    One might think that Ella Reed always had it all. The wealthy family, best schools, popular friends, hot boyfriend… But it was all just a pretty package on everything that was fucked up. When she was born, her parents were not overly excited as any other parents would be. They only had a child because it was expected of them. The second Ella was born, they handed her over to nannies and barely paid attention to her.
    
    In her early years, Ella was confused, knowing that all kids had mommy and daddy and she, although having them too, barely saw them. They only met during dinners at long dining table. Mom on one end, dad on the other and little Ella in the middle. She knew something was wrong but was too young to name it.
    
    As she was growing up, Ella started to understand what was happening. Her parents were simply not interested. They gave her anything she might want and even extra if she asked. Of course, teenage Ella abused it as much as she could. But all she ever really wanted was attention. She wanted people to see her. That’s why she flashed around the family money, trying to buy affection from her friends and her popularity. No wonder she became the queen at the middle school. People liked having her around. It was profitable.
    
    But under the rustling of the greens, no one noticed the pain. Ella’s heart was slowly but surely turning into stone and she became known as the Wild Child. According to her own words, if people didn’t really like her for her, why should she bother and like them for real?
    
    But what she really wanted was attention from her parents. No matter how old she was, Elijah and Lilith Reed simply did their own things, leading the family business, and didn’t care what was happening to their daughter. Ella started her fight for their affection with piercings. First it was easy, just ears, then nose, and a few more. Later she added tattoos, as many as she could. But that also never got her anywhere. Before, she was doing it all, was on her way to become a class president, was one of the popular cheerleaders, had the seat at the popular rich kids table and she quit it all, throwing it away like a dirty rag. And this whole time, only one question kept nagging at the back of her head. Why did her parents not like her? What did she ever do to them?
    
    The summer before her senior year, Ella’s rebellion peaked. She started to party harder than ever, drink and smoke beyond the limit and drugs were not something she avoided. On a few occasions, the police brought her home and only the family name helped to ensure that she was not charged with DUI or possession or anything else. Ella was simply desperate and didn’t know how else to force her parents to notice her.
    
    And that was when she cut herself. Sitting on the white marble floor in the large hallway of the Reed mansion, Ella sat down and slid the razor blade across her left forearm in three places. For a while, she watched the blood stain the snow white floor but soon, her eyes started to flutter and she fainted. Her maid found her in a puddle of her own blood and called the ambulance. Ella spent a few days in hospital and was sent to the therapy. All within one summer, three months of desperately trying. And seeing that even after the most stupid of attempts to get what she wanted the most nothing changed, she gave up. Her folks didn’t want her enough? Fine, she was going to find her own crowd. This time, she changed her dresses for a leather jacket for real, her eyeliner got thicker, lipstick darker and the real Wild Child was born. Ella entered her senior year at the Briarwood High with an intention to party her way to the diploma. She only had one life and her brief encounter with death only proved it.
    
    Everything that she used to cherish didn’t mean a thing now. Ella saw through that veil, she started to understand how shallow her former world was. Fuck the popularity, fuck all those bitches, fuck the pretentious fame. She became her own person, guided by her own rules. Maybe not the right ones.     BACKSTORY.

    
    
    

    Jackson comes from a big family and only has older brothers. If one said that the Romeros were a military family, they would not be exactly wrong. Their dad, now retired, was a general of the US Marines and led all his sons to follow that path, or at least the similar one. His three older sons absolutely did, joining the army right after they graduated from the Briarwood High. But then there was Jackson.
    
    Jax was always the odd one in his family. The black sheep. He was not as athletic or muscular as his brothers before. His greatest interests were comic books and fantasy movies. He was the first in the family to even wear glasses. But since following in his father’s and brothers’ footsteps was essential and even inevitable, Jamie tried out for the football team. Safe to say that this attempt ended with a fiasco and got Jack even more of the unwanted attention.
    
    There were many interests to be pursued of the youngest Romero and he was always very passionate about everything he loved. However, none of his interests were exactly sports related. After the unsuccessful football try-outs, his dad decided that the kid needed to be strengthened, body and spirit. And so he signed him up for the gym and boxing classes. It was a nightmare and Jax hated every single second spent in that place. It was there where he developed his fear of flying objects, meaning, he started to hate when something was closer to his face than he would appreciate. It didn’t take long and Jax quit.
    
    At first, he didn’t tell his dad and pretended to go for three more months. Instead, he spent his days in a comic book shop, organized movie marathons, small local comicons, D&D games. He was always a ball of energy and needed to hit it out but in the right place. And that was his own fantasy world. Jax was always the kid to walk in, have an awkward dad joke at hand and just make the room brighter with his optimism and laughter. And once he discovered singing and that he was actually pretty good, he secretly started his lessons while still lying about going to the gym.
    
    Unfortunately, his father was not exactly satisfied with how his youngest son turned out. He wanted a fighter, a soldier and instead, he got a geeky boy who was more interested in tapping the keyboard than fighting for his country. Nothing could actually convince him to see Jackson in a different light. To him, his world was never worthy of attention and his interests definitely not something his son was supposed to master. Being ashamed that not all his sons managed to hit that high level set for them, he decided to ignore the fact he had a fourth son. Especially after he found out about Jackson’s singing ambitions. From that moment on, the homophobic asshole his father was, he considered Jax a homosexual and used the offensive “f” word to call him all the time. He would never understand where the truth lied and Jax never had the strength to fight him so he decided to just let his father believe whatever the man needed to believe in. At the very least, it got him off of Jackson’s back.
    
    Only his mother remained on Jackson’s side and made sure that Jackson could stay in school and finish his studies. Unlike his dad, she was proud of who he had become and supported him at all costs. Spending so much time pursuing his own interests and being berated by his father and brothers did a number on a poor guy and his insecurities were always hitting him hard. But he rarely shows that and hides his pain behind that wide smile and pranks he loves to pull. Sure, he still has days when he has to run for his life if he does not want to end up in a dumpster.   Nicole St. Claire was, to put it nicely, a mistake. At the age of 17 her mother Monica found herself pregnant and kicked out of her parents’ house. At first she sought refuge with her then on again, off again boyfriend who was a freshmen at a community college, but by the time Nicole was born, the man who fathered her was no longer in the picture. Luckily, Monica’s great aunt Ginny took in the young mother and her newborn child, raising both Monica and Nicole until Ginny’s passing when Nicole was 5. With no children of her own, Aunt Ginny left the house and a small sum of money to Monica.
  
  While Monica loved her daughter dearly and had the best intentions to raise her as well as she could, Monica’s parenting style left some to be desired. As Nicole grew up, Monica treated her more like a friend or younger sister than a daughter, and was pretty lax with rules and responsibility. With Monica often bringing home different men she was dating, Nicole never had a father figure in her life, and soon began seeking attention from her male classmates instead. Rather than fight against her classmates and their quick judgements, Nicole decided to own her new role as the class harlot to take away everyone’s power to belittle her. Through the years Nicole has dated a collection of athletes from the school football, soccer, and basketball teams, though never for very long. Despite her reputation as a man eater, Nicole has found a place amongst the school’s popular crowd. On the contrary, most of the guys break things off with her when they realize she’s not just going to jump in bed with them right away. Of course, the guys don’t want to admit that they weren’t able to score with Nicole, so they lie and only perpetuate the rumors further. While Nicole has never lied and claimed to be something she’s not, she hasn’t done anything to clear her name or reveal the truth either.   CJ was born to a loving couple who very much wanted to grow a large family together. Unfortunately, despite ten years of trying, Mr. and Mrs. Barron’s dreams of having a house full of children were put to rest, and they accepted the fact that Barron would be their one and only son. While CJ was an unruly child even from a young age, the Barrons loved him and did what they could to support their unconventional son. Perhaps it was the pressure of being an only child and the sole focus of his parents... Or perhaps it was that he knew even at a young age that his parents wanted other kids and believed that was because he wasn’t good enough... whatever the reason, CJ loved and felt compelled to act out. Parent teacher conferences always ended in tears, team sports were a nonstarter, and any valuables the Barrons owned had to be locked away or else risk being burned, pawned off or destroyed in one of CJ’s fits of anger.
  
  Rock bottom was hit early in 8th grade though when CJ was thought to be responsible for a fire at his middle school that desolated the football team’s playing field and bleachers. Unable to prove that CJ was involved though, the school expelled him for being caught with weed in his locker instead. Having ditched most of his classes that year, CJ was forced to repeat 8th grade at another school in the neighboring town. To help CJ deal with whatever he was going through that made him such a loose cannon, his parents tried sending him to therapy before high school.

  Therapy helped teach CJ to better control his impulses and channel them into something more constructive. Though constructive is used loosely here, since his outlet became graffiti. CJ made it through the first three years of high school without burning down the school, but spent many afternoons in detention and had his fair share of suspensions for tagging the school. Determined to escape the system, CJ is doing just enough in his classes to get passing grades so he can graduate in the spring. He hangs with the stoners of the school usually, but mostly uses them for drug hookups more than friendship.   CJ has matured over the years, managing to learn some self control over his impulses and desire for destruction. Nowadays he is more a danger to himself than to society, though he still finds his way into his fair share of trouble. More than anything though, he has wised up and learned how to not get caught for the things he does.

Even though Cassie came out of her mother with platinum blonde hair just like Cole had, her 'father' took one look at her and knew she wasn't his. The secret was out, and the stress on the marriage was too much. Any childhood memories Cassie has are of her parents fighting.

Cole was your typical big brother-- the first to torment, but also the first to protect. He didn't mind that Cassie wasn't his full sister, especially not at that age. He would let her into his room when their parents were fighting, where they'd just hang out or she'd watch him play video games and all. If she ever needed to go to someone, he was there for her, but that didn't mean he wouldn't pick fun at her too, or tease her like older brothers do.

And then the incident happened. Cassie was eleven, just starting the process of becoming a woman when she and Cole lost both of their parents. Throughout the years, Cole's fathers drinking had gotten to a very unmanageable point. Cassie's dad was never even in the picture, and their mother stopped caring about her marriage a few years back. The fights had just gotten worse, and this night it was particularly nasty. But when Cassie and Cole heard the two gunshots, they just knew.

And sure enough, when they went to investigate, both of their parents lay dead on the ground in a murder suicide. Cassie fell to the ground by her mother, wanting to bring her back. Cole was the one who called 911, and they were taken away to live with their aunt and uncle, who had three kids of their own. Cassie immediately felt as though she didn't fit in; the fact that she didn't share the same father as Cole wasn't a secret within the family, and even though Cole melded with them perfectly, she did not.

So she just started to focus on herself. She could tell that Cole felt torn, but she encouraged him to do what he wanted, whether it was at school, at home, or wherever. She could take care of herself. She threw herself into her schoolwork and even a few extracurriculars. She loves to dance and sing, and is forever scribbling in her journal. Now seventeen, she's a senior at Briarwood High, and just wants to escape the place she doesn't belong.

Bio:
Coleson Blake was born first in the Blake family, his sister coming along a few months later, the product of an affair had by their mother. Even from a young age, Cole never cared that she was only technically his half sister. To him, she was his sister no matter what, and he wanted to be the best big brother he could be. At least, that was the promise his two year old self made his mother once, before things got too be too bad.

The fighting between their parents just got worse the older the siblings got. Cole would always pull Cassie into his room and just let her hang out in there while he played video games or listened to music or whatever. In fact, music became a bonding point for them, and they were continuously coming up with new songs for the other to listen to. Cole was never a dancer, but Cassie clearly had rhythm from the jump.

He was twelve when it happened. The fighting reached a breaking point, and they both heard the gunshots. He told Cassie to stay, but of course she didn't, and he still remembers her screaming as she tried to rock their mother back to life. With shaking hands, he dialed 911 and the siblings were taken away to live with their aunt, uncle, and three cousins. They accepted Cole from the beginning, but Cassie was the odd ball out, even though he tried to include her as well.

This caused the siblings to drift apart some, because she encouraged him to pursue his dreams and not worry about her. He always did, though, even when he was out doing his own thing. But he gave her the freedom to become who she wanted to be, and always stood up for her when the bullying started. At least, if he saw it. Starting in high school, though, he did get wrapped up in his own life and wasn't around as much, though they still share a love for music.
