Isolated from the outside world, lies the seemingly sleepy Bright Academy.
To outsiders it's nothing more than a remnant of a time long past, a time of elegance,
mystery and magic. However, on the top of Mount Peru, inside that ancient castle,

the old ways persist.

To whom it may concern,

You have been invited to attend Bright Academy of Magic. Bright's is the foremost
leader in magic education, with a history leading back to the Founders of Idis (The Alchemist-
created source of all magic.) Yes, yes. All quite amazing, but get ready to buckle down because your ride
henceforth won't be easy.
We offer a number of classes, all equipped to help you achieve
your goal for
advancement, and our goal of producing the finest mages this side of Pumpernickel Bend.
Below you will find disclosed all the relevant forms and schedules, to be submitted
before the beginning of the season, should you wish to join us.

Your presence at this academy should be of the utmost secrecy, and so if you decline
to join us you will have your memory erased. I'm sure you understand.

Congratulations. We hope to see you soon.

May the Idis burn strong.

Signed,
Headmistress Elise Lockwood

*More information on the point system can be found under the "Other" forum found above. The 'Student Directory' in the "Classrooms" spoiler.

*More information on the dueling system can be found within the "Dueling Room" section of the 'Student Directory' under the "Other " forum.

I encourage this to become a very imaginative RP, with each player being able to contribute. Due to this, rules are added on and made as players find their steps and add some of themselves. Don't like any of the pre-existing races? (Found in Lore) Create your own ! Just be willing to do the work so we can add it to our Lore section. This applies to most features in-game.

The point system and probably far too elaborate inter-forum areas may seem complicated at first but let's give it a go, seeing where adjustments for a smoother RP can be made as we go. Any and all opinions for improvement are respected and appreciated.

This "Main" area is used for all chat not occurring in Classrooms or the Duel Room. Due to Bright Academy's desire to remain 'undercover' the scenery is always shifting and changing.

*2 paragraph minimum please :)

Elise Lockwood - Headmistress Sunday 8:45

Sitting, her legs crossed, at the desk in the middle of her office, Elise pressed a well-manicured finger down upon the intercom. It was the first day of a new year at Bright Academy, and she could practically smell the potential streaming through the doors. These days always excited her. Who would be walking through that immense archway into a future filled with magic? How would their lives integrate into the history embedded within the castle walls?

"Good morning students. If you are returning, we wish you great success in the coming year. For those new to Bright, we extend a warm welcome. Our staff are eager to assist you settle in. Boy's will be sleeping in the dorm rooms to the right of the main building. Girls to the left. Lets keep it that way. Each area is fully equipped with a shared room and a communal kitchen. My office can be found on the fourth floor, Room 466. However, more often found, I'll be coming to you.

We urge you to explore, befriend and have fun at Bright but remember your purpose here. This is the most prestigious academy on the continent and we expect that your studies will be taken seriously. Classes start tomorrow. Have a wonderful year. May the Idis burn strong. "

With that, her voice ceased its echo through the long, window-framed halls. She clasped her hands together and leaned back in her chair, wondering what the year would bring.

Elicio Rai had idled outside of the academy, walking around the flowering shrubs growing on the grounds, encumbered by the large amount of luggage he had with him. The returning student was always left in a state of awe filled anticipation at the sight of the building, it held a powerful presence. Who would he meet, and what new places would he find in the ever-changing school? Wearing a dark blue silk baseball jacket, embroidered on the back with a tiger and a disproportionately large koi. His white shirt was graced with the improperly translated phrase 'The hardest worl is to goidle'. After stopping to sniff the roses, he turned his head upwards to look at the sky, in a jovial mood as he walked through the school's ornate entrance. He kept an eye out for any new students who looked lost as the voice of the headmistress sounded over the intercom. He headed in the direction of the dorms, in desperate need of setting down what he'd been totting around.

Dead tired, Tuesday was running late, he'd woken up much too late. He threw himself out of bed with a spasmodic pinwheeling of each limb. Dressing as quickly as he could, the xana rushed out of his estate house, which was local to the school. The very idea of breakfast was abandoned, what sort of impression would it have if he were devastatingly late? While today was no doubt just a proem to the school year, the boy could hardly stomach the idea of running behind on time. He kept his sight on the large academy in the distance, trying to maintain a steady pace despite being winded.

Casey practically danced through the gates of Bright Academy. She had taken transportation to a settlement of humans at the base of a large mountain, only to find that the academy she was to attend lay all the way on top! After a long, tumultuous journey up a narrow path, she had finally arrived. Not a single soul had passed her on the way up but she didn't let the frustration that wanted to rise (due to the knowledge that everyone else knew the right way in) dampen her excitement.

She was here! Her face was flushed, her hair sweaty and disorganized but her open-mouthed joy was unmistakable. Behind her a large black suitcase rolled over a cobblestone floor leading into the gardens. The sweet scent of roses drifted through the air. Casey noted the precise architecture, the well-manicured plant-life and the gentle trickle of water from a source she couldn't see. It was as if the school had a life of its own.

When the voice of the Headmistress echo'ed through the grounds Casey became bewildered. Where was that coming from? Could- could that voice be reaching through the entire campus? How amazing magic was! She let out a little squeak, pulling a hand over her grinning mouth in embarrassment upon seeing a boy probably a year younger than she was.

"Oh!" She gasped. "Oh!" She said again, directing it this time at the boy. She extended her arm towards him, the sleeve of her pink jumper clasped in her fingers. She moved, with difficulty, towards him - bringing her bag along behind her. "Hey! Sorry. I hope you're not as clueless as I am. Oh, I - I didn't mean that in a rude way. It's just I'm new, and I was hoping.." She laughed. "Well, do you have any idea where I'm supposed to be staying? The lady said to the left but.." She turned around, her sense of direction severed by the trip up. "I seem to be a little flustered." Her head tipped to the side and she smiled at the boy. He seemed friendly enough.

Al though this was his first year at the school Shin had a small idea as what to expect. But his expectations were very underrated upon arriving to the school. at first his family was skeptical about sending him off to a private school, but he played it off as if he didn't want to go and that it was a school of discipline than of anything else. Not to mention free.... He honestly had no idea how he convinced them of that. But sure enough here he was walking towards the dorms in search for his dorm room. He seemed rather proud of himself when he was able to find his room. A simple backpack of a few things in one hand while the other held his schedule and dorm key. He opened the door and found it rather empty. He liked the quiet and the darkness of the room. He was use to those kinds of things by now, but his eyes railed the room and landed on the fact that there were two beds. He spent his whole life with a very large family. He didn't liek the idea of sharing a room, but at least he would only have to share it with one person...... No he only hoped that the other person was like him.... Who liked quiet over conversation.

Shin took the bed in the back part of the room, dropping his bag on the bed before looking around even more. The room was simple yet officiant. Two desks, two closets.... Two of everything, with a bit of space for each roommate to have their own side to their liking.

Classes wouldn't start till tomorrow, giving him some free time to explore or even get to know other students. Sadly Shin was the loner type. He was never good at making friends, so venturing out to meet others was a bit pointless at the moment. Before even coming to the school, Shin told himself that he would only be here to learn. He let out a small sigh as he took a seat at the small desk. He started to look through the drawers just out of curiosity.

Ever since becoming a Professor at Bright Academy, Graves found the first day to be one of the most exciting. His classroom was found in the basement of the school along with the door to his own quarters. The class room was relatively large as his class would need the space for their future activities. He walked from the classroom to his personal quarters only to find yet another large room. Yet this one was full of books, tools, magical items, some small magical creatures in their cages and his personal belongings. He was never one for organization... To the untrained eye, one would call this a mess... To him... He knew exactly where everything was. He stepped over to a tall wooden cabinet and opened the doors, revealing cooking utensils, scrolls and more strange items. He moved a few things aside and found a little black mug with a grave stone painted on the side of it. He smiled to himself as he took a small tin canister that sat next to where the cup was.

The canister held a skull and cross bones on the side of it. Most would think this was poison of some kind, but really it was a hiding place for his tea. Taking his items he decided to head off to the teacher's lounge to interact with the others. He figured most would be excited for this day as they had waited some time for the new year to start.

As he moved about the grounds it was easy for him to spot the new students from the old. Most of the older students of course greeted him with smiles and small words. He could recall first meeting these students when they had first arrived. They were scared of him and some wouldn't even make eye contact once they knew who he was and what his firld of magic was in the past. But after having some of them in class or in detention, the students found him to be a somewhat weird yet pleasant teacher.

He made his way into the teacher's lounge and was quick to the tea kettle that held the hot water he needed.

Elicio heard a girl's voice call out to him and quickly turned to face her, he saw a lot of himself in her mystified reaction to the campus, he got lost for an entire night in the school during his first year, such was the way of the shifting corridors. "Don't sweat it!", he said cordially," I felt the same my first year, it gets easier though. Here, I'll show you where to go, it's just to the left here!" he said attempting to quell her scattered thoughts," The school's incredible don't you think? I'm always impressed by it". He rearranged his armfuls of bags and altered his path to head in the direction of the girl's dorms. He suddenly remembered to introduce himself, extending her hand to her," I'm Elicio Rai by the way, and you?" He listened to the life of the main building as they passed through it, graduating, returning, and new students speaking together or remaining silent, he rested his eyes on their many faces as he walked. So many different people came to Bright Academy, the prospect of it invigorated him.

Still Running.

The sound of Elise's black high-heel pumps clacked through the sparsely populated hallways. Her hands were gently clasped behind her back as she surveyed the campus. It was her duty to ensure everything was in order, you see. As long as she has been head of Bright, everything was just that. In order. She had no specific destination in mind, walking more for the sport of it. There weren't many ways in which Headmistress Lockwood demonstrated spontaneity outside the battlefield, but aimless - no, her actions were never aimless - unpredictable walks through campus was such a way.

It's always good to relax for a moment and clear one's thoughts. But only a moment, mind you. Lest one become's slack.

Upon passing the teachers break room she halted, balancing for a moment longer than some would think possible on a single 5-inch heel, before purposefully turning to the open door. She hovered beneath the frame, smiling politely at the man inside. "Professor Graves," She spoke with warmth and enthusiasm. "So lovely to have you back for another year. How was your break?" Glancing at the kettle, she wondered if it would be worth coming in to make a warm cup of tea.

Joey walked into Bright Academy the same way he did every year, like he owned the place. In his mind - due to a generous donation from his parents - he partially did. In his mind only. This didn't award him any special privileges, as it was policy of Bright that each student be respected as equal. This policy, which may have seemed like obvious etiquette, was instated after an Elfish King dominated the surrounding area and demanded that magic be taught only to his own kind.

Nevertheless, Joey walked into every situation like he owned it but whether or not this was testimony to his skill as a wizard is questionable. He had attended the academy for 2 years now, and he recognized a few familiar faces while making his way to the dormitories. One of those faces was Elicio Rai's. In the past their interaction had been limited, side from Joey's usual non-specific snide comments in the Alpha Dorm common room. Most of his friends had graduated last year, leaving Joey without his usual posse.

Noticing the girl side-by-side Elicio, Joey took long, confident strides towards them. His backpack hung over one shoulder, its strap caught in his right hand. "Gooood morning." He bellowed as he caughtup. "Lovely morning ain't it?" He grinned at the girl, sparing a wink in Elicio's direction. "How you doing little one? Long time no see." His words were directed towards the boy.

"Thank you so much!" Carey beamed at the boy. Each moment overwhelmed her more and more. Her large, pale green eyes eagerly absorbed the campus. Mind buzzing with questions and anticipation she introduced herself. "I'm Casey. Casey Truemon, Tell me about it! I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that magic exists and then suddenly, all of this!" She gestured theatrically with her free hand. She opened her mouth to continue but was interrupted by the appearance of a tall, well-build boy with a golden-orange mane.

Korrss
Korrss's heavy footsteps made audible thuds as they hit the ground. Korrss arrived at the teacher's lounge to find the Headmistress and Graves there, the golem stood behind the Headmistress. Korrss decided to turn into a stream of floating rocks and flew the gap above her head and reform inside the lounge, "Sorry, Headmistress." His voice rumbled, the footsteps once again as he walked. Korrss stood over a table with a selection of food, "Eggs. Bread. Hamburgers. Ah, here we are." He took a hand full of rocks and threw it into his mouth and began chewing, loud crunches could be heard. He turned around and half expected weird stares at him but this being a school with other races in it, he let the better half of his judgement say otherwise.
(I gave up on the whole "Only Korrss/the golem" thing. Would be too hard.)

Merryl Striep
Merryl sat cross-legged on a pillar near the gates of the school when he heard a voice, a woman, probably the headmistress's voice. He sat staring at his right hand, he wasn't normally one to get lost in thought but he did. Sparks started to jump from his fingertips, he slowly flipped his hand backwards so that the back of his hand was facing him. He put his hand away and leapt from the pillar and entered the school. To everyone's surprise, Merryl wasn't shirtless, he wore a plain white tanktop instead, showing off his markings which he called 'tattoos'. And so began the wander aimlessly bit, where MErryl would wander and explore a bit to get familiar with the place.
(Open to interactions)

Graves had his back towards the door when he heard an all too familiar voice. He turned to look over his shoulder to find the Headmistress standing in the door way. Her smile was indeed welcoming and so he returned the gesture. "Headmistress Lockwood." He said in a cheerful voice. "It's a pleasure to be back." He told her. He motioned to the kettle, "Tea?" he asked. Graves was always a fan of tea. He didn't care what time of the day or night, it was always tea time.

Graves thought for a moment as he poured the hot water into his mug. With a small twist of his fingers the water in the mug began to swirl gently. Child's play in magic. Simple spell for a simple thing. He turned his full attention to Elise as the water continued to move about. He gently blew on the hot brew as he thought about his time off. He turned his attention fully to Elise, "Are you sure you wish to know?" he asked in a polite voice. Graves' activities outside of the school tended to be a bit on the gory or disturbing side. He realized that during his past years at the school and at other schools where he would teach as a visiting professor.

He pondered on what he did for his break and waited for her response when one of the other teachers made his way into the room. The shape shifting teach was nothing new to his eyes, so his attention sat more with Elise. He tilted his head at the woman, wondering what she had one on her break.

Barry

The young man was starstruck. He looked around the room with his mouth hanging wide. Never had he ever thought he would reside in such a large space. It was a welcome change, as he had never even had his own room before. He thought about how much the guys back at the orphanage would do to just see this room and smiled. His hard work had paid off. Maybe his example would give them hope.

Looking at the room, it was as if it knew everything he had ever wanted in a living space. The whole left wall of the room was dedicated to a book shelf that held all sorts of magical texts and scrolls. His heart soared as if he was a kid learning about magic for the first time again.

Barry felt tears threatening to spill over, but he quickly wiped those away. He jumped back-first onto the plush bed that had been begging for his attention this whole time. The plush surface welcomed him with open arms. Never had he before been so comfortable. Barry let out a happy laugh, kicking his feet with excitement and happiness. Life was so good right now.

After finishing his little happy fit, Barry looked to the gold colored (fake gold) watch that he had worn for years now. The face had a slight crack across it from the trials that he had previously faced when becoming one of the chosen. He could have gotten it fixed or even bought a new one with the prize money that he had earned, but Barry couldn’t bring himself to do such a thing. It was a great reminder of everything he had gone through to get where he was today.

β€œGuess I should go meet my colleagues…” Barry said nervously as he got up from the bed. One would think being broadcasted live for millions of mages for two years would mean that Barry had nerves of steel, but that was definitely not the case.

Some walking later, Barry arrived at the break room to find the headmistress standing in the doorway and gave her a big smile. They had talked a bit previously after he had accepted his teaching position.

β€œNice to see you again!” He greeted. Approaching the door, he looked past the headmistress to see that two of his colleagues were already inside.

β€œI hope I’m not interrupting any conversation.” Barry said with a nervous smile. β€œI’m Barry Mac. I’ll be the new Defensive Action teacher!”

He looked to the two professors. Wow, the last time he had seen a stone golem was when one was trying to pummel his face in. Those were good times. Barry looked to the other teacher with pure awe.

β€œAre you Jonathan Garland?” Barry asked in amazement as he slid past the headmistress. Hopefully he wasn’t being incredibly rude right now, but he was a huge fan. The young man took the professor’s hand that wasn’t holding the cup of tea and shook with both of his. β€œI’ve read all about you! Is it true that you basically helped develop the idea of clean necromancy?! Coming up with a new category of magic must have been impossible, I couldn’t imagine doing it myself.”

Once he realized he had been shaking the professor’s hand for much to long, he let go and laughed nervously. β€œSo sorry. I’m just such a fan. I’ve tried so hard to study Clean Necromancy, but I’ve personally never been able to cast a spell in that area no matter how much I read about it. It would be amazing if I could sit in on your class sometime!”

Elijah

The thought of staying in one place for more than a month was weird for Elijah. It was something that had never happened before, and he found himself nervous, but very excited. Perhaps he would actually be able to make some friends for once. He was a fairly friendly person, so the problem was never him, it was just impossible to keep in touch with someone when most places you stayed at had no signal.

Elijah had just finished unpacking his bag and was now gently pushing his neatly folded clothes into the dresser on his declared side of the room. It looked like his roommate hadn’t shown up yet. He wondered if he even had one. It would be nice if he did. Since he had always had his parents around he had never been alone up until this point and it was…unsettling to say the least. Having someone in the same room as him while he slept would make him a lot more comfortable.

He stepped from his room as he heard the voice of the headmistress echo throughout the halls. The announcement reminded him where he was and excited him to the very core. Magic had always been such a mysterious thing to him, but now he would get to know its capabilities.

As he walked outside, he saw a rather tall and well-built man wearing a tank top. Elijah stared, inspecting the markings on the man. Throughout his adventures he had seen many different markings in his life, and while the ones this man bore could be tattoos, they looked oddly familiar. A…Denki? Elijah thought, staring longer than a normal person ever would at a stranger. That was impossible. Throughout his whole life and all his adventures, he had only met one of the Denki kind. They were basically extinct. It was probably only his imagination.

Just then, Elijah realized how long he had been staring. He wondered if the man had seen him. He looked rather tough, like he would punch poor Elijah in the face for what he had done.

β€œOh. So sorry, I didn’t notice I had been staring so long until now…I just thought your markings were very cool.” He said with a smile, pointing to the marking on the man’s arm. β€œI thoughts they looked familiar, but I don’t know. I’m Elijah by the way, Eli for short.”

Might as well make use of the awkward encounter that Eli had so nicely made for himself to possibly make a new friend, or a new enemy. Who knew. Elijah tried not to judge a book by his cover, but this guy was pretty scary.

Graves was about to take a sip from his cup when a new face slipped past Elise and into the room. He was taken back when the young man came right up to him and started to shake his hand. Professor Garland was mention just before the man started to ramble on while never letting go of his hand. Graves was already weird or strange around new people. Most of the time they didn't just come up to him and start touching him. So this was indeed new. Graves let go of his cup, letting it float in the air next to him. He wondered how he was going to do this... He awkwardly removed his hand from the other, just as the man let go of his hand.

Before Berry could say Clean Necromancy, Graves placed his hand over Berry's face, muffling his words.

He paused for a second after the man stopped talking and place a finger in the air. "You have me mistaken with another." Graves removed his hand from Berry's face. He took a large step back as he took his tea back up in both hands this time. Maybe if his hands are full, no one would want to shake hands with him. Normally, when others found out that he practiced Foul Necromancy,, they would stay far away from him as possible. "I am the school's AP Mythical Biology Professor." He told the man as he finally got a sip of his tea. Graves started to feel a little better with just the tea alone. Oh how the small bit of warm liquid could brighten up any day and any situation.

"You know, I think I will," she replied to his offer of tea. She moved gracefully towards the kettle and poured some water over a cup of mixed herbs. A quick glance over her shoulder made her aware of the appearance of other Bright Professors before they spoke, "Come now." She spoke to Graves, edging him on. "You know I always find your tales delightful." Cupping her mug in both hands she blew lightly over the waters surface, stimulating the unleash of thousands of minuscule warm, floating water droplets.

"Good morning Korrss. I hope those are to your liking. We took a trip to Mount Furamaki a few weeks back and I thought I heard you say something about wanting to try the rocks there last year." She took a timid sip at her tea and burnt her tongue. She stuck it out for a moment, noting the bright red tip before raising amused eyes towards the interaction between Professor Graves and Barry. Her head tilted towards the side and she chuckled softly.

"This is young Barry Mac, our new Defensive Actions Professor." She took it on the introduce the two. "He won The Test of the Chosen last year. The youngest to do so, I hear. We're very lucky to have you with us Mr. Mac, so we'll forgive you your mistake." Her smile was kind as she spoke. "They do have a similar.. something I can't quite put my finger on. and appearance wise they aren't too contradictory either. Come, have some tea. We were just discussing Professor Graves latest adventures."

Korrss turned and looked at the Headmistress, eyes wide. He swallowed the rocks in his mouth and nodded, "Mount Furamaki? That journey is perilous to the untrained." He nodded, "Yeah, no they're good. Not as consistent as I would have imagined but hey, can't have everything." Korrss looked at Barry, "Hello, I'm Korrss, I'm a stone golem. I'm made of rocks, as you can see, but don't let that intimidate you, you don't need to be afraid unless you're made of scissors." Korrss chuckled once, "A little rock-paper-scissors humour for ya." Korrss had a very stale sense of humor, his jokes tend to be so dumb that they are actually funny, but few ever get that so the room just ends up being more confused then anything. Korrss walked over and sat down, he did so with an audible thud. Having had his fill of rocks today he quietly listened on to the story.

Merryl heard someone talking about marking, he immediately just assumed they were talking to him so he stopped and turned to face whoever was talking to see a boy, "My markings? Hmm, oh yeah. They've never been called cool before, so thanks." Merryl raised an eyebrow when Elijah said they looked familiar, "Yea? Nice t' meet ya, Eli. I'm Merryl Striep, pronounced 'Stripe' but you can call me Merryl. You thought they looked familiar? Like ones on a Denki?" He asked in his little Australian accent, "Well, I am a Denki, at least that's what my mum always told me I am."

Barry
As what he had just done settled in Barry felt his stomach start to become disgruntled. How had he been mistaken? Perhaps his head really hadn't recovered from that nasty fall he had taken about a years previous. The young man felt like completely disappearing. He had made a complete fool out of himself and he couldn't even really explain why he had been mistaken. After hearing that THE professor Garland was working here he perhaps got a little too excited. Barry backed away from the man who had thankfully stopped him from talking before he got too into it.

"Oh no...I am just, so sorry." The man said with an awkward laugh as everyone's attention was drawn to his mistake. Barry had hoped he wouldn't face his first embarrassment of the school year until much later. That's what he got for practicing magic in his room for years on end without much else.

"Haha. I got really carried away there. Hope we don't have any hard feelings..."

Feeling as if he was an elephant in the room, Barry wasn't really sure what to do. He began to gather a cup of tea. Tea was quite the luxury where he was from, so he was very excited to try it. "You don't have to mention the young part." The young man said with a small laugh. Being called young Barry Mac felt a little weird.

He gave a little chuckle to what Korrss said. "That's a good one." Barry actually thought the joke was quite funny. Discrete, but utterly hilarious. "If I'd known all I had to turn into paper to defeat your people the Test wouldn't have been as hard as it was." He said, going along with the joke before turning to Graves. "Very sorry to interrupt your conversation earlier. Please, tell us about your adventure." He said with a smile.

Elijah
The boy grew excited as his suspicions where proven. He had never expected to run into another Denki before. It was heart warming. Thinking of a race completely dying out was extremely horrifying and sad. "Really? You're a Denki? That's awesome!" Elijah said happily. He hoped he wasn't causing any disrespect towards the man he just met. It was just so fascinating to meet a race so different from ones own. He hoped the man didn't feel like a walking zoo from all the staring he had been doing.

"Does that mean you can use electric magic?" He asked with wonder. "Great to meet you by the way. Nice accent . Australian?"

Elicio bit his tongue a bit at Joye's words, despite not knowing that much about his peer, he'd always felt that Joey, despite being a little arrogant, was an enjoyable person to be around. It was rare for Rai to dislike people in general. "Oh, Hey Joey, is feels like it's been forever since the last time I saw you, This is Casey by the way." he introduced the new student casually, adding," How have you been?" By this point Elicio had stopped walking to speak to his fellow student more easily.

Continuing to be late.

Graves smiled to the young teacher. "It's easy to mistake one for the other.... Seeing as our backgrounds are not too much different from one another." Graves shrugged.

Graves tapped a finger on the side of his cup as he once more thought about his time away from the school. "Well it wasn't much." He suggested. "I spent most of my time back in Romania." He expressed with a small tilt of his head. He wondered what kind of details he should give to the Headmistress and fellow teachers. He opened his mouth taking in a breath as he raised a finger. He had done so much over the break, but most of those things might make ones stomach turn for the worst. Especially new ears.... Possibly.

"First, I decided to stay at Dracula's castle in hopes to stir up the dead.... Ended up finding a few bodies..." Graves casually shifted his eyes away from others. He could go into how he actually cut them open and practically gutted them from head to toe. But reluctantly kept that to himself. Foul Necromancy wasn't exactly legal anymore, but because he had been practicing it before that law passed, he was able to still practice. Well, more so if he didn't plan on raising a dead army. But even now, Foul Necromancy was frowned upon.

"I was in search of the wailing spirits in the north tower." He shrugged. "Sadly that adventure came up short." When not at the school and given some time to leave, Graves found more and more opportunities to dabble back into his magic.

He cleared his throat a bit. "I did how ever... Manage to gather some new and exciting creatures for the Advanced Mythical Biology class for this year." He stated with a crooked smile. Really this meant these kids were going to dissect them. He turned to Elise, "Which reminds me." Graves paused. "I did find a few things that, aren't up to code." He watched her closely. Before she could say anything he was willing to present his case. "I've very much interested in exposing the students a few more 'exotic' beasts this year." Basically he meant full on dangerous.... In the politest way ever.

Shin spent enough time getting familiar with his room and soon found himself wandering the school grounds in hoping to do the same before class would start tomorrow. He already found all of his classrooms and multiple ways on how to get there. He wasn't one to reach out and make friends, so keeping to himself was quiet easy. But it wasn't hard to spot new students. Students that had already been at the school would rejoice with one another upon seeing their friends. While the new students wandered around aimlessly asking others for directions or help.

Shin made his way down to the dungeon area in hope to find his last class. When he applied for classes he wanted any and every opportunity to better his learning. He never got that in the real world, so when offered he took it. Even if it was an advanced class. The halls were dark and cold. He felt a little more comfortable with the slight temperature drop. He trailed down the hall and soon came up to a few doors. One set of double doors had a sign next to it. He read over the words, seeing that he had found his last class. He was curious why an AP class would be set away from the other classrooms and kept down in the dungeons.

He pulled on the door handle to find that the room was locked. He figured he would soon find out when the classroom was open.

He looked back around at the other door a few feet down. "Professor Graves?" He questioned the name. He shrugged it off and turned on his heels as he headed back to the main areas of the school. He still didn't get a chance to check out the libraries or even the court yard. Maybe this would be a good time for him to possibly find others that might be in his classes. Shin felt a small laugh wanting to leave his lips. Like he would really care?

Grimlock awakens as a spirit watching over the school as it begins to get darker. "Hmmm... how long have I been asleep..." A pain rises up in my being, "what is this feeling? hunger?...".
"Grimlock's Necronomicon" appears in Casey's baggage.
Now to simply wait...hoodedshadow.jpg
Grimlock then vanishes and returns to his slumber in the "Grimlock's Necronomicon".

"Oh?" The Headmistress thought back on the kinds of beats Professor Graves had brought back in the past. She remembered one of the extremely rare parent-teacher conferences that they had attempted running at Bright. It was quite a few years back, but the memory was tangible. One of the Mythical Biology creatures - a flying sort of fluff ball with razor sharp teeth buried beneath layers of matted brown fur -had broken lose from its enclosure due to the clumsy hands of a first year. What occurred next was a spectacle.

While at the time the event had been a nightmare, in the present moment it made her chuckle. "I'm sure we can work around a few codes. Nothing should come between students and a genuinely preparatory class. Not all of those who walk through these doors will be facing nothing but hobgoblins and fairies in their lives. I'm quite pleased with the caliber of students you produce Professor Graves. Taking your class definitely gives them a step above the rest. We're very lucky to have you."

"Hey!" Casey enthusiastically greeted the other student. "It's nice to meet you. I'd love to stay and chat but lugging this case around is exhausting." She gestured to the suitcase trailing behind her. "Oh," Her words were now slightly murmured as traces of embarrassment rose to her cheeks. "Do either of you know how to get to the academy without walking up that old mountain path?" The main reason she looked forward to getting to her room was that she was exhausted!

"Uh, yeah." Joey replied, giving her an awfully generic smile. "They teach the newbies a spell every year which gets them to the front gates almost immediately.

Casey face fell for a moment. "I- I must have missed that." It was short lived. How could one remain down AT A MAGIC SCHOOL! When the dorms appeared before them Casey stepped a few paces a head and turned to look at the boys. "Thank you so so much." She beamed at Elicio. "I hope we'll become great friends in the future." With that, and a good-natured nod in Joey's direction, she sped towards the rooms.

Pulling out the key they had received with a follow up letter Casey noted that despite walking the entire way up, she was the first to reach the dorm rooms. As the mechanism clicked and the door swung open, her heart filled with butterflies. I'm really here. She wasted no time in pulling out the contents of her bag. Out came flying her favorite pillow, a nightlight, stationary, clothing, photographs of her family and a huuuge stack of books. Casey loved books.

She took her time organizing the collection so that it would be easy to find what she needed later. In this processes Casey came across something she hadn't packed. At least she thought she hadn't packed it. "Grimlock's Necromicon." She read. "Is this a magic book?" Her fingers brushed the dust off a seemingly ancient cover before flipping through the first few pages. ""For those who wish to succeed no matter the obstacles, speak these words: 'grimlock me venire ad te animam habere, portare me ex testamento.'" She waited for a moment. Had she said the words correctly? She didn't feel any difference.

With a shrug she tossed the old book onto her bed and continued organizing her room.

Once the girl had left Joey wrapped his arm around Elicio's shoulders. He hadn't paid the boy much attention in the past but without his usual group of friends Joey was a little lost for interaction. It wasn't exactly that he felt lonely but he wouldn't be one of those nerd's seem wandering campus alone. "I've been good. Hey, she ran away quite quickly. What kind of moves were you playing?" He spoke jokingly and grinned down at the boy. "What did you get up to this break?"

Marianne stood by the entrance of the Academy, her mouth opened wide in amazement at the large building in front of her. She was in sort of a daze trying to take in the views of the surrounding area, as she could not belive she was here. Her stomach felt like she had a swarm of butterflies, fluttering inside of her. β€œYou got this Mari...nothing to worry about...it's just school...you will do fine” she softly whispered to herself trying to calm herself down. The sudden voice of the headmistress pulled Mari out of her thoughts and she quietly listened to the announcement her eyes wondering as she watched other students walked around. There sure was a lot of students as well the school seemed quite big, she just hopes she would not get lost.

After a bit of wandering around and reaching a few dead ends, she was able to find her dorm room with the help of a few people. After getting settled in she decided to explore the grounds, after all, classes would not start until tomorrow. With a mindset to explore the grounds, Mari wandered the halls as she nibbled on a muffin.

After about 10 seconds after Casey said the contract, the Necronomicon springs to life, bursting open with light as runes float around the room. A summing circle appears on Casey's dorm room floor. A voice comes from within the circle, "FINALLY!".
Grimlock then appears from the summoning circle. "Ohh my god, would you believe what somewhat of a thousand years of slumber can do to you". Grimlock reaches up into the air to stretch then turns back to Casey. The runes form a somewhat large circle around Casey and Grimlock. "Greetings, my name is Grimlock. What is your goal?"

Lilith gazed at the grand school with trepidation and glee. She was happy that she was going to attend such a prestige school such as this. Her birth parents would've sent her to low class school for people like them. Not everyone has amazing powers that would amaze and spark the imagination. No, her powers lied in manifesting butterflies, with little runes on their left wings, creating illusions of them in hundreds...Though she only managed an Illusion of 10 before passing out. She wasn't a beef tank of Mana to use when creating her butterflies. Nope, she was a small fry compared to some of the more well bred students.

She was new to here as well, having been home schooled by her adopted mother Lixue Rose. Her adopted mother knew all sorts of things, from creating undead dogs, to making the spirits very happy with her offerings. One thing she expressed was to not get in any sort of trouble pertaining saving the world, that's how she came here. She was on an self-imposed exile from her home. Lilith often did wonder if Lixue missed her home but if asked, the witch doctor would just pat her on the head and say, 'I find enjoyment living here. No one can tear you away from, less they try to face me.' And since necromancy was split into two paths, clean and foul, Lilith has been very perturbed at the idiocy of whoever did such a thing. Her mother always kept her dogs around, either for protection or just to shield her mother's lower half. She did ask what her standings were on it, 'People are people. They do what they want best. Necromancy is Necromancy. Either foul or clean, it makes no difference.' And her mother still kept her dogs around, despite it being 'foul'.

Elicio waved goodbye to the girl, laughing at Joey's statement," All the moves," he said with levity," I think she was just embarrassed more than anything, I hope she finds her room alright." He stopped briefly to think about what he'd done that summer, running the palm of one hand on the back of the other while he thought. "My family went up to Canada for a reunion, I went to a lot of orchestral concerts while I was there." He suddenly looked surprised and added, β€œMy older sister and I ended up hiking a little bit of the IAT-QC, it was incredible! I hope I can do the whole trail someday, and you?" he asked, interested to hear about Joey's summer experiences. Elicio shifted slightly, the sound of glasses clinking together came from one of his many bags, Upon closer inspection it would be impossible to notice that he was carrying a profuse amount of fishbowls on his person, whatever.

Tuesday finally reached the school, realizing that being late today mattered much less than he thought it did, the cruelest of fates. He was dehydrated, and his overexerted legs were shaking. There was probably a better way of getting up the mountain, but he didn't realize that at the time. Dazed and exhausted, the new student wandered to his room, picked a side without discretion, and collapsed into the bed until he no longer felt sick to his stomach. Getting bored, he rolled over and reached into his bag to pull out a decorative silver comb. He tied the object around his neck with a piece of jewelry cord before getting up to unpack. He caught a second wind at this juncture, now fully energized, he antiqued himself with the showers, redressed, and set out to adventure in the school. He was not overwhelmed by the school, but he was impressed by its architecture, finding it to be a beautiful building. The xana wondered what sort of person his roommate might be as he wandered the halls. What if they were a thief or were disruptive at night? He shuttered at the thought.

Lilith walked the halls, trying to get heads or tails of this place. A constant companion to her was a permanent manifested butterfly. It was much larger than her normal butterflies and its very make up seemed to be connected to the runes interconnecting in the patterns on its wings. The butterfly didn't take any many as the mana it required was taken from the surrounding area. It also was able to talk but it didn't talk to anyone but her.
"Lilith, do try and be careful. I can't help as much as I want to."
"I know, Yue. You shouldn't blame yourself for what your twin did to my parents. Your twin has done her damage to me and I don't resent her for it. She let me meet you."
Lilith said to the butterfly next to her, smiling. Anyone around her would think she was talking to herself.

Shin felt a bit pleased with himself at this point. It didn't take him long to get familiar with half of the school grounds. Well the parts where students were aloud that was. He was in the process of heading back to his room when at some point he ended up walking steadily next to another. His eyes were focused on the paper in hand than those around him. But a few words caught his attention. Two girls behind him an another started to whisper. "What do you think his twin sister did?" One asked the other rather loudly.

"Shhhh... They can hear you." The other hushed back.

Shin glanced over his shoulder at the two girls, and they were quick to try and cover up what they were talking about.

He felt curious as to what they might have been talking about, but noticed a girl walking next to him. A red butterfly floating about between them made raise a brow.

"He looked right at us." He heard one of the girls from before.

Shin felt more than confused. What were they talking about? And were they really talking about him? He hadn't even been at the school for very long and already people were talking about him. He looked back over to the girl walking next to him and noticed she was smiling at him.... Well he didn't know she was smiling at the butterfly. "You have something on your face." He told the girl flatly. Shin narrowed his eyes at her. He didn't even know this girl yet she was smiling at him.

Lilith's hand went straight for her face to get whatever was on her face but found nothing and noticed a fellow student.
"Oh, sorry. Didn't see you there. I was...What do you mean I can't tell him your name?...That isn't a logical excuse to not give your name!...Oh, so sorry! I'm Lilith Lillyia."
She said, bowing her head a bit. She didn't to come off as rude or as an airhead but she was a tad air headed, hence the hand to her face without knowing. Yue fluttered next to her before landing on her head, resting her wings.
