Shirou watched with mounting horror as a couple of beings... talked... in the air in front of him. The impish creatures...

There was no doubt about it. A sensation of power came from both of them, eldritch and incomprehensible. One of them seemed vestigially familiar, in a strange way. Hadn't he seen that costume? The emblem, the yellow belt, it all seemed so...

Wait, isn't that the Batman those books mentioned?!

    No.

Shirou's expression tightened. That is no Batman: it's something else entirely.

It kept leaking power into the air, distorting existence. A constant voltage of universal energy - like a part of reality gained awareness and decided to walk and talk. But on the outside, it looked like a chubby imp dressed like a character from a comic book or cartoon. The other one seemed to operate on similar principles but felt alien to the reality they were in. He couldn't wrap his head around it, and his racing thoughts struggled to understand what he was looking at, let alone listen to what they were talking about.

Before Shirou, or anyone else could react, one of the impish creatures looked at X with excitement. A puff of smoke consumed the heroine...

And from it emerged a familiar figure!

Shirou gawked, making a choked sound, his expression gormless like that of a fish, as Saber - no doubt about it; this was Arturia - manifested from the smoke, as regal as the first time the boy met her.

Soon after, the impish creatures fluttered away and disappeared in a drum. Shirou felt a thrumming in his head like someone was beating on his brain from the inside. An intense mental load of his thoughts racing to catch up, but becoming too tired and slumping halfway across the race track.

Shirou just stared at Saber, mouth slightly ajar, and completely speechless. History liked to repeat itself.

Shirou's mind began to get back on track, his "operating system" rebooting itself. He realized Saber now stood in front of him, and like a machine, an earnest smile graced his features. He regained his faculties just on time to answer Saber's question... which he didn't actually hear because he was too busy smiling and being overwhelmed by joy.

    Smile disappearing, he blinked.

"Um, no?" he hazarded from the tone of the question and the glare that Tohsaka was giving to him.

"Yes, I'm aware." Akira nodded, "Which is why I believe she'll be useful to use in obtaining some possible keywords. Perhaps some of the criminals that frequent the place knows or better yet, had worked with Kingsley..." He explained what he hopes to achieve by befriending Celestia Ludenberg. If they could manage to get some of the criminals to speak up about Kingsley, then all would be swell.

"You sure about this, dude?" Ryuji asked, concerned. "We're talking about actual super villains here--you sure you can handle yourself AND that goth chick?" He asked, showing a bit of distrust towards Celestia considering where she was.

"Trust me, I'll be fine." Akira nodded, hoping to reassure his teammates. "If anything happens, I'll be sure to be back safe and sound."

    Danganronpa_V3_Bonus_Mode_Celestia_Ludenberg_Sprite_(3).png

It was the day of Akira's investigation with his confidant, Celestia Ludenberg.

The Ultimate Gambler stood in their agreed meeting spot, a rundown alley in Harlem, she was far from where she was suppose to be but Celestia liked playing dangerously.

Celestia turned her head to see Akira arriving just in time and dressed in the costume she had provided him.

"Ah, Akira," Celestia smiled at her 'knight' as a welcome, "I see that you appreciate my gift. I do hope you remember to refer to me by my code name, this establishment has set rules that all patrons must abide by."

Celestia then donned a masquerade mask that matched her gothic lolita aesthetic before opening a door into a place where everybody knows your rap sheet. It's the more wretched hive of scum and villainy-- The Bar with No Name!

Celestia walked into the bar as calm as ever in spite of the fact that this was where New Tokyo's worst super criminals lay down their arms and drink together. From the corner of Akira's eye he could see a dartboard with the Phantom Thieves' logo taped to the center and a masked Matador throwing darts at it. Next to that scene was a man covered in black spots playing pool with a green man with tentacles and another man with an 8-Ball for a head, two cyborgs sharing a table together with one consoling the other, over how he should have been called "Goblin-Master" and at a nearby table the infamous Scorpion was arm-wrestling a man in a frog costume to an audience of other animal-themed crooks, soon Scorpion won the contest with ease.

"Do not be intimidated, Akira," Celestia muttered Akira's name under her breath so the other patrons won't hear her, "I have taken the time to rank them all and most if not all are humble C Ranks."

    Beetle (Janice Lincoln).png

"Hey, Jackpot..." called a masked woman, "Who's the new guy?"

Celestia kept her cool facade up as she conversed with one of Spider-Man's infamous adversaries, "Ah, Beetle... I would like you to meet my dear confidant, Joker..."

"Mm, Is he any good at poker like you?" the Beetle asked Celestia.

"He is far from it, but he is serviceable, no?" Celestia answered before walking over to Akira, "Now, Joker please introduce yourself."

Vivian climbed to her feet, grimacing in pain and cursing herself for making such a simple mistake. She performed a quick self analysis, good her systems were quickly repairing the damage caused by the criminal. Looking around at the carnage, she felt herself becoming angry. Such a pointless waste of life, and all for some pointless contest as well.

“I will join in as well,” she said to Spider-man. “There is no telling how long until this conflict kills innocent people.”

  • Okay, he had to admit, that was a new one. It evened their odds, sort of. Pretty much none of Robo's fights had been something that he necessarily had any right winning, so this guy wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary Nazi robot or dinosaur clown car. In the time it took Robo to ponder these things, though, he realized that Big Blue had already sprung into action several different times as this thug kept trying to tear New Gotham apart. Not that he really saw what had happened; Robo had barely picked up on anything with his speed sensors, rattled as they were. It was damn humbling, realizing just how little of a speck you could be next to someone like Superman... on the other hand, it also reminded him of the limitless potential anyone had if they just took the first step.

"Hup! Careful with the merchandise, this one doesn't have kung-fu grip!"

Just like that, they were high up in the air, Robo thankful he hadn't dropped his Webley then and there. That would've made this plan of Supes' pretty awkward. It took Robo only a moment to regain his bearings. It was as if he had never crashed at all, and flying debris and city destruction aside, it was still a beautiful sight to behold. Metropolis City certainly had its perks that helped him decide to base the new Tesladyne there, but this city had its own roguish charm that you just couldn't find anywhere on Mite-World.

    324185-28846-atomic-robo.jpg
"Ismyaimsteady, he said. Yeah, it... it's steady." Nervous laughter aside, Robo was ready to do his part against this diamagnetizing zoo animal. He whipped out his pistol in front of his right eye like he was Ironhide himself, lining up shots at Vortex at a few different angles to make sure that he still had it (he did).

"No complaints from the passenger. What do you want me to do, shoot for the belt?"

"So long as you're firing at him, it should do for a distraction.
As far as aiming for the belt, I can cover that."

Superman waited for Robo take his shots, then he made his move. As Vortex predictably routed his magnetic field in front of him to catch the projectiles, Clark made his move. In one fluid, massively supersonic motion, he flew behind Zebra-Man at a speed faster than his mind could react to, and activated his heat-vision. Two bright-red beams of infrared radiation - pure heat energy - shot from Clark's eyes at the speed of light, burning through the fabric of the belt, cutting it free of the wearer. Clark kept the beams at only a minimal intensity, as to avoid burning Vortex. Unable to keep himself suspended in the air without the aid of his belt, he began to plummet. Reacting with the same speed he'd used to save the building full of people, Superman caught the belt with his free hand, prying open the device's circuitry with surgical precision. In a span of time infinitesimally smaller than the blink of an eye, he used his super-strength and X-ray vision to carefully reassemble the components of the device to work towards a different end: Containing Vortex's powers. Still moving in microseconds, he fastened the belt around Vortex again, tying it around his arms and torso. He caught the captured villain in his free hand, still holding Robo with the other. He descended gradually before touching down on a nearby rooftop, relinquishing his grip on both Robo and the criminal formerly known as Zebra-Man.

"Well, that's that settled. Looks like it's back to the Z-list for you.
Who put you up to this, anyhow, Baker?
Can't say I'm a big fan of your previous work, but it's a lot better than this.
You injured dozens of people. Dozens more are homeless now because of you. A few people are dead.
    And for what?
A destructive rampage like this isn't your usual M.O."

    zebraman04.jpg
"It's Vortex, and nobody put me up to this.
I wanted to do it. It's about time people started taking me seriously.
    What's so funny?!"

"Sorry for smirking. For the record, though, I can hear your heartbeat.
Good to know you're lying about doing this for enjoyment, at least.
I can also tell you're afraid of whoever your employers are.

    tumblr_oqsmi0nuqX1t4rhclo4_400.png
Do the right thing, Jacob. Tell us who's responsible, and you have my word that I'll bring them to justice."
Superman put a hand on Baker's shoulder, and the villain's expression seemed to waver. He wasn't appealing to Zebra-Man or to Vortex. He was appealing to Jacob Baker. The Man of Steel's words were clearly getting through to him. Clark began to lower his guard, and Baker began to speak.

    000.JPG
"This whole rampage thing's only the tip of the iceberg. This was all just meant to take the heat off of a hit that's being pulled in The Narrows on the last guy to even get close to the truth.
You're chasing ghosts, pal. There's not a word I can say to you about these guys that won't get me-"

Baker is cut off. A knife sticks through the back of his neck, the poisoned tip emerging from his throat. Clark is floored. He grits his teeth, fists clenching in anger so tightly that his knuckles turn white. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Shouldn't have let his guard down. He scans the adjacent rooftops for some sign of the killer, using his X-ray vision to search for whoever had just taken the life of Jacob Baker. He found nothing. His mind was full of questions. He took a moment to run a hand over Baker's face and close his eyes, regaining his composure. There was nothing he could do for him, now. Superman couldn't save everyone, but knowing that didn't make it any easier. Clark turned and spoke to Robo, solemness evident in his voice. Even with all his powers, it's evident that he's a man, and that moments like these hurt his soul.

    "Is that so?"

The boy was unsure if Red Wizard had really heard him or was just nodding along. It's a wonder how the mage's survived somehow....perhaps his near unlimited-cast amount and potentially immense knowledge of magecraft contributed to his survival? Either way,he'll have to ensure that the ranged-specialists like Red Wizard and Kota are safe from harm, given that they don't wield any close-quarter combat weapons to fend off the goblins or whatever they may be up against.
"If you ask me, I think this is the work of a demonic entity. Maybe a Cannibelle or a Manguini."

Of course, he got looks of confusion when he said those names.

"Oh, a Cannibelle is a vampiric entity that can shoot beams of paralysis from it's eyes, and resembles a attractive woman. A Manguini is a Humanoid bat creature that hunts for flesh.... But I don't even want to know how those creatures would be here if they were."

He took three vials of holy water out of the infinite space bag on his side pocket, before handing one vial to GS,one to Kota and another to RW.

"It it does happen to be those things, that should be effective against them. You just throw it at the target and watch it melt."

Inspecting the vial throughly, the slayer himself asked.

"Would they still be useful if it were not vampires we are facing? After all, even I'm not to sure of what we may be up against this time around."

"All right!" Famous Pierre rejoiced by giving Minako a high-five as the sinister Nazi Dinosaur died a horrible ironic death, "Now let's go find McKenzie!"

Suddenly from the smoke of the Ironic Death of the Nazi Dinosaur came forth a beacon of hope, <"Master Pierre!"> shouted Pierre's butler, McKenzie, on a what appeared to be an expensive sports car.

"Stop the limo!" Pierre shouted at the Squid driving the Limo, "It's McKenzie!"

McKenzie drove up next to the Limo and chuckled heartily before presenting keys to Pierre, <"Happy Birthday!">

"Oh, McKenzie! You're the best!" Pierre gave McKenzie a heartwarming hug.

"Hey!" Holly ran excitedly to the hot new item that one could only find at Lacey's Department Store in Metropolis City, "A Hot Weiner, Popcorn, Milkshake and Chips maker combo!" Upon taking the most desired item for any teenage slumber party, Holly ran off with glee as the SWAT Team tried catching up to her.

"Don't run, Honey!" The female SWAT Officer called for Holly, "We're here to help you!"

As the two SWAT Officers closed in on Holly they were startled by maddening Australian Chuckling from the distance and the sound of chainsaws.

The Ancient Ninja technique trapped the male SWAT Officer in its deadly dance. The chainsaws tore him apart much to the horror of his squadmate.

Suddenly she spotted what may be the lunatic Aussie nearby and fired wildly at him before shouting, "Cut the shit, Tucker, you fugative!"

However, Tucker was no longer in her sights, the SWAT Officer turned her head to discover Tucker armed with a running lawn mower. The SWAT Officer screamed in terror, "No! Not the face!"

Soon her life was taken as well.

  • Inner ear's cocked to the background murmur.
Overloaded with the criminal buzz of the cluster hive.
I'm inhaling the psyche of the city. The only one paying attention.
The rest are hypnotized. Sleep walking. Enthralled by pre-packed gossip.
    Mesmerized by manufactured dreams.
Ignoring the unspeakable. Denying the unknowable.
From the darkness that dwells within, let the mystery speak.
From the center where its purpose is known, let it guide the will.
From the heart that awakens, let its wishes be told.
That I may seal the door through which evil trespasses forever.

These were but a few of the thoughts swirling through the reporter's busy mind, as he began to settle in for the evening.
He was on the cusp of uncovering a grand conspiracy. He had done as much before, but this felt different.
    This felt... ominous.
He tried to sleep, but could not. His mind was still far too busy.

    Speak to me, Gotham,
In paint chips peeling over bare, schizophrenic lightbulbs.
    Guide me, dark city,
In doomed children suckling industrially processed poisons.
    Steer me, O Gotham,
With ancient sisyphean elevators, wheezing in monoxide despair.
    Direct me, Dear Gotham,
With rattling prison-buses hauling the mad cannibal swarms of Moloch.
    Show me.
    Show me the sign.

A malevolent presence slipped its way into the darkened room of his Gotham City apartment.
    One with eyes hauntingly avian.
Eyes emblematic of the web of secrets he had come to tear down.
The few wisps of moonlight glinted off of the silvery edges of daggers the figure held in either hand.
    "How auspicious," thought Victor Sage.
    Questionfull.jpg
His mask was off. That was to say, his true face was on.
It wasn't a hapless reporter waiting in the darkness to face the shadowy killer.
The Question stood on the opposite side of the room from where Vic Sage's would-be-murderer had made his entrance.
The faceless vigilante had seen this coming. As a matter of fact, he had prepared for it.
    Click.
The Question pressed the central button of a remote he had jury-rigged together from pieces of his room's TV remote and digital alarm clock.
The signal was fed to canisters of a potent sedative, originally concocted by another masked vigilante by the name of Wesley Dodds.
The gas was released into the room as a vapor, quickly filling it from floor to ceiling.
The chemical was strong enough to knock out an elephant, and Sage's faceless mask acted as a filter, rendering him immune.
Unexpectedly, Sage's foe, though slowed, did not stop.
The masked killer charged across the room, slamming Sage into the wall with enough force to send him through it, crashing into the hotel's hallway.
Sage got up, taking up a fighting stance.
    Very well, then.
    Once more into the breach.

Sage and his attacker collided in the hallway.
Sage ducked under a slash from his opponent, countering with a cross to the left side of his opponent's jaw.
It was an attack that would have sent an ordinary foe sprawling to the ground, but the figure in the black hood hardly seemed to react.
A dagger found its way into his side. He did not stagger. He did not flinch.
    Victor's thoughts were still racing.
His mind was too busy to allow him to quit.

Feed me, Gotham, and I will be your instrument.
Let your secrets nourish me, and I will cleanse your streets.
We are fungible, you and I.
    Bound together.
In a quid pro quo, that cuts both ways.

    aHR0cDovL3d3dy5uZXdzYXJhbWEuY29tL2ltYWdlcy9pLzAwMC8yNjAvMTI2L2kwMi9RdWVzdGlvbkRlYXRoc09mVmljU2...jpg
Sage ripped the dagger out of his side, holding it in his hand. Red blood stuck to the fabric of his gloves, still warm.
He turned it towards his opponent, and he entered the fray again.
Silver edges danced in the dim fluorescent light of the hallway.
The yellow carpet beneath the both of them had once been white.
    Soon it would be red.

Let my gross and imperfect matter enjoy your intangible purity.
Together, we will drain the infected pus from your system with a single-minded vengeance
    of Biblical proportions.
    I am your hands, Gotham.
    I am your feet.
    I am your will.
    Executing your instructions
    without prejudice,
    or mercy.

The blades of their knives clashed and locked, but The Question's opponent was strong.
Even sedated, inhumanly strong. Question pushed back. There was something in the way that the figure fought and carried himself.
Something that he recognized. It was like looking in the mirror.
He saw a being that comprehended the truth.
The same truth that Victor was on the cusp of.

    Remarkable.
    I am joined.
    For the first time ever.
    By an awakened other.
    Within the shadow world.
    Where no quarter is given.
    No compassion offered.
    No
    mercy expected.

The Question and his foe were locked in a brutal and merciless battle, going blow for blow with one another.
Sage could feel his shattered ribs shifting within his chest. He pushed on.
He felt the bones in the assassin's jaw give way beneath his knuckles, which were now calloused and worn.
Their personal war had taken them from one end of the corridor to another.
Vic grabbed his opponent, smashing his head through the drywall, before pulling him free by his collar, and dragging him to the elevator.
He hammered his foe with his fists relentlessly, determined to do damage to his seemingly invincible foe.
He could feel the door behind his opponent beginning to buckle beneath the force of his blows.

Here there is only the will.
    This is life.
    At its most basic
    and pure.
    Light and darkness embracing.
    With a homicidal passion.

    The elevator door gave way.
Question grabbed his opponent by the throat, dangling him over the abyss.
    Eternal enigma.
    Wrapped up tight.
    In the unanswerable question.

    He let go.

The pain of Sage's wounds finally caught up with him. He leaned against the hallway wall, slumping to the floor.
He caught himself long enough to peer down into the opened elevator shaft, fishing into the pockets of his overcoat for his flashlight. He cast the golden beam down into the darkness.
There was no body to be found at the bottom. This fight was not yet over, and not one Victor was sure he could win. He got up, grit his teeth beneath his mask, and soldiered on.
Something foul lurked in the shadows of Gotham City.
He would reveal it to the world.
    questio3.jpg
Inner ear's cocked to the murmur and hum.
    Speak to me, Gotham City.

  • Robo was used to shooting at people. He fought the Krauts on over a dozen different occasions, there was Chokaiten, and of course Majestic 12 had never left him a lot of options. It still never felt right, no matter how justified he felt in doing so. After all, this guy had just caused hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars of property damage in just a few minutes with this stunt. He was pretty sure most people in Gotham wouldn't lose sleep if someone like this doofus or any of the regular crazies in town got the electric chair... but that didn't make it right. No doubt Superman could feel the hesitation in Robo's body as he pulled the trigger each time as easily as he felt each particle of wind changing with their movements through the air. He ended up going for the man's torso, just above the belt. He knew that he would catch the bullets in time, but like any other bad guy Robo shot at, there was always that lingering thought about what happened if he actually hit his target.

Just like before, the crisis was over almost as quickly as it had begun. That was the perks of working with Superman, Robo was beginning to realize. He really did move that fast. Robo holstered his Webley, folding his arms as he let Superman do the talking, as much as he wanted to catch up on his banter. His attention wandered to their surroundings, narrowing his eyes as his mind did the same. What did this guy want? He and Superman got an answer soon enough; it wasn't enough for either of them, let alone the one they wanted. It seldom ever was.

Robo unfolded his arms, looking up at Superman with an expression that bordered on incredulity. "You had me at "stopping". Let me make a few calls, see if I can turn up any leads. At the very least, Ada's going to want to know we'll need a new climate jet. Again. For the fourth time this month. After that, we can get to the bottom of this."

"Of course we're going to meet up with Cynthia!" Star answered the Futuristic Spider-Man, "But knowing her she'd probably want to do a dramatic and heroic entrance!"

Suddenly a pair of Knights entered the scene, the two knights were panting and sweating.

"What happened? You guys look like you've seen an angry mob of monsters!" Star asked the two knights.

"It be worse than monsters, Princess! They be Demons! Red Demons!" the horrified knight screamed as she ran over to the group, "Red Demons are attacking the kingdom!"

"It's just carnage! Everywhere!" the other knight cried out as he curled up into a fetal position, "Everything red as far as the eye could see..."

"Yup, that sounds like him," Hekapoo let out a sigh before pulling out her personal pair of dimensional scissors and tore open a portal to the surrounding village of the Butterfly Kingdom, "So who wants to go first?"

"Me!" Star enthusiastically raised her wand and waved it around, "I wanna go first!"

"Uh, Star you sure?" Marco began to sweat nervously, "I mean we don't even have a plan!"

Star grabbed Marco's hand and in spite of his protests jumped into the portal.

    The portal then closed.

Hekapoo opened another portal before turning her head over to the Spider-Themed Heroes and asked, "You guys wanna jump in?"

    THE SURROUNDING VILLAGE
Star and Marco emerged from the portal and landed on the dirt. The pair surveyed the area to see buildings set ablazed and a multitude of bodies scattered about. Both Star and Marco were rendered speechless by the horrific scene but soon their eyes were drawn to a message left by the culprit written on the stone wall that protected the village. The Message was written in blood it read, "Carnage Rules!"

  • Nightcrawler_Vol_4_1_Textless.jpgHopping into the Brimstone dimension, Nightcrawler traversed his way towards the group's location. An emotional sort of fellow, he thought back to the last time he'd seen Professor Xavier before his disappearance as he floated through the pink, featureless void.

The team had just exited a fight with Sauron and saved a young mutant named Toby from his vampiric plot. Kurt had trouble remembering the details, but he recalled the professor giving Toby the same chance he'd given all of his students, all of the team, and all of mutant-kind: the promise of being made whole through being part of something greater.
While it was something that he'd seen happen hundreds of times, he couldn't help being reminded of his first encounter with the mutant leader, as he was given the same opportunity.

Bursting back into the reality he was required in, Kurt landed next to his allies. "Sorry for the lack of assistance, freunde und freundinnen. You seemed to have it handled."

The battle had been a blur. Several blurs, actually. Red, jagged, and gruesome. Gerome had seen many battles in his life, in this one and the one he had come from, even before this estranged kingdom. None of them, not a one, had been like this. He had sat kneeling to the side of the battlefield, thankful that he had not been at the heart of the brawl... though part of him wished that he had. Perhaps then he wouldn't have so many regrets, and so many pains. He That had been his last vulnerary... He had eventually removed his face, for fear of it becoming too stained from the battle. Battle... that was no battle. That was slaughter.

He couldn't remember how long he had been sitting here. Probably too long, but he dare not move, for fear of that... thing showing itself again, for one last trick. That, and he wasn't sure he could stomach standing. He almost didn't look up when he heard Star, Marco and the others approach. He never thought someone would happen across this so soon, let alone ever again. Who in their right mind would come to a place like this, after what had happened? Startled back to his senses, Gerome reached down, swiping his mask off of the ground, dusting itself as best he could in a quick motion before re-applying it to his grimy face. He was far from presentable... but it would do.

Gerome grunted, in clear pain as he struggled to come to his own too feet. He hobbled at first, then steadied himself, cursing under his breath. Just what in the hell were they up against? He recognized the princess among these strangers, but he made no sign of showing it. He had other worries on his mind. He took a few steps forward, his axe hand keeping his weapon low to the ground as he pointed to the peculiarly dressed group with his free hand. His armor, though certainly wearied (and nearly broken in some parts), had kept its integrity, even against that onslaught. He was nothing if not stubborn. "Star Butterfly... do you, nggh, know what was responsible for this? Where is Robin? Where is..."

He sighed, stopping himself and raised a hand to help support him against the wall of a nearby building. The people she was with... they looked a little similar to it... what did it all mean? He gestured at the people behind her and Marco, not bothering to hide his suspicion. "Who are these... people?"

"Oh, looks like, me and the kid are next!" Yang stated as she and the young fanus girl took their turn to get the ice cream of their choice.

"Wow, look at all of that Ice Cream," Yang scanned the displayed Ice Cream with delight on her face, "If only my lil' Sis was here to see all of this."

Homer groaned out of impatience only for his gaze to turn over to a conveniently vacant line. The Patriarch of the Simpsons made a mad dash for the register.

Behind the register was an oddly familiar looking teenager, "Hello, Sir... Do you have any flavors picked out yet or..." the squeaky-voiced teen mumbled only to notice Homer frozen in place, "Uh, sir? What flavors do you want? there are other customers..."

'Come on, Homer... Think of your family!' Homer's battle with his own gluttony raged on in his mind.

Later, Homer finally made his order.

The list of flavors is huge, and then Kanna got amazed by what the fat yellow man had ordered. Its a load of diabetes in a boat! Kanna looked back at the menu, thinking of what she should get. It took her some time until she points out her order....and she got it.

While Yang and Kanna enjoyed their Ice Cream, Homer Simpson gorged on his sundae only for his delightful session with his meal interrupted by not an Italian Stereotype but someone far worse...

    "Homie... Where's our ice cream..."

"Oh," Homer looked up to see his wife's scowl... Homer sheepishly offered Marge some money, "Could you buy, Marge?"

Marge could only sigh and accept the money, "Well, it can't be helped, I suppose."

Kanna did mind what the poor fat yellow man got into. He had forgotten to buy ice cream for his family and ended up to himself. Poor guy, his gluttony cannot control. Kanna enjoys the ice cream, the flavor of which she is very familiar of but very obscure to the human tongue. "Um...Yang..." She says "What's it like to be a hunter?"

"... Makes a shock of a first impression alright," Miguel only said grimly as he gazed upon the morbid message written in blood on the stone wall, stepping sternly in front of Star and Marco, having followed the reckless kids into the portal, "Stay close. If Carnage really decided to show his ugly face here, he and his underlings could be anywhere, right around the corner even," he went on.

Indeed, only a symbiote could be capable of such a travesty, remembering his own run-ins with his own Venom, but the sentiment was doubly so with an already unstable mind. Tyler Stone might have been a shock of an evil bastard, but Miguel had to imagine Cletus Kassidy was worse in his own time, so he had to keep wary at all costs.

Now that they were thrust into the heat of it all, it seemed that Miguel's words of warning were more pressing than before; too late for the kids to turn back now. But even if they made that choice on their own -- even if it was because this was their home -- Miguel couldn't help but feel responsible for them. He had never been good with kids -- the mere thought of settling down with children seemed repugnant to him -- but now he had quite a few on his hands here, and he knew that it might have been a bit overly presumptuous of him to feel this way, but with a sadistic monster on the loose here, who could blame him?

Guess that was all the more motivation to make sure he was at his A-game.

Before long, he took notice of a peculiar man who stood out from the rest of the castle guards, approaching them, looking rather worn out, and if he had run into Carnage's underlings, Miguel imagined it was with good cause. The hero's intuition seemed to ring true as the man asked for Robin, indicating that like Cynthia, he seemed to be a bit of a mutual ally. Stepping forward, Miguel elected to answer the question aimed toward him for himself.

"Spider-Man's the name, putting bad guys down is the game. S-Man is also acceptable if you'd prefer," Miguel introduced himself, before beginning to approach the man, as if to help him if need be, "To answer your other question, I'd wager that the one behind this is... someone from roughly our neck of the woods. He's called Carnage, and unfortunately, he does everything he can to live up to that name. But more importantly, are you alright, mister...?"

  • Agent 3 slams on the breaks as Pierre orders her too, which brings the vehicle to a loud, screeching stop. She releases a breath she hadn't realized she was holding, and stops the engine. She steps out of the car, stretches, and yawns, "I'm going to find somewhere to sleep," before beginning to wander off like nothing had happened even a few moments ago.

Marie, unlike Agent 3, was a bit more enthusiastic. "McKenzie!" she shouted in glee with Pierre, "Glad to see you're still here. Any news on the nazis, or are we good after the giant dinosaur came crashing down?"

Clark floated down to street-level. Robo was still in ear-shot of his super hearing, as was, well, everything. Still, even for his supercharged Kryptonian brain, it was a lot to sift through. He'd learned to tune in to specific sounds, in order to better comb through the rest of the noise and detect where his help was needed. Part of Clark's job involved determining the nature of accidents based on the minutiae in the sound they made. Given a sound, he could tell the difference between the planned demolition of a building or an unintended collapse. It took lots of time and practice. Compared to that, listening out to tell when his new friend had finished his phone call was comparatively easy.

He moved the debris out of the streets. With a single mighty breath, he froze the spouts of water from uprooted hydrants, and put out the blazes building beneath the hoods of flaming cars. He welded shut the sparking ends of snapped power-lines with his heat vision. He took the time to let people take his picture. He even posed with them. But it wasn't for the recognition. All around him stood people who had lost their homes, but here they were, smiling and thanking him for his help. It was humbling. It reminded him that the S on his chest was more than just a letter.
    It stood for Hope.
And moments like these -- moments that affirmed to him the virtues of humanity, meant everything to Clark.
He waited until the line of sleepy-eyed children who'd been woken from their beds by a villain's chaotic rampage had each finished tracing the outline of the S on his costume and running their hands along the folds of his cape. He watched the way each of their faces lit up. His did, too. After they wrapped up, they waved goodbye, and so did he. Clark drifted upwards, back onto the rooftop, standing in front of Robo once again. He wished he could have stayed for longer, but there were still lives to save. He also wanted to see what Robo was able to find. Although he could hear that his conversation over the phone had ended, he had made sure not to tune in to what Robo and the person on the other end of the line were actually saying. Super hearing or not, Clark made it a habit not to eavesdrop. He understood the value of privacy. He had his own Fortress of Solitude, after all.

Emerging from the other side of the arena were 4 men, clad in different armors ranging from grey to green to brown. Two of them appeared to be familiar to her, particularly the one in green and the one with blue-ish grey hair; Russel Thrush and Sky Lark respectively, both of which whom she had fought during the Vytal Festival. An individual clad in an iron armor bearing a crest of a golden phoenix walked in front of the Team, Cardin Winchester, bearing brown hair combed back and an iron mace with a gem on the tip of the pole where the mace is attached, along with an oh so familiar revolver barrel right below it. Looks like someone's been taking notes on how to design a better weapon. In fact, it appears that everyone in Team CRDL had a subtle but significant change in their arsenal, the second years can vouch that. Penny, however, didn't know this and assumed that Sky and Russel would've had the same arsenal.

"Man, it's been a month and I still can't believe what I'm seeing here." Cardin sighed, setting his sights at Penny's seemingly similar appearance since the Vytal Festival. She died, yes, we all know that. She was cut to pieces during the finals with the very thin strings of her own weapons by Beacon's Ace, Pyrrha Nikos. "You were s'posed to be a ghost, yet here you are. Walking like nothing happened." He remarked, soon chuckling and cracking a grin as he glared her down. "Whatever, at least me and the boys can finally get our payback." He said, glancing at Russel then turning to Sky. "Ain't that right, Russel? Sky?"

"Correct." Sky nodded, readying his orange blade, which appeared to be bronze. At least, something that appears to be bronze.

"Yeah! This one's payback for beating us a year ago!" Russel declared, raising one of his daggers.

"My, my, Sirs! I can tell that you all have grown since the last time we've seen each other!" Penny's eyes glimmered in awe as she observed the change in the once somewhat amateur Huntsmen Team. She could tell from their appearances that they've been really trying their best to improve themselves ever since. The current second years can vouch for that, including Team RNJR, who was still missing it's leader...Speaking of which, where is Ruby? She's severely late if this was her first class. "I can dare say that we would have a most splendid match here today!" She complimented the team, pumping both her fists in excitement, raring to go. She soon settled down as her back opened up, several swords emerging and are now swirling around Penny as she took out a small box with a disk up front and a crank similar to Sento's Build Driver on one hand and a red and blue rectangular bottle divided vertically. "Now then, won't you test this out with me?" She'd ask, shaking the bi colored bottle, soon pressing its' supposed cap, causing the bottle to be split in between, revealing it to be two somewhat drives stuck together by a hinge. She then placed the drives onto the square driver, causing a belt to appear on her waist. The belt appeared be that of a yellow strap, with two empty cylinder tanks with buttons on the top in the center which stem from a silver clip right beside it. Penny then placed the Build Lite Driver onto the clip, her eyes then changing hues into a bichromal shade of red and blue, alternating in domninant colors yet gradient in between two.

    RABBIT and TANK! IT'S JUST A MATCH!desu

The disc glowed as sounds of steam hissing, gears clicking and clanging can be heard emanating from Penny herself.

It was around this time that rose petals flew into room. The Headmistress knew who it was, severely late to her class.Just as she was about to call out the late person, a starry eyed Sento with an erect lock of hair had casually wrapped his arm around Glynda's shoulder and like a child, directed her attention back at the ensuing fight.

"Come on, you're gonna miss the exciting part!" Sento said in a near squal voice, clearly excited to see his work come into fruition. "She's finally gonna do the thing!"

'...I think I'm going to have to dock this guy's pay this week.' Glynda thought as she reluctantly turned away from the late student to watch the fight that Sento had desperately requested.

Meanwhile, an oh so familiar student that bears the silver eyes had seated beside Velvet, innocently looking at what's about to go down before leaning over to Velvet. "Um...What's going on? I thought we're having a team sparring session today?" Ruby asked, whispering to Velvet.

The Beetle squinted her eyes at Akira, "You can quit the act, Joker... I'm a career criminal and a professional one at that! So I expect some genuine respect!"

Thankfully for Akira, Celestia was there to save him, "I do apologise, Beetle. But my dear knight, Joker, was indeed showing you respect and did not mean to offend you."

"Yeah..." Beetle crossed her arms and kept her piercing gaze locked on Akira.

"Hey, Beet-off!" called out a well-endowed blonde in a pink sailor school uniform.

Beetle groaned out of annoyance for the young woman's nickname for her.

Celestia eyed the newcomer before asking the Insect-themed villainess, "Is she an acquaintance of yours, Beetle?"

"Well, yeah... Jackpot, Joker," Beetle gestured over to the buxom blonde, "Allow me to introduce you to a promising young woman in the world of organized crime, the Tinkerer."

"Tinkerer?" the young woman muttered before loudly laughing, "What kinda dumbass name is that?!"

"It's your codename," a very annoyed Beetle said through gritted teeth.

"Lame! There's no way a gorgeous girl genius like myself would go around calling herself something fuckin' stupid like 'The Tinkerer'!" the girl yelled at Beetle before puffing up her chest and declared, "Besides, why the fuck would I need a codename! When I'm the gorgeous girl genius whose good looks and golden brain will go down in history! I'm the one, the only, the legendary Ultimate Inventor herself - Miu Iruma!"
    Miu Iruma.jpg

Beetle buried her face in the palm of her hand and mumbled out, "You're worse than Fred..."

Celestia then began to ponder if the Beetle's own apprentice had attended Hope's Peak Academy herself. The Ultimate Gambler found it rather odd that she had not heard of the Ultimate Inventor during her time at Hope's Peak and assumed that she was simply overshadowed by the other Ultimates in the school.

The Beetle cut in between the two teenagers and snapped at Miu, "Listen here! I was the one who busted you out of Juvie and actually saw your talent being wasted there! Talent that could be put to use when you join the Sinister Six!"

Miu laughed at the Beetle, "Seriously?! You really think just because you got me out of Juvie that means I'm gonna join your little gang of virgins!"

"That's it, you ☠☠☠☠!" Beetle grabbed Miu by her collar.

Miu looked less appalled and more aroused by Beetle's backhanded comment, "Finally! Someone called me a--"

Suddenly before Miu could continue any further a red blur zipped in and suddenly it was revealed to be the villainous speedster and all around coward, Speed Demon.
    Speed Demon.png
"Beetle! Let's not start a fight here before poker!" Speed Demon urged his fellow super criminal to ease up on the perverted teenager.

"Fine," and with that the Beetle promptly released her grip and dropped Miu flat on her rear. Beetle crossed her arms and glared at Miu, who trembled with fear at the Beetle's rage.

"P-Please, don't be mad at me," Miu begged as she backed away from Beetle.

Beetle dusted her hands before returning her attention to Celestia and Akira, "Anyways, you guys up for poker?"

Celestia smiled at the offer and readily accepted it with a small nod and a one word answer, "Always."

Spider-Man fired a web-line into a nearby ventilation shaft and said, "Way ahead of you, Wolvie."

Spidey turned his head to Viv and told the synthoid, "Viv, let's do this stealthily," before zipping into the ventilation shaft.

Some time later, Spider-Man had reached V.I.L.E's stash of stolen goods which was guarded by two V.I.L.E. operatives, Le Chevre and a Mime.

There's the stash and... Is that a Mime?

"Mime Bomb, what do you think about that new guy," Le Chevre asked his fellow V.I.L.E. operative while keeping his eyes on the entrance.

Mime Bomb placed his hand over his chin to think on who Le Chevre was referring to before shrugging.

"You know that Russian guy," Le Chevre sighed before turning his head to where Mime Bomb was stationed only to discover that he was gone, "Mime Bomb!?"

Just as Le Chevre wildly searched the room for the Silent Thief, he was snatched up by a web and stuck against a wall with his mouth webbed shut.

The culprit was Spider-Man, who held his finger against his mouth to shush Le Chevre before landing on the floor.

"Now, where's DR-1125..." Spider-Man muttered to himself as he began his search of the room for the illusive Symbiote.

In Spider-Man's search, he found a gold championship belt with the letters "A-E-W" embossed on the middle and a bottle of champagne but not the Symbiote.

If V.I.L.E. doesn't have it please let it be with the Thieves Guild...

Suddenly the Wall-Crawler received a call from a woman he hasn't spoken to in a long time.

"Spider-Man," called the voice of a European Woman.

"Silver Sable!? Uh, I'm kinda busy right now, you know?" Spider-Man answered Silver Sable's call, "Searching through a stash for a very dangerous package."

"I assume you are referring to DR-1125."

    "Uh, how did you--"

"You are not the only one that the Future Foundation had entrusted to recover the symbiote," Sable interrupted Spider-Man.

"Okay, so I'm also gonna guess that you're at the Thieves Guild's stash, right?" Spidey asked Sable while continuing his search.

"Yes, I must give my thanks to your feline companion for helping me find the Thieves Guild's New Tokyo Headquarters."

"Uh, 'Cat?" Spider-Man was stunned by the revelation, "She gave you info?"

    "She led the way."

"Wait," Spider-Man paused in his search as his mind began to process all the information Silver Sable gave him, "She's with you?"

"Hey, Spider..." greeted the ever familiar voice of Felicia Hardy, "Don't get jealous. Sable's cute and all but she's a bit too much of a stiff for me."

"I-I wasn't talking about that... But good for you actually not stealing anything for a change," Spider-Man stumbled over his words.

"Well, there's no way I could say no when I found out what's at stake for her," Black Cat explained to her ex-.

"You are aware of the conflict in Novokaria, correct?" Silver Sable interjected herself back into the conversation.

"The Civil War, right?" Spider-Man asked Sable.

"Yes, the Novoselic forces burnt nearly all of Symkaria's history to ashes and what was left was taken... by the Thieves Guild," Sable explained her motivations to Spidey, "I originally came here to recover the stolen art until I came to Future Foundation."

"And then they told you about the stolen Symbiote..." Spider-Man guessed before asking Silver Sable, "Please tell me found it there..."

"I am sorry, I could not find the Symbiote here."

Spider-Man froze in his place as he mind began to despair for the worst possible situation and soon the Webslinger ended the call with Silver Sable and called up Nightcrawler.

"Kurt, I-I got to go... something... Something came up," Spider-Man regretfully informed Nightcrawler.
