Chapter 1: The Boy and His Dragon

Mitchs98

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
Today was pretty much your average day if you were just your average human or neko in hiding. Though if you were in the NPF or the ANF things would of been a little more interesting, for the past month really. You see a high profile target had escaped the ANF's clutches along with two neko's. The neko's they didn't really care that much about..at all really. No, they were much more interested in the boy. A thirteen year old by the name of Bismarck Saedor, a human who possessed powerful magic. It was quite rare for humans to have magic unless they were half neko, especially of Bismarck's caliber, so obviously the group wanted him for their own. But alas, he was too much for them to contain and so he escaped. Since then the ANF have desperately been searching for him. Recently the NPF learned of him and were trying to track him down to rescue him. Essentially they wanted him for the same reasons...though they had much less evil intentions for him.

And so our story begins on a chilly winter morning just past 9 AM, the search continuing amongst normal duties.

Bismarck Donovan Saedor, thirteen year old runaway, magical human, really hated his life. That was a revelation he had made as he woke up from the night watch, an invisibility cloak covering half of his body....which looked kind of like his head was floating in midair and it was a pretty darned scary image. But let's face it, once he stopped to add it up, his life really was the equivalent to dragon crap. And if you take care of a dragon, you'll know what I mean. Nevertheless the boy fought on daily for the two girls fast asleep in the tent, despite the ginormous target that had been painted on his back thanks to the nightmarish word.

Publicity. Ever since the rumors of a human with powers had been confirmed, poor Bismarck, a hobbit strawberry-loving, bookish thirteen-year-old, was suddenly forced into hiding and learning how to fight. Sighing, he stood up, the cloak slipping off of his body. He hastily picked it up and covered himself with it, summoning all of his energy to keep it from disappearing. Perfect. He then poked his head out of the cloak, unzipping the tent.

"....G-Good morning....we need to get breakfast and get out of here," he said softly, forcing a grin onto his tired face. Another dime, another dollar, another day on the run with his only friends, Maria and Elizabeth. Hey, on the bright side, it was also a day on the run with a drop-dead gorgeous Neko girl named Maria....Aaaand another day of hiding his feelings in a glass jar in a box in a storage container lodged deep inside of his head....gosh darn it. Thinking positive was really hard these days.

Chen had been up since three in the morning, she was high on caffeine, and she'd been bouncing off the walls for the past three hours. However, the blue-haired Usagimimi had also made several plans to find and safely bring the magical human Bismarck back to their headquarters, even babbling nonstop about how his room would look.

  Every. Last. Detail.

Admittedly, Chen's hyperactive attitude was enough to cause anyone to want to drag her off, but, hyper as she was, her heart was in the right place.

"—And then, we'll draw the ANF off using some sort of distraction, while getting the kiddos out of there safely, we'll give them a lollipop, and then they'll be safe and sound as we drive them to the HQ! The boy's room will be blue and silver and the girls will get this really cool design, you're gonna love it, I wonder if the ANF left any notes on their personalities, did the ANF leave notes on their personalities? I don't know! Ohohohoho! Someone get me more of that coffee, that new coffee machine we installed is really good! No!" Chen stopped the poor secretary who was about to pour her coffee, then spoke with a deadpan expression. "Make it six. I'm on a roll. A CINNAMON ROLL! Oh, aren't you excited?" she chirped, shaking one of her officers with an excited expression. "Children are coming here! And not just any children—" She dragged the same officer so they were shoulder-to-shoulder, still smiling eagerly. "Children with targets painted on their backs!"

John awoke with a start, as he sits up in his seat. That was normal; he only went home once in a blue moon, but what was weird to him was the fact Chen was running around like a headless henchman. He didn't mind Chen as his commander, as she was a decent enough tactician (unless Fem says otherwise, I'm just saying things to establish John in the world), but he could've asked for better. She has a good heart, he always thought, but there was something else...the way she carried on sometimes. It was like life was a game to her; that the prejudice against their kind didn't matter all too much to her. No matter, a job is a job, and I guess he can't expect everyone to be like him when it came to his job.

Speaking of which, it'll be time for his new assignment right about now. After drinking his morning glass of bourbon while watching out of the frosted windows at the hustle of morning life, he lights one of his cigars and goes to find his boss. After all, a minute wasted might mean a life lost.

Mitsuo Chishu

Hanging the diamond-coated bat on his belt and putting on his uniform vest, the tiny Neko officer closes his locker, finally making his way to the mission planning room. If the boy was late it was all pre-calculated and intentional. It's not that Mitsuo dislikes his job, it is exactly the opposite, but he could never get used to how hyperactive Ma'am Hua-Ling was. It just seemed so out of character for the leader of a police force to be that giddy and, despite it being less by now, it still annoyed him in some way.
Thus, since he was already aware of the situation at hand, the Neko boy had decided to take a while longer to get ready for action, and hopefully, cut by half the amount of rambling he would have to hear from their leader. In all respect, hearing details about anything other than the task at hand just seemed completely pointless to him.

Mitsuo had arrived two hours ago, earlier than even his shift, to finish up some reports he had almost crossed the deadlines of. To be honest, the operation reports weren't even his, but of some of his co-workers that chose going out after work hours, instead of staying and writing those. They had requested him to cover for them. Heh, he would definitely request the favor back later.

On his way to the meeting room, the tiny officer passes by a possible co-worker and nods to him in a respectful greeting. Mitsuo isn't one to say unnecessary words and dwells silently in the room right after. There he finds Ma'am Hua-Ling -already monologuing endlessly-, the clerk/assistant girl and a couple of other officers. Judging by some of their puzzled expressions, the important part of the meeting hasn't started, which means he arrived just on time. Good.
The tiny Neko makes his way to a seat right in the middle of the room and sits down, half paying attention to the last of the leader's speech:

"Ah-Ah. They're really starting it early this time~", he thought while watching the secretary struggle about something, "In this line of work, it's never an uneventful day..."

@The Fabulous Emerald (Acknowledging your presence, tho briefly >w<)

Sinead Coghlan

Three hours later and Miss Chen still hadn't dropped the coffee. She wouldn't dare say it, but Sinead was getting a little worried about her boss' caffeine intake at this point. Didn't those things cause heart attacks or something like that? The Inu could swear she had read that information on the newspaper once. Since she slept in the Headquarters, the secretary/assistant/mascot had been awakened by the leader's commotion and had jumped off her makeshift bed almost instantly.
The two of them had been in this meeting room since 6:30 AM, Miss Chen gleaming with energy from the various cups of coffee Sinead had brought on request, and occasionally chatting with her. Sinead herself hadn't really done much other than bringing food and listen quietly. It's not like she was capable of helping anyway...

Later on, the place started filling with NPF people as was usual. Though, from what she had been hearing all morning, today's mission didn't seem like it would be an unusual day. Oh, she hoped it wouldn't be too dangerous... At the mention of children, however, Sinead had widened her eyes in wonderment. She loved kids!!! OH! Since she practically lived in the building, perhaps they would add babysitting to her list of chores? N-not that she had a problem with that! Actually, it could be a nice change of pace!
Chen kept on talking about room decorations and what-not, meanwhile, the Inu had started daydreaming, thrown back to her happy orphanage childhood days, before her life had turned chaotic... Being a kid was so good!! SO PEACEFUL~~
And then she heard it again, the word 'coffee'. Snapping out of her thoughts, Sinead quickly let out a 'Yes Ma'am!'; and turned around to leave for the coffee machine... Only to hear a 'no' right after and stop mid-step. The girl turned around, ears slightly down, now looking at the boss lady in confusion:

"N-no?", she tilted her head, unsure of what her orders were.

The new request of Miss Chen only made her more puzzled. For a while, there was silence, as the girl pondered what to do... And then she spoke up again:

"...I...uhhhh... S-sorry Ma'am,  I don't...really understand...", the girl trailed off in embarrassment, "Is your request for six more cups of coffee or...Six cinnamon rolls?? I don't think we have any of these, BUT I could certainly travel to a bakery and bring you some if that's your wish!"

As John smokes in the corridors, watching for the smoke detectors (he always knew when to smoke. That's situational awareness for you.) as he puffed out, one of his colleagues pass him. Which one was he...the bumbling fool with the bat...ah yes, of course. Mitsuo.

Not wanting to appear rude, he simply nods back as he walks towards the conference room. He flattens out some of the creases on his blue, pin-striped suit before he enters the room. Sleeping on your chair will do that to you.

Kasper laid there, his back firmly stretched across a couch within the Head Quarters canteen, the male Neko oblivious to what was going on elsewhere in the room and outside. Aside from the standard sets of tables and chairs that you would regularly find in a canteen, this room held a small area to relax in, a set of sofa's where the NPF could sit and relax on those rare days where something wasn't amiss. Just beyond this small corner, there was also a large vending machine; the contents being a wide array of beverages, many of which were milk based. Kasper never really saw the point of having a vending machine, given that he and probably a few others had methods of circumventing the need to pay for their drink; essentially it was no better then a fridge, especially since Kasper had no trouble grabbing a few drinks for himself.

Three cans of soda were unceremoniously placed just beside the couch; just to the side of where Kasper was, two of them having fallen over to their side and the third still half full. Though, Kasper doubted he would finish the contents.. given that it was most likely warm by now; warm soda never did taste as good. Having lost interest in wasting the time via drinking, the Neko had to resort to more inventive ways to pass the time, thus explaining the large shadowy hand just adjacent to him. The hand was formed via the shadow underneath the sofa, its long thin and almost transparent construct stretching from within the darkness. It gave a whole new literal meaning to the phrase 'a monster hiding beneath the bed' yet what that arm was currently doing was far from monstrous. Within its grip were a set of bells, the same bells Kasper once had attached to his choker from his time masquerading as a slave. Given the wealth of his former master, the bells themselves held high value, having been constructed out of pure gold and silver, one bell per color. He held one arm behind his head, using it as a makeshift pillow whilst his right leg was crossed over his left, the ideal position of comfort; at least it was for Kasper. His free hand however continued to rise and lower, as he clawed away at the 'prize' beyond his reach.

The shadowy hand continued to stretch and retract over time, constantly teasing Kasper as it firmly held the bells just out of arm's reach. At times it would shorten holding the small ornament before Kasper's face only to suddenly stretch and hoist it far beyond the lazy Neko's grasp, a game to pass the time and to momentarily keep Kasper preoccupied.. otherwise given his position on the couch it was more than likely that he would have dozed off.  As he continued to taunt himself with this parlor trick, his eyes fell upon the clock that hung on the wall before him, the two hands signalling that the supposed conference call was about to start soon; the mere thought of which caused Kasper to grimace ever so slightly. These things were often long, boring, tedious and sometimes even sleep inducing. Kasper sighed, flicking his fingers and ceasing the flow of magic towards the shadowy hand, the act of doing so causing the bells to drop.

"Gotcha-Nya" yawned Kasper, who proceeded to pocket his toy and roll over to one side; so that his face was now buried into the back of the sofa. If he had to choose a place to fall asleep in, he would much rather do it here.

(Sorry for the short post)

Lucia wasn't the least bit surprised that she was able to hear the good ole captain, so hyper in the morning, from down the hall. Her ears folded down as entered the room where the others were currently gathered and she looked towards their hyperactive leader. 'How can she be so cute yet so crazy at the same time?' Lucia placed a hand on Sinead's shoulder and gave her comforting smile, "No more coffee for the captain, okay? In all honesty, she loved how excited Chen was whenever they received a new mission that caught her full attention. She lightly patted the shorter girls head before going into a mock salute towards Chen. "General Lucia reporting for duty Captain Chen! What are our new orders and you really need to chill with the caffeine. The day was a peaceful day in the ANF headquarters aside from a raging Phnira in her office wondering just how Bismark and those other neko escaped. Phnira pinched her nose as she was finishing reading the mass of reports on her desk detailing sightings and angry letters from her superiors. Wondering just why did she accept this job being the leader of the ANF, and thinking they should've just killed those two neko that accompanied Bismarck and no doubt had a hand of helping him escape. She got up out of her chair and called for a meeting of all ANF officers there was a sighting in an alleyway. Phnira wasn't in all too quick a mood as she was sure the kid had probably left the site already and it was only a matter of time before they'd pick up on the kids trail. She walked over to the ANF briefing room waiting for the rest of her team to show up while insistently tapping her finger on a desk.

Maxwell yawned as he entered the front doors of the ANF office still tired from a late night at the strip club, his eyes bloodshot and the smell of tequila on his breath.

He paused noticing the looks of everyone inside the office. Oh great, boss lady is on the warpath......again. He was about to sit down when one of his soldier's cleared their throats as they shook their heads before her king a thumb towards the briefing room.

"All you buddy" He said with a smirk making Maxwell grumble loudly.

"Nope your getting a promotion right now. Your in charge" Maxwell snarked leaning back in his chair.

"With all do respect sir....no" The soldier smiled as we went to checking his rifle.

With another groan he made his way inside the briefing room. "Well morning boss lady...." He plopped down in one of the chairs then kicked his feet up on the table. "If this is about that human runt gettin out I don't see why it concerns me, you should take it up with that little fireball of a jailor Scarlett. I'm just the exterminator"

Chen's nose twitched when she heard Sinead ask about cinnamon rolls, chuckling and shaking her head. "I'm good on the cinnamon rolls, I just need more coffeeeeeeee!" she practically sang, leaping up onto the table and spinning around a couple times. "But now that you mention it, some cinnamon rolls would be nice, Sinead....of course, if it's too much for you to carry, I could always help," she added, trying not to look as though she was starving or something. Lucia, one of the other members, entered, asking about her orders; Chen, still standing on the table, automatically saluted her fellow officer, grinning playfully.

"We've got tons to do, actually!" she gushed, pulling out a ginormous file folder and opening it up. "Okay, we have to find this child before the ANF finds him, so basically we're in a very interesting race against the ANF, I think, I dunno, something like that, but either way!" The Usagimimi snapped her head up to look at her comrades once more, still looking slightly high on caffeine but definitely determined. "Going against the ANF or not, human or not, there are three children somewhere out there that are in danger. The girls, the boy, all three of them need to be rescued before something bad happens, and we need to make them feel as welcome as possible! Have we got a room set up for each of them? Food? Blankets? Something to make them feel as though they're right at home?" Chen began, thinking of what to say next. "So, we need a search party, we need medics in case they come to us injured or sick, and we need to pay attention to their reported sightings--coffeeeeeeeee, please gimme coffee, Sinead...." she suddenly begged, grabbing Sinead's arm. "Pleeeeeaaase? I'll be your personal heater for a week, no a month! I'll give you coffee tomorrow! Pleeeeeeaaase?"

Well. At least she'd been serious. If not only for a millisecond.

Zuria was within her own office, except one thing was different. She had the blinds on the large windows drawn shut and the door locked with herself sitting in what could appear to be a rather awkward position although it was the only way she could sit comfortably. The reason? She had lowered her cloak for the first time in two weeks, the  task of keeping it stable having been more than taxing upon the woman. And it's as clearly showing considering the bags beneath her tired eyes and less than excitable mood. Her long tail was wound around and draping off the front of the chair seeing as there wasn't a hole in the back while her ears rested upon the top of her head. A meeting just had been called and she needed to show, however it was much too tempting to allow the shroud of bliss the situation brought to linger a moment or two longer.

A minute or two later, she finally worked up the nerve to allow her cloak to be repurposed once more, sighing bitterly as it did so. Zuria would then stand and move to the door, swiftly unlocking the exit and making her way towards the meeting room where the others were already waiting.

Virgil snored one more time as his head jerked up and he looked around. "Huh? Wait where am......" he realized he was in the armory, all the fire arms shiny and sparkling clean from his night of maintenance. "Oh man....nothing is more beautiful than the sight of a freshly cleaned gun...." smiling to himself he sat up on the bench that had been his makeshift bed for the night. "Well hopefully the captain won't mind that I fell asleep in here again...." he said with a large yawn.

Getting up he stretched, the sound of multiple bones and ligaments popping as the oxygen was released. He even grabbed his tail and pulled in various places as it too popped, "oh yeah....now that felt good..."

Walking out of he armory and locking it behind him he can already hear the voices of his fellow officers. This brought a smile to his face, punctuality was one of the things he could respect in his fellow officers, and more so when they care for their weapon. Although no one did it better than Virgil. Continuing his walk he noticed officers piling into the briefing room ( @Necessity4Fun >.> ) and trudged along as well, grabbing a lolli from his desk and placing it into his mouth, walking in and hanging in the back of the room, where all the cool cats hung.....and also to avoid being noticed.

"-and zat is why ze demoralizing factor of putting apprehended Nekos in little Lolita dresses should be considered more valuably in ze line of apprehension."

Veronica cackled as she turned from the board which had things projected onto it and faced the crowd of ANF grunts "Any questions mein wonderful little associates?"

The crowd of helmetless men and women sat in the dark room and simultaneously tried interpreting the extensive calculations which basically turned the entire board into a maze of mathematics. Several gazes were leveled at the exceedingly tall woman who stood beside said board with a massive grin as she tapped her fingers together expectantly.

One grunt raised his hand.

"Ah! Sir Edmund?" Veronica nodded to him

"The hell did we need to sit through this for?" he asked, backed up by several more groans of annoyance

The Quartermaster scoffed "Mein friends, please! Obviously I need ze support of a proper number of associates working within zis fine little organization. Ze heart of any business is in ze common laborer it employs!"

"But this is almost as stupid as those 'special cuffs' you suggested last week." another grunt muttered

The tall woman gasped as if she'd been shot "Ze Tri-ex would've revolutionized apprehension! If people would just look past its appearance zen-"

"I don't care how good those things work and whatnot, bondage straps are still bondage straps." another grunt insisted as several others confirmed this

Veronica turned away from the crowd of disgruntled ANF grunts and placed the back of her palm against her forehead "Alas, it would seem ze vision of ze artist is once again shunned by her very own colleagues. Woe upon me!"

"Oh my god is she doing that thing again?"

"Is ze curse of ignorance so strong zat even mein friends," Veronica fell to her knees and gave several sniffles as she subtly reached into her coat, a quick press of a button later and a single one of the room's lights came on and shined upon her "my dearest friends would shun ze very future I present to zem?"

"No! She was at this for three hours last time! Somebody do something!!!"

"And as my dream wastes away in ze din of ze coming moon I find my spirit growing weary!" She gazed at the board behind her with glistening tears in her eyes "Without ze bliss of a true Gothic Lolita dress implicated into our mandates, surely I shall perish and-!"

Then the announcement came, calling all agents to the briefing room. Veronica stood immediately and placed a finger to her chin "Ze boss requires the help of little ol' me?" her massive grin returned "Surely zis revolves around ze escape of those two beautiful, delectable monsters and ze one hideous freak! Oh goodie goodie!"

To the relief of the grunts, Veronica practically dashed out the door whilst grabbing her rifle which had been leaned against its frame.

Minutes later she entered the briefing room grandly, literally gesturing widely with her arms as her long legs carried her in.

"Good morning, mein comrades!" Veronica exclaimed whilst gesturing to those already inside "I am delighted to lend all of La Croix's generous assistance in re-apprehending those deviously delicious devils and hopefully executing zat ugly thing zat followed zem around and such!"

John steps forward out of the shadows of the back corner, still smoking his cigar, which was nearly used up now, and drinking his bourbon.

"Well, where were they last seen? I'll need all the information you have."

Chen may have been addressing the whole team, but it's more likely than not that John would take it up. After all, finding things is what he does.

Maxwell was leaning his chair back, a little too far when Veronica came into the room in her ever so grandiose and eccentric way. The sudden increase in activity made his push a little too far back bring the chair flipping over on top of him.

"Damnt woman....can you not for once enter a room like a normal human being?" He struggled to free himself from his chair cursing all the while before managing to stand back up.

"Bloody Germans" He sat the chair back upright before going to massage his temples. "Boss do not team me with her today....please my poor hungover brain can't take the effort of trying to translate everything her pyscho self says"

Maria and Elizabeth Jones

Maria and her sister had been wary of trusting a human initially, after all humans were the bad people and the reason they were even captured in the first place. But in the end Bismarck had broken them all out and stayed with them ever since, so they were both glad they did. Especially Maria who had quickly developed a crush on the boy. The past month had been trying for sure, what with them constantly having to be on the run and what not, constantly worrying if they'd wake up in a cell or not even wake up at all. That had basically been their life every day since their escape, though...it was better than being prisoner by the ANF.

Currently the two were asleep curled up next to each other in the tent peacefully asleep as Bismarck watched over them, given there were actually three of them it wasn't so bad. They often rotated who watched out while the other two slept. When Bismarck spoke Maria yawned quietly and looked up, "Good morning." She told him with a small smile. She then gently shook her sister awake...who was rather tightly gripping her tail. "Liz, ow, wake up.." She whined. She repeated her shaking until she finally woke up and let go of her tail, which she soon cloaked to get ready for the day. Elizabeth yawned and stretched before sitting up and starting to pack up their things. "Morning..." She mumbled tiredly. Maria stood to help, giving Bismarck a cheerful smile. "Anything out of the ordinary happen today Bizzy?" She asked.

@Mitchs98

Bismarck couldn't help but wince when he saw how Elizabeth was tightly gripping Maria's tail; that looked pretty painful, but hey, they were all awake now. He was naturally a little fascinated by the cloaking; even though all Nekos could do it, from his standpoint, it was actually pretty cool. If he could just do that thing rather than have to use an invisibility cloak, life would be so much easier. However, he was good with the resources he had, fortunately.

"ANF-wise....no sightings," he answered, stepping outside and beginning to cover up the fire pit from last night. The half-burnt wood melted into one large log; Bismarck then pushed that log away, kicking the rocks so that they were far from each other. The remaining ashes he patted snow onto. Admiring his work, he stood back, looking back at the tent. "......I-In other news, the town nearby has a really good grocery store." The child took off his cloak, revealing what he had kept hidden; a plastic grocery bag. Inside was a box of hot chocolate packets, another of oatmeal packets, three bags of dried fruit, and chamomile tea. "....Th-The security there was lax, too....then again, I was wearing the cloak that way nobody could see me....still, it's a bit of a disadvantage in winter.....footprints...." he mumbled, putting the bag down.

There was a short pause as Bismarck thought for a moment; his thoughts usually drifted like this, sometimes to his past, and it was a little painful for the boy. Whenever he reached this state of mind, he was especially susceptible to—

Without thinking, he leaned on Maria, probably from exhaustion; however, a fountain of terrifying memories shot up, hitting him in the face. The boy winced once again, and, unable to focus, hugged the younger girl. He didn't speak from there on out, only able to try and calm himself, then after a minute realized what he was doing. His cheeks turned a light shade of pink; he quickly let go of Maria, suddenly unable to hold eye contact with her without flowers and hearts and flying strawberries appearing in his vision.

  "S-S-S-So! Um....yeah! Let's....let's....uh....get ready....for another....d-da-day....!"

The Quartermaster quirked an eye towards her boss momentarily before spinning towards Maxwell. Leaning dangerously on her musket, the tall woman pouted in his direction "How cruel Herr Sandless! To think zat my generous assistance to apprehend ze criminalistic cuties would be met with such blatant negativity! Woe as me!"

She seemed to get over it quickly, because soon she was staring into the non-existent distance as wind came from literally nowhere to breeze through her hair for dramatic effect "But how may I possibly curb my enthusiasm, herr Sandless? When such adorable delinquents have been taken from us... Probably hungry from all ze hiding, not a scrap of food in zose precious little bellies. Cold from ze lack of proper Lolita dresses to hug zose tiny curves! Suffering at ze hands of zat monster who took zem from us!!!"

Veronica gnawed on her gloved-thumb angrily as she growled "Despicable Damon...."

Soon she turned on their leader with her hands clenched together as she begged "Fraulein Iscara, I care not who retrieves our lost lambs as long as my toys may assist in reacquiring zem!"

She paused for several seconds as if she forgo something, before sighing and nonchalantly adding "...okay, zat und killing ze little pissant who dare take our pets from us."

Lucia took in all of the information given to her by Chen and became immediately interested in the prospect of a good ole hunt for these kids. Her expression changed drastically at the mention of a human boy being with the girls as her own past regretfully flashed into her mind. A small blue ember had appeared a few feet from her unknowingly. It took a considerable amount of will power to quell her anger enough to appear as if everything was okay. "Well this sounds like a fun babysitting mission to go on. Do you have the people in mind that will go on this mission?" His mind was wrapped around where the hell that suddenly well timed gust of wind came from. Looking around to no avail he turned his attention back to his not so stable Coworker....but then again he couldn't think of a single stable individual that worked here.

Just Veronica was on a different playing field, on a different state......and on a different planet.

He groaned as he turned back to Veronica who was now on her knees in front of the boss. "Now what the hell are you doing?" He said rubbing his temples. "I can't take this anymore....I'm messed up but your just.....you"

He sat back down and moved a seat out next to him for her. "Oh and Chandless....ch....and....less. Not fucking sandless you crazed nazi." He made a cha sound for her several times. "Now say it the right wa.....wait" He held up his hand realizing he was going to open Pandora's box and she would never shut up. "Kamerad is fine" He said faking a slight accent.

"Augh...merde!"

John was about to a final puff of his cigar when he felt a sharp heat at his foot - an all-too-familiar blue flame was heating up near his leather shoes. A disappointed sigh escapes his lips as he instinctively pats it out with his foot.

"Sigh...I'm sure we'd all get along nicer if we all weren't burnt to death, Lucia, no?"

Maria and Elizabeth Jones

Maria sighed gently as Bismarck confirmed no ANF had been nearby. "Good." She replied with a small smile. Soon enough between the two twins the inside of their small camp was packed up and it just left the tent. When grocery store was mentioned Maria perked up. That usually meant Bismarck stole them some food, usually nice food. Though any food worked just fine when you barely had anything to eat. "Food?" She asked immediately after, tilting her head curiously. She grinned when she saw the bag knowing full well he did have stuff for them. "Awesome! Good job Bizzy!" She told him cheerfully. She popped out of the tent, immediately followed by Elizabeth, and started to take it down.

When he leaned on her she blinked, smiling wide when he actually hugged her. She of course smiled and hugged him back gently nuzzling against him and purring softly. She giggled when he scrambled away after realizing what he was doing like he usually almost always did. She nodded in agreement with him, "We should eat part of the fruit then hit the road." She said. "I know you're hungry and Liz is, 'cause I definitely am." She said. "Soo food first, then we leave. C'mon and sit." She added, laying out one of the sleeping bags and sitting on it. She'd just repack it later.

Chen noticed the flames that appeared at Lucia's feet after the mention of one of the kids being human, and how John had to pat out said flames. The Usagimimi placed a hand on her hip, only to squeak and grab her head after being karate-chopped. "Heyyy, I need my coffee!" she whined, rubbing her head; her ears flopped down and she glowered at Lucia. No fair. She did, rather begrudgingly, continue to explain.

"Yeahhhh, I know that one of them is a human, but if it's a human child who's run from the ANF, I don't think that he'll try to kill us all. We'll have to keep a close watch on him once we get him. Rescue team-wise....." She thought for a moment, then sweatdropping, realized she hadn't thought of that. "I.....uh.....don't know. I think that anyone who volunteers to can, as long as they're aware of the risks. Yeah, that seems pretty fair."

D-D-Did sh-she purr? Bismarck's face went a much brighter shade of pink than before as he recalled that, his eyes meeting with Maria's as she spoke to him. And then it happened. It was raining hearts (in fact, hearts were everywhere), everything was all sparkly, and whatever Maria was saying was muffled due to the cheerful strumming of a guitar. At least, that was what Bismarck saw. What he looked like was a different story; just staring at Maria, wide-eyed and blushing, before walking over and slumping down on the sleeping bag next to her and holding up one of the bags of dried fruit.

Come on, Bismarck. Say something clever. Something impressive. Something—

"I like strawberries," he said automatically, followed by a cringe. Nope, that was awful. He passed the fruit to Maria, then some to Liz, taking one piece for himself and eating it slowly. "...........S-S-Sorry.....that sounded pretty stupid.......didn't it....."

Lucia's faced turned a bright crimson and she nervously began smooth the fur on her ears, "Ahhh, sorry for that happening John. Again." This wasn't the first time that her powers tend to follow her emotions and be pretty unstable. It still pisses her that she doesn't know how to fully control her magic after so many years since the incident. She gave John a sheepish smile and was grateful that John was pretty easy-going. 'Looks like this choker can only restrain my magic to an extent.' A hand absentmindedly went up to feel the gem that had grown quite hot from restraining her. The vixen looked at the now pouting Chen and smirked, "You know that I didn't even hit you that hard Chen. Back to business, there's only one thing I need to know. Do we have your lovely permission to go all out for this mission?"  It has been a while since Lucia was allowed to go wild and remove the choker in order to complete a mission. Granted, the last time she removed it an area of city was forced to remodel after the blaze made it unsafe for anything to live in or enter any of the buildings. In Lucia's defense, she thought the metal within the buildings would withstand her fire and not melt.
