainly got a wage tending a tavern near their home. Because of that, his son was often there learning about fun bar tricks, card games, and the fun of a good, old fashion tavern brawl. It went on like that for seven lively years. It took him only seven years to begin questioning his father about his mommy. Benjamin didn't lie and though he promised to keep Eniripisa's secret, he was unable to put any falsities in the young boy's head. He avoided the questions for a while but it wasn't long before the truth came spilling out. Most of the elves in the town he was in were wood elves- but he was well aware of what high elves and their vast wealth meant. His mother was rich and powerful in some circles... and she didn't want him. It was the first introduction of pain and grief he wasn't able to explain as such a young boy. And as children do, he talked about his lineage when provoked about the topic.

The letter came no later than a fortnight after it came to light that he was possibly Eniripisa's dead child. Though it was only speculation, the talk wasn't cheap. The seed of doubt was planted and what grew was not only horrifying but scarring for life. The letter in an elegant script read like a mother discovering a child long gone. The elvish language painted a picture of lost love and heartache. She eagerly wanted to meet her son at long last. Benjamin knew better. They had to leave. Ripisa was a beautiful, domineering woman who was cold and crass. He understood the double meaning to the letter- he screwed up and they were in trouble. They were going to move east, away from the life they made in that little village. Near his birthday with their bags all packed, a gang of mercenaries stealthily made their way to the small cottage near the village's only tavern. In a matter of moments, the house exploded with flames in an almost unnatural sort of way. It wasn't long before that single bedroom the pair shared erupted on all sides. What stuck out in Sylben's mind the most were how hot the room was- the fire taking away all the moisture from the air. And the pain. Even with his father holding him close, the flames licked his back like an evil temptress and it was a feeling he would surely never forget. He gave up the fight to live to those roaring flames and the raspy screams of his father but it wasn't his time. Cooling touch and a feminine voice rang out in his mind. "Not yet, live."

He woke up in the rubble and ashes of his childhood home. That fire killed his father and it may as well killed him too. Sylben kept the idea his father had before he passed on- to head east and away from those murders. Hungry, tired, and grief-struck, he didn't make it far before collapsing. His mind was filled with that woman's soothing voice who told him that he would live and he would find the revenge he so desperately deserved. A tielfing with ashen skin and horns trimmed low to her head approached him, saved him, and in the end- he would say Nisha was the closest thing he would ever have to a mother. She was in a troupe of sorts full of similar performers and magicians his father once toured with. He would stay with this crew until he left willingly as an adult. They taught him to laugh again, to make money from his skills, and most importantly- they taught him to love and trust again. Nisha was his best friend and even though their hard, hard struggles- they always had each other.

As he grew, Sylben started to speak to that woman's voice despite it hardly ever speaking back. He learned that with her divine intervention that day, she had blessed him with a set of skills that would surely come in handy. Healing, hiding, the works. Calistria was her name and she was a goddess. Nisha was a follower herself and taught him many things about his new faith and powers. She also taught him how to use a whip in comedic fashion and a weapon, in a pinch. With his newfound strength from Nisha, the troupe, and Calistria, herself, he simply needed to find the direction his life needed to take. He thought for a long time that he would stay with everyone and travel. He had his whip skills and his singing, which he often did for money. Fate had another idea.

It was never ascertained the cause and culprits who started the fire that slain his father. He wasn't sure if his mother had a hand in it but he always suspected. Things came to light after a chance encounter led to a bloody excursion between the troupe and an older mercenary. He claimed he was there to finish the job he started years before. His friends ensured his safety and dispatched the man in haste but not before he uttered that name he feared for all these years. Eniripisa. It was as if Calistria brought this man to him to give him the direction he so desperately needed in his life. His mother tried to kill him and it was possible she knew he was still alive. With this new flame lit, not literally, he bid his friends farewell- for now. He took on his alias name- Benji after his father- and went to search for some leads that may lead to his murderous bitch of a mother. His powers and the warmth from them never felt stronger when he made the decision he would seek out his mother after all these years. This is where he was meant to be.

In those years away from his friends, he learned many things. Benji loved to gamble and play pranks as he often did but also, he started learning about what made people the way they were. He learned stories of pain and grief- he discovered politics were actually a thing people cared about. Most importantly, he learned that with wealth came power and protection. Getting to his mother would not be easy. Praying to Calistria gave him a direction- though strange. The bastion failure was quite a way away but something told him to head that way. To get involved in the political climate and truly ingrain himself with those people. If he did this- surely he would find a way to meet Eniripisa once and for all. At least... he hoped so.
