SAIGO-NO-HEATS
A drifter, returned
Looks really good. You can introduce him at the base whenever you're ready.GasMaskie said:
Name: Marion 'Mari' Vayron
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Physical Appearance:
View attachment 316376
Personality: Mari is a mild-mannered man who shouldn't be on the battlefield, let alone piloting a mech. He's someone who is easily discouraged and lacks the self-confidence to move forward in life. If anything, he's someone who rejects the call to action in favor of a 'normal' life. Despite his reluctance to piloting, he secretly enjoys flying.
Affiliation: Neutral, Enemy of the League
History: Hailing from the Lunar Colony, Mari was the son of a neurologist affiliated with the League. His mother kept him from learning about his father or his occupation for undisclosed reasons. Following the devastation to the colonies, Mari and his older brother became refugees on Earth. While his older brother became an ace pilot for the World League, Mari became a low-leveled data analyst. Rather than envy, Mari instead felt inferior and guilty that he was riding on his brother's coattails. He lived a rather comfortable life in a Blue Zone and pushed the rough life he once had in the Yellow Zones and the suffering of his fellow man to the back of his mind.
During a Rebel attack on a League Base, Mari attempted to stop the hijacking of an experimental unit. Things panned out differently, however, and Mari ended up somehow being mistaken for a sleeper agent planted by the Rebellion. Labelled as an enemy of the League and someone to be shot on sight, he has since become a fugitive with no other choice but to pilot the Baselard.

Mecha Name: YSX-24 Baselard
Mecha History: The Baselard is a World League Prototype designed as a high-spec mech capable of outmaneuvering enemies with its mobility and speed. The designs for this mech were recovered from the Lunar Colony just a few years prior. In addition, the Baselard was also used as a testbed for the experimental Laplace System.
Approximate Height: 17m
Weapons:
Beam Rifles:
A set of two rifles that use concentrated streams of particles to degrade and pierce through armor. When both are mounted on the shield, their output dramatically increases at the cost of overheating both weapons.
Shield:
A sturdy implement that also serves as a mounting point for the Baselard's Beam Rifles. It also serves as a recharge unit for the Baselard's armaments when mounted on the unit's back and connected to its generator.
Powers:
Laplace System:
An experimental computational system that utilizes a neural connection to the pilot. Much like the concept of Laplace's Demon, this system allows the Baselard to analyze the surrounding area and calculate the trajectories of projectiles and other units. When activated, the system essentially allows the Baselard to become both extremely accurate and nearly impossible to hit. However, the immense influx of information is enough to mentally exhaust its pilot - thus relegating it to a last ditch resort.
