Chapter 2: Of Protagonists and Plot Devices

Emmanuel stares at the masked woman standing at the front of the joint detective office and apartment house door through Erika’s eyes.

I have no idea, The teen shrugs in the shared space in their mind. The boy cringes at the woman when she smiles with her eyes behind her mask.

Whoever she is, be on your guard, he advises. Tell her we are currently busy with a client but ask her what her business is, and don’t be so rude, man. I thought we got over this about you not pissing off people when first meeting them. That’s my job, you ass.

Masakazu W. Fuma (Location: Rainy Traveller general store)(Currently: "Talking to Bizzy")

Masakazu’s distinguishable intolerance crept up through his whole physiology once his hit landed his mark. Damn, Bismarck was the finest illustration of pigheaded. Even with being struck with a heavy-impact blow that had him skid backwards, stumbling over his footing and collapsing onto the linoleum floor. He was still persistent on being victorious not for self-pride but for the safety of his loved ones and his fellow friends. Even with his unpleasant wound he managed to push through the shocking sensations of pain tingling through his nerves and he miraculously stood himself up once more onto his own two feet with droplets of blood pursuing down hi bicep and forearm, at this point, it was only a matter of time until he undergone fatigue and fell into an unconscious state, this wasn’t good. Someone as near-sighted as Masakazu could recognize that he was in bad-shape but he didn’t want him to succumb to blood-loss, not only Bernkastel was completely satisfied with her human ‘trophy.’ Something that surprised him the most was that cheeky grin of his once he got up, clutching the middle of his chest while standing his ground. Poor thing, must’ve lost his mind! Maybe he’s willing to embrace death now that he’s so close to it, that look in his eye was nearly identical to Masakazus. “Oh? I struck a nerve. i’m just doing what is asked of me, i’m kind of heart-broken that you labeled me as such, but don’t worry i’ll get over it!” He broke out in a short-lived laugh until he crossed his arms behind his back, surprised at Bismarck still continuing to put up an effort to defend that family of his.

“Eh?” Masakazu tilted his head a bit sideways as his eyebrows ascend up his forehead, his curiosity stirring up as usual once the injured man begun to approach slowly but surely with every limp, his eyes filled to the brim with courage. After he came close-enough his boiling exasperation for the delusional man took over and within the blink of an eye Masakazu felt both of the person’s feet collide into his chest and another unannounced strike to his throat that made his head arch a bit more from the hit. Despite not feeling much of anything when being hit in his chest that wonderful knuckle-sandwich to his neck didn’t feel all that pleasant even if had metal plating in his body preventing the blow. “Ha! That actually hurt never thought you had it in you. Your knuckles must not feel too well after hitting titanium though.” Masakazu rubbed his throat in annoyance before spitting out some flem mixed with a hint of blood, still feeling a bit of unwanted pain from the vibrations of metal going through his spine, that’s one bad way to get a headache. Feeling that rattling inside his brain which soon stopped as Bismarck finished his questioning. “Sure, but considering how hastily you acted earlier! I’m sure you already know, there’s a certain person that wants to see you and to be honest i’m not exactly sure what they want with you but it must be pretty important, you’re lucky that i’m not the one that wants to capture because if i was, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Those several useless men of mine were suppose to be back-up not a kill squad, they were meant to assist if this deal of ours went wrong. But ah things got out of hand! Wonder why?! Your family wasn’t a target but you put them in the line of fire, endangering them. I’m gonna give you one last chance to surrender yourself, both of your brother’s have a chance at living and not letting the rest of your families get hurt buuut if you don’t comply. You’ll probably bleed out and a lot of people will die. Soo? What’s it gonna be?!” Masakazu scratched his chin. Looking at Bismarck giving him one last chance to comply even though he wanted to let loose.

Erika glanced curiously at the woman as she spoke, trying to stay calm throughout her mini-speech. Okaaaay. Scary lady with a mask finding out where they lived. She could stay calm. However, the mention of business made her perk up a little. Either it was another client or someone who deemed her detective skills worthy enough to seek her out and ask for a favor. Either way it sounded like she'd be getting something out of this.

She bit her lip at Emu's input, trying not to roll his eyes when he mentioned to her not to be so rude upon first meeting.
....Alriiiight, alright. Just gotta stay on guard. For all we know, she works for that soul-stealing jerkass. Might as well find out what she has to say, though.

"Hmm....only if you make it quick, seeing as we have a client,"
Erika said in her best "polite" tone that she could manage. Then her tone changed to an interested one as her shoulders dropped, having been tense at first, and she looked over the lady. "So, what kind of business is it that you want to discuss with me?"

  • Chuck was sweating as he slowly descended down the stairs and into the kitchen, the sound of fighting filling the place, yet getting a bit quieter with each passing minute. Hopefully, that mean Maria and Elizabeth were winning. At least those two weren't afraid of killing people like he was. Heck, he was still worry if he killed anyone or not. Some of them were wearing metal, and if he knew anything, metal and electricity was as bad of a reaction as Electricity and water. Before he could think anymore, he felt a rush go past him. He was prepared to aim at the new arrival, yet had to stop himself when it was only Bismarck. Of course. Chuck was stupid to think his brother wouldn't come to protect his kids too.

His eyes momentarily looked over the revolver Bismarck took from the vault until his big brother thanked him for helping. Momentarily, the boy had forgotten they were in a crisis right now, his eyes widening and sparkling while a blush adorned his face. Hi-His brother was proud of him! Did he actually do something right for once. He continued this way for a few moments, wordlessly nodding along to Bismarck...however, at the mention of Luce, his expression grew sour and he crossed his arms, staring at the floor. Luce...there was absolutely no doubt in Chuck's mind that the fox would just make everything worse.

However, before Chuck could tell this input to Bismarck, a stray bullet from the fight upstairs whizzed by Chuck's head just a hair and landed in his brother's arm, causing his brother to fall downstairs. Eyes wide in shock, he quickly ran down to see if the gang leader was alright, breathing a sigh of relief when he was okay. And so, he wordlessly followed the concern father, nodding to Maria and Elizabeth when they caught up, before they all burst through the door, cursing himself when he already saw what the man did. With a sigh, Chuck put down his weapons and held up his hands...but he still had his gloves. One shock could do the trick...right?

He gave the man a deadpanned stare when he referred to him as 'Shit-stained'. He really hoped it would do the trick. With wide-eyes, Chuck could only watch with a mouth agape as the kids began to chant 'Fuck you' to the man, but shook his head When Bismarck started to throw books, yet the man's psychopathic determination did not waver. Instead, the man suggested a simple fist-fight...one against four. Chuck narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists, shaking with rage. Fine. Old Chuck might've ran from this, tried to talk it out. But not New Chuck. Not after what this man did and was about to do.

The man had once again zoomed up to Bismarck and punched him in the stomach, sending his brother skidding back, only fueling his rage further. Taking a step forward, he was momentarily surprised when Bismarck had hit back. But the Man clearly wasn't fazed. Quickly taking off his gloves, Chuck had ran up to the man and delivered a round-house kick, a little to near-perfect, straight to the man's neck, the gangster foolish enough to give away just where this titanium plating was. Bismarck maybe a bit roughed up, but Chuck and everyone else behind him were still raring to go! Whether the hit connected didn't matter to him, for right after, he went for jab to the man's stomach, his hand crackling in a sparkling blue again.

Chuck grinned a little. He didn't say anything about using modified fists.

Daedra Wraithborne

Daedra was keenly aware of how forced Erika's current behavior was and took note of it. Her personality leaked out from behind the mask of professionalism she was trying to put on. "Client you say?....." Daedra weighed her options of a second. What would be her best course of action to guarantee cooperation? Would this person jump on the opportunity to help the rivals and replacement of her old workforce? Being out of work, she's likely expecting compensation. But, she can't ask the questions she's hoping to ask in front of this "client". The least opportune thing would be drawing too much attention to the operation in it's infancy; the very thing she was trying to avoid at the moment.
"You've taken up another trade then?" Daedra asked deciding to see if she could use this situation to secure an informant and make Erika play into her hand. "I'm sure this isn't a meeting concerned with detective work. Investigation without authority is vigilante crime..." As she said this Daedra paused to search Erika for a reaction before continuing. "I had initially come as an agent of sorts, seeking out former officers with exceptional records to join our ranks." She lied, walking past Erika and into the room, looking about the decor for anything interesting. Eventually, she stopped in front of a picture on the wall and turned to face her. "I can't imagine you'd be interested? I'm in the very least hoping you will cooperate with an investigation of my own." Daedra instinctively looked towards the window in her immediate line of sight, for anything strange outside.
She turned to face Erika in response for her question about what her business was.
"Just some information will suffice."

Masakazu W. Fuma
(Location: Rainy Traveller general store)(Currently: "Talking to Bizzy")
At first glance, Masakazu was believing for a second that he was having the upper-hand. Believing that he didn’t have to injure his targets anymore and both of them could go about peacefully, well not without having them be escorted out to a vehicle with the few remaining armed thugs so that they could go back to Hell City’s cemetery where Devicto Mortis had been hanging out and their mastermind Frederika, not many were sure why they’d find something like a graveyard prepossessing to one’s eye but surely enough they found it to be a bit remote and away from society, perhaps it was more convenient to the Adramalech, easy access to fresh corpses means a slight chance of an essence still being within mortal remains. As brutal as that may sound, Masakazu always prefered having a fetching view of Hell City underneath him. Of course, every mobster’s stereotypical dream. “So?” He continued to leisurely stand in place, open-palms at his side as he extends and retracts his fingers boringly, waiting for a final decision which was then resolved. Not by someone’s verbal input but by Bismarck’s brother bouncing into the fray. Jittery with anticipation, Masakazu’s view was carried along with each motion that he made before delivering a round-house kick to his bulky throat. In mid-thought he thought that this Chuck fellow was a bit more empty-headed than his counterpart but then a sequence of shivering side-effects made their way up and down his skin, he had directly hit him in the alloy overlaying most of his neck causing it to vibrate, sending a shockwave of painful signals into his head, further frustrating him even more with chronic headaches. Before he had just been playing around, buying enough time for them to give-up but now?

Now, he had given up trying to play ‘nice’. Masakazu was frenzied, as Chuck was about to conclude his distich attacks by consuming his own hand in a sparkling-blue ‘aura’ presumably another electric attack to end the conflict but all was not too be ended as once he extended his hand his forearm was promptly clenched in the middle of his swing, breaking the momentum that he had with Masakazu lifting his forearm upward before giving him an incensed grimace, his eyes deeply bloodshot from rage. “Now, that I think of it, I’ll just break your appendages and just drag you to Bernkastel.” He gritted his teeth, still tightening his grasp around the man’s forearm while shaking from his mixture of annoyance and painful tremors going throughout his brain. “Graah!” Emitting a loud roar, he slid his right foot backwards before pushing off of it, pulling his body-weight behind his next punch that was only further intensified by him lowering Chuck’s forearm and him driving it into his face. Masakazu stepped himself back away after the blow, still giving into his berserker-like trance he drug his foot around one of the steel legs of an infirmary bed before tilting it sideways with a stomp, afterwards kicking it to the side and kneeing it as it faced him, causing the bed, frame and all to come hurling towards Chuck. “You like bending the rules? I’ll do the same!” Masakazu’s masked syndicate operative looked a bit concerned as his eyebrows shrunk down through the material becoming visible, he knew what he had to do. With this man’s unpredictability and being as hostile as he is now? Those kids were in serious danger of becoming his next target. “Okay, we need to go now, while he’s distracted. We’ve gotta play it careful or else I can’t guarantee that you’ll be safe so just keep close and follow my lead.” His light-whispering voice was quite strange, even his tone. Was this Masakazu’s men? With that kindness it was so off to see someone going against his leader. As the fight ensued, he brought the children back up to their feet escorting them out of the room and into the hallway, and up the stairs before taking off his mask and throwing it to the side.

“Hope you kids are alright.” Damien looked back, helping them get up the stairs and up onto the main-floor, stepping over bodies before using the back entrance. “Wraithborne is going to be pissed.” He cupped his forehead, shaking it as he walked to one of the vehicle’s parked in the alleyway. Damien was going to have to inform the commissioner about this unexpected news as now he had to watch over two kids, instead of going about with his normal duties, guess she was going to have to get over it! There was no way was he ever letting children die.

Stewart's sock form stopped flopping about to listen to what Vendetta had to say; he scooched closer to the edge of the circle, turning to his human form and looking at Vendetta with innocent eyes...which slowly turned to a more demonic smile than a cute Stewart grin. He cocked his head as she asked him if he knew where William was, then he nodded with a small smile. Of course he knew! He had been sent to fetch the tiny human several times, so he had taken it upon himself to figure out everything about where he went. The most common place was a certain headquarters.

"Down in Omega, in a large building! That's the Jumbo's Take-In Association! Can you let me out now? Pleeeeeeeaaaaasssse? I passed the test, I passed it!"

The Rouge

Rouge thought for a moment. As Andromeda was new to the assassin game, so was he to the mentor game. thinking about how he built up a reputation, he finally thought of an answer. Taking another sip of whiskey he cleared his throat "Well, how i built up my reputation was through making as many connections as possible in the underworld of Hell City. by doing this people more people are familiar with you and your work. And as your career progresses, so does your reputation. for better, or for worse" This was true. when Rouge was just starting out, he went to as many crime bosses, organization leaders, and other assassins as he could. And when his skills as an assassin bloomed, so did his reputation. he then gestured his hand towards the crowd once more "And it looks like your in the right place to do just that. how about you go out there and make a few introductions to some people" He said, slightly pushing her out there "just try to act normal. dont force them. your new here, so people should come up to you". Seeing her go into the crowd, he gave a sigh or relief. with a few minutes to himself, he decided to be a little productive

imputing the coordinates that Masakazu gave them into his wrist mounted computer, he was given a holographic projection of the building that they were both hired to send a message to. setting the projection on the table, he analyzed the schematics of the building, making plans for a method for their silent sabotage. being completely focused on his work, he couldn't notice the two attractive women that silently sat at both of his sides. thinking it was Andromeda, he gave a slight chuckle "Back already". it wasent until they began to touch him until be felt something was off. he turned to both his sides that he realized who the two women were. "Well ladies, its been a while" he gave with another small chuckle. he then rose his hand, showing them his wedding ring "Maybe a bit too long". The ladies were none other than Jezebel Fire and Brimstone. He had some, lets just say, "exiting meetups" with them in his past. although those were in his younger years before he had a sense of honor. The two women then stopped touching him and slid about an inch to each side on him. Again, another instance where he had to stay loyal to his wife. "So, what brings you two lovely ladies out here?"

THE LETTERMAN
Bismarck felt his hand and foot hit what felt like titanium; he drew back, wincing and holding that hand to his chest. It was now bruised slightly, and a few droplets of blood had emerged from his knuckles. His foot stung, too; falling to the ground, Bismarck, bruised, beaten and bloody, took off his glasses, trying to think of a strategy. This man was worse than Superman; he practically was a man of steel. Bismarck was smaller, with the build of someone who would do better with his powers. Hopelessness washed over him, and he fell into a state of great despair. He was weak. He couldn't win this.

A few tears stung his eyes, and he was about to surrender again--had Chuck never charged at Masakazu and punched him in the face. A weak but proud smile formed on the Letterman's face, and he felt the biggest surge of Saedor pride since...well....since Chuck electrocuted those guys upstairs. He had to give it to his little brother; he had become a freaking badass. Bismarck was just....Bismarck. He wanted to say something to express his pride, but next thing he knew, the man was hurling a whole bed at Chuck. Bismarck's eyes widened in horror, but he took the initiative the grab his brother's foot and yank him to the ground to dodge the wild bed, hugging him protectively with a certain angry glint in his eye.

"B-Breaking deals isn't a sign of leadership, it makes others lose your trust,"
he said in a dangerously soft tone before snapping his fingers. Dumbledore the phoenix flew downstairs and into the room, preparing for his master's command. Silently, he pointed at Masakazu, then drew a circle with his finger. The bird nodded, then let out a squawk, looking at Bismarck concernedly. Bismarck chuckled weakly. "....I-I've seen worse and you know it. I'll get you coal afterwards. Red-hot coals." That seemed to satisfy Dumbledore, who swooped down upon Masakazu, then even lower to the floor around him. Golden flames now surrounded the man, creating a ring of fire. Bismarck knew that the tiles were done for, but ah well. He would fix them once he healed up. In the meantime, he looked at his brother, checking for any injuries, before looking back at Masakazu. The flames weren't very high; they'd be relatively easy to climb over and would likely scorch the lower leg. But it was a quick distraction, as the phoenix flew in the man's face, squawking angrily at him; its song was normally beautiful, but anger had caused its voice to turn a bit less pretty and a bit more threatening. It was enough to ensure his brother's safety and hug him.

".....Thanks.....er...again. You really saved my butt back there.....I thought I was done for."

THE HERMIT Solemn Jester Solemn Jester
Bernkastel was about to slip away to begin commanding her own men on what to do now, and perhaps formulate a plan on what to do first when her precious curiosities arrived, but any idea of doing such a thing was shattered by Yozaku wrapping his arms around her. Now, had she not made that contract to shut him up, at this point, she would have hit him and walked away to work on her projects, but now she was kind of stuck here, in the arms of a cyborg she didn't even love. Deep inside her head, she could hear Lambda snicker.

Aww, would you look at that, Freddie's going soft~!

Shut up, I'm trying to get out of here, Bern retaliated, managing to squirm her way out of Yozaku's vice grip. She wrote a polite message explaining she had to take care of the NPCs, then flew out of the area with the hammock and to one of the various rooms within the Domus Tenebris. A small group of hooded men were sacrificing a pig for some sort of ritual. Bernkastel listened to its impudent squealing, then watched, pleased, as they lopped off its head. Its blood splattered onto the pale cheeks of the woman, creating a very bright red blush. The best makeup was blood, after all; she then watched them circle the head, chanting.

She joined them, her eyes closed as she chanted with them. From that came nothing but a large puff of smoke. Once the smoke faded away, the men were on the ground, dead, and Bern stood in the middle of their bodies. Her scythe was dripping with their blood. She loomed over the corpses, chuckling lightly.
"Trying to replace me? You'll have to try again....oh, wait. You're dead. Tough luck~."

Fire and Brimstone
After finishing some dirty dealings with some local thugs, Brimstone had spent some good old time with a cute little friend of the twins before returning back home to pick up her sister. Not wanting the blonde terrorist to be pointed out she slid her hair under a chauffeur cap and put on the uniform as well. Adding her sister's beloved addition a clearly obvious fake mustache she slid on her sunglasses and pulled up to the apartment complex entrance. There Brimstone saw the newly brunette Fire was flirting with a well known pop-star who lived a few floors below them.

Fire batted her pretty new green eyes at him as she ran her finger under his collar, tracing his collarbone. "I'll have to check it out sometime. I always had a weakness for music it just make me feel so naked, open and vulnerable. And your's I've always thought is very passionate and raw." Watching his body heat grow her cybernetic eye and contacts were working like a charm. Though it wasn't very hard to figure out what this fool was thinking she could feel him against her leg and did her best not to laugh. Suddenly from behind she heard a familair honk and saw her sister in her chauffeur attire and she did laugh. She even wore the mustache! Oh, today is fantastic. Looking back at the singer she smiled and placed a hand on his chest. "It seems I have to go, but don't worry darling I'll see you soon." She blew him a kiss hopped into the car and waved as they sped off.

Looking over to her sister she poked her face, "you wore the mustache."

Brimstone tore it off. "It's ridiculous to wear it. Even in this uniform it's clear I'm female."

Fire laughed and nodded. "That's true You're boobs are almost as big as mine, almost." She groped her sister, as they drove laughing as she bothered her sister even more. Brimstone ignored her sister as they made their way to a old friend's abode. Peeling off her disguise Brimstone parked the car, while Fire took out one of her contacts, covering her cyber eye with her usual eye patch and the two sneaked in while his back was turned. Always so focused on work he didn't even notice who it was until they started to play.

"Can't two girls miss their favorite assassin?" Fire pouted as she saw the wedding ring, but it didn't stop her from unzipping her jacket and scooting closer to him. She ran a warm finger up his arm, she adored Rogue and although she'd never reveal to a human her gifts, she would let him take her any time, ring or not.

"We were just in the neighborhood after all." Brimstone followed suit and ran her fingers through his hair as she tilted her head. "Besides it's dull being productive members of society. We want to know what's going on with the world. The real world." Her golden eye flashed in intrigue. Rogue was one of the very few people that Brimstone really enjoyed, besides feeling the metal in him she smiled.

"Of course we could always have a bit of fun. Just because you're married now doesn't mean anything. We love to share. Isn't that right Brimstone?" Fire's eye flashed with desire, chaos was what she wanted and with The Rogue chaos always ensues.

Brimstone smiled at her sister and nodded, "Right Fire." She placed a hand on The Rogue's thigh and gently slid it up towards him. "We're always up for sharing. Plus we'd love to meet your wife. Give her our congratulations, since we weren't invited to the wedding."

"Yeah! That's right why weren't we invited! I thought we were friends Roguie~kins." She placed a finger to her lips and batted her eye at him. "Don't you like us anymore? And we came all this way to surprise you. Meanie."

Migraines were becoming significantly worse and that damned ringing kept repeating through the inner-sanctum of his mind. This wasn’t pain, this was torture! Masakazu wasn’t giving in anytime soon though, it only furthered his mindset, making him more determined to consummate this undertaking that was placed onto him. Great responsibility was on his shoulders and he wasn’t one to let things up until they were completed, Bernkastel was going to get what she wanted even if it costed him a large deal of effort. Fortunately Bismarck still had his wits about him, on-top of that endurance which allowed him to pull his sibling out of harm’s way, seconds before the bed toppled forward and to the otherside of the room, crashing into the wall and making a few indentations into the structure from the hospital bed’s hardened frame. “You have your flesh and blood to blame for that one, but i’m not sure if you’d want to be too harsh! He just wanted to have a bit more fun! Cut loose! Sure, i’ll appease your appetite but still you must be punished for your insolence. Break one of their index fingers, both of them.”. However his orders fell on deaf ears as those two kids were missing! What!? He couldn’t help but wonder what happened to both of them! Maybe his men took them somewhere else so they wouldn’t have a chance to rescue them. Smart thinking, he thought while grinning from ear to ear, this meant things were going to get even more interesting. Might not of been what Bernkastel had wanted but now he had a bargaining chip that came in the form of two of his impressionable kids, much more opportunities can be built on them alone, Masakazu needed only to get out of there before they were long gone. “Well, looks like i’m done here.” With a last mocking retort he spun around but was shocked to witness a loud cawing behind him. A Phoenix?! You’ve got to be kidding, that’s the last thing he needed and to add to his mix of troubles it circled him in a ring of fire with a scorching temperature that left his titanium raising in heat slowly, eventually this was going to become unbearable.

There was no reason left to fight, he got what he wanted. “See you soon Bismarck!” He waved happily, shit-eating grin and all placed on his face as he sprung himself backwards, pushing himself off of the ground and onto the other side of fiery ring that was beginning to blaze out of control. That damned bird kept swooping towards him though and becoming a nuisance. Soon he felt he had enough and retrieved the carbon-steel tanto from out of his sheathe and threw it at the phoenix clipping it’s right wing before stepping out of the infirmary and poking his head out of the door-frame with his confidence shining. “Oh! Just thought i’d let you know that you’d better have a book that includes a water monster of some sort because at this rate, you and your good ol’ pal beside you are gonna be looking like burnt cookies. But hey! I’ll send you a couple of love-notes! Maybe you’ll come to reason soon!” Even if it wasn’t completely true, Masakazu was a madman that would get his way and this was a good example. Sure he didn’t capture Bismarck and his brother but he got something of even more value that Bernkastel would appreciate, unless she didn’t like baby-sitting. Looks like she’d have to deal with those brats! Meanwhile Damien was perched on the vehicle’s hood, radio in his head as he tried to contact NoxArma but of course their lines were being occupied at the worst times especially when Masakazu stepped out, excited to see all of them grouped together, like a family photo! “Oh isn’t this cute! As much as i’d like to rip your throat out for abandoning me i’d say you did a pretty good-job taking these munchkins. Don’t be afraid of Uncle Kazzy kid, he’s going to take you to Aunt Bernkastel while your parents clean up the place! I know me and them had a bit of a falling out together but i’m sure we’ll settle all of this over a cup of coffee.” Damien’s heart begun sinking after he was approached by Masakazu, this wasn’t good. He was still acting like his goon and he had to play it safe or else he’d be endangering them and himself, not only this but he’d ruin the mission. Damien looked at the children with a look of sorrow in his eyes before sitting in the front passenger seat of the vehicle after getting them into the back one by one. How could he live with himself after this? If he jeopardized the mission then Wraithborne would have his ass mantled but if he kept these children with this guy, well there’d be a chance of them getting hurt. Masakazu took his seat in the driver’s seat all jittery with excitement. “Ooo, I know how to get rid of these jitters! Hope you like the music kids!” He exclaimed happily before cranking the stereo up and driving of to his destination, sending a final text to Bernkastel as he made it onto the highway.

“Heeey, well. Things didn’t go exactly as planned! That’s for sure! Buuuuut I got something even better, i’m sure you’d agree! Don’t worry, i’ll not spoil the surprise for you. Be there soon! ;D Get some of your buddies posted outside, i'd hate for anyone to spoil our meeting. - Kazzy

Andromeda grabbed her drink from the waiter, returning back with a small pep in her step. She soon approached Rogue being caressed by two older women, who clearly have a sudden interest in Rogue. Andromeda gave a lopsided smile, for she was already getting accustomed the amount of attention she was receiving from her new found mentor. “Rogue, now is not the time to be associating with women other than your wife...We have a time limit…” She tapped on the imaginary watch on her wrist, putting on a very innocent smile.

Andromeda sat down next to one of the ladies and glanced at her from the corner of her glass, as she took a sip of the wine. She smirked slightly laughing at her own jealousy. Andromeda loved and seeked interaction with others, for people continued to impress her. But that didn’t necessarily mean she didn’t like..those kind of people.

Now he was 'bending' the rules? The psychopath had titanium plating in his body for a fist fight, which wouldn't even happen if they didn't already tie up his nephews. Not to mention he came here with almost a hundred men and a bus that busted right through their wall. And he basically had the most obnoxious, soul-stealing rule breaker as a boss.

This idiot had been 'bending' the rules long before he came here.

Chuck broke away from his thoughts when he heard the sound of...the wheels on the nursery bed? His eyes widened just before Bismarck pulled him to the ground, and he felt a wind pass above him. Groaning from the sudden falling, he opened his eyes and moved his arms to get his spare glasses, putting them on and looking around...only to see Bismarck hugging him. Blinking, he looked up at the sound of an angry cawing to see the phoenix surround the man in a ring of fire. Hearing the man's words, Chuck's eyes widened and he turned to where he last saw the kids with the tora guard...THEY WERE GONE!

"Ge-GET BACK HERE!" The young man screamed at the gangster, but he was already gone. Eyes wide and scrambling up, he jumped across the ring of fire, scorching some of his clothes, and bolted up the stairs. Only dead Tora men and some injured ones could be seen. Damn it...DAMN IT, DAMN IT, DAMN IT! If only he could figure out where he was going! But despite how much the gangster was mouthing off, he made sure not to tell where Bern's location is. And it wasn't like Chuck could track the phone! He wasn't a hacker like Willi-

...Chuck ran up into his room to go get dressed into his combat gear, but not before grabbing his phone from the dresser and giving someone a call.

THE LETTERMAN
"NO!" The hoarse cry that belonged to Bismarck suddenly filled the nursery; he limped in, still clutching the injured arm as he stared down the beast that dared threaten his sons. His face was pale from the loss of blood, his palms sweaty and shaky. He looked at Nikolas and Phineas, heartbroken by their cries, but he knew that, as the head of the family, he was supposed to stay strong. But, as much as his inner fighter begged him to punch the man in the gut, he realized that there was only one way in getting these thugs out of his store, and this....this....this beast away from his sons.

Two shaking hands raised in the air in total surrender; Bismarck stared at the ground, feeling ashamed. Some example he was being compared to the others, who were much braver and much stronger than he would ever be, he told himself. But this was the only way. He had done his best, but he just had to do this. His book was still clenched in his fist.

Then he heard Maria's voice; she was definitely braver than him as she threatened the man to leave their kids alone. He stared at Nikolas and Phineas, who, though oblivious, were speaking. What it was, he didn't know, until Phineas let out a gleeful and loud "FUCK YOU".

Bismarck froze, staring in disbelief at his son. Then Nikolas followed afterward, saying the exact same thing. Then they literally chanted the phrase in unison. In their cute toddler voices.

Bismarck wasn't quite sure what to say, but soon, without thinking, he threw the book at the man's head. Ouch; the father winced, but took the chance to limp over to the nearest bookshelf and just pelt the enemy with books.

Masakazu W. Fuma (Location: Rainy Traveller general store)(Currently: "Fighting Bizzy")
Three remained of Masakazu’s men, one badly wounded from shock and a bit disoriented and the others moving him along after they made their way through the downstairs corridors, until they came across a couple of voices one of which was Masakazu with a couplet of children that made a series of deafening screams, as if they just been discovered the madman that was trying to find them. Not wasting any second, all of them escorting the injured one into the infirmary and made their way inside, where they saw a frightening scene, even for them! Masakazu was near one of the far-reaches of the wall with his hands placed firmly upon their shoulders, as to keep them from running away. “Sir, i don’t mean to be intrusive but we’re only here for Bismarck, not the- " His voice was swiftly cut-out by the sound Masakazu’s harsh voice scolding him for his intolerance. “Oh? Are you giving me orders now?! You best learn your place damn well fast or i’ll string you up by your vocal cords, now come over here and tie these little shits up and watch over them! Break their damned bones if Bismarck doesn’t listen to reason, i’ve got something in store for them.” How inhumane, they were only kids and this psychopath was beginning to take things way over the edge as they were naive and innocent, not involved with the situation at all and both of them were still learning their basic diction. They didn’t serve this kind of treatment as well as being scared that their lives were in the balance because of a situation that went was horribly miscalculated. “Understood sir.”

One of the Tora syndicate soldiers huffed, knowing he had no other choice to listen the Oyabun. Reaching for his utility belt he whipped out a couple of plastic zip-ties and begun tying them around their wrists, limiting their movement and putting their hands behind their back, even if they were kids. Something was very off about this associate of Mr.Fuma, he was masked almost looking like a hooded execution of sorts but his eyes were very distinctive, both of which had a mixed color of red and yellow creating a dim orange. “Listen, kids don’t get him riled up, i’m sorry to say this but i’m going to have to move you out of here when the commotion happens. This wasn’t planned but you both need to be stay calm and follow me when the time comes or else all we’re all dead.” He whispered to each of them, before standing behind both of them and trying his best to fit in with the others that were acting as menacing except for the injured member who was clutching his ribs in agony while sitting against the corner of the infirmary. Maskazu on the other-hand was pacing around like a junkie that was hopped up on all sorts of street drugs but his pacing stopped as another ‘ding’ notification alerted him from his phone. Bernkastel! He wish he could feel her presence with him at the very moment as he taught these unbearable Lydia Harp lackeys a thing or two about violence.

“No promises that their faces will look as good as mine when I bring them in! Not that they had a chance in beating me in looks! Ha! But i’m sure that things will sort themselves out eventually, i’m going to lie to someone like you but even i’m having a bit of trouble trying to do this quickly. They’re sending everything at me but, you know how much I like company! ;) See you soon ~ Kazzy

And with a single press of his thumb the cheesy message was sent to Bernkastel and at an opportune time as both Bismarck and his insufferable wife had just broke through the door leading into the infirmary. Of course that loud-mouthed banshee that he’s so infatuated with started about yelling again as if that was going to make him lay down and just submit. “Oh? Well boo-hoo, you have nothing to do with this either, it’s just Bismarck, his shit-stained brother, and I. So how about you mozy on down somewhere else, you’ve made things go out of hand and now you’re going to have to deal with the consequences! I’m sorry but uncle Kazzy is going to have to put you kids to sleep early if your father doesn’t settle his ass down.” A few seconds after he saw his hands raise up, pointing his fingertips to the ceiling in submission. A soft cheeky smile came about his face yet again as he got his way. Finally, he’s looked into reason. That brain of his must’ve been dysfunctional earlier because of all the havoc he caused. Bot low and behold his brats were just as arrogant, “Fuck you!” One of them cried out as another another followed, repeating the insulting comment once again until their father gained enough courage to assault Masakazu by throwing books at him with an obvious wound still gushing out with blood. Each book bounced off Masakazu’s titanium plated head, his brow furrowing in irritation as he continued.

“This is tiring. Just give up, at this point i’m not even in the mood to play. I’m half a second away from killing those munchkins of yours. However since you’re so excited that Uncle Kazzy is here i’ll play with you but no weapons including those books of yours. Only your fists! Hey that wife of yours can join in too if you want to make it a fair-fight. Hell, get your brother in here too if you want, let’s make it a challenge! Remember fists only, i’m sure you’d hate to see your children go away permanently.”
Masakazu carefully shrugged his shoulders backwards in a warming-up fashion as he loosened up his coat-jacket and threw it onto the ground below him, including his button-up dress shirt that came with it. Scars were marked all across his body. Bullets, lacerations, and burn marks all of them tattooing his body. He carefully drug up his fists in glee as he cracked his neck side to side. “If you happen to beat me fair and square, i’ll let your kids and all of you gooo! Pinky promise!” He laughed as he made his first move, without warning he became within a few feet of Bismarck. It was shocking how fast someone like him could move, it was as if his feet were on clouds and they were carrying him onward into the fight. With a single thrust of his arm, he collided his fist onto the center of his stomach.
(Oh, heads up. Try not to injure that Tora soldier behind the kids, a bit of a surprise. :) )

THE LETTERMAN SidTheSkid SidTheSkid Sugary_Paragraphs Sugary_Paragraphs Mitchs98 Mitchs98
Okay, so talking about his brother in such a manner in front of Bismarck made the man especially angry, and for once willing to punch the enemy in the face. He even nodded a little at the direct challenge, shrugging off his vest and loosening his tie. He was down to one arm, two legs, and his head to fight, based on the terms....plus Maria, Elizabeth, and Chuck were allowed to join in, so that gave his side seven arms, eight legs, and four heads. That could overpower Masazaku's one head, two arms, and two legs by number, but by skill? That depended. The Letterman removed his necktie, noticing how the kids were now tied up. Theoretically, Masakazu would let them go if he managed to defeat the man.

"U-Understood," he stammered, getting into a fighting stance. He had a strategy planned out. Sort of. Of course, the punch in the stomach sent Bismarck flying backwards; he groaned in pain, clutching it, but stood up all the same, smiling in a rather disoriented fashion. "Of...Of course....ju-just like the bullies in high school....." He chuckled, limping back to the man and looking him in the eyes. Those awful, evil eyes that reminded him of just that. Then he summoned up his courage and kicked Masakazu in the chest, combining that with a punch directed at the neck. "........So, tell me...! Wh-What do you want with Chuck and I that caused you to send several men to kill us....?! Wh-Why are you threatening my family?"

Chuck was sweating as he slowly descended down the stairs and into the kitchen, the sound of fighting filling the place, yet getting a bit quieter with each passing minute.

Masakazu W.

Resized_crazy.jpg
(Location: Hell City, Freeway)(Currently: Escaping to Cemetery)

- Kazzy

Oh...this was bad. He looked up into the blood-shot eyes of the now enraged man, a bit of fear striking through his own cloud of anger. His threat to break Chuck's bones provoked some more fear from the young man, but the gangster's words after caused Chuck to blink in shock. Bern! Of course she was behind thi-

Maria and Elizabeth Jones - Rainy Traveler General Store

Maria blinked as her sons started cursing the man out, she knew that wasn't the best thing for them to do....though it was quite cute when you thought about it. If only things weren't so dire, maybe she would of laughed at them a little. Next came Bismarck tossing books at the man and shouting. Again, probably not going to actually do anything...but at-least he was trying. The twins on the other hand were sitting there watching and planning. Maria was almost certain the man was up to something. She could of easily stabbed him to death when he approached her, or rather, he wanted her to believe such. Fighting him head on was pointless.

She growled as her children were threatened, then look utterly confused when he said she didn't have anything to do with it. Clearly he was entirely crazy. The man was her husband and the other her brother in law...and Elizabeth's secret crush she constantly teased her about, of course she had a place in this. What kind of person would she be not to defend her family? As long as she could actually do so, she intended on doing so. "Never...threaten my kids.." She growled, glaring at him through slit eyes as he mentioned 'putting them to sleep'.

When he mentioned letting them go if they beat him in a fist fight she knew something was wrong. He had some form of Gift or some other trick up his sleeve. He didn't seem like an honorable opponent in the slightest. She almost foolishly jumped in as the blow connected with her husbands' chest, though Elizabeth held her back. For now, they would watch Chuck and Bismarck fight. Or try to fight. It seemed rather impossible either could beat them, though maybe they'd give the nekos' an idea as to what they could actually do to help.

She looked to Bismarck, smiling softly when he got up and seemed relatively alright. Good. As long as everyone was standing and not in any sort of critical condition, they would be just fine. Bismarck then asked the million dollar question, something she was wanting to know herself. Sure they had had some people come and attack them more than once over the years, hell Elizabeth nearly died from a robber and would of if it wasn't for Peter. Though that had actually led to a more happy moment in the end...that was aside the point.

As Masakazu explained himself, though not in very much detail, she understood a little. Honestly..? She felt like it might be her fault things escalated this far, if only she hadn't of came up sword drawn. Maybe things would be different, maybe her children wouldn't of gotten involved. She sighed heavily, genuinely depressed at that thought. Right now she was more worried about her family than herself, the second she thought of some kind of plan or way to do something, even if it risked herself, she'd do it. Bismarck did that every chance he could right? It was about time she started paying him back for all those times she saved him...hell she wouldn't even be alive today if he hadn't of rescued them when they were kids.

She wondered what Bismarck would choose, figuring he would surrender. It was just in his nature, he might of fought back, but in the end he would always give himself up as some form of greater good. Which in all honesty was always a bad idea in her opinion. She wasn't sure if she wanted to think it would be a good one in this case, she always got him back relatively fine every single time he had given himself up...but...still. She didn't like taking the risk, she didn't want to. Had Chuck not stepped in she would of...though, she would of broke the terms of his little agreement and surprised him with several pistol shots right to the head. But, eh. If it worked right?

Chuck's attack revealed quite the big secret, her ears twitching a little from the tell-tale sign of skin on metal. So that was it. Metal plated. Perhaps a cyborg? Maybe even a full on android. Though it could still be a gift she supposed, one particular albino girl running around having somewhat similar abilities. Regardless of the cause of it that was why he acted so confident. It explained a lot...and just made things all the harder to come up with a valid plan. She then smirked ever so slightly as she noticed Chuck preparing to electrocute him. So...he had noticed to then. Good.

Sadly his plan failed, rather miserably. Soon the red headed man was sent into a frenzy attacking poor Chuck, though that didn't distract her from Damien or his whispering. The only thing that stopped her was the fact that he seemed to be helping her kids...if his whispered words were any indication whatsoever. Cat-like hearing had its perks....she just hoped she was right to trust him. The masked man was her only hope at getting her kids back safely, after all. Back to the fight at hand she watched as Dumbledore was summoned downstairs, stepping back from the fire out of instinct.

Ah, perfect...fire and metal. If anything at the very least it'd hurt like hell and buy them some time to wound him further. Though it would seem Masakazu wasn't as dumb as she'd hoped he would, fleeing out of the room with Chuck running after him. Eyes widening she streaked upstairs as well, though of course was too late as was her brother. She sighed heavily, punching the nearest wooden wall at full force causing it to crack. Of course it had hurt her hand as well, blooding running down from several cuts on her knuckles. "GOD DAMMIT I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" She shouted at the door at the top of her lungs before running out of the door.

She made it a bit down the street before realizing it was entirely pointless. They were gone, kids likely gone too, herself dumb as a post for actually trusting Damien. She slowly walked back to the store, head hung low with the only sound being the sounds of the city and the occasional drip from the blood running off her hand. She would enter the store and sit down once she was inside, back skidding against the wall as she sat. She had no idea what to do anymore. She didn't know where they were being taken, for who, or anything else. It was all entirely pointless unless they had some way of figuring it out.

It seemed Chuck was either helping Bismarck or had a plan, either way she figured she would be told what it was soon enough if it was a plan. Meanwhile Elizabeth was busy rushing buckets of water back and forth to quell the fire before it burned the whole place to the ground. "Are you two alright?" She asked once she'd finally put the flames out, turning to Chuck and Bismarck.

Sierra pouted at Alisa, but she did get off of her anyways, in the meantime standing up and swinging her arms as she rocked back and forth on her heels. The ghosts did seem to have the same idea on what they wanted for breakfast, though, seeing as they said the exact same thing.

"Pancakes!"

"Jinx! You owe me a soda!"

"Do I look like I have soda on me?"

"Yep, you do~!" At this Kathy rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.

"Y'know, one day you'll wake up and find half the building blown up," she grumbled. "Honestly, do you always act like you're twelve?"

That struck a nerve with the redhead, whose face turned the same color as her hair. She tossed a pillow at Kathy, sticking out her tongue. "Better than being a buzzkill know-it-all!"

"You're an idiot!"

"You're a jerk!"

"You smell like garlic!"

"At least I don't smell like weed!"

And so on, as the girls rather violently tossed pillows and insults at each other. Sierra was a little more playful, but the playfulness ended at an insult about her necklace.

That was when she punched Kathy in the face and called her a jerkass murderer. The argument abruptly ended from there.
Alisa Ann -Bearer of Life

Alisa smirked as the both of them answered pancakes and yet another argument was started. Honestly? She felt like a mother to two children at times rather than one being a friend and the other her girlfriend. It was of course entirely amusing to her, but still. She wish just one time they'd act normal..she would say their age, but she did forget Kathy was still pretty young. So it was kind of normal, she guessed. And Sierra was just Sierra, so there was that too. She yawned slightly as she just walked around the room gathering some clothes to change into, stepping into her closet to change, and summarily walking out to witness Kathy getting punched.

She sighed heavily, "Honestly you two need to learn how to get along better." She told them. "If you could bring the argument or fight or whatever to the kitchen that would be really nice, I'd like to get our breakfast done so we can get started on our day." She said. "That is if it's okay with my garlic smelling weed smoking girls?" She asked, laughing a little as she walked through their home to the kitchen to get started on their meal.

Bismarck didn't have much to say; in fact, he just kind of watched in horror as the man spoke, not feeling up to moving or doing anything at the moment. He did dismiss Dumbledore, staring for a long time into the flames before Maria put them out. He felt pathetic, not even helping when his kids needed him the most. There was a pause, then he forced himself to sit up, feeling the world spinning around him, then he broke down for what felt like the fiftieth time this day alone. He stopped himself before he could, instead nodding when Elizabeth asked if he and Chuck were okay. He was....well....alive. Sighing, he de-summoned Patronus, then, taking a deep breath, leaned against the wall to help himself stand. Once he was able to do so, he kept limping, snaking past the fire his phoenix had started, through the living room, up the stairs, then into the store area. His eyes were watery from both the pain and the sadness; his glasses lenses had caved on the right side, he still had a bullet lodged in his right arm and it hurt. But not nearly as bad as it hurt knowing that he had failed to save Nikolas and Phineas.

He looked over to Maria, seeing her slumped against the wall. Ah...Bismarck looked to his right, feeling his heart ache even more than it already was aching, at the large hole in the wall caused by a truck driving through their store, men shooting at his products and his verey carefully organized displays. The only thing that he had been proud of himself for before he became a father....but even now, he failed. He paused for a moment, then limped over to his wife, using the last of his energy to just go over to her. He took the chance to sit down; Bismarck's legs were aching from too much....just too much. Obviously trying not to cry, he turned to her. That fiery, beautiful girl that he loved, with her head bowed and this hopeless expression on her face...that's what made a few tears fall down his face as he leaned his head against her shoulder, ignoring the pain to just try and comfort her. He wasn't entirely sure what to say, though, so he just decided to be by her side. Once something actually did come to mind, he looked at her, his brown eyes slightly spiked with tears.

"........Th....They won't get away with this.....Chu-Chuck's calling for help and....and I'll try to contact someone too.....th-the more people we have, the less likely Bernkastel is to win....r-right?" He smiled weakly at Maria, then, noticing a pair of medical tweezers that had fallen to the floor, he took them, staring at the bullet wound then back at the tweezers, before taking off his shirt and showing the wound to Maria. "Erm.....I...I hope it's n-not too much trouble, bu-but are you okay with.....ah.....getting the bullet out? I-I do-don't want to be a nuisance with a bullet stuck in my arm...o-or something....I-I could patch you up in return....th-then we could maybe call Sierra.....w-we all know that she'd be mo-more than happy to help out...."

(Damien Sykes)(Location: Devicto Mortis Cemetery)(Fighting against Mazzy)
Masakazu was nothing more than a monster to him, he may’ve once had humanity but that had all ended when he put these younglings at risk, tearing them away from their parent’s loving hold and watching them bask in desolation, wondering if they’d ever see both of their kids again. A few bad memories entered his head again as he strayed his eyes away from the dashboard and up onto the rear-view mirror where he saw a look of confusion on both of their faces, splotched with a couple of tears that managed to seek themselves out from the corners of their eyes. Recollection of conflict always brings up visions of horrific sights and never good ones either, all he could see was a child holding a scorched lifeless body that had been someone close to him, possibly a parental figure of some sort and there he wept continuously. Damien wasn’t planning on letting anyone else suffer, these pointless deaths of the young and guiltless bystanders would not go unattended as he was formulating a scheme to snag these two out of harm’s way, even if that meant risking his own skin to save someone else’s children. Both Masakazu and Damien concluded their painstaking journey once they took the vehicle onto an off-road path that led to Hell City’s infamous cemetery which held a gloomy atmosphere to it, didn’t help that Devicto Mortis had their headquarters right below this place of peace. Grave-robbers, murderers, and degenerates of all kinds were associated with this wicked organization. “Ha! I can’t wait to see Bernkastel’s face, she’ll be surprised but i’m sure she’ll enjoy having these rugrats, now she’ll have the upperhand when it comes to that Lydia Harp mess of a group, bah! They should’ve surrendered but nope! They had to turn happy-go luck Masakazu into a grumpy Gary! Now look what happened, we’ve got their kids all because they didn’t want to play nice.” Masakazu tauntingly whistled at the end as he stepped out from the driver’s seat after lazily pulling back the car-keys from its ignition, all of them were here. This chilling breeze carried something sinister with it, Damien felt as if these strong gusts of wind had spectators behind it, watching his every single move as he stepped out from his side of the jacked-up ride.

“Keep the doors locked..” Damien’s voice lingered through to the back of the seats. All but for a moment things were beginning to give the impression of being calm but when he turned around was shocked to see a wild haymaker from Masakazu that landed, knocking him back toward the vehicle as it hit his face. “Eh? You think I wouldn’t figure out! Paperwork from my desk missing and you thought you could just play it off but you didn’t expect me to find out huh?! Traitorous shit, who do you work for?” Disoriented but not out of the fight he stepped his right foot forward onto the side of Masakazu’s ankle, knocking him out of the way as he threw his rugged elbow to the side of his jaw causing him to stumble sideways clutching his ringing artificial mug. “You’ll regret that, i’ll skin you to the bone you back-stabbing mutt.” Reaching for his sheathe, Masakazu pulled out his last Tanto that he kept onto him. Damien wiped away the blood pooling on his bottom lip and took his hand behind his back to un-clip his leather scabbard containing his fixed military knife, eventually both of them were within a close-range with one another. Sparks of metal began to fly, metal dings echoed throughout the woods as both of them clashed against each other with blades. Until Masakazu grew tired and put his full-strength into one swing that knocked the fixed Gerber blade from Damien’s clutches, submerging the sheen weapon with it’s handle into the muddy terrain. All he could do now is evade the sharpened metal held in his foe’s hand, swinging at him from all directions but was taken off-guard by the insane warlord’s foot that struck his chest, sending him backwards and colliding his back with the mud, as if that wasn’t a bad position to be in, Masakazu made it worse by leaping onto him and having his blade pointed to his throat but with Damien using his non-pinned forearm to prevent it from piercing his throat and ending his life. “Shit!” He exclaimed as he felt the man’s weight being sunk forward and it lowering the blade, taking every opportunity he had to get himself out of this predicament he threw some of the mud into the man’s eyes and sent his knee upward, knocking Masakazu over him onto the wet mucky ground. “You’re dead!” Masakazu roared, hoisting his back against one of the graves, he managed to whip out his trusty semi-automatic firearm and started firing at Damien as he struggled to get away. His vocal cords strained as he felt pain soaring through his calf, he had been shot but found a place where he could lay low until he received some help, a deep opened grave… How symbolic.

THE PERSONIFICATION OF DEATH AND THE CHILD
Okay, so Samson definitely struck a nerve with Lily, but definitely in the opposite way that he expected. For, rather than her just yelling at him, she just swung out a leg and kicked him in the balls. With high-heeled boots. No mercy, no apology. "Touch Shiiro and you're dead, buddy," she said in a dangerously soft tone, crossing her arms. The man wasn't about to get away with insulting her girlfriend. Nope. Nada. Nice try. But just doing that turned Lily into an enemy, and a damn strong one too. She glared over at William when he commented about her not having a girlfriend...oh no he did NOT. She was about to yell at the mouse-kid, but then someone called him. Both Rika and Lily looked up when he mentioned Bern, their expressions darkening. Once William hung up, Rika had gained enough info on what was going on.

And it was very similar to the previous loops. The small girl shifted uncomfortably when William asked if they wanted to go on a hunting trip, whilst Lily, ready to beat someone up, nodded, only to look concernedly at Rika.

"What is it, Furude?" the Grim Reaper asked calmly; Rika merely shook a little before staring up at Lily, hugging herself once again.

"I don't trust that this Hell City will end well....." she answered, her serious tone returning. There was a hint of sadness in there. Regret, even, that she was about to lower everyone's hopes. "I just feel like....like something bad will happen...."

Lily scoffed; she grabbed her Little Black Book, hitting the younger girl lightly across the head with it. "Look, kid. If you worry about the future, bad stuff normally happens. I think your subconscious is telling you that. What you've got to do is make a plan and not stand by like you did last time." Rika nodded, but she still appeared to have her doubts. With a long sigh, the dark-haired female crouched down to Rika's height, staring pensively at her face before speaking. Her tone was surprisingly gentle, kind, but serious enough to match the situation. "Listen, I know it doesn't help much, but legally, she cannot kill me. Grim Reapers are protected by the law so we can stay neutral between the affairs of life and death. You can use me as a shield."

A long pause from Rika's end before she gave Lily a shaky grin; Lily smiled back, then stood up, turning to William.

".....I'm gonna go get dressed in my battle wear. As much as I like this shirt, I sure as hell can't fight in it. Hensen, thanks for listening." And with that she left the room, leaving Rika to stare at the floor, shaking.

".....I just don't feel as though Lily will survive this loop...." she said softly before sitting down, feeling a bit overwhelmed by all this. Then she looked at William. "Nikolas and Phineas Saedor usually get kidnapped. That's...That's a pattern I've noticed in all the loops in which Bernkastel is the antagonist."

Erika raised a brow when the lady asked her if she'd taken up another trade, then said that she was sure it wasn't a meeting concerned with detective work. Umm....duh. Of course it was. She opened her mouth to object, only for the woman to once again interrupt her by asking her to cooperate and help her by giving some information. By the looks of it, she was also asking for Erika to...join her ranks? Right. The young woman just gave her a curious look, then sighed, placing a hand on her hip. "Depends on what kind of information you want," she said, her voice somewhere between professional and about to explode. If she mentioned the Mafia just once, that was when Erika would tell her to get out. Other information on topics she knew of...that depended. She blew a wild strand of hair out of her face, feeling a grin replace the skeptical look. "And what you're going to do with it. Now, I don't know how you figured I was recently let go--and unreasonably, I'm their best and only detective, not to brag--" She was bragging. Just a little. "But if you're talking about joining your ranks, I'd like to hear about what that is about and who recommended you. I'm not about to let an opportunity slip past."

Ez set down his cup of tea and quickly stood up walking over to Erika and the strange lady who interrupted them.

"Hang on." He said stepping slightly in front of Erika. "Sorry to be so blunt but your gonna have to wait your turn. I was here first and it's rude to interrupt people who are in the middle of something. So if you'd have a little manners and let us finish first that would be great." A scowl was on the young man's face as he looked the lady over, a bit to frazzled to be intimidated by the lady who had appeared.

Daedra Wraithborne

Daedra smiled warmly beneath her mask again. "I'm glad to hear it." she said moving to lean against the back of a seat. "I'm not at liberty to speak about any specifics of our organization as of yet." Daedra examined the ends of her ponytail as she said this. She stopped, looking off in the distance as if a thought had come to her. Though, she had planned out most of this. "It can be said that we've been contracted to bring...reform to Hell City. A much more effective replacement, in spirit, to your former workplace."
Daedra got up from leaning and walked over to Erika, standing in front of her.
"However...it could benefit us both if you work with us on this investigation we're currently undertaking." She looked back to Erika searching her face for the obviously incoming hesitation.
"Think of it as an audition. If we like you, and you like us, we can move forward from there. Fair?"
Daedra, though ignoring them, had made sure to keep track of the client. A habit ingrained in her from her trade.
She reoriented herself to be facing him as he hastily moved across the room, two barely visible dots appearing on his head and center-mass.
"Oh, of course. My apologies -ehm, mister.-?" Daedra said trying to seem friendly to this person she now saw as an obstacle.
"Stand down." she whispered into her throat mic, clearly annoyed by their overly precautionary behavior.
"I had not intended to intrude. I understand if you are in the middle of something." Daedra said going to walk towards the door. "I'm sure I could help with your problem sir. I I am however on short time, so I'll have seek help elsewhere. I'm sure there are plenty of others who would jump on the opportunity."
She stopped at the doorway on her way out. "Shame...We could've really used you."

"Now, Masakazu, what have I told you about throwing men about in my cemetery?" Bernkastel's soft voice somehow made the soldiers she'd stationed above ground to welcome the Tora Syndicate, shudder in fear and slight pleasure in seeing her; the Andramalech of Devicto Mortis gave him a long look, slightly displeased with the fact that he didn't get the targets she asked for. Watching him hurl a traitor far away, she tsked at his temper, flying just above the many graves in the cemetery and towards him. She looked like the ghost of a woman who had died many years ago, with her pale face and lolita-style dress flowing out behind her. Once she was right in front of the Tora Syndicate leader, she lowered herself so she was even with his height, laying down in midair. A couple men lucky enough to be shorter than Masakazu had gotten a good glimpse of what was hidden beneath the skirt, but Bernkastel didn't seem to personally mind. She boredly booped his nose, stretching herself luxuriously in the air. The queen in her own kingdom receiving a visit from a duke, she thought to herself. "....I've told you specifically not to do it during the daytime hours, when just about anyone could see." Her eyes focused on Damien at this point; staring at him, she cocked her head, her purple voids that were eyes observing the sight.

"Vendo meus socius est vendo mili. To sell my partner is to sell me; in other words, you have betrayed a very important ally of mine, Damien. And when you betray an ally of Devicto Mortis, it usually does not fare well for you. Take him away," she called to three of her Mediocris Metis, who scrambled to grab Damien roughly and drag him into the cells of the Domus Tenebris. Once they had emerged into the passageway to the cave that was her home, Bern then turned to face Masakazu once again, looking him over. "Masakazu. You are a good friend of mine and a worthy ally....and yet you didn't uphold your promise, instead favoring this 'surprise' you speak of. Show me the surprise," she commanded. "It had better be useful in capturing Bismarck and Chuck Saedor."

Damien’s loud heartbeat was soon drown by second barrage of bullets effortlessly ripping through the saturated sludge above him, mere feet away from the top of his head, if he had accidentally stood up he would’ve been a dead-man but Masakazu wasn’t sparing when he came to his ammunition, hoping that some of the scolding lead would travel through the waterlogged soil and hit its mark but before he could even get halfway through the firearm jammed. Serenity became a reality as a ghostly silence took over, all but heavy-drops was hushed throughout the necropolis. All this rain was maddening, by now he sure that his wound was probably infected. Of course that’d be his luck, Damien thought rolling his eyes as he took a gander at his wound that was still managing to leak with crimson red fluid, he was certain that the bullet traveled a good length through his muscular calf but didn’t wind up going completely through his leg so he had only one hole to deal with, additionally the rate of blood-flow wasn’t too alarming so he had thankfully missed all of the veins that would’ve caused him to bleed out. But then again, would’ve this been a merciful ending as to what would happen next? A harmonious voice, carried by the wind made its way to the ears of the unprepared, Damien thought he was hearing things or that he had already succumbed to the fate of death and was now in purgatory listening to the eerie tone of an angel but this was no blessed creature, only thing close was the Devil wearing an oddly tailored dress. “Beautiful as ever Bernkastel! Don’t fret dear, this fellow and I were having a discussion about loyalty. As for daytime hours well uh, Ha! Traffic would’ve been complete havoc if I had waited and didn’t expect this outcome to happen.” Masakazu felt insecure when she levitated near him but slightly recoiled back with red amidst his face when he felt her digit boop the tip of his nose. Damn, this wouldn’t of happened if he caught Bismarck and his brother alone but even than it would’ve winded up being a shit-show of epic proportions.

Damien peeked out of the trench-like grave and caught a glimpse of the spectre looking mistress whose eyes felt like they had just entered his soul through the whites of his own. Once she was done speaking, three of her goons did their duties by attempting to tie him up but knowing how unwillingly compliant he was, Damien jittered about and threw a fist outward knocking out one completely cold before having the butt of a rifle smack him in the cheek, sending him straight to dreamland as he collapsed onto the wet floor beneath him before clicking a small stud on his wrist-watch before falling backwards. Masakazu felt a bit of relief when he saw the two other men dragging him away, he would’ve been a bit more of a challenge if he wasn’t disoriented from his fight with him. “Not sure why he thought he could stand any chance. C’mon, you know i didn’t have any idea that there was gonna be three gifted bastards there. That scrawny welp and his library of books were annoying enough with his brother who resembled a knock-off version of Static shock! You gotta admit that for being out numbered and only being partially synthetic that i did pretty good.” A few seconds of wiping the mud off his stained suit and he was back up onto his feet, using the gravestone behind him as leverage before he made his way to the locked doors of the backseat, worried as he unlocked the doors to reveal the two kids sitting petrified from the sight of him. He didn’t know if Bernkastel would be happy or even more disappointed. “Okay, so if you’re mad I can explain. It was impossible trying to capture the other two without killing them so I took Bismarck’s kids instead! They can be used as a bargaining chip but even better is that they have his blood! Meaning that both of them should be gifted to some extent.” Masakazu awkwardly rubbed the back of his head, hoping that he would get rid of this unnerving tension that was hovering over him like a dark cloud.
(Damien is now unconscious.)

Yozaku Ishimori
Yozaku woke up moments later, and sat up stretching his arms. Then he let out a mighty yawn looking around for Bern, he frowned."Hmm, must have had business, I should go assist her." He said turning to his cybernetic arm, and pulling up a hologramic screen. He then pulled up gpb tracking, and a map of the area was pulled up. A small dot was blinking on the map, with the word Berniepoo above it. Yozaku smiled, and jumped to his feet, walking out of the room, and towards his love. After following the map past a man who was possibly being dragged to his death, or worse, and through the cemetery. He found Bern, with Masakazu, who Yozaku had meet very few times. He walked towards them not saying a word, only standing behind Bern, his arms crossed behind his back.

Samson Hearth
Samson had been expecting a act of violence, after all the reaper was such a rash unsofisticated person. He narrowly managed to avoid the strike to the nuts, although his expression was rather surprised."How crude! You really should treat your guest with more respect! Otherwise they might burn everything you've ever cared about to ash!" He warned, his usual cool, and calm demeanor gone after such a assault. Samson wasn't partial to his human body, but he had found the perfect fit, and didn't want anyone ruining it. After a it was a hassle finding another perfect fit. He watched as Lily prepared to leave, holding his head, and sighing. She hadn't answered his questions, but he figured he had nothing better to do so he'd follow her."Oh let me join! I can give you a quick lift, I promise I won't do anything. I just want to watch," Samson said a sly look in his eyes as if he were playing with her." You know I'm only your enemy if you want me to be. I just want to resolve this time loop situation as quickly as possible."

Seeing as she was already about an hour late for work Katie decided to run through the cemetary close to the diner. Work outfit in hand she quickly worked her way through the maze of graves only to trip on one of the headstones and fall rather suddenly to the ground.

Only the ground was kind of soft and fleshy.

She looked and her eyes widened when she saw that she had fallen on top of someone. Looking around, she saw she was in a group of (very intimidating) people. In old gym shorts and a tank top.

Making a noise that could only be described as a squeak of fright, she quickly got off the man and started to ramble a bunch of nonsense (mostly apologizes and different variations of please don't kill me) while trying to better cover herself to look somewhat decent.
