After taking care of the warehouse group it was somewhat of a relief to hear the ending buzzer, now all that remained is a clean up of anyone who had been left out in a stable state and get them all to the medical set up outside the grounds for proper care. Sliding a hand up to her ear she starts to speak in a joyful tone, the voice being broadcast out across the cityscape "Well thats our practical assessment over for today I hope everyone had a lot of fun with what the school prepared, Can everyone please make there way in a calm orderly fashion to the entrance where a medical professional will be shortly to take care of any injuries you may have suffered during the test, don't worry it will be right as rain" giggling a little more to herself "Please follow the illuminated sights will be appearing..." a series of clicking around the city as bright blue arrows appear "Now, we will be collecting everyone though so don't worry if your having a little trouble walking...Oh and there will be refreshments available at the tent, silly me I almost forgot, after all this, you must be quite famished really". Putting down the speaker she gets back to work with the collections, her little minions coming out of the woodwork in vastly higher numbers to carry those in need, Kireina herself making her way to the Medical area shortly after to begin her work, much to the appreciation of many of the gathered students with heart-filled eyes.

The feral looking girl had been resting silent out of sight for several minutes when one of the white orb-like minions began to approach with the soft patting of its hands causing her ear to twitch, its singular eye like lense emitting a scanning beam going up and down the Alices form before beeping and attempting to pick her up for transport. It was however at this moment that their hand lashed out to sever the limb at the wrist with an annoyed growl before a twinge of pain runs through her hand as she recalls the previous events, a slow flexing of the appendage as she stands and starts to walk on her own ignoring the hoping orb seemingly upset with its sparking stump. Thinking back, It might not the best of plans but she had gotten everything she needed from it at least, though she wished she didn't still feel disappointed at the entire ordeal, it really was annoying how it was both fortunate and unfortunate for them to send that one out of all the other teachers here. Personally it might have been for the best but as for an actual learning experience? she was feeling short-changed...hopefully, the other teachers are not like that and they pushed that one off to a menial token role or something.

Many of the lesser contestants were choosing to either speed up their step or give her a wide berth as she came into view near the exit, either recalling the entrance she made through the crowd, the scene of her pushing through the city to its wall or just the general annoyed expression on her face. It wasn't until she reached the exit that she was reminded that she hadn't eaten yet today, and thus was faced with a difficult choice at encountering the seemingly endless table of cookies, pies, cakes, juice, sandwiches and more lining the outside of the medical ward, she could go to town while the good stuff is still there and eat through the pain of the broken hands...or she could get them treated first and then get what's left.

"**** it" the girl just shoves her way into the tables, hoists up a tray of chickens using mostly forarm and bicep and goes to sit down below a nearby tree as she gets to work.

Roy.png

The strange grey boy with long silver hair made his way through the crowd, he was scratched up but fine. He used most if the time during the exam weaving past the villains and even some teachers to save the civilians. He'd managed to save a surprising amount, and even got the mix up on some pros to sneak by and save extras. But now his mind was tired and body hungry.

As he grabbed two sandwiches he saw a strange looking girl sitting below a tree, grumpily munching away at a pile of... Meat???? He could hardly tell as it was ripped to shreads by the feral girl. He actually recognized her from the exam- well a blur of her at least that had shot by him saving a civilian, actually clearing a path for him.

Quietly climbing into the tree behind her he used his quirk to transform into her before hanging down from a branch upside down to look at her. Befote flipping and landing in front of her as his normal self.

"Why hello there Ms... Badger?? If my eyes don't betray me on your whole arrangement, very rugged and out there, I love it! Oh~ but how rude of me I forgot to introduce myself. Roy's the name, and I must thank yoy for clearing a path for me earlier in the exam with that little..erm..display! I've even brought a piece offering!"

He tossed the extra sandwich atop her leaning tower of chicken. Giving a warm smile he nodded with his eyes closed lightly "yes yes, with a display like yours I won't be surprised to see you topping the charts of this exam~ lucky you!"

Sitting down by the tree albeit keeping a distance where he could swiftly dodge from he continued "Fact of the matter is I think youve already got yourself set in this school, at least for a few days that stunt will set you on the top shelf of things- sitting pretty you know? Now, now I know What you're thinking: 'Well what is it you're trying and failing to butter me up for?!' Haha, you're a direct young woman I can tell by the way your eyes shoot daggers whenever I speak- hehe..."

Roy Changed into the teacher she fought for a second he kept speaking, pacing back and forth "Its nothing I want really, but something you might want from me~ We don't want everyone thinking ol' count chocula beat you in that fight do we? Just one scary girl's words won't make people think you came out on top now will it?"

Shifting between a bunch of different people than back to himself he sat down once more "But a large amount of people start... say... Playing up your victory I'm sure you'll be queen of this castle in no time, all I ask is that I ride your coat-tails or- regular tail to the top with you, a right hand man of sorts? Whatcha think?"

Roy smiled and put a hand out, prepare to either be rejected on the spot or for a bone crushing hand shake, he could go either way to be completely honest

After some difficulty using her hands to maintain a grip on the meat plucked from the tray she came another choice with two more options, either dig her face into the plate or improvise through the....discomfort. Internally sighing she uses one hand to support the other in a cutting knife motion before skewering it on the end like a fork working through the meal with frustration to at least fill her stomach rather than being stuck waiting hungrily for scraps, that wasn't how she worked. Alice carried on for a short while until her ears twitch once more, stopping as her head raises up with a faint twitch to her nose, looking up just as the form drops down low from above and glaring somewhat as the newcomer begins to speak. At the very least the lack of any cat or dog comment was a good start, in addition to sandwich ontop only for her to piercing it with a finger before it even landed to bring it up to her nose with a similar sniffing motion to her nose.

The boy seemed to either like to talk, the sound of his own voice, want something or likely all three, the latter most probably weighing the most all that remained was for him to get to the point, at least he wasn't an idiot enough to think she was a dumbass to not catch on to how it looked, so instead she keeps looking with her senses focused in on him. Then when the part about the sugar board came up and her hand slowly lowers to the plate as she remains in silence for several moments before speaking.

"Whats your name?" shaking her head for a moment regardless of the response "It doesn't really matter at the moment, Now you think you're walking up to her with an offer i can't refuse to get yourself an easy ride on a clear mark? If you want someone to ******* ride to the top like a second-rate side character you got your parties muddled up here, there's no mark here...just someone ******* sick of the way things are, riding me to the top? that **** is only going to **** up things more than they already are, even if you didn't seem to have a **** reason for doing it" Either the girl was relaxed or maybe just a tired it was difficult to tell from her tone, paying close attention as he shifted looking for changes and similarities with each of her senses.

"Tricking idiots? they have enough of a handicap already without trying to screw with them more. Now let's give you some ******* clarity of vision, people can think what the **** they want i don't care, that teachers a dumbass waste of space as far as I'm considered so other people saying I beat her ass doesn't mean anything. **** If they think I straight up beat a pro on my first crack with zero prep? They're as stupid as she was...when I do crush her it's going to be clear as a day between me and them" taking a slow breath before inhaling the sandwich "Sorry not sorry, I dont want to be some queen or empress, thats not my business...I might conquer but I've no intention of ruling jack ****, The reason im here is the only damn reason anyone should be...So yeah im not using you as shome half-assed shortcut for brownie points, Ill get everything i intend by tooth and claw...not someone else doing the ******** work for me. Either go find some other **** to shadow like some second rate side character or make the smart move and do it your ******* self" The fact of the offer seemed to have gotten her a little more worked up at a few of the implications taken from it, the fur on her body standing up slightly in agitation though at the very least she didn't attack, going back to eating though her eyes had yet to move from the boy.

Emmy stood her ground until the vary last second as the buzzer rang and the teacher spun around to miss her, she fell to the ground, her scales wings and tail all sinking back into her body as she became her normal self and was out cold.

Lexi after the bell rung and had been given a vitamin to give her energy to move around walked out into the courtyard, she walked over to the side wall and sat down burying her face in her knees.

Paris

As the buzzer sounded and Ren walked away woozily, Paris's shoulders slumped. I didn't beat him. Then a larger barrage of thoughts. I mostly just used my vines. Was I good enough? Did they see me use my roots attack for the bigger bot? Was it enough? Paris turned to Emmy, who lay unconscious in her little girl form. Paris tapped the small girl's chubby face with her shoe.

"Uhm.. Emmy?" Paris looked around, licking her lips nervously. She didn't really know what to do with Emmy... truthfully, she didn't hang around her too much. Her ambitiousness was hard on Paris's introversion. MJ will know what to do. And so Paris tiptoed away from Emmy calling for MJ, hesitantly.

"Uhm, MJ?" Paris didn't see her in the vicinity. "MJ...!!!"

Catering tables? They had... catering tables...

Lana didn't know what to expect once she found the exit, but it was certainly not... catering tables. Yes, near the medical station there seemed to be a large series of tables lined with food. Lana had stared at the offered banquet, internally conflicted over taking such a condescending offering. On one hand she would be remiss to eat in front of so many potential classmates, her methods of eating weren't exactly low-brow. On the other hand, that exam had been quite hunger-inducing, something the staff had no doubt taken into account when setting up this extended joke of an offering. She was insulted, but moreso she was hungry.

She was too practical to forego free food, even at the cost of her own dignity. Besides, she knew several of the Orphans who could clean this entire banquet out. Glancing to the side, she spotted Alice already doing her best to gorge herself whilst minimizing the use of her hands. Lana briefly wondered why she was eating like a literal brain-dead child, but quickly chalked it up to her just being a stupid animal. Turning her attention back to things of import, Lana carefully reached forward and pinched a tiny piece of sandwich before carefully bringing it up to her mouth and giving it a cautious sniff. Finding the scent to be adequate, she tilted her head away from as many people as she could before quickly stuffing the piece inside her mouth and snapping her jaws shut.

Her extra teeth went to work mulching the food into a fine paste which was quickly swallowed. Lana gave a small sigh of relief before turning on the rest of the offered dish and folding her tentacle arm behind her back. She reached forward with her hand an plucked the rest of the sandwich from the table and stretched open her jaw to take the entire thing inside. She chewed quickly, mulching it down and swallowing just as she brought a leg of chicken. That went down bone and all, followed quickly by the rest of the chicken.

While it wasn't anywhere near the feral devastation that Alice had wrought upon the offerings, Lana's attempt at graceful consumption left another dent in the offerings. But her stomach wasn't as voracious as Alice's, and so Lana stopped not long after the chicken had disappeared. Washing her quick meal down with juice, Lana finally turned away from the offerings to look for more familiar faces. She thought she spotted several faces, but only confirmed Alice again. Except... this time it appeared some boy had approached her and was speaking adamantly about something. He made some big gestures, shape shifted into a few different people, pretty much every indicator to Lana that she'd like having nothing to do with him. But despite all his efforts, Lana pretty much already knew where that conversation would end.

Blessed with the gift of forethought, she grabbed a slice of cake and carefully began cutting it into little pieces while waiting for the other hand to drop. Sure enough, Alice rebutted him with a carefully spoken yet all-together redundant tsunami of Word-Vomit as Lana carefully ate the pieces of her cake. It was only when Alice was finished that Lana finished the last bit of cake and began to take her leave, the silent entertainment of watching someone try and fail to speak to someone else already dulled by her desire to return home.

After listening to her unexpected rebuke to Roy's words it became clear to him that he wasn't dealing with the type of raw power but idiotic personality as he thought he was. Roy stood still for a moment and blinked at her response, his slight smirk turned into a dark frown for a second "Must have read her wrong... no matter." he thought to himself as he shook his head and the smirk he appeared, taking a quirk bite from his sandwich and giving himself a second to think he perked up and returned to his odd dining partner

"Haha, 'The working calloused hands are the ones that receive the softest reward' my father told me that, long before his passing anyways... I see now that I was very clearly mistaken with my opinion of you, I thought you were just as simple as the rest of these- How'd you put it...? Idiots right- Hm- well, You clearly are a lot smarter than I gave you credit for, and I'm sure this so-called: 'dumbass waste of space ' teacher knows it as well, hmhm~"

brushing his air back he shook his head with a hand placed on his chin as if he was thinking, the same smirk on his face as earlier, with closed eyes. before lifting his head up to her with a devilish look in his eyes, shrugging and chuckling for a moment before the dark frown appeared again before he addressed her fully with a spiteful gaze the warm smile still on his face.

"I suppose our little partnership wasn't meant to be, after all, little badger. It's of no matter now, I've got a clear read on... most of what you're going for anyway. Perhaps You'll be catching my tailwind in the hero course. Until than Ta-tah~!" He turned and walked away, vanishing into the crowd of faces, while changing his appearance once or twice to truly vanish before walking out of the recovery area, a few extra pieces of food in hand. "Hm, Well I doubt she'll be of much use to me here, for now anyway... It doesn't matter, I'll be the top of this school in a matter of weeks, and I'm sure If I play my cards correctly I'll be supported in the position by anyone." looking back to Alice for a moment he closed his eyes for a second before opening them with a slight tint of red, picking up a large piece of stone and crushing it in his now clawed hand instantly before his eyes returned to normal. "Besides, Anything they can do, I can do. Hmhmhm~"

Edzan Miller.png

Edzan escorted some of the students that had gotten lost out of the city, returning them to either the medical area or the food tables, writing in the exam cards quietly to himself, looking up every once and a while to survey the students that talked, ate or just sat taking their time to recover from the exam, some students he recognized others he didn't, even other teachers aside from himself were taking the time to recover from their testing of students. Delta Force brought him a plate of food, no doubt it was tired from the day as well, Edzan could hide the fatigue all he wanted but Delta Force didn't have a need to, so the grumpy looking teacher ate in between writing in the cards, as he walked to one of the tables to get a drink he noticed a girl walking away from the crowd, paying her no mind for a moment before deciding it might be a good idea to keep her on track to getting into this school. he approached her, keeping a slight distance he addressed the girl in a dress.

"You. Stop." as his words hit and she no doubt stopped she continued, slightly less bluntly as the first demand. "I highly suggest against leaving. There still some more that need be done." Truth be told, Edzan would have preferred to have left early as well, He didn't particularly enjoy crowded loud areas, and being in them while he was tired he dispised. but Edzan was sure Gatekeeper most likely had more to say before letting anyone who would listen to him leave.

He sighed "It can't be much longer, I'm sure of it. but It'd most likely be in your best interest to stick around here longer, Lana. don't feel the need to talk with anyone, just be prepared for another one of Gatekeeper's speeches..." Now that he saw her closer Edzan could tell who he was talking to, it was Lana Del' Rize- one of the orphan students that had entered the running for joining Sakura high, and one of the students he took note of when reading over the applicants. Turning to leave he said one last thing over his shoulder "Or leave. It doesn't affect me much whither you manage to get in my class or not, but if you do I'm sure you'll be thankful for my advice today." and with that, he returned to writing his notes on the exam cards.

When the buzzer sounded, marking the end of the test, Leona felt like she could just collapse. No more fighting, no more robots, just a simple walkout. Her attention, of course, left the boys soon after and fell upon the nurse's voice as she explained how to leave, and above all else, that there was free food waiting for them. That was the best part. With a smile, Leona gave them all a brief goodbye, before she booked it out of the warehouse. Nauseous, lightheaded, and about two shades paler than she was at the start of the day, Leona was gonna call this a success. Almost mindlessly, she followed the blue arrows, only pausing when she caught her reflection in a broken reflective surface that could have been a mirror, but Leona honestly couldn't tell.

Her arms were covered in healing scars and cuts. So was the front part of her torso, and half of her chest was bruised, dark purple and green. Her back looked the worst though, dark purple, almost black in some places focused around her shoulders, that was definitely from when Edzan slammed her. Her nose wrinkled at the sight of her injuries, but knowing they could have been worse, or she could have died, this was probably the best outcome. So, after adjusting her bra so it sat more comfortably, she continued towards the exit, only noticing a few other teens making the journey. This school really did make them work for it.

The smell of food quickened her exit as she reached the gate, mouthwatering as she spotted the table. Now that she thought about it, Leona was almost certain she hadn't eaten today and made her way over to grab a plate. When a familiar voice grabbed her attention. "They really let you try out? I'm honestly surprised, thought they'd have a policy on freaks." Two other voice joined in on the laughter that followed, Leona reducing to turn around as she examined the sandwiches, a sudden punch to the bruised area of her back sent her stumbling forward a few steps. More laughter followed. "Figured you'd try getting a few extra points dressing like that."

"Can't you go lower the IQ of another area? I'm a little busy here." A hand grabbed her shoulder, forcing her to turn around. The boy who had grabbed was an old friend. No, not really, he was the guy who had broken her arm and dangled her off a roof during middle school. Lost of good times with this group.

"You're mooching off the school you're lucky to even be standing near. Why don't you go home? You and all the other parentless babies can cry about the fact you'll never get in." The girl standing to his left, his girlfriend, decided to chime in, getting a glare from gorilla number one and two. Leona said nothing, glancing at the ground, then at the other tables for an excuse to dip, when her eyes fell upon Edzan.

"That guy's a teacher, you don't want to get kicked out before school even starts right?" Leona said, pointing at the intimidating man standing nearby. The guy who still had ahold of her shoulder glanced his way, before scoffing and letting go. He looked her up and down one last time, before wandering off to other people she recognized. "Wonderful, just wonderful." Leona turned back to the table, her appetite gone. She knew she still had to eat, and grabbed a few random things, a sandwich, some of the sweets and a drink from nearby before wandering off to find a place to drink. She spotted Lana, giving her a slight wave, before going and taking a seat on the ground instead of one of the tables. To be honest, she was hiding. But she appeared to be close enough to the teacher she had fought in order to ask a question. "Um, excuse me sir, but what happens now?" Leona asked, after making sure to get his attention.

The glare continued upon the boy for some time while he spoke, the words, the expression, the scent, and the other sounds...her gaze turning almost predatory for a moment before relaxing once more "Well your old man telling you after kicking the buckets not really that likely so first parts redundant, and doubt that little shit even knows the first thing about me given how just focused on the surface...but that wouldn't be anything ******* new. So a piece of advice from someone who is still kicking? Don't assume jack**** or it's going to end up in your face, and if your that sure your going to make it my all means...but your going to be on thin ice up there, and their wont be just me under it when it breaks." Taking another bite of the food to clear off the last of the plate she watches him move away before taking in the rest of the area.

A few familiar scents likely from that crappy orphanage eyes locking onto each for a moment to confirm their state, the scent of blood from a few injured in the tents as well as lingering on a teacher or two? One who at knew the name of one of hers? was he connected to them? they never did smell them around the orphanage but it's not out of the question. It was then however that her ears caught a few all too familiar comments directed at one of the Orphanage members, focusing on but not giving a reaction even as they attacked Leona, after all, it wasn't her place to act...not yet at least, the girl could either stand up to it or get pushed down. Sighing at the outcome she picks up the plate within her mouth and goes over to the tent, she should at least get the hands sorted while she can, though strangely she seems to stumble for a moment and the plate fly from her mouth's grasp....straight into heads of those that had been accosting Leona, richoting off each in an almost comical fashion and loud dings before rolling across the floor and clattering to a standstill. Alice herself didn't say another word, she just vanished into the confines of the tent without looking back at them as they held their heads in pain.

Edzan Miller.png

Edzan kept watch of the crowds as best he could to make sure nothing too rowdy happened, he was just too late to notice the assault of Leona, one of the students he had battled, the slinging of insults was all too familiar to him. The other kids didn't take nicely to Edzan when he was younger, but he never really minded the fact of his ostracization, after all, he was never really without a companion. Giving the group a menacing look as Leona gesture to him they seemed to get disheartened and backed off.

looking down at her and listening to her question, he squatted down next to her taking a drink from a can of Prof. Pepper, he spoke in his same monotone deep menacing voice. "Next we most likely listen to another speech from Gatekeeper, Than you go home. wait for the message for if you got accepted or not." he sat there for a while, just eating the food Delta Force had brought to him, luckily DF was far too tired to attack Leona, and it would have if it could, she was a clear threat to Edzan during the exam so she was a threat at all times. after about a minute of silence, Edzan cut through the chatter of the crowd "Do things like that happen fairly often, Leona. If they do why not fight back." It didn't really feel like a question more of a statement.

"As a hero- 'a beacon of hope', I shouldn't say this, So I'll say it to you as just Edzan- 'The guy who doesn't like seeing bullying' If someone hits you hard, make the tactical play and make sure they never hit you again. but never take the action first, and warn them before you or they act. Tell them messing with you will not end well."
Giving his words a second to set in before he went back to watching the crowd, he could tell by the way some of them behaved in the exam that they never had a chance of getting in past the exam, they were in it for themselves. "and if you see it happen to someone else. step in, but only if they make the first move. I can tell by when we fought you're not someone who goes down easily, so use that to your advantage. In my years of Hero work I've learned that simply being present will deter most crime, You saw it happen just now, didn't you? They knew not to mess with you due to the record I've built up. Villains know they won't get far when I'm around."

sitting next to her in the silence he sighed and stood up. looking down to her, his yellow eyes glowing slightly through his shaded glasses as he gazed downward at the aspiring hero, he already knew she would be in Sakura high, it wasn't even a matter of what he wrote, the teachers watching would simply put down the fact she had beaten his challenge and that would most likely be enough. "Come on. The speech is probably happening soon. stick with me if you like. I doubt they'll have much reason to come back and bother you now."

Pausing at the sound of a voice calling out for her, Lana looked back as one of the teachers approached. She kept her gaze even as he approached, several theories to his approach already forming in her mind as the distance between them closed. It was theory number three which was proven correct, the exam wasn't officially over. Though her face remained unchanged, Lana internally sighed at the prospect of having to stay in the company of so many people for even more of her precious time. There were so many things she could've been doing that actually had a chance of panning out. She could read a book, go for a quiet walk, call Maize and see if she'd be ready for visitors again any time soon. She could see any of those things going places, but this Exam? She already considered the odds of her getting in extremely low, so why give herself more time to think about it?

But she knew Maize would never let her hear the end of it if she backed out early... and Lana wasn't sure if she'd be able to lie about it to her so...

She nodded wordlessly to Edzan, all she had to do was wait until that Gatekeeper fellow came out and finished things off. People had done well to stay out of her way so far, so all she had to do was stay in the background until she could leave. They could send her her rejection letter and things could go back to normal. She didn't say anything more to Edzan, partially by nature and partially because she wasn't too keen on continuing their almost entirely one-sided conversation. She would be thankful? Thankful was far too strong of a word for Lana's taste. As Edzan walked off she briefly skimmed through her mind for a bit before settling on appreciative. Yes, she would be momentarily appreciative for his assistance. Then the moment would pass and the gears of time will continue spinning.

He walked off, leaving Lana to quietly place herself in the background of the scene once more. It wasn't hard, most of the other applicants were either at the food tables or grouping up. Anyone else was pretty much irrelevant to her unless she recognized them. Like Leona, who seemed to be having a talk with Edzan. Or was Edzan having a talk with her? Lana briefly watched them before turning away once she realized she didn't care. All she had to do was stay inconspicuous until she could leave... that was all... that was the only thing she had to-

"Oh... My...Gawd..."

Lana kept her eyes forward, telling herself that there wasn't any chance that the gasp at her side wasn't directed at her, but her cynical mind knew better. Just because she didn't like speaking too others didn't mean she couldn't recognize when someone was trying to get her attention. If anything, she was even more aware of it. Without moving her head, she looked to the side to see a tall girl with only one giant eye gawking at her quite shamelessly.

"What is up with the dress, girl?" the cyclops asked immediately while stepping around her "Lookin' all fancy n' junk while we's all supposed to be straight up dukin' and stuff!"

Lana returned her gaze ahead of her, resorting to her age-old-tactic for avoiding conversing with blatantly annoying individuals: strict and unbreakable silence.

"Like was I just tryin' to get into Sakura or was I waltzin' into a Con or somethin'?" The Cyclops gestured around, asking everyone and no one at the same time before spinning on Lana again "Baby you best be hittin' me with yo tailor's digits. I want some of them wild wrappins you's diggin' there."

She nodded towards Lana's covered eye, but was faced with yet more silence, which only seemed to goad her on.

"Now usually honey bear don't pump for no threads that ain't homegrown ya know? But I wouldn't be me if I let a tall order like ya'self be hoggin all o' that fire, ya follow me?"

Lana took a deep breath and folded her arms as the cyclops refused to take a hint and just kept talking. She wasn't one to crack even in circumstances such as these. All she needed was to wait a little bit.

"Didn't think one o' these could even make it through the grind like back there. How you do that, gurl?"

Just... a little bit longer...

Dante

At last it was over.

Dante's rather flawless posture remained unchanged, but at the very least, he let out the breath he'd been holding. Leona was gone before he had a second to collect his thoughts. "Well, looks like now we get to feast on the fact we aren't dead" Dante laughed, thankful his ribs was mended. Aside from the fact his clothes were torn, and the buttons obliterated, he looked otherwise perfectly unharmed. His hair, once pulled back, was partially free, giving him a more wild appearance that was only exacerbated by his open front apparel which left his chiseled core on prominent display.

Following the same blue arrows Leona had. He made his way to the banquet, likely followed by the other two guys. His stomach let his presence be known well before he showed up. Using his regeneration took a hit on his metabolism, and the vampire child was absolutely famished. He picked up a tray, loading it up with a literal pile of food. He found himself a seat where he wouldn't bother anyone, clapping his hands together.

"ITADAKIMASU!!!!" He grinned brightly before he tore into the food. He let his eyes wander. There were quite a few characters here. Only a measly two hundred or so out of the literal thousands that had arrived. Clearly Sakura High wasn't screwing around when they put out their acceptance numbers.

"Tch, take one look at that one. Probably hid the whole time" Dante's smile faded as he heard someone commenting on him.

"Yeah, not a fucking scratch on him. I bet he just hid in the rubble or some shit to try and scrape by...."

Dante shook his head. "You realize I can hear you, right?" Dante remarked with a smile that barely hid his anger. After having his ribs completely fucking obliterated and regrown, he wasn't exactly thrilled to have people talking down to him like this. "why don't you take a look at the monitors if you think that's all I did?"

Monitors around the room were displaying highlights of the practical exam. Many of them were showing the fights with the teachers. Strangely enough, those idiots got real quiet when they saw a familiar vampire grinning like a psycho facing down two teachers. Funny how that worked. Still, he didn't like showing off. But after the fucking ordeal he'd been through, he just wanted to not be hassled for awhile....

Leona nodded, ready for this day to be over with. And if that meant just one more speech, so be it. Hopefully, she would be able to claim the shower first once everyone got back to the house, she felt a little gross. Edzan's next words made her pause, uncomfortably shifting. She didn't say anything as he continued to speak, pretending to focus on the food she had grabbed. Eventually, she sighed. "Its easier like this. I know I should be standing up for myself, I know I should do something about it but...they already think I'm a dangerous freak. A monster, just because I...well, you saw." They were right. Leona knew they were right, she was a monster. Her quirk was morbid, she was even originally trained just enough to keep it under control to pass for basic office work, nobody had ever really been on her side before. "I don't want to give them any more ammunition against me. Besides, last time I stood up for myself I had my arm broken and was dropped from the roof. It doesn't really bother me anymore though, they're all dumb." She shrugged, looking off to some point in the distance as if everything she had just said was completely normal, her attention turned back to Edzan when he said she could hang out with him during the speech. "Oh...thank you." She stood, making sure she didn't spill her plate when she heard the other plate collide with those jerks from earlier. She held back a laugh, her eyes darting to Alice for a moment, before back to the three now holding the backs of their heads in pain. That was funny.

As she stood, her eyes found that Dante kid again. She was just fucking jazzed to have found another blood bender, let alone one that in her own grade. If they both got in, she would definitely have to hang out with him some more. He was talking to someone, then he seemed to point out the monitors. Honestly, she hadn't been paying attention to them, but she had tuned in at the perfect point. It was their fight. The camera's switched between Dante and Hunter, to her and Daizo, focusing in on the moment she got Edzan to surrender; Leona glued to his back by blood with the gun against his head, her expression. She had to admit, seeing it from another angle, it made her smile. Sure she was slammed off his shoulders a few short moments later and the angle went back to the boys taking out Yuri, but still. Leona glanced towards the three who had bothered her a little bit ago, gorilla number one throwing a harsh glare in her direction while the other two watched on in a mix of jealous disgust. Leona had to say, for the first time in a long time, she felt badass.

Alice meanwhile was grumbling somewhat as she glanced around the tent, she had liked hospitals and this tent wasnt much better...she just needed the bones setting maybe and something to bind them straight and her natural healing should take care of the rest, they better not try to give her any ******* pills or ****. Strangely enough, though the entire process took less than a minute once she got seen, a little bit of cracking and some weird quirk **** and her hands were good as new, saying a somewhat muted thanks to the Doctor she looked them up and down with a raised eyebrow before getting ready to leave. Ok so apparently on top of everything else she would have guessed the school hired a ******* super stripper to play the nurse if they hadn't have seemed to know what there doing...she could smell the damn hormones going wild when she headed into the tent and now she knew why damn things were as big as her head....hard not to notice whenever at her height she had to step back to see the woman's face if she got to close.

That all aside she exited the tent flexing her clawed hands slowly and spinning her wrists to work out any of the residual stiffness, just in time to catch a short glimpse of a familiar scene across the monitors with crimson fluid being flung as that midget got pushed...wait did they put the entire thing at half speed or something? a look of confusion for a moment before she shakes her head and takes in the other screens for any individuals of note.

GateKeeper

Gatekeeper chuckled to himself as he watched time wind down to nothing. He was already shuffling what appeared at first to be a deck of playing cards, but were actually Student ID cards. He had the monitors flashing between the various students he had his eyes on.

"It's always so hard to pick Hero Class candidates out from the General Studies and Support Groups..." He mused thoughtfully. Of course, that wasn't to say that some students didn't make the job easier. He chuckled to himself as he thought about the standouts. He tossed the first ID onto the table.

"Alice Cooper. Without a doubt the incoming class's biggest attitude problem." He chuckled as he looked over her picture, which looked like it was sneering at him. "Couldn't really give her a grade on Teamwork or Cooperation given she didn't really interact with anyone, but she did manage to fight a teacher for the entire time. SweetFang did go a bit too easy on her, and I swear at the end she was having too much fun. Probably got so engrossed in the fun she didn't realize where she was when she stepped out. Still, Alice showed some good combat sense against a vastly more experienced opponent. I'm curious to see if she can find people to get along with.... A Hero doesn't stand well alone... She's going to have a long road ahead of her. I'll have to watch her closely to see if she really deserves this spot..." he mused thoughtfully.

The next card he tossed out was a personal favorite. He let out a giddy squee as he spun around once in his chair. "MJ Toomes. A walking glitch. Her ability makes her a dynamic and unpredictable fighter. I just wish I got to see more in the practical. Still, her rescue scores and bot scores were great, and her situation awareness was spot on. A quirk like hers can go really far if she applies it right... Then again, I should know~" he practically giggled. The best part was, this incoming class was just getting started.

Another card flew out. "And our little dragon. I swear she's going to give people fits until they figure out her actual age. I know I had to call around several times and I still didn't believe it at first. She did pretty well against our Dragon teacher, too. She's an investment for the future. I have a feeling she's gonna be like Sweetfang and we'll have her around as a hero for a long, long time..."

Next to her, Paris's card flew out. "Another promising one. She lacks confidence in herself but.... Anyone that can sprout a tree like that in the middle of the practical exam has potential I don't dare overlook. Her scores were decent... Not the best, but I like what I see. We just need to add a bit to her confidence. Still, she faced off against a teacher. I'll call that a solid start" He mused.

Next came to the fun... He set out four cards and spaced them out.

"Hunter, Daizo, Leona, and a wild card Dante..." a grin spread over his features as he set out the teacher cards he'd already received from Edzan and Yuri. The two of them were always so prompt with reports, it was refreshing. Personally, he'd loved watching this fight. It was never intended for students to deal with two teachers, and yet it had happened, and these four had somehow gotten both teachers to surrender. To say they were likely standing at the top of the list so far was an understatement.

"First, Daizo. His quirk was pretty impressive. made him a.... pffft... big threat" He couldn't resist the pun. "He had a cool head enough to flip tables to get cover. And knows when to fall back... Now let's see what the teachers had to say about him.." Edzan's notes, as per usual, were dense, bulleted, and outlined pros and cons.

Daizo:
PROS: versatile quirk, immense physical power, clear tactical prowess, able to take a hit, calculated, aware of limits.
CONS: reckless attacker, foolish use of head on assault at times, easily predicted, large target, seems easily agitated, possible anger issues.
Overall: Requires polish in many areas, but a good candidate for Sakura high none the less

"Given how rare it is for Edzan to actually offer praise... this says a lot.... Now let's see what Yuri had to.... I don't know why I'm surprised" He chuckled to himself. In contrast to Edzan's more detailed analysis, Yuri just provided a terse, one sentence view on each student. She was more quick to give praise usually, but she was also shorter with her responses.

Daizo: "Great job providing support and debris to overwhelm my position, but should work on tactics to not wear himself out as quickly. C."

"All really good notes. He did seem to burn out fast, but I can't ignore how many hits he took from Delta Force and still stood strong. He's certainly in." Gatekeeper mused thoughtfully before looking to the next one.

"As for Hunter, his sword skills are impressive, and his courage can't be doubted. Not many men would dare try and square off with Yuri alone. My biggest complaint watching him was how... Linear he was. He has such a versatile quirk but he didn't seem to use it to its full potential" Gatekeeper scratched his chin thoughtfully. He set up Yuri's card under him. Edzan, given he hadn't really fought the swordsman, hadn't filled a card out for him.

Hunter: "Lots of potential, skilled, but needs to work on his variety of attacks. And don't use you're best one right off the bat. I'd give him a C"

"Seems she noted a lot of what I did. His ultimate attack was impressive, though. Against anyone else it probably would have worked, just sheer misfortune to come across one of our best fighters... and harshest graders...." He chuckled a little, noting how, despite besting her, both boys had only managed to garner a C grade from her. His eyes shifted to the one female of the quartet, Leona.

"Now Leona... She's probably one of the more self aware candidates we have. Not to mention one of the better team players. Honestly I'm impressed she got the drop on Edzan like that." He chuckled to himself. "It's not every day that someone gets one over on Edzan. I wonder what he had to say about it.." He mused with a grin teasing at his lips.

Leona:
PROS: smart, clever, aware of her strength, aware of her weakness, take note of openings. Shows good control over her quirk, and smart application of it, a team player. (See section #9 the shirt mishap)
CONS: Hand to hand is predictable, easily shaken by quick attacks, limited "ammunition" on quirk, easily apprehended, too confident in victory.
Overall: good fit for the academy to polish her already impressive ability.

Gatekeeper blinked, reading it over again. "I think this is the most heaped praise I've ever seen Edzan give!" He laughed for a solid minute before he returned his attention to the card. "And if Edzan thinks I'm actually going to go through and read this entire report of his, he's out of his mind..." Gatekeeper remarked at the mention of a section #9. Nope. Not reading it. He had the tldr; version and that was good enough for him!

Lastly was Dante. "Now this one... More than anything I'm impressed at how that situation turned about. Normally, adding one student wouldn't make a lot of difference but here.... He took a full blown retreat and turned it into an offensive that won against two of our most dangerous teachers. If he wasn't already in on Recommendations, he'd sure as hell be in after that!" He laughed, setting out Edzan's card first to see what the grouch had to say.

Dante de la Cruz:
PROS: immense control over quirk, long ranged ability, fast aerial movement, impressive healing abilities, stalwart, confident in own ability, quick witted, tactical forward thinking (see section 78.B the blood body hold).
CONS: shining example of over confidence in one's ability, blatant disregard for self preservation, quirk has limited 'ammunition', possible sunlight sensitivity (unsure file due to correction), foolish use of head on assaults at times (Also see section #12), announces presents while striking rather loudly.
Overall: requires discipline and guidance. Good candidate for Sakura high.

Gatekeeper had to laugh again. "I think these kids broke our resident sourpuss!" he squealed as he held his sides. "And seriously, if he thinks I'm reading SEVENTY EIGHT FECKING SECTIONS, he's out of his damn mind!" He tossed the pages skyward as they rained down around him. "Now.... Let's see what our hardest grader had to say about him.." He flicked some wayward pages aside to see Yuri's typical short response..

Dante: "Very impressive, good with out of the box thinking, but needs to work on self-preservation. Can't fight villains if your killing yourself in the process. First kid to hit me with a coolant bot, so kudos. B+."

Well that was a surprise. Frankly Gatekeeper thought that may well be the closest thing to an A anyone's ever gotten out of Yuri. A taped on extra section fell down, and Gatekeeper couldn't help his laughter. "And what's this, an Addendum that says she'll murder anyone else who throws a bot at her?" He almost fell out of his chair laughing. "Oh Dante... You may have made an enemy of your teacher before you even got to your first day!" he wheezed, slapping the desk as he tried to control himself. "If nothing else, it'll give him practice with that self preservation issue of his.." He chuckled, wiping a tear from his eye.

"Well, they should all be about done eating, or at least seated now, I suppose I should break the news~" He smiled to himself, fixing his hair and adjusting his clothes back to be prim and proper before he hit the record button. All the various monitors where the students were now showing his face.

"To those of you who are still here, Congratulations, you've lasted through perhaps the single most grueling entrance exam possible. Given you've already had a long and arduous day, I'll cut to the chase, if you're able to see this message, you've been accepted into Sakura High School. Now, if you'll direct your attention to the monitors, you'll see which course you've been accepted into along with your ranking on this exam." As he spoke, all but one of the monitors shifted to the rankings.

The standouts he'd been playing cards with before, of course, were all in the Top 10, their exploits against teachers having earned them significant bonus points. Considering the names came with a picture, there were several stunned looking students when they saw who exactly was in the coveted Top 10, which Guaranteed entrance into the Hero Course. Of course, more than just ten would make it into the Hero Course, but making the Top 10 was impressive.

"Now, if you'll direct your attention upwards, you'll get your official acceptance letters with your student IDs." On cue, portals opened over each student to drop the hefty letter into their hands. Many students were already cheerfully celebrating, others were less than happy for failing to make it into the Hero Course.

"Now, that's all I have for you for now. Welcome to Sakura High. Enjoy the food, chat with your future classmates, and have fun. You've earned it~" With that, the screen holding his face went dark, leaving the rankings up so students could look over their stats as long as they want and see where friends placed.

Minnie was running as best as she could do, although currently it looked more like hopping on one foot towards Sakura High her arms were wrapped around her neck, so people didn't step on them although that didn't help much with her leg "Damn stupid, comedic timing" Minnie said as she saw Sakura High in the distance "Nearly there" She said starting to run out of breath. Eventually making her way to the school she was grateful that nobody was out the front or in the halls as she started making her way through the hallways looking for Gatekeeper's office. Eventually finding it she used her head to knock on the door before opening managing to open it and entered "Hi sir, Gatekeeper sir, sorry I had a few problems this morni-" She started before falling face-first onto the floor as her limp, out-stretched leg was trapped in the door "Sorry like I said I'm so sorry, please tell I'm not to late. I accidentally electrocuted myself and so all my limbs went or loose and stayed out-stretched" Minnie explained "Please, tell me I'm still able to come to this school. I really, really want to." Minnie said clear tears dripping from her eyes "Listen, I'll do anything I need to do, I'll take two written exams. I jus-WAAAAAAHHH" She starts before being launched straight back into the door as her other leg goes back to normal "Oww, that really hurts." Minnie falls backwards sadly "I'll even pick up all these papers for you, I don't really care at this point I just really want to be here" Minnie said as she laid next to office's door "Gatekeeper I know you'll probably say no anyway, you missed the exam try again next year but I literally overcame a massive adversity with only able to move my head for half of the way here and a single foot for the rest of it. I would be super, duper grateful please" Minnie begged her face on the ground

The monitors finally turned back to the guy from the start of the test to prove that he could, in fact, cut the chase, her expression set in a somewhat sour look in general while still working out the stiffness of her hands. She had little interest in the entire ranking display so she didn't even give the page a second look once the accepted note was displayed and had already started walking away when the letter dropped from above her, stopping to look at the envelope for a moment before feeling the shifting of a harder object within which was swiftly cut out and the rest slotted into a skirt pocket without reading it. The scowl lowered as she saw the photo they had chosen, apparently taken at some point between her act with the midget much to her annoyance, great....this was the one they would be using? eh it doesn't matter in the end, it was a fake expression for whatever fake report was given that got her in, hey if she was lucky they would get chewed out for false reporting and not pushing the student...she could only hope though.

Sighing to herself she didn't expect to feel this disappointed after just getting accepted and the look was clear on her face, she had expected some rush, something pushing her to her limits and show what she really could do....and instead all she got was some half-assed toasters and a crappy fake she had to entertain, playing a game and not taking her seriously resulting in her doing so in turn. Sure she might have been able to step it up and go all out, but for that person? it really wasn't worth it when a few simple tricks was enough. Maybe she would find something better when the school actually started but until then she might as well use the time to push herself and break in the healed hands, the scrap yard might be getting a few new recent donations so she can go from there....after all with the "donations" from heroics it was never short of training equipment. Unless stopped she appears to just bag a couple more trays from the table before making her way out of the area at a slow steady pace. She had someone to talk to and work to do...something other than drawn-out farce pageantry the test had become.

After far too long listening to the one-eyed Idiot prattle on about clothes, Lana's patience was finally rewarded.

Thankfully, the meat-head had quieted down once Gatekeeper appeared on the monitors, but kept grinning at Lana in the middle of his speech. Lana ignored her, which was far easier without her constant drivel, focusing instead on the impossible words spoken by Gatekeeper. Everyone in this room had gotten in? That included her? Of course that didn't mean she'd gotten anywhere close to the Hero Course, but she would have to go to the school? Lana cursed internally, but figured that something like this worked for everyone in a way. Going to general courses or something like that would give her something to do, and Maize wouldn't be able to say she didn't try.

Yes, that was the thought process Lana had up until her eye flicked to the monitor displaying names. She wasn't in the general course... nor the support course... where was-?

And there it was, singled into the support course with a number of other familiar names. Lana's eye widened as she drew closer to the monitor, her stone-expression briefly giving way to outright disbelief as she wondered what exactly could've happened to lead to this. She was in the hero course, apparently she'd met some type of requirements somewhere. But how?!? They'd been under surveillance the entire time, surely they could see how unfit she was for the role, right? Lana looked down at herself, raising her hand up and clenching it a few times as she tried to figure out where exactly they had gone wrong.

No... it had to be based on capability alone... right? That was the only explanation, she'd done well enough rescuing the actors and fighting back the villains. She'd avoided contact with any of the teachers and therefore hadn't had to take breaks while saving people. Maybe they liked how she'd taken the time to save that other applicant? Whatever the case, she had to remind herself that this wasn't the end game. Hero schools were strict and did their best to weed out the unworthy early on.

Eventually, she lowered her hand at that concept. Yeah... that was all. They'd see that she wasn't right to be a hero and take her out maybe a week or two in. She wasn't pleasant or likable in any significant way, and they just hadn't taken note of it yet. Lana relaxed as the scenario seemed to favor her more and more. She'd get to tell Maize she was in the Hero Course, the little Imp would probably be ecstatic, but when she finally got removed from the course she could feign sadness and appeal for pity. Maize would do what she could to comfort her, not knowing that Lana had hoped for such a result from the very begin-

Her internal calculations were interrupted when a hefty letter slammed into the top of her head and made her stumble into a nearby wall.

"Ooooh, Baby that did not look tight." the Cyclops commented while catching her own letter out of the sky "Ain't seen a wipe-out like that since my home girl Sharice was gettin' tired of her beau and tried slidin' his piano down the stairs~!"

Lana did her best to ignore her, instead casting a glare at the letter nearby and grabbing it before reaching up to massage her head.

"Well ain't that some jazz?" the One-Eyed idiot continued talking while looking over her letter, she gave another annoying giggle before turning to Lana "Yo girl, how you score? Honey bear needs someone to compare stats with and-!"

Lana was gone before she even finished, convinced that her presence was no longer mandatory. Once she put enough distance between her and the Recovery Zone she began opening her letter and perusing its contents. Acceptance letter and Student ID, just as Gatekeeper had said. Lana paused and glanced back, looking over the rankings up on the monitors for only a second as she considered how she'd handle the other students she'd now unfortunately have to deal with until her eventual expulsion.

If they were anything lack that brain-dead Cyclops then she'd have to hone her skills of avoidance. The Orphans that she recognized were individuals she was already highly skilled in avoiding contact with. There were the easy types like Paris who was so quiet and non-confrontational that Lana barely had to try minimizing contact with her, but there were also types like Miles who seemed determined to ignore any form of boundaries. Lana was used to dealing with both, so it was the students she didn't know who would be the most problematic for her.

Plus, them being actual classmates with her meant she'd have to interact with them in some manner. It wouldn't matter to her in the long run either way, she'd learn to ignore them just as effectively.

It was only going to be for a few weeks after all.

1571700073783.pngHunter stopped to inspect the spots where he had been punched by Yuri as the other two ran off following the arrows. There were some nasty bruises but other than that he was perfectly fine. Not worth bothering the medical bay with, he'd had worse before from training with his parents. He soon made his way towards the gathering of students and the buffet where he saw Leona and Ezdan talking. While Dante was off stuffing his face Hunter decided to do the same. Then the gatekeeper came onto the monitors and talked about acceptance and other stuff which he wasn't really interested in at this point. The acceptance letter soon fell for him which he caught and stuffed in his pocket to look at later. He looked up again at the screen with TOP 10 boldly displayed with his name amongst the others. He didn't really care about his ranking or any of that, he was replaying the battle scene in his head. His judgement about only using straightforward moved against the teachers was a poor one especially with the overwhelming power divide. He had used longer swords to try and keep the melee teachers at bay but id didn't do any good which was annoying but more training would fix that. Ahhh crud he'd thrown away his weight suit... well he had another one at home but it was supposed to be the next step up from. Oh right his shirt was burnt off... well no matter everyone else was looking pretty bad. Thankfully the teacher didn't burn EVERYTHING off of him or he'd be in an awkward situation right now.
At this point he finished his food and looked around again, spotting a girl with animal ears and a skimpy suit, a girl in gothic clothes who was running off, and Dante who was still stuffing his face... he couldn't blame Dante for that since Dante had taken quite the beating without any of the conditioning he himself had. There were a few he could recognize from the video on screen he kept note of. Hunter knew that training without his weights he wouldn't be getting any benefits so he pulled out his phone to check the messages... and there were was one REALLY long one from his mom he read... and she was telling him to get a nice girlfriend... no DEMANDING was a better word for it; she cared more about getting grandbabies than him passing... how typical of her. Hunter sighed and put it away and headed over to the others. He wasn't going to bother with it now and he wasn't interested in romance yet. Well it was probably best he go find someone to talk to but who... Dante was eating, Leona was talking to Ezdan, he didn't even see the other kid that helped them take down the teachers. He decided to go see what the girl in with animal ears was up to.
"Why so glum?" Hunter asked upon walking over.

Edzan Miller.png

Edzan listened to Gatekeeper's short speech, it was more of an informational video on who got in and where they did, with a pat on the back to boot. Edzan scoffed slightly, these students needn't be coddled like children, they know how impressive it was that they all managed to get in, to be frank, Edzan was surprised at the sheer number of people that made it through the exam, perhaps he shouldn't have held back at all to reduce numbers. a slight smirk touched the sides of his mouth, it didn't matter how many got in, he knew the majority would quit after a few weeks, they wouldn't be ready for the intensity of the courses Sakura high offered.

turning to Leona next to him, after her statement of people seeing her as a monster, he physically laughed a bit before composing himself again and shaking his head, turning back to her again "Hmhm! 'Dangerous freak' 'Monster' oh please, I'm sure they don't know the first thing about real danger. they wouldn't know it if it manifested in front of them and threw them through a wall" taking off his shaded glasses and looking down to her, Leona could see his yellow eyes glowing brightly through the slight scowl of his face addressing her in much more serious tone
"Listen, Leona. they may crush you down and assault you for defending yourself, they'll break your arms and knock in your legs to make you kneel, cut your face, arms, or anywhere else. but once it's finished you stand up to them again. broken bones heal back stronger, calloused hands become harder, and scared faces grow tougher..."

kneeling down to be at eye level he continued his serious tone, the look in her eyes and the way she acted, it reminded Edzan of himself slightly. "But, you have to get back up. That's the hard part. and I know you can get back up. let them all know too." reaching up and catching the letter as it fell from the sky portal he handed it down to Leona, before pulling himself back up and looked to the portal, as it closed Delta Force grabbed his arm and spun him twice before he released him and Edzan shot feet first upwards, before landing in Gatekeeper's office, turning to the man with an annoyed look

"I don't suppose you even took the time to read my addendums, did you. I was told to have specific details and they were given, knowing you, Ryu. There is no doubt in my mind that you didn't even read a word of- Is that the addendums on the ground? did you really- Oh... a student?" he quickly turned to Minnie and look a bit confused, turning to Gatekeeper for confirmation of his question.

When Gatekeeper appeared on the screen, her attention focused on him one hundred percent. He was about to let everyone know their fate, it would be stupid to do otherwise. She was still near enough to Edzan that despite the fact those three from a little while ago had moved to a closer table, they wouldn't be bothering. Besides, they were focused on Gatekeeper too. Leona didn't really know what to make of him based on that speech from earlier. He seemed to joke around a little too much, but there was seriousness to his words. His message was short and sweet. Everyone who was still there, had made it in. The relief that washed over Leona, it wasn't something she could explain.

And next came the moment everyone was waiting for. Seeing which course she had been put in. But, Edzan suddenly laughed. It caused her to pause, her attention going to him instead of the class listings. She knew it was serious when he took his glasses off, she maintained eye contact with him as he spoke. He was...Leona didn't know how to react, she was a little awestruck. But slowly, her face hardened, eyebrows furrowing as she gave him a nod. He was right, she had gotten into Sakura High, and she wasn't going to quit. When her letter fell from the portal, Edzan catching it then handing it to her, Leona looked down at the seal. This was real.

Looking back up as Edzan zoomed off, she opened her letter and took out her ID card. The picture was from during the exam, a fairly decent quality, she had without a doubt just finished a fight though. But Leona didn't focus on the card for long, her head abruptly shooting up to look at the monitors. She scanned them for her name, standing up to get closer to one, squeezing in between a few other students, she found her name. Twice. Being acknowledged by Gatekeeper didn't just mean you impressed them, but you were in the top 10. She couldn't believe her eyes, there was no possible way she was in the top ten. But the longer that Leona stared, the more it sank in. Pulling her eyes away, she found her name in the class lists.

The exam had been over for a little bit now, but Yuri, with along with a few health care professionals, had been tasked with sweeping the area for any kids who couldn't make it back on their own, but also hadn't been disqualified. She had found three so far, one to exhausted to move, one stuck before of their quirk, and one who didn't hear the buzzard. Despite the fact, the glowing blue arrows could have given it away. Granted he couldn't really see all that well with the hair in his face, but still. The testing arena had a different feel to it when nobody was running around. The robots we're deactivated, no students, it was a bit to quiet for comfort. Like, the eerie quiet after a large battle in a ruined city block kind of eerie. In any case, Yuri had the feeling she was almost done with her sweep when her eyes fell upon two students sitting in what looked like the tenants of a teacher battle. "Hey, kids!" Yuri called out, "The test is over, you can make your way to the recovery zone by following the blue arrows!" From that distance, she couldn't tell that one of them was unconscious.

But as she got closer, and the scene was more obvious, Yuri didn't hesitate to hurry over to them. The woman recognized one of the girls from the applicant files, Paris. She was one of the orphans. It was unfortunate that there were so many of them this year, those poor kids. In any case, Yuri knelt beside the unconscious one, two fingers being pressed to the girl's throat. Just to be safe. The presence of a plus, even if it was one for someone in deep sleep, made Yuri sigh. She really didn't want to have found a dead kid. Looking up to the other girl, she cleared her throat to get her attention. "How long has she been out?"

Alices ears were a little more down than usual and the fur than seemed to line her shoulders and arms was far flatter than at the start of the exam, idly swiping the previous shirt that had been thrown to the wind before her stampede into the testing ground and slowly buttoning it up before an ear twitch had her turn their attention to the approaching figure. Looking them up and down they seemed to stare into him for several moments before finally responding, a faint twitch to her nose as she thinks back to the broadcast footage before her expression seems to drop a little further.

"Not like it matters now, but not everyone got an actual teacher or hero to fight, had to settle with some half-assed fake that didn't seem to have the first idea of how to teach or push...when the toasters were the more interesting part?" wave a free hand across the gathering behind her "Makes you realize how ******** short-changed I got and makes all this pageantry just an excuse for people to stroke themselves off and I've got better things to do than waste my time with that" turning to look towards the exit path "like something that can actually push me to get better, there is only one real way I can improve and hope to all hell that sugar board is just a token mascot to pay lip service to.....heck when a half-starved civilian isn't pushed or even evaluated properly you cant take any ******* pride in whatever number they want to throw up on their little lists....oh and apparently I was the only one with the bright idea to maybe track the source of the damn toasters so didnt even have anyone interesting to work with....just a wasted day all around other than the formality of getting acceptance stick for participating and not kicking the bucket" shoving her hands back in the pockets of her skirt, idly kicking a rock once more as it shoots off into the distance. She wasn't one for venting that much but yeah the day had worked her up more as it went on, and seeing the glimpses of the type of tests others had just added more salt onto the wound and something told her the world wasn't done ******* with her and as much as she would loathe it that she had a gut feeling it wouldn't be the last time she saw that damn mockery once classes actually started.

Paris

The teacher who approached was a beautiful and strong looking woman. Paris tried to envision herself as such a beautiful, strong woman, but she couldn't. Her voice was beautiful, too.

That's when Paris realized she was being spoken to. 'How long has she been out?' Emmy. That's right, Emmy was unconscious. After a few feeble calls for assistance, Paris had given up, zoning out nervously.

"O-oh! N-not long, only like 5 minutes or so..." As the teacher felt for a pulse, Paris blushed. "Uh- uhm! Don't worry. This... this is a normal thing for her! Except, I don't think I can lift her off the battle field...." Paris felt wimpy. There was no way she passed. Her shoulders slumped. "I... I was hoping someone would come by..." Definitely this teacher wouldn't see her as a worthy fit for Sakura. "I guess I'll just go now..."

1571785149997.png While the girl had a foul mouth his relatives from Britain, Ireland, and Scotland swore a lot so he was pretty used to it. However half of the sayings she was using were entirely unknown to him. "While I can't change the past nor do I know what toasters have to do with anything, if you want a challange I'm willing to spar with you whenever. I'm pretty sure any of the others I fought with today would be willing to as well." While he was talking he sent a few swords to pick him up a few soda's that they had on the tables. "Here, this should cheer you up some." He says as he grabs the two soda's off of his sword, offering her one. "I've got a large courtyard where I'm staying before school starts if you want to spar today. If not there's always the first few days of school. Since my parents are in the US right now I need a sparring partner anyways if you're interested." He says before remembering there was some custom behind inviting someone over he totally forgot... shouldn't be too important...
