Chapter 3 Waterfall

Clara eyes twitched as Frisk had a flexing contest with a monster. After the event she scrathced her head in confusion. She was quite impressed that she won the battle with no violence, she observed this ever since the first battle. Clara tugged Frisk's clothing. "What was that? that was weird." Clara messaged @KirienIsamu
 
Frisk rolled their sleeve back down, "That is what you call stupidity dear, but sometimes you have to appease people to get them to leave."


Frisk noticed a sign in a gap of water, They quickly threw some of the seeds into the water to form a new bridge so they could read the sign." 


*Congrats! you failed the puzzle.


"You little sh-" Frisk quickly cut themselves off as to not say anything bad in front of Clara. "Okay wrong way...."

Clara tilted her head as soon as Frisk answered her. It was quite true that sometimes you have to do something stupid in order to make things better. Clara was listening to Frisk. She looked at her when Frisk quickly changed her phrase. @KirienIsamu
 
"Okay...moving on now" Frisk looked at what seemed to be a complex land form but the solution proved to be as simple as throwing the seeds in a strait line. Beyond the bridge was a room filled with Echo Flowers.


(Since some time as past the Conversation in the Echo flowers would be different. Feel free to come up with your own idea)

Ignoring the Echo Flowers at the moment Frisk drew their attention to a telescope. ". . . but why would you need a telescope underground?" Frisk looked into the telescope, they noticed that there was writing on the scope, "Hmm?" They moved the telescope in an area that was not pitch black. "Check wall?" They muttered under their breath.

As they passed through the echo flowers. Clara can hear various voices as she passes by. One of them was "How much more do we have to bear before going back up to the surface?" Which made Clara think that they are really desperate to go back up. A telescope was caught in Clara's line of sight. Frisk also saw this too. Clara tugged Frisk's clothing once more. @KirienIsamu
 
Clara nodded and took telescope's edge. Looking through the telescope. She has no idea what she was staring at.  
 
Frisk look up at the ceiling, the stones glittered and reflected light from the echo flowers. They could almost look like stars. "Are these stars to them?" It had been a while since they saw real stars but these came pretty close. Frisk's eyes flickered red a few times as they stared at the ceiling. ". . . . WAIT, Check Wall?" Frisk ran up to the wall up north, they put their hand up to the wall and it crumpled apart to show a door.

Proceeding threw the room was completely flooded aside from the bridge covering most of the room, Frisk looked over on a wall with writing on it.


* ( Ancient writing covers the walls. . . you can just barely make out the words.) 


* "The War of Humans and Monsters"


(Clara should recognize this as her teacher was talking about it at the begging of the story. Can't wait to see her reaction to the differences between how humans wrote this compared to how monsters did.)


* Why did the humans attack? Indeed, it seemed that they had nothing to fear,


*Humans are unbelievably strong.


*It would take the SOUL of nearly every monster. . .


*. . . just to equal the power of a single human SOUL.


*But humans have one weakness.


*Ironically, it is the strength of their SOUL.


*Its power allows it to persist outside the human body, even after death.


*If a monster defeats a human they can take its SOUL.


*A monster with a human SOUL. . .


*A horrible beast with unfathomable power.


Frisk turned their attention to the last board on the wall.


* (It's an illustration of a strange creature)


* (There's something very unsettling about this drawing.)


". . . They sure do know a lot about how absorbing a soul works. . has that happened before?

Chara sighed at the past memories from that question. "Yes. It has happened once." She simply said. She did not want to explain any further. She would tell them eventually, but not now.
 
From below, blue spears miraculously shot up, striking the wooden walkway. Undyne stood just a few feet below, with more spears at the ready! (Run!.mp3)
 
Clara read the writings and images upon the wall. Remembering the lessons that she was taught. A rush of cold wind stroke her face, leaving a disturbed feeling. She was interrupted by a spear that almost stabbed her in the front. It was only a few inches from her face. She quickly grabbed Frisk's and tugged it twice. 
 
"Huh" Frisk paused and noticed the floor glowing blue, "no.." as soon as spears started to rise from the ground Frisk immediately grabbed a hold of Clara's hand and ran across the bridge as fast as they possibly could. "That bitch" Frisk angrily said to themselves.


(oh all these events just make me really want to get to see how the hell Frisk could even befriend Undyne. If they even want to at this point.)

As Clara gets guided by Frisk's hand. She was starting to think that Undyne going a bit to far. Clara held tightly to her hammer and attempted to lift it. She failed to lift the hammer since it requires both hands to be lifted. So she decided to let it slide, like literally slide it across the ground. Clara waited for them to stop at a a safe place. Then she'll do what she has to do.
 
Clara rested her hammer over shoulder. Ready for striking that fish monster back in her place. Clara had no need to duck since she's short. although a part of hammer is exposed in the open.
 
Undyne marched towards the patch of alarmingly human-concealing grass, and threw a few spears at it. Nope, they're still immune to potshots, if they're even still in there. Undyne approached the patch, before grabbing at the first sign of movement...!


"Ahah, you're not going to tell my parents about this, are you?" Undyne... put the Monster Punk down, and stormed off in anger.

"Woah. Undyne just touched my face! You're totally lucky, Bros. If you were just a little bit to the left, you would've been toast."
 
"All this time and he still likes Undyne, huh?" Chara said to herself. She didn't think someone could admire someone for that long. "Yeah, he's right though. If you got caught by her, she would've killed you on spot...probably." She told the humans, a small smirk on her face.
 
". . . yeah toast..." Frisk just sighed and walked out of the grass after making sure Undyne had left the area, They turned their head to a table with a slice of cheese.
*This cheese has been here so long a magical crystal has grown around it.
*Its stuck to the table.
The Echo flower near by was only making mouse sounds.
Frisk turned their attention to the nearest save point.
*Knowing that the mouse may one day leave its hole and extract the cheese from the crystal. It fills you with determination.
*File Saved*
The path split to 3 separate areas, one lead to a dead end, the other lead to a bridge over the marsh, and the last was a cave doorway. Upon walking into the area a small tear drop shaped monster slowly walked up, its eyes looking mostly at the ceiling.
"Whats a star? can you see it? can you touch it? can you eat it? can you kill it?"
The small monster then looked frisk in the eyes
"Are you a star?" It then walked away continuing to look at the crystal covered ceiling.
". . . ." Frisks gaze turned to notice Sans standing next to another telescope.

"oh hey kid. you wanna use this 'scope? it's a bit busted and i tried to fix it. you can rent it for... say... 10g.
 
"Hmm?"
*Look into the telescope?

Frisk paid the 10 G and took a look in the telescope. Everything was a consistent shade of pink. ". . . .well I guess it was broken then. Frisk put the telescope back. ". . . . wait. . . that doesn't make any sense, even if it was broken it wouldn't just show one consistent color."
