[SIZE=15.333333333333332px]Backstory: Chaul Westfall wasn't just some ordinary person, in fact he hasn't really been a person for almost seventy five years. In his earlier years as a guard he had swiftly rose in the rank becoming a captain and a good friend to the general. He was an honorable man and a loyal one at that not afraid to stand up for what he thought was right. In his many years being a guard he had fought in many skirmishes and dealt with criminals but had never been in a war.[/SIZE]
On his twentieth anniversary of being a captain he and his men were called out on a campaign where an rival kingdom had threatened war against his King. Marching out they made quick work of the "welcoming parties" and any other attacks thrown at them, all until one dark night where everything had changed....
Encamping on a cliff side Chaul had stood watch making sure that they weren't attacked in the dead of night, yet even his watchful eye couldn't save them. Storming out of the trees the rival King had sent a massive host of cavalry to kill them all. Shouting an alarm he and the few watchmen grabbed there bows and started to shoot at the incoming hoard yet to no prevail. Dropping the bows they pulled out spears, swords, and axes and prepared for the worst yet it never came for the army had rallied behind them. Bellowing the two clashed men were knocked from horses and bodies littered the ground. At the first light the battle was over and the massive army was massacred no one was left alive.
At the news of this the rival King had bowed to Chauls and sworn to serve him. From that day forward he had become The Royal Guard Captain always watching his King and pertecting him. As time went on Chaul had aged significantly meeting a young girl in his early thirties they had built a house on a cliff side overlooking the sea. Yet to Chaul something always seemed off about it...
On the full moon Chaul was sitting in his rocking chair rocking back and forth all until the moons light hit him. Looking at his hands he saw that there were not old and wrinkly but young and firm. Realizing with dread what had happened he stumbled to the edge of the cliff and looked down to see countless skeletons that was why he remembered the place he had lived and died there, because right at the very top was a skeleton dressed in the red and black colors of his kingdom a sword at his side and hoof prints on his skull.
What he remembered all those years where only just memories that could of happend if he hadn't died that night he was attacked, his King had won the battle but at a great cost hundreds of soldiers including one of the best captains in his entire army Chaul Westfall..

[SIZE=15.333333333333332px]I used the song "No sound without Silence." The inspiration I got from this was that it had an overall creepy feeling as if everything had been going well but then disaster struck then happiness again. At the part where it says "In the light of the moon I saw ten thousand people may more.." I figured that in the full moons light he would finally figure out he had died all those years ago.[/SIZE]
