Description: Once the genjutsu is cast through a series of handsigns, the opponent will hear a sound like fabric ripping all around them. Shortly thereafter, curtains will seem to rise from the ground, and fly towards the opponent, enveloping them in cloth, snagging them in place. The power of the jutsu is dependent on the perception of the enemy towards it. Even though they are imaginary, because how they are perceived by an enemy, a curtain can be destroyed, however, it is immediately replaced by another curtain immediately behind it.


Weakness: The genjutsu is a delay type jutsu, taking a little while to occur afterwards. If the genjutsu, or caster, is dealt with before its effects activate, it is dispersed before working. The opponents perception of the jutsu also effects its strength. Should an opponent try to cut through the jutsu, it will work, though they will feel nothing, giving it a way.


How Did They Learn/Improve?:  Hatred of paperlady's insult led to Ayumu desperately trying to increase his genjutsu to show her what real genjutsu looks like. It's not stored in a tag, and it is ALWAYS an art form. Ayumu practiced for months, first trying to figure out how to create genjutsu, then trying it out on hapless bystanders (mostly Ryu).

Description: A salve that acts a healing catalyst when chakra is applied to it. The salve increases the bodies natural healing ability in the applied area. It can close wounds and heal bruises and sore muscles.The chakra must be applied specifically to work, focusing on the damaged areas.


Weakness: It can't heal internal damage obviously, and has limits on the rest. Works where applied. Not everyone can use the salve, they have to be trained how.


How Did They Learn/Improve?: Mochizuki has been working heavily with Ayame as of late seeing as she can't train at the moment while she heals.

Description: First tapping into the Daemon's chakra, the user is granted a shroud of wispy chakra matching the color of their Ryugan. Their hair grows more wild and their nails lengthen/harden into claws. A faint increase to speed and strength has been observed as well.


The first activation of this allows the user to awaken their Ryugan and leaves them with lengthened, fang-like incisors.


Weakness: This is not the full fledged chakra cloak, it does not burn on contact, nor does it increase the user's defense or range. The only real advantage to this is it allows for the awakening of the Ryugan.


Technique Name: Ryugan, Awakening


Jutsu Type: Doutjutsu, kekkei genkai


Chakra Nature: N/A


Description: When a member of the Mifune is born, a Daemon is sealed inside of them causing this doujutsu to manifest. The color of both the iris and sclara as well as shape of the pupil changes to match the Daemon's. The pupil remains fairly standard across the the family, a narrow, slit pupil much like a cat's in the light. On average, the sclarae remain white for clan members. Only those that have a close bond to their daemon or have lost control to him have black sclarae.


Through most of their childhood, this change can only be seen in one eye and is purely cosmetic. It isn't until their they're deemed worthy by the creature that they truly begin to blend their chakra together. As their chakra melds together, both eyes take on the Daemon's and begin to turn into a true doujutsu. What makes a clan member worthy varies from Daemon to Daemon. Though the change marks them as an adult within the clan.


It offers them clear vision even in the darkest nights, making it easier to discern an opponent's movements and defend or counter. Their heightened perception allows them to pick up on even slight cues from an opponent. Some shinobi mistakenly believe a Mifune's eyes can see the future. While not true, it isn't exactly something they're about to deny either. Being able to read these subtle cues and take advantage of them in the heat of battle takes considerable training.


With training and focus, seeing traces of chakra is possible.


Weakness: Heightened perception or not, the enhanced eyesight does no good if something is obscuring their vision. Be it a solid object such as a wall or a thick cloud of mist, these eyes aren't going to magically spot the enemy.


The awakened eyes give off a faint glow in the dark, making it easy for them to be detected if they're not careful. Using it to look for chakra requires a great deal of concentration, leaving the user susceptible to ambush when using this. Searching for these chakra traces is primarily used in getting a rough estimate on enemy number and power. It offers no advantage in combat due to the sheer concentration it requires.


Given the eyes' high sensitivity, quickly transitioning from a dark environment to a brightly lit one (i.e. a bright flash in a dark room) will leave the user blinded longer than a normal shinobi.


In this 'fresh' state, Yuuki doesn't have the insight just yet to see through ultra high speed movements.


The first few months after awakening, Yuuki's prone to headaches until he adjusts to the sharp increase in perception.


Technique Name: Flame Slice

How Did They Learn/Improve?:  Over a month of chakra control training with Kazou laid the foundation to learn flame slice with Tsubaki. Studying and training with both Tsubaki and Go allowed for Yuuki to finally tap into his daemon's chakra and awaken his Ryugan.

How did they learn/improve?:


Aokawa was relatively unscathed during their mission. What really took a hit was his pride. He blamed himself for almost failing that mission. Aside from his usual nature-manipulation training, he asked his teacher to teach him the Body Flicker Technique. The two of them would continually "play tag" every after training session. This would ultimately improve Aokawa's mastery over the technique, as well as improve his general endurance.


On his elder sister's off days, she'd train him in hand to hand combat. She personally taught him how to do the Soushuriken no Jutsu.

How Did They Learn/Improve?: He learned the technique by raiding a shirne, then his teacher helped him to understand how to do the technique. As for his ninjutsu improvement, he continued to train in honing this new technique, thus improving his ninjutsu.

Chakra Nature: none


Description: The least harmful option for combatting genjutsu is for the ninja to stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the genjutsu user's chakra; this is called Genjutsu Kai. With additional training, this can also be done by an unaffected ninja by applying a sudden surge of chakra into the affected person.


Weakness: One must realize they are under effects of genjutsu.

Technique Name: Earth release: mud wolves. 


Jutsu Type: ninjutsu


Chakra Nature: Earth


Description: A trap technique that is activated upon coming in contact with the opponent's chakra. The user uses a scroll to lay a trap where mud will shape into wolves that will attack the enemy. Despite being damaged, the wolves will simply reform, keeping the enemy occupied while the user makes a getaway. 


Weakness: The only drawback about this technique is that is time-consuming to set up and will allow the opponent to catch up.

Description: Using the Body Replacement Technique to feign being attacked, the user takes advantage of their opponent's momentary shock, and charges forward with a lateral sword slash.
