Khariton
The site of a dying Russian community left to rot after the nearby Soviet navel base was abandoned. The nuclear submarines rusting, and rotting.
Cold. Isolated. Forgotten.
But there is something else in Khariton. Something that predates the mysterious circle of stones on the clifftop.
Something that is at last waking, hunting and killing.
Can an exhausted and wounded Organization squad stay alive long enough to learn the truth, and prevent a new cold war?
And can they trust their Russian counterparts who are also on the scene?
The clock is ticking.
What is CASE FILE: COLD HEART?
Cold Heart is a small experimental RP and takes place in the same universe as BEING HUMAN, with a focus on the Organization - the mysterious group responsible for defending the Earth against magical threats from Aether. In this RP, you will be roleplaying as a member of BLACK SQUAD - an elite special forces group created by the Organization to deal with potentially catastrophic threats. BLACK SQUAD were rerouted to Khariton after the conclusion of another mission, that left the surviving members exhausted and low on resources. BLACK SQUAD departed with 12 men. They're entering Khariton with five.
COLD HEART will take place over a single night in Khariton, and you will be under the command of a man named Jack Kaysen. There will be several locations with provided maps and lore entries, as well as NPC profiles to assist in your investigations.
THE ROLES
Due to the small scale nature of this RP, each character role is pre-created. However, you create the character itself. The roles are not "first come first serve" rather, "most interesting pitch" I am open to an Abormal (magic powers role) but ability must be restrained and reasonable. Gender does not matter for any role.
The Roles are:
THE SOLDIER -
The Heavy. The Defender and the attacker. Has heavy armor and the most weapons.
THE MEDIC -
The healer. Speaks for itself.
TECHNICIAN -
The mechanic. Tactical support. Able to fix almost anything. Almost.
THE SPECIALIST -
Aetherian researcher. The Organization's wielder of knowledge. Usually consulted when someone needs to know how to kill a Vampire or translate a rune.
All members of Black Squad are trained to kill, have all had their share of nightmarish conflicts and for the sake of this RP - fluent in Russian.
