Sexuality:
Zare has little reason to fall for beauty or appearance in general, and tends to instead have his own things he considers attractive. Many of these are concerning personality, but can also be things such as tone, touch and even scent or the subtleties of their aura he tends to pick up on. Gender doesn't seem to concern him too much either, as he prefers personality over such things. Still, despite his outgoing and friendly demeanour, he doesn't seem to quite get close to many people. There appears to still a deep seated idea that his eyes are off-putting, and no matter how friendly he is or stylish he gets, he isn't favourable because of it.​
Full description:
Despite being born completely blind, Zare's personality is anything but reserved. Relentlessly curious, especially about people, he has done anything in his power to make friends wherever he goes and to get to know everyone he meets. For never having seen himself, he has an awful good sense of style and being presentable. Most of it is trial and error, and covert asking for other people's opinions of what does and doesn't look good.
Obviously Zare can't do everything people that can properly see can do though; he has no clue what people look like, or what expressions they are making. Because of this, he tends to express himself with both touches and sounds a lot, moreso than with his face. Personal space tends to be a thing he often forgets, even if he is aware people enjoy it, to him it just feels better when he is in range to sense their presence.

Behind this very bubbly and excited exterior however he also deeply relies on people. Although he isn't necessarily completely dependent on people for everything, he gets afraid easily when he is without company. Without someone with him, he only tends to take short trips to places he knows inside out. If someone were to leave him alone in a place he didn't know, especially ones that are empty and where his aura cannot help him out it wouldn't take much for him to panic.​

AURA, SEMBLANCE AND WEAPON

Without sight, people usually believe Zare to be incompetent or helpless, but this would be plain wrong. His kind of blindness is particularly interesting, as he is completely unable to process anything related to sight: it is not merely his eyes not functioning. There is simply nothing inside of him that could or would ever see. It would be like teaching a fish to walk. Instead, his body has adapted a different sense altogether by allocating his unused functions to be tuned in completely to his aura. Instead of sight, he possesses the ability to sense anything that moves within a specific range of him. However, this only pertains to moving entities.
People, trees, animals and things such as moving technology or flowing water are all 'visible' to him, but only when they move. He is still very much blind, but this allows him to somewhat work with his surroundings nonetheless and be much more capable than people would believe. In some ways this sense works better than sight: because he is unable to see still objects, hiding behind them won't be possible. Then again, he has walked into walls and closed doors with such frequency it's embarrassing.

Zare's semblance is what he refers to as his true 'Sight': it allows him to mark targets, which will then be tracked and traced. There are no range limits to this, only a time limit. Whether you manage to get to the other side of the universe, if Zare has his Sight on you, he will find you. The time duration however gets shorter with every additional target he marks or when he loses his focus on the target at hand. For one target, as long as he is determined to find them, it technically lasts indefinitely.
If he concentrates really hard, Zare will be able to detect changes in status to that which he has in Sight. Things such as whether they are wounded or not, tired or not, or in any other way weakened. Once the target is within range of his aura, it can even tell him where to deal the finishing blow. In truth, Zare was never weak, or helpless, or frail: pray he does not see you, for there is no god that can help you once he does.

STARHUNTER

Starhunter is mainly a dust weapon and it has two forms:

Star Shape

This is Starhunter's usual form, and it seems unimpressive compared to the massive weapons most have. It sits around Zare's fingers, making them appear like grotesque and razor sharp claws. In this form it is fine tuned to his aura range, as that is the range in which he is able to sense motion. Whichever comes close to him will either be torn to shreds by the claws, or by many smaller air dust projectiles he can send from his fingertips once every now and then.
The smaller projectiles, although not very damaging, aren't linear. This can throw many people off guard as they more or less twist and turn in their direction. Often they won't hit, but once one does it is not so much the projectile they need to worry about, as much as Zare knowing the path it travelled, and subsequently the path to his prey.

Hunter Form
In this form, Starhunter is akin to a massive sniper rifle. It only has one shot made with lightning dust crystals. As unimpressive as Zare's wind dust shots are within close range, this 'hunter' shot is possibly one of the most powerful ones that can be wielded by a single person. It tears through anything but the earth itself.
With Zare's Sight, no scope is needed. And as to him there is nothing between him and the target before, so it will be once he has pulled the trigger for everyone else. There is little that would survive such a thing, but the price is massive as well. Foremost, the shot has a gigantic recoil, that would effectively render Zare useless afterwards regardless. On top of this, the release of such huge amounts of electricity obviously linger, making every piece of metal near it static. If Zare is within a building or near metal, retrieving him would be increasingly complicated.​

ORIGIN
Being born blind was never a big deal for Zare, he didn't know better after all. To him, this little dark world of his was quite alright. There were parents that loved him, sounds and scents and tastes and touches. Even if it was dark, it was never empty. But that didn't seem to be enough: as he grew, this close, kind world of his slowly widened with the knowledge of what he did miss. Things like colours, reading, the sight of others, and the sight of himself.
Finally, this sense of missing was implanted in him, when he couldn't quite follow the others. He was different, he was the one that was missing all these things, not so much as that the world was empty. But even with technology, there was nothing to fix that: doctor after doctor looked at his case with grand promises of improvement. Only to find out that there truly wasn't anything to improve upon, it wasn't that he was faulty, so much as that he was lacking.

Zare cannot see, and never will see. But hell if he didn't try, again and again, hoping that perhaps if he just wanted it enough that next time something had changed and then the doctor could do something for him. Yet the more effort he put into it, the smaller his world got. Even though he knew the real world was big and vast, it only made his own world tiny and confined. He didn't have that many friends, having difficulty coping with their expectations, and the less friends he had, the less reason he had to go outside.
Inside was boring though, inside was just the same over and over. Dull and trite and oh so safe. But why would he want to even be safe, if there was so little around him to stay safe for? It was maddening, his mind confined to the expectation that he was in one way or another less, that there was a part of him empty that shouldn't be. And slowly but surely instead of wishing he could see, he wishes he could tear his eyes out instead and just get rid of it all, the expectations with it.

One day, a patter of rain lured him outside. He didn't quite know why anymore, perhaps there was truly nothing left inside that he could stay for. The rain however, called to him in a sense he could understand. The cold droplets on his face soon streaming down his skin, the small sounds coming together in chaotic harmony, and that deeply comforting scent of washed away dirt.
He didn't need to see, didn't want to see. Sight meant missing, meant being amiss. And as he stepped forward, he expected in every moment to find the end of the world there, empty as it was beyond. Still each time he found more, new things to explore. Carefully, attentively.
The moment his mind finally cast off the shackles of sight, he found himself attuned to the world in such a different way, his own way. It frightened him at first, just like that first step outside, but soon he found it comforting to explore this odd sense that nobody ever seemed to mention. Whenever the world stirred, he knew, he didn't know yet what he knew, and just like no one had been able to make him see, no one but him was able to make sense of this new perception.

His terror was replaced by curiosity. At first he searched for people like him, but soon enough anyone would do: everyone he met was always new and different. And because they were new and different, it meant new and different places to go. One could say that Zare had become outgoing.

Now, a few years later, most wouldn't even suspect that there had been the slightest shred of darkness in him. Sure, it took him a little while to catch up on everyone else, but once he did, it was with nothing less than a bright smile.

She has multiple scars lining along her body that is hidden under her clothing. There is a rather nasty scar on her back thanks to an Ursa attack - three claws raking diagonally. There are others, because of her constant training in her hometown, but none of them as severe as that one.

Personality:
Azura is relatively friendly and helpful. She cares for the people around her and hates to see them in pain. Despite her shyness and nervousness around new people, she can be incredibly empathetic and would tend to help anyone who needs it. However, she is incredibly dense so any romantic gestures towards her would probably be shut down. But, she doesn't seem to be at all interested in it yet. However, her awkwardness is sometimes endearing as she might stumble with her words every now and then. Don't get me wrong, though, as she is confident in herself and her abilities - it's just that socialization sometimes comes hard to her. She's sometimes clumsy, but that's perhaps because she's distracted thinking about something else.

When you see her in battle, however, you might blink once or twice to make sure she's the same person. She becomes calm and calculating. Her every move is measured and thought of ahead of time. She must leave little margins of openings. Having years of training in her tribe made her like this. She seems to talk very little in this time and communicates using gestures and looks. Azura sometimes forgets that others didn't go through the same training she did. Azura is also very scared, even jumps away or acts aggressively, when she is touched in any way. Brushes against her shoulder is fine, but anything else makes her uneasy. This also makes her afraid of crowds.

Weapon:
Mystic Equinox. These are special dust gauntlets and gloves that have been made and maintained by her solely her. While it isn't the first of its kind, she holds it dearly to her heart. The gauntlets are connected to containers of dust underneath her clothing. This is her ammunition. While most would think it would be bulky and heavy, it is actually rather light and flexible as to not restrict her movement. By activating this, the dust would be ejected depending on which dust she chooses to release. She made this weapon so as to support her semblance.

Katana. Azura carries around a katana that was given to her by her father. After all, she cannot completely rely on her semblance because her aura might deplete if she constantly relied on it. And so, she uses her katana frequently when in battles against the Grimm and others. She uses it in tandem with her usage of dust.

Semblance:
Dust Manipulation. Despite what others might think as it means that constantly using it would mean that it would be extremely detrimental to her aura, it actually isn't. It only takes a minimal amount of aura per usage, and its versatility is great as it can be used widely as far as the imagination of the user wills it. However, as it is part of the fighting style of Azura, it also means that it chips off her aura bit by bit, making it imperative for her to quickly dodge attacks lest she get taken out easily. Though versatile in usage, the fact that Dust must be in mineral/powder form means that she cannot possibly control a dust already used. She hasn't learned it yet, but she can activate dust from a distance. Through training, it might be achieved, but she is a long way from that point.

Bio:
Azura was born in a small village outside of Vale named Yashima - inside the forests and hidden from the sight of others. This village thrived. With peace, calmness and equality - the village rarely caught the sight of the Grimm. Of course, this didn't mean that none of them were trained - in fact, all of them were trained in the arts of fighting just in case the Grimm would attack. Humans and Faunus lived peacefully with each other within this village. At a young age, her semblance was unlocked and then started training. This started when she was only eight years old. Her parents were very supportive of her as she trained. There were around five of them who were training - all of them got along very well. The five exchanged dreams and aspirations. Three of them, Azura included, wanted to become huntsmen and huntresses while the remaining two were planning on staying in the village and working there.

Of course, they weren't restricted to waiting inside the village. No, they were allowed to go into Vale whenever they please - with adult supervision of course. Azura had created acquaintances there but only a few people she actually managed to recognize after all this time. Shopkeepers mostly. Her parents were members of the White Fang before Sienna Khan had stepped into power. They were loyal followers of Ghira Belladona, but still got along with the humans flawlessly. When Sienna Khan got her power, and Adam Taurus controlling Vale's area, they pulled out and denied every attempt for the White Fang to connect back to them.

All was well, up until their village was found by a bunch of bandits. Though they weren't much trouble, the amount of fighting had caused the Grimm to be attracted to the village. There had been a great number of Grimm, and despite all of them being trained, they were sadly being driven out bit by bit. Azura, aged twelve, and her fellow students had been separated from everyone else in the chaos. Scared and alone, the teens were soon outnumbered and overpowered. They had been fighting endlessly, two of them had died and the other two were gravely injured - leaving Azura alone to fend for them. After what seemed like an eternity to her, an Ursa Major managed to injure her. Everything went to black after that.

She woke up in Vale, being treated. Apparently, Huntsmen and Huntresses had come to aid the village in their time of need but had been late. They only managed to save six of the villagers - Azura, her two dying friends and three adults who were close to dying by the time they arrived. Azura didn't find her parents there, nor her younger brother. One of the huntsmen had taken her in. With nothing else for her, she still expressed interest in becoming a huntress. She enrolled in Beacon with the help of the hunstman who had given her a house. Despite everything she has been through, Azura still stayed the same. Because of her training, she had managed to pass with flying colors. Her village's training is still engraved within her mind - as is with their silent communication which caused her to not work well with others at first. She is learning how to verbally communicate while fighting with others - a skill that she had forgotten overtime.

- The training she has undergone is rather similar to that of a traditional ninja - only umped up because of the allowance given by their increase durability and reflexes thanks to aura.
- As a faunus, and one of the cat family at that, she has heightened senses and can see well in the dark - as does her animal side is known to be good for.
- She keeps a photo of her family on her person all the time, and can be seen staring at it when she has nothing else to do and is alone.
- She's been known to be rather good in tracking down scents and the likes.

They say that if you don't have a mom friend, you are the mom friend, and Rowan definitely fills that category with most relationships. He's a gentle, caring person who will try to take care of others to the point of injuring himself just to make sure that all of his friends are happy. This may just be a crude way of making up for the fact that he has cripplingly slow self esteem; though he may not believe that he has any worth in the world, that doesn't mean that other's need to feel the same way, right? He'll do his best to help them feel alright. If he sees two people fighting, he'll normally try to intervene between the two of them. Sparring can be fun, but it's no fun when fists start flying in anger.

The way he talks is very formal, which he attributes to being raised in an upper class family... Though there was no expectation for him to act like this, he just sort of does. Even his parents are a tad confused and wonder where he picked up the habit.

BACKGROUND

History
Rowan was born to a Faunus and Human couple in Atlas. Both his parents had come from rich families, which had ensured that he had a comfortable uprising. From a young age, before he had even unlocked his Aura, he was trained to become a Huntsman- he can't remember whether his parents wanted this or if he begged them to let him train, but he's stuck with that up until now. He enjoys it well enough.

He had trouble with the other kids during elementary school, due to his Faunus heritage. It's probably the most unpleasant thing that he can remember about growing up- the stigma against his race. Though he's not aware of it, this is most likely the cause of his aversion to being touched. He was thankful when, at the age of eleven, he saw that his baby sister had been born Human instead of Faunus.

For reasons unknown to him, his family moved to Menagerie two years ago. His sister and father certainly stood out in the predominately Faunus populace, but it gave them a more peaceful life. Despite this, Rowan missed Atlas.

And despite missing Atlas, he's still chosen to go to Beacon instead.

Chloe-Sarah-Grace grew up in a family surrounded by poverty, money being something that she never had the pleasure of having a lot of. She knows the way of the drug trade, she's been in enough run- ins with dealers and the police.

Determined to keep the drug income flowing, after many dealers got jailed, she barged into a police station and started shooting and killing every cop she could. Sure, she got heavily wounded but she was as drugged up as a motherfucker. After barely getting away, she got her drug stashes and fled. Fled far.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personality: Yuna is a fairly nervous person, and prefers to speak with her blade rather than with words. She is a poor conversationalist with a tendency to make situations even more awkward than they already are, leading to her unwillingness to engage in conversation unless absolutely necessary. In some cases, her anxiety over something might cause her to be distracted everything that she does.
Despite this, she is capable of putting aside her nerves in battle. She becomes extremely concentrated, almost having a one-track mind. In some occasions, she gets tunnel vision and her awareness of everything around her decreases.

Physical Description: Yuna has dark purple-blue hair that’s perpetually tied up with a teal ribbon. She rarely keeps it down because it’ll get in the way, or so she claims. Her eyes are nearly the same colour as her hair--something that causes people to question her, thinking that she is wearing coloured contact lenses. She is fairly slender and doesn’t appear to have any other notable physical features, although her arms are faintly scarred from learning how to use her chain whip properly without whacking herself.

Likes:
  • Snow -- she hasn’t seen much snow, but the few times that she did see it, she thought that it looked beautiful.
  • Tea -- unfortunately, she’s somewhat a tea addict. A likely cause for sleep deprivation on several occasions.
  • Training -- it’s a repetitive constant in her life that helps to keep her grounded.
  • Stars -- some nights, when it’s peaceful, she likes to watch the stars and contemplate life.
  • People Watching -- there isn’t really any reason for this, but she likes observing people and their mannerisms.
Dislikes:
  • Spicy food -- she has a low tolerance for spicy food and breathes like a retarded dragon after eating something spicy
  • Current White Fang -- although she doesn't dislike the Faunus or the old White Fang, she feels that the current White Fang (especially its leaders) is too violent and has gone too far.
  • Powdered form of dust -- it always makes her sneeze, which causes explosions. AKA, the reason that she doesn’t really like using dust.
  • Apples -- they say that an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but not if you’re allergic to apples.
  • Arrogant people -- she thinks that they should learn to be more humble, and doesn’t understand why they feel the need to act like they’re above everyone else.
Sexual Orientation: She thinks she’s heterosexual, but doesn’t really know.

History: Yuna was born near the outskirts of Vale to a family of Hunters and Huntresses. This family was not well known by name, but their actions against the Grimm did not go unrecognized. Growing up, Yuna was taught that humanity was the last line of defense against the Grimm, and that she would be one of the defenders who would help protect the world. Thus, her training began when she was very young. At the age of seven, her semblance--one that she had inherited from her mother--was unlocked. And so, her training began.
As her family had a rather traditional viewpoint on weaponry, she did not train with firearms of any sort. Instead, she trained with swords. Of course, she did not use a real sword at first, because that would be far too dangerous. As she became better at using a sword, her grandfather, a master Hunter who had retired due to old age, taught her how to wield a chain whip. At first, she completely failed and ended up knocking herself unconscious. Compared to most others, she had a relatively idyllic childhood. She wasn’t put in a near death situation at the claws of a Grimm, or left orphaned. And thus, at the age of 17, she enrolled in Beacon.

Weapons:
Lei. A chain whip that is lighter than it looks (although she does have a heavier one to practice with). It’s about 3 feet long, and designed in the traditional method with nine sections. The tip is somewhat blunted, meaning it is incapable of stabbing through something unless a ridiculous amount of force is applied (which is implausible), but being hit by the tip will definitely hurt.

Dao Sword. A simple dao sword. Other than being really hard to break, it’s nothing special.

Semblance: Gravity Manipulation
Yuna can change the gravity of anything she’s made physical contact with within 30 seconds of activating her semblance. Due to not having trained her semblance as much as she should have, she can only maintain her semblance on other objects for 30 seconds, or less if she changes the gravity multiple times. She can only manipulate things within three feet of her, and when she activates her semblance her symbol appears under her feet (size depends on how large the range she’s using it in is). She is also capable of manipulating her own gravity (which is far less exhausting). She doesn’t really feel any drawbacks while the semblance is activated. When she stops using it, she feels physical fatigue and her mind becomes somewhat clouded (depending on how long she used the semblance), making it hard for her continue a battle. She prefers to only use it if she’s really desperate.

Semblance: Phase

Cobalt can phase into another reality of sorts, where he can move without being able to harm, or be harmed. He doesn’t gain speed or time slowing abilities, this just allows him to move from one spot to another without being in danger. Although he’s invisible during this, there’s a mist of blue that follows him when he moves, so it’s difficult for him to sneak around with it. Although this ability doesn't strain Cobalt at all, it's still difficult to use it more than once or twice in a day.



Bio: Coming from Vale in a diplomatic family, Cobalt was the first in his line of ancestors to stray from politics and go into hunting. He made quick work adapting to different fighting styles and techniques, with spears being his favorite. He’s taken on a few hunting missions for smaller villages, but decided to earn the right to be called a hunter by signing up for Beacon Academy. The Alizarin family has always had an affinity for honor and hard work, and Cobalt is a shining example of what that title carries. Fiercely protective over teammates and willingness to put others lives above his own make Cobalt an excellent partner.


Origin:


As said before, Cobalt comes from a rather wealthy family of diplomats. From an early age he was raised to join the family tradition, although his tendencies lead to concerns from his family. When he was ten, he witnessed a group of Hunters from Beacon Academy, drawn to their looks, weapons, and the way they carried themselves with such pride. Not arrogance or snobbish, they were simply proud of their work - and that’s exactly what made up Cobalt’s mind to become a Hunter.

Although never taking any classes prior to 13, Cobalt became a natural at fighting with polarms such as halberds, tridents and scythes. Although his favorite quickly became a fishing spear, which he eventually modified with his wealth into a harpoon gun, which could be transferred on command. Cobalt managed to plead his family into purchasing a training mentor at this time, which allowed him to catch up to some of the other students who had prior training. Cobalt worked day and night to be like the people he saw that day, learning as much as he could about them. Fighting Grimm and saving the world seemed to be a job made for him, and Cobalt was ready for the challenge.

He eventually decided he was ready for the task, even though he hadn’t gone to Beacon or any other school yet. So, he travelled out to one of the nearby villages and lent his hand in staving off monster and helping those who needed it. This gave him the experience he needed to finally join the tier of people who could one day call themselves Hunters and Huntresses. After learning he was accepted into Beacon, Cobalt dropped everything about his past life - he wouldn’t need it anyway, he would be travelling all over the world. He didn’t need the memories of a rather distant family trying to hold him back.

Beryl is a loving and caring person who will stick up for anyone who can't stick up for themselves, she will always put other peoples happiness above her own but she has trouble asserting herself. She will always apologize for things that aren't necessarily her fault, she is also quiet and is a great listener. When it comes to new people she is quite shy and tends to hide behind a book but once the first interaction happens she becomes slightly out going and fun loving and sometimes sarcastic.
