Her body tensed when she saw Delta Force focus his attention on her, but her eyes didn't leave Edzan. Lips pursed, brow furrowed, she would rather die than give up. It's not like she had much to live for anyway. She felt the being behind her, ready for the impact, Leona was surprised when she wasn't hit. It was nothing more than a gust of wind and a flurry of small debris. Edzan admitted she had bested him. But she remained tense, only her face relaxing for a moment as she tossed the gun, well tried to anyway, when she felt his hand close around her arm. The next thing she felt was a crack as she collided with the floor. Her body spasmed, the air having been knocked out of her lungs for the second time in just a few short minutes, Leona had to wonder if he just really enjoyed doing that to people. "That...was uncalled for," The teen wheezed, unmoving for her spot on the floor. She was tired. Her bones ached, hell, muscles she didn't even know she had ached. One thing for sure, this school was going to kick her ass three ways from Sunday. She was still super excited.

He then showed off the fact the gun wasn't even loaded in the first place, Leona's face twisting. Slowly, she proped herself up, the rush of blood making her lightheaded, the lack of a good 30 or so percent of said blood sending a wave of nausea through her entire body, she eventually got to her feet. On arm went to cup her ribs, wincing at what she was positive was intense bruising at the least, she faced the teacher. "Why? Why did you even surrender if you knew I couldn't have done anything? You were just kicking our asses for 15 minutes, you don't even look that tired," She paused, "I know it was the deal, but still." Leona wanted an answer, she was curious, definitely not ungrateful, he cod have killed them. Speaking of, Dante looked dead already, having passed out standing up. At least she now knew that the school wasn't going to let their potential students die if they could help it. Leona might need to talk to the nurse lady. Instead, for the moment she simply sat down on one of the fallen pillars, an ungodly amount of her joints popping as she did. "That was fun. I can't wait to see what else happens." She wasn't lying, but her voice was dripping in pained sarcasm. Leon wanted to go take a nap. "Oh, by the way, I used my shirt to cover up wounds. One of the actors was actually hurt and then Daizo jumped through a window. Nothing scandalous."

Yuri didn't even have time to gloat like she wanted to, the thunderous sound of the giant kid narrowing towards her sent the woman rolling. She had to dodge, if she didn't, well, getting hit with flying balls of concrete and metal didn't sound too good for her health. Some of the small metal debris melted before they could do any damage, the bigger stuff only softening. But the sheer amount of the stuff could overwhelm her if she didn't keep on her toes. Yuri had to keep track of three boys, but Daizo was taking up a lot of her attention. She almost didn't notice Dante when he sent out that orb. But Yuri had nowhere to go.

The first blood projectile hit her upper body, restricting her upper arms. The second hit lower down, and the third finally felled her as it wrapped around her legs. The woman fell to the ground, a loud 'oof' escaping her lips as she hit, she couldn't help but smile. Inside she was screaming of course, once again not a big fan of blood, but she was grinning ear to ear. "Nice work kids!" She beamed, "You guys are the first to take me down, let alone land a hit on me, congratulations! For the rest of our time here in this little building, I won't have to punch you." The was a pause, as she waited for the blood to go away. Her smiled dropped when she noticed that Dante had passed out. "Oh, great- one of you get this off of me, please?" Her request went unanswered. Right, of course, she was still too hot to get near.

By the time her cool downtime had finished, and she was back to a normal-looking woman, the blood had liquefied and she was free. Almost, her skin was still covered in it, her body trying to escape into the upper atmosphere to escape the feeling. She, unfortunately, she couldn't do that and was stuck. Yuri stood there, watching Daizo and Hunter, and then Kireina when she suddenly bounced in. A godsend that woman was. She watched as the blonde began to take care of Dante, working her magic to fix the kid's ribs. "He gonna be awake soon? I'd love it if he got this off of me." She gestured to her arms. And when the blood began to drip off her body at an accelerated rate, Yuri thought it might have been Dante, until she met the red, then blue eyes of the girl across the room. "Thank you," The woman called, receiving a pained "No problem." in response. She hoped Kirena was done soon though, Yuri really wanted some eye drops.

Edzan Miller (1).png

Edzan didn't respond to the questions Leona shot his way, she couldn't see why he didn't just take them all down in an instant, how he could have killed them all. Edzan simply continued his exit

As Kireina landed behind Edzan he stopped his walk for a moment. As soon as her hand touched his shoulder Delta Force shot its fist foward at her head, before its arm seemed to pull an invisible chain tought that stopped it a few inches away, its gaze unflinching and filled with furry and anger like daggers pointed at the nurse.

"They knew what they were getting into when signed up to apply here, I am at no fault to what pain they may experience when I offered them an easy end to it."

He kept walking for a few minutes before rounding the corner to an empty area of the test zone, taking off his blackened shades, looking down in a puddle at hos face before looking up at Delta Force standing in front of him, its X-Glasses removes and Cape not worn, the blue and green flames died down to reveal it in it's fully unmasked form, it was like a faint outline of Edzan, two glowing yellow slashes for eyes, a massive red 'X' across the center of its face, a small opening in the flames where a mouth would be.

It stood there, embers of energy floating off of it and mimiced his movements like a mirror, as he moved his hand upwards and placed it towards Delta Force's, he could feel the familiar warmth it gave off and the power he could sence within it.

In his mind echoed what they had said
"Weren't you a bit too rough?" "Don't be too tough on them Edzan" "Why did you let us beat you?" "Why did you surrender"
"Why"
"Why"
"Why"

"Why..." he said allowed to the spirit of himself, staring at the thing that was ment to be himself In front of him, a reflection of his will to survive and and drive to fight.

"If you're a reflection of myself, and you stand for what I do... Why do you try to kill everything that gets close to me... Why are you... Why am I like this?!?"

The spirit had no response and its flames uproared slightly as Edzan's emotions flared, Edzan looked at it with fists clenched strongly.

"Why do we push away anyone we might have a chance to care about? Why.... Why did we kill the first person who gave us a light in those darkened streets when we we're crippled and alone?"

Delta Force became more transparent till it completely faded away into Edzan. He stood there for a minute before putting the glasses back on, covering up hos glowing eyes, that held back tears, long pent up that wouldn't drop anytime soon. He sighed before walking back to the street. Filling out the exam cards for the Students he interacted with.

Why was she even here in the first place?

That was the question that Lana had come to time and time again, even before she'd made it to Sakura High she wondered why she should even try. The answer was the same every time, a sick girl was positive that it was the place she should be. It was stupid, Lana knew that even when she agreed to Maize's ridiculous demand. Yet she still trained, still applied, and walked with the rest of her fellow orphans on their way to try and make it in.

The day had been average up until that point; she'd gotten up, quietly ate in the background of everyone else's conversations, made nary a peep as she set aside her plates. And yet instead of finding somewhere to quietly go about her own business, Lana had finished putting on her dress and caught up with the others. Normally she would've just lied in bed until someone came demanding she do something with herself, but not today.

Normally Lana wasn't a stickler for appearances, that idea had been shot down the second she realized what she looked like, but today she brushed her, strapped on one of her eye-patches, put on one of her dresses and made her way after the rest of the orphans. She only dressed this way when she was going out, clothes like this were the only thing she could reliably count on to hide her Quirk. The Eyepatch covered the ghastly mass of eyeballs that covered a good portion of the right side of her face, and the dress covered up everything else. As long as she didn't move her tentacle too awkwardly in her sleeve, there was no way someone could guess at the horrors that lie beneath. She pressed her extra set of arms tight against her waist and ran them along her legs, having trained in masking the extra set of limbs.

The only thing that was off was her mouth and the chitinous nature of her remaining hand, but a restrained range of gestures kept both of those under check.

She didn't know if anybody saw her getting ready, or if any of them even noticed her join them at Sakura's gate. She wasn't bothered, keeping her head down and not saying anything to anyone was a skill she'd mastered a long time ago. Silently mixing into the crowd without getting too close to anyone, less they bump into her and wonder why her skin seemed so hard and rigid. She kept this up all the way through the written exam, where she once more found her confidence faltering. Not that it was visible to any of the applicants sitting nearby, her iron mask of a face had been perfected almost as much as her frigid silence.

Written exam done, she was left with nothing but her own turbulent thoughts up until they were dropped quite literally into the Practical exam. She caught herself, of course, the extra limbs under her dress reacting instinctively upon nearing the ground. She'd glanced around at first to see if anyone had spotted them, but it would seem the majority of applicants were focused more on the city under siege before them.

As they charged into the fray, Lana made sure that she was going slower than the other applicants. She was never one to actively seek out a confrontation over nothing, and the numerous faux villains lining the city's streets seemed like nothing more than fodder for the applicants. Lana let them at it, concerning herself more with bringing up the rear and saving people civilians who might get caught up in the fighting. They were actors, of course, but Lana didn't want them near the fighting anyway. That was what Heroes were... at least, that's what Maize always said heroes were. Using their abilities to save people. And her limbs made getting to them a rather simple affair for her. A few jumps could take her across streets and her tentacle could extend and carry up to two people at a time.

Of course, this brought her quirk into view of many of the civilians, even with her nasty eye cluster covered up the sheer oddity of her limbs made many have to give a double take. Each time she'd do the same thing: draw them close, put a finger up to her lips, and give them a simple, "Shhh... I've got you."

It wasn't to say Lana didn't have to get physical, almost every time she went to help a struggling civilian there'd be a faux villain to get in her way, but Lana found most of them easy pickings. Of course, she'd do her best to jump away and deposit her civilian somewhere relatively safe before moving to deal with the attacker quickly. Their construct was simplistic, but that wouldn't convince Lana to leave them be. No matter how many the academy had in back, she figured less robots on the field meant easier evacuation for the civilians. So this cycle continued, grab civilians first, move the ones other Applicants couldn't if necessary, destroy any robot that directly threatened one of the civilians. Lana did all of this with barely a word to anyone besides the occasional declaration of assistance to a civilian.

And then the next phase of the Practical Exam started, and things had gotten considerably harder. Altering her jump patterns kept her safe from the Snipers for the most part, but she never risked moving through open areas with a civilian in her arms. Occasionally she'd get close enough to one of the sniper nests to where dealing with them wasn't too out of the way, but she saw other students already going after the sniper nests. She wouldn't allow something like that to get in between her and the civilians, it was the new Faux villains that were the problem. Their moves were far different from the first ones, to the point where Lana had to relent and take off the dress.

It wasn't exactly difficult, a mere pause to have her limbs pull her dress up over head was all she needed. Of course, she had a simple dress shirt and knee-length skirt on underneath. She allowed her second set of arms to stretch out now that they were free from the confines of her dress, carefully placing her eye-patch on top of the pile and only momentarily making a mental note of the ruined buildings nearby before going to the cries for help from the third story of what looked like a tech store.

Predictably, as she used one pair of hands to raise a piece of degree out of the way of a trapped civilian, they gasped in terror at the cluster of eyes staring back at them. Lana's human eye merely blinked as her tentacle reached forward and wrapped around them before drawing them close, "Shhh..." she started her usual line when the sound of clanking brought her gaze to something hovering right outside the window.

She darted to the side as the the Faux villain crashed through what was left of the window, sending a small hail of glass to join the rest of the debris as it turned and zipped for Lana and the civilian.

"Hold me." she ordered as she pulled him to her side, barely giving him time to grab a foothold before darting out of the Villain's way. It crashed through an overturned display case and turned just in time to see Lana leaping from the massive hole it left in the window. The Civilian cried out as they went sailing to a lower building across the way, Lana spun to take up most of the momentum before landing against the building's wall and crawling along its side quickly with the use of four of her limbs.

"It's comin' girlie!" The Civilian shouted as they rounded the corner of the building, Lana looking back in time to seethe Faux villain launch out of the building and collide with the building she was clinging to. Glancing down, she spotted what she was looking for: a basketball court in between several buildings. The Faux villain slammed one of its fists at her just as she detached from the wall and spun herself over before landing. She had to throw herself towards the basketball court immediately as the Villain landed right where she once stood. She whipped her tentacle around a bent light pole nearby as she skidded next to the basketball court's fence, setting down the civilian with a quick "I'll be back." right before the Faux villain charged her again. Tightening her tentacle's grip on the pole, she used it to whip herself into the Villain's charge, fist burying into its center as they both spun from the collision. Lana recovered first, sending both of her other fists into the Machine's leg joints before tearing them off.

Dropping the rest of the faux villain to the ground, she immediately turned for the heavily breathing civilian and hopped to his side with a "I'm back."

Wrapping him up in her tentacle, Lana moved to continue her slightly slower cycle of civilian recovery.

Eloise
blob.png
This one was a humanoid one. It was just robots after robots. She had encountered stranger ones on her tour. There had been four others now, all of them had fallen pretty easily once she figured out where their central processing unit was. This one was no different. The first one, admittedly, had been a bit of a hassle. She was best pitted against humans, actual breathing humans. She wanted to try her luck against a teacher, not a non-living thing. It was perhaps the best she could do to just keep ducking and weaving through attacks, before one of the other students came in and crushed it with his own powers. Without even expecting a thank you, he ran off to gain more points. They were greedy. They wanted to impress. They were careless. She wondered how long some of these students would last. Hell, she herself almost got eliminated by a single robot. That was why she wasn't a hero, and the rest of the cast were. She was just an audience, nothing more, nothing less. A spectator of the world to come, be it despair or hope.

That having been said…

This was dull. Little was on the line here, there was no actual character investment in this plot. Ugh. This was the worst. She expected something boring, so boring that it would have been interesting, or something way more exciting, so exciting that it would overwhelm her. Instead, she just got this. Who wrote this script? This was playing it way too safe! She didn't like safe stageplays. The only thing that these robots posed a threat to was to her 'points'. The civilians? They were totally safe. If she didn’t patch the straggling civilians up on her way here, they’d be fixed by the pros by the end of the exam. No one would actually DIE like they would in an actual villain attack. What was the point of that? She ruffled her head of ‘hair’, and stretched out her hand. A piece of metal slingshotted out from her hand, slamming into the robot's chest piece, and tearing through it. It stumbled back in recoil, but still stood up straight. Did she miss? Guess it wasn’t the heart. The head then. She shifted her aim, and her insides rearranged themselves to load the next shot. Then, with a sound like a snapping rubber band, another piece of metal was sent through the robot's head. This time, it crumpled onto the ground and lay still. She clambered over the fallen robot in front of her.. She had to give it to them, however. The set design had work put into it. If 'work' referred to 'money', that was. She did notice there were some repeating shop signs and designs on her leisurely walk across the city, but they wouldn't have been too obvious to anyone who wasn't paying attention. She crouched down beside the robot and picked up a few shards of the metal shell. Slowly, as if being submerged by sand, the metal shards sank into her hands until they were swallowed up whole.

This was the worst. That made five. She wondered how many points that was. Did it matter? Did she already hit 0 in any of the vague categories that Gatekeeper had mentioned? This was kind of frustrating, really. She extricated one hand from her jacket’s pocket and reached out to the civilian huddled in one corner. Wow, that was some dedicated acting. Was he actually packing some blood packs on him? Was that actually blood coming from his le--

For the first time in the entire exam, her eyes showed a slight change in emotion. “Goodness,” was all she could utter, as she crouched down beside him. The man was biting down on his lower lip, struggling to not make a noise as she examined the open gash on his leg. ‘Gash’ was an understatement. It was as if a good chunk of his thigh had been scratched off. Eloise clicked her tongue in annoyance. Those bots mustn’t have been programmed well enough. Were they actually trying to kill civilians here? Whatever. She just had to use what she could to patch him up. She pulled back her jacket’s sleeve, and focused her flesh onto her palm, while she examined the wound in closer detail. He was bleeding out, and she had to hurry. What a massive oversight on the school’s part. Someone could die like this. She wasn’t ready for the first tragedy of the play, especially if it was just some unnamed role. “Alright, this should do,” she muttered as she finished up the block of flesh in her hand, and, without waiting a second longer, she shoved the piece of flesh into his wound. The sinews of the flesh immediately got to work to fusing into the man’s body, melting like wax within, changing its structure to match the man’s own. With a swipe of her hand, she wiped away the excess flesh from the wound, and absorbed it back into her body. She had to admit, the ‘civilian’ was taking it way better than she expected. The integration process was often described as if someone had shoved a hot poker into the insides, burning them from within. The fact that he hadn’t cried out once was impressive.

A minute passed, and the skin set. It was slightly different in shade than the skin around it, but she supposed it would do. It was better than nothing after all. She straightened up, and caught the man’s hand, helping him up to his feet. “Just go,” she waved him off before he could start, and shoved her hands back into her parka’s pockets.

She had barely moved forwards a few more steps before she collided into a giant, scarred man in a jacket who seemed to be filling up some cards. “Wh--” Another human? Her mind hit the overdrive immediately when she realised just who-- or what, she collided into. There was no way he was another student. Some of them may be towering high enough to cast a shadow over her, but none had the same energy that this man was exuding- an air of experience and...something else beneath. “C-crap!” Damn it! She wanted to have a meal soon, but not that soon! At least give her some time to prepare, God! This was the worst! This was really the worst!

As the test went on, Lynn's eyes were glued to the TV screen. Some of the examinees were really impressive, tearing robots left and right. The student vs. teacher fights were also beginning to heat up. She couldn't help feel a bit of pride as some students managed to win. "These students will become great heroes," she thought. However, a knot started to form in her stomach as the fights continued. They weren't real villain vs. hero fights, but they felt very real. One particular scene had blood everywhere, partially due to how some quirks worked, but it still gave her an uneasy feeling even though she knew the faculty wouldn't let a student die.

She managed to maintain a neutral look, but she wanted out of the teacher's lounge. "I'm going to use the restroom," she calmly told Kaeru before walking out. Once she was down the hall a ways and out of his sight, her knees started to wobble.

She clutched to the sides of the sink in the girl's bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. She was an emotional mess and felt like she had to throw up. "All that blood...," she shuddered at the thought. He had been one of the students she had talked a little with before the test too. She knew the faculty would do everything they could for Dante, but she still felt terrible. The worst part was that she couldn't do anything to help. "Should I even be watching the exam at all?" she wondered.

She turned on the cold water and splashed it onto her face. She didn't bother drying herself off, her quirk would absorb the water in no time.

She pulled her phone out of her pocket and contemplated calling her mother. "No, this was my choice. I need to live with it," she thought as she returned the cell back into her pocket. "Unsettling or not, this is just a testament to how hard each student has worked to be here. I want to support that!"

Lynn left the bathroom with a determined look on her face and returned to her seat in the teacher's lounge. It wouldn't be long before the test ended.

The Tyrant The Tyrant

Lisa Katsura
87386bc3c298c8cd30c443a0f0bf7654.jpg
Back at the Katsura residence, Lisa carried a box into her room. The matriarch of the Katsura household placed the box on her bed and started to hum as she shifted through her things. She was looking for stuff to put in her new office. She was going to be the new gym teacher at Sakura High. She hadn't told her daughter yet; she wanted it to be a surprence, hence the reason why she wasn't participating in the exam today. She had specifically requested not to be there and was rather surprised (and glad) that the principle had granted her request.

Her main reason for not wanted to be there was that she knew that Lynn would try to watch, but a part of her wondered how she'd actually do in the "villain" role. It's been a long time since she'd been a Pro-Hero. She'd been a civilian for the past seventeen years. During those years she maintained the control she had over her quirk, but as far as fighting went it was up against punching bags or showing students (quirked and un-quirked alike) how to do karate. Needless to say, it's been a long time since she actually fought a living person.

The first object that caught her attention was her old hero costume, folded in a big picture frame on the wall. The short, blue and white, silk dress was a tad too small for her now, but it would make a nice trophy piece for her office (even though the students weren't likely to recognize it because she had done all of her hero work in America decades ago.)

Lisa gently pulled her old costume off the wall and stared at it for a moment, letting the good and bitter sweet memories flood her mind, before gently putting it into the box. She then started to rummage around her room, picking up karate trophies and placing them in the box. She then walked over to her closet and pulled out a longer silk dress that resembled her old costume. This dress actually fit her and she was thinking of incorporating it into a new costume, but right now she wasn't planning on fully coming out of retirement. For now she was planning to use her new costume to inspire her students. She folded the dress and placed it on her bed, she then placed a pair of solid black leggings, black wrist bands, and blue kung fu shoes beside the dress. She grabbed another box and placed the elements of her new costume into it.

She placed the two boxes into her closet and closed the door. She let out a happy sigh. Soon she'd be teaching the next generation of heroes, and what she really wanted to teach them was that the world didn't revolve around them because they had a quirk. In her almost two decades of civilian life, she had learned that she didn't really need to use her quirk in order to help people.

Daizo Lee

Haul after haul of giant junk and scrapped began to tire Daizo's massive form. Leona had been the first to go down, albeit her own attacks leading up to were amazing for even just a student. Still, Edzan dropped her with ease. Following was Dante who passed out, and soon it was Daizo. His muscles ache, his entire body pained from the over-sizing, damage sustained, the deathly heat of the room, and fatigue. At the last throw of a concrete ball, he grew too weak to sustain his giant size. He reverted back to his normal size in seconds, gasping for air and wincing each time he got it. His stomach pained the most from Delta Force's past attacks, and his wounds had been reopened from his past window jump due to how big he'd gotten. All Daizo's civilian clothing, along with Leona's bandage had torn due to his change in size, leaving him in his poorly coloured black and purple super suit.

Tired as fuck now, Daizo lay motionless on the cold warehouse floor. His ears perked up to take in the words of each teacher. A smirk spread out from his lips as Yuri and Edzan spoke. Out of his peripheral vision, he could see Dante being taken care of, and heard Leona speaking now too. Seemed the other students would be alright too. For now, Daizo allowed the temptation of sleep to win. His eyes fell shut, and he faded slowly into a slumber. Saliva slowly seeped out of the sides of his mouth, and his snore only echoed through the now wasted warehouse. Even with the hard floor beneath him, having been through a battle as tasking as that, he needed the rest.

Edzan Miller (1).png

Edzan continued his walk through the City, filling out the forum cards for the students he had fought, out of the entire process this was the worst part, they saw the fight happen why'd he have to explain it to them in grand detail

"I don't imagine reading what a fight looked like could be too iinteresting, but I guess they've been doing it this way for awhile. Must be working someho-"

Something bumped into his back, Edzan knew what was about to happen to whatever was behind him, Delta Force wouldn't hold back on its swing against things that made contact with him so he moved an arm to the side and pushed away the swinging fist of Delta Force as quick as he could, a torrent of wind shooting past Eloise's face, slamming into the ground and destroying the pavement.

Slowly turning around Edzan looked down at whatever had bumped into him, it was another female student, this one seemed a little more panicked than the last, he looked down at them for a few moments, before opening his mouth and talking in his low gravely monotone voice.

"In the years I've worked here.. Not once has a student simply walked into my back to start a fight with me, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and let you go along your way if you somehow got lost."

The floating and glowing figure of Delta Force wouldn't remove its eyes from the girl, burning with anger and fury for whatever reason directed at the girl"

Dante's eyes slowly rolled back into focus. He was vaguely aware of someone touching him and he blinked a few times. Slowly, he managed to process that a woman was tending to his injuries. In his anemic state, he genuinely believed this woman could be an actual angel..

"Shit.... did I actually die?" He murmured barely audibly. That wasn't supposed to happen. His thoughts were jarred when the alleged angel suddenly lifted him as if he were weightless. Finding himself suddenly so close, he first immediately noticed her calming scent as it enveloped him. His mind was too addled to really process the specifics, but there was something maternal and familiar about it,something utterly disarming. Perhaps that was why he so easily complied when she told him to drink.

Normally, he'd be a little apprehensive about biting someone, but here he hardly even realized he'd bitten her until the sweet, metallic taste of blood hit his senses. The bite,to her, would be a light pinch that would ebb away to a strange sensation moments later. His eyes began to glow, his half closed eyes now opened fully. The blood on his head retreated, the gash on his forehead sealing in seconds.

Without warning, a series of stomach churning pops and snaps echoed from Dante's body. The bruising on his torso started to fade and recede like the tide until nothing remained but the memory. Even his palms healed from the cuts he made to use his quirk. After a few minutes, he was able to release her neck, leaving four telltale puncture wounds behind.

"I... thank you. Sorry about the bite marks..." he managed to speak. He stretched his legs, making an effort to stand once more.

....An effort which failed spectacularly....

For you see, drinking blood healed his physical wounds, but it didn't restore his stamina. He was physically exhausted, and his legs vehemently protested against their use. They buckled under his weight, causing him to fall face first into...

Let's face it, you know where this is going~

Dante found himself caught in darkness. Immediately, he jumped back, his usually pale face a practically glowing scarlet.

"Sumimasen, sumimasen, sumimasen!!!" Dante apologised profusely, bowing so fast you'd think the poor boy would give himself a case of whiplash if he didn't slow down. Thoroughly embarrassed, he retreated from the nurse to see how the others were holding up.

"... I... just realized I never introduced myself to any of you.. whoops..." he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly with a cheeseball grin.

"I'm Dante. Dante de la Cruz." He finally introduced himself. "And.. I gotta say that went a lot better than I dared hope it would! Ya know, aside from breaking.... well... all of my ribs" he laughed a little as he scratched the back of his head.

His crimson eyes settled on Hunter, a grin spreading over his features once more. "Glad you got back in time for the party, Sword Bro! I almost thought you weren't gonna make it! And holy crap that woulda gone bad for me if you didn't...."

His attention, now that he wasn't nearly dead, seemed to jump around quite a bit as post fight adrenaline kicked back in. Daizo was next in his sights. "And the Big Guy, holy hell that was insaaaane he's asleep. Well shit.. still need to find out his name at some point."

"And, holy hell, I never thought I'd run into someone else who could control blood! Let alone mine... Shit, speaking of which, did someone let out that teach- oh, she's free, good. I think she might still be pissed at me for yeeting a freezebot at her... Kinda reluctant to ask..."
he glanced warily at Yuri. Given how absolutely pissed she seemed when she first entered the warehouse, he was a wee bit reluctant to test his luck by addressing her, especially since he only just recovered. He blinked, noticing the male teacher was long gone.

"So.... uhhh... questions, how long was I out and how long is left in the test? Is it over? Did we pass???" He asked, looking around to see if the others had an answer. Even if he was in on Recommendations, by facing off with a teacher, let alone two, he put himself in a position where that Recommendation could get retracted.

Even if he'd had that thought nagging the back of his mind the whole time, now it commanded his attention as he wondered if he screwed himself over when he lost consciousness.

Kireina keeps the smile despite Delta's reaction, a previous game she has played ever since his admission to the school as a student all those years ago, her finger raising to boop in the direction of the nose before vanishing out of range an instant later with just a smile and a wave...holding the baby like Dante in one arm and an innocent chuckle "Don't be such a grouch Delta, you really should try smiling too, can save more with a smile than a punch after all...It might make Edzan smile or too!" keeping the wave before turning her back and getting back to work with the other students.

As she reached the giant boy she casually flips them over off the other teacher with her boot, the small robots running across the boy as a scanning light seemed to emit from their hands to check the body while they turn to Yuri "Oh dear...you certainly got messy on this one! You really should get a good shower too after this! I could recommend a good exfoliating wash thats good for getting blood out.....its the same one i use" her hand idly moving around behind her to pull out some eyewash "This may help too, you're looking a little red in other areas as well" gesturing to her eyes with the freehand, idly reading the display again at the giant boys injuries "Hmm? Well a bit of ointment and a good rest and Daizo should be fine....well thats good, would be terrible if we had more injured as badly in this little scuffle now?".

Making a short gesture the minion robots run off to underneath the boy, hoisting him up on their arms before starting to trot away with him, he was a little big for the emergency tunnels so was going to need to use a alternate route.....and an alternate bed, well she could just put enough beds together and that should be fine. It was about this time however she noticed the stirring of the boy in her arms, a small laugh at his comment at the murmuring next to her ears "Oh welcome back darling, dont worry about my neck....its nothing really and far easier than pulling out the transfusion kit after all, but enough about that....are you feeling better? Im sorry Edzan played a little rough its really not his fault but hey i can't say yet but i think he might actually like you".

Patting his back like a burping a baby once he detaches, another laugh from her lips at the comment and watching him try to stand, though there was also the fact he was a little too far off the ground to actually reach, the boy falling back before snapping back to rest his head in a more comfortable spot "Oh really dont worry, and yeah i know who you are....would be terrible if i treated you without checking your file after all" the warm wide grin never fading as she tilts her head ever so slightly, listen to him ask about the giant and if they passed "The larger boy is Daizo, everything is going to fine and i think you do really well on the test but...." booping his nose with a finger before gently setting him down "That's a spoiler your going to need to wait for, after all, wouldn't be fair to the others right?" Standing back up straight with her hands behind her back its clear now just how tall the woman was, looming over the boy making him seem relatively short in comparison as she bounces there on the ball of her feet "And im Kireina, but you can call be Nurse Nijin, Burse, Mercy...." wagging a finger as she leans forward again with a chuckle "Or Kirei....others are good too though, its so cute hearing all the ones students come up with"

1570836800761.png Now that the teacher had given up and things turned peaceful he turned to face the other teacher left he turned to the others. "Earlier you asked for my name but I was too focused on other things to respond, it's Hunter." He says before turning to the now awake. "We're going to be heroes, we're supposed to help each other. I was just waiting for the right moment." He turns back to the other two. "Samurai mainly used bows and fought on horseback, they aren't proper swordsmen."

Perhaps it was by instinct that she managed to side-step away from the attack. Even if it wasn't aimed at her directly, the intent behind it was brutal enough that she could feel it crawling across her body as it passed her by, and shattered the pavement behind her. However, the original shock wore off quickly when the man decided to speak to her with a carefully measured tone.

"What, and miss out on an opportunity to see one of this stage's favourite actors in action?" She was overcome with a sudden flush of emotion, of something like excitement as the realisation of just who this man was dawned on her. A crazy punch ghost, and an X-shaped scar across his face. Why, it was none other than that hero. That role she so loved to watch. "What sort of audience would I be, if I passed up this chance for a front-row seat?" Face-to-face with an actual hero, with an actual beacon of light that brought hope to this world. Then why, why did his expression look so sombre? So defeated? So...angry? This was the worst. How could a shining role be so overcome with dark clouds? Who was the director? Who thought this was a good idea? She scowled. If she had to fix this script with her own damn hands, she would. This was no way for a hero to behave. With a smooth movement, she crossed her arms across her chest, fingers splayed apart, taking on a pose. A lopsided smirk broke through her scowl, creeping into her expression as she faced the hero-turned-teacher. "This is the best. This is the absolute best! I get to face off against someone who brings so much to this stage! You're Delta Break, ain't you? You're, like, the coolest kind of hero around!" She coughed and cleared her throat. "What I mean is,” she straightened up and readopted her pose, "hah! You think that's enough to make me turn tail and run?!" She grinned at the hero. "Was that good enough, teach? I'm not a hero, but gotta play the part, right? Anyway, roleplay's over! Show me that light you shine onto the world!"

With those words, and little other warning, she stretched out both her arms towards the teacher. With a sonorous chorus of several snapping sounds, metal shards, cement pieces, and small debris fired out from her whole body, spat out at breakneck speeds from her face, torso, legs, and hands, straight at the teacher, overwhelming him with a salvo of debris that she had collected on the way here.

Edzan Miller.png

Edzan was taken aback slightly at the girl's mention of actors, he wasn't really sure what she meant by 'actor' maybe she somehow mistook him for Gatekeeper or one of the more.... out there heroes among the ranks of Sakura High, brow furrowing slightly as stepped and turned on the slightly damp pavement as the small drops of water began to drop, a slight storm coming overhead that made the scene all the darker.

"Actors? I'm not sure what you mean- maybe you're thinking of Gatekeeper. He's always showboating about being in movies." he said with the slightest tone of confusion on the end of his words, He didn't really know what to think of her, she seemed to know what job he played in this "Show" the rain increased its downpour from the sky above the two, the area around Delta Force's feet seemed to be bone dry. "As for front row seat... I'm not really fighting anyone right now, maybe another time." still not sure what she was trying to get at.

as the girl's expressions changed a few times before she continued on. When she revealed she did, in fact, know who he was the statement surprised Edzan. Not many really knew about his works aside from a small handful, perhaps she was one of the few 'fans' he had. "Oh- So you do know who I am... That's right I'm Delta Break... sheesh it been an age since I've heard that name. Most people just call me Edzan or Mr. Miller. Mhm, Thanks for the praise I suppose, not sure how earned it is, I do what anyone else would if they could."

the girl struck a pose in tandem with a strike of lightning as the rain increased its velocity around them as she said some kind of generic hero comeback to the fist DF had swung earlier than asked how she did on the remark and pose presumably "Uh- You did... fine? Listen, kiddo. I need to get these report cards fitted out so if you want to walk and talk that's fine but I'm kind of-" Edzan was distracted by the strange interaction when the girl shot out a spray of debris like a shotgun at him. to say the least Edzan was taken aback at the sudden attack, but Delta Force wasn't, quickly launching in front of him, displacing the raindrops for a moment before he shot of a blurringly fast volley of punches, turning whatever had been shot had him to dust in the wind before quickly shooting at the girl and launching a knee into their stomach at a breakneck pace, the body formed of energy dried the part of her clothes it came into contact with before launching her splashing back into the rainy street. blinking a few times Edzan went back from his possession of slight shock and brought his fists up in front of him and legs to a pivot as he prepared for another fight

"So that's what you meant past all the 'Stage' and 'Actor' nonsense? right, I suppose it's only logical that we'd be fighting, it's what we both signed up for isn't it? Well if you want to go by theatrics- I don't shine much of a light, I cast a deep shadow across those who dare venture into the light others create, trying to destroy what it stands for and the people that make it... In the so-called totem pole of heroes I don't sit on any ranking, nor do I care where I would be seated, I merely defend where it stands and what it stands for, and the people who created it! Now.... Dance across the tage of shadows and light, young hero... if that really is what you are playing the part of."

Delta Force's burning radioactive light had returned to it as it's cape flared up in fiery wisps and its glowing eyes could be seen vibrantly through its X-Glasses, the rain around it dried before it could even hit the ground, taking up a similar fighting stance to Edzan but mirrored, Eloise could feel its power from where she stood as it radiated off it like an old heater, complete with an unsettling hum.

She watched Edzan leave, her questions left hanging in the air unanswered. Leona didn't know why they seemed simple enough. But then again, she didn't ever really understand the thought process of adults. He seemed upset though, not that it was painted on his face, but he didn't say anything when he left, not even to Meltdown. Which was odd. And Leona couldn't help but feel like it was something she had said. In any case, it wasn't like she could go and follow him, that might be a sign of continuing the fight, or...well, Leona was going to stay put. She could feel a large cruise on her back forming, her skin getting darker each second. Hell, even her bones felt bruised. Her head dropped down a bit, hair curtaining over her shoulder, it was nice to have a few minutes where nobody was in peril, and sitting down when your head felt like it was spinning was also good. She could deal with the symptoms of over usage easily, her body just needed to adjust first. And Leona had to make sure she didn't stand up too quickly.

Her head only rose again when Dante addressed her. "I was surprised too. Still am honestly," She smiled, "And yeah. I can control any blood...I think. I never tried using animal blood, don't think I ever will either. How'd you do the wings?" Her current level of control was fairly limited. She could manipulate blood and it's properties with ease, but making constructs was the hard part. There were so many kids in that house, and she was one of the few never allowed to practice without supervision. Big surprise there. Her attention turned to Hunter, finally introducing himself, she chuckled. "17th century, they primarily used swords since bows were cheaper. Normal foot soldiers used them, so swords, which were more expensive, became known as the samurai's weapon. It's your nickname, we've all unconsciously agreed to it." Leona stood up, wincing as her spine protested, she moved closer to the other. "I'm really looking forward to this to be over. Daizo has the right idea, but man, that looks uncomfortable."

Yuri just watched the kids interact in silence, Taking slight amusement in Dante's apparent fear of her. "Don't worry kid, I'm not gonna punch you. But if you do that shit again, I will hit you in the throat," She warned, throwing the 'I'm watching you' hand signal at him before her arm fell back into her relaxed position. "You were only out for a few minutes, and honestly I have no idea much longer y'all have. I can't wear a watch, the reason for that I think is obvious. Can't be too much longer though, you just gotta survive till it's over." She couldn't grade Leona, having not personally fought her, but the three boys passed. Dante certainly got high marks for creativity, all three of them got points for tenacity, but due to injuries, the best she could give them would be a B. Maybe a B plus. Dante nearly got killed, the giant boy was unconscious, and sure Hunter was okay, but he didn't do much. Dante was the one who officially captured her, Daizo overwhelmed her, and well, Yuri had never seen a student get Edzan to surrender as Leona had. Hunter had still impressed her however, but his attacks seemed to...linear for someone of his ability, but the fact he hadn't even flinched after several direct hits on him. Yuri had read almost every applicant file, unfortunately, she ran out of time to read the last few, but still. "I have other kids to thrash, so I've gotta get going. Just know that if you run into me or Edzan again, we won't fight you. At least, I won't. See you kids, later." She smiled, gave a slight wave to Mercy, before she turned and left the warehouse, going the opposite direction Edzan had sulked off into.

Lana continuously found herself impressed by the budget Sakura High had to flaunt. An army of robots, cities it could destroy just for exams, another army of actors who were trained to be in danger. She heard that other Hero Schools often had similar budgets to flaunt...

...but seeing it in action was a whole other thing.

Perched in a giant hole that had been punched into the side of a building, Lana kept her eyes trained on some of the taller buildings nearby. Most applicants had picked the fringes of the city clean when it came to Civilians, so Lana had been forced to move her search area closer to the lion's den. There were plenty of robots still in the outskirts, but that was superficial. There were plenty of robots everywhere, the Civilians remained her main goal. The only problem was that, this close to the taller buildings, the snipers were much more of a threat than beforehand. She could live with there being more competition when it came to rescuing civilians, but the extra difficulty getting to them was painfully noticeable.

Thankfully, Lana was anything if not efficient. A quick change to her rescue cycle had more or less factored in the long-range opponents. Look for civilian, save civilian while making a shield out of anything nearby. Usually it was a card door or piece of a display stand, but they tended to do their job and keep them relatively safe until she could get them somewhere safe. If she so happened to notice a sniper before a civilian then she'd go out of her way to deal with it.

Such as now, as she stood with her two Chitinous legs impaled into the fallen drone as she looked for where she should go next. With her cluster of eyes uncovered, she could see the City fairly clearly. Applicants were still jumping all over, either fighting or saving, but Lana noticed immediately that there were a lot less of them than before. She'd noticed she'd run into other Applicants far less than before, but the knowledge that so many had already failed or been defeated still seemed overbearing.

Despite herself, Lana took the moment of reprieve to give a small smile before hopping from the gaping hole and clinging to a destroyed sign partially hanging from the nearby building. The moment she landed, it began creaking dangerously as she stood. With her second pair off arms gripping the sign beneath her, she walked along it as it began falling. She cast her gaze to the streets below as she continued her search for civilians.

She had a much better view of some of the other applicants, and even paused upon noticing that most of the other Orphans still remained in the run. More surprising given that a number of them seem to have run into teachers, something that Lana had gone out of her way to avoid the entire time. She didn't care just how hopelessly optimistic Maize's views of her were, Lana didn't think she'd stand up against even a semi-pro hero let alone the teachers of Sakura High.

Still, she supposed it's just as amazing that this many applicants were still fighting given the size of their opposition. Lana turned and watched some kid who was flying around by projecting water jets from his heels. It almost looked as if he was trying to get to one of the sniper nests just as Lana was, but that was ridiculous... the only one that was accessible via these streets was the one she'd just cleared out. All the other ones nearby were covered by-

Before she could even finish the thought, Jet-Boy was flung sideways by one of the other snipers providing over-watch. Maybe he just assumed that they wouldn't be covering each other... like a moron.

Though Lana rolled her eyes, she realized real quick that he wasn't moving to catch himself. In fact, the way his body fell almost looked as if he was unconscious.

With her frown deepening, Lana leaped from the sign and caught him with her tentacle as she landed upon an overturned car. The impact made several Faux Villains spin on them as she quickly looked over the boy wrapped in her tentacle before confirming that her was very much not awake right now.

She sighed at that just as one of the Faux Villains lunged at her, forcing her to jump away before darting to the side as it threw the car at them. The car somersaulted through the glass wall of a cafe nearby, the resulting explosion outlined Lana as she bent the joints of her lower limbs as the Machine leaped for her. She darted back and darted forward the moment it landed sinking three of her jagged limbs into it before pushing herself away. It was as the second Faux Villain charged after her that the other applicant began waking up.

"Where-?" his gaze fell on the red cluster of eyes staring at him and he almost immediately struggled in Lana's grasp.

"Stop it." she ordered before having to pause and bring her arm up as the machine slammed a mechanical limb into her side and sent both of them sailing past a partially-crushed truck. She turned with it to keep her from jostling the boy too much. Setting him down, she gave a quick "Sit down." before darting to meet the Faux villain just as it launched itself at them again. It brought its arms down at her, but Lana wrapped her tentacle around those arms and darted back before yanking herself towards the falling machine before tearing into it with three limbs spinning.

Once she could drop the machine's chunks, she approached the heavily breathing boy and gave him a once over, "Stand?"

He stumbled away, "Yeah... gotta keep going..." he muttered

His other hand gripped the side of his head, and with how he barely seemed capable of walking straight, "A concussion." Lana stated.

"Gotta get in..." he waved her off again before jets of water sprayed from his shoes again and he took off towards the sounds of explosions.

Lana briefly thought of going after him and dragging him somewhere safe, she was pretty sure a concussion warranted someone to stay grounded. But before she could decide to hop after him or not, a cry for help nearby caught her attention immediately. She glanced briefly in his direction, but figured he was still better off than the civilians were in this mess. And so she went off towards the cry for help in order to continue her rescue cycle.

Daizo Lee

Longer. If only he could stay like this for longer. But even Daizo knew the test hadn't ended yet. Assassin robots could enter at any moment, crazy students could come in looking for a fight, or another over powered teacher. He had to get up. Daizo's senses came back slowly, picking up the quiet conversations everyone had began now that the fighting had died out. From his position on the floor, he could make out Leona, Hunter, the new blood-manipulating kid he'd have to get to know, and another teacher. This one didn't seem like she was trying to kill the though. Yuri and Edzan had left the scene, too, so it seemed for the most part, the coast was clear to get up and moving.

Getting up was the hardest part now. Having fought off the will to go back to sleep, Daizo had to deal with the soreness of battle. Still, he pushed himself up from the floor, using one of the warehouse's metal pillars to keep himself up. Daizo's expression reverted to his resting bitch face, even worse as the sclera of his eyes were tainted a red colour from fatigue. He pushed himself off of the wall, and wobbled towards the others now. "Of course I did." He replied to Leona, the last part of the conversation he could pick up. His attempt of a joke might've been misunderstood due to his lack of actual expression or enthusiasm. Now in the circle, Daizo gave each student a nod, growing a respect for each of the comrades he'd just fought along.

"You all err... did very well. Glad we survived."

Emmys small frame was vary useful in situations like these. Where someone normal sized would have trouble dodging these attacks even with her agility, Emmys small size made for a hard target to hit. She flew between swings of the dragon teachers sharp claws, not able to hit with her small reachbut able to avoid damage. Without a plan she was just instinctually avoiding the attacks and this teacher wasn’t relenting. She didn’t even have time to muster up a fire ball. Then she got her chance, in one dodge she was turned tail facing the teacher, instinctually she smacked him in the face with her tail and used the momentum to create some distance, then she turned back and launched another fireball right at his face.

Eloise
blob.png
He was fast! Eloise could barely get out a laugh of excitement before she had to try to evade the attack somehow. Trusting in her own instincts, she let herself receive the hit. The kick scythed through her body, cutting the girl in half. Her upper torso landed on the wet floor, bouncing across the pavement once, then twice, then came to a standstill. Her legs stumbled backwards, and paused, as if unsure of what to do. This was the best. He was climbing out of that rut of his. Shadow? Light? Whatever he believed, he was shining as bright as the sun itself. Her body managed a gurgle, then a cheery laugh, as if it hadn’t been bifurcated at the torso. Strands of pink flesh that still connected the two parts to each other tightened, then dragged her upper torso back to the legs. Her body, and shirt, seemed to melt into her legs. Strange bubbling lumps crawled up the legs, carrying the parka along the entire length of the body, then reformed itself atop of the disembodied legs, draping the parka over its shoulders. The chest first, then the arms, slipping through the empty sleeves, then finally, a bare head. The same red t-shirt that she was wearing formed itself over her featureless chest. Like clay being molded, the eyes, mouth and nose took shape upon the head.

Eloise brushed her hair backwards. A bright smile formed on her face, as she clapped her hands together, the sound almost consumed by the torrential rain around them. “That was...amazing, teach. Such speed, such power.” She gave a small laugh, as she dropped her hands to her side. There was no mistaking it. He was radiating with extreme power. There was no way any regular student could even hope to match him in a regular fight. One-on-one, pure strength, was useless against him. His punch ghost made it so that any confrontation was essentially a two-on-one, anyway. But at least she knew it was a physical object. That, and it operated on the teacher’s own id, rather than himself. A manifestation of will, intentional or not.

She smirked. Well, she wasn’t very strong, but she was pretty creative. She just had to keep going with this plan of hers. Heh. Why was she even playing along with this dumb exam anyway? Was she just that bored? Was it because Edzan was the only one so far that didn’t make her roll her eyes and sigh? Heroes truly were a completely different lot than the rest. A whole next level! It was like comparing the difference between the extras that milled about in the background, and a Hollywood star! She wanted to see a villain that could match his brightness in darkness! What a legendary confrontation this would be!

Without any more words, she sprinted forwards, her hand outstretched, aiming for any part of his exposed skin. This time, she was ready for the next attack from the teacher’s Delta Force. There was no way she can win, not a chance. She wasn’t a hero, after all. However, there was no way she was going to lose, not before she was able to draw every ounce of light from him.

Edzan Miller (1).png

Edzan's eyes widened slightly as the top half of the girl was launched off her bottom half with the kick, a slight moment of panic overtook him as Delta Force floated proudly in front of him, but than he thought for a moment and remembered who he was dealing with, the case files he'd read through before the exam had been slightly tedious but worth while, This girl, Eloise was one of the students that stood out to him.

With a slight exhale from his nose he calmed down, but the fact that kicking this... 'Thing' in half hadn't killed it annoyed Delta Force, who's cape flared up stronger in the down pour. "You had me concerned for a moment there, Eloise. I thought Delta Force had officially taken my teaching and hero license, and worse gravely injured you. But now that I recognise who you are I needn't worry."

Edzan couldn't help but stare in amazement as Eloise pulled herself back together, the detail in how she returned to her form was like a breath taking painting being created before him, he averted his gaze out of principle as she reformed her chest half, even if it wasnt real clothes he didnt feel right watching a girl get dressed in front of him.

"I must say, you pulling yourself back together is quite the thing to watch, Eloise. Like a time lapse of a beautiful clay doll being formed before my eyes, I mean no offense by that of course."

Edzan watched the girls movements carefully as she approached him, a hand outstretched towards his body, he nodded and Delta Force became slightly transparent and sunk through the floor. Edzan dashed forward swinging a kick to the side of her before sending it down the ground beside the girl and jumping away fainting the attack and hopefully confusing her gaurd, Delta Force's arms shot from below where the girl stood and the hands became solid as they grapsed her legs and pulled them through the concrete, breaking her down to the waste before rising back up next to Edzan.

"I know you've got something planned, I can see that fire in your eyes I've seen in so many promising students. So I'm not going to let you do whatever that plan is, Eloise. I think you want to get close enough to get you hands on me so you can take some piece of me away, am I wrong?"

He stood looking down at the strange girl, slightly curious with what she had planned, he knew the floor hole wouldnt hold her for long so he prepared him self.

As he tried to hit the small Dragon girl with his attacks she weaved through them. It was like trying to put string through the eye of a needle, it should be easy but was exceedingly difficult. As Emmy attacked him with her tail he merely hit it aside with the back of his hand and smashed the fire ball ouf of the way

"Sheesh, you small fries always put up one hell of a fight! But its bout time you squirts get dropped!!!"

With a few flaps of his wings he shot upward and flew in a loop towards them at break neck speed, tail slashing across the ground destroying the pavement and making a deep tear like a fissure underneath their feet, as they dropped down he made several passing slashing at them while they were in free fall. Cackling all the while.

"Mwahaha-HA HAA HAAA! YOU CHUMPS AINT GOT A SNAILS CHANCE OF EEVEN SETTING FOOT IN SAKURA HIGH!!"

“Psycho much?” Emmy said as she flapped her tiny wings to avoid each attack, she was slashed a few times but her scales protected her. She divebombed at Paris and swooped her up out of the trench to safety, she was light, but Emmy was not well practiced in her dragon strength skill so it was a difficult climb, all the while taking the brunt attack of her teacher to save Paris from the attacks. She landed and stood between Paris and the teacher, beaten and slashed, her knee gave way, sending her tumbling to the ground but she still growled on all fours now. “Paris, if you have something, now would be gweat.”

A worm crawled slowly across the ground. A small, vulnerable creature trudging across the hard battle stained ground on its own. Slowly but surely it made its determined crawl to softer ground. A kid plucked it off the ground, dangled it above his mouth and ate it. This was Miles. The least popular member of the orphanage.

Dun Dun Dun! Twime to play!” Miles shouted, somersaulting off a cliff. He dramatically tumbled through the air.

And hit the ground with a splat. Some onlookers actually screamed, thinking a kid just died infront of them. That was until they heard the chuckling. Miles loved scaring people. The splattered remains of his body began pulling themselves back together. As soon as he was in one piece, Miles began racing across the ground on all fours, with his movements resembling those of a spider.

…

Miles figured he’d done pretty good in the exam so far. He still didn’t really get what a hero even actually was. But from what he bothered to listen to it seemed he just needed to beat up robots. That was simple enough for him. He'd taken down quite a few with his acts of trickery. Seemed their targeting systems weren't sure how to deal with a person who split into pieces.

It was then that he saw Emmy and Paris being attacked. A cold sweat broke out over him he didn’t remember hearing about that. (Because he ignored most of the explanation). He cooled down; this was an easy problem. If they were fighting, he just had to help them win.

HEY LOOK!” He shouted at the teacher. “NO HANDS!” he threw his wrists up, revealing the severed stumps. In truth with the motion of throwing up his arms, he had tossed his hands high into the air above the teacher, tightly clasping knives.

Paris

As the dragon teacher cackled maniacally and split open the ground beneath, it was odd how little Paris reacted, looking zoned out, lost inside herself. Even as she fell, she just looked sad.

Not even... a chance?

She felt she was letting down her parents as the seconds flew by. She had failed them. She had failed to use her quirk- a very good quirk- to get into hero school and make something of herself. Make something beautiful out of the tragedy of losing both her parents. It was her own fault her mother was dead, maybe such a wrong could be cancelled out by saving other's lives. By living their legacy in their place. But... she didn't even have a chance?

Paris was awoken from her shock and stupor when Emmy caught her in midair and dragged her back up the crevice. Depositing her on the ground, Emmy looked weak. Tired. Nearly beaten.

'Paris, if you have something, now would be great.'

Paris just kind of looked at her for a second. What do I have? Then, hearing Miles' voice, she perked up a little. Miles is such a bully. He'll beat this teacher good! And again, her other thought. What do I have? As Miles yelled to get the teacher's attention, Paris tried again to wrap her tough vines around the teacher's legs. She tried a prickly variety this time, just for extra annoyance. It seemed like she was a one attack girl without the use of nearby trees. If she had trees, she'd be able to kick his butt. Hopefully though, this would help.

There was a blanket spread out flat, a backpack sitting open with sandwiches and fruit and drinks, and two pairs of binoculars to watch the show, all just floating in the air a hundred feet higher up than the top of the tallest building of the fake city hosting the practical entrance exam. Vincent sat on the edge of the blanket, his feet dangling over the edge into empty air and the ground far below. The food and drinks had gone untouched. He wasn't in the mood for food. He hadn't been able to find Lynn after going out to buy supplies for the viewing party. Two sandwiches, two apples, two drinks. Quite the party. He bet Lynn thought he'd just ditched. Shit. She'd probably hate him now.

Something pinged off of the bottom of the blanket where he sat. Vincent's red eyes looked down. The next rubber bullet that came his direction suddenly bounced off of something invisible and then shot back to where it had come. No more bullets were fired his way.

He sighed and reached for the binoculars. Maybe seeing some cute new freshmen would improve his mood. He saw a girl turn her body into a pile of mush and set the binoculars back down. His mood had not improved. Actually, now he felt a little sick to his stomach. Vincent rolled up the blanket and stuffed it with the rest of his picnic-in-the-sky into the backpack. What a lousy day. He kind of wanted to crash the exam to blow off some frustration fighting all of the teachers down there. The freshmen girls might hate him if he did though. It was frustrating having to be every girl's hero all the time.

So instead Vincent flew off in the direction of the arcade to blow the change he'd gotten back from buying those stupid picnic supplies. What a stupid idea. Idiot.

That was it. He was too physical with his attacks. As his body crashed into hers, she made a small attempt to deflect his blows, letting them strike into her. The grin on her face widened as she felt his leg sweep into her side, and felt herself give way. She stumbled in her advance, clutching at her side, before she felt something grasp her feet from beneath her. "Not bad. Not bad at all," she muttered, her smile growing ever wider, just before she was dragged down onto the floor. Her lower body was crushed from the effort, splattering across the pavement.

She let herself lie motionless on the floor, one hand still reaching out towards Edzan in some appearance of a last act of defiance, and her head lying face down on the floor. When Edzan finally withdrew his Delta Force back to himself, she finally pushed herself up with her arm, looking dead on at Edzan, the smile still present on her face, her eyes completely calm and alive with...something. As if unperturbed by her crushed lower body, she pointed upwards and towards Edzan, her face falling back down into a mix of her own body and the rain. She turned her head slightly, and let out a small gurgling laugh. "Promising?" She let out another low, gurgling laugh. "You have me wrong there, Delta Break." She spoke slowly and carefully, as if to allow her words to sink in deep. "The fire in my eyes? It's the fire of an observer. I have no interest in acting on this very stage, but I do have a very wonderful interest in learning just what the stars that I deem fit to stand upon it are capable of doing. Stars just as you." She laughed the same gurgling laugh once more. "That's one thing you got wrong. The second is that you're assuming I need to take a piece of you away in the first place." With some effort, she pushed herself off the ground and on to her back, revealing the empty left sleeve of her parka. She flashed a stupid grin.

At the same moment, the skin that had been slowly crawling up Edzan's body from his limbs shot up to his neck, surrounding his face in a crude clay mask. It was clear that it could have easily covered his mouth and nose, and drowned him on dry land, just like that. Eloise gave a low chuckle, the message clearly having been sent. She had spent the time waxing poetic just to get to that point, letting the flesh that splashed out from from his strikes stick onto him, allowing it to slowly, and carefully make their way up his body while she kept the focus on her. "A human would fear giving up his arm or leg just to get the job done. I," she blinked as the rain poured down on her face, sliding off her body as if it were made of wax, "have no such restraint, for I am not human. Or something like that." She turned to face Edzan again. "Here, let me get those off for you. Don't try to peel them off, you'll just rip your own face off." She sighed, and lay back down on the wet floor, letting the rain come down on her once more. The flesh on the teacher's face melted away, dropping down onto the floor with her. Some extra sediments on Delta Force's arms, having changed their colour to meld in with its appearance and disguise itself as part of it, also melted off, falling to the ground.

The separated flesh crawled slowly back to herself, seeking to return back to their original body, like bees returning to their give, as she continued to gaze up at the fake buildings and the rain. Chirpily, she opened her mouth and spoke again. "So, whaddaya think, Teach? Think I could fetch a nice, cozy seat in the backstage?"

Edzan didn't even flinch as the flesh that shot to his face, simply looking at it for a moment before looking back at the girl, Delta Force could have slammed the flesh away if it wanted to at any time, but Edzan knew the time restriction he faced, so after it was removed he nodded to Eloise.

"Good work. I'm sure you'll fit in fine with everyone else. and I believe we are at the end of our time. for future notice, you may want to rethink the things you can get passed him... Delta Force I mean." with that he turned and walked away, before the ground around Eloise all exploded in an instant, leaving her on a small tower of stone and concrete with a large sunken area in a circle around her that Delta Force had punched in within the blink of an eye.

walking away filling out another exam card he chuckled to himself, shaking his head as Delta Force reappeared to his side
"These stary eyed recruits don't know what they're getting into... Best of luck to them, They'll need it." with that the buzzer sounded.

Swinging his tail around to smack away whatever he heard behind him he cackled again before saying "were those hands...?" under his breath. Flapping upwards he smirked, these young punks thought just cause it was 3 on 1 he'd lose? fat chance! flying upward his wings and tail grew larger as he gained altitude

"You kids are gonna need nap time after this one! Dragon Bomb!"

shooting upward breaking the sound barrier before looping back around and shooting down at an alarming rate, He moved like a comet hurdling straight for them. his tail dragging behind and wings pulled close to him he looked like a missile.

"I'll send ya' flowers at the hospital! Gryahahaha-" he was cut off by the sound of a loud buzzer, instantly he stuck a wing out and lifted his tail to the side and instantly turned and slammed through a wall. in the crater, he stood up shakily and stumbled toward them

"Well... I'm honestly surprised how long you held in there... and jumping in to help them was a good plan, they would have needed it, Hehe- Ouch.. I gotta go fill out these cards or whatever, Staff'll be hearing good things about you lot... you can be sure of that- ow.."
with that he walked off flipping through some papers, grumbling to himself about walls being too hard

Lana had been busy with her usual cycle of rescues and defensive assault, swinging a massive chunk of broken car at yet another evasive robot while a civilian hid behind a snapped park tree behind her. As the faux villain went up in smoke, she glanced back to the tree and spotted the civilian giving her a thumbs up. Walking over, she lowered herself to where they could grab onto her shoulders again before starting the long series of jumps which would take them to the nearest relief station. It was more like a point counter, Lana found, as most of the volunteers weren't really in danger.

She had even seen a few from the towers with parachutes just in case they fell, only a few she'd picked up so far had any real wounds. And even then, the only students who seemed to stick around the Relief stations were those with actual healing capabilities whether it be from a quirk or some medical expertise. Lana didn't know if their first aid actually counted towards their acceptance, but she'd bet on it. Taking care of the weak was a pillar for any hero, it sounded ridiculous to consider accepting hero-course students without taking their Healing abilities into account. Then again... that was just her thoughts.

They were halfway to the nearest relief station when the Buzzer sounded. She heard the Volunteer hanging on her release a sigh, "Finally..." under his breath

She didn't comment, merely making her way as the sounds of combat died down. All that was left were the creaks of the testing city, the sounds of the robotic villains being called back, and other applicants making their way out now that all was said and done. Lana spotted a few of them making their way by the relief station, watched some of them pat each other on the back or even yell at one another for one reason or another. A particular few seemed determined to ask several volunteers how they rated, the sight of which made the Volunteer Lana carried sigh as they approached.

Watching him meet up with several other actors, Lana glanced to the trickle of students leaving the city before closing her human eye. Glancing down with her cluster of eyes, she turned her attention back towards the city and began hopping. On her second trip jumping into the city, she saw a lot more applicants leaving. She could admit she was surprised so many Orphans were still standing, but her face would never show it. Instead, she focused on returning to a certain intersection next to a certain overturned car, where a certain pile of clothes lay.

Looking over the pile, Lana hummed at the layer of dust and dirt now covering her dress. While it was lucky that nobody had demolished them while she was gone, it would seem that several nearby blasts had dirtied them in her absence. It was something she could live with, and she quickly moved to dress herself. Folding her second pair of arms along her legs, she patted as much of the dirt off as possible. At least it didn't stain, but she'd definitely have to put this dress through the wash once she returned.

With her clothing situated, Lana began making her way out. She slid her eye patch back on brushed her hair out of the way, eager to be done with all of this so she could return home and read in peace once more. Maize would be placated with this, and after that it didn't really matter whether she made it in or not.
