Bernard Bolin (Bernard Boll-in) is one of the head executive members of the Hero Association, along with Bishop and Cashmere, and the only one who makes any physical appearances. He is the equivalent of a CEO or President of a large corporation. He almost always makes his physical meetings with important figures, such as the patrons that started the Association or the top members of Class A heroes.
Appearance
Bernard is a very young adult, likely the youngest in such a high position. He has a youthful look, icy blue eyes, dark brown hair that reveals the dirty blonde scattered in it when exposed to sunlight, and eyes that while hold a serious look to them, look exhausted. Bernard is without a doubt capable of being a cunning man and is commonly mistaken as being very Machiavellian. While he does what is needed and will fight to get to the top of whatever job he holds, he is not scheming or unscrupulous. He is ambitious and is willing to go places others will not to get what he needs. He makes hard decisions quite easy and isn't afraid to press the button is the end helps the majority over the minority. He is always in a serious mood and tired. Truth is, he's always working and one of the hardest workers of the Association in terms of desk work. He has a powerful torrent of a work ethic and will more than willing to get dirty if the job requires.
Bernard is very young to hold the position in office that he does, but he was picked specifically during his University career because of the skills he held. He is a vicious debater and capable of forming powerful rhetoric on the spot and talking his way out of difficult situations. He's very intelligent and well versed on economics, business management, and political savvy. He was always on the stage at school making arguments against popular views, commonly when he held such views because he wanted to simply prove the other side wrong. He was the lawyer for the Devil on campus and when he wasn't doing study or debating or research of any kind related to school, he was commonly reading books on multiple issues and may different views and opinions as well as simple textbooks. This is the primary reason why he is so knowledgeable. He is ruthless and cunning when it calls for it and has put even the primordial members that funded the Association to silence.
A common quirk with Bernard is that he always seems to be drinking coffee or tea and taking in large amounts of caffeine, which could be used to assume he has a caffeine addiction.
History
Originally a student at a University, Bernard was a triple major in Business Administration, Political Science, and Public Communications focusing heavy on philosophy, communication, writing, and business. These were the foundations used to shape him into what he was. As a child, he was a loner who spent all his time reading. He found the concept of friendship to be a burden and never perused it until his later years before going into University. It was there that he got a job as a writer for the paper and eventually as an editor on social and political events. He used this to get information and shine light on the unknown, asking tough questions. Eventually the Hero Association was in the works and when one of them was interviewed by Bernard and took a liking to him, they did further research on him and learned of his history. They saw the skills he had and the ones he was building as important tools. His ability to sway minds on stage, even with the most outlandish opinion was a rarity, and showed how he worked mentally. They voted to interview him and eventually was one of the head executives which he quickly took the lead role in and became the prime speaker of all the issues. The others working mostly in the shadows.
During the annual Hero Festival, Bernard held a meeting to discuss important issues in regards to the organizations security, the money funnel. and the rise of Mysterious Beings. He noted himself being late due to an important call with Bishop -one of the three executive heads - in regards to a suspicious location discovered by one of the heroes. The room they met in was later infiltrated by Samuke and later the entire floor blown away by an explosion by Jikoku, though the damage turned out to be worse than predicted and the tower began to collapse under its own weight from the inside.
