Hello Everyone,
I am wondering if there are an Intermediate or Advanced Writer out there who would be interested in a Case Closed (Detective Conan) Fandom type of a storyline. For those who do not know, the premise of the anime is that there is a secret organization that runs the criminal underworld. This organization also has a drug that is being used to murder people without being traced however for select individuals the drug has the side effect instead of reducing them down to the child form. The story then focuses one of these affected individuals as they solve a number of criminal cases from robberies to murder and is heavily focused on "Sherlock Holmes" types of themes and stories in terms of the complexities of the cases and the characters involved. I am interested in doing a storyline within this world with a character who is also affected by the mysterious "APOTOXIN"
In my idea, I would be playing an American High School Detective who has come to Japan to challenge Jimmy Kudo (Detective Conan) to a battle of wits. In the process of this however, my character runs into organization and is poisoned with a new version of the drug. Like with other characters he is reduced down to an elementary school child form however unlike the others he is also turned into a she for unknown reasons. The story is going to resume from this point in time with the child-like detective beginning to adjust into her new life as well as solving a variety of cases in hopes of learning more about the organization and finding a cute to the drug.
If the story follows cannon than my character (Serenity) could meet up with Conan and the others. I thought that maybe my character could be 'adopted' by Sonoko or Sera who is delighted to have a girl around who is as smart or maybe even smarter than Conan who appears to drive her nuts sometimes. There could be a rivalry between my character and Conan as we work together to build complex cases agreed upon beforehand. Or maybe there are mutual understandings that form similar to Conan and other detectives where they help each other out. In either case it would be a higher level of story where we can work on and build multiple cases.
If the story follows non-cannon than my character (Serenity) could meet up with a childhood female friend who is also in Japan. This character could know what happened to my character, or like in the anime Serenity could be trying to conceal this fact and act more like a normal child. In either case the premises would be much the same with a child detective solving complex mysteries and all of the while pursing the organization. I already do have a couple of ideas for cases so that should make things easier to start the story - the main thing is finding a partner who can write detailed thought provoking posts and would like to explore this type of a theme?
