Fantasy Camelot Divided Character sign up

As the person behind the prince... Marrying the faceclaim of the freaking dragon queen? Hell yeah! This is interesting ^_^

Bwahahaha XD Well, there goes one political alliance... Given he's not forced into it anyway, the poor sod.

Very much indeed ^_^
Now, I'm typing up Nyara's bit, but I'll wait with posting until I can write Adrian's part too :)

Nathan should be losing his mind over all the possible futures :P Since nothing is set in stone as of yet. (I'm imagining kind of more a DW kind of future seeing than Nostradamus "I see all of time and space... everything that could happen" instead of a "this and that's gonna happen and we can't do shit about it")

Backstory
David was born into a farming family. Everyday he would wake up and feed the animals. When he became of age, 14, he was sent off to train as a knight. Before he left, his mother gave him a sword with a blue gem in it's hilt. She said," As long as you protect the kingdom, the sword shall protect you." When he arrived, he was picked on. Everyone else was of a higher class, nobles, tailors, knights, while he was a farmer. Because of this disadvantage, he usually spent most of his time training. Years later he finished his training and became a Knight of the highest order. When he went to visit his mother, David found out she was dying. With her last breathe she enchanted his sword with the magic of her family. Now whenever David is up against a foe, his sword will glow a brilliant gold. His swings send light energy at the opponents. He fights with honor, or doesn't fight at all.

Other
He loves to go into the towns inn and sing for the towns folk.

[Played by @Fezzes]

Name
Ector of Greyroot

Age
55

Birthday
1st of December

Job
Highborn Lord

Personality
Ector is a harsh man, with a deserved reputation for pragmatism and ruthlessness, absolutely unafraid to make the hard choices necessary for the kingdom to prevail and his men to survive. He carries a great weight on his soul for some of the deeds he has committed, but the load is lightened by his belief in the ultimate rightness of his actions, and by his belief that if anyone must dirty himself with this, it should be him. He's also very good at not really dwelling on it, and so is rarely going to be found brooding. One of his best traits is that he knows when to use the carrot and when to use the stick, and can use both ably, especially on soldiers. Ector is at his core a virtuous knight, loyal to a fault, generally polite, utterly incorruptible, and the very model of diligence. He is well liked and even better respected among the soldiery for these traits.

Ector does also have his rougher edges, besides the aforementioned pragmatism and ruthlessness. He's often drinking a little bit too much, and tends to get extremely social and cheerful when he's drunk, and goes from being polite to being extremely blunt. He's also rather difficult to actually find, as he is almost always on the move, busy with organising some thing or another. Even during the rare times when he's relaxing, it's usually going out walking somewhere. He is also stubborn, convinced that he knows best on matters of military, and to a lesser extent, other areas. Of course, he has good reason to be, as he is very rarely wrong when it comes to war. Ector also has few real friends. While he is liked and respected by the soldiers, he has no actual friends among them, and a combination of his preoccupation with practical matters, lack of interest in politics and cultivating relationships with other lords, mild disdain for some of his 'softer' peers, and a somewhat tarnished reputation due to his willingness to compromise his moral sensibilities for practical advantage which makes him less approachable to those who know of him all add up to him having few friends among the nobility. He is respected for his military prowess and strength of character, but he is not loved for it.

Weapons
Expertly-forged bastard sword with the hilt wrapped in dark blue-dyed leather, with little in the way of decoration beyond a slightly enlarged pommel with the signature mark of the master smith who made this blade.
A little backup dagger with a thin, pointed blade, mostly for jabbing through armour or through eyes. Also well-made.

Equipment
Greyroot-forged Lord's armour.

Skills
Command
Ector is widely regarded as the finest general in the kingdom, and with good reason. He is an inspiringly stoic figure with a good deal of charisma, and is a genius of strategy, tactics, planning, and improvisation.

Politics
Ector is a natural at politics, although he has had less time for it than most men his age, and thus not a great wealth of experience. Even still, he picked it up quickly, and has a formidable political mind.

Swordsmanship
While Evarant may be easily the better warrior of the two, even if Ector weren't hampered by his age, Ector is by no means a frail old man. He is still an expert swordsman, the better of many knights across the land.

Roasting
Ector is highly regarded by men the kingdom over, but even without that, he can express his disapproval in an utterly vicious manner if he wishes.

Loyalty
The King, although if asked to act against Evarant he will refuse. Literally everything else is fair game. He's proud of his son.
