She nodded and smiled again. “Absolutely. Soon as she can get down here. We just have to keep a close eye on him and help him continue developing until he’s ready to go home. He’s gonna be just fine.” She promised, waiting til he got himself ready and helped him get Jake settled against his chest. “Would you like some photos?” She asked him.

Noah looked at the baby in awe and gave a small nod "Yes, yes that would be great." He said softly handing her his phone to get a few photos of them for Carmen.

She took a few for him and then placed his phone on the table. “If you need anything there’s a call button just over here but you are free to stay here as long as you like. It’s really good for him and you.” She told him and finally left him to some privacy.

Noah looked down at the baby in his arms and gave a small smile "Hey little buddy, I'm your dad. And that little guy over there is your brother. Tomorrow you get to meet your momma, oh you're so lucky to have her. She's gonna love you so much." He told him quietly just resting there for a while until he finally got up and went to be with Carmen.

She woke up a little when she heard him in the room, reaching for him to come closer, “did you get some cuddles?” She asked him quietly, “oh, the dogs. Is someone watching them?” She asked him worried, “And they said I should start walking around here soon, wanna give me a hand?” She asked him.

Noah frowned a bit and nodded some "Yeah I got your brother looking after them for now." He said softly before taking her hand in his "He's so tiny." He said quietly before pulling out his phone to show her the pictures the nurse took of them.

She looked over them carefully, holding onto his hand tightly. “Once I’ve walked you should get some sleep.” She told him, reaching up to cup his face. “We’re gonna be alright. I’m sure all three of us are gonna be fine. Just need to get over this first bit. We’ll be home before you know it.” She told him quietly, moving carefully to just cuddle with him again, needing the comfort of having him there and noticing he was being pretty clingy as well.

Noah gave a small nod and cuddled her the best he could. By the next morning he was up and on his second cup of coffee when Carmen got up "Hey, they said you're doing real good. You can go see them if you want." He explained quietly.

She nodded tiredly, reaching for him to come closer. “Do you need to go home to get a change of clothes or anything?” She asked him, waiting for about forty minutes for them to come and sort her out so that she could go see her babies.

Noah shook his head and gave a small smile "I got Nick going to get the bag today." He said softly before yawning a bit. He smiled when they told her she could see the babies and helped her out of bed and into the wheelchair "Alright come on missy, lets go see our boys."

She smiled a little, reaching up behind her to place her hand on Noah’s. “We make a good team.” She reminded him, referring to their conversation a few months ago when his anxiety was getting bad in the first place.

Noah nodded smiling down at her "Yeah we do." He said softly before he helped push her to the NICU. Once they were there he waved to the nurses and led her in to where the boys are "Here they are beautiful, our boys."

She got up a little slower than she wanted to but went over to see them both and just swallowed back tears as much as she could. “Oh… oh we have waited a very very long time for you.” She told them quietly. “When can we hold Sebastian?” She asked quietly, getting sat down in the big chair so that she could finally hold Jake, thanking Noah when he helped her and finally sat there holding him to her chest gently, “Noah they’re here.” She cried happily.

Noah nodded happily letting a few tears fall as he watched them "Yeah, they're here." He said happily before kissing her temple gently "And you did such a fantastic job." He said softly before glancing over at Sebastian "We uh, I don't know yet. They were saying maybe a month, it just depends."

she nodded and frowned a little. “I can’t promise that I’ll be patient but the most important thing to me is that he gets strong enough to come home. So whatever he needs.” She told him quietly, gently stroking Jake’s head with her thumb. “They’ve both got your eyes.” She smiled a little. “I think we can make the announcement now.” She murmured, gently rocking in the chair while she held their son to her carefully. “What uh… do we know if I can feed them or how is it gonna work?” She asked.

Noah chuckled softly kissing her cheek gently "You think so? I think he has your cute little nose." He said pointing to Jake some frowning a little "I dunno, let me go ask a nurse. I'm sure you can probably feed him." He said softly before stepping out to grab a nurse for them.

She smiled and just watched them both quietly, reaching for her phone to call Josh. “Hey, thanks for watching the puppies…. When do you wanna come meet your nephews?” She smiled tiredly.

Josh gave a small smile "They're here huh? Well I guess whenever you're feeling up for visitors." He said softly while he sat on their couch with the dogs "Are you okay? Are they okay?"

She sighed quietly and frowned a little. “Yeah I’m alright, just tired and sore. Noah’s been holding things together real well for us. Uh… Jake is doing real good. Hes enjoying some cuddles right now… Sebastian is not doing so great. There’s a problem with his heart. We don’t know much more right now. But you can come down from tomorrow they said.” She told him

Josh nodded some and sighed softly "Alright well I hope he's okay. I'll be there tomorrow to see you." He said talking to her for only a few more minutes before hanging up.

Noah came back in with a nurse smiling some at her "Hey, I got a nurse to come help. She said you can definitely try feeding Jake, but Sebastian is going to have to be formula for the most part."

She nodded and yawned a little. “Can you play nice for an hour tomorrow? Josh is gonna come down to meet them. And then after that we can have Nick and Nadine.” She told him while she got to working with the nurse to be able to feed Jake.

She knew that despite all her best efforts, Josh and Noah could hardly stand each others presence for more than ten minutes but he was the only family she had and she didn’t want to let go. The problem was that she refused to see his flaws of which there were many and Josh had always taken advantage of that.

Noah gave a heavy sigh but nodded "I promise to play nice." He murmured watching her happily as she tried to feed Jake. "Is he doing okay?" He asked her hoping that she could atleast be able to bond with Jake that way, because he knew she had been really wantinh to atleast try breastfeeding.

She frowned a little, muttering under her breath until they finally got there and she sighed quietly, relaxing then. “Yeah he got it.” She smiled at him, about to ask him to go get himself something to eat that wasn’t a chocolate bar when a doctor walked in looking quite serious.

Noah looked over at the doctor frowning at how serious he looked "Hey Doc, everything okay?" He asked quietly while he moved to stand behind Carmen.

carmen leaned back with her head against him while she had her hands full. She listened intently, feeling sick as he explained to them that Sebastian had two separate problems with his heart that needed to be treated as soon as possible and that they would like to get him into surgery first thing tomorrow morning to correct the problem with his aorta.
