• Katyusha's story begins way before she was born, during the time that mythical creatures still roamed the earth along by the side with humans. This was during the time when the Veil hadn't even begun, the time when Akina still ruled over the earth with her love and kindness. The Yekatrina family tree had yet to be made, but there was one young man that had begun the curse, something that would only torment the generations to come.
  
  
  Ulysses, who was soon to be referred to as Ulysses Yekatrina, was a young and foolish man. With outstanding skill in the art of war, his hair was dyed red with the bloodshed of his enemies and the innocent people that were killed. His name was known and feared all throughout the world, just a single mutter of it could strike fear into one's heart. He was an utter monster. The gods and goddesses had to only stand back and watch as their people were slaughtered by Ulysses and his ever so growing army, he was on the biggest reasons why the Veil was put up in the first place.
  
  
  Although, Ulysses didn't even hold sympathy for his own kind, he had gotten the nickname Lord Death. This offended the god Adran, for he was the true God of Death. Ulysses even went as far to say that he had caused all the deaths in this world, which hit hard with the ghosts of Amsiel. The gods and goddesses finally had enough with this mortal's little mocking game. Adran and Amsiel plotted together to curse Ulysses, using a dark magic that would effect many generations to come.
  
  
  It was a horrible curse, it started when Akina created the Veil. Since this was about the time when Ulysses had children, Amsiel and Adran forced the curse upon them all. The ability to see behind the Veil. (Author's Note: I should get an award for that title reference. Lol) Because no one else could see behind the Veil, the family of Ulysses was said to all be insane. And with the encouragement of their peers, Ulysses had gone insane. He kidnapped two children from each family and tortured them mercilessly, which is how he got his last name.
  
  
  Yekatrina; The Russian form of Katherine, which was derived from Hecate, as it could be related to the Greek word ?????, meaning torture. It was a humiliating last name, but in future generations, many replaced it with pure instead.
  
  
  As the generations went on, the curse began to fade away little by little, but it was always there. When the Veil was torn down and the creatures were forced to disguise themselves as humans, the direct descendants of Ulysses Yekatrina were still able to see the true forms of these creatures. Although, they were only flashes, most waved this off as illusions of the light or fatigue.

  On August twenty-first, nineteen ninety-two, a direct descendant of Ulysses was born to an old couple; Alyona Yekatrina nee Braginski and Atur Yekatrina. For many years these two have tried to have a child with no avail, until Katyusha appeared. At the age forty-nine, Alyona gave birth to a beautiful and healthy little girl. Were they not too old to raise a baby? Although it was difficult, Alyona and Atur loved their little girl endlessly.
  
  
  Crying. As an infant, Katyusha would cry endlessly through the night, keeping the neighborhood up and gaining many complaints. There wasn't anything wrong with Katyusha, her parents had even brought her to a doctor to see what was happening. But, there was nothing. Every night, Katyusha was tormented by images of horrid creatures. At the age of three, Alyona and Artur brought their child to a psychologist, worrying about the possibility that their only child was insane. But, the tests came out clear. Katyusha was perfectly right in the head.
  
  
  As she grew up, Katyusha learned that it would be best not to speak about her ability and flashes of seeing people around her as different creatures. She tucked it away and made herself believe it was just a trick of the light. In school, Katyusha showed her talent in her education, always finding her way up into the top ten. But, something was holding Katyusha back, her own mind. At the age of ten, Katyusha knew that what she was seeing was real, but after trying to tell her parents, they did not believe her.
  
  
  Highschool, is that not the time when you would complain about homework and hang out with friends. Through her years in highschool, Katyusha was offered many scholarships and awards for her academic achievements. But, she didn't have many friends. Then she met a rather peculiar freshman by the name of Noelani. This was during Katyusha's last year of highschool, there was a four year difference between Noelani and Katyusha.
  
  
  Noelani and Katyusha met on the first day, Katyusha was taking part of a senior tutoring program. She had to welcome Noelani to the school and help her around. At first, Katyusha thought that all of this was bothersome and annoying. But, Noelani's cheerful attitude and naive sayings really hit home with Katyusha. The senior soon warmed up to Noelani, going as far as sharing secrets with one another. But, Katyusha never told Noelani about her little...ability. Then again, Noelani never told Katyusha abotu her own tiny...condition.
  
  
  Then, Katyusha found out. When Noelani had been swimming in a private pool, Katyusha saw a clear image of Noelani's true appearance. Creatures had been appearing lately and the government deemed them all dangerous. Overwhelmed with hurt and betrayal, Katyusha reported her best and only friend to the government.
  
  
  Four years later, Katyusha worked under the Supernatural branch, secretly using her ability to catch and prison creatures. She has yet to come across Noelani, for this branch of the government was large, although hidden at the same time. Although, deep underneath Katyusha's bitterness and denial, is guilt and regret.
• A rather calm and serious young woman, Katyusha has wasted her youth by growing up too fast, learning the dark secrets the government hides away from the public's knowledge. Solemn and appearing cold-hearted, Katyusha takes her work seriously and will complete tasks quickly and efficiently, a habit that allowed her to receive promotion after promotion. In a high position of the Supernatural Branch, Katyusha is known to be very strict and will not tolerate any mischief. In high stress situations, Katyusha easily takes control of the problem and can rationally come up of a proper way to deal with the nuisance. It's very difficult for Katyusha to smile, after working in such a dark environment, she doesn't even try to be cheerful anymore.
  
  
  Although Katyusha may not be the greatest leader, she has the true charisma of one. With the ability to motivate the people around her to do better, just because Katyusha does not have hope in humanity, doesn't mean she can inspire others. When people see Katyusha's hard working attitude and focused expression, they would either gossip about her or look up to the young woman.
  
  
  Not easily angered, Katyusha is quite mellow and rational when thinking and taking action, she won't allow her emotions to get in the way of her thoughts, she doesn't want another person to end up like Noelani. Katyusha knows that you should never, "Follow your heart." For one, your heart is a organ that pumps blood through your body. For two, emotions are just chemicals in your brain. Feelings often get in the way of your thinking and cause you to do and say things that you will regret sooner or later. Katyusha is not willing to risk another person's life because of her mistake, she already learned from Noelani. When you are at a high position, responsibilities will pour on, everyone is watching you, even your choice of shoes could affect someone's life. Katyusha knew this all too well, experience and her own mistakes revealed this to her.
  
  
  People often see Katyusha as a strong individual, and she really is. But no one can stay sturdy forever, everyone has those low points in life. Katyusha does break down once in awhile, crying herself to sleep as she ponders upon all the horrid mistakes she had done through her lifetime, even the possibilities of the mistakes she would make in the future. But, before this, Katyusha will go through a stage of denial, refusing to accept such an event. Overall, Katyusha will cover her emotions with a cold and expressionless mask, which is the reason why she's prone to such emotional breakdowns.
  
  
  But, Katyusha's just human. She's still young and foolish. Foolish enough to believe that mankind should be the only kind of race on this earth. When she found out about Noelani's little secret, Katyusha felt extremely betrayed, fooled, played. Joining the government out of spite, humans will often cover their sin with rationality. Trying to convince themselves that what they did was for the better good, and it was necessary. Arguing within themselves, after all, Katyusha is only human.

  Noelani//: Classmates. Katyusha and Noelani used to be the best of friends in highschool, everyone knew that the two were practically inseparable. Even if they were apart, they would always be texting or calling one another. They kept nothing from one another. Well, almost nothing. Noelani was a mermaid. A rather huge secret, yes? After graduating before Noelani, Katyusha went off to work for the government and then she found out about Noelani's "little" secret. Inflicted with betrayal and hurt, Katyusha foolishly reported Noelani to the government. A year later, they met in the prison cells. Noelani behind the bars, and Katyusha staring inside of it.
  
  
  Athalia Crimson//: Acquaintances/Co-Workers. These two young women met during their time working with the government. Often found drinking coffee or tea with one another during their synchronized breaks, Katyusha can still remember when Athalia thought she was a man as they had first met. They get along rather well, at first, Katyusha was somewhat annoyed with Athalia's bubbly personality, but she soon warmed up to her. It's a nice contrast between serious and cheerful.

Actually, could I change a few things about my my skelly? I just got this idea, that my character doesn't worship anyone, because when she came to the human world, she saw their complete free will and abilities to rebel, so she started to live independently of the Gods.

That would be fine. Hybrids of any species is fine other then human, since the humans and the creatures were kept separate.

History: Kiamora has been alive for a long time and has seen blood shed from the destruction thrown against the world; she has grown up in Oceanis as a strong warrioress without the help of a family. At the age of 13 years old Kiamora's mother had tragically died from protecting Kiamora when they were on land, her mother had managed to kill the demon that was trying to kill them but she had also gained a fatal wound that caused her to bleed out to death. With that Kiamora had ran back into the ocean her little sister and her mother's body that soon disappeared and reconnected to the ocean. When she was 26 years old her 22 year old sister had gone back on land despite her last horrible memories, she had gotten into trouble and by the time Kiamora had gone to land to bring her back, her sister had vanished and Kiamora wasn't able to find her for over 50 years but then she finally found her on the other side of the world... dead and torn to shreds, her flesh was still there because her body hadn't been brought back to the ocean so Kia returned her sister's body to the ocean herself. Her father was mentally unstable from the loss two of his most important family members and soon he lost the respect of Kiamora for his condition, a mermaid/merman that couldn't protect himself was no good; he ended up dissolving into the ocean when Kiamora was 127 years old and she was left alone but in all truth she felt as if she had been alone the day her sister had been missing.


Personality: Kia is emotionally distant with a strong wall over her heart that's been shaking and ready for when Kiamora broke down for the 5th time in her life. She has a lot of moments when she is looking off in the distant but when she isn't doing that she's laughing a laugh that is a bit empty, she's smiling a smile that reflects the sun but isn't nearly as bright, her eyes shine with pain and loss. Kiamora is energetic with a strong will to protect anyone she considers a friend even if their relationship is smaller then a grain of rice.


Other: She always carries around a necklace that her little sister use to always carry around in representation of the ocean
