NAME:
LUCREZIA

SPECIES:
Elven - Unknown Origin

AGE:
???

AETHERIAN/EARTH FORMS:
FAFAFAF.png

PERSONAL HISTORY:
The reign of the self proclaimed "Shadow Queen" has defined the last century of Aether's History. Rising from the fortress of Blackrock to the far West, Lucrezia's powerful dark magic and seductive charisma saw her influence quickly spread over the lands. Her army ever growing as more and more flocked to her side as she enjoyed a string of victories against the various city-states and tribes that attempted to stand against her. Rallying the races of the damned, Werewolves, orcs and dark elves quickly joined her - eager to fight back against the oppression of the other races.

Lucrezia declared war against Aether, seeking to claim the entire land for herself and into her realm of shadow. Mighty individuals served under her command and led her armies against men, elf and Dwarf - and for many years it seemed her victory was all but inevitable.

But hope never truly died. A hero rose to save the world - wielding a holy blade of light. Roland Fairchild defeated her forces in the east. It was not long after that the remaining freefolk of Aether who stood against the Shadow Queen came together under a single banner - The Church of Light.

And now, the Hero/Heroine has gathered their forces and advanced on Lucrezia's ancient fortress of Blackrock, laying a terrible siege to her final stronghold.

Despite everyone in Aether knowing and fearing her name, very few however know of Lucrezia's Past.

PERSONALITY:

Prideful and stubborn, Lucrezia is extremely intelligent, calculating and patient while always remaining unwavering in her belief that it is her destiny to rule over all things. A natural leader with charisma to spare, Lucrezia believes that the weak and foolish must be ruled, in order to have society avoid what she feels is an inevitable road to self-destruction. Her monarchy is one of brutal discipline and fear. She rules with an Iron-Fist; and the price for failing to meet her high expectations can be great indeed. In spite of her prideful nature however, she is pragmatic and determined - willing to make any number of personal sacrifices to achieve her goals; even at the cost of her own life. In spite of her behavior and feared role as a Dark Queen, Lucrezia is not in fact heartless - She cares greatly for her closest subordinates, and is surprisingly protective of them in her own strange way; and is capable of showing a caring and approachable side to her nature. Overall, Lucrezia is very much respected by those who are willing to live under her regime.

Queen Lucrezia is a highly studious individual, who spends what little spare time she has either reading or studying the Arcane. The Library of Blackrock is one of the greatest in Aether - and has swollen considerably during her conquests. She guards her knowledge jealously however, and only shares her considerable wealth of information with those who prove themselves worthy. Many of her servants vie for the opportunity to be invited to her Library - as such a thing is a sure sign of favor. Her obsession with Dark Magic has left her with a somewhat twisted morality, that Lucrezia occasionally permits herself to wallow in. Many favor suicide over the thought of being taken to the dungeons of Blackrock.

Despite her charisma and talent for leadership, Lucrezia is at heart a rather quiet and contemplative individual who can become agitated if she doesn't have time to enjoy some quiet now and again.

ABILITIES:
One of the most powerful Dark Mages who has ever appeared in Aether, Lucrezia is a master of the Dark Arts. Her experiments with dark magic have left her unnaturally strong and have made her functionally immortal - it is quite likely she'll live forever, baring any accidents. Lucrezia is especially fond of shape-shifting - she is capable of turning her body into a dark, shadowy liquid that can take on many different forms. This shadow form also allows her to travel at ease through solid stone, as well as quickly transport around.

Tier I - Hypnotic Glare: Lucrezia has always been a master of seduction, and this power has endured into her Earth Form. At great effort, she is able to cast a human to do her bidding for a short spell. The more demanding the request, the harder it is to maintain.
Tier II - ???
Tier III - ???

Aetherian Name: Arryn Blacksmith

Age: 26

Earth Name: Arryn Bennett

Species: Human

Aetherian Appearance:
1525098931888.png

About 7', 230 Ibs.

Earth Appearance:
1525098967654.png
About 5'10", 160 lbs.

History: Arryn was born to parents he never knew in the capital city of Alcamoth and spent the first part of his life either in and out of orphanages or on the streets stealing what he needed to survive. At about age 10, he tried to steal from an aging dwarven blacksmith in a richer part of town named Hogan; unfortunately for Arryn, Hogan caught him in the act. Instead of turning him into the authorities, however, Hogan surprised Arryn by essentially forcing him to become the dwarf's apprentice. Hogan was old and many of the ancient arts of dwarven smithing would die with him when he went. He was desperate to pass on his knowledge and, upon seeing Arryn, considered him the perfect candidate because of the boy's immense size and strength. Arryn had always been very large for his age. Despite his gentle demeanor and distaste for conflict, his size tended to intimidate others even as a child, but Hogan was elated rather than scared to find him so big and strong at such a young age. Seeing little choice other than being given over to the guards, Arryn accepted Hogan's offer and was from then on known as Arryn Blacksmith.

Besides being his teacher and master in the smithing trade, Hogan became the father that Arryn never had. For the first time in his life, he had not only a bed of his own to sleep in and three guaranteed meals a day, but a man who came to love and support him as a son as well as an apprentice. For 10 years, Arryn learned the ins and outs of working metal and spent his days in the forge. Dwarves on Aether were known for their talents as smiths and craftsmen, and even among those, Hogan was considered a master without peer. Owing to the old dwarf's tutelage, by the time Arryn was 20, he knew more about the art than most other human smiths over twice his age. Unknown to other dwarves at the time, Hogan also managed to pass on knowledge about making weapons that previously was known only to dwarves, secrets guarded by the species with the utmost vehemency.

Everything changed when the city of Alcamoth fell victim to an unexpected assault by the Shadow Queen Lucrezia and her armies of darkness in Arryn's 20th year. He had heard of battles and skirmishes fought leagues from the capital, but never before had he or anyone else imagined she had the power and gumption to assault Alcamoth, the home of the Church of Light itself. In the midst of the assault, Hogan's forge was burnt to the ground and, in giving his apprentice a chance to escape the Shadow Queen's army and live, Hogan himself sacrificed his life. The assault on the city was eventually beaten back, but Arryn's life was left in ruins.

Arryn was not a vengeful man by nature, but the Shadow Queen and her armies took everything from him in a single horrific night. The forge he was to inherit was gone and the man he loved as a father dead so that he could live. Seeing little else he could do, he petitioned to join the forces of light led by the Hero. He initially intended only to be an armorer and a smith rather than a fighter. He spent his days in the castle forge from before dawn to after dusk supplying the armies of light with the best weapons and armor it was possible for human hands to create. If Arryn had a mind, such high quality work could have made him a fortune, but wealth and fame were the furthest things from Arryn's mind. He desired only that the forces of the Hero prevail against the Shadow Queen so that Hogan could have justice and Aether could have peace.

Two years later, the Hero was engaging in a diplomatic mission to negotiate an alliance with the elves of Merluminal Forest against the forces of the dark. Arryn was a member of the party that traveled with him. It was hoped that making gifts of Arryn's finest creations would be Alcamoth and the Church's way of honoring the birth of the alliance that would stand and fight against Lucrezia. While en route, however, the party was set upon by the Shadow Queen's forces. She caught wind of the Hero's intentions and sent her forces both to kill him/her and put an end to Alcamoth's hopes for an alliance that could potentially grow to threaten her dominion. The mission was supposed to be secret and so the party was small and inadequately armed for such a large-scale battle. They were vastly outnumbered and overpowered and it was only in this most desperate hour that Arryn was forced to use his hammer to fight for his life. Despite the grim outlook, the soldiers of light were said to fight with a ferocity like none had ever seen. For every casualty they suffered, the forces of the dark suffered ten. For nearly a day they held out when they should not have lasted an hour. The forces of the dark won that battle, killing all the hero's forces almost to the man, but it was at a grievously heavy cost to them and the hero himself escaped the bloody carnage. The deeds of the men who fought and died this day so their hero could strike the alliance that would eventually save their continent was forever immortalized in the song, “The March to the Forest of the Elves,” a favorite request to bards and troubadours in every castle, hall, and tavern across Aether. Arryn himself remembers little of this battle, frenzied and chaotic as it was. He had never trained as a fighter, but his rage was said by the hero himself to be like an unstoppable force of nature all its own. When the hero was ambushed and surrounded by soldiers of the dark, his death all but assured, it was Arryn, the unlikely blacksmith, untrained and undisciplined, armed only with his rage and his grief and his smithing hammer, who smashed his way through enemy lines to win him free. Against all odds, Arryn managed to escape with the Hero, several of the Hero's companions, and his own life. Together, the small group hid from the dark army's patrols and slowly made their way to Merluminal Forest with nothing but the weapons in their hands and the clothes on their backs.

After this, Arryn wanted nothing more than to return to his forge and continue his work as a smith for the armies of light, but it was not to be. Seeing his prowess in battle and the strength of his heart, the Hero would not allow anything less than for Arryn to train as a soldier and fight as one of his closest companions from that day forward, despite the blacksmith's low birth and lack of magical abilities. He still made weapons and armor when he was able, but the bulk of his time was now spent either in military training or fighting in battles at the Hero's side, slowly honing his strength, fighting style, and his capacity as a tactical adviser and military leader serving directly under the Hero. The alliance between the Church of Alcamoth and the elves of Merluminal Forest gradually grew in size as other nations and species signed on one by one.

When the Dwarves joined the alliance about a year later, Arryn had access for the first time since Hogan's death to the greatest smiths in Aether. He traded knowledge with them, telling them much about Hogan's techniques that the old dwarf had kept to himself over the years and in return learning secrets of dwarven smithing from them that not even Hogan had shared. Working together, Arryn and the dwarves accidentally stumbled on a secret long thought lost to the world for centuries: the art of forging magical sacred weapons such as the sword wielded by the hero from ancient times. They learned that by working a special resilient metal ore known and accessible only to the Dwarves and imbuing it with the power of a master mage, a magical weapon with various sorts of enhancements to make it effective against the forces of the dark could be created. The first of these “new” weapons was created by Arryn over the course of three days and three nights, working nonstop until it was finished: the enormous magical warhammer Mah'alleinir, meaning “he who soars” in the ancient Dwarven language. It was made specifically to fit the size of Arryn's hand and, consequently, would be considered comically massive, unwieldy, and unnecessarily heavy by anyone else's standards. It was perfect in his hand, though; the thing seemed warm to the touch and thrummed with a power that resonated with him on a primal level, as if the weapon were alive and ready to fight and wanted to share its enthusiasm with its wielder. In battle, it gave him resistance to the considerable magical power wielded by the Shadow Queen and her forces. It glowed red and could ignite any enemy struck with it in blazing flames that were particularly deadly to allies of darkness. This was the only new sacred weapon that Arryn would forge himself, as the process of doing so was incredibly detrimental to the health of everyone involved, especially the blacksmith and the mage who imbued the weapon with power, but the secret of the ancient art was out and it was not the only such weapon that was forged by the dwarves during the war--though it was among the most powerful, second only to the Hero's own ancient blade.

For the next three years, the Hero, the blacksmith-turned-general Arryn, their various colorful allies, and the armies of the united nations of Aether fought many long and difficult battles, losing many good men and women along the way, but finally they have made it to the Shadow Queen's stronghold to face her and end her despotic reign of terror. Arryn is eager to fight with his friends to claim justice for Hogan and all those like him who fell to her machinations. His conviction as the group approaches her stronghold at the head of an army is as solid and indestructible as the sacred metal from which Mah'alleinir was forged. It's time to bring this mad war to an end.

Personality: Arryn is a stoic, reserved, and level-headed young man. He is blunt in demeanor and affect. He does not give a great deal away about what he is thinking or feeling through his facial expressions, making him hard to read for people who don't know him that well. All this, in addition to his large size, may make him seem intimidating on first impression, but he's actually a very honest, loyal, and caring person once you get to know him. By nature, he is a very gentle man who dislikes conflict and is slow to anger. When roused, however, his rage is a thing of terror, and woe to anyone who finds himself at the wrong end of it.

He's great at focusing on whatever task is in front of him. When working metal in the forge, for example, he can drown out just about anything that is happening around him, clear his mind of anything but the job at hand, and lose himself completely in the process. Doing so is almost a sort of relaxing sensation for him. He is known as a hard worker with commendable skill at his craft, if somewhat absentminded at times.

He's a deceptively deep thinker. Because he does not speak often, and perhaps again because of his large size, others sometimes make the mistake of thinking him slow-witted; however, he thinks very carefully about pretty much everything. He enjoys musing on philosophical quandaries and puzzles others might find irrelevant or obtuse. When making decisions or solving problems, he tends to take his time to make sure he finds the right answer rather than rushing forward with an idea that might be half-baked. This, unfortunately, has the paradoxical side-effect of leaving him a bit indecisive at times, unable to decide quickly between different, equally-appealing options.

Magical/Fantasy abilities and skills: Arryn does not have any magical abilities besides those granted to him by his sacred hammer, Mah'alleinir. When wielding it, he is granted high resistance to magical attacks and a boost to his already considerable strength, speed, and stamina. He can light things that the hammer touches on fire. If the force of a blow from this does not incapacitate an enemy, the flames surely will. On earth, it is ordinarily reduced to a regular sledgehammer with no magical abilities and no defining characteristics.

Arryn was always abnormally strong for his age and his training as a blacksmith only made him stronger. Ordinarily, he is about as physically powerful as it is possible for a person to be, bordering on superhuman. His strength is complimented by his weapons training as a soldier in the forces of light. He is highly competent with the sword, spear, bow, and axe, with the axe and the warhammer being his personal favorites. In the real world, his size and strength are reduced to those of an ordinary adolescent; he retains knowledge of how to fight, but does not do it as well in the punier, weaker body that he is not used to having. He has never been so small and weak in all his life.

He is a trained blacksmith, though the techniques he uses are medieval. In the modern world, smithing is a great deal different from what he is used to, using purer steel than it was possible to obtain in Aether and working it with machines that he has never seen or imagined in his wildest dreams. It is safe to say that, though he is a master at the craft in his own world, he is barely better than a novice in this one until he relearns it using modern techniques and technology.

He has a keen instinct for battle and a mind for military tactics and strategy, specifically in a high fantasy setting with mages and monsters of all sorts, though that knowledge does him little good in the modern real world. Maybe he can use that talent write a thrilling epic novel one of these days. Look out, George R.R. Martin.

His tiered abilities on earth:

Tier I: He very briefly regains his size and stature from his Aether form. His age and appearance remain his earth form's, just larger, heavier, and more muscular. The change is purely cosmetic, as, despite the increased muscle mass, he does not grow any stronger, only larger and heavier. Growing suddenly from a non-muscular, average 5'10" frame to a considerably bulkier 7 feet tall is good for intimidating people. Also, good for grabbing things inconveniently placed out of reach on the top shelf. Not for much else.

Tier II: He regains his size as well as his near-superhuman levels of strength that he possessed on Aether from his own genetics, his adolescent apprenticeship as a blacksmith, and his training as a soldier in the army of light. A very brief burst of strength and stamina, good for lifting or throwing heavy things and performing strenuous physical feats for longer periods (i.e. running longer distances or holding heavy objects without tiring, holding a bowstring taut for longer, enduring more damage and pain before being incapacitated, doing more pushups, etc.) His sledgehammer does not assume its true form, but it partially regains its barrier effect, allowing it to grant Arryn some small resistance to magical attacks.

Tier III: It's a secret to everybody.

NAME:
Daniel Payne
SPECIES:
Werewolf
AGE:
56
AETHERIAN FORM:
Daniel is a tall man standing at 6’2, his hair formerly blonde but now a snowy white with years of stress and age. To busy with war to better himself, he often has light stubble, as well as tired eyes. However, his eyes are a almost fluorescent icy blue, his trademark along with the long scar that runs alongside the right of his face.
0a4ebd5f802f2227e77e76cbc6d9129b.jpg
EARTH FORM:
Daniel greatly benefited from the change. His hair returned to a midnight shade of black, his eyes however remain the same. Age and the scar have disappeared, and replaced by a chiseled face and a new start.
Lin%2BRan%2B%25289%2529.jpg
PERSONAL HISTORY:
Daniel’s father worked in the military and encountered the werewolf Ruber Greyback, who was on trial for killing two children. His father was the only one at court to realise that Greyback was a werewolf, as Greyback pretended to be a Meera peasant. Outraged when Greyback was released, he voiced the opinion that Greyback deserved nothing but death. This opinion cost the Payne family dearly, as Greyback decided to revenge himself upon Lyall by targeting his son. As the nearly five-year-old Daniel slept peacefully in his bed, Greyback forced his way in through the window. Though his father was able to get there in time to drive Greyback off with silver , he was unable to prevent him from completing his evil goal. Daniel became infected with lycanthropy and he became a werewolf himself. Daniel’s parents took him to various healers and tried their best to make him a normal boy, but there was no cure for his condition. So the only solution was to shield the boy from public eye within the days of a full moon, locking him in a specialty made basement in the woods.

At the age of 18 Daniel had excelled in his studies, and felt he needed more in life which drove him to the army. His father strongly disapproved of this choice, claiming that his condition would be discorvered and be the cause of his death. Disobeying his father, he left home and joined regardless. For the first year he remained undiscovered and treated as a normal solider, until one night he was placed on night watch... This mistake led to the accidental death of two soldiers, and to this day cannot be recalled by Daniel. This led to the re-evaluation of his service, in which Daniel valently defended himself and his condition despite the odds. The generals decided to allow him to serve due to his father’s reputation, but to be restrained and chained during full moons.

For 20 years he followed the rules established, despite the shaming it did cause him. But his brilliant strategies were recognized, and was placed as part of a secret diplomatic mission led by the Hero/Heroine on behalf of Alcamoth to secure a military alliance with the elves of Merluminal Forest along with others. (I’m going to let MagicPenguin expand since it is their idea)
PERSONALITY:
Daniel is compassionate, intelligent, tolerant, levelheaded, peaceful, selfless, brave, perceptive, and good-natured. Despite having suffered a great deal of prejudice in his life due to his lycanthropy, Daniel also had an excellent sense of humour. His perceptive nature is a rather ironic trait, given that wolves are rather intuitive and astute judges of character and communicate primarily through body language, a skill that Daniel is extremely developed and talented at. Nonetheless, he suffers deep-seated feelings of shame and fear of rejection which, in certain situations, lead him to consider backing down.
ABILITIES:
Tier I
Tier II
Heightened senses (only thing not factored by the moon)
(Powers will be decided when full moon comes)
MUSICAL THEME:
Cages- NEEDTOBREATHE
ADDITIONAL NOTES:

NAME:
Silver Ferae (Name she chose for herself, her true name is Scarlett Felis)
SPECIES:
ShapeShifter
AGE:
Nineteen
AETHERIAN FORM:
Silver has long, messy hair that falls down to her waist, and bright red eyes with cat like slitted pupils. Her canine teeth have defined points to them, and - while she can take an almost fully human form - she normally has feline ears, tail and her nails are sharper than most people's. Almost claw like. Her body type is lithe - she's slender and willowy, but has defined musculature.
EARTH FORM:
There's not much difference - her pupils become round, and her fangs and claws disappear. Of course, the animal features disappear, but the silver hair and red eyes remain. The unusual colouration is natural, as Silver is albino. Both ears have several piercings in them, and her clothing style is quite punk, with lots of studs and rips.
PERSONAL HISTORY:
Well, little is known, as the albino doesn't speak of it much. All that's really clear is that she wandered through whatever forests and woods she could find for most of her life, hunting for her food. Completely uncaring if her prey was human or animal. Eventually, she joined up with the dark side, and quickly rose through the ranks as her talent for killing and torturing became obvious.
PERSONALITY:
She's the exact opposite of what people would guess from her reputation - they expect a stoic, cruel person uncapable of caring for anyone other than themselves, but actually Silver is...Like a child. Literally.
Silver seems like a cute, sweet child, every emotion clearly showing. She’s an open book, and she’s so innocent and naive that many people find themselves wishing to protect her. However, she has a major dark side. She’s proud, and has a very short temper. She’s volatile, and unpredictable, with a tendency to bite people when they annoy her. Or even sometimes as a way of showing affection, even if it doesn’t seem very affectionate when her fangs break skin.

She’s quite easily tricked, due to her naivety, and actually has no clue about anything. Something as simple seeming as a handshake would really confuse her, as she has no idea at all about human customs. She can be very rude, either unknowingly, or just because she’s annoyed. She’s very selfish, and greedily hoards her cakes and sweets, which she loves.

Silver is slowly getting warier about immediately trusting everyone she meets, after a few bad experiences. She has great skill for causing pain to others, and she's honed this talent, enjoying the attention it has got her.

Silver doesn't have a clue about anything. The kid grew up alone, by herself in the woods, with no memories of who she was apart from a name (Scarlett Felis, a name she dislikes even hearing, much preferring to go by the alias she crafted for herself). So, really, she could just have easily ended up on the Light Side, if she had found them first. But it was a dark side camp that a terrified, lonely ShapeShifter teen stumbled into, and so, she's on the Dark side. She has no understanding of concepts like "right" and "wrong". Silver doesn't know how to emphathise with another person, and it's almost impossible for her to think "How would ___ feel if I did this?" . When she kills people there's no true malice in it. She enjoys it, yes, but she doesn't understand the concept of someone dying, of that person just...Not being there anymore. She doesn't understand Loss, or Love.

She can't even put a name to her feelings for the people around her. She knows she enjoys their company, but feelings like romantic love are foreign to her (this could change though). She lives her whole life following her instinct, doing whatever she feels she has to - or whatever she thinks will be fun - and doesn't understand the consequences to her actions. She understands Loneliness better than most, and would do literally anything to avoid being lonely again. Hence, her adoration / hero worship (IRONY) feelings towards Lucrezia. She cares about her fellow generals, and enjoys spending time with them, but she wouldn't call them her friends, due to not even really knowing what a friend is.

ABILITIES:
In Aether, Silver can turn into any animal or bird she's seen, but she can't hold magical animal forms for very long, and if she shifts many times in quick succession it's painful and could lead to her passing out.
Tier I - Talking to animals
Tier II - Shift into a mountain lion and back
Tier III
MUSICAL THEME:
Watch Me - Icon For Hire
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- Loves animals, especially cats.

NAME
David Zhang
AGE
20
PERSONAL HISTORY
Born in Yorkshire, England, to Li and Mary Zhang of Beijing China, who moved to England for better employment, David was never meant to go to school. From a young age he always feared shoving his head into books and papers that meant nothing to him. By the time he was old enough to actually go to school, he had already convinced himself that it was all a terrible system that didn't actually help him in any way, so he decided it wasn't worth his time. Perhaps naively so, at the age of eight he began what would become a lifelong habit of slacking off and messing around.
David simply mulled away his high school years, spending much of his time walking around the town doing nothing when he should have been in class. He didn't care for friends, save a few people he would muck about with during class when he showed up. Barely attending enough classes to graduate, David was essentially disowned from his family. His brother, Alex, was on track to become a doctor, after having worked far too hard at school- in David's eyes- and getting accepted to university. Of course, with two parents who didn't want to deal with a deadbeat son, David knew he'd be kicked out sooner or later. On his 19th birthday, David proposed to his parents that they give him enough money to rent an apartment for six months, and a one way ticket to London, so that he would be out of their hair, and working a livable job.

Of course, at the prospect of their son getting a real job, and moving away, they agreed. Somehow, David actually took the initiative for the second time in his life, and found a job as a rail operator on the London Underground, and an apartment that likely was too small to be called an apartment, and lacked the necessities to be called livable. However, he made it work. It costed about half of what his parents thought an apartment would cost, so David was able to furnish the one room apartment with a futon and a few basic kitchen accessories. Of course, he lacked a kitchen beyond a sink, so eating food that would actually nourish him was out of the question. What little money he had that didn't go towards making rent and feeding himself went to a few personal luxuries, such as a cellphone plan that he paid for, and the cheapest internet he could find. For little over a year, David has gotten by conducting a subway train for eight hours a day.

PERSONALITY
David would describe himself as a "Dude". He has little motivation to achieve anything, but he's happy with what he has. Of course, David gives priority to his needs and interests above others in most ordinary situations. Simply, if he doesn't absolutely need to do it, he will not. Indecision and sloth are second nature to David, and as such, he doesn't get very attached to things, let alone people. Of course, when he does latch onto someone, he will never let go, as by then that person has likely unwillingly become part of his support net, that keeps him afloat. Behind his aloofness sits a deep-seated insecurity, from a fear of being swept up into normal life. He may not be the most intelligent or driven boy in town, but he certainly rivals anyone for his desire to live how he wants to.

not racism incarnate.jpg

NAME
Jack Cassaro
AGE
20
PERSONAL HISTORY
Adopted a few months after he was born, Jack never knew his birth parents, but that didn't concern him. His parents were all he could ask for. A wealthy upper-middle class couple who had decided to adopt a child rather than to conceive one, Jack was the joy of their world. A talented tennis player, and gifted with a penchant for mathematics, Jack always knew he would have a place in the world-- He simply never imagined it would be in London. Of course, his childhood was nothing short of idyllic. He could do almost anything he wanted, so long as it didn't conflict with his parent's rules, which were few and far in between.
When Jack entered middle-school, he found Tennis to be his main outlet for any sort of extreme emotion he had. If he was happy or upset, he would simply go practice his swing, or serve. He joined his school's tennis team in this 7th grade, and quickly became one of the better players on the team. His talents in academics and sports led several recruiters for schools in suburban New York City to scout him out. Eventually, he was won over, and would attend a small private school some 45 minutes from his house. While in high school, Jack would continue his upwards trajectory, of course not without the occasional hiccup. It was right around the time he entered 11th grade that he began to ask his parents about his birth mother, and who she might have been. This often resulted in shouting matches with his adoptive father, or his leaving the house for several hours.
By the time he had graduated high school, he was a distinguished student, finishing second in his class. He would spend one year at Boston University before transferring to the London School of Economics and Political Science. Although difficult work, he would finally find his calling in studying Political Science. Just getting away from his home was more than enough for Jack, as he had grown too curious to be cooped up by his lonesome.

PERSONALITY
Reserved, but not one to be short for words, Jack exudes positivity. Rarely is he seen without a smile, or some sort of grin from ear to ear. Despite the outwards appearance, Jack often has internal reservations about most actions he takes. Rarely does he act without direct intentions or a well thought out plan, he doesn't do well when improvising. When he is put on the spot for most things, his nervousness surfaces in a great deal of chuckling, and poorly placed tennis analogies that most wouldn't immediately understand. Of course, Jack is quick to make friends, and can be relied upon-- even by the likes of David. Jack prefers to keep everything around him as simple as possible as well, to the point that he lives almost in a perfect routine. He plans out his days to unusual percision, and rarely strays from his schedules. When he takes too much time on something, or he doesn't have a plan for it, he almost collapses as a person, becoming visually nervous. Preferring to stay inside his bubble, Jack really doesn't g out of it, even if he should.

AETHERIAN NAME: Raijin, God of the Roaring Thunder

EARTH NAME: Rai Kaminari

AGE: 292

GENDER: Male

SPECIES: Oni (Ogre)

HEIGHT (Aetherian/Human): 7'4" / 6'1"

WEIGHT (Aetherian/Human): 278 lbs / 194 lbs

APPEARANCE (Aetherian): Rai's Aetherian for is one of a towering two-horned ogre with a demonic visage. His skin is bloodly red and sparks regularly fly from his skin's surface. He wears little clothing save a pair of trousers for the sake of modesty.

APPEARANCE (Human): As a human, Rai is not as tall as his Aetherian for, but he still remains a relatively tall person with red hair. His human form is far lankier than his Aetherian form, but still somewhat muscular, as a person who regularly exercises. His relatively attractive face constantly bears a mischievous smile.
[/div] [div class="tabsContent tabs2" style="display: none;"]
BACKGROUND:
Born to a family of Oni, Rai was raised to be a warrior for their employers, as well as everyone else in his clan. As an offshoot of ogres, Oni do not have the same influence or overall powers as the primary group of ogres, leading to discrimination. Much of his early life was dedicated to honing his combat skills increasing his strength to monstrous levels, as well as serving his masters. However, during a particularly harsh training session in the Mountains of the Storm Gods, he was caught up in one of the raging battles between the various storm gods. The gods of the Clouds, Thunder, Winds, Rain, Hail, and Lightning were waging their little war for dominance, and Rai had been unfortunate enough to be in the crossfire. Even with his combat ability, he knew he would not be able to stand up against a god.

That is, until the god of Thunder fell in battle. Dying, the god desperately looked for a way to preserve his legacy. His solution came in the form of the young Rai, a host with excellent physical capabilities to compliment the insane magical powers of a god. The being granted Rai his powers to continue on the line of Thunder gods. While the other Storm gods were reveling in the defeat of the old Thunder god, the newly inaugurated god of Thunder decided to test his powers. With the element of surprise, inhuman strength and ethereal magic, Rai was able to force a stalemate among the Storm gods and leave the mountain.

With these newfound powers, Rai went on to free and unite the scattered Oni tribes into a single military force. Though their numbers were few in comparison any other army, the Oni's fighting skill and strength along with a god as their leader, they held their own. That is, until Shadow Queen Lucrezia began her conquest. Seeing this as a perfect opportunity to earn a prominent position in the world for his people, Rai joined the Queen as one of her first lieutenants.

The demon ogre eventually became one of Lucrezia's most trusted generals and led his Oni army alongside other ogres and trolls as the vanguard against the other races. Despite his allegiance to the queen, he we unable to protect her stronghold in the final battle, being held up in another conflict. Hearing of the attack on the Queen's residence, he left his armies behind with the order to return once they defeated their enemies and flew back to Blackrock. He was late to the fight and the queen had already opened the portal. Not wanting his efforts to be in vain, he went in after Lucrezia to save her so that she would finally bring a new era where his people would be recognized.

[/div] [div class="tabsContent tabs3" style="display: none;"]
PERSONALITY: Rai's main goal was to obtain equality for the Oni. He cares immensely for those he considers friends and family, will to drop everything to help a loved one at a moment's notice. Unless, of course, he was assisting another loved one with something important. This was shown in how he literally left the Oni alone in battle to save the queen, knowing that if the Lucrezia fell, the Oni would have no chance at equality. Rai shares the Shadow Queen's disdain for racism, being a victim of this in the former half of his life.

Should anyone attempt to harm someone he cares about, he would unleash the full force of his wrath on them, obliterating them with his thunder and lightning. Even when he doesn't have his powers, he will stand up for his friends at his own personal expense.

Aside from his fierce loyalty, Rai is a generally laid back person. Being a demon and the God of Thunder had little bearing on his personality, as he was able to get his work done easily and still have enough time to kick back and relax. While serving under Lucrezia, Rai's trickster personality surfaced, as he occasionally played pranks on his fellow generals, though not the queen herself, out of respect. Still, he has been know to take pranks a bit too far, as he often forgets that not everyone is as tough as an Oni.

In planning his pranks, Rai is meticulously devious. He spares little expense and effort to get a good laugh. The same cannot be said for menial work. Rai abhors the logistics of managing his army, and sometimes becomes careless, so he relies on his lieutenants to do most of the work. Should he choose to apply a different mindset to his work, he would apply the same fire to managing his armies as he does in pranks.

NOTES:
  • A some-what talented drummer as a human
  • Not interested in any romantic relationships
  • Occasionally cracks jokes about people being short
  • Took an immediate liking to metal music when he came to Earth
  • Eats an enormous amount of food (for a human)
  • Hates boring work

ABILITIES: As the God of Thunder, Rai holds the ability to harness the power of the Storm in combat to a degree only matched by the other Storm gods. Specifically, he has mastery over sound waves and to a lesser degree, lightning and wind.
  • TIER I: Thunderclap: Rai creates a crash of thunder originating from a place within his line of sight. The crash can also originate from himself should he choose to do so and the volume can be altered, varying from a small pop to what sounds like an explosion. This can be used to disorientate or distract people when needed, though the loud and further away the thunderclap is, the more energy it takes out of Rai. *Lightning not included

NAME:
Hannah Miller

AGE:
20

1c594dce36426edeefbf87a028b62c1f.jpg

PERSONALITY:
Incredibly over affectionate, to the point where she can actually make people uncomfortable - Hannah wears her heart on her sleeves and approaches every situation with a sense of over-powering enthusiasm and positivity. Friendly and well meaning, Hannah does her very best to ensure that everyone she knows is as happy as can be and always believes the best in people; which can unfortunately make her rather easy to take advantage of.

Rather scrappy and something of a tomboy (according to her mother) Hannah is somewhat air-headed and easily distracted, but is actually quite intelligent and resourceful when it comes down to it. She's very perceptive when it comes to emotions, and is always willing to lend anyone an ear if they want to get something of their chest. She is polite, but strong willed and stubborn.

JOB:
Hannah runs a small cafe known as Millers, which is tucked away in the grungy underbelly of Camden Town. The cafe was left to her by her father, who was forced to retire due to illness.

NAME: Tannur "The Mongrel"
SPECIES: Half-Elf
AGE: 34
AETHERIAN FORM:
3885ada7799942375fcaea31ab880ae7--male-elf-diablo.jpg

EARTH FORM:
45243-425933629.png

PERSONAL HISTORY: Bastard child of a Dark Elf and a Human woman, Tannur was left with his destitute mother while his father's identity was a mystery he never cared to look into. Seen as both a burden and an embarrassment by his mother he was subjected to almost constant verbal and occasional physical abuse depending on how drunk she was on any given day. Tannur quickly took to stealing both to survive and for the sheer hell of it and found he had a talent for it. While still a child he left his mother's insults and drunken rages behind stealing whatever he could get his hands on and learning to fight when necessary.

Over the years Tannur remained an outcast as his criminal career escalated gaining the moniker "The Mongrel". Eventually he branched out from theft and increasingly daring heists and dealing in information, in one case in lieu of payment for his services from a mage he received a crash course in illusion based magic which he continued to develop over time.

When the war started Tannur initially took jobs secretly spying and sabotaging for both sides of the conflict but found himself increasingly drawn to the Shadow Queen's apparent acceptance of the many different races regardless of their heritage and eventually elected to work openly and exclusively for the Shadow Queen. His notoriety and skill eventually led to him to work directly under Lucrezia though he technically remained independent.

PERSONALITY: Tannur's upbringing has taught him that the world won't do anyone any favours and that if you want something you have to take it and he's done a lot of taking. Keeping his true intentions and feelings hidden beneath a front of confidence is something he has done for so long that he lacks any close relationships and simply being open with another person only happens once in a blue moon.

While he deliberately maintains an image of being an amoral and self-serving criminal Tannur always has a soft spot for children, loathes racism in any form and is almost universally scornful of anyone in a position of power.

Outwardly Tannur acts confident speaking with sarcastic humour often with a fair amount of flirtatious behaviour though he lacks enough trust in people and is too much of a freewheeler to look for anything long term.

ABILITIES:
A self-taught thief and gutter fighter Tannur uses misdirection and any underhanded trick he can think of to gain an advantage backed up by his illusion magic which he uses to disguise or even render himself entirely invisible.
Tier I - Facelessness: Applying an illusion to himself Tannur takes on a different appearance, the strain increases depending on the number of people affected.
Tier II - Shadow Cloak: Short term invisibility. Again affecting more people increases mana costs.

Name: Roland Fairchild

Species: Human

Age: 30

Aetherian Appearance:

randroland2-jpg.435865

About 6'0. 180 lbs.

Earth Appearance:
rolandearth1-jpg.435867

About 5'5". 150 lbs.
Personal History:

Prince Roland Fairchild of Alcamoth is the Church-ordained Hero of Light who wields the ancient, sacred blade Shadowsbane, said to have been forged in the Age of Legends some three thousand years ago. The sword was crafted by Roland's ancestor and the first of Alcamoth's royal line, King Verity Fairchild, using powerful light magic and forging techniques lost to the ages. He is the second child of the late King Hartmut and heir to his elder sister, Queen Ophelia Fairchild.

Though a Hero who would claim Shadowsbane and unite all the nations of Aether under a single banner to combat the darkness was prophesied by the ancient seers of the Church of Light to appear in this era, it was not known to anyone, least of all to Roland himself, that this Hero would turn out to be him. He was raised in a manner fairly typical for a child of royal Fairchild blood, given the education and upbringing befitting one of his station. He and his sister were trained in the use of their family's hereditary light magic by the Church of Light, which resides in Alcamoth and has always worked hand-in-glove with the monarchy to rule Alcamoth and its surrounding territory. He grew up believing he would serve his people either through military service in the Mad Queen's War (as Lucrezia's century-long conflict is coloquially known in Alcamoth), diplomatic journeys to improve relations with his allies, or an advantageous arranged marriage to increase the scope of his family's influence. For the first 24 years of his life,

The war with the self-proclaimed Shadow Queen had been ongoing for nearly a century and was a fixture in Roland's life since before he could form memories. Despite its proximity to Blackrock, it was always assumed that the Captial City would be safe from assault for two reasons. First, the city's walls are the strongest on Aether, manned by the most powerful military force on the face of the continent besides Lucrezia's own. They additionally have a powerful navy with which they could easily ferry in supplies through Alcamoth Port to last in a siege. The second reason is that Alcamoth houses the Church of Light, which, with adequate preparation, is more than capable of nullifying Lucrezia's magical power and retaliating with holy magic of their own, no matter how devastating she might be elsewhere. Any attack on the capital would only be a war of attrition, one that Lucrezia was not in a tactical position to win. So, it was assumed she would never be fool enough to make the attempt. Instead, she'd focused most of her efforts in the century prior to attacking settlements in the East, most notably the Dwarven city of Magruhdul, to which she laid waste nearly a decade prior to Roland's birth, relocating most of the dwarves to the puny settlement of Gulorum and scattering the rest into hiding across the four corners of the continent. That being the case, though the war was always a presence in his life, it always seemed to Roland to be something fought by others in lands many leagues to the East, separate from him and something he need not worry about too much on a daily basis.

This dynamic changed one fateful evening in Roland's 24th year. By means unknown, Lucrezia managed to get a sizable force inside the city walls without anyone knowing about it until it was far too late. By the time the city was aware it was under attack, it was already nearly burnt to the ground, its citizens slaughtered like blind sheep in a pen. Treachery from within the castle guard opened the castle gate for her forces as well, a betrayal traced back to a small group of recruits no one could seem to remember enlisting. Roland and Ophelia, both strong in the Fairchild magic, managed to fight their way out of the castle and take refuge within the Church of Light, whose forces were still holding out. Their father, King Hartmut, was murdered sitting on his throne, presumably by Lucrezia herself or perhaps one of her generals; it isn't exactly clear. The Fairchilds despaired; if the city and the Church fell, nothing would be able to prevent the Shadow Queen from conquering the rest of the nation with the simplest of ease at her leisure. It was then, in their hour of sorest need, that Roland felt a strange compulsion to return to the besieged castle alone. As if in a strange trance, he waited until Ophelia fell into a fitful, restless sleep and created a portal to the dungeons of Alcamoth castle. He felt an odd tugging sensation inside him and felt as though he could hear a voice whispering something to him just below the threshold at which he could make out what it was saying. He moved from the dungeons to the catacombs beneath the castle cellar, which led to a maze of tunnels that had been present since its construction in antiquity. No one living knew where every passage led or how deep the cavernous cellar descended into the earth. Roland allowed the voice and the strange compulsion that had come over him to guide his body through the labrynthine tunnels beneath the castle, turning down seemingly random passages as if he knew exactly where he was going. Eventually, the whisper led him to a dark, dank room, long abandoned to the ravages of time. In the center of the room, a magnificent blade was stuck in a stone, its hilt standing proudly upright in the air. Curiously, he gripped the blade. The whispering became a deafening shout. It cried out for the blood of the creatures assailing its home. It beckoned him to pull it out after millennia of disuse, if he were worthy of wielding it. Roland jerked upward with all his might, though it was hardly necessary; the sword came out effortlessly. He felt the magic that had always been within him jump to astronomical levels as the blade began to glow a magnificent golden. With the evidently magical sword in hand, his magic was amplified a hundred fold. He was already the strongest user of the Fairchild magic in millennia; now it suddenly seemed to him as though he were the strongest in it to ever live. He would later read in the Church's archives that the sword was called "Shadowsbane" by his ancestor, King Verity, who had forged it in the Age of Legends three thousand years prior using a process lost to time specifically to compliment his family's magic. With it amplified to such an extent, there was no magic-user on Aether short of Lucrezia herself who had the power to match him, so long as he held the sacred blade of light in hand. He was ecstatic; with this sword, none could stand against him. With this sword, he could liberate his home. Hope was still alive. His excitement was echoed by the anticipation and bloodlust of the glowing sword in his hand. With all haste, he created another portal straight back to the surface to begin his counterattack. Curiously, in the days following the battle, Ophelia swore to him he had never left her in the Church that night until, near morning, he declared he had something important to do and rushed from the room. The next time she saw him, he had reclaimed the castle at the head of a revitalized army with Shadowsbane in hand. Roland descended again to the castle's cellars in attempt to relocate the path to the room that held the sword to prove to her it existed; unfortunately, he found it impossible to discover again the path through the maze that led to it. He was sure it was down there somewhere, but he simply could not find it in the miles of dark tunnels. The sword seemed amused by his vain efforts to find its former hiding place.

With his new power, Prince Roland rallied the flagging Church and Alcamoth forces and led a blistering counterattack against Lucrezia's armies. In truth, unaware of the sheer magnitude of his new abilities, he probably destroyed as much of the city in his effort to save it as the Shadowspawn army itself did, tossing casual blasts of holy fire with dragon-slaying capabilities at mere foot-soldiers. In any case, it was not long before the force that invaded the city was routed. The castle was purged of the Shadow Queen and her generals, forced to flee before this terrifying, unexpected onslaught. The King was dead, the city all but annihilated, but the Church of Light, though battered, stood and the last two scions of the Fairchild line remained. Princess Ophelia was crowned queen in the wake of her late father's demise. Prince Roland was named heir and heralded by the Church as the Hero of Light, a figure thought by many to be a silly myth to tell their children at bedtime. While Lucrezia's assault on Alcamoth and the Church was intended to be her final, ultimate victory, she had instead inadvertently given her enemies in the Light the only weapon that could truly oppose her.

The Church wanted to immediately begin the task of uniting all the nations of Aether under a single banner and both they and Queen Ophelia sent messengers proposing terms for an alliance; however, other countries and races were barely managing to withstand the forces of darkness themselves. They were not convinced of this new “Hero's” legitimacy and would not join any alliance if it meant risking their own necks to directly oppose Lucrezia while her forces were at their doorsteps; after all, no one wanted to end up like the dwarves of Magruhdul, homeless and on the brink of extinction. They needed assurances that Roland was who he said he was, that he truly had the power to end the Mad Queen's conquest. With all haste, the Prince mustered all the military force Alcamoth and the Church could spare and set out on a journey to prove himself that lasted nearly a year and a half. He marched at the head of a small army to the East to fight the forces of the dark where they were at their strongest, besides on the Blackrock peninsula itself. League by league, settlement by settlement, Roland fought alongside his companions with his newfound sword to release the Shadow Queen's ironclad grasp on Aether. The capstone of this effort was reclaiming the lost city of Magruhdul, the ancestral home of the dwarves. It was this incredible feat that truly let the world know that the Hero of Light had come to make the Shadow Queen pay for her century of death and destruction.

It was not long after he returned from this campaign that Ophelia and the Church again reached out to other nations to strike an agreement for alliance. Galvanized by Roland's victories, the first to accept him as the Hero was the Elven nation in the Merluminal Forest. The journey to formalize the alliance between Merluminal and Alcamoth led to the bloody Battle of Enderach Plains, the subject of the now-famous song, “March to the Forest of the Elves.” Before long, the human nation of Cloudtop joined. When the dwarves had finally all regathered at their reclaimed homeland in the Ashen Mountains, they too added their swords to Roland's cause. As more nations joined the Alliance of Light, more and more of Lucrezia's hard-won territories, from the swampy mires of the Deluge Wetlands to the misty shores of Overtide Island, were reclaimed and their orcish, oni, werewolf and other shadowspawn inhabitants re-subjugated and placed under the rule of the various nations within the alliance. Treatment of reclaimed territories varied widely depending on whose rule they were placed under. Many shadowspawn were treated honorably upon defeat; others were not.

Finally, after six years of bloody warfare since rising as the Hero, Roland led what all hoped would be the final assault on the Mad Queen's stronghold of Blackrock. The forces of light fought and paid dearly for every inch they gained along the peninsula that held her fortress, but eventually they did make it. Now Blackrock is besieged by the united forces of Aether and Roland has led a strike force of his most trusted companions straight into the heart of the castle, where the Mad Queen herself, the author of the last century or more of Aether's history, awaits their pleasure.

Personality:

Roland's chief trait is his sense of duty, something that both he and his sister inherited from their late father. He places the welfare of the people of Alcamoth above all else. He will do whatever it takes to see his own country and the rest of Aether freed from Lucrezia's clutches, no matter the cost to himself. Despite his willingness, however, he often chafed in his youth at the obligations his position as prince entail: he does not relish the idea of marrying someone he does not know for political advantage. He does not like that he cannot simply go for a hunt without a trail of hangers-on all begging for his favor. It is difficult for him to make genuine friends without wondering what ulterior motives they have for approaching him. When he first learned he was the Hero of Light, the added duty of that chaffed at him as well; he never thought he would be responsible for the fate of the entire continent as well as his own country and the burden is a heavy one for him, one that he cannot fully share with anyone, not even his sister.

He is a born leader of men, possessing charisma and military prowess in spades. Though not as learned or experienced as some, he has excellent instincts, a tendency to think outside the box, and a good feel for when it is appropriate to be bold and when it is wise to show caution, though others often tell him his idea of "boldness" would be considered instead "recklessness" by anyone else's standards. He despises courtly intrigues, leaving the finer points of political maneuvering with both the Church of Light and other nations within the Alliance of Light to Ophelia, who relishes such things. He much prefers the simplicity of straight talk with true companions and life-and-death battles with people he knows are his enemies to the complexities of life at court.

He loves to explore, see new places, and meet new people. He prefers experiencing such things directly for himself to merely reading about other countries and cultures in books, though he was a voracious reader when he had the time in his youth. His royal upbringing brings with it a regal demeanor and an open-handed sense of fairness and justice that inspires willing obedience, passion, and love from his subjects; however, this also leads unwittingly to a certain degree of arrogance, an expectation that he will always be obeyed swiftly and completely, and a stubbornness that leaves it difficult for him to admit when his worldview might be wrong. He tries to be flexible in accepting new ideas and admitting when he's mistaken about something, but is not always successful. His stubbornness also means he does not quit, though, even when the odds are against him. “The fight isn't over until you've won, no matter what your opponent believes,” he's been known to say.

Abilities:

-Inheritor of the Fairchild hereditary magic, an extremely potent light magic exclusive to his family that outclasses most other mages of all varieties except masters in even its weakest practitioners. Roland is lucky enough to have inherited it in greater strength than any Fairchild since the Age of Legends. He was trained in the finer points of its use by the Church of Light, as is traditional. The magic can be used for attack, defense, and support. He can vaporize (or merely injure, if he chooses) enemies with punishing blasts of holy light, create defensive barriers, imbue strength and stamina to his allies, sap the same from enemies, heal injuries, and can open portals in space-time that allow him to travel up to about ten miles in distance in a single step. The portals are person-sized tears in the fabric of the universe that can be made in any orientation (i.e.,horizontally or vertically). They have many interesting uses for those who are creative with them, but teleportation across short distances is their most obvious utility. Masters of the Fairchild magic also have the ability of flight. It costs a great deal of mana for any practitioner of the magic who has not mastered it (Ophelia is not able. Yet.). Even then, it requires a great deal of concentration to maintain flight with little room for distraction. However, if Roland is using Shadowsbane and the sword is at max power, flight is nearly effortless for him.

-Extremely able swordsman; trained by masters from Cloudtop. Extremely capable military leader and administrator. He is fairly clever, though not as good at strategies as some of his more experienced companions, to whom he turns when he needs battle plans.

-Skilled on horseback.

-Some experience on the deck of a ship.

-Good shot with a bow or even a simple sling; loves to hunt. He's good with animals in general, though he has a preference for hounds and horses.

-Wielder of the most powerful sacred blade in existence, Shadowsbane. The sword was forged by his ancestor at the height of the Age of Legends and made specifically to amplify the power of the Fairchild magic a hundred fold. While wielding it, there is no magic user on Aether who can rival him, save perhaps Lucrezia at the height of her power. Increases the power of his offensive blasts; makes his defensive barriers impenetrable by any conventional weapons or magic; can heal nearly any injury short of death; increases the distance his portals can cover to a hundred miles, as well as the size of the portals to allow more than one person to pass through. Additionally, the blade can temporarily give normal weapons enhanced effectiveness against creatures of darkness by touching them. It can shoot beams of offensive light on its own with no cost to Roland's own stores of mana, though the ones Roland can create with his own energy are far more powerful and can be calibrated in strength to match his needs while the sword's beams are at a constant middling level of power. When Roland holds it, it is light as a feather and glows with a golden light; otherwise it appears to be a normal, if ornately designed, sword. It is impossible for any but Roland to wield it, as they will find it too heavy to lift and swing. On Earth, it takes the form of a non-magical Swiss army knife that can be stored conveniently in Roland's pocket. Complete with two knives (a big and a small), a mini-screwdriver, a corkscrew, and a can-opener. Instead of the Swiss cross on the knife's casing, it has the Fairchild family emblem, a serpentine red dragon on a white field. Worth noting is that the sword does not amplify Roland's magic to its fullest extent in every battle. Only in the most dire battles against the most powerful opponents will it truly show what it is capable of.

Tiered abilities on Earth:

Tier I: Has brief access to the un-amplified Fairchild magic. He can choose to use it once for any purpose: shoot a blast of light, create a barrier, heal, imbue strength, sap it from someone else, or open a portal. He cannot do more than one, and not more than once within a short amount of time.
Tier II: Wouldn't you like to know?
Tier III: I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

Musical Theme: OR

Additional Notes:

-He is extremely close with his elder sister by three years, Queen Ophelia. Though they are different in personality, they are a constant source of support for one another. They also compliment each other well: Roland prefers battles and being in the field or out among his subjects speaking frankly and openly while Ophelia is more adept at dealing with nobles, negotiating alliances and trade deals, and other miscellaneous political maneuvering from the comfort of her castle.

-Roland has two hobbies in his freetime. He has a love for drawing and, in particular, map-making. Over his many journeys, he's privately taken copious notes on terrain, lands, and distances and used them to make very accurate, to-scale maps and charts of the places he's explored.

Additionally, he also does a lot of writing in what little free time he has, just for himself. When he inherited Shadowsbane and the title of Hero, it was an enormous jump in duty for him. He went from responsible for the people and lands of a moderately sized country in Aether's East to responsible for the fate of the entire world. It was a massive shift in his life, especially when he was already overwhelmed with the magnitude of his responsibilities as a prince, and he still struggles to understand just how he came to be where he is and what it means for him. Writing his story out in memoirs helps him to make sense of his own life. He shows his journals containing these memoirs to no one, not even his sister, and he often times destroys whatever he writes soon after it is completed because he is not satisfied with it and then starts again from the top. Many know of his map-making hobby, but there are very few who are aware that he keeps journals.

-Though Roland has fairly normal, clear blue eyes on Aether, his Earth form has one red eye and one a golden color. It is unclear why this is, though it's very distinctive and it makes him stand out to people who notice.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
Levia’s history is a relatively simple one. She was the 874th attempt at creating a new species to rule the oceans, and the first one to actually succeed in establishing a small society. Her creator was part of the original sea-dwelling species, the Levians. The reason they had been looking for something to take over to begin with was also simple. The species was dying out due to their inability to adapt to the new changes the world was going through, and the advent of sea travel hadn’t been very helpful either…
And so, over the course of 70 years, she had built up quite the sizable civilization. Though only because she kept her base in hiding, and her whole species was generally kept to the abyss and below, with a few exceptions. Luckily, the species had been designed with survivability in mind, and so they could live off of the ores that were in underwater caves and under the sea floor. During the 72nd year of their existence, a few scouts had made contact with the Light side. From the nevian’s appearance alone, it didn’t end well. Black, white and rocky typically get a pretty bad reputation for being evil, and the habit of some harvesting units tearing holes in the bottom of ships due to ignorance added on to it.

Within about a year, it seems they had declared war on the entire species. It wasn’t initally noticed, until they started dropping hazards into the sea. Naturally, the base being decently mobile, they just migrated to a different part of the sea. Then it happened again, and Levia wasn’t the happiest of campers. Special units devoted to sinking ships were entering production, and stolen technology was being recreated in all it’s bio-magitech glory. Within 10 additional years, the concept of flight was realized for them, though only on small units due to complications with the production process. The flying units were actually how the Dark side came across the species, having assisted them in a naval conflict due to having a common enemy. This continued to occur every now and then until it became a common occurance to see, and it eventually prompted an official alliance between Nevians and the Dark side.

With her species in mind, Levia quickly entered an alliance with them, receiving a port as well. This finally allowed some of the species to branch upward, onto land. They advanced a bit further in this time. That continued up until the current circumstances, with the majority of the species still residing in Aether. A temporary leader has been appointed, and they’ve supposedly taken large chunks of the port into the sea with them… Levia however, had decided to follow Lucrezia into this portal, seeing another opportunity to spread, and possibly create a new home. Little did she know it would change more than the location...

PERSONALITY:
Levia is relatively quiet and introverted in the presence of strangers, and sometimes even in the presence of friends and allies if others are already engaged in communication. She just doesn’t want to be rude most of the time, so she stays out of things unless people ask for her opinion. Though those that ask should know that anything that vaguely sounds like an argument between friends, she will remain neutral on. She’s calm, easygoing, and loyal, though she has some trouble expressing emotions properly. At first, her “Hat” used to express most of her feelings visually, though now without it she seems to have an ever present poker face.

Levia is overall simple-minded when it comes to other things. If it will help her advance or keep her species alive, she’s willing to look into it some more. If it will keep them happy, she will look into it. Anything beneficial she will look into. That has generally made her fond of technology, as it has only benefit them to research and add it to their arsenal. Because of her interest in it, she’s a fast learner when it comes to both using and creating it, sometimes even enhancing it further.

ABILITIES:
Tier I:
Levia has increased physical abilities in the water, but not by much. Mainly swim speed and increased ability to hold her breath.
Tier II: TBD
Tier III:

MUSICAL THEME:
ADDITIONAL NOTES:

Do note “average” is actually rather low in this case, what used to be average in Aether is too costly here, at the moment.
Her favorite color is not blue, but purple.
She prefers salty foods.

Name: Jack Foster

Species: Youngling Ördög

Age: 18

Aetherian Form: Darkknight.png(Unmasked and unarmored, Jack's face and body are similar to his human form. However, there are considerable changes made to his appearance such as, His eyes become a stained yellowish color, as well as his pupils becoming slits. HIs hair also goes from it's dark shade of blonde to black. He also grows two horns out of the top of his head, which stem from his helmet. HIs skin all over becomes calloused and scale-like, pale whitish-grey, he grows muscular with blackened veins that protrude from his arms and even around his eyes. He stands in at 6'7 and weighs in around 295 of pure muscle, around 305 with all the armor on.)

Human Form: Foster.jpg
(In this state, Jack holds a much friendlier and more approachable appearance, match it with his personality and you could say he is a very likable friend or person to meet in a cafe or in the streets of London. He has short shaggy hair underneath his hat, slightly calloused hands from his work as an assistant carpenter, and light hazel brown eyes. As well as smile that would make you go "That smile, that damn smile." HIs uniform consists of a light blue shoulder strapped shirt, with a thin white undershirt, generally on a hot day he'll have the sleeves up exposing his lightly tan skin. He wears olive colored trousers with straps that go over his shoulders to keep them up, he wears a brown leather utility belt along with it generally being used for tools or for mild conveniences. He wears brown leather work boots that usually have garters on them to protect the upper less weatherproof portions of the boots. To end it off he wears a blue linen scarf along with a slouch hat on sunny days. Here he stands 6'2 and weighs in at 205.)

Personal HIstory: Well before the war, an Ordog (Half Devil) by the name of Harf "Grieves" Fester had served as an advisor to Queen Lucrezia, but did take time to serve in her army prior to his role as an assistant. He was known for being swift, brutal, cunning, and merciless. Harf made true on his work, the reason why he was brought up to such a position, to take care of Issues Lucrezia did not have the time and/or the care to complete. Hark completed her actions to the letter, whether it be tax collecting with "Necessary force" or keeping the people in line. However as Harf made his rounds again through a small town one day on an order not quite clear by Lucrezia, he was stricken by the sight of a beautiful female Ordog, he thinking he was the only one of his kind around the general vicinity. The Female Ordog's name was Elise, when the two met it was love at first sight something in their hearts told them they were meant for each other, and in these moments Harf's brutality and cruel nature and been torn away to reveal and softer more heartfelt being. Elise had worked hard on the fields for Lucrezia, her horns softly protruded from her forehead not like Harf's, but more as bumps, her hair was a velvet red dirtied by the dust of the fields she worked, her skin still retained a rather appealing smoothness despite her job. Her eyes too, did not bear much resemblance to that of an Ordog, being soft rounded black pupils surrounded by a ocean blue iris. Harf couldn't bear any longer to be without her so he made his move, he had approached Elise and she too like him was shy but blushing. The two immediately introduced themselves but Harf knew his name was widely known, so he decided to use a different name, he said his name was Harry.

Harf would always be delighted, but never expressed it, when he was tasked on patrol. The first thing he would do is patrol the kingdom with some of Lucrezia guards a few times, then say he is going another route cut directly to Elise so they may talk more, expressing love for one another with hugs and the occasional heartfelt kiss, and Harf would be back on with the patrol. One day however he learned that she was moving out of this part of the dark realm of Aetheria. To a land that would be a 5 day travel by dirt road on horseback. Harf didn't have the time and was sure none of Lucrezia's magic casters nor Lucrezia herself would open a portal for him to visit the girl, or at least he believed so. So Harf, with his stone face, had requested from Lucrezia time on leave, of course he never asked for it before and was truly working hard for Lucrezia, so she allowed him only a 3 days leave. Harf had to think quickly of what he could do, he know he could trek through the mountains but there was no clear path or passage and most likely he would receive Ordog fatigue, an illness which is caused by cold climates and can be irreversible if not treated right away. Harf knew the risks and still took it, it was a long journey and cost him a day and a half.

Like anyone could have seen coming, Harf had received the Ordog's fatigue, he knew that if he acted quickly he would save himself but he had not the time for it was a long process of constant magic to remove the deadly illness. Immediately as he entered the Valley Elise had moved to, her hut not even constructed yet, she welcomed him with a hug and kiss, immediately Harf grabbed her and led her beneath a peach tree. There in the soft wind in and the shining night sky, Jack was conceived. (Ordog Fatigue is not contagious) Finally the fatigue began to overcome Harf but he still used all of his power and might remaining to help her in the final day of his life, and in his sickness he saw a vision of his son leaving Aetheria, Harf told elise to return to the kingdom with their child, and to let him go come age 18. With that Harf died after his 3 day leave, never returning nor reporting to Lucrezia, he had crafted a letter explaining himself but Elise in her fears and sadness did not give the letter to Lucrezia. Jack was born, immediately he bared resemblance to his father in some manners such as his skin and eyes, but he took on his mother's sweet and tender personality. As Jack grew he helped his mother and by age 18 he was about to be drafted into Lucrezia's forces until the kingdom was overrun. From that followed the events that led to portals to earth and he, both his want to serve in his father's absence and a little bit of curiosity, snuck through with the forces of light an into the castle joining Lucrezia's portal to escape. Immediately he was dispersed to the Scotland Yard of London. There he took on his new form and knew that there had to be something. He hadn't left home empty handed, he had brought his father's letter and his mother's amulet. Two things he would hold onto with all his might. Jack struck out when a group of carpenters offered him work as he strode by them, now he continues to work with them.

Personality: He is a generally cheerful and kind fellow who rarely speaks out over people, who enjoys the soft and calming tone of jazz music, who is someone you can talk to and who will listen. Jack is is not perfect and he'll make mistakes but he will always try to correct them. He is a kind of person that is determined but not stubborn, he'll do his absolute best but will not keep going on a fruitless effort. He easily forgives, depending on the offense of course, because he is not one to make enemies. If you need somebody to lean on, he'll gladly take the weight. He is not one to be stressed out so easily so if he starts to sweat or speak timidly then you would know something is wrong.

Abilities:
Tier 1-
Jack has enhanced physical capabilities, essentially his muscles in his body have been nurtured by the dark essence of his father's magic that resides within him, making him be able to run much faster than the average human, jump about 12 feet, and punch at 2,350 PSI, and be able to absorb much more damage.

Tier 2- To be Discovered

Tier 3- Lol Wut

Musical Theme:

Extra: He had been learning to play guitar, but he still follows the hypnotic beat of it's soothing strings much like a slow song on a sleeping night time river. Jack absolutely loves seafood, he never did grow up on it but he acquired a taste for the fish from the sea. He gets a weird itch in the upper right corner of his head. Jack can stand but doesn't enjoy rock n roll unless it's the blues. He keeps his Mother's amulet in his trouser pocket, and his father's letter by his belt, awaiting to see Lucrezia to give it to her. He also used, brought, and hid his father's runed sword.

NAME:
Marcus Felis
SPECIES:
ShapeShifter
AGE:
22
AETHERIAN FORM:
Unlike someone (coughSilvercough) we know, he prefers to look almost completely human, only the slight points to his ears and canine teeth that show he is something more than just human. He has delicate, almost girlish features, with big, mismatched eyes. One is a golden shade of brown, the other a vivid blue. His chin length black hair is constantly messy, giving him the appearance of someone who has just tumbled out of bed. He's tall and skinny, and the baggy clothes he prefers to wear only accentuate this. Marcus's hair is almost supernaturally soft.
EARTH FORM:
Pretty much the same.
PERSONAL HISTORY:
When his parents were killed, he tried to look for his little sister, but found no sign that she was still alive. He found his way to the capital city and joined the army of Light as soon as he was old enough. He keeps his reasons to himself, though if he was forced to admit why, he would say it's for all the broken families out there, whose fathers and or mothers were killed by Lucrezia's forces.

When her heard stories of a young shapeshifter becoming one of Lucrezia's general, he started working harder to get closer to the prince. After all, how many young, silver haired shapeshifters could there be in the world? Even if it wasn't who he feared it was, it had been a long time since he had seen one of his own kind, and he longed for an opportunity to get close to her, even if he would have to be the one to kill her.
PERSONALITY:
Marcus is normally very calm, and always thinks before he speaks, observing a situation through his mismatched eyes before deciding a course of action. He's reasonable, but slightly over-cautious and he can be very shy in social scenarios. He's very resourceful, though not many get to see him taking charge and making plans. His best friends are almost solely animals.
Marcus can be very over protective, as well as being incredibly loyal - he would lay down his life in an instant for someone who's earned his loyalty.
ABILITIES:
As a ShapeShifter, Marcus can turn into any animal he's seen, can talk to animals, and animals generally feel calmer around him.
Tier I - Talk to animals
Tier II - shapeshift into one thing and back
Tier III - ???

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

- Is very tall (Well, six foot tall, but he's lanky)
- Doesn't like people touching his hair, but it's so soft

Can throw knives really well

EARTH FORM:
816b3da3e96639c6094d775985d196b1.jpg

PERSONAL HISTORY:
Choice is not a concept that our Hero is familiar with. From an early age, Drewn has lacked an opportunity to be himself. He was fated to save the world from the grasp of the Lilium Queen. Where others had tried to wield the sword and had their life evaporated to the the whims of its everlasting light, Drwen forced the blade to his will. From then on, he was groomed and trained for years with the monks of the Elirdric Order, sacrificing his childhood and life to the purpose. It was fated that his life wiould end with the Queen's.

Except it didn't.

None of the prophecy or the teachings of the church happened. The fight was gruesome and, despite the amount of blood spilled on the battlefield, the two opposed were equally matched in strength. The Lilium Queen bested him in wit though, opening a way to escape for herself and her closest followers. Determined not to lose, Drwen kept the portal open through his own might, allowing a small cadre of his own comrades through. He expected to be transported to another part of Ather. What he found was his form and powers changed in an entirely different world. He'd reverted to a younger form, years gifted back to him. Years that he'd sacrificed for the greater good. Still wielding the sword in this new state, our hero now has the choice to forget he ever battled in a war he never understood or find the woman he was supposed to kill and ask her why he was tasked with such a mission in the first place.

PERSONALITY:
ABILITIES:

Regardless of the might of your true form, your character will find that they are severely diminished in power on Earth. There is no known way at the start of the RP to replenish your mana or stamina. Using abilities will leave your character exhausted, and your capabilities may be removed entirely if they are used too much. Please leave Tier III blank.
Tier I- Unyielding Will: A power that seems to have carried over to his Earth form rather seamlessly, Drwen is able to achieve fantastic feats through the power of sheer determination. Once he puts his mind to a task, it's only a matter of time before it is done. The limits of this power also stretch out to seeing through illusions ond slightly bending the edges of reality to his whim...if only slightly.

Hisae Shirakuni

”Why should I apologize for being a monster? Has anyone ever apologized for turning me into one?”

Nickname: Snow.
Age: 20.
Gender: Female.

Personal History: Hisae used to be a happy child, always smiling even if things went wrong, she’d never lose the hope that it would be fine in the end. That everything happened for a reason, in order to reach the happy ending like the princesses did in fairy-tales. However people were cruel and it was bound for her to change if she liked it or not. When she got into secondary school, people started mocking her appearance as “she wasn’t like them” in appearance. Pulling their eyes into slits whenever she would say something, making her grow silent as she knew all too well that they weren’t just teasing her. This kept on going and became worse with time. Once, a group of friends came to her in the cafeteria, putting down chopsticks in front of her as she was supposed to hold up the tradition. Even putting a tin of sardines on there as well before leaving while laughing. Hisae was heartbroken as she didn’t see why people were this mean to her as she didn’t do anything wrong in the first place.

One event made her life turn around however. The day before spring [age: 15], the last drop fell as they mocked her mother who was from Japan and her stepfather who just wanted to get his fingers on an Asian woman in their opinion. She didn’t care when it went about her but if it wasn’t it was a whole different story. Her seat was next to the window while the others surrounded her, the one behind her was the one who made the nasty comment. As if her mind went completely blank, she stood up and turned around without the slightest hint of emotion to be seen on her face. Grabbing the other girl’s hair before slamming it against the window, making a loud noise which made everyone turn to them. Shocked as they didn’t expect it from Hisae. Repeating the movement three times, each with more force until she was pulled away by a teacher. The girl dropped down to the floor unconsciously as she didn’t have the time to react to defend against Hisae. The one thing they didn’t know about her: her family owned a dojo which she trained in almost daily.

She got suspended and was pushed a mountain of homework she had to do during this time. She was allowed to go back one month after. The bullying stopped. However her parents were horrified with what she had done especially after they had told her not to misuse her strength for something like this. The look of disappointment was clear to be seen, they didn’t talk to her much anymore after that. Making it seem like she was a ghost living in the house. As she got into more fights, it only became worse to the point of her moving out as she didn’t want to see that look anymore every single day.

Now that she found her place, her vision on this so-called Earth changed. She didn’t feel like their was actual justice. It was just something that was made up by those who had power. By those who never had to lift a finger, never doing something themselves and letting others clean up their mess. She was tired of it. So when the day came that she graduated high school, it couldn’t be better as it meant that she had more freedom now. She established a name of her own in the cosplaying world. Crafting props and clothes for other people for a sum of money or just doing some modelling in order to be able to live on. She managed and liked what she did. Nobody could dictate her either as she was her own boss. She had started cosplaying at the age of 14 as she wanted to do something instead of just lazing around during the holidays. Therefore her skills upgraded each time and now they were at a fairly good level which she could be happy with.

Personality: As a child, Hisae was very sweet, kind and cheerful. She has always been bold and confident, but even more as a child than now. Despite her parents working most of the time, she didn’t feel lonely. In secondary school, due to things happening to her, like teasing and bullying, Hisae started bearing mistrust and disgust towards both men and women, which is why she was alone most of the time but was fine with it. After the accident, she is perceived by others as being short-tempered, violent and especially distrustful. Underneath her aggressive personality, Hisae is actually very emotional, insecure and lonely. She has not found it easy to trust people [since the incident] because she has a fear of being betrayed and left alone. She also does not know what romantic love is.

Family:
> Robert McDonough [boyfriend of mother]
> Asuna Shirakuni [mother, she took on her family name after the divorce]

Job: Professional cosplayer, crafter and model.

NAME: William Gerriden
AGE: 18

PERSONAL HISTORY: Daniel is a well-respected young man who recently graduated High School. He was raised well, despite his mother passing at birth. His father never remarried, but did his best to mold Daniel into the man he is today.
His childhood was tough, but not impossible. His father worked two or more jobs to keep his son fed and clothed at all times, until he opened his own business. It started as a hole-in-the-wall fitness room at a university, but has expanded into a successful business in its own right.
Since he was alone for most of the day in the summer months, he wanted to learn self-defense, so he watched videos on Tai-Chi, Jiu Jitsu and Karate for years, copying the movements of the masters. He won third place in the regional Tai-Chi championship, enlisted by his father using the gym as the "school name".

PERSONALITY: Kind, easy to talk to, doesn't know a stranger. All the same, he's no pushover, and is tactful and cautious around newcomers, as he has seen his father get hurt by too many scam artists and heartbreak rodeos. When he's conducting business or an emergency arises, he's all business, no games.
He's not dull, as some would target a fitness center co-owner to be. He's currently taking online classes for Emergency Medicine Technology, both so he will stay sharp academically and so they don't have to pay for an ambulance ride if a customer injures themselves. He is well-liked by the regular gym customers and loves helping people.

He and his father are both devout Christians and attend church weekly.

FAMILY: Father: Frederick Gerriden; Mother Sandra (Deceased). No other family.

JOB: Fitness Teacher and General Help at Worx Out Fitness Center. The title is a little corny, but it was his dad's idea, so he respects it. Business is great, and Daniel loves working there. He plans to take over when his father retires, keeping the family business open for generations to come.
He helps with minor administrative and housekeeping duties in addition to his regular job teaching Tai-Chi and Waterobics, to help ease the strain on his father and their budget. They recently lost two well-qualified front desk employees and hiring out from labor companies costs too much.

Elena Rosanne Benoit

NICKNAME:
Rose

AGE:
21

APPEARNCE:
Elena is a slender woman that stands at a simple 5'5" while weighing from 118 to 125 lbs depending on the season. She tends to have her long, dirty blonde hair in a messy bun or ponytail with wide-rimmed glasses masking her doe eyes. Her fashion sense is rather simple because she hates the hassle of dressing up, but she can look nice when she wants to depending on the situation. When she's at home, people often mistake her as a man because she tends to dress like a slob--sweats and a t-shirt and all. Expression wise, she usually wears a calm smile or a dazed expression when she's in her own little world.
TVOn0F3.png
7EykRAR.jpg

PERSONAL HISTORY:
Elena was born to her single mother, Madeleine in London, UK. The first few years of her life were a bit of a rough start with the two of them barely scraping by. Her days were often characterized by worry. Worry about when the electricity or water might cut off. Worry about who would break into the apartment next. Worry about what the young girl would eat for dinner, or for the next week. Every day sent Elena down a path of anxiety, yet she fully trusted in her mother's ability to provide for them both.

Madeleine eventually signed herself to a local publishing company and their lives seemed to take off from there. A couple bestsellers were enough to pick the two off the ground and actually get a house on the outskirts of London, away from the busy street life. Elena lived comfortably for a while as she wrote her own stories in the comfort of her very own bedroom. Her mother saw this potential and began encouraging the young girl to do and write more. However, Elena eventually found something else she enjoyed doing very much and that was singing.

Elena's mother didn't fancy her daughter's new passion. Their relationship began to deteriorate and it was nearly nonexistent upon her entering high school. She didn't want to completely block Madeleine out of her life, of course, she agreed to entering university as a creative writing major as long as she could live away from home and have tuition money sent to her instead of the school directly. Now Elena lives in a small two-bedroom apartment where she works at a bookstore. Her mother doesn't know she's only been going to school part-time, nor that Elena is singing more instead of writing.

PERSONALITY:
Elena is a fairly calm woman with an old soul that generally keeps to herself. She is very imaginative and curious, often finding herself in a bind when something interesting catches her eye. There are many occasions when she will overtly express herself, however, she can just as easily return to her personal bubble. Although she can be quite nosey at times, she understands that some boundaries mustn't be passed and will never force herself upon someone if she realizes what she's doing. Elena is also a very stubborn woman that won't hold her tongue back when she feels threatened or belittled. Her temper is something that's hard to break, but even she can lose a cool train of thought.

FAMILY:
• Madeleine Benoit [mother] – Madeleine emigrated from the United States to escape her family, pregnant with Elena. They have a rather rough relationship and Elena rarely visits her mother unless it's an emergency.

JOB/OCCUPATION:
The young woman is currently working at an old fashioned, two-story bookstore. She also attends university part-time, however, she's been attending class less frequently lately.

MUSICAL THEME:

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
• Elena dreams of becoming a singer, however, her author mother keeps pressuring her to becoming a writer. It's not like she completely hates it either. The young woman enjoys her fair share of stories.
• Every Friday and Saturday night after she's closed the bookstore, Elena heads to the nearby pub to sing and play the piano or guitar.
• The bookstore Elena works at is called Author's Attic.
• This is the apartment her mother got for her (blue exterior).
• This is her singing voice.
• This is her speaking voice.
• Elena speaks English, French, and some Chinese.
• She has a mild dog allergy, but she's thought about getting a dog with not as many allergens.
• Winston, her grumpy senior cat, absolutely hates dogs and generally prefers female humans over males.

NAME: Thaddeus "Tad" Dahlton
AGE: 22
SEXUALITY: Closeted Gay
PERSONAL HISTORY: Tad was born to George Dahlton, an Irish professional footballer, and Veronica McCarthy, an Irish pediatrician. He had a fairly normal childhood, living a somewhat privileged life, until reaching middle school. From there, poor Tad was bullied by a few students because of his feminine mannerisms, causing him to establish self-esteem issues and become self conscious about what people thought of him. Soon, Tad began to build a protective shell and "mask" of a new person. What used to be a geeky, sensitive kid became an edgy bad boy. Soon after that, Tad's parents divorced after a few turbulent years, and his mother remarried to an alcoholic and bigoted man that Tad did not like. The rest of his life was uneventful up to this point, other than him finally realizing his sexuality in his senior year.
PERSONALITY: WIP
FAMILY:
  • George Dahlton - Father
  • Veronica Wheeler - Mother
  • Dave Wheeler - Step-Father
  • Gillian Dahlton - Little brother
  • Nessa Wheeler - Baby half-sister

  • Dislikes the color chartreuse
  • Collects vinyl records
  • Carries a metal baseball bat in his car just in case of a zombie apocalypse mugging
  • Huge comic book buff
  • Is incredibly scared of people finding out that he's gay, thinking it will destroy his social standing and will cause him to lose his friends

5'11, 172 pounds
EARTH FORM:
2640b5e34e3a2b4a53d1972399a621ab.jpg
5'8, 141 pounds, no flowers
PERSONAL HISTORY: There is not much to be said on Ana, due to her nature. What can be said, however, is a life of running, stealing, deceiving, and killing. Ana was left alone at a the nice young age of 10, her parents kicking her out into the streets due their view on her being a disgrace. She was royalty, royalty did not lie, or go out adventuring with the knights, especially female royalty. She wasn't having any of it, she would not be swayed, so they disowned her. Her life on the streets didn't last long, being picked up by a Mercenary guild when she was 12.

From here, she learned how to perfect her fighting style, even refine her magic to fit her new job. By 15, she was a talented fighter, a decisive mind, and a fairly smooth talker. She was finally ready to take on her first task of gathering information. It took weeks, part being undercover and part being in the shadows, but she came out with exactly what they needed. She was 22 when the war broke out, and while the work she wasn't doing wasn't the cleanest, she aligned herself with the forces of Light, as a spider is always a useful card to have. She was one of the first to follow after the Dark Queen into the new realm, and with an unfamiliar place such as this, she felt her new skills would come in handy quite often.

PERSONALITY: Anastazia was one who spoke rarely, feeling that action spoke volumes. She thought out every option, until she found the best one. She was an observant person, never the party or fanfare type. She isn't really fazed by insults, unless they are directed to the she cares about. After that, all gloves are off and she will not hold back on them. While she may not show it, she is the caring type, and little things make her happy.
ABILITIES:
Tier I- After a few minutes of focusing, she can summon a cold frost to her hands, enough to freeze some objects. It doesn't have much effect on people, as she can't get it strong enough to actually effect flesh.
Tier II- Before leaving, she was able to send of flurry's of daggers made of ice or summon them to her hand, only losing them when they left her hand, or hit their target. Now, they may only last a minute in this form.
Tier III- Good question...
MUSICAL THEME: I Apologize, Five Finger Death Punch

AETHERIAN NAME:
Morgana "Lady Death"

EARTH NAME:
Margo Nikravesh

SPECIES:
Banshee

AETHERIAN AGE:
32

EARTH AGE:
19

AETHERIAN FORM:
Morgana stands at 5'8" and weighs around 140 in muscle. Her body is extremely toned with slight curves, although hidden under her dark armor. The woman's white hair falls just passed her breasts in light waves. Scars make their home along the hairline near her gray eyes, which she isn't afraid to show. Her eyebrows are dark and thick, adding to her overall strong and ghostly look.
HYrTm4A.png

EARTH FORM:
Morgana's earth form is much more approachable. Instead of wavy white hair, her locks are dark and straight and fall a few inches passed her breasts. The color of her skin is warmer, as if it's constantly sun-kissed. She has a much softer appearance although she still stands at a model height of 5'8" while weighing much less. Even her amber appear gentler and full of life.

ejuTOnr.jpg

PERSONAL HISTORY:
Captured after decades of living as a wandering spirit, a somewhat ambitious scientist wanted to create his very own banshee. Normal banshees woke into the role at random points in their human lives, but there were stories that they could be artificial so long as the correct measures were taken. The lost spirit was caged and she experienced many sensations that should have been near impossible. The new Morgana was eventually born, taking place of the old in an extremely cruel way.

Morgana’s life before she was reborn is nonexistent because she can’t remember anything from that time. The only things that fill her mind are the memories and feelings of the former Morgana, chained into her heart and soul like some kind of horrid curse. For years, Morgana lived in the cruel care of her creator, locked up in his basement and having never seen the light—the girl didn’t even have a name during her time with the scientist. She eventually became unable to handle the treatment she was receiving, and out of a moment of pure survival instinct, the now young 13 year old managed to escape.

A few days of wandering lead her to a nearby village that was stricken with plague. Curious and intrigued by the people and their ailments, she wandered in only to hear the name “Morgana” screamed. At the time, Morgana was extremely confused but she soon realized what had happened as everyone gathered cautiously around her. Apparently, the body she owned was once named “Morgana” and it had died years ago due to the same plague flying about. The curious stares soon became clouded with judgment and horror as the villagers understood that Morgana was still gone, only some sort of demon now replaced her. They began to antagonize Morgana to the point where she felt her life was in danger. The village was soon painted in blood, with Morgana covered and dead center of the piece.

For two years Morgana roamed the lands, tales of a “Lady Death” spreading like wildfire. It wasn’t like she purposely killed anyone, but banshees weren’t exactly welcomed in most parts of the world. They were a bad omen to nearly every kind and culture, yet it was hard for Morgana to understand that. Eventually she grew to not care what happened to the lives around her and resorted to killing for survival instead of dealing with persecution. This went on for a while before she was finally liberated and recruited by the forces of the dark. For once, Morgan’s felt accepted and desired and she quickly rose through the ranks with these new profound feelings.

PERSONALITY:
Strong, powerful, and absolutely devoted to her cause, Morgana is a woman that people against her wish they'd never met. Her words burn people like the core of a blue flame, never baseless nor crude. She carries her head high and walks proudly wherever she goes, taunting those with wavering hearts and loyalty towards the Dark Side. The sultriness of her voice often contradicts her actions, which range from threatening to absolute bloodshed. People are mistaken when they believe they have earned her trust because she is a difficult person to win over. Extreme measures must often be taken to appease her never ending desire to feel controlled, a result of so many years as a slave. There is also a battle of leadership within her thanks to the dormant spirit within her, but Morgana has managed to maintain the dominant role.

Even the most stoic and serious person has a softer side, and Morgana is no exception. While she wears a mean resting face at all hours during the day, she can be rather charming in her own way. The actions and behaviors are subtle, but every now and then she can be caught with the smallest smile or glow that often do not feel like her own. In such cases, animals are usually within the vicinity because they are the only creatures that do not instantly retract themselves from her. She also has a more lustful side which goes hand in hand with her desire to feel controlled. The experiences are strangely comforting for her, although she would never admit it along with never admitting many things.

ABILITIES:
Morgana’s abilities tire her out on Aether, so the likelihood of her being able to conjure them on Earth is practically zero. Like most other Banshees, she has the ability of premonition and is connected to the deceased. There are times when she can even visualize a person’s impeding death if not just sensing it and wailing uncontrollably.

Tier I – Thanks to the the black tattoos etched into her arms and legs by a druid, Morgana can harness the energy around her and increase her physical strength and endurance by at least six fold.
Tier II – Morgana can induce extremely vivid visual and auditory hallucinations on non-banshees.
Tier III – N/A

MUSICAL THEME:

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
• Morgana's favorite lines are "Do you want to die?" and "Do you want to f***ing die?" respectively.
• For a few months, Morgana had somewhat of a fling with a fellow Dark Sider.
• A master at dual wielding, her two short swords merge into one with a handle that is longer than most.
• Morgana became Lucrezia's personal bodyguard around age 22 and is usually by the leader's side at least 20 hours a day.

Silver Ferae
Years ago, Morgana stumbled upon a very first child that tried to kill her. The attempt failed, of course, but Morgana saw so much of her inside the girl that she ended up recruiting her to join the forces of darkness. Morgana pretends she doesn’t enjoy the shifter’s company but deep down she does. While there are times the younger can be a bit frustrating, Morgana would lay down her life to protect Silver if it came down to it.

Lucrezia
Morgana trained for years and rose the ranks for a while before finally being noticed by Lucrezia. The banshee became the elf's personal bodyguard around age 22, and she deeply respects her leader.

Raijin
Raijin was the one that came across Morgana during her wandering days. He took her under his wing and trained the woman into the great warrior she is today. Thanks to him, she has found a purpose for her life and she will continue to be grateful towards him until her last breath.

[div class="contentBox contentC contentSpin"][div class=contentFix]Personal History and Personality

Aemi was born in Vinistead just before the start of the war. The Dark Lord had started to rise in power, and Aemi's small, isolated village was an easy target to inflict fear towards Alcamoth, the capital city. Aemi's parents were forced to move away from their old home, leaving behind an comfortable old life in exchange for a dangerous new one. In a two week's journey, they arrived in the Erie Village, then moved farther north to Crowhaven. Crowhaven had a large militia of volunteer soldiers and professionals to deal with anything that may attack the fortress.

However, days after arriving in Crowhaven, Aemi had gotten terribly sick. This disease caused Aemi to start to be incapable of movement, and generally unfit to perform in anything other than lying down in bed in pain. Healers and doctors weren't able to do anything about Aemi. Nobody knew anything about her condition. Aemi's father was drafted into the military, and Aemi and her mother were left with little to no options. Her mother decided it would be best to give her away to the Reincarnation Program, which was a project by the Crowhaven's officials. The person would be put into quarantine, and healers would work on them until they were completely fixed. The drawback - all memories were wiped from her except her common sense.

Months later, Aemi was sent out into the wild with some scrap clothing, a minuscule amount of food rations, and a basic blunt sword to fend off for herself. Aemi wandered around Aether's grassy plains, high mountains and sandy deserts. She suddenly arrived into Alcamoth, a large city with heavy potential for future knights and training students. She proceeded to sign into the knight's program, a month-long class on general survival skills, fighting techniques and a little bit of self-healing. Aemi became one of the many defenders of Alcamoth, being a strong defender of the city. Soon, she enrolled in more classes, and more techniques and even magics were starting to be learned. Aemi was advancing her skills little by little.

Aemi started training with better weaponry, forged by Hogan, a dwarven blacksmith. Her best sword, the Candentis, was a sword forged by Hogan himself. It was a strong sword with the ability to temporarily absorb some of the strength of the defeated enemies into her own weaponry. With this sword, the saying "getting stronger after every defeated enemy" became a reality for Aemi. After the first attack on Alcamoth occurred, Aemi wasn't ready for combat - but she was still posted to defend the castle. After the end of the assault, Aemi was one of the guards positioned to check on all housing to see if people were okay and if anything was necessary. Stumbling upon the ruins of the forge, Aemi did her best to accompany Hogan's apprentice - Arryn, who was also a good friend of hers - back to the stations for healing and food. // After the two years of training, Arryn had officially passed Aemi in terms of skill. While being a little jealous, she couldn't help but feel proud that she aided Arryn in his path to success. Arryn, of course, went onto his mission, and Aemi stayed in Alcamoth to continue her training. After months of training, Aemi was named one of the twelve holy guardian deities of the capital's military. She was a commander of her own "squad" (which don't follow her to Earth).

After the mission's infamous failure, Arryn was taken back to the capital, along with Prince Roland Fairchild, and a variety of other heroic companions who survived the ambush. When the Prince decided they needed to continue their mission, Aemi decided to follow this time around. Aemi had been significantly more trained, but she could also have some slight healing potential. Aemi was allowed to join the alliance, and then, her continual support aided the fellowship greatly.

By the time the Alliance reached Shadow Queen Lucrezia's fortress. The large group stormed the stronghold, and Lucrezia or whatever her damned name was - was about the feel the fate they are bringing to her.

Aemi is a sweet and caring girl, but won't hesitate to commit an action when necessary. Her clumsiness creates a facade of airheadedness, but Aemi's wits are strong and doesn't break easily.

NAME: Juniper Lazuli Arc

SPECIES: Human

AGE: 20, looks 17 on Earth
AETHERIAN FORM:
5"9' around 153 Lbs

EARTH FORM:
5"1 around 124 Lbs

PERSONAL HISTORY: Juniper was an only child born in a small village outside of Cloudtop. It was a small farming village, one that no one would bat an eye if it were to disappear. And disappear it did after a company Brigands had come through and raided the village, abducting the villagers and razing the surrounding area to the ground. She was only 3 when she along with her mother and some other villagers were abducted, however she was too young to remember anything specific. All she remembered was being scared and huddling next to her mother as they were carted off. After the brigands had returned to their camp they split up the prisoners to ransom and prisoners to keep as hostages. Juniper was placed in the latter category while her mother was placed in the former. She never saw her mother after that day, however she found a new mother in the form of the camp's leader, Summer. Summer had apparently lost her own daughter to disease a few months before the raid. In her grief she instructed her followers to abduct any child that bore a resemblance to her daughter and bring them to her. As it turned out aside from her eyes Juniper was a near match for her child and was named her new daughter.

For the next 14 years of her life Juniper was raised in the lifestyle of a brigand. As the adopted daughter of the leader she was expected to be strong. Strength was everything to the brigands, if you were weak you would receive less food, have less influence and would receive the smallest cut of a raid. Her mothers status had lessened the difficulties of things like training and equipment but also placed the burden of being strong enough to succeed her in the case of her death. The training was brutal and violent, the raids taxing and life-threatening, but through her own willpower she pulled through until she became her mother's second in command. Eventually she began to think of Summer as her actual mother and considered all of her partners a family in a weird way. Despite the nature of their deeds Juniper didn't feel bad about what she did, it was only natural that those who are stronger can do what they want.

Unfortunately this very same way of thinking would lead to the groups demise. Word of the Dark Queen had spread throughout the camp and eventually reached Summer. The idea of someone stronger than her was insulting and had to be corrected. Instructing her followers to prepare for an all out attack on the apparent queen they packed up and destroyed what couldn't be taken before beginning their march. Surely the stories of the queens power were merely exaggerated right? As it happened they were not exaggerated as proven by how easily they were all wiped out, save for Juniper who miraculously survived with bumps and scrapes. Faced with the overwhelming power of the queen Juniper immediately pledged her allegiance to her and was drafted into her ranks. Only recently has she been raised to the rank of general, and although she is doubtful that she will live up to her queen's expectations she is determined to serve her in this life and the next.

PERSONALITY: Juniper is very quick to anger and even quicker to voice her displeasure. She is loud and brash when dealing with those that she's unfamiliar with, often bossing them around until she begins to know them. Once she begins to warm up to you she can be pretty caring in her own right. If something is bothering you she'll force you to tell her and then go charging off to solve it herself. Although one would assume that she lets her emotions control her Juniper is actually more tactful than she lets on. She is very honest and doesn't mince words when she needs something, and is not above begging for help if needed. She greatly values her friends and comrades to the point that she will put their health before hers, in some cases staying awake all night to watch over camp while others rest. If one were to compare her it would be like a mother bear and her cubs, but don't let Juniper hear you say that or else she'd kick your ass.
ABILITIES:
Tier I - Juniper can briefly tap into her mana reserves to cast a very small flame attack. This flame is akin to that of a normal lighter and can only travel up to a distance of 50 feet. The bolt travels at the speed of a rubber band shot from a rubber band gun.
