Oddity is the mother of creation. Be weird.
A few things before hand. You are allowed to use any Code you want, but please be mindful of those of us who are mobile users. I am a mobile user, so it would be nice to be able to read your sheets. You may also add any other sections you want or think of, but these are the base sections. Also, remember I do prefer quality over quantity. So make the best of your words, not the most of them. Be aware that, due to my characters set up, his back story won't be huge, but that will not reflect my posting during the RP.

One last thing, I hid a bunch of clues throughout my characters sheet to hint at his story and what he might be. Let's see if you guys can guess before I reveal it. Just remember, nothing is as it seems with this guy.

Name:
Jason Von Earlside

Nickname:
Boss or Owner
Age:
Unknown. It confuses most people. At times he can be seen as childish and whimsical. At other times he talks about his time in wars that are centuries in the past. It is all rather jumbled.

Race/Species:
Unknown
Gender:
Male
Gender Identity:
Male

Sexual Oreintation:
Pansexual
Appearance:
HD-wallpaper-coffee-cutie-anime-cute-guy.jpg

Personality:
Jason is an enigma. Nothing is really known about him and he acts like it's not a big deal. He has a bubbly free spirit, but so much wisdom comes from that spirit. Wisdom only gained through experience. He always has a smile on his face and is the first person anybody wants to talk to about something serious, because he always seems to have the right answer. Speaking in philosophy or in words that seem to come from a man who has seen his fair share of sorrow and sadness. Normally a very jovial and helpful person, very few have ever seen him outside of a happy mood. He is dutiful, organized and seemingly carries no worries about the world.

On the off occasion that you cause a commotion in his shop, hurl an insult towards a guest or worker or simply step over one of his boundaries, he seems to have absolutely no hesitation when it comes to delivering the blunt and honest truth in a very harsh way. He lives by his own moral code of ethics. He believes in doing what is right. He believes that every belief and religion in the world all revolve around the same concept of living your best life and leaving this world better than when you got there. He believes that all should be loved and that there should be no such thing as racial bias or discrimination. In his eyes, everyone is equal. No one should be excluded for any reason, even if it conflicts with your own personal beliefs. A warm heart wrapped in the side of a big child, all powered with wisdom of the ages. A truly mysterious person, but one you would always want to have around.

Backstory:
No one knows where he came from or what his major purpose in this life is. However, everyone remembers the day his Cafe opened. It was such a warm day. Not warm in the sense of temperature, but it seemed like his presence in the presence of the cafe almost brightened the day. Like the shop and staff send a warm chill down your back and just made you feel at home. Everyone knows that he is always there to help. When the shop isn't open, he just happily walks about. Always looking for someone to help or something to do. Always there when you need him, never there when he's a burden. Many vendors look forward to his visits as he buys up a lot of ingredients for the shop. It has become a bit of a game for the people of the Kingdom and for the workers. What exactly is the owner's story? Why does he think the way that he does? Is there more to this jolly man that meets the eye? Only time will tell.

Position in Café:
Owner. As the owner he is a jack of all trades and will do whatever is needed at the time. However, he will also simply greet guests if nothing needs to be done.

Magic if Applicable:
No one knows if he has magic or not. Sometimes, they aren't sure if he even knows. He has an uncanny ability to be right where you really need him and can always seem to produce what is needed almost from thin air.
Relationship Status:
Single

Extra:
He can play the guitar. Very well and prefers very emotional and melodic playing.

Name: Filomena Isolde Mcleod
Nickname: Mena, That Bard

Age: 25 in physicality, though she's lost count past that age. Time flies when you're having fun.
Race/Species: Fae-touched human
Gender: Female
Gender Identity: Female
Sexual Oreintation: Lesbian
Appearance:

1642272583974.png

Personality: If a crafty fox or cunning, laughing coyote were ever brought to human form then it would certainly mimic this woman. Don't let those pretty eyes or winsome smile fool you; there is always trickery afoot when Filomena is around. Whether it is stealing the hearts of fair maidens, forcing even the grumpiest of souls to laugh, or pushing her coworkers and customers to figure out what makes them tick, Filomena is never idle. Sure, sometimes she needs to do a favor or two for members of the Autumn fae court, but the bulk of her time is spent figuring out new ways to cause a bit of chaos. What was the point of living if you allowed it be dull and boring?

While it would behoove her to put her decent intellect and the knowledge she gained from her tutors to good use, Filomena was never very good at thinking things through before doing them. While not everything in her life had worked out the way she had wanted, she felt that the best parts of her life were only had when she pushed aside fear and hesitation to take leaps for what she wanted. Part of that impulsiveness did help her to craft wonderful music and stories, the woman capable of just making everything up as she went along. Honesty was far from her most notable feature, Filomena having learned long ago that there was great fun to be had in stretching the truth. While she was perfectly capable of feeling sadness and pain, Filomena always locked those emotions down as quickly as she could. Especially in public. After all, the adoring masses would likely grow worried if they ever saw Filomena frown!

Backstory:

Filomena was born to a prominent noble family whose wealth and prestige permitted young Filomena to have anything in life that she could have ever dreamed of. She had horses and puppies galore, and she was able to have the best tutors that were available in the kingdom. She had everything she could want...except the love and time of her ever busy, distant parents. So Filomena learned to try to fill her loneliness with the companionship of the servants who tended to the house. Oh, she could have had as many friends among the nobility as she could have wanted. Especially as she grew older and became a charismatic and dashing young woman. Yet she had no interest in those suitors. No, her heart had been won over by one of the maids within the household.

They had tried to keep their relationship secret, but young love is often blind to the dangers around them. Another servant, seeking to gain an upper hand on Adelaide, eventually betrayed the young mistress of the household. Lord and Lady McLeod were livid at the afront caused by this secret romance. The maid Adelaide was ejected from the household, and a thunderous row was had among the noble family. It was decreed that Filomena was to be arranged to marry a Count in order to both control the wayward lady and garner more prestige for the family. Filomena was having none of it. Her heart shattered by the loss of her love and the rejection of her family, she packed her things and ran off into the night.

It was difficult for Filomena to adjust to the world outside of her family's wealthy estate. Cold and hungry with little to her name, she knew she didn't have any marketable skills in order to obtain an occupation. Truly, she was gifted in nothing but music. She sat down on a stump in a forest and began to play her violin, her song drawing out a roaming fae with its intricate strains. The human and faerie spoke at length, the faerie sympathizing with Filomena's plight. She had such a gift for music, it would be a shame to see it wasted. So the faerie granted Filomena a boon, leaving her with an intricate brand on her hand and extending her life. The young woman's appearance became a bit more spritely, her ears slightly pointed and golden flecks showing up in her eyes. As long as she helped the faerie out now and again, then she would be able to continue to make use of this gift she was given.

Naturally, the redhead began to roam. It was through doing so that she heard about a particular cafe that seemed to be a complete delight. After making the arduous journey, Filomena approached the owner, Jason. The man was much warmer than her father had ever been, and his easy smile easily matched Filomena's own. The offer of a position at the cafe was too good for Filomena to resist, the young woman being able to focus less on trying to find food and lodging so that she could focus on the better things in life. Such as causing a bit of mischief and garnering the adulation of those around her.
Position in Café:
Filomena is known to be able to give the best seats in the house, taking more into consideration than just what the patron thinks they need. She has fun making sure to place certain personality types together, often encouraging romance and rivalry in equal measure. She also sings and plays a variety of instruments to entertain the customers.
Magic if Applicable:

ovid shepherd.

name : Ovid Shepherd
nickname : Ovvie
age : Appears around 21, is in actuality around 50; still fairly young for his kind.
race/species : Faun
gender
: Male
gender identity : Male
sexual orientation : Homosexual homoromantic
appearance :
110bf23a69fe028271494a02cfe0bcbedffcc2df.jpg

Personality :
Ovid is quite unlike the common stereotype of his kind; He doesn't have a penchant for drinking (he actually can't stand the taste of alcohol) or partying (he finds parties to be overwhelming, for the most part). He would rather read a good book or spend the day crocheting instead. He prefers quiet, respectful company to the more boisterous, and can't stand those who are arrogant or full of themselves.

Ovid is strict and likes to see things done a certain way, and when he's out of control he often gets anxious. He likes to stick his nose in where he doesn't belong, snapping at others about how to do their jobs. In short, he needs a lesson on how to relax. He's been getting better about this since coming to work at the café, but still needs others to show him the big picture from time to time and keep him from taking things so seriously.

backstory :
Born into a family who worked with a traveling circus, Ovid always struggled to fit in. To the general public, he was part of a freakshow, and to his family he was an uptight outcast. Rather than bonding with the others who worked for the circus over their shared circumstance, he ended up isolated from the rest of his peers.

He ended up stepping back from their circus act and taking on a more managerial role, trying to keep things running from behind the scenes. This was where he really came to shine; His penchant for planning and pulling things together was unmatched. With his help, the circus began to boom in popularity, soon becoming a household name for many.

During their travels, while exploring the local cities and towns near where they set up, Ovid found Café Presbytery. Almost immediately after stepping into the café, he felt like he had found a place where he truly belonged. He came back three times while the circus stayed nearby, and on his final visit, in the days before the circus was meant to move again, he asked for a job. Saying goodbye to his family was tough despite their lack of connection, but Ovid never felt like he belonged more than he did at the café.

position in café : Waiter. When business is slow, Ovid crochets, creating plush toys for children and blankets for those in need. he gives these projects to some of the repeat customers at the café.

Sister Brigatina Mana

Bree3.jpg

Nickname: Bree, Briggie
Age: 22
Race/Species: Dryad
Gender: Female
Gender Identity: She | Her
Sexual Oreintation: Demisexual

Appearance:

Six foot tall with smooth, non-human brown skin, grassy green hair and dark green eyes. Hair will grow flowers depending on mood. Arms and legs can instantly grow helpful vegetation like branches and vines. Parts of her body such as arms and abdomen have rough, yet fancy patterned bark-like skin. Can shape and craft organic dyes from her body to create henna designs on her skin.

Prefers her natural body over anything else so she may literally run through the forest when nude but dresses as a busser at the cafe and dancing girl when needed. But will not wear shoes. Just cannot get used to them unless made from vegetation materials.

Personality:

Coming from a family that is constantly helping the Archdruid's grove, the Dryad is a hard worker by bloodline. She is very brave and always acts and thinks positively with a 'don't quit' attitude. But that does not mean she is not playful and loves a good joke too because given the opportunity she will fool around. She is quick on her feet and quite agile, but her main and often seen physical activity is dancing. She absolutely loves to dance and to play/listen to music.

Being a Dryad she has no need to eat regular food, but will sit and drink water with others. But she does have a bit of a vice: she likes to eats bugs and get high off of them, especially butterflies. Coming from a purely forest setting she is quite naive and gets distracted easily by the strange and new to her and often finds herself in strange or compromised situations because of her curiosity. She stares and inspects things and has an issue with the concept of ownership of singular items. She also has an aversion to fire as well.

Backstory:

The young Sister is from the Mana Sisterhood of Dryads in the Grove of the Archdruid Pesepholine. Like all other Dryads she was raised communally from a seedling and into the caste of Rain Dancer. These women were the onces that danced through the forest and moved earth, stone, water and all types of flora during rainy season diverting streams and floods during New Spring to promote growth. If you were lucky enough, you could hear their telltale dance steps as they worked. The keen of ear and attuned could pick out the rhythm when they danced to the sound of rainfall when near the grove.

Rain Dancers were also sentinels at the edges of many bodies of water. Bree was one such sentinel taking watch at the mouth of the river when she saw the Hellhounds move in. They were going to kill a clan of pixies that stored the magic pollen they had all collected for winter. If the hounds got hold of the pollen many Fae would be doomed to starve over winter and so instead of going for help, Bree rushed in to stop the pack of Hellhounds. But alone and not have great water magic, she was easily defeated and her body was cast into the river. Luckily for her since she did have enough magic to use the water to help hear her wounds, but she ended up passing out.

When she woke up next, she had absolutely no idea where she was and no idea how to get back home. She did not trust the flesh people since she was taught of there treacherous and greedy ways when it came to how they treated the forest. But a sweet farmgirl named Anexa Duplos was kind enough to take her into their barn and treat her wounds. Bree knew that she was too far away from the grove and so her wounds healed just as slow as mortals here. But over the next few months, she learned how to cope outside of the Archdruids grove and even though her magic was much, much weaker out here, she re-learned how to manipulate the elements.

She and Anexa became good friends and the girl taught her the customs and ways of the flesh peoples. And quickly the Dryad learned the language of the flesh peoples by dancing with her friend and attuning herself to this land. But in doing so, Bree doomed herself to the fate of a Dryad not tied to a Sacred grove: the young woman became mortal and worse, she could feel the countdown to her demise fall into motion.

Yet despite her death sentence, she would still not give up. There was still time to do what she had to do here before trying to re-trace her path back home. The Duplos family was behind on payments and was going to lose their farm. And even thought Bree was such a great help around the farm, there was only so much she could do. So the young Dryad decided to find work in the local town and send her earnings back to the family when she came to visit.

In town, she would just busk by playing percussion while she danced. Minimal earnings still did not discourage her. Then one day, by chance, she had gone into Cafe Presbytery out of curiosity. A minstrel played and she decided to dance to the music. A few more patrons were drawn in, just a handful, but paying customers were still paying customers. They stayed till the performance was comeplete and when they left, Bree just did as habit on the farm, she cleared the tables rather quickly and efficiently by growing vines and branches from her body to grab utensils, dishes and cups and clean the table, and push in chairs at the same time.

She was pretty much hired on the spot as a Busser and on special occasions/times as a Dancer and percussionist. Her plan is to stay here for a year to earn enough money to help the Duplos family and to save for her journey back home as well. The Drayad knows she cannot get discouraged or sidetracked. Brigatina herself knows that she has but only 7 years left to live.

Position in Café:

Busser - hard work, cleaning, lifting, moving fast, being polite and positive. Does her job well.
Dancer - was literally born to do this. She incorporates her magic to grow vines leaves and flowers as she moves along.
Percussionist - she has naturally growing bark on her skin that she may grow, extend out and shape to use as drums or like a xylophone or even castanets.

Magic if Applicable:
Nature Magic: Elemental Earth major with Water manipulation and healing as minors.

Relationship Status:
None. (In love with friend Anexa Duplos but the girl is engaged to Mowden Kiliki, son of wealthy land owners.)

Extra:
She has 7 years left to live unless she makes it back to the Archdruid's grove.

"Would you like some tea?"

Name: Anona Baxter.

Age: 26.

Race/Species: Half Nymph/Half Human.

Gender: Female.

Gender Identity: Female (she/her)

Sexual Orientation: Demisexual.

Appearance: Anona has light moss colored hair that pairs with her bright yellow eyes. Her hair falls down to her shoulders, with small antlers popping out through the top that have potential to grow. These antlers are barely visible currently, so they are called buttons. Anona is 5'7" and weighs about 140 lbs. She also has a distinguishable beauty mark under her right eye.

Personality:

Anona is a reserved, but not necessarily quiet woman. She wants to treat others like her father treated her, and so she puts others first without compromising herself. She is empathetic and gentle. Since she had no mother figure in her life, she tries to play the role for others by being there for them when she's needed. She will make a dessert while listening to someone talk about their experiences. She is kind and approachable. The struggles she went through make her more appreciative of people's kindness as well.

Anona loves the outdoors and basking in the sun. Her favorite hobby is to clean, which she does manically when she is stressed. She goes to bed early and sleeps quite often because she was used to having nothing to do while being trapped in a bedroom. She is also an aggressive snacker, and loves to eat sweets particularly. She sees everyone at the café as very special to her, and will occasionally offer tea from her flowers if her coworkers don't find her odd.

Backstory:
Anna's father was a handsome man. So handsome, in fact, that he seduced a nymph. His name was Evan Baxter, and he was raising Anona alone because her mother couldn't leave her domain in the forest. They parted ways after deciding it was best to raise Anona as a human child. Evan moved him and his daughter to a small commoners town in hopes of a simple, but fulfilling life. He was a great father and always tried to make the best of the situation.

Anona was a bright, cheerful child who cherished her father deeply whom she bore a strong resemblance to. As she grew older though, she began to look less and less human. Her hair, flowing to her hips, was not only a vivid green but also started to sprout flowers from them. It started when one day, Evan was describing a daisy to Anona because they do not grow in the region they resided in. As he was painting their imagery to Anona with descriptive words, her eyes were glistening with excitement. Gradually in her hair, flower buds began to appear. Evan was confused, staring intensely at his daughter in disbelief while telling her about the colors that daisies hold. He told her daisies had white petals and a yellow central color. She tilted her head to try to imagine it, and then from the buds that were growing came out the exact description he gave her. Her father couldn't believe his eyes, but he knew who her mother was so it wasn't impossible. He decided to play with this idea, and told her that actually daisies had pink petals. From that moment, the daisies in her hair raveled themselves back to the original buds, and then rebloomed to look like his new description. He reached out and plucked a flower from her hair, and placed it into his daughters hands. Together they realized that she can imagine any flower which will spawn from her hair without effort. To hide this, she had to wear a cap to cover her hair, but at least she could brew them exotic teas.

Evan worked as a handyman around town, and was good friends with all of their neighbors. Anona would go out with her father during work to assist in any way she could. She typically helped by holding tools with him. Everything was perfect until she turned 16. During this year, a plague hit the town and suffocated her father. The loss Anona felt when she lost her father made it hard for her to breathe. She was now all alone. During his funeral, Anona placed daises from her hair near his tomb, covering it completely in his favorite flower.

Neighbors couldn't afford another mouth to feed, so they contacted Evan's sister in hopes she would take her in. The aunt's name was Emily Calton, and she had no interest in raising Anona. Emily came to see her niece with the idea to sell her off as a slave. Upon arrival, the naive Anona was not covering her hair as she did not think a family member could be dangerous. Emily asked about the flowers, bewildered as she did not know that Evan slept with a nymph. After the explanation, Emily came with a scheme. She took Anona and treated her no better than the streets would have. She was continuously starved, and so the flowers in her hair started to die off as well. Anona was often trapped in her bedroom and was not allowed outside. For many years, she did not see the sun. But this was her blood related family, she felt trapped here. Once Anona turned 25, the scheme Emily thought of was revealed. Anona was to be sold off to one of the heirs to the throne and was to grow the kingdom's national flower in her hair. It was meant to fake a sign from the gods that the heir was being chosen for the throne. Upon hearing about this, this was the final push for Anona to finally leave. She escaped through the window in the dead of night with no belongings, as she had none to begin with.

Anona wandered around aimlessly with no distinct plan in mind. She just grew that she had to get out, and far. She travelled through forests to keep herself hidden, and drank water from passing streams. Though she had no real food typically, she was used to it from her past treatment. Eventually, she stumbled upon Café Presbytery. The owner took her in and fed her. She was so happy to regain trust in people again that her flowers began to bloom once more. She now repays his kindness by working as a chef in the kitchen, living a quiet life like her father wanted.

Position in Café: Anona works as a chef in the kitchen, specializing in deserts. If you let her get carried away, she'll make everything flower shaped. She enjoys baking the most, and absolutely adores making things colorful and decorative.

Magic if Applicable: Anona can grow any flower, even made up, from her hair.

Relationship Status: Single.

Extra: She enjoys tending to the flowers that wildly grow around the café, and hopes that one day the owner will give her some land to plant a garden. She also has to file down her antlers because they keep growing as she's getting older - similar to filing nails.

Theme Song:
Her voice/the song she often hums while baking.

A song I just enjoy.

Oh, my sweet little nymph child!

Name:
Varrhis Belfax

Nickname:
Varr, Varrhis the Platebreaker, 'A gecko on steroids',

Age:
194 (roughly mid-to-late-50s in human years)

Race/Species:
Dragonborn

Gender:

Male

Gender Identity:

Male

Sexual Oreintation:

Heterosexual

Appearance:

Varr cuts an imposing figure, standing at a sturdy 7 foot 2 inches, with a set of deep, scarlet and gold
scales. They have dulled slightly in his middle-age, carrying decades of wear and tear. Scars riddle his body,
old wounds that stand as proud reminders of Varr's history. Two prominent horns curve backwards on top of
his head, over a set of piercing golden eyes. Varr most often dresses in a simple tunic and pants, with a
worn black apron over the top. He regularly goes barefoot, with anything but armoured greaves serving
no purpose for him.

1642520477394.png

Personality:

Varr has a nuanced personality, to say the least. Day-to-day, he is known for his gruff, no non-sense attitude.
Years of hard labour, and draining military service have diminished his willingness to grant most people basic
common courtesies, in particular those who he deems as boastful, or arrogant. Varr has a tendency to simply
walk away from conversations he grows tired of, or simply growl obscenities at people who rub him the wrong
way. Ironically, this behaviour often results in Varr himself rubbing folks the wrong way, leading to a cycle of
general dislike in those he butts heads with. Varr is rarely seen making smalltalk with customers, he is a staunch
believer in the philosophy of meaningful talk, or no talk at all.

However, underneath this rough, perhaps even unpleasant surface is a Dragonborn honed by years of service.
Varr is one to never let his duties slip away from him, his bar is always a tidy, efficient station, that provides
exemplary service. He has a watchful eye, even though his grizzled, indifferent exterior may show otherwise.
Another benefit from his military service is the view that camaraderie and family come before anything else.
He is never one to abandon, or disregard the needs of those he works with, and often finds himself the first
to step between his co-workers and disgruntled customers, perhaps second to the Owner himself. This
devotion to his co-workers is always apparent, but he can be depended on for a word of gruff support or
encouragement when the situation calls for it. While at first, Varr may strike an intimidating, perhaps even
frightening character to new workers at the Cafe, they soon find out that he is more empathetic, and
supportive then he first seems.

Backstory:
As previously mentioned, Varr had an extensive history in the military. He served as a front-line paladin in
a bloody, vicious war many decades ago. It seemed as if this was always his path, as both his parents served
as high-ranking officers, it seemed only natural for him to follow in their footsteps. The lessons that
he holds at the core of his being were drilled into him in those early years. 'There is nothing more important
than protecting those who fight by your side, Varr'.
He could still remember his mother telling him that, the morning he
left to go enlist. It remained burned into his brain, and as such he worked hard for a position that let him
do just that. Varr gained quite a lot of renown in his early years, his Dragonborn body allowing him to achieve
great feats of strength, and fighting prowess, and he soon gained the nickname 'Varrhis the Platebreaker' for
cutting clean through a fully-armoured training dummy in one blow.

However, the relatively happy life Varr had built in the military soon came crashing down at the declaration of
war, between two opposing states, one of which was an ally to Varr's own. He was shipped out, his first taste
of proper warfare coming in the form of an ambush, in which many of the friends Varr had made were mercilessly,
and brutally murdered in front of his eyes. It was a wakeup-call of sorts, that military service was more than just
training, and forming bonds with the soldiers by your side. It was about blood, and confusion, and fear. Varr
vividly remembers wandering aimlessly after that first attack, the dust thrown up by the magical barrage forming
a haze in the air. He tripped, nearly falling over the leg of a lifeless corpse, a friend? The fantastical stories the bards sang
never told of how blood stained the grounds of battlefields, of how the pleading cries of the dying cut through the eerie
silences of the ravaged landscape. This harrowing experience didn't break Varr, however. It only steeled his
conviction, and he eventually improved. Soon, his battalion of soldiers became the best of the best, cutting
swathes of carnage through enemy lines with surprisingly few casualties on his side.

Years into his service, Varr found himself face to face with a fearsome Orcish barbarian, who even dwarfed
Varr's considerable size. He remembers the arc of the orc's spear as it whirled around to finish him, the
jagged black tip on a direct course for Varr's heart. In a flash, however, the spear was tilted downwards,
embedding itself in Varr's leg, instead of a surely fatal chest blow. A demure man had deflected the blow,
a man Varr would come to know as Jason. While their interaction was only brief, it had a lasting impact on
Varr that would last a lifetime. His injury was severe enough to warrant his honourable discharge from the
military, and he found himself in need of work again, once he had recovered. Soon enough however,
work found him, in the form of the same man who had saved his life so many years ago.

Position in Café:
Aside from applying his broad knowledge of different spirits, meads, ales, and everything in-between,
Varr assists the Owner in maintaining the day-to-day functioning of the Cafe, maintaining a
watchful eye, and an intimidating presence.

Name: Fiona Magnolia Rhymes

Age: 21
Race/Species: Elf
Gender: Female
Gender Identity: Female (she/her)
Sexual Oreintation: Bisexual (with a preference for women)
Appearance:
3ED6EA16-B4DA-42B7-9E1F-5B1FEE202031.png
Personality:
Fiona is a very creative person. She's constantly thinking of something new to try or make. Her mindset is "If you don't do it all you'll die regretting all the things you didn't do" and thus tries to do everything at least once, even if she hates it. This headstrong mindset comes with its flaws however, shes pretty competitive and doesn't like losing and is also kind of hotheaded.

Backstory:
Fiona is the only child of her controlling, wealthy parents. Her mother is a successful model who owns a massive makeup company and her father is the CEO of a successful company. As such, she was raised to be just as successful as them. At only 15 her parents were making her choose which college she wanted to go too. She had a lot of restrictions on her life, she wasn't aloud to go out with friends, she couldn't go anywhere without a bodyguard, she couldn't have any social media accounts. She felt like she was a doll, made to be used for what THEY wanted her to do.

Things changed when she turned 18, Fiona's parents had her take online college due to changes in their plans. Eventually, they began trying to find wealthy suitors for her to marry. By 19, Fiona was expected to marry the heir of a rivaling company to that of her fathers. This was it, being forced into marriage with a man she didn't even love. The night before her wedding, she packed her stuff and ran away.

She took a bus to a nearby city and rented an apartment using some money she had taken from home. She began to enjoy doing what SHE wanted with her life. But things slowly took a turn when she realized she couldn't keep relying on the money she had taken from home. So she began to look for a job, but it wasn't as easy as it sounded. First she tried a store clerk, but got fired due to budget cuts. Then she tried working as a chef, but got fired due to her being "too experimental" with some dishes. She worked and got fired from a total of 9 jobs within 4 months. Due to her lack of money for rent, she was kicked out of her apartment. Fiona sat down on the curb as the rain began to pour, she was hopeless. Until, someone came up to her and offered her a hand. It was the owner, who invited her into the café for a drink to warm her up. After explaining her story, he offered her a job and a place to stay. She accepted, extremely grateful for his kindness and since that day has tried her best to be the best employee she can to repay him, even if she believes she can never do enough to do so.

Position in Café: As a barista, Fiona is responsible for making the drinks for the waiters to serve to the customers after receiving their order from the cashier. On her off time, she experiments with new mixtures and drinks to possibly add to the menu. She usually drowns Jason and the manager with menu suggestions each day, most of which are declined or put on the "secret menu" (which most likely doesn't exist)

Magic if Applicable: Fiona possesses basic elven nature magic such as growing plants, speaking to animals, and healing. She mainly uses it to help with decorations such as potted plants or to heal burns and cuts on other employees.
Relationship Status: Single
Extra: You can tell which apron is hers based on the various stains.

Name: Akane

Nickname: A-chan, Nene

Age: Looks around mid twenties

Race/Species: Demon

Gender: Female

Gender Identity: Female

Sexual Orientation: Demisexual

Personality: Akane is carefree and reckless in nature, and, despite her consistent brawls with enemies, she is a fiercely loyal and protective friend. She is willing to go down fighting for them, regardless of how futile it might seem. Akane has a straightforward mind, and often tackles issues with a “hands on” approach. Her solution to problems often involves violence. Even when disrespected or faced with obvious hostility, Akane rarely ever reciprocates the feelings, and often forgoes grudge-holding. She did, however, hold grudges back when she was one of the demon lords. She commonly exhibits perverse tendencies towards employees. Akane has already grown past wanting to prove her strength to others, mainly because she doesn’t want people to be even more afraid of her. Due to her reckless nature, Akane’s fights usually end with widespread destruction (when not in the café, it rarely happens that she does). Her love of fighting has allowed her to develop a rather strategic mind, helping her to, on various occasions, find weaknesses in her opponent’s techniques or simply weaknesses her opponents themselves possess.

Backstory: Until just about 6 months ago, the day she started to work in the café, Akane had been one of the demon lords terrorizing the realm. Being known as the “Heretic”, it wasn’t unusual for her to wreak havoc with those who opposed her territory which was mainly the demon castle where the others resided. Usually being one of the commanders during war, instilling fear into the enemy squadron upon sight. The battlefield was never left unscratched as the ground was torn apart, holes the depth of an entire human being or worse, even what was once a lush forest was now barren. Luckily enough, the demons almost never took action unless they were provoked besides one who was shrewd to the core. Picking fights with humans whenever they could by manipulating people into doing the dirty work for him, taunting nobles, even kings if they were in a bad mood. He wasn’t called the Joker for nothing… A true pain in the ass if you would ask her.

The main reason for Akane to leave her title behind her was due to her having other desires than just smashing buildings into pieces, political strategies, and so on. One day, a hero barged into the castle with his entourage, threatening the existence of the demon lords without much ado. Finally, something interesting was happening but what she didn’t expect was that the exact human was someone she had gotten along with over the years despite their differences. Torn between what to do, she was practically forced to fight for her side. The battle was fierce, both sides having lost allies in a gruesome manner. Eventually, the demon lords were forced to admit defeat as they had lost 6 out of the 9 lords due to being outwit for the most part. Akane was mainly torn that she was stabbed in the back like this, especially since this person was her first love.

It wasn’t easy however to roam the towns without hearing screams here and there once they caught a glimpse of her appearance. Eventually covering herself with a thick, dark cloak so she wouldn’t be easily recognized. A few days went by before she managed to find the unusual looking café where all kinds of people worked. What was even more odd was the fact she got even accepted as security. Anyway, it was a new beginning she was kind off looking forward to.

Picking fights with humans whenever they could by manipulating people into doing the dirty work for him, taunting nobles, even kings if they were in a bad mood. Samantha is a rather odd woman in more ways than one, though she always appears incredibly
composed
no matter how strange her behavior may seem; Everything she does carries intent and
confidence
that is often more notable than whatever she may be doing. Samantha carries a kindness behind her glassy eyes, especially towards children whom she gives the most attention. The Woman is rather
diligent
, making sure the Cafe is in "proper order" and tending to customers or helping out staff. Whenever not on the floor, one can usually find her in the managers office sitting completely still while drinking a cup of tea extremely slowly; at least when shes not counting coin, writing a report or order for her Boss.

Samantha has an entire list of very oddly specific and strange mannerisms though most never bother to ask, and over time many have simply gotten used to them; Some regulars and even staff like to play a sort of bingo with it on occasion. Many often mistake her for the Owner of the cafe on account of her constant hard work while others, usually men, come from all over to gawk at her horrific beauty. It's not uncommon for customers to attempt to court her, though their efforts are easily dismissed. Samantha isn't always the easiest person to reach and can come off a bit
dense
or old fashioned.

Samantha was created by her 'Mother', a secluded Witch banished for their taboo experimentations very long ago in a distant past, from the corpse of a Vampire, an inanimate porcelain doll, and a soul vessel of unknown origin. All fused together into the amalgamation known as 'Samantha' though as far as the Vampire's corpse there is no information of who they had been nor anything left of their original being in Samantha. The body is animated much like any other automaton and not revived, making it still very much just a corpse. The inclusion of the unusual soul vessel allowed for the newly born woman to utilize magic just as her Mother did, allowing her to classify as a registered Witch.

Forgotten rumors tell tales of a doll-like woman who devasted entire armies on her own, turning the tide of entire wars, while other whispers speak of a porcelain angle that bestowed divine grace upon battlefields littered with the left behind sick and wounded of both sides. Though all of it is just hearsay, Samantha was found in the cafe's attic seemingly dead or rather, as inanimate as she was before being 'made'. Covered in a thick layer of dust, slumped over in a chair that had long rotten away, and yet when Jason had approached the woman's dead eyes moved to meet his before filling with a deep blue glow.

Samantha had been working at the cafe ever since without question nor complaint.

Oh my sweet doll daughter!

1642864199161.png
Name: Dahlia
Age: 22
Species: Fairy
Gender/Gender Identity: Female
Sexuality: Lesbian!
Magic: Calming Aura and Runes and Sigils that she draws on people's cups (ex: customer comes in looking beat tf up and she draws a healing sigil on their cup, customer talking about going on a dangerous journey gets a protection sigil drawn on their cup, etc so on and so forth.)
Appearance: Dahlia has pretty green eyes and beautiful pink hair she wears with a yellow bandana in like the way all the cottagecore girls wear it and she wears a pretty floral dress.
Personality: Dahlia is a very friendly and bubbly person with a calming aura that just makes everyone around her feel at ease and feel like they can talk to her about their problems and just generally what's going on in their lives. You can always find her walking around and talking to all the customers like she's known them all for years and you can tell that she genuinely cares for each and every one of them. She also is a bit of a flirt and will sometimes flirt with a pretty girl when they come in and perhaps writing her phone number on their cup ;). She loves helping out the customers when they're sad, or hurt, or have a problem and will draw sigils on their cups and suggest Teas for them that will help. She loves her coworkers like family and to her they really are like family.
Backstory:
Dahlia lived in a cute little cottage in the woods with her family, all fairies just like her. Everything was great, it was peaceful and happy and copacetic. She had a nice loving family, they didn't have a lot of money but they weren't poor either. They got by and went by with their daily lives, they had a cute little garden they tended to every day and they would use their fruits and vegetables in their cooking and baking and sold the rest in the town market, and they even had a cute little cat. They were very friendly and knew a lot of people around the town, they had lots of friends and were well loved by a lot of people. That all changed one tragic day, when her peaceful life with her family came to a very sad ending. One day Dahlia had went out for a walk with the family cat Dandelion and when they had returned home they had found their home burned to the ground with all her family inside, they were dead. She gathered all her belongings that were not destroyed in the fire and she and Dandelion ran away as far as they could into the Town. Now on their own they wandered around the town aimlessly looking for a place to settle down until they eventually ended up finding the café. There she saw Jason, a very nice guy her and her parents had sold wares to many times in the town market. She had informed him of her family's death and they talked for a while and eventually she ended up becoming employed at the Café and living in an apartment above the café.
Position at Cafe: Waitress :)

My sweet fairy girll.

Name: John Greatsworth

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Species: Eldrich Demon

Personality: Quiet is the main thing that is described about him, often described as a calm and uninteresting man by his freinds and co-workers, not many know about his past besides the manager of the place he works at. Though at heart he’s actually quite kind and gentle hearted often being a sweetheart to the younger ones who work at the café where he cooks at.

Though some people describe him as a scary and alerting figure, often spooked out by his calm demeanor and unsettling aura that he gives people. He often never puts his opinion out there and really doesn’t fight for himself in arguments.

Backstory:
Tragedy. One word to sum it all up for him, he grew up in the lower class of wealth. He was born with a twin, his father was a drunk alcoholic, and his mother was a woman who worked the streets or better know as some who sold her body for wealth.

After she gave the twins to their father life only went downhill from there, his father would beat his sister daily, no matter what she did, that was until one night John had enough do this, while the father was using a broken bottle to beat the poor girl, John snuck up behind, hold a glass shard and repeatedly stabbed him in the neck killing the man.

At a later time, John was found by Jason, the owner of the cafe, stealing food from the café alongside with his sister who was a look out for the boy, but once he was caught he was destined to stay there.

Position at Café;
John works the face in the kitchens and works as a cheif alongside two others, though baking isn’t really his specialty of cooking but specify in meat and smoking, alongside anything that involves vegetables, fruits and meats. He plans to improve his skills in cooking.

Aww. My sad little demon child!

Definitely!

I just see John being that awkward shy dude that’s awfully adorable, but yet serious at the same time!

“What? Are you looking to get punched in the face?”

Name: Esai Reginald.
Nickname: N/A
Age: Around Mid-30.
Race/Species: Weird cat-person.
Gender: Male
Gender Identity: Genderfluid, He/Him They/Them pronouns.
Sexual Orientation: Equal to a shrug and a wiggly arm motion. (Questioning homoromantic)
Appearance:
1642883626024.png

(he’s a dapper boi)
Personality: Criminally mean and honest. They will speak their mind if it ends up with someone getting hurt emotionally or physically. He's fine with both things happening. Esai is egotistical, but he's actually good at the things he brags about, giving him an amazing ego and self-esteem. He's not the one to back down in an argument when they're called something they don't want. Reginald is also somewhat flamboyant, there's always a bit of emotion in his movements and a sway in his hips. They're constantly adjusting their glasses.

They're also some sort of poet, enjoying the art of writing. They're constantly reciting poems about leaves, nature, and trees to calm themselves down when needed.

But, despite his mean demeanor, Esai is great at emotional support and knows when he *really* hurt someone's feelings, he's very reluctant to help you, though. And we can't forget a sad side, but that'll come in later.

Backstory: Esai has been a master brewer for most of his life, making tea all around the world. And of course, the fame got to his head. Getting really popular, he decided to get an actual job at a small cafe, after he had met the owner in one of his 'tea trips'. And he's been working in there for most of his life, buying himself a house close to it. Esai's background and fame helped the cafe grow in customers.
Position in Café: Barista, of course. Esai always tries to take the spotlight from other baristas, and well, he does. Many people recognize him and orders get quite busy from time to time. Of course, he brews tea. They're also somewhat good with making shaken drinks, like those you see in movies where someone shakes 2 grey bottles to make some drink (I hope you get where I'm going with this-)
