Well you know where they need to go and that they need a soldier hear about a living water bender so that they have them as buffer for when a letter gets send to Ozai about the detour.

Of course, it could be funny too if there isn't a rescue ship on time so they entire fire nation thinks Haru and Liliana are dead, basically giving them free range to do whatever

well when Kaya gets the key and breaks into Liliana's room for her stuff she will most likely destroy the ship.
So either we have another fire nation ship (prob Zuko's) that rescues Haru and Liliana
Or we have everyone think everyone on that ship died, so they'd basically have to go undercover and what not
