Humans are flawed, in the world we are bound to make mistakes.
We just never anticipate where our mistakes will land us.

Well it landed you a comfortable spot directly in a state prison.
Maximum security, that is. You were doomed to ride out your sentence and live with the mistakes you've made until one day, a break from your usual routine.
The guards collected you under the impression your lawyer was here to see you, a surprise visit but nothing odd.

The officers lead you to a quiet investigation room where a suave business man sat a brief case beside him.
You are now alone with the man who was NOT your lawyer.
You sit cautiously and before you could ask a word the man introduced himself.
"I'm Mr. K, that's all you need to know. I come to you with a deal."
The clean shaven, pristine toothed man explained that in exchange for manual labor, I could serve my sentence over the course of two years.
He began pulling out papers and laying them out. Each one was neatly typed words, tiny and intimidating. The man spoke so fast; he explained that contractors would 'hire' you for manual labor.
The man kept using that word, he explained that after the two year mark my record would be wiped and I could walk free. He added that if I did well, earning a 'high score' could secure me money from a willing contractor. The terms seemed so vague, yet the deal seemed remarkable.
Two years of manual labor and you walk free!? With a wide grin the man watched you sign the papers, as soon as you completed the last one the man snatched them.
Stood up and left quickly, not long after the guards grabbed you and whisked you away.


You are blindfolded and transported to an unknown location, you go through a series of doors, and stairs, doors and stairs. It got colder the further you went.
There was no sound, only your steps and your breathing.
You are sat down in a chair and the blindfold is removed. You are in a plain white room.
Before you the wall shows a picture, a projection on the wall. It looks like an instructional video.

"Hello! Welcome to TheBox, you are here because you accepted Mr. K's offer. We are happy to have you aboard." The man seems chipper and eager.
"TheBox is an underground facility that was built for the entertainment of the elite. Wealthy patrons pay good money to gamble in ways that can't on the surface." something seemed off, this was getting more odd that it was.
"Welcome fighter, we are happy to have you aboard." The video ends.

You've just joined an 'illegal' underground fighting ring that uses convicted criminals as puppets.
The elite make bets on who will win or lose and eagerly pay good money for good fighters.
The facility is run similar to a prison only it is co-ed, you get three meals a day, recreation time, showers, but instead of writing, or drawing, or relaxing you are expected to prepare yourself for hand to hand combat.
The facility isn't inhumane but every system has its bad apples of course.


|Rules|​

|General|

1. Follow all site rules.
2. No god playing. (Do not control anyone's character without proper consent)
3. No perfect characters. (No one likes a Mary Sue )
4. All characters must be 18+.
5. Remain as active as you can.
6. Be respectful of other people and their characters.
7. No EXTREAM wounds unless mutually agreed upon. (removal of limbs, blinding, etc)
8. No automatic weapons. (Guns, tasers, etc)
9. No fights will result in death unless mutually agreed upon.
10. FIGHTS CAN BE TYPED OUT BUT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE, YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SKIP TO THE ENDING OR ENTIRELY MUST BE AGREED UPON MUTUALLY

|Quality of RolePlay|

1. All post must be at least a paragraph. 4-8 sentences minimum.
2. Fights will be determined by a random generator(Unless it is decided manually for the sake of plot progression, or an agreed upon outcome)
3. No more than two characters per person. No limit on gender but try to keep a nice balance.
4. 2 Character Maximum (so far)
5. 1 of your 2 characters must start as a rank 1 fighter.( No exceptions!)
6. Romance is encouraged but not the focus.
7. Keep things interesting and fair for everyone!
8. No getting upset at fight outcomes, especially if randomized its all just for fun!
9. You can stage a fight against throw away characters(non main characters strictly for progressing plot) if there isn't a real person for you to fight!(The outcome can be randomized or preset)

|TheBox Rules|

1. No dating.(This rule can be broken obviously but you gotta be careful not to get caught!)
2. You must train for a minimum of two hours a day.
3. No asking questions.
4. A K.O is an instant win.
5. Ruffle no feathers.(Drama is drama c: )
6. Work hard to gain your respect!
7. No fight= Serious consequences

|Fighter Ranks|

|RANK 1 |(0-5 Fights Won):

• New Arrivals or those who have not won enough fights to reach the next rank.
• This is considered the scouting rank, "contractors' will be looking for someone who could make a good fighter.
• Strictly hand to hand and follows official rules. (No kicking, biting, hitting in groin, or choking)
• Losing a fight doesn't affect your points.
• GENDER LOCKED FIGHTS (Male vs Male) (Female vs Female)

|RANK 2| (6-10 fights Won):

• Mildly seasoned and have been here for a while, have been involved in a few fights and maybe have dipped between rank 1 and 2.
• A respectable rank where you can make a name for yourself, working hard can get you promoted or even 'recruited' by a contractor.
• Semi-Informal fighting style (biting, kicking, groin shots, are allowed No weapons or using the environment directly)
• Can lose points and drop back to rank 1
• MOSTLY GENDER LOCKED (Can sometimes be Male Vs Female but doesn't happen all the time)

|RANK 3 |(11+ Fights Won):

• Very seasoned fighters, probably close to their two year mark or either an EXTREAMLY dedicated fighter
• The highest rank you can earn, however losing a fight at this rank takes away 2 points. You can drop back down to rank 1 or 2 if not careful.
• Informal Street Fighting (Anything goes, use of rigged up weapons allowed(shanks, DIY tools, ETC) or the environment (EXP throwing sand off the ground into opponents eyes))
• This rank is monitored heavily by the contractors and they pay good money on experienced fighters. \
• GENDER DOES NOT MATTER
