Fandom [Closed AF] Black Panther: New Mutants

The whistles of the wind of being on top of the Japanese skyscraper blew by M'Baru's ears. His foot was on the edge, and he had positioned himself so he could cast his brown eyes over the edge of the building. They were a many a story high, and his eyes didn't reflect a bit of confidence as his voice traveled through the air, accent strong,"Sister, are you sure about this?"

A softer, mezzo-soprano voice responded to that baritone one from earlier, with a similar accent,"Come on brother, don't be a walking stereotype. Shuri and I designed the flight suit function, do you not trust us?"

He looked down at his brown hand, as his body began to be covered by a black suit, that was similar to T'Challas in all but very few details. He hadn't covered his face yet, and he glanced behind him,"I trust Shuri, it's you I don't trust. Besides, did you ever tell her you stole her suit design, for our use on your last visit home?"

The girl stepped forward out of the shadows, in a similar suit as the man before him a smile playing on her lips,"I'll get around to it..." and with that she ran over the edge and jumped off the skyscraper. Cursing under his breath, M'Baru did the same but instead flipped off before lying flat and spreading his arms. Under his arms and connected to his torso were webbed like wings, that made him like a flying squirrel ...or maybe just a guy in those gliding flight suits. Chizoba was much of the same as she cut through the air, before both of them lined up with each other and was aiming at a window, going at high velocity.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the glass stood a man in a nice tailored suit holding an assault rifle. He slowly turned to face the glass, and looked behind him to another group of men, and in Japanese spoke "Boss..what's this?"

And when he looked up, the two had disappeared and he rose a brow,"I don't see anything don't waste my -" before he could finish the lights had cut out, and then all you can see is the light of gunfire, before a bunch of thumps were heard next and the lights were on with the two from earlier standing around a bunch of bodies. Thoguh their suits looked similar to T'Challa's as mentioned before, one thing for sure was different. Their masks were shaped to be more similar to a wolf's, including a longer 'nose piece.' Chizoba's was outlined in white, while M'Baru's was outlined in black, so it looked like no outline at all.

M'Baru looked over to his sister,"You know, sometimes it'll be just easy to kill them.." he muttered stepping over a few bodies, and moving out in the hallway his sister close in tow. With a slight playful push, she groaned a bit,"We're spies not murderers..heads up." She said pointing ahead, as a man started to shoot off a bunch of rounds, but the bullets just reflected off the suits. M'Baru stepped first, shrugging off the bullets before disappearing as the lights in the hallway flashed. He reappeared on the other side of the shooter, and took him down quickly and painfully,"Man, this never gets old."

The continued down the hall into another room, where they found four people strapped down to a couch with a bomb strapped on to them. and one had a briefcase handcuffed to their wrist. M'Baru vanished, and so did the lights go with him, before he reappeared where he was originally standing with the briefcase in his hands, before opening it up,"Well look at this..It's Vibranium sis, we got it. Let's go..."

"We can't leave them..."
M'Baru had already started to turn to head to the rooftop, when those words stopped him in his track,"Sis they're note even Japanese, they're colonizers."

"We're no better than them if we just leave them to die...I'll go search the area to see if there is a remote detonator. ." and with that she disappeared out of the room, and M'Baru found himself sitting on a cushioned seat across from the four white men," You know, if it were up to me? You'd guys would explode." he mentioned making and explosion with his free hand, with the sound effects and all,"So you should thank her when you see her."

"I can't find a detonator.....I think it's weight triggered..."
"Welp we tried...."
"M'Baru..."
"FINE!" he exclaimed getting to his feet, he put his hands on the bomb, and the lights flashing, he disappearing and reappearing outside, and then leaving the bomb in the middle of the air he disappeared, and reappeared on the roof with his sister,"You make everything complex..." he muttered before a loud explosion went off. Chizoba glared at him and he shrugged,"WE completed the mission, no one died, perfect mission for you."

A beep came through before Chizoba held up her wrist, and saw the projection of Okoye,"M'Baru, Chizoba, we're recalling you...it's important. That's an order." and with that she disappeared. The two glanced at each other, before shrugging,"I guess it's back to Wakanda..." spoke M'Baru before sitting on his behind on top of the roof.

BLACK PANTHER..
NEW MUTANTS

ok from here, just make an introduction post about what your character is doing (if they're a war dog) when Okoye recalls them. Remeber war dogs are pretty much hands off, so the scene above is atypical.
If your character is not a war dog, then your introduction can be whatever you want if you want to introduce them right away :)

The cabin of the jet is dense with a duet of heavy breaths. A drunken trail of discarded clothing leads to the sofa where two bodies lay entangled. Kwame's face wears a dazed grin as he stares up at the ceiling, running a hand through the locks of the girl on top of him. He was sure she had a name, but he found himself unable to recall it at the moment. "Oh Kwame...." She says, tightening her grip around his waist. He lifts his head to smile at her, creasing his brow as he searches through his memories before giving up.

"Oh...you," He says pulling her in for another kiss as his hands explore the bare skin of her body.

One would think that being a being a pilot wouldn't be so...boring. At least in this line of work. When it came to working with the dogs, he was nothing more than a glorified chauffer drivers. Taking them to their mission and swooping back in to take them back home? He could do that with his eyes closed. Where was the action? Where was the fun? He glances at his communicator, making sure he hadn't missed anything. It'd just been so...quiet. Almost as soon as he says that, something catches the corner of his eye.

"What was that..." The girl asks, sitting up more and climbing off of him. Kwame's eyes widen as he briefly catches sight of flames in the sky, a faint boom sound almost audible. He backs away from the window, with a faint on smile his face.

"Action," He answers. He tears himself away from the window going to gather his clothes, handing the girl her dress as he does so. "I very much enjoyed my time with you, but I must go now. Here you go," He says handing her one of her heels. She stands there stunned for a moment as she slowly begins to get dressed again. "You're leaving? Why are you leaving?! You told me you were to take me around the city!"

Before he can respond, he hears his communicator and swears under his breath in his mother tongue. Moving at lightening speed he pulls on the rest of clothes. Motioning for the girl to be quiet, he gets his communicator and heads into the bathroom where she is out of view, to take the call from the twins. "Yes, yes, I'm coming. I saw the...whatever it was. Sit tight and don't blow anything else up. I'm on my way, goodbye!" He rushes the words out, hanging up as he reenters the cabin, finding the woman with her clothes on, lightly taking her arm as he escorts her to the door. "I very much enjoyed my time with you, but I really must be going now."

"You're not even going to take me home?!"

Kwame takes out his phone, making a few quick motions with his thumb as he takes a seat in the pilots seat. His hands fly across the familiar buttons and switches as the inside of the jet comes hums to life. The doors open as he make his way over to the girl, escorting her to the exit. "I have already called for an Uber to take you home safely, at no cost to you!"

Her face flushes red as she descends down the steps, exiting the hover craft and stepping back out onto the balcony of the sky scrapper that held the lounge where she'd spent most of her night. "Pig!" She shouts back at him trying to yell over the sound of the wind.

"Yes, I wish you the best as well Tara! Farewell!"

"My name is Tricia!"

"Is that not what I said?!" He doesn't wait for a response as he takes off, the jet takes to the sky, becoming invisible as it blends in with the night sky. From the roof, the woman watches him vanish, huffing as she turns on her heel and reenters the club.

Kwame feels excitement start to flow through him as he watches the stars fly by him, outside the window. His hands are steady as he smoothly makes his way to where he's supposed to get the twins. He spots the building, drawing in closer to them once he sees him. With the jet still cloaked he flips the switch to open the door again, a small walk way lowering to the edge of the roof so that they can board. He nods to them, waving. "You called?" He asks, nodding to them both as they walk in. Once they're inside and settled in, he closes the door and takes to the skies again. "How was your mission?" He asks. "By the way...for no particular reason, do not sit on or touch that couch," He says pointing the sofa he'd spent some his night on.

"Room service!"

Shani uses her kindest voice, a sweet English one that rests lightly in the air. Before the door knob even turns she's already wearing a bright smile. On her cart sits a platter of shrimp, some glasses, and a bottle of wine that she was willing to bet cost more than everything else on the cart combined. The door opens and she's greeted by a sharply dressed man who steps aside motioning her inside. "About time you got up here, how long does it take together a shrimp platter and grab a bottle of wine?" He chastises, cold blue eyes narrowing at her.

Shani frowns, hanging her head in shame. "My apologies, Mr. Weber. You're one of our most high profile guests and we wanted to make sure everything was perfect for you," She says. "If you would kindly let me in, I can prepare your drinks for you." She looks up at him again, smiling as she tucks away a loose strand of hair that had fallen free from her otherwise immaculate bun. The man sighs, stepping aside as she enters, pushing her cart with her. The door closes behind her and she feels a cold chill as he walks by her, plucking some shrimp of the platter on the cart. She glances up at him, pursing her lips before looking again shyly.

Mr. Weber, raises an eyebrow. "Something wrong with eyes or something?"

Shani keeps her eyes low as she unscrews the cork of the wine, pouring some into a glass for him as he turns his attention back to his phone. "Nothing, I suppose I'm just a little starstruck. I never run into very many...interesting people. Usually just boring celebrities. Pop stars and the works. None of them interest me the way you do, Mr. Weber." She gathers his glass with dainty gloved hands, crossing across the room to bring to him. He's unable to hide his pride as he accepts it, with a nod.

"Aah, so you're a business savvy one are you? Can't say I've ever been told that I'm that intriguing." He takes a sip of his drink before continuing on. "It's a shame, how not many seem to appreciate those who really keep this world turning." He turns to her again, rolling his shoulders. "Why are the buttering up? If you're trying to weasel your way into a tip you can forget about it."

She doesn't respond right away, watching a he drinks his wine, almost to the last drop. "Oh not at all, Mr. Weber." She steps away from her cart, going to the door to lock it securely. He catches her taking a few steps towards. "Hey! The hell do you think you're-" He stops suddenly, dropping his empty wine glass going into a coughing fit, specks of blood staining the crisp white collar of his shirt. He continues coughing, falling to his knees as he grasping onto the dresser with convulsing hands.

Shani watches on, almost boredom as she approaches, kicking the empty glass aside with a perfect sweep of her leg. "If anything, Peter, I'm here to give you a tip." She goes to the windows where the view is overlooking the city. The pulsing lights and glow of the high moon vanish as she draws the curtains closed.

He grasps at his throat, his veins turning shade of blue reminiscent of death. He convulses, blood shot eyes burning holes into her as he swipes at her legs, barely managing to disturb the fabric of her pants as he falls over and his body tenses up. "Who the hell are you? W-what happened t-t-to you a-accent."

"Shhh," She says, looking down at him with her arms crossed. Her tone having shifted to something colder and more foreign. "The tip, Peter, is that it hurts less if you only speak when I tell you to. Understand?"

"R-r-rot in hell you crazy, bitch."

She sucks her teeth, waving a finger at him as if he's a child, tilting her head in amusement. "We'll work on it," She says reassuringly. "It's awful isn't it? You take your eyes off your drink for one second, and next thing you know...but you already familiar with all that? Aren't you, Peter?" She picks up his phone thumbing through his recent messages and seeing no mention of the vibranium. Just some communication between a goon he had patrolling the building. She sends a quick text.

Someone's onto us. Move position to the streets and patrol there.

She sends it, getting confirmation a few moments later. "That's taken care of," She says tucking the phone in her back pocket.

He struggles to retort. Dry, blue lips open and close over and over, like a fish out of water struggling to breath. He gives up, taking slow raspy breaths, his limbs seizing up as his body goes rigid. Shani nods in approval and crouches down next to him, resting on her haunches like panther ready to pounce on meek prey. "Now, let's get to business. You took something that doesn't belong to you and I want to have it back. I need to know which one of your contacts has the vibranium...oh, you have permission to speak now."

He doesn't reply right away, his chest heaving as ragged breaths escape him. "I don't know....what...you're talking about."

Shani manages to refrain from rolling her eyes, as she goes to the cart again. She removes the lid from a silver platter and beneath it, is a bundle of flowers. Small violet petals adorn the stem as she picks them up, holding them delicately as she approaches him again, kneeling down. "This," She begins, holding up the plants for him to see. "Is what is inside of you right now. The feeling of inside of your throat peeling and your heart burning? Not being able to move your limbs? It is all because of this flower. However," She sets aside all but one of the flowers and of the one that remains she plucks off a single stem with several petals. "This is all I put in your drink. And it hasn't even reached it's peak yet. So I'll ask you once more. Where. Is. The vibranium?"

His eyes dark around as he struggles with his answer. He looks to the closet by the bathroom and chokes out a response. "There..." He says. "Briefcase....top shelf."

She follows his gaze and looks back at him before standing and walking over the door. "Don't go anywhere," She says as she opens the door. Her eyes scan the interior before glint in the top right corner catches her eye. She pulls it down, looking on the inside giving a mental sigh of relief when she finds it. She stares at it for a few moments, reaching out to brush the surface and feel it hum beneath her fingers. She closes the lid and looks back at Peter. "That wasn't so hard now was it? Why is that none of you rich, white men ever want to just participate?"

"That's all....there is. I swear! Now get this stuff out of me!"

Shani tilts her head, crossing her arms with the briefcase dangling in one hand. "My apologies, Mr. Weber. I was so eager to finally meet you that I must have forgotten to bring the antidote. But no worries, I have an alternative," She gathers the rest of the flowers, tucking them away and walking back over to Peter once more. "Let's this be a lesson to you, Peter. Never steal from, Wakanda." She delivers a sharp kick to his temple and his head slumps to the side as he loses consciousness. Once he's out, she allows herself to breath an actual sigh of relief. She'd been confidant about her mission but recovering the viburnum on her own felt a blessing that shouldn't be taken for granted. No sooner than she'd done so, her wrist beeps and moments later a holographic message from Okoye appears. "Shani, we're recalling you...it's important. That's an order." The message vanishes and she sighs. "And duty calls once more."

She goes to the cart, reaching under the bottom shelf to pull out the backpack she'd bought with her. Stripping out of her house keeping disguise, she replaces it with all black clothing. Courtesy of and few gadgets to be on the safe side. She places the vibranium in the bag, going to the sliding door that leads out to the balcony. The wind tousles the loose strands of her hair as she hooks a small clamp to the railing and the other around the waist. Concealed by the night, she climbs up on the railing and without hesitation, drops down the side of the building, hidden from the guests inside and any possibly onlookers. Rushing air howls in her ear as the cable drops her down lower and lower. Eventually her feet the ground and she retracts the other end of the grapple. She stands in the ally behind the casino, looking back up at the window she'd left out of with disdain for the man inside. But that was over.

Now? Now it was time to go home.

The twins made their way on the ship, removing their suits and looking over to Kwame. Chizoba rose a brow as she looked over to the sofa,"So we're not going to address why he has a sofa, in a military transport ship?" she asked motioning towards the sitting apparatus with a bit of a huff,"I'm sure that violates some policy or something.."

M'Baru had moved to secure the Vibranium in the lockup, it closing behind a force field and he glanced over his shoulder,"It does. Chapter 10, Section 3, Article 5 -Any unapproved equipment found in any transport is subject to punishment." he chuckled a bit before shaking his head,"Also, Chapter 12, Section 3, Article 3. Any lude acts done in military spaces while on duty, will be met with swift punishment. But as long as he keeps our secret, we'll keep his." he mentioned before moving over to Kwame and patting him on the should. The secrets he was referring to wasn't just the suit that they had, which they weren't supposed to. It was also what let them complete missions with efficiency, a secret that only Kwame knew and they weren't willing to tell anyone else.

Chizoba shrugged,"He's on his own during inspection." she commented bring up a bunch of holographic projections, making a bunch of swiping motions as the different screens popped up and disappeared,"So that message we got about a new king that we never followed up on..." she said as she pulled up a picture of Erik Killmonger. She sighed a bit,"Turns out, it wasn't a prank by Shuri. This man had really become king, and that request to take our weapons and distribute it to the black people in the world was real. He's dead, so elder brother is king again ...but Still."

M'Baru looked over to Kwame, before taking in a deep breath,"That's probably why we're being recalled....I wonder what's going to happen."

She had been watching and learning about her target for a little over two months. In order to be efficient she would have to learn all that she could, from his schedule to the way he rubbed his hands together when he was nervous. Zoya had gotten ahold of his medical files as well, he was in perfect until for. He was a big shot business man who came from old money. There was a charming quality about him which helped hide his true self. Human trafficking and drug dealing were just two atrocities on his list. Zoya was tasked with retrieving the vibranium that he’d managed to get his sleazy hands on. She knew that it was stashed away in his office.

The club that he owned was popular. Not many people knew that upstairs was like a different place all together. It was a place where criminals of all types came to have a good time. Zoya descreetly watched her target from across the bar. She had dressed in the typical little black dress, her shoulders dress and legs on display. The black wig that she wore was long and layered. Zoya sent a drink his way, his favorite of course and watched as the waiter left to bring it to him.

A smirk made its way onto her face once their eyes locked. She turned in her seat, counting the seconds before she felt a tap on her shoulder. Zoya slowly turned around. “Yes?” She raised an eyebrow.

“I’ve never had a woman send me a drink and my favorite at that. I’m not much for small talk, I’ve noticed the little looks that you’ve been sending me. Follow me to my office and we’ll have a good time.” A hand rubbed her arm in what was suppose to be in a seductive way. Zoya only felt disgust

Together they left the lower level of the club. Zoya resisted the urge to snap the arm around her waist. Instead she focused on the details of the upper level. The hall was full of doors, she had an idea of what was going on inside. Finally they reached his office. Two guards stood on either side. Zoya kept her head down as she was escorted inside. She mentally smirked when the two burly men were advised to not disturb them.

“So this is my office, impressive isn’t it?” Her target swaggered over to his desk and sat in the large chair. “Have a seat baby.” He patted his lap. “It is.” She took note of the window leading to the alley. Zoya smiled slyly and sauntered over. She plopped down onto his lap and placed her hands on his shoulder. Zoya watched with no little amusement as he puckered his lips and started to lean in. “Mr.Bianchi, so foolish and easily seduced.” With a quick strike to his vegas nerve in his knock he’s out cold. Zoya grabs the key located around his neck.

She climbed out of his laps and searched the room. A single painting caught her eye. She makes her way over, removing the painting to reveal a safe. After putting in the key, she tapped her finger against her chin while staring at the key pad. Zoya entered a few numbers, the birthday of his youngest child, and opened the safe. Zoya pulled out the satchel, she looked inside to confirm that it was in fact the vibranium.

As soon as she made it outside her Kimoyo beads started to beep. The holographic image of Okoye appeared before she stating that she was being recalled. Zoya smiled and left the alley, heading to the crappy apartment that she’d been staying in. On the way there she snatched the wig she’d been wearing and chucked it. The cornrows underneath free for all to see. It was time for her to go home.

Kwame feigns a look of despair and shock. "Is passion lewd now, M'Baru? Does Chapter....13, section 4 article...bah, whatever!" He says with a scoff. He grins up at M'Baru as he steers. "That is why we are such good friends." For as much of a clown as he was, Kwame knew what not to run his mouth about. However it wasn't just the twins excellent combat and stealth skills that motivated him to stay quiet. He found that he quite enjoyed their company as well.

"Don't worry, Chizoba, I can handle inspection," He says in a lazy voice. "Remember our motto, be cool, and trust in Kwame."

He listens to Chizoba and grits his teeth as he looks at the picture. "So many perfectly good ships destroyed that day over his idiocy. I'm glad I never had to fly under the rule of that lunatic," He mumbles.

"Whatever it is, if Okoye sent it you directly? It must be really big."

Nuru sat in the office of infamous Sacha Müller. A infamous crime boss and leader of the Müller family. As usual Nuru was doing what he did best. Giving and getting information, though the giving part towards outsiders came with a price. Unbeknownst to the crime lord he was currently giving Nuru precious information without even realizing. It was almost sad really, such a powerful crime lord should be able to hold his liquor better. Nuru was fine with listening to the portly man’s rambling. Honestly he preferred this over his other methods, it tended to get a little...messy when people weren’t cooperating with him.

After what seemed like hours Nuru finally stood. And after shaking the man’s hand he was gone, leaving his full cup of wine behind. Nuru had been climbing into his car when a message from Okoye appeared, telling him that he was being recalled. He smiled and drove off of the Müller estate.

Imani was doing important work. Mostly stitching up wounds, even though it was unnecessary. With their technology, stitches were obsolete. However, being in the field it would be a temporary fix until they got back. The person in question being stitched up, Imani could kill herself. Instead of waiting for directions, a runt on her team decided he was going to run in head first in a line of gunfire.

Her mission was a stealth mission and it had been for the past week. No one knew she was following and they hadn't a clue about it. The only reason things went to pot was because of a third party. Whoever they were screwed up her mission. She was securing information on a nearby village of slave-traders when, what seemed like a competing group, showed up and began shooting.

Her team was made up of four people, including herself. Originally, she was only there to make sure whoever got hurt got patched up, but with so many squadron leaders off doing their own thing, she was stuck. Her plan was to just let them take each other out and watch from the sidelines. Except, the trigger happy newbie decided he was going to take matters into his own hands. Before Imani could say anything, he had already run out from the bushes they used for cover.

With her teeth gritted, she instructed the others to stay put and that she'd call if needed. Running out, she disarmed one and basically subdued him with his own weapon, and then several others. By the time she was done, she was out of breath and looking around for the fool. He was on the ground groaning, gripping his arm. Kneeling down to check, she sucked air in through her teeth and kicked him. "You're fine. It just grazed you."

As she sat in the medical room, seeing to it that he got healed up okay, she had an incoming call. Putting the bowl of grapes she was eating under her arm, she answered. She saw it was Okoye, recalling everyone. "Well, I'm already back to base..." She thought to herself, scowling at the injured. Another message came up, it being a picture of Erik Killmonger. Her reaction, to the least, was expected. The bowl of grapes she held dropped to the ground and she just stood there, frozen like an antelope in headlights. How had that happened?

"If the general sent it, then it is big," M'Baru said with a sigh. Time would pass and they would be nearing Wakandan borders,"Chizoba..." he mentioned taking off his necklace and tossing it to her.

"Got it," she responded as she caught it, and locked it away in a compartment on the ship. She looked over to her brother, who nodded as the ship finally landed and they walked out, they were met by General Okoye at the dock.

The two looked at each other before back to Okoye,"General...it's been too long.." M'Baru said with a sly smirk. But Okoye didn't looked to pleased as she stared at him,"M'Baru I'm aware that your reports have been altered before they were sent. I am not sure what you have been up to, but we will discuss that later. You must appear before the council, along with a few of the others."

"A family reunion...sounds fun..." he spoke before Chizoba elbowed him and he nodded as the two ran off. It wouldn't be too long before they were standing before the council of the tribes, with the queen mother and Shuri behind the throne. Chizoba ran over to Shuri and the wo began to discuss some things, before eventually T'Challa walked in and they all bowed.

The King moved with grace before he sat on the throne, and looked around at everybody,"With so much transition in the kingdom, we have been distracted from a major issue. It seems that N'Jadaka is not the only of his kind. There are many out there, and we are not sure if they all have been branded like my cousin. I know that some of you were born here, but your opinion on this matters. Because they were not born here in Wakanda, they did not receive some of our precautionary screening and have suffered from mutations, and some have even developed powers. We must decide how to handle this moving forward."

A bunch of chatter went around the room, some of the people yelling keep them away, some saying cure them, some accepting. M'Baru grew irritated and he stood up,"Your highness if I may..." he stated as T'Challa nodded to him,"Perhaps we take these mutations case by case. I have seen the mutations you have referred to in other people. There is a teen who we found and observed who can make super heated plasma. He can do many things with this, but it seems he has a brewing hated for the United States, but I'm sure you all of heard of the X-Men. Hmm? They use their powers to combat other mutants who use their powers for evil. Some of these powers are no more than tools...."

Kwame docks the ship, landing smoothly as he shuts everything down and stands. He pats the control panel. "Until, we meet again friend," He says to the ship, thankfully not getting a reply. Otherwise he would have greater problems then whatever it was Okoye was calling them in for. He follows M'Baru and Chizoba off the ship to greet the general. Immediately his posture straightens, trying to project something that he knows he isn't. He nods to the general, though her focus is mainly on the other two. He watches the exchange between M'Baru and Okoye with a raised eyebrow. Was that normal for them? Or perhaps it was just a panther tribe thing. Either way, he wouldn't bother to ask. Even he was against asking too many questions when it came to the twins' affairs. He worked with them, and knew enough to not want to ask too many questions.

"The council?" He echos, chiming in when a bit of the conversation makes him perk up more. He looks at Okoye with a peaked brow. He'd never been before the council before, it could mean one of two things. The situation was either really good, or really bad. It was quite obvious which one it was, but it made him feel better to think otherwise. He nods to the twins as they head off to be seated with their respectful tribe.

He heads into where everyone else is, looking around for a familiar face, smirking when he sees one. He approaches a girl straight, thick hair that stops at her shoulders. "Shani!" He greets excitedly. "My favorite, Ice Queen!"

Her face lights up in a fake smile as she puts a hand over her heart. "Kwame! My least favorite court fool." He chuckles as she turns away, looking back at the throne in anticipation, biting down on her bottom lip nervously. Despite her wardog status, she still wore the purple colored attire of the Priest tribe. She watches the throne and bites her nails.

"What do you think they're going to say? If the lunatic didn't really become king-

"Shh! Be careful what you say. I heard he was blood to the king," She chastises, slapping his chest with the back of her hand. "Move your big head so that the others have room to stand with us."

Kwame steps aside a bit, falling quiet as the king began to speak. Now there was someone to admire. Sure, Kwame was sure that was going to have a statue dedicated to him someday and the stories of his narrow escapes from death would be taught to rookie pilots for years to come, but he knew he would never hold a candle to T'Challa. Not that anyone would ever be able to anyway. He crosses his arms, as he listens, swallowing thickly. He remembers the tales of mutants he used to be told as a child, they're the same ones he tells to his brother now. Men who could summon fire from their very hands at whim, women with wings, people who had about a million different ways they could kill you in the blink of an eye. He peaks a brow when M'Baru responds and scoffs. "Case by case and determine that every one of them is dangerous..."

Shani's shushes him again, more irritated than before. "This is important," She turns away from him, looking around the crowd again and spotting another familiar face. Desperate for different company she tries to catch Imani's eye from across the way and wave her over when she gets her attention.

Imani was in a mood. Mostly because her little healing tour had been cut shorter than she would have liked. She was going around both healing people and gaining information. Before leaving, she had gotten permission to use very little and untraceable amounts of vibranium on her journey, as not to attract too much attention. In turn, people began to think she was some sort of healing mutant. She was far from it but she wasn't going to correct them. Better to let them think that than to know the truth.

Regardless, she was upset that she was called before she could do more work. She took her time getting down to the throne room. So much time, in fact, that Ayo took notice while Okoye was busy with the twins. "You are late." Imani took a deep breath before putting her hands behind her back. "You are a doctor. If someone's life were at stake, would you be late?" Imani gave her a pointed look. "Hey, no one is dying, okay? Well, here. Maybe out there though. But, I wouldn't be able to help because I've got to attend a meeting that I'm sure we could have had over Kimoyo beads." She was surprised Ayo let her go on talking like this, before realizing she was going to pay for it. "When this is over," she started speaking as she started walking away, "Training." Ayo was going to knock her on her ass and she knew it.

Imani followed suit with everyone else into the throne room, biting her lip. Her mind was on the fact that Ayo was about to give her bruises for the next few weeks. Maybe she should have kept her mouth shut and then she would be able to have normal brown skin. Not purple with big welts that hurt when touched.

Like everyone else Nuru and Zoya walked into the throne room, they bowed at the sight of their king and straightened when told to. The knowledge of mutants did surprise either of them as they had encountered a few during their missions. They listened as their king spoke and then M’Baru. Their opinions on the matter varied. Zoya saw no problems with mutants. They could be quite useful when needed. Nuru on the other hand was skeptical. While these mutants could be powerful allies they could also be dangerous enemies. Not to mention if they lacked any control. He believed that they could be more trouble than they were worth.

T'Challa tapped a finger on his chin as he looked out around the room,"I think M'Baru has a point. I am going to send a group of you on a mission. M'Baru, Chizoba, Shani, Nuru, Zoya, Imani, and Kwame, Okoye will explain your mission and why I am sending so many of you. You all are dismissed."

M'Baru bowed once more, and so did his sister as he glanced over his shoulder. Everyone was starting to disperse, but he wanted to catch shani before she left. When he spotted her, he slowly approached her with a smirk,"I guess we're working together....."

Kwame listens eagerly as T'Challa lists off the names, fingers crossed at his side. He smiles when he hears his name and Shani groans. Kwame was eager for any chance to be in the skies, flying was like his drug. "See you in the debriefing, then?" He says to Shani.

"Unfortunately..."

Kwame simply laughs before leaving, making sure to bow before he made his way over to Nuru, Zoya and Imani as they trickled out. "Well then, it seems as though we're in for something aren't we? This should be quite fun!"

**

Shani watched as Kwame left, shaking her head. She began to wonder about which of her plants would come in handy when she caught someone approaching her through the crowd. She snorts a bit as she crosses her arms, regarding him with a raised brow. "Ahh, so you were paying attention? Impressive." She teases.

She watches him a few moments. "What's that look for? Wipe that smirk off your face," she says with a wave of her hand as if she could do so herself. "This sounds like it's going to be quite the job. You up for it?"

Imani wasn't going to lie, she was only partly paying attention. Her mind was off wandering, wondering about all the other things she could be doing at the moment. However, she knew her country and whatever issues she had came first. Hearing her name being called along with the others is what brought her back to reality.

The only good thing that came out of it was the chance she'd get out of training with Ayo. Perhaps she hadn't told Okoye what had happened and therefore would get away with talking out the side of her neck. "Kwame," Imani started, shaking her head. "You're like a child when their parent tells them they're going to an amusement park. Calm down." She glanced over towards Shani and M'Baru, crossing her arms. "You two want to come on? I swear if we get yelled at by Okoye, I won't let you hear the end of it."

Zoya could feel the familiar swell of pride when her name was called. It was always an honor to be assigned to important mission such as this one. She looked toward Kwame as he drew nearer. The young man was an excellent pilot and his love for his profession was obvious. Maybe a little too obvious if the whispers of what went on inside during the night were true. “Yes it appears that way. I’m not sure that things will be fun but I have no doubt that they will be interesting.” She smiled as she continued walking.

Nauru’s expression didn’t change when his name was called . He simply bowed to his king and went on his way. When Kwame approached he glanced at the pilot. “There will be no time for fun, especially with what you deem as fun.” Nuru looked at the pilot with a raised eyebrow. He turned to look forward again.

M'Baru chuckled when she made the comment about him listening,"Clearly I was listening I even spoke..." he radjusted his weight after spoke and sighed,"I'm up for it, but didn't expect to be stuck with such a big team. I guess they're going all out when they said they're sharing their resources with the world. We're going to be the African Avengers next...I ain't wearing no colorful spandex." he smiled before his ear twitched when he heard Imani speak. He glanced over at her and was about to flip her off when his sister grabbed his hand stopping him.

She looked up to him,"She's right...come on brother."

A scoff was his only response as he turned to walk towards the hanger,"Okoye this, Okoye that. It's like all of you are afraid of her...." he threw his hands up as he continued move, his sister turning to follow.

When they got to the hanger, Okoye would be standing there with Shuri by her side as she explained the mission.

"You all will be entering Cairo in two teams. Chizoba, M'Baru, Shani - you'll be the active team. I want you to act as an opposing guild of thieves to the street urchins. Gain some notoriety, and then parlay with their leader, workout some deal. All the while keeping an eye on this kid..." a hologram popped up of a young brown skinned boy with green eyes, and dreads braided into a fauxhawk,"Be careful, he is said to have powers but we aren't sure what they are yet. The second team, the passive team, I want you to infiltrate the police ranks. Find out everything you can about the street urchins, intercept responses to their thievery when you can, see if you can find anything more about this kid. Nuru, Imani, and Zoya. Kwame, just be ready to provide aerial support at all times. I hope you've all brushed up on your arabic."

Kwame puts on an exaggerated frown the others go on. "Your words truly wound me, my friends," He says in a low somber voice. He leaves with them glancing over at Nuru. "If by that you mean flying than I would we have time for that, otherwise this is going to shape up to be a rather difficult mission."

Shani laughs, rolling her eyes. "Well don't rule it out before try it. Not all of them wear spandex." Her eyes glance him over swiftly, sizing him up. "I think you could pull it off. You could wear a metal suit like Iron Man and look like a big tank all the time.Just not red. It isn't your color." She glances over as her friend beckons to them, sighing that that she'd interrupted them, even if she was right. She watched, all to aware of the response he was about to give in turn as Chizoba stopped him. She smiled to her and nodded looking back at Imani. "Yes, Imani, we know you won't she says, shaking her head as she makes her way out with the twins.

As they make their way to the hanger she snorts. "I respect, Okoye. I do not fear her."

"Speak for yourself," Kwame says from ahead, turning around to face the twins and Shani as he walked backwards. "You make it sound like we are the ones with the problem. But the one with the problem is you if you're not a afraid." He spins on his heel, facing forward again as they enter the hanger. Shani listens as Okoye gives them the details, she looks at the boy's image, sizing him up. He looked harmless enough, but in her line of work looks could be deceiving. She'd been both the fool and the trickster on many occasions.

When the teams are announced, she t glances over at M'Baru. Of course fate would have it that she was paired with him of all people. Her gaze lasts a few seconds too long for her comfort before she clears her throat and gives a curt nod to Okoye. "Yafham , eamatan. ln nufshila,"** She says.

Kwame rolls his eyes and mutters under his breath. "Show off,"

**Translation: Understood, General. We will not fail.

Imani raised an eyebrow at M'Baru before rolling her eyes at him. He was beginning to annoy her just by talking to her friend and the fact that her friend was talking back to him. "Fear has nothing to do with it," she snapped. "It's called being respectful and doing your job. But, you wouldn't know about that, would you?" She narrowed her eyes and gave a smirk before entering the hangar. Listening as Okoye spoke, she took a look at the picture. He was said to be a mutant and that meant trouble for them... Possibly.

Hearing who she was paired with, she didn't have much complaint. But hearing that Shani was with M'Baru, she internally rolled her eyes. That would probably be more trouble than the actual mutant was. However, to stay in her lane, she wasn't going to question it or bring it up. "Sayakun hdha mmtea." She said rather sarcastically. Clapping her hands together, she stretched her arms. "Then let's go."

Nuru shrugs his shoulders. “I will let believe that is what I meant.” He replied. He listened as the teams were announced. Nuru gives the General a short nod when she finished.

Zoya listened while gazing at the image of their target. He looked like the typical teenage boy to the unassuming. She listened as the teams were announced by General Okoye. “I am ready when you all are.”
