[SIZE= 12px]Born into a family of mechanics, Ayla enjoyed tinkering and playing with tools when she was young. Her father, a repairman for the hover-trains, taught Ayla everything that he knew. During her high school years, she got a part-time job in the same company her father worked in, repairing the hover-trains alongside him. In the middle of her junior year, however, she received a letter from the Terr-Magna Academy, invited her to the program. Excited, Ayla and her father worked extra hard to scrape together money to pay for the tuition. Ayla went into the Engineering division, learning more about mechanics than she had before. Graduating the academy in the top 500, Ayla was recognized as one of the more profound mechanics around. She served 3 years as a field mechanic to a number of different squads, all of them coming home alive. After her 3rd year, she was offered the position of head mechanic and instructor, which she gladly accepted. Now, she spend her days at the academy, teaching new cadets and servicing the equipment used by the academy. Every now and then, she is sent into the field, but it is rare[/SIZE]
