The realm of Artainia
Artasia unlike most worlds is a unified singular nation. It spans over 10,000 miles and has many large cities built upon the massive continent. Weather is pretty uniform with storms building only on the coast of the endless sea to the west. The most surprising thing is that artasia is Flat, people in this world say "circle" instead of "Globe". So far the edges arent really edges at all, they are simply places deemed impossible to traverse, infact many believe Artasia to be much, much larger, perhaps even infinite. The the west is the endless ocean, which is pretty self explainitory. 11,289 miles to the east of the ocean is is the Eternal sands,a desert that has never been traversed, temperatures here can exceed 160F and there is no water to be found. In the northernmost section of Artasia is the Everfrost, a massive frozen tundra which gets colder and colder the more north one goes.
Finally if one goes south they find the Infinity Spires. A range of mountains which go up as far as the eye can see...and beyond. Many explorers have tried to bypass these four boundaries but none have ever returned...

The creatures of Artasia are fierce, and powerful. The weakest monsters live in the center and are common appearances to humans. Goblins, Wolves, Wild horses, and other common animals dwell in the 1000 mile wide central zone known as the Peace Ring, beyond that is another 1500 mile wide ring known as the Knights Ring, the creatures here are more powerful and many have intelligence Mammoths, Unicorns, Ogres, And Other more difficult mosters dwell there. Further still is the Champions ring, here some of the toughest monsters man encounters dwell here, Massive Baloths, Giants, Wyverns, And even golems dwell here.
Finally there is the Master ring which extends to the boundaries, this ring is filled with Dragons, Titans, Djinn, and Other nigh godlike creatures. Lastly there are the Wyms which dwell in the boundaries. These Wyrms are mind bogglingly large serpents which live in and beyond the boundary zones. Some are multiple miles thick and hundreds of miles long, only one being has ever slayed one of these, and even then it was an infant onky 3 miles long...probably why no one has ever gotten past the boundaries.

In artasia there are two sources of magic, the Bloodlines, and the Pale. Long ago, thousands of years ago all beings had magic gifted to them by the gods, however a handful of wizards calling themselves the Shine attempted to master magic entirely, stealing magic from others and fortifing their own power. The gods were furious at this squandering of their gift, so they banished the Shine to the underworld and removed magic from all beings. Over the Centuries many have risen, showing great enough Courage, Virtue, and Good will that the gods granted them the abikity to use magic. They passed this ability to their children and the bloodlines were created. However deep in the bowels of the underworld the Shine had changed. They began to extract power from the demons of the underworld eventually gaining the notice of Aegon Calderan who lead a party of heroes into the underworld where they cut down the Demon God and attempted to destroy the shine once and for all. However the Shine had changed, and taken to calling themselves The Pale. They faked their defeat at the hands of the heroes and used them to find the way out. That was 2000 years ago and since then The Pale have been waging war against the Living, the Bloodlines, and the very gods who banished them. Their demonic magic spread and now any who use dark power must gain it from them, whereas the power of light only comes from the Gods.
Artasia is one of four realms that exist together. The First is Endymion the uppermost realm amd the domain of the gods, below that is The Nyx which is basically the heavens or outer space, it is also the destination for those who die and were not wicked, they go on to be stars and worlds of their own (common religious belief, isnt actually true...or is it?) Then comes the physical plane of Artasia, where life dwells and our story takes place, finally there is Obzedat, the underworld, hell, the lake of fire. This is the realm of the demons whos dark power is as old and potent as the gods, and is the source of the Pales power. It is believed that Magic also exists in ths Nyx but none have found it.
The city of Goldenview is both the wealthiest and largest city in all of Artasia. Nestled in the dead center of the peace ring, and protected by the mighty Golden Guard and a great 80ft tall stone wall that is 15ft thick. The denizens of this city have little to fear, it is home to the royal family, and many of the worlds finest artisans, crafters, and warriors. It spans 13 miles from wall to wall and is shaped like a perfect circle. Its territories extend another 56 miles around it. However for all its vices and virtues the city is most well known for its ivory buildings and gold plated roofs making it shine in the daytime as if it were gold.
