"So we you want disassemble the police force and rebuild it in your image pretty much? You do know that sounds completely insane right and we could easily make enemies with police quick doing this?.. Sound fun." Drake said smirking. "So how do we get to Gotham exactly? You have a plane, car, or our getting plane tickets to get there... Wait didn't you teleport here or something when you randomly appeared here?" Drake asked remember how Marcel just appeared here randomly.

@Sir Les Paul

"Instantaneous spatial transmission," Marcel replied, "It's not teleportation. Not in the meta-human sense. The suit creates a perfect replica of my physical form using energy projection, then disassembles my body at an atomic level to enter a quantum state. At the exact same time I disassemble, I reassemble where the energy was projected. There is no delay and it is impossible to do if the energy projection is obstructed; the transmission will fail and I will remain in place," Marcel explained. It was a fairly specific explanation. Not just in its detail, but in the fact it was the single subject he picked out of everything Drake mentioned to address. "I wouldn't normally make the correction, but the design is my own creation. No one alive has engineered a device that can replicate the consistency of the quantum leaps this suit is capable of. If technology is art, then this is my masterpiece," Marcel explained. It all came together with his final comment. Marcel wasn't just a man with a mission, he was a brilliant mind as well. All of this knowledge about the Bat family, and he was still apparently a completely capable engineer that incorporated complex physics that Drake probably didn't fully understand. In fact, it was enough to make Marcel completely forgot the rest of what Drake was talking about. There was a modicum of pride in his creation; one of the few portions of his personality he had thus far displayed to Drake.

Jenna knew that ground staring. Seemed Jess did that when disturbed. She remembered specifically the incident with the dragon and thats what she seemed to do when something was weighing on her. Well. She started, glancing up as if she almost expected to be interupted. Perhaps we should call Becky in here and all go do something to take the edge off?  Jenna asks. Perhaps if they all got to doing something enjoyable, it'd make whatever the problem was seem lesser and make it easier to talk about.

She mostly just wanted to clense the air for a minute and get everyone's mind off the strictly business attitude.

"...Got it. You have a device that can tele... I mean instantaneous transmission or something you around were ever you want. And your the only one who knows how to do it and how to make it." Drake said after a moment of thinking about what Marcel said. "At least you have a hobby... I think at least and not completely spending your time plotting against the bats. But moving on can your device teleport me to or is only for you? And if so back to what I ask before, How are we going to get to Gotham... Or at least how am I going to get to Gotham?" Drake asked still wondering how he was suppose to get to Gotham.

@Sir Les Paul

"On this scale, the device will only work on me. Furthermore, it's a short-range displacement," Marcel answered him. There was a tinge of disappointment in his tone. Drake didn't seem to understand the depth his device went into, but honestly, he shouldn't have expected him to. "Besides, we're not done in Bludhaven. We broke Nightwing once, but to drive the point home, we truly have to do what we claimed: cleanse this city. Bludhaven is full of filth that only fear Nightwing when she is in their alleyway. The fear we want to instill is not just some temporary feeling of being the prey; we are more than just the predators of the degenerate. They must know a fear that will make them second-guess their next crime. A fear that forces these thugs to think a minimum wage job is a better alternative than an encounter with us. Think about it, Drake? What is crime fighting? Stopping a crime that's been commit? What of the criminal? Behind bars, maybe? Does anything really change? If the threat of the law was enough to stop these people, would not the police be enough?" Marcel continued on.

"We have to remember why vigilantes are even needed in the first place: to do what the system can't. We need to stop crimes before they happen," Marcel told Drake, "and we do that by making criminals too scared to even try."

"You enjoy making short speaches don't you? I already agreed to help, you don't need to keep inspiring me man. A simple "we still need deal with criminals here and get these streets safe" would of been good enough." Drake said with a sigh. "Okay so where are going to start? A patrol of the city, attacking a gang hideout, humiliating another hero, or something else? I'm assuming you know a good place start here." Drake asked before looking down and noticed a paper attached to a knife in the ground.

This City is not Defenseless. There are others who wear the mantle. I will be watching. Don't let your guard down.

~BB

"How the hell did we not notice this before... and who is BB? Bat Bat?" Drake asked Marcel after reading the paper.

@Sir Les Paul

"Blackbird," Marcel replied. "Not much of a threat, not very interesting, hardly worth our time," he explained. Then an idea popped into his head. An odd idea, but an idea nonetheless. "She is cute, though; and, about your age," Marcel told Drake, "although, I guess you'd have to determine that for yourself." Marcel shrugged off the other questions Drake asked, fairly sure his previous comments would be enough to sate him. Not only that, Marcel was fairly sure they needed to assess their situation. He wasn't quite sure what type of retaliation would come their way. For the time, fighting low-level street crime with extreme prejudice would cut it, but eventually, they would need to do more.

@ChazGhost

Drake pocketed the bat shaped knife as Marcel explained that BB was Blackbird. "Never heard about her before... She's cute you say. I guess I should learn more about the hero we haven't picked on... through assuming she's not happy with us, guessing from the note at least, But she's problem more angry at you then me, so i may have a chance... Wait were are you going with this? Your don't seem like the kind of guy to randomly go into how a girl is cute." Drake asked forgetting that his other question weren't answered.

@Sir Les Paul

"Drake, I'm just lookin' out for you, my friend," Marcel explained as he patted Drake on the back. "You see, I've seen her files beneath the mask and you haven't. I just thought you'd be curious," he told him. "Do you like the punk-type? Piercings, short hair, a kick-your-ass attitude?" Marcel asked, continuing to distract Drake. Meanwhile, he was actually still plotting how he wanted to approach the situation. He recruited Drake, but he needed more. His suit had absolutely no integration and he already used his prior resources getting into and out of the Watchtower with his files. He needed more. Potentially, he would be watching for larger thefts of high-end tech to skim the top, or maybe he would convince Drake to just do it themselves. Find the right business that's selling for shitty reasons and is it really a crime to take what was going to criminals, terrorists or mercenaries anyway?

Jess scoffed. "Like what? A board game? Clubbing? Should we play a rousing round of Scrabble?" her tone was laced with sarcasm as she sipped her orange juice. She was silent for as moment before sighing. "I'm sorry, Jenna. I didn't mean to be rude. I think doing something together would be nice, but I don't think I would be able to enjoy myself." @AnnoDomini

"No I haven't seen under the mask or even seen the mask... I hope we run into her, heroines are alwsways nice to see." Drake said smiling. "Through I never have dated a punk girl before, which is werid. You would think with the power to control shadows you think I could get their numbers but I geuss my personality never fitted their taste." Drake added getting more sided tracked. "Now I kinda want to go clubbing... Why don't we? We can get more of an idea of the streets, make contacts, and connect more as a team" Drake said as it came to mind.

@Sir Les Paul

"You know what?" Marcel replied after hearing Drake's suggestion, "Clubbing sounds great." Something about his tone made his agreement to go clubbing seem a little off. Like there was something more to it. "In fact, I know one of the biggest clubs in Star City: Polaris. I'll need to get changed, obviously. You know where it is, by chance?" Marcel asked after even suggesting which club to go to - which only made the odd nature of his agreement more ominous. Polaris was one of the biggest, fanciest clubs in the city, too. Beautiful women, expensive cocktails, bright flashing lights - it was cutting edge in every way and it was one of the many lights of Star City. From anyone else, the suggestion of going there would be exciting. From Marcel, it was nothing short of confusing.

@ChazGhost

I didn't think he would agree with this idea... Through I only known him for long and he only done a few things... which was breaking a hero and stopping killing a random mugger... weird guy... Drake thought "Real, awesome man... Wait why are we going to Star city to go to a club? Aren't there any good clubs in this city?... Also I never been to star city so no I don't know were Polaris is.... Heard about but never been there" Drake said confused over going to Star city to go to a club.

@Sir Les Paul

"Well, I like to go big or go home," Marcel said, "But... I do know of a decent club in Bludhaven. They call it Violet Tide and its in in the Southwest side of Blue Line." Marcel hadn't considered the fact that they were still in Bludhaven. He was running through crime statistics in his head. Polaris had some of the highest incidents of controlled substances and rape in virtually any city, but Violet Tide wasn't a whole lot better. A bunch of pill poppers and synthetic drug pushers used it as a haven. The only reason Nightwing hadn't busted it yet was the informants there, but it might just be time to cause some chaos. "You know where Blue Line is, yeah? Across Littleneck Narrows Bridge, south of the freeway, then South along the main strip before you hit the beach. If you can call it a beach - this place is so damn cold," Marcel asked, seeing just how well Drake might know the area.

"Now that some where I know were it is and can get to it. I've heard a few things about it during the short time I've been here. Is should be fun, in a few ways." Drake said smirking. A taxi driver told a little about it..."If your looking for fun man go to the Violet Tide, you can find plenty types of "fun" you want there. Every type..." The taxi driver said as he drove Drake to hotel early in the day... "I'll get a taxi and meant you there, I'll be at the bar having some drinks. See ya there once your in normal clothes" Drake said waving before walking to the street and started heading to Violet Tide.

Skylar smiled at Jenna when she mentioned Becky. But his smile kind of dissipated at Jessica's response. "Yeah... You shouldn't be that rude." Skylar raised from his seat, standing in front of Jessica "Jess. Tell me, what the hell happened?" His comm started to buzz, so did Jenna's. "Green, it's Red. Come back to Star. Something happened, you better see this. Does the name Deathstroke tell you something?"

Skylar froze a little. His father told him about Deathstroke. Deathstroke the Terminator. One of the hardest villains his father had to deal with. He glanced at Jenna, then at Jessica. "....Copy that Red, we're coming." Closing his comm, he sighed. "We'll pick this up another time Jess. Something came up. Take care of yourself, and of this city. Tell Becky we said hi." Skylar went and took Jenna's hand in his. "Come on Jen."

@Demonhunter@sitanomoto

Jenna flinches as Jess's uncharacteristic rudness, although what would she expect? People often say things they didn't intent to when angry. That's okay. I- She perks as her communicator buzzes in her jacket pocket. Liam's voice caused her to immediately stand. Putting out fires left and right today. She murmurs jokingly.

She wistles at Sodom who quickly trots to her side, sensing it was time to go. I'll see you later then. I- meep... She hadn't expected Skylar to actually hold her hand. Her cheeks flushed crimson momentarily before she shook the thought from her mind. Comming. She awnsers following Skylar along.

@AnnoDomini

Jess watched as Jenna and Skylar walked out her door. She waved a little and as they closed the door behind them she felt her throat tighten and she bit back a sob. Becky stood in the doorway to the guest room. "You should have told them." She said.

"And let them worry about me and scold me and try to get me back on the streets? No, Becky. It's best that they don't know." Jess replied, wiping the tears from her cheeks.

"that's no reason to be rude to them. They are here to help you, dammit!"

"I know. I don't know what happened..."

"Dick wouldn't want you to act this way."

"How would you  know?

"You think you were the only one who knew him, Jess?"

Jess stared at the ground, tears dripping from her face onto the floor, but other than that she looked completely devoid of emotion.

After a moment of silence she stood and pulled up the hood of her jacket, effectively covering her face. She grabbed the keys in the little glass bowl by the door and pocketed them.

"Jess.... where are you going?" Becky asked, confused.

"Out. There's pizza in the fridge if youre hungry, chips in the pantry. Don't follow me. I'll know if you do. "

With that, Jess left, walking out the door and down the street, hands in her pockets and fingering her wallet.

            Violet Tide

The Violet Tide was one of the premier clubs in Blüdhaven and the activity inside of it reflected that. Outside of the club was not one, not two, but three bouncers checking ID and allowing people in or turning them away. Despite the booming music inside and brilliant lighting inside the building, none of it was heard or seen from the outside - even when the doors were opened for others. In fact, the outside of the club didn't appear nearly as extraordinary as one might expect. Regardless of the drab appearance outside of the club, there were still dozens of people lined up attempting to get inside. People all the way from the North of Blüdhaven, well above the Narrows. The inside of the club was what it was best known for: the brilliant LED displays found everywhere with lounges, a central dance floor and an equalizer display for the music. That was the forefront of the club, though... the real frivolities were found behind the violet curtains and in the red rooms of the club.

 Disguise #1 - NoOne, Johnny Sparxxx

Marcel had a full change of clothing and even a change of face setup for getting into the Violet Tide. He created an entire false identity, Johnny Sparxxx, just to get in. His new identity was as a successful producer in the porn industry always looking for new models; hence the 'xxx' in the end of his name. Well... he thought it was witty. Nevertheless, he had enough credentials to get him and Drake into the club without question. With that established, he contemplating just what they could get accomplished in the club. The owner had connections that kept the police off it, allowed the worst of the worst degenerates to be thrown out and caught by the vigilantes and enough political in the city to allow a known drug distribution and escort service to be completely overlooked. It simply wasn't an easy task. Marcel had done his research. The owner-operator, Anabelle Gordon-Marsh, was so deep rooted in the history of the city that it was difficult to pin down just which family line mattered most.

Anabelle was the granddaughter of Elaine Marsh-Morton, an elite assassin working for Blockbuster in her prime; the daughter of Arielle Marsh, the daughter of Elaine that was put through an eight-year university by her mother; and, the daughter of Henry Gordon, third son of James Gordon, Jr. and a retired lieutenant in the BPD. Arielle, however, had business scandal after business scandal under her belt and didn't seem to go legit until her near-indictment. This is the part of the story Marcel had difficulty believing and it took delving into the streets of Blüdhaven to find it. Arielle faced a solid ten year prison sentence until some of the evidence for her case went missing. Just a year or two after, she went legit and married Henry Gordon. Story on the street is that it was a romantic affair; Henry fell in love with her while holding her in protective custody and convinced her to give up the criminal life... but that story didn't sit well with Marcel.

Relationships didn't work that well.

Nevertheless, Anabelle had the intelligence, resources and connections to have her club running. She knew how the city worked, too. The would-be rapists, murderers, dealers that hadn't the brains or morals to keep away from the kids - they were effectively handed off to Nightwing. That didn't mean ecstasy and pills weren't still in that club. A few cops were given fake ID's and passed by. Official story is they were investigating undercover, the reality is that they were just enjoying the more provocative services provided by the club. With it all, the club made enough profits to kick back a few politicians that kept tax rates low, inspections infrequent and even let them get by with a few building codes. This was the exact type of corruption Marcel hated most.

Marcel had been waiting for Drake for a good ten minutes. No idea what took the kid so long, especially when he was the one excited to go clubbing, but Marcel was still left waiting. In the cold... with all the other things running through his mind, one thing was considerably above the others:

Fuck, Blüdhaven is cold...

@ChazGhost

Drake showed up in front of the club in the same clothes he usually wears, he does try to really hide his identiy. Either way Drake first impresion of the outside of the club was slightly confused. "So this is the big fancy club NoOne talked about... Doesn't look like much but judging by the line and small army gaurding at the door it probly looks better inside." Drake said looking at the building as taxi drove off. Drake then looked down at watch that may or may not have belonged to the taxi driver. "Took longer to then I though to get here... That taxi driver total drove an extra ten mintiues! That bastard... Well I got his wallet atleast... With photos of his hot wife, his driver license,  fifty bucks... And his green card... No wait that just a coupon for KFC. Well at least I can get some fried chicken later."  Drake said himself looking through the taxi driver's wallet. Then as Drake put the wallet in his pocket before he continued to walk. He then walked into Marcel on accident when he took a quick look at the girls in line. "Sorry man, I wasn't looking in front of me. I just got distracted for a second" Drake apologized not knowing it was Marcel.

Drake didn't necessarily "walk into" Marcel as much as Marcel scouted him out and intentionally ran into him. "No, you weren't," he replied, "but, I was, Drake." Marcel had an entirely different voice and tone, so his reply was likely to put Drake on edge. Quick to mend the situation, Marcel added, "I told you, I had to go get changed. I didn't just mean clothing. The name is Johnny Sparxxx, so call me J-Sparx in front of others." Once he began instructing Drake, his tone returned to the normal, significantly more dry one he had become accustomed to with NoOne. While his voice was different, his mannerisms were enough to make him a giveaway for Drake during his new introduction. Marcel pulled out another wallet from his back pocket and slip it to Marcel. Inside it was whole myriad of seemingly uninteresting things and a whole lot more cash than $50, but the more important facet of it was the fake ID made for Drake. "Even you have a new name," Marcel said. It was true. Plastered across his ID read Jerimiah McKinney. "You're now Jeri, unless you have something wittier thought up in the next tne seconds," Marcel told him.

Marcel then stepped back to let Drake inspect his entire outfit. It was definitely in with the trends, the type of outfit Drake had seen in clubs before. "Dig the jacket, Jer'? Lifted it on my way here; apparently, people really pay two grand for shit like this," Marcel asked.

@ChazGhost

"How do you... Oh it's you" Drake said as he figured out it was Marcel. "J-Sparkx? What are you supposed to be a rapper or something?" Drake said after hearing Marcels nickname. Then when he was handed the wallet he put her started looking through it and saw the fake I.D when Marcel Called him Jeri. Drake thought for a moment before Marcel showed off his jacket. "It looks good, not two grand good but hey it suits you or fake identity or what ever. But question do you know how far past the front doors would the main area of the club. because if it's not far I can Just go into my shadow and get past the guards unseen because I'm assuming the reason for the I.D is so they don't know who I am, so if I just shadow past them they don't know who am or that even that I was there." Drake said it thinking over why he needed a fake I.D.

@Sir Les Paul

"Jeri, Jeri, Jeri, you do underestimate me," Marcel told Drake before wrapping his arm around Drake's shoulder. He began to walk him to the line before explaining, "You see, J-Sparx is a big, new producer in the adult film industry and he he uses places like the Violet Tide to recruit new... talent." By the time he finished his explanation, the two were already at the second line meant for bypassing the other. Marcel looked over to the bouncer and flashed a shit-eating grin that Drake had never seen from Marcel - granted, it wasn't exactly like Drake saw Marcel's face often. Marcel slipped out his wallet, flipped it down, leaving the bouncer to read it. Marcel then said, "This is mah man, Jeri, fam. He's mah equipment manager; helps pick out the gals that'll look best on screen." The bouncer gave Drake a discerning look before eventually just nodding. He opened the red gate for the two and motioned them in. Apparently, it was as simple as that.

A moment later and the two were waiting in an antechamber for the elevator that led down to the main floors of the club. "See, Jer'? No need to overcomplicate a simple process," Marcel told him, continuing the act.

@ChazGhost

Drake was speechless when Marcel explained he was pretending to be a producer for adult films looking for new talent. He gets a A for improvisation... but could of picked something less likely for us get slapped for... through that may work for some girls... Drake thought as they got passed the bouncers. "So J-Sparx what are you planning... By that I mean what our we going to do with girls we scout out..." Drake said pausing when he realized there probably is a camera in the elevator. Drake looked around the elevator wondering how far down the elevators went and why would the club would be so far down. "I wonder why would the owner put the club far down enough were you would need a use a elevator? You think the build inspectors would give them hell for lack of a fire escape." Drake asked.

@Sir Les Paul

Drake was catching on. He kept the act going, whether it was for his own enjoyment or knowing that from this point and beyond, they were being monitored. Regardless of why, at least he knew to do it. "I'll be scouting for some real talent. The big game. I doubt we'll find it this first go, but I'm sure I'll find some interesting people we can track down later," Marcel replied. His answer was a little cryptic, but it needed to be. If he was talking about criminals, then it seemed that this entire night was a scouting event. If it actually meant girls, then that was just a surprise in and of itself. The more interesting thought was the big game he was talking about. "Keep a close eye out for anything suspicious, but I think it's best you score a few real numbers, Jer', Plenty of ladies here might just be interested in a chance at stardom," he explained. If his first comment was odd, then this one was alien. It seemed Marcel was telling Drake to really recruit... wanna-be pornstars. Was it? Could that be a thing? From Marcel?

"As for the elevator, fam, the entire club is below ground. Let's all the bass slide by without disturbin' the neighborhood... and hides the entire club from unwanted eyes," Marcel explained, "great for people just like us. That don't want seen."

With that, the elevator came to a halt. When the doors opened, the violet hue of the dancefloor and neon lights above them flooded in. The opening of the elevator put them directly in front of the dancefloor with a series of boothes on one side and an enormous bar on the other. And women... women were everywhere.
