Remy ins't a very positive person. She see's the world as it is. A shitty place that hold's wonder's that most will never experience. She does acknowledge that despite how bad stuff can get for someone others will always have it worse. She is bullied all the time there and has no friends. She craves her vacations away, especially summer, where she can stay home and do what she loves. So imagine her surprise when she get's informed that she is being sent to a camp for the summer. Away from her books and comfortable life.

With that happening, Eli had little time to go camping or hiking. After a few years of living uncomfortably, the family eventually got back on their feet. They aren't well-off but are surviving, surviving enough for Eli to attend the camp.
