Cyborgs eat bullets!
In the future, a mega-corporation, known as Takigawa Enterprises, has taken over American and Japan. While it isn't officially stated, there are enough bread crumbs to follow to show who really runs things. This future is a dark dystopia where a class system has been invented, it is no longer about the rich and the poor, but instead flesh versus metal.
When augmentations were brought in the mainstream the people were suspicious of it, and those who got them. It started out for medical reasons, then came the military ones, and finally recreational. Though this distrust didn't start overnight, there was a powder keg being built. Rumor has it that Takigawa had ordered some of the news stations to start speaking against augmentations, and more specifically those who got them. But why would they do it, to keep people from noticing how they do run everything. Give the world a new boogeyman to fear to keep them from seeing what's hidden right in front of their faces. Though the straw that broke the camel's back was during a military operation.
A group of soldiers was escorting an important businessman through dangerous territories, but as they near the end of their mission something went wrong. The soldiers started killing those around them, including the businessman. After they had been killed by a group of human soldiers, Takigawa instantly gave a report that said that those soldiers had a bad part placed in their brains for the combat computer, but what they left out was that they made the part faulty on purpose.
Now with the media in an uproar about cybernetic humanoids, no longer being called humans, a divide had been made between the humans and the cyborgs. A divide that still goes on to this day where certain people will only allow humans in, cyborgs are having problems even walking around with someone throwing something at them. There are a few stars in the public eye that are cyborgs, but they are few and far between, often having sleek top of the line upgrades compared to their more bulk and rundown looking counterparts.

The look for this setting is a little bit like Blade Runner and Deus Ex since I took inspiration from those two things mostly. Now, when going into this roleplay I am going to say this upfront right now, there are going to be dark themes in here. We can discuss what themes you are comfortable with and those you are not.
The main romance I had in my mind for this roleplay would be MxM, maybe between a human and a cyborg, or maybe two cyborgs, but the one none negotiable thing for this roleplay is that it's MxM, if you are fine with that then please send me a message.
