RULES:
>Anyone can join, all you have to do in order to join is just PM me that you would like to join, and then write an introduction post about what your cat is doing at that point in time. You have to write a Bio for your cat before your introduction post.

>You have to have some prior knowledge of Warrior Cats. You don't have to be an expert on it, you just have to remember or know about some of the basic functions of a Clan.

>Your cat must be an OC (Original Character), and you cannot play an already existing character from the books like Firestar or Graystripe.

>Your cat cannot have special powers unless designated by a prophecy from Starclan.

>Try to refrain from cursing too much. You can say "Dammit" and "Hell", but saying "Fuck" would be a little too far.

>You can't kill another player's character without talking about it first. If you want to have a battle, you have to at least discuss how you are going to have the fight before hand privately.

>Your cat can ONLY be in the four original clans or they can be a Tribe cat from the mountains or they can be a Rouge.

>Your cat CAN be a kittypet, but they cannot be a Kittypet for the entire story. At some point you will either have to make your Kittypet become a clan cat or a rouge.

..........................

CLASSES:
> Warriors: If your cat is a Warrior, than that means they can fight, train, hunt, and even be picked to go to Gatherings regularly. Warriors are allowed to have mates and children in the future, and they are eligible for Deputy and Clan Leader. Warriors can have Apprentices, meaning they will have a younger less experienced cat that they are allowed to train.

>Apprentices: If your cat is an Apprentice, than it means they are still rather young and are training to become a warrior. All Apprentices are referred to with the word "Paw" at the end of their name (I.E Graypaw, Firepaw, Leafpaw, etc). Apprentices have regular duties inside of the Clan that include Hunting for the clan, and grooming the elders. Apprentices may also help Medicine Cats from time to time without necessarily being that Medicine Cats Apprentice. Apprentices are not often chosen to go to Gatherings straight away, and often times behavior and impressive fighting skills are the number 1 factors in an Apprentice becoming a Warrior. An Apprentices teacher can recommend ranking up an Apprentice to the Clan Leader at any time they deem fit. Though they are inexperienced, they are often the ones who get chosen for prophecies, as opposed to a senior Warrior.

>Medicine Cats (There can only be 4 Medicine Cats): If your cat is a Medicine Cat, than they shall never be able to have a mate or have children. Medicine Cats are forbidden from ever doing either of these things, and if a Medicine Cat is caught having done them, they can no longer serve as the Clan Medicine Cat. These cats know a lot about herbs and healing, and are the ones other cats go to when they are sick, in labor, or have a wound from battle. Even though they don't specialize in fighting, Medicine Cats will still spend time training and honing their fighting skills in case of an invasion from a rival Clan. Medicine Cats will get visions and dreams from Starclan whenever Starclan needs to tell the Clan Leader about something important. Every month, before a Gathering is to occur, all four Medicine Cats from the four Clans travel to the Moonstone in order to talk directly with Starclan. Medicine Cats are allowed to take Apprentices, and this is not something that Clan Leaders decide, surprisingly. A Medicine Cat may choose to take an Apprentice anytime they want to. If a Medicine Cat takes an Apprentice, they are also the ones responsible for Ranking that Apprentice up to a full fledged Medicine Cat. Once the senior Medicine Cat dies, only then will the former Apprentice Medicine Cat take the role as the Clan's Head Medicine Cat.

>Clan Leader (There can only be 4 Clan Leaders): If your cat is a Clan Leader, than that means that they are one of the few cats who have 9 lives. Clan Leaders are not born into a line of succession, they are chosen by former Clan Leaders through the Deputy title. If a Clan Leader dies, than whoever was their Deputy takes their place as Leader, and that is how Clan Leaders are chosen. Clan Leaders have a lot of duties, which include appointing Warrior names to Apprentices and speaking at Gatherings. A Clan Leader is given 9 lives by Starclan once they are chosen. This is a ritual which involves a Medicine Cat bringing them to the Moonstone in order for the Clan Leader to speak with Starclan themselves. Once this ritual is complete they receive their new name, which is always their old name but with "Star" added to the end (Firestar, Bluestar, Leopardstar, Etc.) Once a clan leader has 9 lives this means they have 9 lives to spare. If a Clan Leader is killed in battle immediately after receiving their 9 lives, they will be lifeless for a few seconds before coming back to life. Their wound may even be healed depending on how bad or dire it was. If a Clan Leader dies to illness with 9 lives, they will be cured of that sickness when they come back to life.

>Deputy (There can only be 4 Deputies): If your Cat is a deputy, it means that they are the right hand cat of the Clan Leader, Deputies have a lot to do around the Clan such as appointing hunting Patrols, marking borders, reporting any suspicious activity on their borders, checking in periodically with the Clan Leader etc. Deputies may even have Apprentices while serving the Clan Leader, which just means they have even more things to do on top of their already busy to-do list. If a Clan Leader is too ill or weak from battle to attend a Gathering, a Clan Deputy may speak on their Leader's behalf. If a Clan Leader loses their last life, than a Deputy must take their place as Clan Leader.
............................

CLANS:
There are four original Clans from the books, plus a tribe of cats that live in the mountains, that you can play as in this Roleplay. You can even choose to be a rouge cat who belongs to neither of these two groups.

The Clans are not like Hogwarts houses where there are clear and distinct differences between them, so you're cat can be from any clan you would like. The only real difference between them are their territories.

Thunderclan Territory: Heavily wooded with birch and oak trees, and lots and lots of thick undergrowth. There's bushes and tall trees everywhere in Thunderclan territory. They primarily eat small rodents like Mice or Voles, and will even catch the occasional bird or rabbit.

Windclan Territory: Flat, rolling plains with tall grass and wild flowers. Sheep graze occasionally in this area, and they aren't dangerous to Cats at all. Though the Windclan Cats do eat mice and and birds like the Thunderclan cats, they primarily hunt Rabbits, and this is their specialty of sorts.

Shadowclan: Heavily wooded, with dense undergrowth. The trees are dark oak and their leaves block the sun a lot, so the forest floor is cast in shadow a lot. The primarily hunt Mice or birds.

Riverclan: They live on a small encampment that's situated in the middle of a marsh of sorts. There's lots of water, and their main source of food comes from rivers or streams where they can catch fish. Riverclan is the only clan that mostly eats fish.

Tribe of Rushing Water: The Tribe cats live in the mountains a couple of miles away from the forest of the clan cats. The mountains are tall, craggy, and cold. Eagles often hunt cats there, but the cats use those same eagles as a source of food. The Tribe cats live in a cave that's hidden by a screen of water from a waterfall above their home.
........................................
Cat Slang: This Roleplay is going to be kept PG just a bit, aside from some violence here and there. Because of this, the Cats in the book don't actually say a whole lot of curse words, or use words that we humans know about. Here's some of the silly curses they use when aggravated!

Mouse Brain: To call someone stupid.

Fox Dung: Shit/Damn/Fuck etc.

KittyPet: A cat who belongs to humans as a pet.

Twolegs: What the cats call humans. All cats, even KittyPets, refer to humans in this way.

FleaPelt: To call someone you don't like dirty.

Monsters: This is what Clan cats use to refer to cars and other automobiles that they see.

Thunderpath: A street that cars drive on, it is called this because of the loud and thunderous noise that car tires use when driving on it.

PROMPT:

The wind blew harsh over the grassy moors of the Windclan border. Up, high in the sky, the moon and the stars shine brightly illuminating the world below them in a haze of silver light. One lone cat walks briskly through the breezy air, the starlight at his feet not even bending to the wills of the weather. He was a silver Maltese with long fur, and piercing blue eyes. Star dust gathered around his feet and clung to his pelt as he walked. The Starclan warrior looked across the open expanse once he reached the top of the tall hill he had been trying to reach.

I wonder who shall receive this message? He thought, looking at the borders of all the Clans. When he first arrived, he thought Windclan would surely be the right choice, but he wondered if they were up to this task.

A dangerous foe was coming to the forest in 12 moons time, and he had not yet chosen a cat to stop him. While it was true that Windclan had good warriors, they were not quite what he was looking for. Shadowclan had strong cats, but they were dealing with a persistent famine right now. Riverclan would be a secondary choice, but he couldn't see himself entrusting it ONLY to them, as they were dealing with a very nasty bout of Greencough. He thought about giving his message to Thunderclan, but they were far too paranoid about their borders, what with Shadowclan having a famine...

This will not do! He scolded himself. He tried and tried, but he couldn't come up with a satisfactory answer. Perhaps this is a task for all of them. He turned back to the Windclan border, and it was then that he had truly made up his mind.

I shall visit a cat from each clan, and tell them about the Foe to come in 12 moons time, he thought, running to the Windclan Camp. If they come together, than surely their strengths will outweigh their faults.

Name: Stonepaw

Gender: Male

Age: 7 moons.

Class: Apprentice

Appearance: Stonepaw is small and sleek of build he has blue eyes and grey blue fur. He has white tips on his paws, ears, and tail. He does have slight fluff around him showing that he will be a long furred cat like his father when he reaches adulthood.

Clan: Thunderclan

Personality: Stonepaw is in a word prickly. He is not the strongest of cats but he makes up for that with his wit and strategy. He has a heavy dislike and condescending attitude towards other clans as he thinks Thunderclan is in a sense superior and the other clans only take up territory and food that could be used to feed his own clan. Stonepaw is ambitious he wants to see himself leader one day where he can make Thunderclan the most powerful and only clan in the forest.

Name: Tigerpaw

Gender: Male

Age: 7 moons

Class: Apprentice

Appearance: Tigerpaw is a lot larger then his brother. In both fluff and build he dwarfs Stonepaw to the point where if you didn't know they were brothers you wouldn't assume them related at all. Their only similarity is their base coat with them both being grey but Tigerpaw does not share Stonepaw's bluish tint and is a more rocky grey with a white underbelly. Tigerpaw is covered in black tabby stripes.

Clan: Thunderclan

Personality: Another way that Tigerpaw differs from his brother is temperament. Tigerpaw is much friendlier then Stonepaw and does not share his brother's intelligence. Tigerpaw is no fool but he isn't as calculating as Stonepaw. Tigerpaw does not share his brother's ambition and is a bit of a joker. He is always wanting to learn from his mentor and wants nothing more then to serve his clan in the best way he can.

Biography: The two brother's share most of their young life. They were raised by a gentle queen named Robinsong. They were sired by the clan deputy, Snowfox and as such were always expected to show off their best. The two brothers had differing reactions to this expectation when they grew old enough to realize it. Tigerpaw felt overwhelmed whereas Stonepaw simply ignored it. He knew he could lead the clan under his own merit if he could show off his own merits but didn't care for any expectations. They underwent their training separately and have done well thus far though they have never gone to a gathering and Tigerpaw often has to cover for his brother's prickly attitude.
(I guess I put this here).

INTRO

In the Thunderclan apprentice's den one cat stirred. Stonepaw was having trouble falling asleep, his blue eyes were open and scanning the den walls. He was aware of the rise and fall of his brother's sleeping form behind him. Tigerpaw had gone to sleep in heartbeats after they'd laid down. Stonepaw was still filled with restless energy and as such was not content to just lie down and snooze. The apprentice had no idea why he wasn't tired, he had spent most of the day training hard. He should be exhausted, Stonepaw gave a bad tempered growl and lifted himself carefully to his feet so that he didn't wake Tigerpaw. He pushed through the tunnel that led out into the camp and looked up to the moon. Stonepaw figured he'd try to stave off some of his nervous energy by taking a walk around the camp.
Stonepaw padded forward and began to walk aimlessly around the camp to tire himself out.
Back in the den Tigerpaw was dreaming, the gray tabby prowled through a sunny forest with the scent of mouse in his nose. He felt the rays of the sun filter through the canopy of trees and settle on his fluffy pelt. Tigerpaw's ear flicked as he heard a slight rustling to his right. The tabby tom lowered himself into a hunting crouch and began to slowly slink forward. Tigerpaw opened his mouth to get a better sense of the mouse.
Tigerpaw held his ears back and tensed his muscles just before he pounced. A clean bite was all it took Tigerpaw lifted his head triumphantly, holding the limp body of the mouse in his jaws. In the waking world Tigerpaw was a poor hunter so his dreamself was elated at his nice plump catch. He was certain his mentor would praise him for such a good hunt. Tigerpaw padded through his dream on the way to where he was certain the Thunderclan camp would be.

Name: Frostpaw
Clan: Thunderclan
Class: Apprentice

Appearance: Frostpaw is a grey cat. She has bright green eyes. She’s small, and has tiny paws, she’s very fluffy. Her tail is rather long, taking the fluffiness of the rest of her body.

Personality: Frostpaw is outgoing. She loves to explore, and tries to act brave. She can be snappy at times, but only if you get on her nerves. She’s also very playful.

Bio: Frostpaw was the only survivor in a litter of three. She couldn’t wait to become a warrior since she was only three moons old. Her father died at a young age, Frost’Paw doesn’t remember him at all.

Additional Info: Frostpaw has been training to become a warrior for two moons. She tries her best, and is a fast learner. She hasn’t been to a Gathering yet, but cannot wait to go to her first one.
(this is like really bad but...)

Frostpaw sat outside the apprentice den. She scanned the clearing. It was dark, so she could barley see a thing. The moons gaze reflected around, helping some. She lifted her head, her eyes on the moon. She shook her pelt, before getting to her paws. Her eyes never coming from the moon. She shifted on her paws, before tearing her eyes from the moon, and turning around walking into the den. She was quiet, due to the other sleeping cats. She went over to her nest, circling a few times before curling up, her tail wrapping tight around her body and placed gently on her nose. She closed her eyes, sleep soon washing over her.

Name: Shinestar
Clan: Thunderclan
Class: Clan Leader

Description/Picture: You can make a picture of your character with this if you want to, but no real picture is needed in order to join! You can just describe your cat in words if you wish to.

Shinestar.png

Bio:

Shinestar is a very energetic and happy cat who, despite being born blind in both eyes, has proven to be an exceptional Clan Leader. He was chosen by the previous Clan Leader of Thunderclan, Oakstar, to be Deputy many moons ago. The two of them were best friends, until Oakstar died in battle. Shinestar is not very well liked by the other Clan Leaders because of his very laid back and optimistic attitude towards problems the cats in the forest face.

Shinestar doesn't look down on the other Clans, and some may see that as a bad thing, because all of the Clans are rivals. He believes that conflict can be solved by talking it out, but lately what with Shadowclan having a famine, there has been lots of Prey Stealing.

Shinestar's blindness doesn't affect him as much as most Cats would think it would. He's still able to fight, despite his disability, as well as hunt for himself and the rest of the Clan.

Additional Info:

Shinestar has never had a vision from Starclan himself, and he thinks this may have to do with his vision, although he is not entirely sure. The only time he would've been able to see Starclan was during his 9 lives ceremony, but even then, the world was dark. He couldn't see anything, but he could hear and feel cats walking and talking to him during said ceremony. This is something he keeps to himself, because he believes if others find out about this, than they will think he is weak and that Starclan did not choose him as a Clan Leader.
.................................

Intro

The Den in which Shinestar slept was quiet, all except for the subtle wing beats of a bird nesting outside. He hadn't been able to get any sleep at all, and had been tossing and turning just trying to think of a way for his clan to deal with Shadowclan.

Recently, there had been a number of instances in which Shadowclan was caught Prey stealing, something any other Clan Cat would get their ears clawed off for. The other cats in his Clan were getting restless and antsy, wanting to fight anyone who so much as looked at their borders.

what to do...? He thought. The Gathering was tomorrow night as well. If he didn't do something then, a fight would surely break out and Starclan would definitely be displeased with him if he couldn't figure out what it is he should do. Perhaps we can come to an agreement?

But he knew that wouldn't work. It would make his clan look weak, and that wasn't something he wanted as well. There was only one thing he could do and that was too let them know that they couldn't Steal Prey anymore. His mind finally at rest, he decided he'd try and catch some kind of sleep, but as he closed his sightless eyes, he began to dream of a place he had never been before.

There was a shimmering pool of night and stars beneath his paws. Cats with silver dusting their pelts were all around him, and it was then that he knew that what he was seeing was something entirely new. He wanted to speak, to say something about the magnificent display of starlight he was seeing, but he found he couldn't open his mouth. He was too in awe. A cat from amongst the ranks of the other Starlight cats walked up to him. He was a gray, long furred cat with pale blue eyes.

"Shinestar, welcome. You stand among the ranks of Starclan at this very moment." The strange cat told him. Shinestar just stared at him, dumbfounded. "In 12 moons time, the tide will rise and a Birch from the west will fall on all of your Clans." Said the mysterious Starclan warrior.

"What?" Shinestar asked. "What do you mean?"

The Starclan warrior did not answer. "You have 12 moons before the Birch falls and the tides rise, remember this well."

He woke with a start, finding the world was dark for him once again. He could hear more bird song, and smell morning dew on the grass outside of his den. He remembered the Starclan Warrior who had come into his dreams to warn him of something.

12 moons until the Birch falls...He thought to himself. He had no idea what that meant, but it wasn't something he could keep to himself. He would have to discuss this with the Clans Medicine cat immediately.

Name: Brightleaf
Clan: Thunderclan
Class: Medicine Cat

Appearance: Brightleaf is a white cat, with black markings on her ears. She has icy blue eyes. She’s rather small, along with her tail being short.

Personality: Brightleaf is a smart, gentle cat. When it comes to healing she may become snappy, only because she wants the cat she’s treating to become better quicker. She is very gentle though.

Bio: Brightleaf, much like her name, is a very bright cat. She loves taking care of her clan an is very gentle. When she was chosen to be a medicine cat apprentice, she didn’t know how to react, wanting to be a warrior for most of her life. When she became one, she began to realize taking care of her clan was something she loved to do.

When Silverheart, Thunderclans former medicine cat, passed away, Brightleaf felt pressured having to do everything by herself. She feared it, messing up terribly a few times. She almost ended up killing a cat, and decided it was time to get her act together. Brightleaf ended up becoming quit a good medicine cat being guided closely by Starclan.

Brightleaf looked out her den at the moon. Tomorrow was full moon and she normally liked to have her herbs full. She shook her head, tomorrow she would have to go out and get more. She walked back over to the herbs on the ground and looked at them. She began to pick them up, one by one, sorting them to the right spot. Eventually they were all sorted. She looked the stocks over and over, making sure everything was in the right spot. After a moment she nodded to herself, agreeing they were sorted right.

Brightleaf walked over to her nest, pawing it. She was tired, and had worked hard that day collecting herbs, even though she didn’t get enough. She settled herself down on her nest, getting comfortable. She went ahead and placed her head on her paws, closing her eyes. She let sleep wash over her, sleeping peaceful without any dreams from Starclan.

Morning came and Shinestar decided he would talk to Brightleaf as soon as he woke up. He made his way over to the Medicine Cats den, poking his head into her small enclosure.

"Brightleaf? I need to talk to you about something, it's very urgent!" He called.

Brightleaf stirred, hearing a voice. Her eyes slowly opened, “Shinestar?” She questioned, opening her eyes wider. She sat up, grooming her fur for a moment. She walked closer to the tom cat, “What is it?” She then asked softly, her gaze sharp upon him.

The sun hit Frostpaw’s eyes the next morning, slowly creeping it’s way into the Thunderclan apprentice den. Her eyes slowly opened, narrowed from the warm sun in them. She slowly sat up, looking around the den.

She let her paws lead her out of the den and to the fresh kill pile. There didn’t appear to be a ton of food, Frostpaw began looking around for her mentor to see if they could go out to practice hunting once more.

Shinestar sighed. "Well you see, I had an...interesting dream last night. I dreamt about Starclan, and they told me something very worrying." He explained. "A cat with long, gray fur and blue eyes told me that in '12 moons time the tides will rise, and a Birch will fall on all our clans'." He shook his head, confused. "I don't know what it could possibly mean. I fear something bad will happen in a few moons."

Brightleaf listened closely to Shinestars words closely. “Starclan hasn’t shared anything with me.” She said after a moment. “12 moons time, the tide will rise, and a Birch will fall on all our plans.” She mumbled, repeating him. She narrowed her eyes before they shot open, “Could tides possibly mean the river?” She questioned before shaking her head as if answering herself, “No.” She mumbled.

Shinestar thought for a few seconds. "Perhaps it does mean the river? Or maybe a storm will come to flood us...? I don't know. But I am worried. Please tell me if you get any messages from Starclan." He told her.

Brightleaf nodded, “Maybe.” She agreed. “Oh course I will.” She said. “For now, beware.” She sighed. “I suggest telling the rest of the clan to be aware of any possible danger.” She pointed out. If something were to happen, everyone needed to be ready.

Shinestar nodded. "I will. In fact, you should come along to the Gathering tonight. This concerns all the Clans, not just ours." he told her, before leaving the den. He hopped up onto the Highrock.

"All Cats Old enough to catch their own Prey, gather here beneath the Highrock for a Clan Meeting!" He yowled.

Brightleaf dipped her head respectfully, “I will.” She mumbled. She followed Shinestar out to the clearing, taking a seat. Even know she already knew what this was about, she decided she’d listen.

Frostpaw turned her head, bounding over to the high rock. She looked up at Shinestar, as she sat wrapping her tail neatly over her paws. Her eyes were bright, filled with curiosity.

Stonepaw finally found himself able to sleep and awoke the next day going out of the den. Stonepaw set time grooming himself as Tigerpaw set to working on his crouch. “You’re never gonna surprise anything with that you need to go lower” Stonepaw advised between licks. “I can’t go any lower” Tigerpaw countered.
“You’re gonna have to, or you’re never gonna catch anything” Stonepaw said. Before Tigerpaw could respond they heard the leader’s call. Tigerpaw immediately rushed over and looked behind him at Stonepaw who had yet to move. “C’mon” Tigerpaw said. Stonepaw sighed as he wasn’t done grooming but padded over to listen nonetheless

Shinestar stood on top of Highrock, and looked down below at the other cats. "I had a very troubling dream the other night." Shinestar began. "It was a message from Starclan warning against a coming danger. 'In 12 moons time the tides will rise, and a Birch will fall on all your clans.' That's what a Starclan warrior told me."

Frostpaw looked at Shinestar with bright eyes, not knowing how to react. Did that
mean the clans were in danger? She shook at the thought, hoping she just wasn’t understanding it properly.

Shadepelt stood below the Highrock, looking up at Shinestar quizzically. "What does that mean? Will the forest flood?" She asked, hesitantly.

Shinestar sighed. "I don't know what it means exactly, but I want to be ready for the worst." He told her. "Because this is such a vague warning, I want you to assign more hunting patrols to make sure we have enough food to last us in case of an emergency. Check the river near our border frequently to make sure its tides are normal."

Shadepelt nodded. "Of course. But what about the other Clans?"

Shadowclan territory

Adderclaw struggled through the early morning marsh. In his jaws he clutched a blackbird between his jaws as he stumbled forward trying to keep his fresh-kill from dragging through the mud. It had taken a long time to catch and Adderclaw had needed to range to the very edge of the territory to capture it. The Deputy had awakened before the sun rose and had decided to do a bit of early hunting. Starclan knew his clan needed it. It was odd, Adderclaw was near the camp but hadn't seen a hair from the dawn patrol he'd organized the night before.

There was a rustle to the left as the three warriors appeared each of them carrying some sort of prey. Adderclaw was impressed, he opened his mouth to congratulate them when the scent of Thunderclan reached his nose. The black furred deputy's eyes narrowed, that was stolen prey. "I said there was to be no theft against Thunderclan" Adderclaw growled. The Warrior he'd put in charge dropped her mouse. "The clan needs to be fed and Thunderclan territory was bristling with prey, besides we didn't go far. Those mouse brains won't miss three mice" she said.

"I don't care whether or not you thought they would notice you I said there was to be no thievery and you ignored me. We are already suffering, do you think we need a war with Thunderclan right now. For Starclan's sake do you think we have enough fit warriors to repel an attack from Thunderclan right now" Adderclaw hissed. "Take your catches back to camp, the kits and elders need something. Do not do this again".

Adderclaw watched the cowed Shadowclan cats push their way into camp his tail lashing irritably. My clan reduced to nothing but thieves Adderclaw thought as he picked up his catch and followed them. He dropped off the blackbird on the fresh-kill pile. He noticed two of the patrol taking their catches to the queens and elders. At least they still had some honor left. Adderclaw's gaze was taken by the medicine den. He took the third catch the patrol had made and began to pad towards it.

He made his way into the Medicine den and the smell of sickness overwhelmed the smell of prey in his mouth. He stopped in his tracks when he saw the still form of Pinestar, his once strong leader and good friend seemed so weak. Her breath was ragged and her eyes were closed. At least she was breathing, the deputy dropped his catch. "I've brought a catch, Crowflight" he called into the den.

Thunderclan Territory

"He had a vision" Tigerpaw said in awe. Looking up at the leader on the rock. "Ironic" Stonepaw said quietly. "That's not nice or funny" Tigerpaw protested.

Stonepaw rolled his eyes waggling his tail from side to side. "What do you think his vision means" Tigerpaw wondered.

"It's obviously a warning that all the trees are going to sprout legs and engulf the camp like a flood... I don't know" said Stonepaw sarcastically. Tigerpaw grumbled at his brother's bad attitude. He knew that this was just how Stonepaw was but that didn't stop the gray tabby from being annoyed at his sibling.

"I don't think it's up to us to figure it out. I'm sure Shinestar, Shadepelt, and Brightleaf can figure it out though. They're the cleverest cats in the whole clan" Tigerpaw bragged on his leader, medicine cat, and mentor.

"Maybe they are" said Stonepaw now in thought.

Crowflight stared at Pinestar from his bedding, watching her sides rise and fall with her breaths. It was like a dream, as an apprentice he was used to seeing Pinestar being strong and determined, but here she was sick with green cough, her breathing slowing with the days. Everyday was like this for him, when he wasn't tending to the Queens and Elders, it was cats getting sick from eating at the carrionplace, and after all that, it was back to thinking of ways to help Pinestar, but he was running out of ideas that didn't end in her passing, and he was starting to run out of catmint. He just resolved to make her as comfortable as he could until the time came.

"I've brought a catch Crowflight." Adderfang's voice woke him from his thoughts, relieved at the distraction he padded over to the entrance of the Medicine Den, somewhat surprised the patrols brought some prey back, but his surprise was dashed as he caught the faint scent of Thunderclan territory on the catch. He looked at Adderfang, but decided not to question it and just ate the catch, after all he knew Adderfang wasn't foolish enough to be stealing prey from other clans.

"Here to see Pinestar?" He asked the deputy.

Adderclaw felt the Medicine cat’s gaze when he undoubtedly picked up the thunderclan scent on the prey. The Deputy didn’t seem affected by it.

“Yes I am” Adderclaw answered. He tried to stop by to check on the leader at least once a day hoping beyond hope that she would recover and some semblance of normalcy could be returned to Shadowclan... If only.

“Has she stirred” he asked already fairly certain of the answer he would receive but not able to stop himself from asking. Another question stirred on his tongue but he couldn’t bring himself to ask it. Common belief was that Medicine cats could tell how many lives a leader had left, Adderclaw himself was almost certain Pinestar was on her last.

Shinestar dismissed the clan meeting, and climbed down from Highrock. He looked to Shadepelt, "I'll join your group for the morning patrol." He said.

Shadepelt nodded, "Okay, the dawn patrol should be back any minute now." She picked a couple of other cats, and then walked over to Tigerpaw. "Come on, you're going on a hunting Patrol with me. Keep a look out for any Shadowclan scent while you're at it." She told him.

Tigerpaw perked up at the idea of getting to go hunting. Maybe his dream last night was a sign he'd catch something. "See ya Stonepaw" he said with a flick of his fluffy tail. He looked up at his mentor, "so what part of the territory are we going to" he asked excitedly.

Windclan territory

Gorsewhisper trotted across the moor at a relaxed pace. In his jaws the skinny white medicine cat held a few stocks of Chervil, he felt the wind of the moor flow through his fur which mixed well with the heat from the sun assailing his back. He padded past the outlook rock and flicked his tail in greeting to the cats standing watch. He stopped to look down at the natural dip that formed Windclan's camp, he ducked down into the camp and was attacked by the sounds of his clan simply enjoying life. Kits played, apprentices boasted, the Elders grouched. Everything was normal and good in Windclan. He ducked into the tunnel that made his medicine den and added the Chervil to his meticulously sorted Herb store.

Riverclan Territory

Heronfeather stood at the water's edge her green eyes narrowed at the sleek dark shapes under the surface. She flexed her claws as she prepared a strike and quick as a snake her paw slammed into the water knocking a trout from its watery home. Heronfeather surged forward and crunched her teeth down on the fish. The she-cat turned and threw the fish onto a pile, the clan needed strength to recover from the greencough that ravaged them and Heronfeather was more then able to provide it. With the few healthy cats in the clan she needed to hunt thrice as hard as she normally would. Luckily there was no shortage of fish in the river.

She grabbed the tails of the two fish she'd caught and dragged them back to the camp. The sick stench was unavoidable in the riverclan camp but she dropped the fish on the fresh-kill pile and set off on cleaning her paws.

Shadepelt smiled at his enthusiasm. "We're going to the border by Shadowclan, obviously. Just to check to see if any cats have crossed over again."

She walked to the gorse tunnel that lead outside of the camp, and headed the hunting Patrol. Shinestar trotted up to Tigerpaw, smiling.

"I don't think I've ever seen Shadepelt smile at an apprentice before! You two must be getting along swell." He whispered.

“Sounds important” Tigerpaw responded following after his mentor. He was a little scared at the notion of running into an enemy patrol scared him a little, he’d never been in a real battle before but he’d always been better at fighting drills then hunting ones but that didn’t give him much of a confidence boost.

The words of the leader caught Tigerpaw a little off guard. He liked the praise though. “W-well that’s really nice of you to say” said Tigerpaw not sure how to address the leader. He followed Shadepelt after that keeping his eyes, ears, and nose out for prey or another clan.

Shadepelt went off to hunt, keeping an eye on Tigerpaw as he went off on his own path.

Shinestar decided he'd follow the apprentice to make sure he didn't get into any trouble. Or at least, that's what he told himself. Really, it was because he was more or less worried about Shadowclan. As they neared the border his suspicions were confirmed as Shadowclan scent hit his nose. It was faint, and any other cat might not have smelt it were it not for his own heightened sense of smell.

"I knew it!" He growled. "Shadowclan has been by the border again! No doubt stealing more prey for their clan..."

Another scent was mingled with the Shadowclan scent however. One he didn't recognize from any clan. No...don't tell me there are rogues on our borders as well!?

"Tigerpaw? Do you scent anything unusual up ahead?" He asked the young cat.
