Here is where I list the specialties a character can have and a short description of each.
Combat Skills
Unarmed- Fighting related to hand-to-hand combat. Includes wrestling, martial arts, or just general skill in brawling.
One Handed Weapons- Melee weapons that are typically used with one hand go here. Includes daggers, shortswords, maces, rapiers, etc.
Two Handed Weapons- Large weapons that require both hands go here. Greatswords, polearms, greataxes, etc.
Ranged- The catch all for projectile weapons. Slings, bow, crossbows, javelins, etc.
Magic Skills
Divine Magic- Your magic abilities flow from otherworldly sources in the heavens. The gods typically bless those granted this power forms of healing and protection, while its offensive power is most potent against demons and undead.
Nature Magic- You channel your magic from Mother Nature itself. Controlling the elements, talking to plants/animals, and shapeshifting into animals are all common abilities to those who are one with nature.
Arcane Magic- Whether from years or intense study or some latent power in your blood, you push and pull magical forces without external help. Turning raw magic energy into a blasting force, item transmutation, and teleportation are typical effects that most arcane casters can do.
Miscellaneous Skills
Craft- Your characters can create something. Choose one area of expertise (Blacksmith, Alchemist, Bowyer, Locksmith, etc.) that your character specializes in. If you have a magic skill and a craft skill you can make magic items related to your craft. You can take this skill more than once and choose a different craft each time.
Stealth- Hiding, moving quietly, and lockpicking are all traits associated with those trained in stealthy maneuvers. Not everyone with this skill is necessarily a thief.
