History: Markos is the youngest and arguably most prodigious member of the Royal Mechanical Theorists. Many of his older peers resent him; for every idea that works, five more crash and burn. Yet every idea is grand in scale, in purpose, and in design. His current project, an Automaton that "thinks" beyond the capacity of its peers (both working and combat), has so far proven fruitful. He insists that it's not ready for production, and though there is truth in this statement, there is more to it.

Personality: Zazriel is confident and kind of mellow for the most part, she does have a weird sense of humor, tending to crack jokes in dangerous situations, and has a bit of a dark sense of humor. At this point, no one knows if it is a coping mechanism or not. She's playful, curious, loves food, and is typically friendly but has a nasty temper if she is angered. She believes life is too short for what she deems unimportant things so she tries not to stress about things and let most things roll off her back. Practically being raised in nature she doesn't particularly like big cities too much, she doesn't hate them, she thinks they're interesting and kind of fun, but she also thinks they're crowded and kind of loud. A lot of people assume she's a ditz and unreliable from the way she acts but she's actually very intelligent and aware...she doesn't think she has to brood and be all super serious while she does it, besides if people think she's not paying attention it makes it easier for her to catch them off guard.


History: Zazz is an agent of the dragons, the crystal dragon to be more precise, otherwise she works as a traveling performer, mostly as a dancer, it makes doing her job much easier when she can come and go as she pleases. Her father was also an agent, but they don't get along. It's why she's so mellow now, she got tired of constantly arguing and fighting with him and just kind of started to ignore him.

Personality: Rather self-confident and proud, Auroria has a habit of refusing to ask for help until it's shoved into her face, and oftentimes foregoes basic necessities for a short while to finish up something she's working on-like father, like daughter. Tends to pout when things don't go her way, but doesn't outright throw a fit until it all goes awry from compounding mistakes; Auroria has a lot of patience despite her haughty attitude, and genuine praise tends to throw her off-guard. She can always be found to complain about something, whether it's minor or major, and outwardly acts like a bruise thanks to her older brother always tipping her off. Nonetheless, she puts her heart and soul into her craft.

History: Her father, having been highly favored in the Operator's Wire, aptly took Auroria under his wing once she was old enough despite slight protest from her older brother. Being trained as an operator and being able to diagnose issues and fix them on the steam trains themselves have numerous future benefits, after all; the favoritism the guild showed to her father slightly transfered over to Auroria once she was proven capable of following in her father's footsteps.
Auroria eventually left the Operator's Wire amicably of her own volition and reason after a full tenure, essentially becoming a wantering mechanic for hire across multiple cities due to the information learned at the guild. At least her father's alright, he's one of the most favored Maintenance Operators in Rhodia, at least from what she knows!

Magic: Blood magic, but he relies on his enhanced weapons more.
Personality: Although his abilities make him look dangerous Erix is a kind, friendly guy who always does what he believes is right. He can be blunt about his thoughts and his honesty usually gets him in trouble. He's quite a daredevil as well, resulting in him getting hurt often, his friends see him as a child for the most part. Nonetheless, his actions never intend to hurt anyone and even if he did, he'd do anything to make up for it, unless he believes they deserved it. He doesn't like it when people stand in his way once he makes up his mind about something.
History: Erix grew up in a family where money was almost never enough. His father had disappeared years ago thus as he started getting older he helped his mother around the house or made her worry about disappearing for hours outside. He was a curious child and would talk to strangers he found interesting all the time (he almost got abducted once) or hang out with the children around the neighborhood. When he reached the age of 15 he started helping his mother at work as well, slowly learning how to make magical weapons too.

Personality: Zylphia is an honest and straightforward person, she doesn't much see the point in dancing around a subject and doesn't really have the patience to outright lie. Her stance is that lying is what children do when they think they're going to get in trouble and as an adult, she has no reason to lie...because who is she going to get in trouble with? That being said, it's not like she'll rat you out if you ask her to keep a secret or be too stubborn to lie if the situation really calls for it, she'd just rather not. She loves cooking because to her cooking is a science and she loves how it works so she's pretty good at it. She doesn't always understand people's feelings, especially if they aren't logical, for example why people would be afraid of a gunslinging alchemist even if she has no intention of shooting them with anything harmful so as smart as she is, she can be kind of oblivious sometimes.


History: Zylphia is the daughter of a doctor and gunslinger turned tavern owner. She didn't think she was nearly nice enough to be a traditional doctor but was still interested in medicine. However, her interest in medicine soon became a fascination with alchemy and science in general so she decided to become an alchemist. She is somewhat feared in her field as she had pretty much figured out that you can put anything into a gun if you try hard enough. She is a very smart and talented alchemist so they hope she'll grow out of her gun fascination as she gets older. Personally, she doesn't see why they're so skittish. I mean she's found nonviolent ways to use guns as well and it's not like she'd shoot them...unprovoked.

Equipment: Artificial reinforced limbs (leg and both arms, the right arm having a housing for her magic gems to allow her to cast spells with no need of training), magic gems (fire, ice, lightning, wind), toolbox, duffel backpack, magnifying glass, glasses cleaner kit, oil bottle, water jug, Swiss army knife, box of matches, a history book, this world's equivalent to the Bible, pen and journal.

Personality: A blithe spirit wide-eyed idealist and optimist. She always thinks on the positive side of things than the most realistic. But even then, while she may be a nice girl, she is also somebody one would not wish to mess with. If there is something wrong, she is determined to fix it. She can be very emotional and passionate when she wants to and can easily be angered if one were to hurt innocents, especially her friends and more importantly, her personal bodyguard and girlfriend life partner Vivian. Unfortunately for her, due to a very horrible event, she is diagnosed with PTSD and whenever she is having an attack, she clings onto Vivian for comfort until she calms down.

History: Penny is born to a family of archaeologists who runs a museum housing ancient artifacts that they have discovered throughout their career. Of course this inspires Penny to become one as well. Much of her childhood involved reading books about history, mythology and religion. By her late teens, it is time for her first exploration...and maybe her last. Penny, along with a group of archaeologists, are sent to a deserted temple to retrieve an artifact that may hold the key to everlasting peace between humans and dragonkin. Unfortunately, they got jumped by a group of bandits who wanted the artifact for themselves. Poor Penny was left to watch her companions slaughtered before she gets most of her limbs chopped off in an attempt to fight back. All seemed to be lost as Penny was left lying in the pool of her own blood. She was at Death's door when she was saved by someone who would eventually become her partner in life; Vivian. Penny came back with the artifact but at the cost of becoming traumatized, yet she is very glad to be alive in the end. Penny would receive prosthesis later on and Vivian ends up joining in her expeditions as her personal bodyguard.

Magic: For now, she knows stealth-based spells like turning invisible, turn off sound and become magically undetectable. However, she possesses a passive spell that can make her shoot a magical beam from her left eye that needs to be sealed after use because she has yet to know how to turn it off.

Personality: An emotionless girl...sort of. Her expressions are always blank, but her body language can otherwise suggest how she feels. It is just that there is something in her that prevents her from showing any emotions, which is very scary if one has no idea what she is feeling. Another thing that is off about her is her matter of speech; she speaks like she is reciting an haiku, making it hard for her to speak practically, but best if she wants to be poetic, which is another trait of her. Her sense of humor is rather deadpan, no exaggeration. Despite all this, she remains a friendly and kind person, sometimes flirty when near Penny. Also, she is very hard to anger, but if she does, it is MUCH more scary, complete with death glares that can pierce one's soul.

History: Other than her name, Vivian has no memory of who she is. She was found ashore by a group of bandits who decides to take her in as their own. Vivian is proven to be very useful for their exploits, but over time, a moral compass is being developed. She begins to feel pity and sadness for the people she mugged and killed. It finally turns to its head when the group entered a deserted temple and killed a group of archaeologists sans one; Penny. Seeing her drowning in the pool of her own blood made Vivian snap, going on to kill the bandits who took care of her in cold blood. Vivian carried the maimed but still breathing Penny with the artifact and went on a long journey back to the young archaeologist's hometown where they collapsed on the front door of her parents' house. After some time has passed, Penny is given prosthesis and Vivian decides to join in on her adventures as she has no home to go back. She becomes her bodyguard and is given a unique weapon for her to defend themselves, Rho-Haas.

He uses a Steel sword as a melee, along with Hand-to-hand combat learn from his training. He carries around a 8-shooter as a side-arm, and a Lever-action that fires(this time's equivalent of a) .308. He wears plated armor under his clothes, but not too much to weigh himself down

Personality:
He's cold and distrusting, he's a leader, and will do anything for his troops, he would bleed, fight and die for them. He becomes alot softer as he trusts someone, and generally doesn't like to, due to... his past traumas

History: Yuri is a prodigy in battle, and a Leader's son. From an early age, he looked up to everything his father did, and tried to follow him, train with him, do everything like his dad. His father died in battle when he was 17. Yuri mourned, but he quickly recovered, joining the Army, and quickly rising the ranks, becoming an Elite Officer, and training to be a KingBlade by the age of 24. He Put his heart and soul into it, he broke himself down, over and over, building himself back up. He lost his sister around that time, she was trying to understand magic, and be a scholar, but she died in a large fire that spurted over their home. Yuri's mother died when she gave birth to Nova, so for 8 years, other than his fellow soldiers, Yuri is distant, and will not make true bonds any longer, so he himself can't be hurt

Personality: Egelista is curious and energetic, but shy and soft-spoken. She loved to meet new people and see new thing, but for one of those new people to actually be able to interact with her would require patience -- and the ability to not piss off her bodyguard.

History: Egelista is something that is almost unheard of in either culture. While half-dragons are not unknown, a half-dragon being born of a dragon and a Kingsman is. She is the only one of her kind, and though her mother is shunned by many Kingsmen and her father -- the Voice of the Dragon's council -- is sometimes suspect for mating with a foreign diplomat, Egelista is seen as the true heir to her father's place in the clans. Her mother has been treated well and her parents' love is obvious to anyone who sees them together.

Profession: Egelista's Shield (Serves as a direct defender/attendant to the half-dragon)

Equipment: A metal cudgel, and a set of ragged, half-plate armor, worn from years of defending against attacks.

Magic: Blazing Aegis- Ilthyis's tattoos form a rigid structure along her skin, a steely red palette to symbolize the devotion to both her home and the dragon she serves so adamantly beneath. She can conjure up flames in a wall, with a heat so intense and compact that it incinerates anything that tries to pass through it, while this could be seen as a weapon, she has spent her years honing one ability and one alone to defend her draconic liege. It is purely, stationary magic.

Personality: Stalwart and sturdy, a mental trait that stems from her physicality as well. Ilthyis never shirks her duties nor accepts failure as a retainer for Egelista. Bound by honor and a sense of purpose, she lives her life in servitude for the one she had been sworn to protect, daughter of The Voice. She tends to wear her thoughts and opinions on her sleeve, only letting such passion and abruptness falter when in the presence of Egelista, to who she will submit her whims and desires, regardless of if they're against personal ideology.

History:

Summoned from her lowly village to a greater purpose by the great dragon known as, "The Voice". Ilythyis has spent the past two decades of her life in training and in preparation to serve the Council, though upon finding out about the offspring beneath her patron, the warrior was none too pleased to find her attention reassigned toward the half-dragon. Though there was a rocky patch at the beginning, after years spent in each other's care, Ilthyis has spent many winters alongside her new mistress, a level of platonic kinship now built between the two as sisters.

Ability:

Counterfeit
- An illusion-based magic that allows the user to create realistic copies of objects, images, and, in some rare cases, living beings.


As mentioned above, Counterfeit is a type of illusion magic that allows Rohan to create realistic replicas of certain objects. However, the potency of the ability depends entirely on his experience, mental state, and other variables that may occur over the course of the roleplay. Listed below are some rules inhibiting the ability and explaining what he can and cannot do at the time that this is being written:

1. Rohan cannot copy the abilities of other dragonkin in the roleplay, even if their ability summons realistic objects such as crystals for combat or everyday purposes. Only original, unaltered subjects may be subject to a copy.

2. Rohan must intrinsically understand the makeup of what he is copying. This means that he also cannot (at this time) hope to copy Kingsmen weapons and artifacts as they're beyond his experience and understanding of how they work. This MAY change over the course of the roleplay if he has a chance to thoroughly study an item and see how it works. (OOC: This is up to Mythy's go-ahead and requires the consent of the player)

3. While it is theoretically possible to copy objects indefinitely, Rohan only has the ability to handle seven (7) objects at any one time. To handle more would require far more mental/image training since it's directly linked to his mental state. As you might guess, attempts to do more than what he could handle could have disastrous consequences to his mental faculties, mood, and overall health.

4. Larger items take far, far more time and stress to copy. I will be rolling dice for these to see his chances of copying them accurately. If successful, Rohan can uphold the item for a max of 10 minutes. The more the same object is copied, however, the amount of time might be lengthened. For example, if Rohan and the understanding and ability to copy the King's airship, he'd only be able to do so for about 10 minutes. However, if he successfully did so a number of times, that amount might stretch to 15, 20, and so on with more successful attempts.


5. Rohan cannot copy living beings at this time. However, depending on how things go with the party, and if he gets very, very, very close with someone, he may be able to make effective copies of them (REQUIRES OOC CONSENT).


Personality:

Rohan can best be described as distant and aloof. He seems to be more at ease within his own head, observing and contemplating, than interacting directly with other people. However, even though he doesn't talk much, he takes a keen interest in the emotions and well-being of others, seeming to sense them intuitively through his powers of observation. It is not unheard of for him to do small gestures such as delivering a cup of warm brew or offering his coat to those who might be suffering from some kind of distress. He is also fairly type A, striving to go above and beyond in carrying his weight, stressing the need to do "his fair share" whether it be in combat, or just general day-to-day maintenance for the group.

Something less noticeable, however, is his quiet resentment of dragons and dragon-kind in general. Due to his upbringing in a more wild and remote part of the island, he has wholeheartedly come to believe that dragons and dragon-kind are favoring those in the populated centers with more desirable magic and patronage. Though he himself has gained the attention of a dragon, this resentment has ultimately led to their relationship becoming tumultuous and strained, with him frequently being rebuked for his "insolence". It has also led to him doing things most dragonkin wouldn't such as covering his tattoos and obscuring them from view.

When there is not much else to do, Rohan can often be seen sketching away in his notebook. He loves to draw and will often pause what he is doing to take elaborate sketches if he sees something he likes.


History:

Rohan Eriskaya is the one and only agent of Kapnos, the dragon of illusions and dreams. Much of his memory regarding his early life is gone, but what he does remember is that he lived in a tiny, remote village somewhere near the sea and that he was raised among a gaggle of young dragonkin also impacted by the bloody, ongoing war against the foreign Kingsmen. From what he can recall, the villagers were hardworking, boundlessly determined, and no matter how many times their humble shelters fell, they supported one another and believed in the power of the dragons to the very end. Even though he can no longer remember much in the way of their names and faces, their plight sticks with him, causing him to question much about the current systems and how the world works.


Aside from the village itself, his clearest memory is that of the book. Left for him by his parents, the book appeared on the outside to be nothing more than a standard journal, quite like one would come across in your standard book shop. This book, however, had a secret. It had the ability to make the written word turn to image and for image to become life. With just a flick of a quill, he could create a lifelike image of anything in the world he wanted. But the book was not intended for human hands, and eventually, before he knew it, the book had taken control, compelling him to create until he could no longer tell what was real and what was fake. He may well have been utterly consumed by this power if not for the timely intervention of Kapnos. As the one true owner of the book, only she had the power to bind it completely to her will.

She saved him, but not without cost.

Magic (If Applicable): Bibliotheca: Chiefly book-themed barrier magic which forestalls enemy movement and threatens to pin them in place with a proper closing. These seemingly weightless barriers can be generated and float in the air, useful for acting as makeshift, nonslip crossings. The larger the barrier and the longer it lasts, the more exhaustive the magic. This barrier magic can also envelop a weapon, shield, or item and extend beyond it, turning a shield into a kite, or a shortsword into a claymore for extra cutting power. Depending on how thin the barrier is, it can be durable or frail. Weaponised barriers will have to be thick to do their job right, but that takes time and energy.

Personality: Studious and attentive to her duties of being both a protector and a gatherer of historical truths, Lille enjoys a straightforward style of living where both occupations feel the same to her. She is inquisitive and desirous to please as long as it does not break her code of conduct. She loves a laugh and enjoys singing for the sake of singing. If she sees a good enough reason to fight, she hesitates at first to think it through, then dives in. Perhaps she is trying to make history herself so that others can write about her rather than her them.

History: Originally, Lille was not always Lille LeBlanc. She was from a family of mountebanks and charlatans and had to change her name frequently due to her family's dealings. Her life was unsettled too many times at a young age, and once this conflict between the two continents occurred she found a chance to break away, naming herself Lille after her best friend's chameleon pet, and LaBlanc after a favourite character in stories told of her. Eventually she found an occupation, and after years of intrigue met with a dragon who decided to share a bond through mutual interests. Now she serves as a storyteller, an aide, and an investigator, which led her to this historical moment far from the reaches of her dragon's realm.

Personality: A Sweet girl, and She'll do anything to protect her friends, and allies. She gets a bit affectionate at times, but knows when to back off, She'll fight to the very end, just like her Leader, Yuri, to protect her Kingdom

History: Born into poverty, Akisa learned to not take anything for granted, money, food, defenders, absolutely anything. She lost her mother early in life, but she was an only child, being raised by her father, who became an alcoholic to pass time. He became abusive, but also tried to teach her to defend herself, at least, when he wasn't blasted drunk he did. He taught her to use a sword, and she seemed to be quite the natural at it. She enlisted into the Kingsman army so she could defend those who couldn't defend themselves, Her skill ended up catching the eye of the leader of the Kingsblade, and he trained her himself, and after years of the two fighting and sparring together, She became a Kingsblade alongside him, and looked up to him like no other, she didn't know what he made her feel in all honesty.
