The trio see a legless hydra with huge arms comes out into their view.

"Jesus! What the hell?!" The stranger exlaims back up before tripping backwards

"Oh my gosh! Is that A hydra!" Raksashi exclaims

"Yea....It is..." Beatdown confirms in awe and confusion

"Focus you two! Rakasashi, the beast is roughly your size! You handle it while we procure the ring!" Asura orders

"Ugghhhhhh....O-Okay...." Raksashi says still looking on with surprise

The stranger looks to Terrir ins surprise when she suggests a retreat "A safe place....A safe place?! What part of "They've been hunting me for 3 days straight" did you not understand?! There is no safe place from these guys! When I thought you said you guys were heroes, I thought you we were gonna fight these guys off!" She exclaims angered and panickied

"Beatdown! Hit them a sonic!" Asura orders

Beatdown snaps out of it before point her gauntlets outward "You got it!" A sonic wave is blasted at the three girls

Troy smiled proudly, the cheers of hundreds of thousands of Asgardian peoples filled the grand arena. He took multiple glances around the arena, nodding towards his parents in the highest stands, and locking eyes with his guard and close friend, Astrid. "I've got this," he tried to mouth in her direction, "Quit looking so scared." Astrid was very anxious whenever Troy stepped onto the battlefield, and had barely left his side during the Jotunheim Charge. Not that it was a problem, but she sometimes forgot he was an Asgardian war god as well. Not that it was a problem. Troy sometimes went in over his head. She humbled him, and it was something he refused to take for granted.
oluE_B7P_400x400.jpg

His eyes turned now to Thrud as her voice pierced through his cheers. His smile thinned into a smirk, tilting his head sideways slightly. "Now what fun would that be, elder sister? Deities of war should face off on the grandest stage possible. It's only appropriate, yes?" With that final question, Troy squinted his eyes, his green piercing through the clouds of dust and concentrating on Thrud. His grip tightened around Jarnborn, the indestructible, and Troy took one final breath as the horns blared. At the moment, he recalled the Misgardian slang, 'Show time.'

Troy took one step forwards, and leaped hundreds of feet in the air. He raised Jarnborn over his head, and threw the axe down at his sister. He could hear the crowd roaring as the metal blur of grey and brown zipped down towards her at tens of miles per hour. He himself would descend the same, hoping to smash the ground towards her with his fists.

"Don't worry, Lydia. Nat stays here. Let's go get these newbies and debrief the Mexico re-con." Wally interrupted the Archer. He took a quick glance at Ollie, slightly sorry at the outcome of his Avengers testing. Well aware of the bond between Nat and him, he retreated from his spot beside Natalie and ushered Lydia to follow him into the hallway. Wally was more serious than usual, way more, and was silent most of the way down the hall. He pressed the elevator button downwards, and stepped in, allowing Lydia to follow in after. Turbo pulled down the cowl of his green suit, and the orange HUD appeared before his eyes. "Friday, prep the secondary Quinjet and mission reports. We're on our way."

'Mission prepped. The Quinjet is ready when you are, Wally.' Friday's voice blinked through his suit.

"You excited for this re-con mission, Hawkeye?" He smirked as he spoke to Lydia. Wally hadn't lead a mission- ever, and was more than anxious at the moment. Not that he would let on to Lydia. Or was his new demeanor doing that already? As the elevator came to a halt at the lower levels, Wally would exit the elevator, slightly ahead of Lydia as he headed to the training room. "Friday, can you pull up the new operatives for this mission?" As he asked, the files of 'Ophelia K.D. Murdoch,' and 'Octavia Delano' appeared on the screen. "Sweet Lydia, we've got Daredevil's kid and a-" Wally squinted slightly at the words written on her file. "Sonokinetic. Vibrations and stuff. Hope they're not too rusty." And with that, Wally retracted his Avengers I.D. card from a pocket in his suit, and tapped it against the door of the training room. A green light blinked alive, and he pushed it open.

"K.D. and Harmony? Mission number one starts now, follow me or you'll be late, ladies. Briefing on the Quinjet."

Astrid's eyes were locked on Troy. She studied almost every aspect of him : posture, demeanor, even if his armor had been put on properly. Her eyes widened when Troy locked eyes with her. Squinting to see his lips, she saw what he was mouthing. As much confidence she had in him, she still considered him a bit arrogant and foolhardy. She slowly shook her head in response, as to say "No, you don't. Focus."

Sometimes Astrid forgot everything except what she was looking at. Taking a look at Thurd, she quickly analyzed her demeanor. She seemed relaxed, so at least that made Astrid let out a rather easier sigh. "...At least they're in sync." A quick smile flushed on her face as she heard what Troy said, raising her right gauntlet to her face. "Nope. Troy is more showboating than before." Astrid couldn't help but have a smile on her face as she looked at Troy again.

As the horns sounded, she saw that Troy had taken a rather safe position, thinking he would advance straight and dodge her spears on the ground. "I might be wrong. He might actually-" Her smile quick faded as she saw Troy leap towards his sister, arms up above his head, leaving his body exposed. "-Orrr not!" The gauntlet came back on her face, this time her expression being annoyed. "Note to self, scold him later." She had a distinct accent, although it didn't seem nordic.

Thrud sees Jarnbjorn approaching her fast and shakes her head "His ego knows no bounds." She couldn't help it though. She didn't mind this either. Thrud rolls forward so that when Jarnbjorn strikes the ground, it would be behind her. She uses Duris to launch herself into the air at Troy, and collides with him as the crowd cheers as now the fight is airborn and descending. "Good job throwing your weapon away, fool!" Thrud taunts as she wraps her arms around his waist and aims to pile drive Troy as the descend to the ground fast

Guthrum walks up besides Astrid and looks up at the two siblings "It has started, hans't it?" He asks his fellow swordservant. The siblings never ceased to amaze him. All the ever seemed to do was fight. Every hour of the day they tussled. It was as if they could play ball or a board game. It always had to be a show of strength and wit for them. He would lie to himself though. Their fights were entertaining though they could've easily have done this on their balcony back at the palace.

Troy's eyes widened for a second as Thrud calmly sidesteps the wraith of Jarnborn, in a KAPOW behind her. The arena shook, and dust lifted where the axe had descended. "Disciplined dodge, but that was a beautiful throw, sister."He said for only her to hear. Thrud herself ascended towards him, and as she neared, he quickly took hold of the hilt of Duris, forcing the battle axe towards her chest and creating space between them. Troy pulled his other hand over onto the axe, pushing against Duris and Thrud, hoping to force her across the field of the arena. Through this, Jarnborn shook slightly as the dust collapsed, levitating slowly from the crack it'd found itself stuck in. Behind Thrud, the enchanted battle axe's floated turned into a full flight behind her, and sparingly, only the wooden hilt was aimed towards the back of Thrud's head. "Surprise, surprise."

Astrid Validottir
Astrid took the gauntlet from her face, looking next to her to see Guthrum. "Oh, hey Guthrum. If by it you mean this circus, you missed the opening act." Seeing Thrud jumping as well, she couldn't help but groan. "He's lucky they have the same mind set." Astrid let out a small smile, when she saw Thrud wrapping her hands around his waist. "She could've just ended this, but, well, chip off the old block I guess."

Now it seemed that Troy finally started to think on the fly, witch made Astrid smile more, it turning to a grin. But, before she could say something, she heard Troy announcing quite loudly what he was doing, taking the grin off her face. With her arms crossed to her chest, she looked at Guthrum. "Even though they've been fighting everyday, he still hasn't learned not to announce his advantages loudly." Even though she seemed to be in full scolding mode, Guthrum could see a glimmer of a smile on her face. Astrid, although looking serious and strict, she still enjoyed to see a good fight.

Even though Troy seemed very brash and indecisive, Astrid admired his capacity to think on the fly and fearlessness. It was like he really wanted to die, but could not. She just chucked it to being the god of war, but at the same time she could not shake the feeling that Troy would still be as reckless even if he wouldn't have those powers. That was what Astrid admired and observed during the Jotunheim Charge . Seeing the prince launching himself in front of everybody like a crazy dog made Astrid join him, in order to protect him. Oddly, Troy never seemed in real danger then. Not even when Astrid would pluck a giant that was ready to land a lucky shot on him, followed by her desperate "Watch your damn flank!", sounding almost like she was commanding.

While reminiscing and being lost in thought, Astrid's posture changed : her arms lowered, and were now on the edge of the low wall in front of them, leaning closer, like she wanted to get a better view, a rather curious smile on herself.

Cassie rolled her eyes at Perry. "That's not what I-- nevermind. We can talk about this later." She heard Finn speak into her earpiece and then felt his presence behind her. "Good to know. I'll keep an eye on that hall." She said with a small smile as Connor began to give orders. "Didn't bring my suit with me this time. I'm happy playing support from back here." She nodded at Finn and turned her attention back to the cameras. "The shift isn't supposed to change for another twenty minutes, boys. Let's get to the pod before then, yeah?" She muttered, eyes trained on the hallway with the three people.
"Friday, can you get me the audio for that hall?"
"I can try."
"Thanks."

CASSANDRA
Following her response, Cuska slammed his hands down onto the counter with excitement, nearly knocking down the pitcher. "H-HEY WATCHTHEPITCHER!!!" Cassandra shrieked, practically throwing the top half of her body at the precious lemonade. Nearly in unison, the two immediately began to fumble with it, attempting to prevent any spills. After some time, eventually the pitcher laid in a resting position with the precious beverage still being intact. Cassandra gave a sigh of relief as Cuska began to continue speaking, though as he went on the two couldn't help but snicker at the level of importance they've placed towards the drink.

“I swear we always have the stupidest of moments over these drinks. But apart from that, how exactly do you plan on escorting me into the Avengers?”

"Mmmm..." Cassandra covered her mouth, attempting to hastily put together some sort of plan in her mind.

“I don’t think I can just easily waltz in there with you, without some sort of personnel becoming heavily suspicious of us both. Nor would I think they’d be fond of my existence as Gamora’s and Starlord’s son..."

There was a moment of silence between the two as Cassandra took a small sip of her lemonade, hoping its heavenly taste would bring for an ingenious plan. And after a short while Cassandra gave her friend a mischievous look. She's come up with something. "Well, who says we need to care if someone's suspicious. I have a spaceship that's pretty sturdy, let's just crash the thing into the tower and nab some files," Cassandra smirked. She was obviously messing with him, though she still paused for a few seconds, letting Cuska wonder if she was being serious or not before she continued.

"I'm kidding! Okay, that was a joke," she grinned, clapping her hands together. "But really, let's just walk in and see what happens. Dunno what happened between your parents and the Avengers, but it's not like Captain America and all of em're still running the place. I'm sure Cassie'll be fine with us walking in, it's just a matter of getting past...her first."

By 'her' Cassandra was referring to Constance. While a friendly enough person, she doubts she'd let a stranger such as Cuska waltz into restricted areas of Avengers tower. She's simply doing her job, though in this case her job could possibly throw a wrench at the duo's plans.

LYDIA LEMIRE
"Don't worry, Lydia. Nat stays here. Let's go get these newbies and debrief the Mexico re-con."

"Hm? Oh—uhm, sure," Lydia replied, turning towards Wally. This was still her first day with the main squad of Avengers, though she assumed her relations to their West Coast offshoot was enough to grant her more status compared to new recruits. Wally took the lead for the most part, with Lydia simply trailing behind him. She was still new to the general building layout—she hadn't been in almost 90% of the rooms in the tower, though she felt like she was beginning to get her bearings.

"You excited for this re-con mission, Hawkeye?"

"Never really done this kind of thing before, not sure how it'll turn out," Lydia answered nonchalantly. She's never led a mission before or even been to Mexico for that matter, the mission seems to be full of new experiences for her, and she was unsure if it was either a good or a bad thing.

As they headed towards the training room, Wally pulled up both of their trainees' files. The two accompanying them seemed to be the child of Daredevil and an individual with sonokinesis. She was just glad there was someone else at least almost as normal as her coming onto the mission, being around people with extraordinary abilities has a tendency to make her nervous. "So how long's the mission? A few days, a few hours?" Lydia asked Wally. She was already adjusting to life in New York, she'd rather not be thrust into a new environment for too long.

PERRY PARKER
"We go left, knockout the four with a simultaneous strike before they can alert anyone else. Perry you come in from above, Isaiah you'll take out whichever one is closest to the wall. Finn, if you think you'll be alright adding another jump in I'd like you to pop out on the other side of them and take down the furthest one. Meanwhile Rigel will sneak me in close to take down the last."

Perry nodded in response to the plan, it was their best option after all—incapacitate the four guards while taking the shortest route to their objective. Both Isaiah and Finn agreed as well, and with that, they began to mobilize. Finn put on a fighting stance in preparation of his teleport, while Isaiah melted into the wall. Perry himself climbed up the wall once more, reaching the ceiling. He silently crawled towards the guards, until he was roughly fifteen feet from his target. "Ready on your call," Perry whispered into his earpiece.

Morgan

Turning away from the Hydra and the tear she looked towards the events unfolding in front of her. She hoped that they would back off... but the chatter between the three began to make Morgan's stomach turn... they were going to try it. Morgan took a step back, her heart racing as she watched one of them begin to move. A second later she was slammed by a sonic blast sending material up and into her face. With a wince of pain the tear shuddered before Morgan's eyes went wide. Blood began to drip down from her nose, her ears beginning to bleed and immediately she turned her head up to see the first of the three heads come out from the portal, the monster charging through, its summoner having been hurt.

Immediately it began to lash out at the largest target, its three heads moving with purpose and intent, venom visibly dripping from the opened maws. Where one head would be a formidable opponent, the hydra brought three to bare at once. Striking from above, the middle head went directly for the throat, the left going for the left thorax and the right going for the right thorax. The attack coming with a bestial rage akin to a mother protecting its child. The scene before her made Morgan stare, everything began to crumble internally as the one thing she dreaded came to pass, the creature was through and she didn't have a means to reel it in... at least while it was fighting. "Terri, I am not so sure everything is going to be okay... I was certain they were going to back off." Morgan spoke, the blood continuing to drip down, her mind racing to try and reign in what was happening. "Im not sure if I am more worried about them... or the Hydra... I am leaning towards the Hydra."

Cliff Barton (the other Hawkeye)
Location: Casa Barton (Hells Kitchen) -> roofs of hells kitchen, supremely pissed of, slightly crazed

The first thing Cliff was conscious off was a huge shock wave passing through her apartment and throwing her off her couch and face-planting her on the carpet. And her hearing aids fell out at that exact moment. She yelled loudly as the room continued shaking (not that she could actually hear herself). "couch, shit no!" Grabbing her hearing aids, she shoved them back in, this only made things worse. Who or whatever was on the roof seemed to be yelling at each other. Could they not? She was trying to sleep for hells sake!

Well luckily there was no problem you couldn't solve by shooting arrows at it. Well there may be a few, like dentististry or maybe removing arrows from stuff, but that wasn't the point. Standing up, Cliff started pulling on her gear. Her suit was simple and took her less than a minute to completely put on. She grabbed her bow, sword and quiver full of arrows from the wall mounts, luckily they hadn't fallen off.

With that she opened the window and climbed out. Her apartment was right beside the ladder to the roof. In a smooth motion she swung ontp the ladder and began to climb. Reaching the rooftop she was greeted by a truley bizarre sight to say the least. She did a double take, just to make sure she was seeing was what was actually there. Cliff, you, moron, what are you doing with your life? She questioned herself as she crouched down on the roof. She found herself asking that more and more often these days.

In front of her, standing on a roof just across the way was a Juggernaut and a guy who looked like Magneto. Down on street level was some guy in NYPD gear wearing a red visor. Most peopel ddint wear this kind of thing for purely cosmetic reasons, so she figured that everypne but her had powers. Ooh joy she snarked internally. The guy on the ground was evidently the good guy, while the two on the roof were definetly of the villian type. But she was here now, so she sure as hell wasn't going to back down now.

She stood up and yelled across at the two on the roof. "OI! Do you people mind?!? Its bad enough that there's perpetually gang wars over these blocks, but now we have to deal with this kind of bull. The people who live here lose enough sleep over that, last thing they need is you buffoons blundering arpund like a heard of elephants on the roof! I know you two" she gestured at Juggernaut and Magneto dude, "probabaly have some fascinating plan for world domination or destroying the government or blowing up Utah or selimating Starbucks from existnace or something wild and far fetched like that, but to be frank I couldn't give a flying pirhana. So consider this me telling you- GET THE HELL OUT OF HELLS KITCHEN!" As she yelled, she had nocked her bow and her three arrows were pointed right at the opposite roof top. With her scowl, bow, short purple hair, defiant posture, black and purple suit accompanied by sticking plaster on the bridge of her nose and her temple she probabaly looked a mixture of clinically insane and heroically dynamic.

Teresa Xavier

Terri was knocked back a little from the sudden sonic wave. Groaning, she rubs the back of her head. Looking up, she saw the Hydra climbing down from tear and starting to attack the enemies. While this was certainly in their advantage, she took a look at the people on the streets, then back at the hydra. "...Oh bloody..." She cut herself off, looking at the stranger.

Terri lend her a hand, lifting her up on her feet. "Are you ok? Stay behind me, alright?" She quickly went to Morgan, seeing her blood starting to flow from her nose. "Shh, shhh Morgan." Terri said, oddly calmly, putting one hand on her forehead and closing her eyes. Morgan could feel some soft words from Terri flow through her consciousness. Although she started to feel some headaches, she managed to not send those to Morgan.

"Morgan, listen to my voice. Calm down, it's not your fault. We can still do this, it is not too late. Clear your mind of worries and listen to my guiding voice. Slowly breath in and out. In, then out." Terri softly removed her hand from her head, opening her eyes. "Just listen to that little voice of mine in your head, ok Morgs?" She turned her attention to the rather big girl, as Terri stared at her.

Successfully achieving a mind link with her, Terri began to flood her mind with different words and sentences, and even information she randomly thought. But, at the same time, all the things that were going on in Raksashi's head, went back in a loop to Terri, making her wince and bare her teeth. The pain would soon become too unbearable for her.

K.D. was still looking down at the envelope in her hands. Casting a look around the room, she could see the others, the look of dejection on one, or her gesture-buddy, Octavia, dumping a keycard out into her hands. That was actually a relief, K.D. had put a lot of work into making sure hers and Octavia's limited communication worked, so a success on her compatriots part made her feel like she'd accomplished something there too.

'You have, duh, you made a friend.'

Giving a wry grin, she slowly turned her attention back to her own envelope. She didn't fear that she'd failed either. It wasn't meant to be arrogance, but she knew, without a doubt, that she'd had to have passed. But there was finality. Like the closing of her grandmother's coffin lid, this was it. Trembling fingers rested on the lip of the manilla seal, and it truly dawned on K.D. It didn't matter who she had been, or who she was now, if she pulled this envelope open, she was an Avenger.

Who would've though that Straight A's K.D.'s first failure would be tearing some paper?

Sighing at herself, she shoved the envelope into her bag, relegating it to be handled at a later date. Nothing said she had to stay here tonight, and honestly she felt it would just be that much easier if someone else would give her the answer. Instead she hefted her bag over a shoulder a moved to Octavia, looking up at the girl and giving her a slight nudge as her harness penned a quick letter.

[Congrats Tavi, you made the cut. I thought this was gonna last longer, though, and I don't have much to do. Want to maybe swing by the mall and hang out? We can work on our non-verbal too, if you'd like?]

Just as the harness proffered the note to the girl, doors on the far end of the building opened up, and a man and woman about her age walked in. "K.D. and Harmony? Mission number one starts now, follow me or you'll be late, ladies. Briefing on the Quinjet." Or that could happen. Still, it felt like the world had suddenly been lifted off her shoulder. There it was, Avenger K.D..

[Rain check on the mall then, maybe? Seems we got a mission right out the gate.] K.D. penned quickly before offering for Octavia to kead the way with a gesture and a smile.

Walter Bech
Arriving back at the scene of his victory.
E.M.S. is there. The police aren't. Only in New York, right?

Walt was rounding the corner to return to the 'scene of the crime', wide smile on his face and a pair of whiskey bottles in a brown paper bag. Over all, it had been a good day.

His bike still off to the side of the road where it was parked, legally might he add, he fetched his back pack and loaded the liquor up after having filled a couple flasks. Once that was done, he hefted the bag over his shoulder and approached one of the E.M.S. medics, who quickly asked him if he knew what happened to the individuals scattered across the road.

Walt just beamed, "Yeah. They picked a fight so I floored the fuckers. Was a fun time. Once I was done I walked round the block and hit up the liquor store. Figured someone would be along eventually to help."

Laughing loudly at the look the medic gave him, Walt just shrugged and went to so sit on the hood of the car that belonged to the first two guys that'd come after him. Reaching into a jacket pocket, he pulled out a flask and took a swig.

Harris Daniels
Hell's Kitchen - Rooftops
Harris' brutish eyes sparkled under Sean's diplomatic opposition - behind him, Max blanched. "Last time I checked, Wiz. Unconscious means 'Not dead' " In truth, Sean's words rattled under his helmet with a glimmering of truth; though his first mistake was pegging Harris as anything but a brute. Truth was, destruction and the freedom to flaunt his overwhelming might was the only reason the colossal Juggernaut joined the Brotherhood of Mutants - a fact Max utilized well. "Didn't you get the memo, kid?" He drawled in a threatening tone, now trying to force an end to the parlay. "We're the Brotherhood of Mutants." He slammed an iron-hard fist into his open palm, biceps bulging impossible, a slow determined step forward was caused a tonal change in the atmosphere Sean couldn't mistake for misguided hospitality. "And we do what we want."

However, Harris' onslaught was cut-short by the bleating of a newfound voice. Glazing them from across the roof, was what Harris assumed to be a bow-wielding costume cosplayer, who wreathed herself in an aura of raw, unbridled, idiocy. The metalbending Max and the impossibly strong Harris; to be felled by the machinations of a mortals primitive cave-weapon. Harris let out a thunderous laugh, his voice rolling across the rooftops as he nudged Max with a highly amused clandestine smirk. "She's got a bow!" He muttered joyfully, the tension of the situation disregarded all too casually by the larger man. Max only glared in response, his eyes intent in their meaning. Time to go. Harris shrugged in resignation. "Okay little Lady, me and my friend here are going to hop right on OUT of this Kitchen," Harris empathized the word with finger-speech marks, "and continue our great grand plan for world dominion - how's that?"

Natalie Strange
Avengers Tower

"I'll be fine, Wally." Nat regarded with a sincere smile. "Don't worry about me - now get out there and do some work." She encouraged with a stern nod towards her brotherly ally. If anyone deserved a chance in the spotlight, it was Wally. What they needed after the Bank fiasco was good press; Wally was their best bet for good press as a personality, his everlasting optimism and quippy humour rivaled the immeasurable dork, Perry. Perry. Natalie flopped on on the living-space couch, the room now desolate and left to her queenly whims; Wally and Lydia had departed for the recon mission; Robin had laundered off to talk to their infectious prisoner-hero-villain-thing. Fritz was around, though with only her in the room it was an unlikely company at best. Her opinion of the lightning-charged hero was tenaciously foul, and his former outburst within this very room - as a stranger and arbitrary harbinger of their current problems - earned him a spur-of-the-moment glare from the sorceress possessed of such fiery intensity that it could split ice.

Natalie snapped her eyes shut; willing away the bitterness. She'd had enough conflict to last a few years. She still blamed Fritz - as she did Robin - but one of those two had a likable and positive attitude, with a sunny disposition to ease the spellslingers ire. The other did not. Unwilling to dwell on the mistakes of the past, Natalie rummaged back to her characteristic comparison of Wally and Perry. With a translucent smirk, she pulled her phone from her pocket to send the webslinger a complimentary message - to wish him better luck than they had - only to see Perry's name glistening on the frontscreen with a small white text-box. Perry Parker - beating her to the finish line as per usual.

"You're on a covert mission, hotshot. No 'one-upping' or glory-seeking." Natalie glared at the screen for a few seconds, noticing the unnecessary spillover from her current mood. Absently shaking her head and tapping away to send another, more light-hearted, message.

"If you do well I'l buy you ice cream!" She nodded with a brimming grin, satisfied at her mastery of the phone.

Just then, Ollie, the one remaining companion she had, no matter how instant and wayward, approached her. His suspiciously nervous mannerisms caused Natalie's eyes to flare up in judgmental apprehension, a dark cloud settled over her, and through some power of deduction - or just a plain gut feeling - she knew this wouldn't be pleasant. "Why so nervous, Ollie?" She stood from the couch with a renewed strength, no wince or struggle from the former pain. "What did you do?" She asked in an accusing tone.

Thrud gets knocked upside the head by Jarnbjorn. She the takes one hand off Duris and rubs the back of her head "Okay, I admit. I was surprised. The same way you're going to be!" She then falls back, pulling Troy forward with her. She then catching him with her feet and hoists him off her, launching him to the other end of the battleground.

Guthrum was confused on how she got hit? There were literal days where during practice, she'd have him shoot arrows at her while her back was turned to practice dodging things she could see. He's thrown stones at her, knives ate her, axes at her, spears, arrows! Torches! Mad as Hel surely but that was to be expected of the children of two of the most fiercest warriors in Asgard: The king and queen respectively. Thrud had been able to dodge them all, so what was this? "Pitiful..." Guthrum answers his own question while shaking his head in shame

They wouldn't budge. With his best attempt at getting to Harris going awry, and Max's involvement growing with each word he spoke, Sean felt the situation slipping and slipping away. He'd need a new approach to the situation, or a new plan entirely. Glancing behind him, he could still see Chief Garcia snapping photos and images of the scene, at least he was still of some help. But with the collateral damage already done, lack of knowledge on these men's abilities, and just how far they'd go to protect whoever was trapped in that metal sphere. He knew nothing of them besides that they were from the Brotherhood, and he'd have to make a trip to the X-Mansion and cross-reference the police clues if he wanted any real chance at apprehending them and finding what they truly wanted with their captive.

Throughout his thinking on the spot, another feminine voice arose from his left side, an archer. One donning a purple colored suit, three arrows ready to fire. Not that he was sure it'd do much damage against a ferrokinetic and a giant brute. Still, though, she was obviously human, and only added another possible casualty if things went wrong. Thumbing the center of his forehead, Sean sighed, letting them go, identifying the mysterious archer, and using whatever evidence was present would be his optimal bet. Fighting these two guys head on, that would be dumb. Hopefully the newest arrival understood.

Taking a quick glance in Clarissa's direction, Sean slid a hand over the ruby quartz glasses just in case he'd have to protect her, and started,
"Go. Leave Hell's Kitchen and don't come back. Next time we won't be so outnumbered. There's about four to six reinforced army vehicles coming in what will be just under ten minutes. Not that they'd be a problem to you, but just a friendly warning. Will definitely be seeing more of you two soon." With that, Sean pulled out his golden N.Y.P.D. badge from a pocket in his pants, just to show the viability of his information. "Get on with it."

Cliff rolled her eyes and scoffed at dramatically at Harris's mocking of her. She was so used to people dissing her and underestimating her. Being female, teenage and wielding a bow meant that nobody ever took her seriously. Even when they found out she was both a Hawkeye and an Avenger, they still considered her to be weak. The mockery used to annoy her, but now she didn't even notice it. It tended to give her the element of surprise.

"Brotherhood of Mutants? More like Brotherhood of nuisances!" she snarked internally. "next these guys are going to at that their goals are beyond my understanding" she thought, quoting the lines from an old tv show. She couldn't stop herself from smirking Harris proclaimed her choice of weapon, evidently dismissing her as a non-threat. He even gave her a patronising spiel that made her mutter "I turned on my hearing aids for this bull?" under her breath.

She turned to him and yawned loudly, "are you quite done with your mocking? Totally unoriginal by the way. I've heard it all before. I've heard every insult about me you could possibly invent, it's positively boring by now. It's one of the job perks of being an Avenger, the mocking jibes and the self-centred monologues. And honestly, I would be delighted if none of you gang type people showed your faces in Hells Kitchen ever gain, but we all know that ain't gonna happen."

The cop guy then told the two strangers to leave, and that back up would be arriving soon. He evidently didn't want to take them down alone, that would be kinda suicidal. But the possibility of back up was helpful. Maybe she could stall them long enough for backup to arrive. Or get one of her tracer arrows onto them or the sphere. Her mind ran over the possibilities as she stood on the roof

Troy smiles while the hilt of Jarnborn connects with the back of Thrud's temple. He removed a hand from Duris, and clasped it around the battle axe with a nod. "You weren't quite expecting that, were you-" He could only choke on his words as Thrud leaned back and stole the momentum, and in a controlled sequence, forced him across the arena, feet shoved deep into his chest and sending him flying upside down. Troy squinted his eyes slightly, vertigo kicking in, and he could taste the banquet he called breakfast he'd had that morning, and upon the loud crashing sound of his body colliding with the walls of the stadium, that taste was replaced by that of blood. The arena fell silent, as Troy's body skidded from the wall to the dirt ground like a rag doll. Troy could feel his back aching, ribs definitely injured, and muscles pulled in places he didn't think he could pull them. But above all, he could feel one thing, and one thing that stood out the most out of anything. Rage.

He groaned while pushing his body up from the floor, steadied his feet, and willed Jarnborn into his right hand having lost the axe once again when he'd been thrown. The Asgardian murmurs grew as he stood, a strange, red light seeped out of his eyes, almost glowing. Down his arms and neck, his veins pulsed an unnatural blood red as if they were trying to escape his body. Troy's hair hung over his face like a ghost, and in the blink of an eye, he was sprinting down the coliseum, Jarnborn stretched out by his side. No mercy. Wherever Thrud would descend, Troy searched out his sister, and would, in a swing full of rage and adrenaline, aim to send her flying with the wraith of Jarnborn by heaving the battle axe up to Thrud's jaw.

Astrid let out a small "Huh" out of surprise when Thrud got hit by Jarnborn. She shot a small glare at Guthrum who just murmured something. "Yup. Two peas in a pod." Astrid said to herself. Then, everything went quite, and dust rose from one part of the arena. Leaning in more, she saw Thrud on one part, and Troy on the other. Crossing her arms at her chest, she let out a small sigh, thinking this battle was over. That was quite a hit he took, and she quickly thought this was just friendly, shrugging and closing her eyes. "Welp Guthrum, I guess Thrud wo-"

Her eyes opened to see Troy up, looking disheveled and angry. She lets out a small "Oh no." Taking out her spear, she knew what this meant. Astrid knew that if he gets his hands on Thrud, this is gonna get ugly fast. Jumping from the balcony, she landed with a dull thud, and started running towards Thrud. She put herself in front of her, readying her spear to block Jarnborn. She had seen him fight, so she could easily predict his strikes, even when he's in anger. "Your highness, stop!" Astrid commanded, her voice booming.

Pat shrugged at her offer "Not like I'm goin anywhere any time soon, so why not." he was a little unnerved by the ants, but hey what the hell, not like he was exactly cute and cuddly when it was time to knock heads together. He then saw two metal playing cards enlarge out of thin air. "Yo, what the fuck?" he asked in a very surprised tone. Sure, he had gotten used to his "buddy" fairly quickly, but seeing shit spontaneously grow and shrink kind of freaked him out.

He felt what sounded like a groan which meant his aforementioned buddy was waking up. Where are we? Slaughter asked groggily. "Dunno, but they know your here so there's no point in staying in." Pat replied to him out loud. She would probably assume he was crazy until the little asshole showed himself which he surprisingly did quickly. A red amorphous goop snaked out of him and formed into the head of the symbiote, the snake like form came from his upper back and wrapped around his right side and sat level to his head. "Let us out human." The symbiote growled in its alien voice. Pat's expression had gone from pissed off to just looking tired of everything ever, and he sighed as he prepared for another round of arguing between the two of them.

Robin smiled under her mask, before noticing Pat's surprised expression. "Shrinking Tech. Sorry about that, I probably should have given you a warning. My ant buddies brought my cards, and I just enlarged them." She slid a deck through the slot and it popped out the other side. "They're metal, which makes them more durable."

Pat spoke aloud, and Robin cocked her head slightly as she wondered what on earth he was doing. She had just begun to shuffle her cards when the literal embodiment of hell slid its face over Pat's shoulder. A Sinewy, blood red, gloopy-looking face stared at her with hugeass teeth. Fangs, more like. This was the symbiote she had fought earlier.

Robin shook her head, surprisingly calm in the face of pure death. "No can do, pal. Like I said before, don't have the clearance to let you out. No card key, no access code, nada." She shrugged and sat down on the floor, cross legged. "And besides, even if I could let you both oout, I probably wouldn't because I'd get my ass handed to me for doing it without permission from the up-and-ups." She sighed. "Not like it could get much worse for me, what with the bad publicity and all. The only way it could would be if I died, but that's not an invitation." She clacked her deck on the ground, satisfied with her shuffle. "So. What do you two want to play? B.S. has always been a fun game. There's also War, Idiots, Go Fish, Blackjack.... I'd offer Poker or Spoons but we don't have chips or anything to use as pick up items." She shrugged for the second time. "If none of those tickle your fancy I could always just play Solitaire. For the millionth time." She added, deadpan.

Deimos wasn't exactly sure of what was going on or what exactly he'd been brought to on his detour, but from what he could understand it was pretty important. He could only remain quiet for the time being, moving to check his phone for texts. The only text he'd received was from his mother. His father had gotten himself off work a bit early, they were on their way, from across town and asking if he was taken care of.

I'm alright, thanks mom.

And with that he slips his phone back in his pocket just as he was called back to the elevator. He steps in, feeling a bit more comfortable with all of this. People here were like him, no one here would be threatening to hit him with a damned tire iron.Yes ma'm. Thanks for all of this. My parents are on their way now. Should be here soon.

Thrud notices the apparent anger in Troy's eyes and simply smirks "Come now, brother. Don't tell me you're upset. We're barely a minute in and I've yet to strike you." She teases

Guthrum shakes his head. This may not have happen everytime the siblings fought, but it has happened. Usually during their sparings, one of the siblings would escalate the fight further and would almost kill the other. Troy was usually the one. Most boys are quick to anger, especially when it comes to competition and they found themselves losing. Sure, it was natural. He felt that way too, but he had nothing to truly prove for all of Asgard would only see him one way despite his successes. Troy on the other hand is supposed to be the future ruler of Asgard one day and the realm watches him. Expecting him to be greater. Maybe he's let some of his current and future status get to him. Or it truly is as simple as no warrior can bear the possibility of defeat.

Troy's anger only intensified as the seconds passed, his body slowly radiating with rage more and more. Through the dust, and dirt that rose up, his vision sought out a sole target. Thrud. The feral mindset was one he found hard to 'turn off' and negate, especially having been tossed aside like Thrud had just seconds ago. Jarnborn was light in his hand, and ready to swing. But all of a sudden, the built up adrenaline and power faded and in an instant, and Troy's running turned to a halt, standing face to face with Astrid in front of Thrud. "... Stop!" Astrid called, and with his rage cool-down taking effect, he had little to no strength left. Due to some sort of emotional attachment, even he wasn't too sure of yet, Troy's rage disappeared at Astrid's presence. Now, he was just burnt out.

A heavy clank sounded as Jarnborn escaped his hand, dropping flat on the ground. "I'll best you next time, sister. Now, I just need a nap." He smiled slightly, before gravity took the lead, and pulled him towards the floor. He leaned back, and fell onto his back where he fell into a slumber. Smoke rose from his pink skin, , and the dust around his person blackening because of the heat he emitted. Unconsciously, Jarnborn returned to his hand, but the prince of Asgard now lay on the battlefield, asleep and snoring.

Letting out a tired sigh, Astrid let her guard down, putting her spear back on her back. She looked back at Thrud, and smiled slightly. "Sorry, your highness, but the fight is over." She cast a glance to Guthrum and she nodded, as to indicate that this was truly over. Astrid then moved towards the now asleep Asgardian. With her boot she softly tried to move him awake, but to no luck. "What am I gonna do with you?" Astrid asked really softly, no hint of smile on her face.

With a heavy sigh, she put Troy over her shoulder, the axe really weighing him down. Her eyes went to the stands and she tired to avoid to make eye contact with any. She had trained Troy, and she took these spars rather seriously. Astrid felt as if all the eyes were not on the siblings, but on the one who was supposed to train and keep the prince in check. The girl who was just an ordinary fighter, that was supposed to train the prince of Asgard failed.

With a heavy sigh, she put Troy down in an area away from the prying eyes of the arena. There were some of these rooms in the arena. One couch, a small table with a chair, and a weapon rack. After leaving Troy on the couch, she put her spear on the rack, and took the chair, putting it next to the couch. Astrid's face was full of emotions. Anger, sadness, a glimmer of a grin.

With her right arm, she shook Troy awake. "Come on, your highness. Wake up. Wake up!" She raised her voice, it now sounding annoyed and not at all funny.
