The Frye twins had come to London a bit of a whim. The city was overrun by Templars, and every borough was under their influence in some fashion. It was troubling to think of how England's capital was under Templar control. Neither Jacob or Evie agreed with the Brotherhood's decision not to go help what few assassins remained in London. The Council deemed the Templars there too powerful, and forbade the others in the Brotherhood from helping. Jacob thought it was a poor choice. Shouldn't they want to take the city back and weaken the Templar's power in England even further?

Jacob was glad Evie agreed with him on that, even though she disagreed with him on how they were to go about it. The twins had vastly different approaches. Jacob was never one to wait around. He loved action, excitement, and he had no problem taking the fight straight to the Templars. He had never been one for being cautious. Evie on the other hand was much more careful than her younger twin. She wanted to look for the Piece of Eden first, to keep the powerful object out of their hands. If they Templars got their hands on it, then they'd become an even greater challenge to defeat.

The two could agree on at least one thing; they did need to start weakening the Templars' influence in the boroughs. It certainly wouldn't be an easy feat, but Jacob loved a good challenge.

The two made their way toward Henry Green's curio shop, located in Whitechapel. Jacob looked quite relaxed as the carriage rolled through the streets of London, while Evie glanced around every so often to make sure they weren't being followed or that were were no suspicious figures about. The last thing they needed was the Templars finding out where Henry's shop was. As far as they knew, Henry was their number one source of information about Starrick and the Templars in the city. Still, Jacob was fairly confident they could handle any trouble if it came knocking.

Soon they reached the shop, and Jacob jumped down from the carriage. Pushing the shop's door open, the two entered. "Oh Greenie," Jacob called out, his gaze sweeping around the room as he looked for the other man. The shelves were loaded with all sorts of antiques and trinkets. Evie stepped forward to briefly inspect a few with great interest, while Jacob didn't pay them much mind. He had never been too interesting in antiques and the like. Evie meanwhile had always been far more studious than her brother. It was almost comical how different the two twins could be from one another, yet they also had their fair share of similarities.

The tavern was a lively place today. People from many different places and lives would come here to drink and chatter away with friends. The occasional fight would break out among the patrons, but today there had been so such fight yet. Much to Charlotte's relief. The dark-haired woman carefully picked her way among the cluster of tables, letting out the occasional chuckle when she caught a drunken conversations here or there.

The things one could often hear in a tavern could be quite interesting. Alcohol had a way of loosening people's lips, and some customers had told Charlotte things she was sure they hadn't told others. Not only that, she often noticed who was new to the city and there was never a shortage of rumors being told to her. Because of that, she found herself learning things that she probably shouldn't have.

It was shortly after starting her work in the tavern that Charlotte found herself working with the Assassin Order. She didn't know many details about the organizations inner workings, but she knew they were at odds with the Templars, another secretive organization. She supplied the assassins with what information she'd manage to gather about Templars in Spanish Town or their allies.

As she went around serving a few drinks and taking up dirty and empty cups, Charlotte glanced around at the patrons currently in the tavern. Several she recognized, while there was still a fair number she didn't. Setting down a drink in front a patron who was already getting a bit tipsy, Charlotte made her way back to the bar to the put the dirty cups in a wash basin. Behind her she could hear raucous laughter from a table somewhere to her right-hand side. She didn't need to look to see which group it was. The small group of men at that table had been hitting the bottle rather hard today.

Sometimes the loud, overly intoxicated patrons could be too much for Charlotte. And at times, she came across a drunk that reminded her painfully of her father. Despite it all though, Charlotte was grateful to have some source of income. She had no intentions of going back home. If she could even call it home. Living with Thomas had never really felt like where she belonged, and she was happier having left even though it certainly wasn't always easy for a woman living alone in this area.
