CS rules

1. Original characters only. No characters from anime, books, or real life religion. You can take some inspiration, but not to the point of plagiarising. Same goes for powers.
2. Faceclaims should be art and cannot be popular characters. If they are easily recognizable then they cannot be used. If it's some obscure game that most people don't know, it is fine but rule no. 1 still applies.
3. Banned domains: time, reality, knowledge, and anything that is too all-encompassing. Will add to this list as necessary.
4. The maximum number of domains is 4, with 1 major domain and up to 3 minor domains. Minor domains are meant to contextualise the major domain and give your character a unique flare. They support the main domain and should be as specific and narrow as possible.
5. Try not to take several BIG domains at once. This is highly case-by-case basis, but an example would be “God of Life, death, war and peace”.

• Personality
  Naive, immature, carefree. The War stole these from her. Tes-Nenet lives as an echo of the goddess she once was. While she encourages the imagination and curiosity of children, Tes-Nenet has been forced to confront the world as it really is. She still feels love for all the world’s creatures, as well as the gods regardless of their allegiances. However, that love has become muted in expression, doing kind acts where she can but keeping herself safe from connecting too closely.
  
  Tes-Nenet has a deep love of children, constantly preparing games and treats for any child lost and afraid in the forest. Tes-Nenet often says that the wonder in children’s eyes is all the worship she needs, and as such is not entirely bothered by losing the majority of her power. But inside, what she doesn’t tell anyone, is that she mourns the love of all living creatures. She does not miss the power but the missing shared love of life makes Tes-Nenet deeply sad.
  
  Tes is very maternal in her treatment of others. She tries her best to care for those around her physically and emotionally. This can sometimes clash with her corruption that has sapped much of her physical energy. Tes-Nenet loves to play but might only be able to play for a few minutes at a time before needing to rest.

  Tes-Nenet deeply fears the ambition mortals strive for. She does not fear the inquisition itself, but is worried about its affect on innocent worshippers taught to fear and hate what they do not understand.

  Once, there were dozens of symbols around the world that were used in her worship, though many of those have since been lost to history. Her current symbols are:

  Status of Worshippers
  Many of Tes-Nenets worshippers are children and leave her worship as they grow up. As such, her worshippers are seen as misguided and only in need of "educating" by any means necessary.
  
  General Mortal Reputation
  Tes-Nenet is commonly known around any settlement that borders the Rosewood Forest. Children are warned of her presence and she is often hunted by the inquisition. Children, however, rarely care what their parents think and sometimes brave the forest to find her or become too lost and she finds them. Any child that finds themselves in her care are entranced by the natural beauty and the wondrous games she plays until it is time for her to guide them home. While many adults grow out of her love, the adoration of children is all Tes-Nenet needs.

  • Return Life
    
    • Tes-Nenet places her hands over any wound caused by a mortal creature, that wound becomes covered in vines and heals over time depending on the severity of the wound. Cuts and bruises can heal in seconds, life-threatening injuries may take days. Typically, a wound will heal in a matter of hours.
    • Tes-Nenet can also do this if the wound was caused by an immortal creature at the cost of her own vitality, severely draining her energy and worsening her withering effects.
  • Speech of Paw and Leaf
    
    • Tes-Nenet can communicate with animals, though their ability to communicate in return is limited to their intelligence. This does not change the creature's allegiances or goals. A hungry beast is still a hungry beast.
    • Tes-Nenet can convey simple ideas to organic plants and attempt to convince them to act to her will. This is not guaranteed, however.
  • Path of the Old Ways
    
    • Tes-Nenet can manipulate simple materials, such as loose soil, fresh water, or air. This manipulation is not strong enough to cause any significant impact, though it may impress small children.
  
  
  
• Celestial Era
  Tes-Nenet was not the first to walk the planet, but was the one to fill it with brilliant greenery for all to see. The idea for creatures was someone else's, though she forgets whose exactly as without hesitation she expanded the possibility into millions of bugs and birds, fish and mammals.
  
  Millenia passed and the world turned into a cycle, with life and death in harmony. She had disagreed with death at first, unsettled by the sadness that accompanied it and the loss of what she cherished most. It was Udreus, God of the Hunt, that introduced her to hunting. Many animals and the emerging primitive mortals hunted to stay alive, sustaining themselves on those that were deceased. In return, Tes-Nenet introduced Udreus to agriculture and renewable hunting. Together, they strived to show mortals a new way to live.
  Udreus and Tes-Nenet quickly fell in love, hunting together and throwing feasts for mortals and immortals alike. All were invited so long as they complimented the hosts on entry. They seemed to be inseparable, exploring the stars together and making up new games to play together flittered across continents. With more time came Hayati, their child and the new Goddess of Herbalism. She rarely did as she was told, a certain wildness that came from both sides.
  All seemed well in the world.
  
  God War
  The God War was a tragic time for Tes-Nenet. Once, she was blissfully naïve, believing war to be the doings of foolish mortals who had not been taught to communicate. When the war spread between gods and mortals she found it impossible to pick any one side. So Tes-Nenet stood on her own side, healing and rescuing the wounded from danger all the while imploring all sides for peaceful negotiations. She often served side-by-side with Guardian, at that point going by a different name Tes-Nenet no longer uses.
  
  As the Withering reared its ugly head, Udreus was among the first to try and combat it. Without strategy or knowledge of the entity, Udreus was quickly consumed and lost forever. At a similar time, Cyrus had descended into madness and tyranny, attacking any god they saw as a threat. Amidst those gods stood a lonely figure dwarfed by the magnitude of their peers. Cyrus cut them down anyway, easily cleaving Hayati to pieces in the confusion.
  
  Tes-Nenet's world shattered. Partner consumed by darkness, child lost to infighting. For a moment, Tes-Nenet had given up. The world was lost and there was nothing left in it worth saving. Yet something inside her refused to let anybody else die. She worked harder than ever with Utos to try and craft the artefact to clear the Withering. Much of herself was lost in the process, but the deed was done.
  
  In the aftermath of the war, Tes-Nenet found Cyrus bleeding in the rubble and bloodbath. She wanted to hit him. She wanted to scream and cry and hate him with everything she had. But she couldn't. As much as she mourned the friends and loved ones she had lost and all that had been destroyed, some small part of her understood that Cyrus could not have changed it. Hayati's murder was a tragedy she could still barely fathom, but Cyrus was not themselves. They had been corrupted by the Withering and by the desperation of war. Tes-Nenet could not hate the dying Cyrus, but that did not mean she had to love him.
  So she walked away.
  
  Heretical Era
  Tes-Nenet spent a lot of time alone after the war. She made a new home in a forest far from her old home, where the memories would not linger in every crack and crevice. She refused visitors for decades, feeling her power dwindle as her monuments were torn down and her teachings forgotten. That was, until a child in tears walked into her home one afternoon. He had been separated from his friends exploring the forest and it was getting dark. Tes-Nenet fed them the safe mushrooms that grew inside the old tree she resided in. She showed the child some of her dwindling magic, folding small flowers into a crown for himto wear. The look in the boy's eyes was something she had nearly forgotten: Wonder. Joy. Love.
  
  She played with the boy for hours until the sun neared setting and helped walk him home to hisfamily. The boy returned the next day, and the day after that, and every few days for years. She taught him the Old Ways of respecting the world as a brilliant mesh of billions of lives, all worth cherishing and protecting. Time passed and the boy visited less and less, but still came to talk of the important moments. His first love, his first child, his grandchildren. Even when he passed, Tes-Nenet was not sad. A handful of children admired her and her tricks, even if the growing authority of the Inquisition detested it. More than once she was routed from her home by fire and rage. She didn't care how many times she needed to hide from pitchforks if it meant bringing joy to just one more crying child.
  
  As the years passed, "Nanna Tes" was whispered among children as either a scary witch or mythical granter of wishes. Either way, she loved all who who visited her and brought them into her games all the same. Tes-Nenet taught them the Old Ways where she could, as well as all she knew of the gods scattered through the world and their dwindling lives. They promised to pray, and that was all Tes-Nenet needed: a promise.

Severed Heaven​

  Personality:
  Once upon a time, Severed Heaven was a storm of passion, shaping the world around him to his errant whims. If he wished for a challenge, he would go fight a god. If he wished to be worshipped, he would display his power. His Enlightenment was that of complete connection to his basest self; what he desired, he would take. A truly magnificent idiot, complete in his lack of all and any self-regulation. And raucously joyous for it. He is this being no longer.
  
  The war changed him. At first, it was the greatest fun he'd had since Creation. He gorged on the prayers of warriors, the conflict itself fueling him to become one of the mightiest living gods. Then as more and more gods fell to hideous acts, he began to hate it. And by proxy, himself. In some ways, the Withering saved him, giving him a direction to fight in. He was one of the few gods who managed to resist the corruption even while being in prolonged exposure to it, as Severed Heaven wielded his domains in new ways than ever before. Enlightenment to clear his mind and empty his heart of the hatred Corruption brought. War to push back the Corruption, stemming and slowing the tide as the Artifact was created.
  
  And in the process, Severed Heaven changed himself, as one reforges a sword. Gone was the boisterous, joyous god of yesteryear. He stripped himself of that joy, as much as he took from himself hate and fear and arrogance and pride. He cast aside the pain of watching others fall, in this world that sees so much fade. Now he wanders the world in search of his own truth, occasionally intervening in small tragedies that he sees as he goes, and instructing those who would idolize him. But he knows he is fading, and he accepts that. Everything ends. Perhaps it will be his turn soon, to meet the fate he brought so many. Perhaps not.
  
  He lives as he will, either way.

  Fears: Nothing. Truly, nothing. He has entered the void, and severed all attachment that might make him fear. Come the apocalypse or death, he will face it with a quiet smile. He has lived his life to the fullest. What else can he ask for?
  
  Goals: Understand the meaning of mortality and divinity. Live what's left of his life to to the fullest.
  
  Thoughts on the inquisition and anti-divinity:
  Distaste but ultimately serene acceptance. The hate behind the Inquisiton is something that disgusts him now, and the loss of so much to mindless animus is a waste, but ultimately, mortals no longer need the gods. Divinity is not a fundamental necessity for mortalkind. Even after the Gods and their legacies pass from the world, the wheel of ages will turn, and the empire that was so eager to blot out the Gods become dust and ash. And new empires will rise from the ruins, and so the cycle will turn. And perhaps one day, new gods will arise.

  Symbols of worship: A sword, a red palm, a wheel. These are the Icons of Severed Heaven.
  
  Status of worshippers: Secret traditions devoted to the art of the sword, and Severed Heaven's worship, still exist. Old masters preserving ancient techniques and hiding shrines in hidden panels. Soldiers whispering prayers before training, half-remembered rituals being passed on from veterans to raw recruits. They are few and far in-between, but persistent.
  
  General mortal reputation: Severed Heaven is a forbidden source of understanding and martial power. Those whose minds are clouded, who thirst for strength, those who wish for an unquantifiable truth... all these have been known to 'fall' to his worship. A dark and forbidden creature, a bloody god whose disciples often exhibit inexplicable abilities through their worship. That is what he is said to be publically, at least. Those who still worship him, however, know him as a source of martial understanding and a teacher of wisdom.
  
  Unique withering effects (such as memory loss, etc): Magical; he has lost all of his powers save for the might of his sword-arts. Physically, however, he is covered in burn-scars from battling the Corruption, and when he exerts himself, these wounds begin to burn again, giving the air an aroma of smoke and blood.
  
  Current powers: Sword God. While he may have lost many of his other abilities, he still retains an incredible mastery of the arts of war, and the body to match, able to perform nigh-impossible feats of athletics and martial skill.
  Artifact: Sleeping Dragon
  A sword forged by Bari for Severed Heaven, the God of War, during the Godswar. It passes through all materials as if they were water. However, to actually cut, it requires absolute conviction and self-understanding while swinging the blade, otherwise it will simply pass harmlessly through whatever you're attempting to cut. These days, however, it is simply a very strong and very sharp sword.

  CELESTIAL ERA:
  During the Celestial Era, Severed Heaven was known as the "Thunder Riot". A wandering god that roved across the land, taking and doing whatever he wanted. Wooing the most beautiful goddesses, plundering divine treasures, he was a sublime idiot of a god. Much of this was facilitated by his supreme strength, unquestionably powerful even by the standards of the highest divinities. Divine artifacts shattered against his skin, and his ten-thousand swords could bat aside minor gods in their dozens. His wisdom of was that of a singular bent, whose answers to philosophical questions were shaped as a spear is shaped. Simple, and with a sharp point. His worshippers found in him strength they aspired to, and for a long time it was enough. But Severed Heaven would come to ignite something new, a new age... a Darker age.
  
  GOD WAR:
  Severed Heaven was among the mightiest of the Gods, and accordingly, he had mighty rivals. As the sparks of the Godswar flew, Severed Heaven was part of those first few clashes, though even He knows not who struck the first blow. He battled Yr-Sannem, the Lord of Tyranny, all across the continents. They rallied lesser gods to their banners, and clashed. The earth was rent and riven by their power, flame and blade and sorcery scarring the land. And as the Godswar grew, so too did Severed Heaven. For war was his life-blood, his being, and as conflict in the world rose it only fueled his strength. Yr-Sannam forged dark pacts with more and more Great Gods, but Severed Heaven matched them blow for blow. And it wasn't only Yr-Sannam and his allies, but many others, many fronts in an ever-shifting conflict, whose flames only grew higher. He slaughtered may gods during those early days. Among them were Auriora and her massive legions, who challenged Severed Heaven due to him accidentally destroying a few cities while slaying a Leviathan. In the ensuing battle, the war god would lay waste to Auriora's legions and annihilate the unfortunate goddess, before moving on to his next opponent.
  
  It was after Severed Heaven finally slew Yr-Sannam, that he bothered to listen to the emissaries sent by some of the other Gods. Warning of Corruption, some strange and terrible new calamity. He strode forth in prideful arrogance, eager to slay it as he had his rivals, only to find it was a foe he could not kill. He could slaughter the corrupted, God and Mortal alike. He could force it to a halt, his power burning against its spread. But he could not stop it. And he watched in horror as more was tainted and lost, and the world faded, and everything crumbled. Severed Heavens banded together with others against the Corruption, a desperate alliance against a tide of darkness. At last, at long last, his strength was not enough. And so when the Gods' Council was formed, he agreed to bind his divinity. To finally find a victory in a hollow, rotting war. And so the Artifact was forged and an oath struck. And another age passed.
  
  HERETICAL ERA:
  Severed Heaven wandered the world in mortal guise, for a time. No longer the Thunder Riot. He reshaped himself, dampened the flame of passion that had set the world alight. Turned it to ash, and then set that ash upon the wind, and finally... Void. Emptiness. Severed Heaven struck from his heart those things that had brought the world low and found peace in the midst of War. HIs worshippers dwindled. The World turned. The Heavens stood still. On and on, the lights dimmed, and a night set in. And still he wandered and pondered the self, the universe, the void. Then Yolans burned. Severed Heavens had been traveling in the area, and for the first time in an age he roused his war-form, wielding his thousand sword-arts against Shiie alongside the other first responders. Severed Heavens had dwindeled, but not enough that he could not contain and corral her, taking her vengeful blows upon himself. For they were weakening, until they were shades compared to what she once was. It was a strange feeling, truly, watching her fade in front of him. The other Gods would soon arrive after him, but it was no longer necessary.
  
  Shiie was already dying.
  
  Many years would pass. An empire would rise to cull the gods and their worshippers. But his journeys would continue still. But now... now he is called.

  Personality
  Guardian is a husk, a shadow of his former self, a relic of the past used and discarded. Guardian's thoughts are muddy and disorganized only ever focusing on protecting the town. He no longer finds joy in spending time with others when the town could be in danger at any time, he rarely feels anything other than discomfort and pain whenever he raises his sword at the threats before him. Yet even when degraded to such an extent, even when he is as valuable as scrap and dust he remains weirdly optimistic...

  Symbols of worship
  Guardian never explicitly wanted any symbol of worship, yet few under his protection spent the time to make medallions, jewelry, and statues with the key features being a sword and a shield, protection being the most dominant interpretation of Guardian.
  
  Status of worshippers
  Guardian no longer has worshippers, those he once protected have either died or abandoned him and the dragons have lost hope in themselves and their creator only sustaining themselves by the tireless effort of the more energetic younger generation. Guardian however still clings to life thanks to the seeming coincidence that the town he protects considers him a Guardian spirit of sorts which the children sometimes offers bread to.
  
  General mortal reputation
  The concept of Guardian has been forgotten, scrubbed off from the traces of history as the sky islands crated into the lands below. The only thing that remains is what little the inquisition knows, even if it may appear contradicting at times.
  
  Unique withering effects
  When all of Guardians life has been dedicated to protecting whilst the rest of his identity and divinity was rejected and suppressed due to his own worries about them, the withering has taken form in a manner which amplifies this. Guardian has lost most of his self, slowly becoming a creature of sole protection for the sake of it, his rage extinguished, his dominion over the skies clipped, and his hope dimmed. His memory fades too even to the point of having forgotten his own true name, for it did not serve a purpose in the past when the entirety of his believed existence was to be a Guardian.
  
  Guardian also seems to gain visions, haunting and taunting him as to the failure to protect and save, leading mortals to their ends as Guardian sought to accomplish the impossible, dooming them from the start.
  
  Current powers
  Being so near the verge of withering, Guardian possesses only the simplest of his abilities. When protecting someone, Guardian's skills improve to an exceptional level and when blocking or defending from incoming attacks, he becomes more resilient.

  Celestial Era
  Guardian was never sure when he came to be, whether early or late, it did not matter. His very birth brought forth the skies of the world, protecting the land from the dangerous elements that rested in the void. His early years were of confusion and observation, he did not act and remained a spectator. He would observe the first lives being brought and the first lives being extinguished, his very being felt upset when the living ceased abruptly and it felt well when they continued. Perhaps he could prevent this... Thus one day did Guardian descend from on high and strike down a creature threatening to kill a vulnerable one. Guardian had protected a creature, it felt good, but the saved one quickly scampered away terrified at the sight. He no longer felt good, realizing he himself had brought upon the abrupt end of a creature. With his very existence he ended another one. Guardian was confused and sad, a storm of emotions swelled up within him until one began to dominate the rest. Thus did Guardian release his first and only outburst of Rage, shaking the very foundations of the world and causing violent winds to finally be brought into the world.
  
  Guardian retreated back into his home in the skies and reflected. It is unclear for how long he remained atop those clouds, but when he returned to the land he was different, adorning an armor that reflected his new goal. He would protect those that would willingly seek it. In these years mortals would travel to him for sanctuary, only ever worshipping him as what the people thought was a requirement which Guardian never truly agreed nor denied. Guardian would create his Sky isles, littering the skies above with homes to keep his followers safe. Few dared to attack the lands which Guardian protected, yet those that did would be expelled one way or another, with death being the greatest extreme Guardian was willing to go to.
  
  
  God War
  The God war was a very busy time for Guardian, hoards of refugees would travel to Guardian to preserve their own lives and Guardian would unquestionably take them into his islands. Yet as more went to him, the harder it became to protect, even with the help of several volunteers and the Protectors, Guardian's reach was diminishing and thus Guardian began to use his sword more often to compensate. The death of soldiers although necessary in the eyes of Guardian brought him great pain which made him hesitate and question everything, but those thoughts would only slow him down, thus Guardian rejected the emotions swelling within him for the sake of the weak and innocent.
  
  When Cyrus fell to madness and cleaved several gods in a cruel fashion, Guardian's very core wished to explode in rage, to annihilate this malignant entity that had once paraded as their fellow equal. But he couldn't, he would not explode in rage as before, not while he had so many to protect, the weight of their lives were too heavy and he could not succumb to such raw emotions now.
  
  The Downfall
  Although seen and referred to as the heretical era by several of the Gods, Guardian did not view it as such, instead seeing it as a downfall of the gods by merit of their own actions, including his own...
  
  When the war had finally ended, Guardian maintained his duty as defender, yet even as he did, his followers and those that protected him began to leave. No longer did it seem that they were being protected by a benevolent God, with the seeming benevolence gone and Guardian's mind only focused on protection, the mortals beneath saw him as nothing more than a tool, an inanimate object. Such inanimate object to the mortals had also not kept its promise, for many people under Guardian had died, lured in by the promise of safety and prosperity, thus like a dull blade, many of his followers abandoned Guardian with the rest dying as the islands crumbled and crashed into the land from the corruption. Walking without purpose and bound to the ground, Guardian spent decades wandering slowly withering along the way. Eventually Guardian would encounter a small town that was being attacked by bandits. Without putting much thought into it, Guardian took the life of a bandit with his own hands and stealing the blade of the bandit he used it to slay the rest of them, saving the townsfolk whose town had almost been turned to ash. Looking down at the blood in his blade Guardian realized what he had done, yet instead of terror from the townsfolk Guardian was only received with gratitude for their lives having been saved.
  
  They had never asked to be protected yet when he arrived and did so they were grateful, Guardian was not sure what to do of this and this he planned to leave, yet at the outskirts a young boy approached him stating that the town had brought him a small basket of bread and wine, stating that he would be welcome back anytime for his heroic deed. As Guardian took the basket and saw the kid run back to the town, Guardian pondered and thought. Perhaps he could remain here for a while. Thus in the later decades did the town of Wolf water thrive and develop a holiday of honoring the guardian spirit of the town for good fortune and safety by having a child deliver a basket into the forest where the spirit resided in.
  
  Although Guardian may be on the verge of withering, he maintains his post as the towns protector, whether many believe it or not.
  
  Major creations
  Guardian was never much of a creator, always focusing on protection, thus most of his creations focused on protection. Skye Isles were created for the sole purpose to more easily protect those that wished to live upon them. Protectors although powered by the light of hope were created to assist Guardian in his task to protect life, however when the protectors began to develop their own personality Guardian also began protecting as many protectors as possible, even recovering what remained of them when many of them died in he war. Lord of the Sky was purely created to contain anything Guardian considered dangerous, this mostly manifested in him locking away anything created by his rage, usually artifacts crude in nature built by his rage. The Dragons were born from Guardians first outburst of rage which shook the world, he feels ashamed for having brought forth the species into the world unwillingly and having them be fueled by rage, however he does no wish to strike them down and simply hopes that by ignoring them they shall live their own lives. This has failed and the Dragons have simply seen Guardian as the God of Rage, a title he himself does not approve of.
  
  Relations with other gods
  Guardian can hardly remember any of the gods or even their existence, only somewhat recognizing them through sounds more the sight. Guardian does not remember the past deeds of the Gods but he always gets either a positive or negative gut feeling when in their presence.

  Guardian lives in the outskirts of Wolf Water, a small town inhabited by Halflings with it's most notable feature being the successful vineyard they run due to the unique and rich fauna in the area. Guardian lives in the wilderness surrounding the town, protecting the town from packs of wolves and the occasional bandit whether it be through physical means or sheer intimidation the latter of which is more effective on the wolves than on the bandits.

  Personality: They had thought that Reaper was cruel. Merciless and ruthless and most of all, inevitable. A chilling end, the hunter hunting you down to the edge of death. A Death that hates the healers, the doctors, a Death that had to be beaten back by bandages and needles, a heartless god that duelled healers day and night, wielding their scythe against their scalpel.
  They had thought wrong.
  The Reaper is not a combatant. He is no warrior, instead a gatherer, a deliverer of rest. All things end with due time, all life will one day reside within the halls of their palace, why not enjoy life before he gathers you home? The Reaper does not hate those who fight against him, nor does he hate those who preserve life. The Reaper is Death that loves healers and reveres priests, and praises those who struggle and fight against the inevitable, a Reaper who loves those who try with desperation to escape his grasp.
  
  He loves and treasures those who fight him claw and nail. Go on. Let them give everything they have to chase him away, to snatch lives from his grasp. He adores every drop of strength they pour into preserving their little existences, all that will and determination and brilliant desperation that eluded him for so long, how desperately mortals climb and struggle against the inevitable. And when they are finally done, when their strength fails and their machines rust, when all that brilliance has burnt out and the spark is ready to rest, he catches them within his cloak and gathers them home. He is the Reaper that waits patiently, without hurry, without trouble for the end to come, for the spark that had fought against him for so long to burn out, and to finally whisk them all away in his cloak when the tired souls are ready to die, to rest till the echoes of eternity.
  
  His worshippers completely unironically consist of healers and nurses, who pray for their deity to spare their charges, or to at least grant them a swift and painless death if they cannot. He is the Reaper who loves the nurses, the healers, the priests that heal and preserve life.
  
  But he does not seek to hasten the inevitable. While he may cherish and love those who have endured, to the Reaper the greatest blasphemy is theft. The theft of a life, a cherished life stolen and snuffed out, an unwanted gift delivered to the Reaper. It is a death he cannot respect, cannot accept. To tear a life away is the highest blasphemy against the Reaper, the righteous end of things. Death does not welcome the murderers, for his agents are merciful bringers of an end, a righteous deliverance. They do not kill with wanton desire, as so many death cults have done in the false belief it pleases the Reaper. Who are they to take it upon themselves to cull the grains of his garden, who are they intrude upon his domain? Who are they to question his judgement, his righteous justice for when the inevitable must come? And who are they to deny him his rightful time, who are they to prune the delicate flowers of life he adores so much, and to assume it is within his righteous will?
  
  And most of all, who are they to dare demand his obeisance, to rob him of his right to bring a righteous end?
  
  It is thought that the only thing he directly hates and loathes with a burning passion would be true undead, or those who tear others away from the peace of the grave. But that is…not entirely correct. Sometimes such a thing earns his ire, such as those who desecrate the holy cycle of life and death and blaspheme against the sacred bones, those who tear unwilling souls from their graves to turn into thralls. For instance, a lich that devours souls to sustain itself, a cruel vampire lord that treats living beings like cattle. To struggle against death was one thing. To wade through the blood of thousands to cling onto your own foul existence is another. Such creatures earn the ire of a rarely angered Reaper. But the clerics, the holy who raise the dead, those who bring back lovers from the grave, those who have braved the Reaper’s trials and charged through his tribulations to snatch their loved ones from his grasp, these souls have bled and clawed their way to life once more, these souls earn the highest rewards the Reaper may bestow upon them.

  Symbols of worship: Death comes differently for all. And as such, the worship of the Reaper varied greatly. Symbols included skulls, hourglass, black cats, a skeleton playing chess, bones, scythes, funeral bells.
  
  Status of worshippers: Where there is death, there is worship of the Reaper. The more priests slaughtered by the Inquisition, the more that "fall" into worship of the Reaper. The shrines built to the Reaper was not to ask for his attention, but rather his mercy, and to ward him off. Even traditional funerals bear a trace of the Reaper, a prayer for his mercy, a whisper of encouragement for Death as he carries them away to peace and rest. Half-remembered rituals for peace carried out at funerals, passed on from mortician to mortician. They are not many who openly worship the Reaper, for most are not public, but they are there.
  
  While the Inquisition has ruthlessly hunted down the death cults and the more "public" worshippers of the Reaper, the very nature of the death cults who slaughter wantonly has proven difficult to eradicate. The fact that many of the Reaper's worshippers are found in healers and doctors have significantly delayed their removal, and halted their decline.
  
  One of the most prominent death cults is the Church of Candlelight, who fanatically worships the Reaper as the Lady in Black, a vengeful goddess who brings salvation through the endless peace of death.
  
  General mortal reputation: Once upon a time, the Reaper was seen as a benevolent god. A peaceful, patient mentor who loves those that fight ardently against him, who cherishes those who snatch life from the hands of death. For all things will end, and he will bring them home within his arms, why not let them rejoice before bedtime comes and the night reclaims them too? But it is inevitable that the persona of the Reaper has been twisted, warped and misguided. Death cults have grown who worship the Reaper slaughter wantonly out of the false belief it pleases the Reaper. It does not. In fact, there is in fact nothing more the Reaper despises than the theft of life. Seen as the fallen, the corrupted and the death cultists, many worshippers of the death god are seen as assassins and murderers, dangers to be exterminated on sight. Ironically, even the Reaper's own worshippers hate such fanatics, devoting their own inquisitions to execute such serial killers whenever they are found.
  
  Most of the Reaper's worshippers consist of nurses and doctors and healers, those who preserve life at any means necessary, perhaps even necromancers that walked the cathedrals and delivered life upon the dead. They fought their dead lord tooth and nail, healers who wished for nothing more than to preserve life. While the Inquisition has done their best to portray the Reaper as a cruel god, an inevitable end, those who worship and remember the death god know of his patience, and know of how little he truly wishes to hasten an inevitable end. All things end. Why not enjoy them while they last?
  
  The Reaper will let you rejoice. Let you live. Let you fight and claw and snatch others from his grip, and he will love you all the more for it. There is no one he loves more than those who dare tear souls away from his grip, those who struggle against the inevitable. When your brilliance and your fight drains out, and when you are truly ready to rest, he will gather you home into a restful end, to wait to be reborn anew.
  
  Unique withering effects (such as memory loss, etc): Loss of self. The propaganda of the Inquisition has taken its toll. The formerly compassionate death god is prone to truly losing himself and becoming the monster the Inquisition sees him as. Slowly, he's losing more and more of his former self, the Reaper truly turning into the wrathful deity the death cults he had once hated and loathed see him as. Perhaps one day he will truly forget what he had once been, forget the mercy and peace his priests preach so vehemently, and perhaps one day the Reaper will truly become the death that wishes to devour, to snuff out all life as is his sky-given right.
  Current powers:
  Wither and Rot: The Reaper's very touch is bile. His own presence is bitter. To be within physical contact of him, to be touched by him or to touch him is to court death. Once upon a time, his very touch was instant death to a mortal. The Reaper's touch was known to drain vitality and seep health, making the affected creatures weak and ill, soon to lead to paralysis and death. Immortal creatures are not entirely immune to his touch, instead feeling a piercingly cold presence that can paralyze. The health drain is slower, but noticeable. However, given his weakened state, while his touch is no longer a sentence of execution, it can quickly lead to first paralysis, then illness and then finally death when exposed for prolonged times with a mortal creature.
  
  All Things End: To be slain by the Reaper's blade is a permanent death. While he no longer has Harpe, the scythe that can kill immortals, to be slain by him is no pleasant thing. A mortal soul that is destroyed by the Reaper or his touch cannot be resurrected or reborn by any means. Their soul is either destroyed instantly or sent directly to the realm of the dead. All wounds caused by the Reaper do not heal without magical or divine assistance, and any immortal creature that dies from the Reaper has their resurrection delayed or weakened in some way.
  
  To Bear the Dead: The Reaper was not a hunter, but rather a gatherer. He collects the souls who depart from this plane and bring them home where they may reincarnate, or stay awhile if they wish. He does not mind company among the dead. Now, while the Reaper can still gather the souls, he can no longer send them to a waiting place if they do not wish to reincarnate.
  
  Necromancy: The Reaper could have once brought a soul back to life, or so it was rumored. In truth, the Reaper can but would have never done such a thing. For his priests to fight vehemently against him was once thing, to willingly rob a soul he had brought to rest was another. Now, the extent of his necormancy is only control over the dead, such as moving bones or corpses, and communing with spirits that have passed.
  
  To Walk Among the Dead: The Reaper was there at every death, every departure, guiding souls to their eternal rest. None could ever escape the Reaper. While now he can no longer bring them home, the cling of the beyond has yet to leave Grimm. He can no longer completely appear human, always at least in part incorporeal. Sometimes hovering, sometimes flat-out passing through walls and objects as if they simply were not there. This effect worsens the more the withering advances, and the more he loses his sense of self. Even in mortal form, he is....not entirely alive. Perhaps the Reaper resembles more of an undead creature than an actual living mortal, but the resemblance is close enough to pass...(even with the lack of a noticeable pulse or need for nutrition or any other function most living beings require....)
  
  Eyes of the Grave: The Reaper, quite literally being death, can sense when death is around. While he can no longer guess when or how one may die, undead cannot hide nor disguise their presence from him. Grimm can tell if someone is a murderer, as well as if someone has already died within the vicinity.
  
  Carried Artifact?: (If applicable) He no longer has his scythe Harpe, for it was lost during the end of the Godwar, but if asked Grimm will admit he believes it had survived the corruption. As a fragment of himself, connected yet separated, it is possible that its power still yet lingers. It is possible that his scythe still holds yet the power to slay gods and immortals. Perhaps it was found and seized by the Inquisition, and are now currently studying its powers in hopes of harnessing it against the gods. Or perhaps it was found and entombed by the death cults, worshipped as a lost fragment of their Lady of LIght. Or perhaps it is buried under a thousand tons of rubble within the Garden of Bones, hidden away among the dead and kept safe under their eternal vigil. Or perhaps it is simply gone forever, the bones of a god lost in time and space. As distressing as the loss of a limb, the Reaper no longer knows.

  Misericordia: Sometimes spoken as part of the Reaper, deceased. While alive they had had a strained relationship given Misericordia's encouragement of murder and backstabbing, having brought many a soul to the Underworld.
  Guardian: Seen as a friend, occasionally contacted. The protection deity's loss of self has proven to be a tad concerning, but the Reaper does appreciate Guardian's efforts to keep him away.
  Severed Heaven: Completely unironically a close acquaintance of death. Someone had to clean away the debris after his rampages y'know!
  Cyrus: Strained relationship, although Grimm makes some effort to contact. Never speaks directly.
  Altaqula: Occasionally they meet and discuss how mortals died in the ocean.
  Gulofest: Surprisingly, the Reaper's worshippers sure do know how to party. Life is short, and death will get you in the end, so why not enjoy it while it lasts?
  Tes-Nenet: Life and death get along well, a pleasant surprise! The more that live, the more that will eventually die, so it is in his best interests to keep the garden of life flourishing. The harvest of the dead depends upon the grains of the living.
  Shiie: Had a decent relationship, which was rather unpleasantly shattered during the Burning of Yolan.
  Aisyr: You can't have adventures without a slice of death, y'know! Sometimes they hang out just to gush over their favorite mortals and how they died.
  Yr-Sannem: Gods like him are what remind the Reaper that not everyone deserves life. Some deserve to have a nice long hug with the Reaper.
  Haggard: Hey look, a fellow grumpy grandpa to grump around with. Sometimes he hangs out just to discuss burial rites.
  Pauper: The Reaper has seen defeatism similar to hers far too many times. The exhaustion, the hopelessness, the attitude of "death will get us all in the end, so why bother?". It irritates him to no end. Yes, he will one day collect and bring you home, but why not enjoy it while it lasts? Why throw yourself into his arms just because there's no delaying the inevitable? Despite their fundamental differences, Grimm at least has a working relationship with Pauper, having seen many a soul brought to his realm from poverty. Poverty has brought in almost as many souls Greed.
  Belgrin: Given how many people Belgrin got killed, he is far from being invited to Grimm's tea parties.
  Ectu: Grimm, as the deity of death, understands Ectu's nature, but that doesn't mean he hasn't had a few grumbles over how many damn souls wander into the Afterlife after being shredded by a monster.
  
  Backstory:
  Celestial Era:
  Where there was life, there was death. Among the oldest of the deities, the Reaper has seen the rise and fall of empires, and has conforted many a lesser god during their demises. He was created when the first beings were born, and it was from their decay did he live. Before, when there was nothing but endings, it was where the Reaper had began. At first, when it was a time before he wielded his scythe not with wrath but with compassion, he had sowed death as wantonly as his most insane worshippers now do. When the times were young and the realm was as chaotic as unformed clay, the Reaper carved his name through death. He hastened the inevitable, and brought great worlds to ruins, and his worshippers did the same in his name.
  
  But it was not long before he was tired. He was tired and sick of death before it had even begun, tired of all the broken mortal shells he would harvest and bring home from the infighting of the gods. The Reaper gazed upon his domain of wrath and ruin and was tired of all the destruction he had seen, all the pointless tragedies that could have been avoided.
  
  He was tired of it all. The Reaper changed slowly, and faded away from the wrathful killer his creation had made him, and stayed clear away out of any petty squabbles the other deities may have had. He culled the messes they had made, and bore the broken dead home gently, and with compassion. Death was tired of hastening the inevitable, so he chose to delay it instead. He stayed his scythe, and mercy made itself known. No more was he the terrifying visage even gods feared, but the kind gatherer who does not seek souls out, but only visits when they call, when they were ready to rest, to sleep within his care and compassion. Among the oldest of gods, he was there when the first life was stolen, robbed from living skin and soul. Grimm was there when a new goddess rose from the blood and betrayal, a new goddess that called herself Misericordia, the mother of misery and the patron saint of traitors. For the Reaper, there was no sin greater than the theft of life. For Misericordia, there was no joy greater than the swing of the executioner’s axe or the heartbroken howls of a betrayed lover.
  
  God War:
  The Reaper's realm grew exponentially during the war as mortals and divine fell like flies. His worshippers, his priests and healers, they fought at the frontlines with scalpels and bandages, yet they saw the skeletal visage of their lord far more times than mercy would have liked. They glimpsed his dark robes as he carried away their patients, as the Reaper stepped away under the hastily-erected hospital tents with blood on his robes and new souls in his arms. While the Reaper's servants are often blessed with the mercy of their lord, and an impossible endurance to match, many perished within the war on the frontlines as they desperately tried to preserve life.
  
  The Reaper personally stayed out of the war. He had no physical domains to protect and no reason to fight. Yet when the living beings started dying from the Withering, and his domain swelled from the souls of the lost, the Reaper took note of the corruption that laid askew the scales of life and death. It was here when the First Horseman went mad, when Azrael started his accursed rampage upon leaden hooves. Perhaps driven mad from the burden, perhaps due to the Corruption, or perhaps he had simply betrayed the Reaper out of simple greed. Whatever it was, the former servant of Death would lay waste to legions and armies, the closest the Reaper would ever come to ever actually participating in the Godwar. In the ensuing struggle, the fallen Angel of Death tore Harpe from the Reaper’s grasp, and laid skew the cycle of mortality his patron god had struggled so desperately to maintain.
  
  Much to the Reaper’s dismay, death cults sprung up as a direct cause of Azrael’s madness, some worshipping the Reaper under the guise of the Lady in Black, believing final illumination would only appear to those who died, for death was the true state of being, the inevitable truth. They became the Blade and the Candle, the Church of Candlelight that worshiped loss and the end.
  
  Back then, the Reaper had been dismayed upon the sight of his new worshippers, even when now he begrudgingly accepts them given their resistance against the Inquisition, even if their favorite past time involves assassinating targets in the name of the Reaper and worshipping the bones of their victims. He would not deny nor speak of it, but if pressed the Reaper may admit that the death cults had played a part in ending the God War with their lethal network. At least it had gotten the gods’ attention to do something, even when the Reaper had stayed apathetic and unwilling. When Cyrus went mad, and even when the Reaper attended the deathbeds of the fallen divine, the Reaper remained apathetic, unwilling to intervene. He was a harvester, not a warrior.
  
  While the Reaper has no claims to personally ending a god, the Church of the Candlelight propagates rumors, whispers that he was the one that had taken advantage of the war to finally execute a loathed enemy, a vengeful scion. It was, after all, Azrael and the Reaper’s lost scythe that had ended the goddess of treachery. He was among the oldest of deities, and none held more sway over the kiss of death than Death himself. They whisper and claim that the Reaper was not merely there to guide Misericordia as she laid broken and bloodied from her own servant’s treachery, he was not there to merely comfort a goddess after a botched assassination, but he was there to deliver to her the righteous death she had defied for so long, the righteous death she so justly deserved. He had stood by her as the goddess had wallowed in her own ichor, broken beyond repair by the treachery of her worshippers, her divine flesh carved to the bone.
  
  Nothing mortal can slay a god. Yet there was nothing divine about Misericordia’s death. She had died alone, in misery and suffering, carved apart by the betrayal of her own priestess. The Reaper had knelt by the dying goddess and waited by her as she died. As one final act of pity, he had lit seven candles so that she would not have to die alone in the dark, and thus the legend of the Lady of Light was born. The heretical assassins claim the Reaper had ended the First Murderer as she lay broken and dying, to have delivered the betrayed goddess into eternal rest. And thus the domain of murder was his by right as well, and his will is the divine right of executioners, the joy of taking life.
  
  Whatever the answer may be, regardless of the true identity of the Lady in Black, the Lady of Light, the Reaper, in all his compassion for mortal life, when the God War was nearing its end and the Corruption too was nearing its climax, he chose to join the council. And thus the Artifact was made, and as thus the divine faded from mortal life.
  
  When the God War ended, the Reaper stayed out of the limelight as he had been accustomed to, quietly carrying on his job among the graves and tending the lost souls that awaited their arrival in the Underworld. The death cults would dwindle, but never fade, with the Church of the Candlelight being the most prominent, still speaking their blasphemy of the Lady in Black. Azrael had finally met his end at the hands of adventurers, and returned to restful slumber among the cold embrace of his deathly overlord. Harpe, however, was forever lost. The Reaper would not speak until Shiie's actions, when his worshippers had raced through the rubble, the first saviors in an vain attempt to save even a single life. The Reaper was there when the city burned, and he was there with souls weighing down his cloak as he carried his grisly charge away and into the afterlife.
  
  And, as rumors would have it, he was also there at her deathbed. It was he who accompanied her in her final dying moments, as was the tradition for every soul, man or god, that had died and will ever die. The Reaper had seen a divine death and tried to comfort what little he could as she passed.
  
  Heretical Era
  The Reaper mourned, as he often would after a divine death. And meanwhile, his worshippers solemnly carried out their duty, paying tribute to the inevitable that would no doubt one day claim them too. He did not concern himself with the affairs of the mortal world, for while medicine improved and ingenuity grew, death did not. Death would always be there, waiting, lurking, and in fact he loved the world more for it. For they fought like never before, and his own worshippers lived their lives with brazen survival, and he comforted the souls that had fallen into his grasp like he always did.
  
  It was the sudden influx of death that awoke him from the Inquisition. What was this? A sacrifice? A sudden plague? The Reaper does not know fear. There is nothing to fear. He knows all things will end with time, all things until he was all alone, and then till he too ended for there was nothing more to die. There should be nothing that can scare a deity of death.
  
  But this was fear.
  
  This was grief for the souls slaughtered, lives snuffed out before their own time. Upon the whispers of the dead he spoke to the sins of the living, he whispered lullabies to the dead and listened to their woes. The Reaper mourned for them, and it was with numb despair did he watch the death cults awaken anew, the mad priests rambling for a "Reckoning", an avengeance by a vengeful god of death fit to shake the world, and bring the apocalypse anew. Now, the Cult of Our Lady of Light, the Church of the Candlelight, with its blades and candles, worshippers of the monster the Reaper was once, they are begrudgingly accepted as his worshippers, a collection of assassins with a strained relationship with the god they worship.
  
  As the Reaper travels the world the divine holds no sway over anymore, the stark truth is hardly hidden, nor is it veiled.
  
  The gods are dying. There is no one that knows this better than the deity of death himself. Soon, perhaps, he will be among them too.

  Personality
  Grief is complex. It is not simply resolved with a defined strategy, it is up to an indivudal to decide how to mourn what is lost and move on from it. For Altaqula, that meant finding new purpose and forging forward after the loss of her divine power, not wallowing in it's loss. It is the nature of her to be ever changing, never settling into comfort. While she grieves her divinity, it did not define her, and she recognised the need and desire to become something else. As such, she has little time for regrets and pining for what she can not possess anymore, and has fully embraced the life among mortals who might once have left her offerings in exchange for safe travel.
  
  Altaqula buried herself in her new station, and still stays in ports and bays and works on ships, staying close to the things that were once hers. Being so close to the ocean and it's might means that Altaqula is better ajusted than many others to mortality. She sings and fights and loves like the mortals around her, until such a time that she must move on to the next town. She does however miss the deep oceans, those places that only those with the ability to truly live among the waters can reach. Aboard a ship she is quick to dictate commands, possessing a mastery of sailing that seems unusual for one her age. But ships she sails on always seem to find fair winds and calm waters.
  
  Surrounded by her element constantly and emobldened by her new life gives Altaqula an optimisim and drive that others find difficult to match. Her powers may wane but her home is everlasting. The ocean always wins in the end.

  Thoughts on the Inquisition
  The time of the Divines are over, and that was a choice that the Gods made. The inquisition is simply a new current, and it will eventually wither out and another will take it's place. She has no hatred for them, they are simply doing as the currents require.

  Status of Worshippers
  Atalqula by nature never had a central area of worship outside of a few port lighthouses and temples. Most worshippers now are superstitous old sailors afraid that sailing without the Lady's blessing is bad luck. Most nowadays mock the old superstitions, and aren't taken seriously. More focused worshippers are dealt with as appropriate.
  
  General Mortal Reputation
  There was a time when no captain would sail without giving offering to Altaqula. Sailors would leave part of their cargo or coin at a temple or lighthouse or even, if they forgot, would throw something to the sea itself. Though she couldn't protect every ship, Altaqula would do what she could for those who offerred worthy penance. Nowadays, she joins the younger sailors in good naturedly jeering the older veterans who still make quite offerrings, throwing a few dried grapes or tack overboard. But she still makes sure to sail on the ships that carry out these practices as much as she can.

  Little control over Storms anymore, Physically weak when too far from sea. Can't breathe underwater anymore, and is capable of drowning.

  Altaqula still retains some control over water, and is able to guide it to flow in certain ways, calming seas or roughing them in a close area. She cannot make a storm but she can certainly jostle the water. She can also propel herself quickly through water, though cannot breathe in it. Altaqula can also still guide lightning within her body, channeling the static of a storm into her strikes when it's raining, making her faster and stronger.

  Celestial Era
  Altaqula has changed many times over her divine life, so much so that the other eldest among her kin would not recognise the Goddess that originally bore the name. As one of the eldest Gods, Altaqula wielded her original domain as a wrathful resources to be picked away at by the other Gods to sustain their own creations, she responded in kind by picking at the Earth, crumbling it into the ocean's embrace and wildly crashing against itself as the skies above crack with Thunder.
  
  As years passed, Altaqula's wild wrath settled into purpose, and she went through what she would later describe as her first change. The next time the Gods met, the Altaqula they knew, the wild and vengeful watery being was gone, replaced by a calmer and more benevelont spirit. Willing to give her fellows her waters and inviting others to add creatures to her vast open domain. With Guardian's blessing, she tamed the wild skies and storms above to calm the waters and currents, making her a more beneveolent entity.
  
  As time continued to turn and the mortals began to venture across her realm, Altaqula changed again. She became less of a resource and more a force to be respected, without said respect there would be consequences. Her worship began as requests for safe travel, but slowly grew into a general respect of mortals for the ocean in general. Those who died on ships were considered her responsibility to put to rest, at Death or in her own realm, and those who braved her waters were under her protection.
  
  Despite these changes, at her core Altaqula is as the sea itself, ever changing, ever powerful and ever dangerous if not payed due course.
  
  God War
  Altaqula has some lingering shame from her role in the war. It was easy to blame divines whose domains more closely held to that of battle and warfare, but it had been the wild early days of the ocean and lingering grudges for the harm she had caused that had rose to increase the tension between her family. A part of Altaqula would always be that wild, untameable force, and it was in the sea's nature to destroy. As other Gods made their own protections for their followers in her realm, her disdain only increased. Her domain was great, so she could not protect it all, so it was not respected by her kin.
  
  With a great area to protect, Altaqula was one of the first to recognise the danger of the Withering and the curses that threatened her borders. But the sea is over adapting, and it takes on anything that falls within it, and so these curses became a part of her, twisting her wrath only further. Other Gods lost worshippers on her waters, and she reverted back to that ancient, wild and wrathful being, who could not be sated by any who tried to cross her waters. By her hand, the sea was made impassable, unconquerable, as some part of her relished in the tyranny and strength that the curse provided.
  
  Though she would never admit it to another, Altaqula is proud that she was a great factor in ending the God War. She'd like to beleive that if it weren't for her great and mighty strength of her oceans, the Gods would never have united against the corruption that plauged her and so many others. Whether or not that was the case she will not debate. With the rest of the divines agreeing to limit their influence, Altaqula would retreat to the depths of her oceans, reflecting and contemplating on her actions. She would not speak to her kin until after Shiie's actions.
  
  Heretical Era
  Her time in contemplation was great, great enough that her divine form changed again, becoming some deep and terryfying in the dark of the abyss, silent to the parayers and worship of her followers. Altaqula would spend years in contemplation, stretching her feelings out to the edges of her home for so many years. And eventually, it was an offering that spurred her out of it.
  
  Altaqula had been subtly aware of the decrease in her offerrings. But when she first felt a ship travel without one, it made her curious, if nothing else. She watched this ship, preparing to sink it for it's transgression, and paused. What if she didn't? Couldn't? There was a fear she would revert to that monstrous being, the one who would not share her domain with any. Even if she did, as she surfaced for the first time in a century, she felt her powers waning, that grip on the water loosening. Mortal vessels had improved in the many years she had slumbered, they were sturdier and better built, her worship was not required because newer ships had little danger of capsizing or sinking at sea. Oh the mortals would sink each other true enough, but that wasn't her responsibility. She recognised that with the improvement in mortal ingenuity and the weakening of her powers, she couldn't save or stop a ship if she wanted to.
  
  She felt her worshippers dwindle, reeducated or abandoning her ways for a new world. This was the way of the world however, to change and adapt. Things could not stay the same forever, such is the way of things. This was most apparent to her the first time she drowned. It created a lasting fear she would never escape, and she never settled too deeply in the ocean afterward, mouring the loss of a home she had had for so long. It was only for a moment, but that nervousness of dying in her home made her desire to abandon the deepest reaches of it.
  
  As her form changed again and grew more and more seperate from her waters, Ataqula elected to change as she had countless times before, walking among those who would be brave enough to pass her waters, and sail alongside them on their wooden ships that had so readily conquered her.
  
  Never settling in one port, Quinel Alteal is a fine sailor, having worked every position aboard a ship at this point, from Cook to Captain. Alteal's voyages never go astray and always arrive on time.   Personality: The Maker God was once a simple being. He who made. There was a pride in craftsmanship, of simple workings. Holding little ambition or spite, Bari labored solely to make. Mortals were students, and Bari desired to see them learn the crafts. Bari was well known for travelling the world in the body of a mortal man, offering tips and teachings to mortal craftsfolk, for he desired to see them all better their work. The Crafter was most at home in talking to others of the trade, and was well known to have issues when interacting with Gods or Mortals outside that capacity. In a way, Bari was almost awkward when talking to people, Divine or otherwise. He spoke little, but made much. Across the whole of the world, signs of his works can be seen. His buildings, his metalworks, stonework and jewelry. All of it was his pride and joy, from the smallest of trinkets to the greatest of fortresses. All of it was built, without exact purpose save other than the joy of the making. Of course, that is who he was. Things change.
  
  Despite his isolation from others, for he spoke little, Bari loved fiercely, and saw value in all, Mortal or Divine. He was fond of his fellow Gods, though perhaps fonder still of the mortals who aspired to make something of their own. All hands could make, even those meant to destroy. Bari once believed he could teach them how.

  There remains no cults to Bari, only old craftsfolk who remember appreciation for the Smith-God. Bari had never favored cults much in the first place, as worship was time wasted that could be spent making, learning, and improving. A disinterest in established worship helps Bari's follower's survive, but grants little in the way of power to their God.
  
  General mortal reputation: Bari tended to have good favor among mortals, for he taught them to make. Many of the world's great monuments and wonders were of Bari's make, many of his structures meant to aid mortals, or amuse them. The Forge-God encouraged mortal followers, and dwelt little on grudges and divine drama. However, many would sensibly blame him for making so many of the weapons used in the God War. Perhaps if the whole world hadn't been so well-armed, the War wouldn't have claimed as many lives.

Having taken so little a part in talking to anyone else, Bari barely understood what the conflict was about, so the Forge-God protected his followers and the world's makings for the most part, before he went off to fight the Corruption, but the Corruption was stronger than anticipated.

The Raven Queen was fond of these, and ever aspiring to know secrets, she sought to learn Bari's secret methods. One day however, she simply asked him, for she had come to realize that Bari had nothing to hide, and was happy to teach. Bari was invited to her personal realm to help make complex mechanisms and arcane machinery, which he was more than happy to do. It delighted him, for above all others, Shiie seemed to delight in the art of it, for the complexity and intricacy of the craft. Together they made many things, not by request, not by need, but simply to delight in what they could accomplish together. Far and above all others, Shiie was Bari's truest friend.
  
  Backstory:
  Bari appeared when the world was young, and took hold of the celestial fires of creation. They became his Godhood, and the Forge-God was quick to begin his work. Within the heart of Rolklbar Moutain, Bari sparked the Godforge, and began his work. From the depths, Bari hauled a massive chunk of divine metal, a remnant from the world's forging. With his fists and fiery breath, the Forge-God pounded this metal into shape, and from it, pulled perhaps the first of Divine Artifacts, that which would bring forth many, Barivazarr. To foster friendship among him and the other Gods, Bari crafted divine artifacts for all who asked. Despite his willingness to craft for others, the Forge-God spent little time or effort in interaction with anyone, unless they sought him out. For most of the world's span, the Forge-God spoke only with those craftsfolk who sought him out, and those who built the city of Karnr Kabar about him. Although he was not particularly social, he came to love the people of the city, and encouraged them in their makes.
  By their request Bari set out into the world, making and teaching craftsfolk of all races, making things and structures to solve all manner of problems. Wherever he went, Bari made, and made the world better for it.
  
  The God War was not something Bari saw coming, and it disturbed him greatly. Knowing only one way to work against it, Bari made weapons for all who asked. After all, it was no hard to convince the God of Making to Make, even if he understood so precious little of the war and its sides. The Forge God defended his beloved city and people against attackers both Divine and Mortal, though his hand slew no Gods, and took as few lives as he could. The War was costly, and saw many of his creations ruined, his monuments brought low, his artifacts broken. Yet Bari held through, as did his people, forged in fire and tempered by his own hand.
  
  The Corruption however, was a new threat entirely. Recognizing it as the greatest threat to the world, perhaps even before the other Gods did, Bari saw something with unlimited potential to unmake, no greater threat to his loved act of Making. So, Bari and his creations set out to battle the Corruption, and from that day to the God War's End, that is what he did. Such constant conflict took a great toll on the Forge God. Weakened by the Corruption's negative effects, Bari was forced to hammer plates of enchanted bronze into his flesh, to stabilize his divine being and stave off the corruption. Having known it for so long, few understood the Corruption more than Bari, even if he truly knew little. The plates did much for him, though the corruption had begun to rot his mind and very being, even as he fought it. In time, the God War would end, although Bari would hardly know, hammering away at the Corruption until the last moment.
  
  The Forge God barely clung to life in those days, so when the Gods met to make new plans, and the Mortal World changed, Bari noticed little. When asked, he gave his power to the Council, to strike down the Corruption, though afterward, the Forge-god found himself lost. He was filled with pain and was exhausted, so exhausted. The world was colder, and he was far from home, without anyone to aid him. In the era of the Inquisition the Forge God wandered, confused, lost, alone. To him, barely little time had past at all since he had finished fighting, though it had been decades. The Forge-God can tell something is wrong, even as his mind is filled with lingering fog and corruption, as he searches still for Karnr Kabar.

  The Wyrm Cult: Belgrin lost the vast majority of his followers, yet he managed to retain most of his more fanatical believers. This organization essentially served as the agents of Belgrin, with them being a constant presence in all of the nations that worshiped the snake god. The Cult managed to survive the destruction brought about by the war and eventual purges, and now its members have either gone into hiding or formed secret societies.
  
  Serpent-Men: Originally humans who were transformed into hideous creatures, they have become one of the Belgrin's more abundant followers. Like with the Wyrm Cult, a decent number of them managed to survive the war. The Serpent-Men formed a number of groups scattered around the world, and typically try to avoid human civilization.
  
  General mortal reputation: Formely greatly feared, now more or less forgotten.
  
  Unique withering effects (such as memory loss, etc): The withering has left him greatly reduced. In his prime, Belgrin was a being of great power and destruction and was even one of the strongest gods. But after the loss of his followers, he has become so weak that he can barely interact with the world. He also requires sacrifices to maintain his current strength.

  Nowadays, Belgrin is greatly diminished compared to what he once was, but he is still capable of doing some things. Belgrin can grant his followers minor blessings, but only if they provide him with a sacrifice. Also, he is still more than capable of defending himself from minor threats despite the weakening effects of the withering.
  
  
  Domination: Belgrin can dominate the minds of his enemies, but this ability is greatly limited compared to what he was capable of doing in the past. At the peak of his power, he was capable of subjugating entire armies with merely his gaze, provided that they were not being protected by one of the other Gods or some artifact. Now, though, he is only capable of dominating individuals if he has enough time to concentrate and prepare. This ability is further limited by the fact that it cannot work on enemies who possess a strong will. And even when it does work, this ability can only last for a brief amount of time.

  Venomous Blood: He may no longer have the form of a serpent, but Belgrin still possesses a dangerous venom. Belgrin's blood is infused with venom, and while this does not have any offensive capabilities, it can give anyone who manages to wound him a nasty surprise if they are unable to avoid contact with it or lack the necessary protection.
  The venom is non-lethal and significantly less severe if it does not come into contact with an open wound, but it would still be an unpleasant experience.
  
  Unnatural Might: Belgrin's strength might be diminished, but he can still improve the strength of others. Whenever he takes control of someone, Belgrin increases their power. This effect will last as long as the subject continues to follow Belgrin's orders.

  Activity in the god war: While information about the war is scarce and confusing, it is certainly known that Belgrin was one of the more aggressive gods during the conflict. When the petty disputes broke out into a full-fledged war, he was one of the gods who actively participated in and even seemed to enjoy the conflict. His followers launched grand invasions, slaughtering and enslaving those they deemed to be heretics and destroying their temples. Belgrin himself personally devoured a number of lesser gods, something that would eventually lead to his downfall.
  Major creations: The Tower of Tosk, a great tower that served as both a monument of Belgrin's might and a site of unimaginable cruelty. Countless slaves were sent to this massive structure, and there they would suffer a fate far worse than death. These unfortunate slaves were subjected to rituals that transformed them into the hideous Serpent-Men on a massive scale. This greatly bolstered Belgrin's forces, yet it would also cause more of the gods to oppose him.
  
  
  The great tower was active for most of the war, but it was destroyed after Belgrin's defeat.
  
  Relations with other gods: Very complicated. Even before the Godswar broke out, Belgrin's relationship with most of the other gods was quite tense. The Wyrm was known for being aggressive when dealing with gods that he considered to be his rivals, and that only got worse as he became more powerful.
  Backstory:
  
  Ever since mortals came into existence, there has been a feeling each and every single one of them has felt: Fear. Mortals feared many things. They feared the unknown. The hidden terrors lurking within the endless darkness surrounding their meager campfires. The fear of death. How it could easily claim not only their own lives but also the lives of their loved ones. Fear was the one true constant.
  
  One of the factors that allowed fear to thrive was the disorder their lives were subject to. It was a chaotic time of violence and death, and humans were left without a true solution to this problem. All they had was a single desire: to be able to live their lives without the overwhelming oppression of chaos.
  
  Eventually, this desire would lead to the creation of their salvation. Their desire for stability brought the Great Wyrm, Belgrin, into existence.
  
  It is unknown if this is actually the origin of Belgrin, but he claims that it is his true origin, and few would try to contradict him.
  
  After the Wyrm came into existence, he would go on to become one of the most powerful deities. While oppressive, Belgrin's religion was very enticing because of the stability and wealth it brought, and many nations adopted it as their official faith.
  
  
  
  But while Belgrin possessed a great deal of power, he was devastated by the Gods War. So much so that he had to go into hiding to survive.

• Personality: Pauper is a pitiable creature. Having lost the only source of compassion and companionship in her impoverished life, she has regressed into a barely functioning husk of a God. She watches the world with lifeless eyes, acting detached, lethargic and languid. Seeing as her past held little glory to begin with, she found it rather easy to give up on the pride of divinity. Instead, she spends the days contemplating the issue of mortality, all the while hopelessly chasing the little things which used to make her happy.   Status of worshippers: The cult of Pauper has always dominated among the poor and downtrodden. Those who have nothing left to lose still cling onto hope, pressing their hands together and praying to the otherwise unwanted God.
  
  General mortal reputation: Unlike most other Gods, the miniscule amount of shrines built for Pauper were dedicated specifically to warding her off. People were afraid she would cause poverty and famine wherever she went, yet the truth is that she was born directly from Humanity. She cared only for those who couldn't afford to pay her homage, and thus she drew the ire of the upper and middle classes. On rare occassions, she would be revered by ascetics and monks, who admired a life lived without material comforts.

  Backstory: Poverty and Abundance walk hand in hand; when one grows, so too does the other increase. The development of society gave birth to two Godessess, each bearing one of these two attributes. Though one was gloomy, existing as the inherent price of wealth, the other always smiled and invited her to picnics, sharing all that she could. Over time, Poverty grew to be dependent on Abundance, and would hide behind her like a shadow in the presence of other Gods. She couldn't see past her dependency, and so she waited with bated breath for Abundance to arrive. Only in the reprieve from her own darkness did she ever find happiness.
  
  At the outbreak of the War, her sister naturally embarked to protect the comfort of mortals. Whenever she departed for battle, Poverty would weep and cower, hoping desperately for her safe return. One day, Abundance left as always to the slaughterfield, and Poverty begged her to come back as soon as possible. With a haughty grin, her sister offered one final wave, and then never returned.
  
  Ever since her sister's death, Pauper has never once stopped mourning. Though she attempted to find her own worth, and take care of others how her sister took care of her, the effects of losing her divinity have further exacerbated her despair. "Who am I? Is my existence mistaken? If I die, will the world be a better place? Does that mean lives like mine hold no meaning?" Such questions have driven her to a languid stupor, where she to this day remains.

  Personality: Generally energetic and prone to distraction, Aisyr is a joyful deity. She tends to be very active and almost never sits still. When she does, she's often fidgeting or otherwise distracting herself with something. Aisyr adores nearly all mortals, other than tyrants, slavers, and related types. Often, she can be found wandering in her mortal form, aiding mortals in their daily lives. During the Celestial Era, a number of mortals, particularly adventurers, would be visited by Aisyr at some point or another. She appeared before them as a cloaked wanderer, giving advice and inspiring them to succeed in their quests. For those on the most dire of quests, she would wait for the best moment then appear in her divine form, satisfying her love for dramatics.
  
  Amongst her peers on the council, Aisyr tends to act younger, believing most gods to be too old for their own good. She considers most deities to be a type of extended family, with a specific few excluded based on their domains and behavior. She tries to visit each of the gods when she can, and occasionally attempts to pull them into new adventures. Whenever she finds a mortal she is proud of or favors, her favorite pastime changes from adventuring to bragging about said mortal to any god she can corner.

Which, depending on the manner of their death, isn’t all that bad either, assuming they died while on a quest or while acting of their own free will against the commands of others. There’s also the Inquisition side of things. They’re being oppressive and killing innocents, which is very much a negative, but they’re also trying to free themselves from the Gods and fate, which makes Aisyr somehow feel an uncomfortable, reluctant pride for the path they walk.

  Status of worshippers: Her worshippers are spread wide amongst the mortal races, drawing from those who oppose the Inquisition and strive to be free to worship how they wish, those who fancy themselves adventurers, and those who struggle against great odds, relying on their own force of will to succeed. Due to their nature of being in dangerous or difficult situations, her base of worshippers fluctuates as they die off, then increases again as a new person or group finds themselves facing strife or adversity.
  
  General mortal reputation: Aisyr was once loved by the oppressed, the downtrodden, and the countless unbroken souls who continued to struggle for survival even when the world itself was being devoured by the God War, while hated by those who would rule over others. After the end of the God War, she was forgotten by most, and is no longer loved as she once was, though she’s still quite hated by the ruling class. Aisyr has found growing support amongst those who would resist the rising power of the Inquisition in the modern era.
  
  Unique withering effects: Aisyr's presence in the world is weakening, slowly fading from the memory of mortals. Physically, she has begun to slowly petrify, turning into stone. This change only happens while she is still for a period of time.

  Unfettered: The deity of Freedom cannot easily be contained. Once, this meant that Aisyr could not be held by chains, bindings, or cages of any form. Now, that power has weakened, only allowing her to slip out of mortal chains and ropes with a touch, or lessen the strength of greater bindings.
  
  Flight: Aisyr's wings allow her to fly at great speeds while in her divine form, and can be manifested in her mortal form to allow for somewhat slower flight. No longer can her wings carry her, weakened as they are. They can, however, be used to glide or slow her fall to a degree.
  
  Inspiring Presence: Aisyr may use her domain of Will to inspire those around her to press forward against all obstacles. Since the end of the God War, this power only manifests itself through spoken word, and only as a pale reflection of what it once could do.
  
  Divine Quest: As Goddess of Adventure, Aisyr can send a message to any mortal adventurer, providing them with a quest on behalf of the gods. In its weakened state, the mortal must be nearby, and the message is no longer clear, but rather a vague, momentary compulsion.
  
  Boon: The greatest mortal adventurers throughout history were often given boons by Aisyr either to help them complete their quest or as a reward for doing so. While such boons used to hold great power, granting superhuman increases to strength, allowing one to utilize minor magics when they could not do so before, or allowing one to heal from a single fatal wound, amongst others. Now they do little other than grant small boosts to one's stamina, strength, or endurance.

  Celestial Era: Aisyr felt the drive of the mortal races to break free of the chains of fate and live in a world where they are the least of all beings; witnessed their righteous anger as those of their kind with strength subjugated them and declared themselves the tyrant-kings of ancient times; listened as the first mortal adventurers fought the elements, great beasts, and their own wavering hearts. And for each and every one that fell, never to reach their potential, she wept and made a vow to never let the fire that is the mortal soul burn out. For centuries after, Aisyr would wander the world in the guise of a simple traveler, appearing where needed and kindling the hearts of men, elves, and halfolk. For every tyrant that fell, one could find a story telling of a strange wanderer who would give the oppressed just enough of a push to fight and win their freedom. To the greatest amongst the mortal races, those who strove the furthest and fought the hardest against fate, Aisyr would appear in her full divine glory, and grant a single boon to reward their unbreakable will.
  
  God War Era: Throughout most of the war, Aisyr was staunchly neutral, refusing to fight for either side and choosing to instead remain hidden amongst mortals, helping them survive against the calamities wrought by battling gods. When word reached her of the clashes between Yr-Sannem, whom she named her greatest rival and most detested deity, and the God of War, Severed Heaven, Aisyr finally chose to come out of hiding. As the two greater deities fought, she worked to lessen his powers over Tyranny and Chains. When Severed Heaven began beating Yr-Sannem back, sending him running to hide and lick his wounds, it was Aisyr who found him and led the God of War to him.
  
  Heretical Era: After the end of the God War, Aisyr returned to her old ways. Once again, she wandered the world disguised as a traveler, kindling the hearts of mortals. No longer, however, would she appear to them in her divine form or grant boons, weak as she was from the War. After the fall of Shiie and the subsequent formation of the Inquisition, both of which Aisyr learned of after the fact, she dedicated herself to encouraging the faithful innocents of the world to worship in secret and rebel in their own subtle ways against the oppression.
  
  Major creations: None of her own making. She does have a golden halo that was created by Bari, which sheds divine light on the surroundings and hovers silently above her head. She used to channel her inspiring presence through it, steeling the will of all who were touched by the light. It has lost much of its power in the modern era, no longer capable of hovering or channeling her power, but still giving off a bit of light. Aisyr tends to keep it in her backpack while traveling.
  
  Relations with other gods:
  Grimm – Aisyr has a surprisingly close friendship with Grimm, often spending time gossiping over tea with the older deity. She tends to view him as a crotchety old grampa or an older uncle, depending on Grimm’s mood.
  Guardian – She thinks he’s a swell guy, even if his interests have narrowed a bit too much over the centuries. Still, he does good work, and she can’t fault him for that.
  Tes Nenet – Aisyr thinks Tes is just the best. Kind, motherly, likes mortal kids, really there’s not much about the goddess that Aisyr doesn’t like.
  Severed Heaven – He’s a bit intimidating to Aisyr, but he is in her good books after he slew Yr-Sannem. She’d just rather let Grampa Grimm deal with him.
  Pauper – She gets on Aisyr’s nerves. The defeatism is just too much for her sensibilities, so she tends to avoid interaction with the deity.
  Belgrin – Aisyr does not like Belgrin in the slightest. In fact, she considers him one of her greatest rivals after the horrors he and his worshippers committed in the War.
  Ectu – She is rather leery of Ectu and doesn’t like the potential he has to harm mortal life.

  Personality
  Much like the moon, Jericho has many faces. The one her mortals see is a smiling and caring one, full of wisdom and love for their affairs. Unfortunately, this is just a reflection of a long set sun, and try as she might to be an endless source of warmth, Jericho does not have a very long social endurance. Staying in crowds or conversations for too long quickly exhausts her, and she must retreat into the solitude she prefers. Since the war she has grown more reserved than before, and struggles between yearning for close connection and the fear of loss and betrayal.
  
  When she has enough energy for socialization Jericho is friendly, though in a dry and often teasing manner. She holds herself and others by very strict standards and is unafraid to call out others in not so subtle ways. With a sweet, moonlike smile, she can speak bluntly and often harshly without so much as missing a beat. While Jericho looks calm and sweet with all her smiles and friendlessness, she is moody and downright wrathful when it comes to it. Her anger will build up undetected, and when unleashed can often take others by surprise. Though it may take time to truly evoke her wrath, it will seep out as a cool rage. Despite being reserved, Jericho cares greatly for the world and is unafraid of chaos and violence if it is for the sake of the greater good.

  Jericho doesn't blame mortals for how they reacted and understands their reasoning. Are gods truly needed? She finds herself pondering this question often. Gods have caused even greater damage and pain for lesser reasons than the Inquisition. Perhaps it is for the betterment of creation that their divine powers die. Yet even still, she cannot justify the butchering of innocents, especially her dear fae, whom is all she has left of her brother.

  Divine appearance:
  As a god of metamorphosis and moon, Jericho's true form naturally waxes and wanes in a cycle. Her glory might have passed, and yet her cycle continues... albeit in a withered state.

  ​ A stage that occurs whenever Jericho dies through mortal means, is greatly wounded, or once every lunar cycle (on a new moon). Her body breaks down and regenerates within a cocoon of ice that is durable, though can still be broken with enough force or heat. The cocoon is about the size of an ostrich egg, and is cold to the touch and glows faintly in the dark. This unique process of revival has given Jericho a resistance to the corruption's effect on her body, but does little for the erosion of time on her mind.	​ When Jericho breaks out of her cocoon she will be in a small and vulnerable form that is about the size of a cat and twice as fluffy. Her mortal disguise will also be affected, looking quite younger than she should be. While weaker than her full form, Jericho is still capable of producing ice and moon magic. Interestingly, Jericho's wings are fully formed in this state, though disappear as she grows back into her full form. Unlike her full form, she can fly but does so only when necessary.	​ Once a towering monster that struck fear in the moonlight, borne on six downy wings that blotted out the stars. As her power wanes, Jericho's form has shrunk with her divinity. Reduced to the size of a wild-cat (tiger or lion), the lunar beast may be smaller yet is no less ferocious. With sharp claws and fangs, and a powerful tail, this form makes up for the vulnerability of her larvae and pupae forms. Her ice/moon magic can also be used in this form, and is empowered in the moonlight. Though armoured, her defenses have withered and her stomach and spaces between her scales are vulnerable to damage. As a reflection of her avoidance of flight, Jericho's once glorious wings have grown vestigial and useless, now only seen as frills along her back.

  ⋇A blue or clear crystal (any that look like ice) carved into the likeliness of a cocoon, typically with a new-moon engraving. Worn as a trinket or necklace, especially during a transitional period of life.
  ⋇(archaic) A dead moth pinned to a window or doorway. It was a ritual done by the desperate and hopeless, who wished to leave behind their lives and forget. Under the moonlight, the goddess would whisk them away, transforming them into mothborn.
  
  Status of worshippers
  Jericho had always been favored by the desperate, eccentrics and outcasts, and in these uncertain times those worshippers have been easily snuffed by the inquisition. When her power declined, Jericho was unable to answer the prayers and rituals of those desperate for metamorphosis, and has lost their faith. Those who longed for relief would then gaze up at the moon, distant and uncaring, and curse it. There is a folk legend of a ghostly woman guiding lost travelers caught in snowstorms, one that was celebrated in one village on every winter's solstice, but this has since been stomped out for fear of the inquisition. Jericho's only real worshippers are the remaining moonfae and mothborn, both of which are on the verge of extinction.
  
  General mortal reputation
  Long have mortals gazed up at the moon in both reverence and fear. Afterall, to appreciate the beauty of the moon, one must first understand the lurking danger that comes with night. Jericho is regarded very much the same. Misconceptions and confusion during the war gave birth to monstrous tales of a moon-beast murdering beloved gods and dragging away mortal children from their mothers. Very few understand the sacrifices and devotion Jericho undertook to preserve the mortal races of the world, though this cannot be helped. Her role as Cyrus' twin sister has also tarnished her reputation among mortals, who thought her thievery of mortals was a means to terrorize the world in her brother's name.
  
  Unique withering effects
  ⋇Prolonged metamorphosis. Once limited to the night of the new moon, Jericho’s metamorphosis now takes days to complete. Her growth through this stage is slower than ever, leaving her vulnerable and weakened. Even while in her fullest form, she is hardly a shadow of her former self.

  Current powers:
  ⋇Ice dust: Long ago the moon goddess’ wings could conjure up a blizzard powerful enough to entomb an entire area in ice. These days Jericho can make a small cloud of ice particles that will freeze things upon contact. If the cloud is violently disturbed it will trigger a freezing reaction similar to a tiny explosion. Alternatively, she can touch something to slowly freeze it, allowing her to solidify items and even small areas of water. The dust is produced from her wings, but can be conjured from her hands when appearing as a mortal.
  
  ⋇Moonchild: Just like the moons, Jericho is a source of softly pale light. She can produce a glow to illuminate dark spaces, or conjure up a small orb of light that is brighter depending on the current lunar phase. It can levitate in an area for a few minutes before fading away. She can only create one at a time.
  
  ⋇Moonrite Metamorphosis: Jericho still has access to a shade of her divine form, the moon-beast, albeit in a highly weakened form. Broken up into cocoon, larvae and moonbeast, Jericho’s form follows a pattern every new-moon or death (via mortal means). Due to anti-god measures, its very rare that Jericho is able to use her moon-beast form, and most of the time it is in a weakened state. When she chooses to appear as a mortal during this time, her mortal form will also be weaker.

  Celestial Era
  In the dawn of days, Jericho was never far from her twin brother, Cyrus. Shortly after their birth they gazed upon creation and sought to bring light to the endless expanses of cosmos, together creating the suns, moons and stars. To keep a balance between the searing, yet life-sustaining light of the sun and the cold, yet soothing glow of the moon, the twins created the cycle of night and day.
  
  In her youth, Jericho was a mischievous yet loving goddess, prone to trickery just as much as she was generous in her blessings. When mortals were first created she immediately began to make a habit of disguising herself among them to play tricks on the careless and teach the observant about the mystery of the universe and the wisdom that could be learnt therein. The societies they made were too tame for her liking and it became a personal hobby to urge them to run wild and eccentric under the moonlight, a sentiment that many still feel on the eve of a full moon.
  
  Before the drums of war rang out, Jericho and her brother were on good terms with many gods. Cyrus was always the social butterfly, outgoing and generous with his warmth. Jericho was never one to linger in crowds, and yet she always tagged along with her brother to visit the other deities. Among them, she grew close to Tes-nenet and her family. Even Shiie, back then, was considered a dear friend, one whom unlike many others, could sense the unknown truths beyond the reach of even gods.
  
  Perhaps it was an ill omen when Jericho received her weapon, a gift from Cyrus and made by Bari. As a creation of the forge god, it was a glaive of unmatched quality, attuned to her unique domain.. and yet Jericho saw no need for the thing. She was proud of her claws and fangs, assured by the raw might of her divinity. It took exceptional convincing on Cyrus’ part to get her to learn the ways of armed combat, but eventually she gave in. Over time she began to enjoy Cyrus’ sparring lessons and looked forward to improving her skills. It was an innocent hobby, one that Jericho never expected to be poisoned in the future.
  
  God War
  When war sprung up among the gods, Jericho was horrified. Gods, who at one moment were friends, now tore at eachother like wild beasts. Meanwhile, helpless mortals were crushed like maggots underneath them. Most of all, she hated how it saddened her brother, who as god of justice, felt responsible for it. Knowing that this conflict would lead to unmatched destruction, moon and sun decided to stand up to the ravaging gods and protect the wanton slaughter of mortals.
  
  To this day, Jericho could not say just when Cyrus became the warped god mortals know him to be. It haunts her to know that she couldn’t see the sickness of his delusions until it was too late. She might not know when her beloved brother fell from the point of no return, but she will always remember when she realized it.
  
  It was the battle between the earth, sun and moon, one of the bloodiest Jericho could remember. Mortals lay dead and broken in mountains, and the blood of gods ran rivers across the earth. Even the moon itself had been stained red. The cursed zones had already taken hold of the world, and Cyrus had become obsessed with the idea of ‘Corrupted Gods’. It was only until this battle that Jericho realised just what those words truly meant.
  
  Many gods had rallied to Cyrus’ side, and yet that didn’t stop the sun from turning his swift ‘justice’ onto them. Gods and mortals alike, even those who had no part in the fight but to preserve life were cauterized in the final judgement. Jericho protected as many as she could when she realized what was happening, yet even still the damage had been done. Among the fallen lay Hayati, child of Tes’nenet.
  
  Jericho confronted her brother for his crimes, and only then glimpsed just how deep his madness went. Unable to kill him, Jericho threw down her weapon and abandoned her brother’s side. As for his people, the summer fae, Jericho stole them from him and hid them far from his reach.
  
  It was the first time she had been separated from her twin, and the pain of it tore a deep rent in Jericho’s heart. Yet even in the depths of pain, betrayal and rage, Jericho refused to stay idle. The world bled and she could hear the cries of the mortals lost in this hollow war her brother was now fueling. Determined to preserve as many lives as possible, and distrustful of all gods, Jericho turned to a desperate plan.
  
  Just as she had stolen her brother’s people, she would become a thief in the night, whisking away mortals to somewhere they could be safe… even from their own gods. On moonlit nights Jericho would descend upon the cities and towns of mortals, leaving nothing but empty homes. She placed these stolen mortals in cocoons, where they would await in slumber for a time when peace was restored. They were then hidden away within Jericho’s realm, one she defended viciously from any god that would get too close. To ensure the safety of the brood, Jericho kept their existence a secret, even if it meant garnering a monstrous reputation.
  
  Mortals could never understand the truth of Jericho’s actions, and soon she became a symbol of dread, an omen of their patron god’s death or impending doom. Afterall, she most often chose the orphaned worshippers of dead gods or those that were already too far gone in corruption and war. She swiftly became known as a heartless scavenger, gorging herself on the helpless cities of mortals when their gods had either died or had turned their attention away.
  
  Jericho would strike with cunning and swiftness, often during times when a god was busy in war or were otherwise preoccupied. However, a clean escape with her precious cargo was not always possible. There were times when Jericho would be cornered and confronted by the gods she stole from. In these instances she would neither baulk nor explain herself, only challenging the god for the right over their mortals. If they hadn’t the strength to endure her wrath, they had no right as protector of their people. She was bested several times, nearly dying in a few instances, and yet the spoils of her victories outweighed it all. The death of the opposing god was never her idea of a win, and her victories would mostly end with an injured or incapacitated god… yet sometimes she was left with no choice.
  
  Her brood grew by the day, but her tireless protection came under threat with the spread of the corruption. It encroached upon the brood, forcing Jericho to ask for help in another god. Tes-nenet was the only one Jericho trusted enough with her secret. Together, they moved the cocoons far away from the cursed zones. It was thanks to this interaction that Jericho became aware of The Divine Council, and decided to pledge herself to it. The rest is history.
  
  Heretical Era
  When the chaos had passed, Jericho gave the mortal cocoons to Tes-nenet for redistribution and left. There was no desire to take credit for their preservation, nor did she believe it would do good to challenge their misconceptions about her. It was better they believed the life goddess had saved them from a monster than to enlighten them to the truth.
  
  No longer needed in the nursing of cocoons, the summer and winter fae were free to explore the lands again. A new court was established from the fusion of what remained of the Winter and Summer courts, and new mothborn were settled into their forest homes. As always, Jericho answered the rituals of mortals wishing to become mothborn, but was careful not to allow her presence to be known.
  
  Jericho no longer led the fae as she once did, yet due to their tearful begging, she agreed to still stay as a friend to them. She would often sleep in their groves during the day, a habit she developed to avoid the light of the sun. The protection of the mortal cocoons had been her only driving force during the war, and without this purpose Jericho grew restless in the mortal era. Before, she would have enjoyed the opportunity to meld into mortal society and play her usual tricks, yet the lonely dawn of this mortal era left her weary and reclusive. She took to wandering the wilderness at night, and occasionally strolling along the edges and empty streets of civilizations. Though she remained distant, Jericho’s protective nature remained as strong as ever. Under the guise of night, she would attend to lost travellers and the troubled hearts of the sleepless. They were small things, but Jericho did her best to mend their troubles anonymously. Farmers would wake up to find their lost sheep returned, or a maid would find their torn dress miraculously repaired by the morning.
  
  Then Shiie struck. Jericho wouldn’t have believed the news had she not arrived to see the carnage herself. She arrived shortly after Severed Heaven had contained the threat, but she did not wait to hear her old friend’s explanation. Nor did she care to talk to the old war god. She turned her back to both of them, and in silence entered the burning rubble of a city.
  
  Jericho avoided all contact with gods after the Yolan incident and has not been seen by any god since its fall. Not even the fae know where she is. Even as they are hunted down and killed by the inquisition, they prey for the return of their goddess.

  Tes-Nenent: A close friend before the war, yet one that Jericho hid her motives from for the longest time. When she had no one else to turn to, she entrusted the life goddess with her secret and asked for help. Tes-Nenent was entrusted with Jericho's precious cocoons after the war, and since then has had minimal contact. This was cut off entirely after the Yolan incident.
  
  Grimm: Death is an essential part of life, one that Jericho understands. She respects the reaper, whom she is glad has grown away from The Lady of Light.
  
  Pauper: Jericho understands the goddess' pain at the loss of her sister. Her efforts to protect mortals during the war meant Jericho had one less god to steal from.

  Guardian: While an common acquaintance before the war, Jericho's opinion of the sky god soured with the war. She views him as nothing but a god who cowardly hides a violent nature under the excuse of 'protection'. She believes that he only protects for the sake of protecting, and nothing more.   Altaqua: Jericho had little interactions with the sea goddess before she became corrupted. Her only memories of the goddess were the poisoned waves and wrath, which she and Cyrus had to deal with.
  
  Belgrin: Dangerous and self serving, Jericho knew a few gods that were eaten by the greedy serpent.
  
  Shiie: The goddesses of mystery and secret would gather together often, and became good friends during the ages before war. When the war sprung up, Jericho lost contact with her friend and even had to drive her away from the slumbering brood. After her attack on Yolan, Jericho broke off contact with all the gods and retreated into solitude.
  
  Severed Heaven: despite his best attempts at courtship, Jericho was never interested in the bombastic and often egotistical god. More than a few times, she would tease and trick him for her own amusement. When the war broke out, Severed Heaven was immediately considered an enemy for his bloodthirsty ways. When she and Cyrus joined the war, Jericho faced off against Severed Heaven on the battlefield.
  
  Cyrus: Her twin sibling, and once her closest friend. Jericho fought with him in the beginning of the war, but left his side whenever he began to spiral into madness and brutality. His death struck her deeply. Over the centuries she has struggled through the grief and grown from it, but a part of her will forever feel missing. She hates her brother for what he did, and mourns what he once was, and not what he became. In a way, he died long before is actual death.

  Personality: Marzena's been living a lie for the majority of her divine life. She felt insecure and isolated, having been born as the Goddess of Madness. Instead of receiving the adoration of sentient beings, she instead garnered their fear and hatred. Most steered clear of her, and the only ones who acknowledged her sought to deprave themselves or corrupt others. So she hid herself from the world, instructed her followers to worship in secrecy, and abstained from interacting with sentient beings for many an age. Needless to say, she dislikes this aspect of her and has taken every step she could to hide this from all beings mortal and divine.
  When Marzena finally re-emerged as the Deity of Dreams, she was a lot more outgoing and confident. She felt proud and satisfied of the influence and impact she had on mortal lives and reveled on the newfound love and worship she received from humanity. As someone who was deprived of it for so long, she became addicted to mortal adulation and completely neglected her duties as the Goddess of Madness in favor of her newfound purpose.
  
  Her negligence has come to haunt her to this day, especially during the Night of a Thousand Tears. She blames herself for having allowed such madness to occur in the world because how could such a senseless and tragic event be called anything other than madness. Marzena wonders if things could have been different if she had stayed in her lane and remained faithful to her primary duties.
  
  After experiencing the withering, she has become a shadow of her former self, often plagued with indecision and self-doubt brought on by the thoughts in her head which she isn't even sure are her own. She desperately wishes to maintain the connection she had with mortals that she had enjoyed before the war but has reluctantly agreed to the Council's non-interference mandate.

  Status of worshippers: What little worshippers Marzena still has were divided into two factions. Those who know her as the Mistress of Madness have remained in secrecy just as she had instructed them eons ago. Their faith in her has remained steadfast, and they've went to great lengths to keep the faith and propagate their religion. Meanwhile, those who worshipped her as the Deity of Dreams have also learned to worship in secret, resorting to creating miniature statues and effigies to worship her incognito.
  
  General mortal reputation: During the height of her worship, people flocked to Marzena's temple to offer their praises and wish for pleasant dreams and protection from nightmares. Queues of people would line up to slip pieces of paper that contained personal requests for dreams in exchange for offerings. Sometimes, the deity would personally listen to requests. Meanwhile, she hasn't personally appeared to the cult that worships her as the Deity of Madness ever since she instructed them to go incognito ages ago.
  
  Since the advent of the Heretical Era, however, worship of the Deity of Dreams is on the verge of being forgotten. While she used to enjoy lavish worship and praise in her temple at Oniria, worship of her has devolved into hush whispers to dolls, small statues, and effigies owned by those brave or desperate enough to sought her help. On the other hand, the Cult has remained steadfast in their faith, having built secret chambers inside mountains, deep within forests, and even underneath cities all in an effort to worship the deity and receive enlightenment through her gift of madness.
  
  Unique withering effects (such as memory loss, etc):
  
  Withering-Induced Madness - ironically, the Withering's effects on Marzena have caused her to suffer from madness, although she is unaware of this. Instead, this corruption manifests as a "voice" in her head that she falsely recognizes as her own. it whispers insecurities, creates doubt, instills guilt, encourages self-loathing, and ever so slowly corrupts her mental state.
  
  Current powers:
  
  Dream a little dream - the ability to conjure dreams and nightmares. Marzena used to easily be able to create and manipulate dreams and could simultaneously influence humanity's dreams. However, the effects of the Withering coupled with the Inquisition's persecution have diminished her control over dreams. Currently, she can still perfectly manipulate the dreams of up to 10 people, but her control diminishes if it exceeds this number. Still, this ability can affect a small town.
  
  Slumber's Beckoning - Marzena can forcefully make people lose consciousness up thanks to her control over sleep. She can use this ability on anyone 2 meters around her. However, using this ability is taxing on her and she runs the risk of incapacitating herself the more she uses it within a short period of time. She has a "sleep pool" which she can draw upon to render people unconscious. The more people she puts to sleep (or the longer she makes them sleep for) the less she can use for the next person. This pool replenishes daily although it doesn't stack. People put to sleep by this ability can be awoken if the sleepers are disturbed (such as being hurt, shook, sprayed with water, or significant noises). 10 people could be put to sleep at a time, with them being rendered unconscious for 15 minutes, though the potency goes up when less people are targeted and 1 person could be knocked out cold for 8 hrs though this isn't practical.
  
  Waking Nightmare - targets put to sleep by Marzena can be stirred ever so slightly and placed into a state of Sleep Paralysis before witnessing visages of things they fear the most. The fear targets experience in this state of utter helplessness can cause something from soiled undergarments to death through cardiac arrest, though this is rare and only happens if the target is unhealthy or weakened. In her current state, Marzena is unable to keep this spell up for long periods and is limited to 10 sleeping people.
  
  Somnus Aeternitas - Arguably one of Marzena's most powerful abilities, it puts the target in a never-ending slumber. Nothing can wake beings affected by Eternal Sleep and the spell can only be broken with Marzena's permission. Unfortunately, when her powers diminished, so too did her ability to cast this spell and wake others affected by it.
  
  Whispers of the Abyss - Marzena has the ability to induce madness in others. A person's descent into madness depends on the potency of the spell she casts, ranging from a slow burn degradation of the mind brought on by fear, hallucinations, and paranoia, to instant breakdown of sanity. Instant insanity is beyond her after she experienced the withering but she can still instill hallucinations, confusion, and fear in a target. Some targets will be more vulnerable to this than others. If she focuses on casting this spell on one person for an extended period of time they could probably break down into a panic attack. Effects will start to wear off over time when she stops actively using the ability.
  
  Fear Itself - Marzena can choose to appear as the greatest fear of those who behold her. However, this is only limited to 10 people and is strongest when applied to more than 5 targets. Since every individual is unique, some people may be more affected by it compared to others. The illusion will fade over time, depending on Marzena's stamina, and its effectiveness diminishes with repeated exposure. One of the main reasons she chose her current form is to appear innocent and harmless especially when she realized that she can sometimes subconsciously activate this ability after experiencing the Withering.

  Celestial Era
  
  Madness existed ever since the dawn of sentience and Marzena was present since the first mortal races have opened their eyes and started staking their claim over the world. Unlike the other gods, she was uncertain of her purpose. She wasn't able to create greenery, provide protection, or offer prosperity and viewed her powers as a curse for how could madness benefit mortal lives?
  
  Yet she envied her peers who received the love and praise of the mortals for the respective blessings they provided. So naïve and desperate as she was, she decided to involve herself with humanity as well, "blessing" them with madness. Needless to say, her attempt to be part of the lives of mortals didn't end well. Some were driven to insanity almost instantaneously, becoming violent savages that ended their own lives or killed everyone around them.
  
  Marzena tried taking back the madness she unleashed on the world but the damage had already been done. Not only did thousands of mortals perish in that brief moment when they were affected with pure insanity, she couldn't entirely get rid of her either. Madness had rooted itself so deep in the mortals' psyche that each and every person that existed and will exist would have the potential to devolve into that state.
  
  Most gods and men did not take kindly to Marzena's mistake. A lot of her peers shunned her as they lamented how unmistakably "flawed" mortals have become and mankind feared her, except for a small group of people who revered her power. Her predicament meant she was isolated from a vast majority of her peers and worshipped only by madness-crazed followers. Most of the gods seemed content on letting her stagnate in some cave in the middle of nowhere and letting her spend the rest of her days in solitude... except for one.
  
  Her first encounter with Einar, the God of Nobility, was filled with suspicion and distrust. Most of the other gods didn't want anything to do with her after the incident she caused, and she felt that even some of them harbored ill will towards her. But Einar's persistence gradually paid off and she slowly began to trust him. He encouraged her that although blessing humanity with madness had some largely negative effects, the outcome wasn't entirely bad. The lingering traces of madness present inside all mortal creatures have also prompted them to explore their creativity. Geniuses were born out of those brave enough to follow absurd ideas and step out of the box. But even though Marzena took solace on the unforeseen positive effects of her gift, the incident had scarred her deep within and she refused to come out of hiding and mingle with mortals again, even if it meant a slow and painful death.
  
  "Well then, we'll just have to find something else you're good at. Something they'll love you for."
  
  Those words signaled the start of Marzena's new life. After Einar helped her realize that she could also create something known as "dreams" she decided to share this blessing with mortals. Unlike before, mankind appreciated the gift of dreams. It allowed them not just to receive fanciful visions of fantastical worlds, experience blissful scenarios, and find relief after a hard day's work, it also gave rise to a new source of inspiration. Artists and sculptors would recreate the visions they saw in their sleep. Poets and Bards would sing of the worlds they traversed in their dreams. And writers would pen tales filled with magic and wonder.
  
  Thanks to her second gift to humanity, Marzena found herself receiving the same love and praise she had yearned for all these years. And with the passage of time, humanity, and most of the gods forgot about her transgression. She was no longer, Marzena, the Mad Goddess, but Marzena, the Deity of Dreams.
  
  Decades after Marzena's re-emergence, Einar proposed a plan she couldn't refuse. The two of them formed the Kingdom of Oniria, a nation where all could enjoy and pursue their dreams, ruled by the virtues of Nobility, Chivalry, and Purity. It was a utopia, where every citizen looked out for one another and everyone from elders to children could smile genuinely in happiness and contentment. Marzena and Einar led Oniria into a prosperity and their civilization became the envy of both gods and men alike. In those days, she had everything she had wished for: the love and praise of her own worshippers, a thriving nation, and a partner she could trust. She was contented if everything had remained like that... but as she would eventually come to know, all good things must come to an end.
  
  God War:
  
  The God War was a difficult and confusing time for Marzena. Friends she had come to know since her ascension as the Deity of Dreams began ripping each other part. Mortals from across the world were snuffed out by senseless infighting. It was as if she was transported back to the time when she unleashed madness into the world, only this time, it was the gods who had become thoughtless savages. When she first heard about faraway towns and cities getting annihilated because of the war, Marzena and Einar knew that the conflict would soon arrive at their doorstep. And so they prepared for it the best they could.
  
  The two of them accepted refugees running away from the chaos that had enveloped the world. Meanwhile, they fought fiercely against any god that dared to threaten the kingdom they've worked so hard to create. With both her Dreameaters and Knightmares and Einar's Chivalric Order, it seemed like they could fend of any threat that wandered into their kingdom. But as if moths drawn to a flame, god after god after god arrived to lay waste to Oniria... and god after god after god they were forced to cut down for the sake of protecting it.
  
  But as Marzena grew weary of slaughtering her own kin for the sake of her people, she noticed Einar was reveling from it. Slowly, the god who had given her everything, the person that stood for nobility, chivalry, and purity was turning into something unrecognizable to her. Instead of being contented with defending the kingdom, Einar had started launching expeditions of his own to conquer neighboring territories controlled by other gods, leaving her to defend Oniria by herself.
  
  Soon, she heard news of a new threat, some sort of corruption that cannot be fended off by mere blades. As soon as she learned about the corruption, she realized that it had taken hold of Einar long ago. After he returned from one of his bloody expeditions, Marzena confronted Einar about his actions. She pleaded for him to stop his quest for violence and remain in the kingdom with her. But her pleas fell on deaf ears. She told him about the corruption and how it has twisted him into becoming warped and unrecognizable from the man who taught her to be better, but he justified his actions, claiming his old self did not have the resolve needed to bring peace, freedom, justice, and security to their nation.
  
  "Then the god I love has truly been lost"
  
  Those words made something inside Einar snap. Having thought he had been betrayed by the person closest to him, he drew his sword against Marzena and the people he had sworn to protect. Their clash was as fierce as it was bloody. Having truly descended into madness, Einar indiscriminately unleashed his blade at everything that moved, while Marzena struggled to keep him at bay. Every time her scythe collided with his sword, Marzena desperately hoped that Einar would come back to his senses, but with each innocent life he took, Marzena knew that it was impossible. It wasn't just the two of them fighting either, as her Knightmares and Dreameaters tried in vain to defend the people from the onslaught of his knights.
  
  In the end, Marzena was forced to make a choice between Einar and what survivors remained from the citizens of Oniria. Begrudgingly, she used her full power to unleash a spell so powerful, not even a god could resist. Somnus Aeternitas, she called it... the Eternal Sleep. That spell signaled the end of what would later be known as The Night of a Thousand Tears... as well as the fall of Oniria.
  
  The Council arrived just as the last of Oniria's citizens scattered to the four winds and came face-to-face with a broken Marzena, inconsolable as she sat beside the sleeping God of Nobility. After learning of their plan to banish corruption once and for all, she agreed to join them, with the condition that they would safeguard Einar's sleeping form. Despite the tragedy she experienced, she still firmly believed that there was a way to rid him of his madness and corruption.
  
  Heretical Era:
  
  After the end of the war, Marzena felt Einar's absence deeply. She felt alone, and isolated in this new and foreign world, and she started doubting her actions that may have led to this outcome. Had she not poured all her focus and attention in being a deity of dreams, could her powers of madness made a difference? Could she have had enough power to drive away the insanity and corruption that had embedded themselves in her beloved's mind? Could everything have been avoided if she had just learned to know her place instead of challenge fate and her role in the world?
  
  Despite how much she missed the mortals' praise and adoration, and her powers when she was in her prime, she adhered to the Council's edict and cut off direct contact and intervention with humanity. After being stripped of her role over dreams, she noticed that mortals have been dreaming less and less of happy and blissful dreams and have been experiencing nightmares more often. As much as she wanted to help, her activities were limited by the Council's non-interference pact.
  
  When she caught word of Shiie's betrayal, she rushed to Yolan, only to find it had suffered an all too similar fate to Oniria. She lamented the destruction of the city and the death of the mortals, but also regretted Shiie's death. While she wasn't close with her, Marzena felt that she could have at least tried to use the same spell she used on Einar to subdue her without taking her life.
  
  After the Inquisition's rise to power, Marzena became more distant to both gods and men alike. She chose the form of a young, and innocent girl to avoid suspicion as she wandered the world in search of a way to restore her powers or eliminate Einar's corruption.

  Grimm - One of the few gods that did not shun her after her mistake with madness, though he did give her an earful. She's invited into his tea parties and they gradually became good friends. Although he complains about how mortals see him in the nightmares they experience, she likes to tease him that their perception of him is beyond her control, even though she could have done something about it,
  
  Guardian - Before the War, Marzena did not have much contact with Guardian. However, when she and Einar began taking in refugees, Marzena began hearing of another god who benevolently welcomed refugees and placed them under his protection. When particularly powerful gods tried to invade his territory, Marzena and Einar helped him thwart the invaders and Guardian has done the same to help Oniria. She respects what Guardian had done at the time although she is saddened to hear that the withering has caused him to forget his memories.
  
  Bari - Marzena hasn't had much contact with Bari other than the time when Einar brought her to him to commission her artifact. Still, she respects him and his skills with the forge and considers him a formidable ally.

  Personality: Ultio once was quite the caring soul, filled with optimism bordering on naivete at times. At least, one would hope it was naivete given how serious he seemed to be about asking about the necessity of war. To the young god, battle seemed frivolous. After all, why fight when one could enjoy some pranks amongst friends and get along? Why should one win a disagreement through blows instead of debate? Such flights of whimsy in tough times often could be seen as weakness.
  
  However, one would be wrong to presume him harmless. Although Ultio much rather would have peace amongst the mortals and gods, he wasn't above putting others in their place. One who seeks peace should be prepared for war, as they say. How could peace come to be, if grievances are left unaddressed?
  
  By no means did Ultio seek out fights, at least in his eyes. After all, why does it matter if he wasn't personally involved with a matter? A wrong should be avenged regardless. Be it a merchant scamming someone over bread, or a warlord slaughtering a town, Ultio will not let those who prayed to him become prey! It is claimed that Ultio remembers the name of every being who has prayed to him.

  Fears: The biggest fear Ultio harbors, is the fear of his worshippers dying. Stemming from this fear, is a fear that he'll grow accustomed to it. If he were to be honest, there is also a little haunting voice in the back of his mind that he fears. A voice telling him that he should let the Inquisition prevail, that this is merely the vengeance mortals are reaping for damage done by the divine during the war...
  
  Goals: The main goal that Ultio pursues, is his ideal of peace. A world where every wrong has been avenged, where he'd no longer be needed as a sort of divine arbitrator. Albeit not as high up on his list of goals, Ultio does also aim to evolve his understanding of vengence. After all, sometimes merely making things even just... Doesn't feel right?
  
  Ultio also harbors some desire to find where his old village once was, albeit this is less a goal and more just a whimsy of his.
  
  Thoughts on the inquisition and anti-divinity: Ultio is... Conflicted about the Inquisition and the stance of anti-divinity. On one hand, as a divine who deeply cares for his worshippers, he's rather opposed to a group who wishes to hunt his followers and wants him to cease being. On the other hand though, he... Kinda understands the sentiment. As God of Vengeance, he completely understands the sentiment of mortals wanting to get back at the divine for their actions in the past. Parts of him even outright agree with exacting revenge on the divine, though one has to question if that's just an effect of the withering or something more nefarious in his heart.

  Symbols of worship:
  Dead Man's Coin - A coin depicting on one side a bloodied dagger, and a grinning fool on the other. Often left behind upon corpses, or near a corpse left behind. Favored by assassins or vigilantes.
  Frothing Chalice: A chalice filled with a variety of poison. The stronger the poison, the more devout the worshipper. Often favored by alchemists.
  Bull-Headed Amulet: Often inscribed with "Mess with the Bull, you'll get the Horns" on the back. Some say this symbol came about as a joke by Ultio himself, and was usually worn around the neck or kept within a pocket.
  
  Status of worshippers: Of those that pray to Ultio these days, they fall mostly into three camps.
  
  The first is the remains of an ancient assassin order that started during the war. What was once a relatively large group of well trained killing machines, has become a small group of scattered vigilantes. The name remains almost unchanged, but the methods have degraded a long way. About the only secret that has remained intact over the years, is the creation of the Dead Man's Coin. Due to the risk of being caught with such coins, they only are made the day before a job is carried out.
  
  The second group is comprised of mostly wandering alchemists. Although they mostly peddle cures, rumors abound about what they could make if presented with a specific coin and phrase. Amongst their ranks, a hierarchy has been formed around one thing. Who can create the most deadly of poisons? The more reckless of them have, on occasion, been known to accept bribes to administer poison directly from a chalice. This is usually their downfall however, as the Inquisition often is the one doing the bribing. Whispers of the devoted claim this to be a curse from Ultio...
  
  Finally, the smallest of these three groups are those who turn to the divine when their family is taken by the Inquisition. This group is the smallest since those who fall deep into devotion oft end up emulating one of the other groups of worshippers, and those who aren't as devote about it either just never knew of Ultio, or end up renouncing it when Ultio does not deliver divine retribution upon the Inquisition.
  
  General mortal reputation: During the God War, arguably at the height of his worship, Ultio was seen as a kind but wrathful God. Those who were his faithful believed him to be a loving god, and extraordinarily kind. Willing to hear them out on the smallest of issues, seeking to make amends in just about any feud.
  
  Those who were on the receiving end of his wrath however, never saw the kinder side of him. They witnessed leaders they looked up to be stabbed from behind. Watched as his followers poisoned days worth of supplies to halt armies advancing. Saw how uncaring he was when a swindler's family starved once their provider was in turn swindled and left penniless.
  
  In the Hererical Era, Ultio's kindness has long been forgotten. To the average believer, he was merely one called upon to smite one's foe. One who would make the wicked pay for more than they took, and in turn deter future wicked deeds. To the less devoted, or those who have dropped the faith... He's uncaring. They wanted to watch the world burn, and took the lack of flames to mean he abandoned them.
  
  Unique withering effects: The Withering has most prominently attacked Ultio's mind and morality. Where once Ultio was satisfied with getting even, he now seeks to make them suffer. It is not enough to merely see the same pain inflicted for him, it must be even worse to remind them that one is not weak. The kindness he once shared freely is now rarely seen. It is not out of love for those who reached out to him that he now seeks to make things right.
  It is hate for evil, not love of his fellows that drives him now.
  
  This isn't to say it's avoided his physical form entirely, however. Ultio suffers greatly for his incursions into the cursed zones and ingesting his ultimate poison, the Basilisk Venom. Replicating the effects of the cursed zones in which the ingredients for the poison came from, Ultio is slowed due to the pain emanating from his poisoned blood. As the Withering saps his strength, his body becomes ever more sluggish from the pain.
  
  Current powers: (Anything marked in red is something Ultio can't do at the current time)
  
  Hydra's Blood: Ultio's blood contains the remnants of his greatest poison ever brewed, utilizing materials found on the edges of cursed zones. When his blood is spilled, one best be covered head to toe. Once, even a single drop could kill a mortal if ingested. Of course, it took more, but some say even gods aren't immune if enough gets into their system. Nowadays, it takes considerably more to kill a human with his blood alone, but it still is a potent poison that could knock one out of commission for a few hours.
  
  Miasma: During the war, Ultio's mere presence could weaken mortals as if the very air sought to sap their strength. Extended existence within his presence was said to even sap the divine of their strength, albeit not as much as a mortal would be. Legends talk of a time Ultio's wrath had been brought down upon a band of warriors raiding towns of his followers during the war. Not a single hand was raised by the god, but each one dropped dead, foaming at the mouth. Ultio refused to allow his followers to handle the deceased, taking them himself. Rumors say they were safely disposed of in a cursed zone.
  
  Vigilante's Virtue: Ultio's strikes are enhanced against one that he's aware of having done a wrong. By infusing his very essence into his blows, Ultio's thirst for vengeance empowers his strikes to a godly level. Nowadays, it just barely makes up for his lack of fighting skill by making his punches strike with the force of an average trained mortal.

  Celestial Era: Ultio didn't exist yet. Thus, he could not do such a thing.
  
  God War: Little is known of the God War nowadays, and even less is known of what Ultio was actively doing. Short of a Dead Man's Coin left on a body, any assassination of a leader back then could've been him or his followers' work. Any case of a mass poisoning could be ascribed to war tactics or his own retribution against a nation. Rumors abound that even other gods worried of a blade in their back if they weren't careful. Of course, such talk is merely rumor. As far as any god is aware, Ultio did not kill another god during the War. Did he debilitate any? Debatable. Did he attack any other gods? Only in self defense, or defense of his worshippers.
  
  However, to speak from a perspective of one that was actually present during the war, Ultio remembers far too well. The first moment he could recall, was seeing a mound of corpses. All sorts of mortals, bodies twisted and mangled. Faces turned upwards, as if begging the heavens to explain why this happened. Something about this sight tugged at his very being. This scene was wrong. So... So wrong. Could he tell what caused this? Not in the slightest. Mayhaps they got caught between two divines fighting? A mere casualty of war between two nations following their god's intentions by attacking another? It mattered little. Either by mortal blade or divine crossfire, Ultio vowed to make amends. Not through battle, but through protection.
  
  It started small. The first group of mortals he came across, he'd defend against the attacks of a bandit group. Was he a great fighter? No, but at the end of the day it was mortal vs divine. If he'd wanted it to be, it could've been a slaughter. Instead, he beat them soundly, and then spared them. Over time, he'd begin to create a little safe haven for them. Albeit, it came at the cost of him wishing to interject with just about any issue where one wronged another, it was otherwise about as safe as one could be in those times.
  
  Around the time that the cursed zones began to appear, Ultio had two hamlets and a village under his protection. Through little more than avenging the weak and instilling fear in those who sought to abuse them, he'd created a following. It just all felt... Right to him. The mortals deserved to have their wrongs righted. The mortals and divine alike deserved to be shown that none are beyond the consequences of their actions. It was around this time Ultio began to experiment with his poisons. He'd done enough fending off the occasional nosy god to know that he's not exactly a match in a one on one brawl, so he was hoping to make something that could weaken another divine so as to get an upper hand.
  
  Desperate times call for desperate measures though, and one day after barely fending off another attack, Ultio decided to attempt something risky. After all, he knew just a little bit about the curse zones, mostly from his own little trips into such spaces both knowingly and unknowingly. The way it made him feel weaker, the way his ichor felt like it was lit aflame when he entered its radius... It called to him. If he wanted something to cripple a god, it would be found there. So, he left his people to find what he needed to protect them better. It'd be months before he returned once again. Just ducking in and out of the edge of the cursed zones, doing his best to keep exposure limited as he looked for what he needed. Chemical burns cover his arms and hands from this ordeal.
  
  Once Ultio returned, the once peaceful vibes he had cultivated were somewhat disturbed. Not because the locations he was meant to look over were destroyed, but the introduction of a new group. Whilst he was gone from the hamlets and central village, someone had to defend the population, and that group turned out to be headed by an assassin whom Ultio had spared during one invasion of his territory. This sparked an epic... Five day debate between Ultio and the many members of the, as they named themselves, Ultio's Blade. A debate over the ethics of creating what was basically an assassin's order and the morality of taking a life for pay. Although initially quite opposed, Ultio was eventually moved by the arguments of his mortals.
  
  So moved was Ultio, that he'd donate his lesser poisons to their cause. Certainly nothing that could harm a god, but well, Ultio did feel mildly bad for any mortal who'd taste it.
  
  With assistance in guarding the hamlets and village under his protection, Ultio would begin to grow content. No longer needing to respond to every intrusion upon the land, his free time would grow. With idle hands come bad ideas, and in this case it was Ultio deciding to test his poisons upon himself. It started off relatively well, simply ingesting poison in growing potency. It wasn't until he tested his ultimate creation, Basilisk Venom as he called it, that something really took hold. Much like when he prowled the edge of the cursed zone to find the ingredients the ichor within his body was lit aflame and he felt weakened. That was the last thought he had until he awoke about an entire month later.
  
  Once he awoke, things had changed once more. Albeit, far from the semi-positive change of before. No... This was quite negative. The village, which held his sole church, had been abandoned. It was only the lack of blood and evidence of flames that told him the people left instead of being killed. As for why? The expansion of the cursed zones pushed them out. If he'd been out even a few days longer, he imagined he'd have been swallowed up by it...
  
  Ah, but that's rather irrelevant. The rest of the tale is rather lame for the God War. When the idea of the council was proposed, Ultio was quite eager to go with it. After all, he wanted revenge on the cursed zones for taking his home from him. When it resulted in the loss of power, he was... Honestly okay with it. The divine were at fault, the biggest punishment should lie upon them.
  
  Heretical Era: Ultio, for the most part, took to simply relaxing during the beginning of this Era. It was something new for him, a way to branch out a bit. In his mind, he'd been born out of the desire for vengeance held by mortals caught up in the crossfire. Now that such things had ended, he'd simply wanted to discover a new place for himself. The last things his worshippers had heard from him was a request to change the name from Ultio's Blade to literally anything without his name in it. It's said he didn't even bother hearing the new name before he left.
  
  With his newfound freedom, Ultio once more worked on his poisons and took up a new hobby. Well, less a hobby and more a difference in how he approached the world? He became curious, choosing to explore the world that his fellow gods had, he's like fairly certain, created. He'd wander through open fields and up mountains questioning what it was he saw and why such things were like that. Some might call it a waste of time honestly...
  
  This routine was interrupted when the Shiie incident occurred. Not necessarily because he'd abandoned everything to investigate Yolan, but more for the questions it posed. For example... Was this a god's nature? Are they predisposed towards destruction? Why else would this happen after the Council's imposed rules?
  
  Questions like that kept his attention, even as the Inquisition began. It was in part why he never settled anywhere. If the gods are naturally destructive, and the Inquisition was trying to wipe out their believers... Then he should not find rest anywhere. If it is not his nature that destroys whatever he finds, the Inquisition likely wouldn't be far behind to do so for him.
  
  Home location: Ultio doesn't feel he's got a home anymore, not since that village and nearby hamlets were swallowed by the cursed zones.

Personality;
Ectu could be described as a man of focus and devotion. A man of few words, a man who speaks through his actions and hard work. A man that watches others with focus and a man who plans accordingly, one who has not many friendships but the few he has are the most loyal of friendships, he is a man who goes through with the,”ride or die” saying. Even if his loyalty is with one who doesn’t give the same loyalty without him being aware of so. A man that cares for his creations and will do anything for their well care and personal seek out that they have a chance of survival.

Ectu is generally pretty hostile towards the inquisition, often finding them public enemy #1, especially after the mass genocide of his creations and monstrous creations.

Status of Worshippers;
Given that he is the god of Darkness, Abandonment, Hopelessness and Monsters, his worshippers were one of the first to be hunted down by the inquisition, seeing them as monsters too for worshiping a god of monsters. Now his worshippers are in hiding constants fearing the day they are found by the inquisition.

General Mortal Reputation;

Mortals often think of Ectu as one to be feared by his devotion and care for all of his creations, often in the night Mortals are reminded constantly of Ectu’s existence in the shadows, and his possible appearance watching in the shadows, lurking. Though I’m this current time mostly no mortal fears Ect naturally.

Unique Withering effects;

Ectu suffers from great mental pain , loosing his soulmate effecting his mental state and causing him to lose his past self and sanity entirely. Only devoted too his revenge no matter how long it takes.

Current Powers;

Darkness Manipulation
Using his own hands, Ectu can manipulate the darkness around him, able to make weapons of all sizes and shapes, able to summon multiple dangerous objects at a time. Though given the current time, Ectu can’t summon nearly as much as he could in the past. Back then, Ectu was able to summon hundreds of things at once from the darkness able to posses the power of killing armies with ease. Now he is only able to summon one thing from the darkness at a time. Once he has used the ability multiple times he will have to recharge and unable to use it until it is done recharging.

Curse of Hope;
Ectu’s very existence could cause mortals and other races of creatures to be devoured by hopeless causing them to cease from doing anything and abandoning their loved ones. Now, when fighting against others, Ectu is able to manipulate the minds of others causing them to loose any hope of winning against Ectu.

God of Monsters;
In the past, Ectu was very known in the god war to be very unpredictable when fighting him, able to manipulate his body into monstrous features and shape his body into different shapes and parts that are extremely deadly, catching many gods that fought him by surprise, slaying gods with the unpredictability attacks. Though now, he isn’t even able to achieve a small portion of this and only able to communicate with monster races and species, as well as able to change one of his physical attributes into a monster’s physical attribute.

Celestial Era;
In the beginning, there was nothing but darkness. No life, no light, no earth, nothing, nothing but darkness. Ectu is an old old god, being isolated mostly avoiding others , until gods appeared, and another, and another, and another god to appear, soon there was tons of gods to co-exist with Ectu, though many kept their distance from him. Though he didn’t mind really. Eventually the gods began to make beings, humans and other races. Seeing this Ectu was highly peeked in interest and amazed from the life that the other gods made together, the life was beautiful and filled Ectu with joy seeing how life could be so beautiful. And as the races were made, another god found their true domain. This god was named Aveila. Ectu was quite taken back and curious of the goddess, being the most beautiful woman in existence was a wonderful achievement. Even if the goddess was constantly talked to by gods who were intrigued by her too, she was humble with her beauty, and even more interesting was how she was devoted to taking care of the races the gods created and her pure personality.

Watching the life being created by the gods and goddess soon motivated Ectu to make his own race, putting multiple hours and hard work into the creation of his race he finally achieved it. Though instead of receiving the same overwhelming sense of accomplishment and joy, he witnessed the other races hurt his race, known as ‘monsters’ by the mortals. Being overwhelmed by the sense of confusion and sadness, Ectu was deeply confused why his creations weren’t having the same form of care and love from the other gods and why only him felt a sense of joyful accomplishment from the creations, while many were annoyed by his creation entirely, while his monsters were often attacked, Ectu would watch in hopelessness, watching the humans kill his creations, and his creations killing them in retaliation was hard to watch and even harder to still feel accomplished creating them. Though unexpectedly a single goddess shared the same feeling of joy seeing Ectu’s creations, Aveila. The goddess even approached the god, embracing him and praising him for his accomplishments and his creations. Soon the two gods found themselves to have many more interactions with each other, often conversing with each other and giving one another gifts of their own, eventually after years and up years have passed forming a bond with each other, the two found themselves in love with one another, Aveila seeing Ectu as one of the nicest and caring god of them all, seeing him as not as a monster but as a man who loves his creations for what they are. Though of course the two came to mutual agreement to keep the relationship in secret from the other gods until the two thought it would the the rightful time to do so.

Godwar Era;

During the god war era, Ectu tried his best to stay out of the war, even forcing his own monsters to stay away from the war and to stick to specific zones and areas that would be safe for them.

Often sticking to himself and staying neutral in the war with the god of death, The reaper, or know better as Grimm. Though of course, he sought out for Aveilas wellness, often doing small favors for her when she needed it, keeping their secret love for one another unknown to the other gods.

Though, it only took time until tragedy struck the lovers. Aveila, while defending her shrines, was killed in the war, by the hands of the god of war. Severed Hand. The two of them battled with each other after Severed Hand had destroyed one of her shrines, and when the dust settled, Aveila would be killed.

Ectu not knowing of his beloveds demise, was struck with overwhelming amounts of rage and hopelessness. Once he arrived at the aftermath of the fight, looking at her corpse….sent him into a fury.

It did not take long until Ectu found out who killed her. And once he did, Ectu knew he would have the blood of Severed Heaven on his hands, and that his closed one’s will not be able to even tell if the corpse in front of them is Severed Heaven. And Ectu was quickly feared in the god war, killing left and right, killing multiple gods who aligned themselves with Severed Heaven, and anyone who was his friend. The blood of his friends and closed ones and anyone who got in his way on his path to revenge….. was in his hands.

Now all that was left is Severed Heaven to face the wrath of Ectu.

Heretical Era;

After the god war, Ectu would still be focused and devoted on his path of vengeance for his beloved Aveila. Ectu roamed the earth searching for his loves killer.

Rumors and even legends and stories of a man wearing a iron mask began to grow in popularity with the mortals, describing him as a blood-lusted monster that seeks battle no matter the warrior that dares seek battle with them, and of course all warriors were defeated and killed by him. Giving him the name of the mad metal wanderer.

  personality: The once-burning flame that was Cyrus has long since burned out, becoming dull embers that can never burn bright again. Cyrus' once optimistic self has become a dull pessimistic man who can best be described as someone waiting to die. Another notable change about Cyrus is that the fight inside him has long since died. He no longer seeks battle or prosecution of the guilty; rather, he no longer fights at all, preferring to be a pacifist. He takes great pain in harming others to the point that the sight of blood causes him to panic. He is plagued with flashbacks of the war and haunted by his actions. This has left him with a low sense of worth, seeking to punish himself in any way he can. He ignores his own injuries and needs, willing to put his life on the line at any moment for another. He is still friendly like he was before the war, but part of it stems from desperation to be forgiven, even if he himself does not want to be. He now stops and enjoys the world around him, valuing every life higher than his own. He has mellowed out quite a lot and is extremely hard to anger or rile up.

  there are many who looked to the sun for guidance. Those who wish for it favor their crops and produce a large harvest. There were those who wished upon a star in the night sky to bless them with something they desired. And there were those seeking to enforce or receive justice, even those who wanted to escape it. Those who looked up to him were many, all coming from different walks of life. There are even a few in the Inquisition who, in secret, look up to him not only for his justice but his old mission to eradicate gods.

  many mortals fear the wrath of the sun, offering blessings to protect their crops from harm or even themself. Though one common trait is mortals, like gods, believe him to be dead. That decreased his worshippers, but those desperate or hard believers still believed his wrath and power exists beyond the grave.
  unique withering effects: chronic pain that comes in random bursts that leave him unable to move and in extreme pain. It has also weakened his body leading to him breaking bones and being injured easier. The time inside his phoenix form has also been reduced and can only be used once per day.

  butterfly form: a form where he is in the shape of a butterfly, activated after he receives fatal damage to himself. He is the size of a typical butterfly in this form and can not speak. He is stuck in this form for a day before returning to his normal state.
  human form: the form he prefers to be in, which appears like a normal human. He can produce wings to fly within this form, something he used to pride himself on deeply. However, he no longer uses them as a form of punishment for himself.
  pheonix form: a form of a large butterfly that looks similar to that of a phoenix. His fire is significantly more potent in this form and buffs his other magic. After the war, however, this has decreased along with the amount of time he can be inside this form. The longest he can stay in this form is an hour, and only once every five days. Aimar, however, doesn't like using this form as he finds it inhibits his ability to fight. This form is famous for raining fire onto the battlefields during the war. In this form, he is roughly the size of a pterodactyl.
  
  *fire manipulation: Aimar can create fire out of thin air and manipulate his own fire along with other forms of fire. He is no longer immune to fire and heat-based injuries, though he still has some resistance.
  
  *judgment: by weighing something on a scale against a person, they can see if they are guilty of the accused. This can also be done to determine if someone is lying about something. This can be done with any scale or one created out of his fire as long as he holds it.
  
  relics: An expertly crafted longbow made from his own bones. The relic resides inside his body unless summoned forward. If it leaves a certain range from him, it returns to him. Aimar uses his fire magic to create its arrows. The bow also has a sharp edge on it so that it can be used to hit those who get too close. It was crafted with the help of Bari

  activity in the god war: during the god war, when Aimar was still Cyrus, he banded together gods who wanted to end the conflict that was being caused. Originally they would protect each other and take down evil or excessively violent gods. Over time, however, the corruption and power began to get to Cyrus, and those who disagreed with him became his targets. He became the extreme he wanted to remove, attacking innocent gods like evil. As this continued, the gods against him left him, and even his sister abandoned his side. Cyrus became desperate to show his worth and tried to do so by finding the cursed child he sensed one day. This battle, however, did not go in his favor, as the curse she inflicted destroyed his sight, and the battle ended with both of them being gravely injured.
  
  for everyone but Cyrus, this is where the story ended, the god of the sun disappearing into history; this was not the end. Cyrus was found by some humans and taken into heal, though their mortal medicines did little to help. Cyrus had lost his fight and craved to have been let die, but the family wanted none of that talk. These mortals nursed him through the war and the creation of the artifact. While Cyrus became closer to a mortal, he outlived the family and took over their farm to live out the rest of his days.

  Jerico: a once close relationship that got destroyed by Aimar's actions during the war. Now thought of as dead, Aimar still thinks his sister hates him and always will.
  post god war: as time passed, the glow from the god of the sun, Cyrus, faded. His once bright gold locks lost their colours, turning into a dull white with only flecks of gold remaining. The desire to fight and live had also seeped out of him as he became unrecognizable to those who knew him. He was discovered only when the previous holder of the name Aimar got close to his farm one day. Aimar, knowing only of the old Cyrus, attempted to fight him, only for Cyrus to refuse. Aimar was shocked but decided to fight anyway, Cyrus beating him swiftly from his extensive combat experience. Aimar did not give up, returning each day to challenge Cyrus in hopes of defeating him. As time went on, their relationship grew more friendly, the battle more light-hearted as Aimar grew to know Cyrus as who he was. It wasn't until the day that Aimar did not show up for their daily battle that Cyrus learned of the Inquisition. Aimar gave him his name in his dying wish, letting Cyrus show the world the good still inside him as someone who was not beyond saving. With his new name, Aimar was shrouded under the last remaining power of Aimar and given his key to take his place on the council so he could protect the world.

  Personality: Sen'arric has lost a lot of the swagger he had in his youth. Gone is the arrogant and self assured god who believed his title made him stronger than everyone. Replacing that swagger is melancholy and apprehension and guilt. So much could've been prevented had he not believed his own hype. Though his appearance is now that of a younger man Khirin comes off as cynical, pessimistic, and weary as someone well into his years. A perpetual grump.
  
  He just wishes to be left alone with his regrets and hates to be inconvenienced whether it be by his own goldly brethren or inquisition members. If they are a hassle he will not hesitate to go through them. He has done so much damage what's a few more regrets after all?
  
  Personal strengths: He's determination is almost unshakable. Once he sets out to do something he will do whatever it takes to accomplish it.
  
  Personal weaknesses: His guilt makes him more susceptible to provocations and causes a lack of inpulse control. Sen'arric is still in there and will like to test his might against the best even if it's not a good idea.

  Thoughts on the inquisition and anti-divinity: He believes that there are some merit to their complaints and actions but detests the idea of harming innocents in the name of progress. It makes them no different than the gods they claim to loathe. He has no quims with putting down any members that cross his path.

  Status of worshippers: Any person seeking to make a name for themselves in combat has at one point prayed to the god of strength. Soldiers, mercenaries, sell swords, drunken fools who's bark is worse than their bite are all seek the patronage of Sen'arric's grace to give them strength. There are also the one that seek his light not for fame or glory but for the strength to make the choices that others cannot. For the strength to make the hard choices.
  
  His most prominent worshipers are the Peerless Scarred, named after their lord. Men and eomen who believe nothing more than to test their strength and prowess against the best of the best. Easily recognized by the scar placed above their right eye. Due to their hubris and the easy to spot scar the inquisition has had no trouble tracking down many of the Peerless but that just makes them crave battle more.
  
  General mortal reputation: Sen'arric was beloved by the general mortal populous. Strength is something all people need and want whether they be the strongest in the world or the weakest street urchin. He was beloved because he is necessary.
  
  But even now when worship is all but outlawed and the gods have fallen out of favor, his named is still whispered in hushed tones by all those who seek the strength to do what needs to be done.
  
  Unique withering effects: His strength has begun to fade in and out every now and again. Some days he's capable of lifting heavy rocks on other days he's barely capable of carrying his own weight. At first they were sporadic but over the years they've become more and more frequent and last longer.

  As of now Khirin can only muster a fraction of his former strength and endurance but as it stands it is still more than what most could ever accomplish. Capable of leveling large trees with a single swing and crumbling boulders with a punch. His entering allows him to keep travel over large distances without feeling exhaustion.

  Sen'arric's Light:
  For those that show exceptional skill or bravery they are basked in a glowing light where all illiments and injuries are healed. Their physical capabilities are also enhanced beyond humanly possible. It is also an invitation by Sen'arric to enter his realm and live among him and the mightiest.

  The Time For Parting:
  
  For those who are willing to give up what matters most to them Sen'arric is willing to grant any wish within his power related to his domains. The sacrifice must be something meaningful or it won't work.
  
  Carried Artifact?:
  The Golden Vambraces were Sen'arric's most prized possessions. They were imbued with a part of of his divinity and allowed for the user to complete feats of incredible strength.
  
  During the God War Sen'arric slayed many of his brethren and after each battle blood stain them until they soon lost their shine. the golden shine was replaced by a gray-black dullness. Sen'arric believes they're reflecting his own mental state.
  
  Now they no longer have either the spark of divinity nor the golden shine but Khirin still wears them as a reminder of his sins.

  Activity in the god war: During the God War he sided with Cyrus. Not because he believed his cause just or acceptable but the idea of a war between gods where he could prove once and for all that he, as the God of Strength, was the strongest of all was too good to pass up. It wasn't until the bodies where too high to look back did he realize the error of his ways. After that he lived among humanity helping out where he was needed most and ignored most of the fighting.

  Backstory: God War: (I'll try to also fill this bit out more after plotting with some people)
  
  Heretical Era: Once he lost most of his divinity Khirin found no need to remain Sen'arric so he discarded that identity and began traveling the world as a means of trying to live as humans would but to also assuage his guilt for chasing his own pride over protecting people. He lived in secluded village away from the bussle of the major cities for years until Yolan happened.
  
  Though no fault of his own Khirin guilt for once again not being able to help, which only caused him to retreat further into his solitude.
  
  Many years later as word of the rise of the inquisition and their atrocities made it's way to him, Khirin decided that he wouldn't put the few people in his little village at risk and packed a bag. Though the guilt still clawed at him he'd at least keep these people safe from suffering because of him.
