  • AVATAR: THE EXILED CHRONICLES - ARC 1

Episode 1 - The Exiled Princess

So much has passed since the time of Avatar Korra, from villain to terrorist, and people lost to one believe it was almost a constant drag for water bending Avatar. Almost like the job was never done it was always work, work, and more. Leaving not much time for her own doing, with short vacations for her and her beloved in between, No matter how many times it was just like there was always something she needed to do.
Leaving to her friends not much of a surprise when in her older years, after Korra passed out from exhaustion just a week after the loss of her beloved wife, only to never wake up again. She lived a long fulfilling life as the avatar surrounded by her friends and family, achieving many things in her lifetime. However, as her mentor once said like the cycle of the seasons the new cycle of the Avatar began anew. Leaving many to wonder, what’s to happen with this new cycle and how will the Avatar seek wisdom along their new journey?

We now follow along with the new avatar, Avatar Xiurong of the Beifong family, a daughter to the new Emperor of the Earth Empire. Leaving some people to wonder what two of their past lives would think, all certainly surprised to find their reincarnation born to that name. While others hope that they’d grow to be a great confident Avatar. (Ughvatar)

The dawn of the attack. Month #6, day 14. (Couple years later from up above)

Newspapers flew everywhere, with almost every radio station, commercial, just on constant repeat. “BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello to the Earth Empire and those else looking in! We really hate to inform everyone as we bring some rather devastating news. Seeing as security was recently boosted within his greatness’s grand palace. Along with all-around Ba Sing Se, It’ is not for a good reason seeing.... " A pause stood between the news broadcast, as the person sweated on the camera before continuing as planned.

"There was an attack recently, while many would have known by now some still don't know the story of what happened during the darkest of the night about two days ago within the walls of the Emperor’s palace. Somehow some scum managed to squeeze themselves past the finest security in the land, there are no traces to exactly how many were involved, or how they've yet to figure out where exactly the culprits got into the prestige palace. While your royal twins are safe and secure. What we most hate to say is, the Emperor is gone.” Another pause sunk into the performance, the voice sounding rather shaky.

"We're not sure what exactly is to happen at the moment, and with the young prince Xu Beifong still not being of age it will be decided by the end of the sunset tomorrow of just who will become the Regent until the young Beifong is of age or our Lord returns. Please everyone stay safe out there tonight." And with that the performance cut off. As the high security prepared for the panic of its civilians of the Earth Empire State.

    Month Number 7, Day 16

It’s been a little over a month since the attack of the Earth Emperor’s palace, with many still unsettled over what exactly happened. The wide panic slowly burning out like a fire bender sneezing in a field of tall grass. With still no traces of how the palace was breached, though at least one good sign came out of the recent panic.
Of rumors spreading all over of potential sightings of the missing Emperor all around. Word quickly spread fast around and now the Avatar was hot on their trail.

It hasn’t been easy the past couple of days not having much luck as each town they had traveled to in search, didn’t entirely go as planned. Especially with the most recent accident in the Sand Kingdom happening yesterday. What was meant to be a smooth search, ended up not as planned now with the Avatar being wanted by Queen of the Sand Kingdom. When it wasn’t even her fault. Now we follow her and co, with the goal of reaching Republic City.

Episode 2 - Republic City / Si Wong Rock

    ~Time Skip~

Date: 17, of the seventh month.

Time period: An hour after Noon.

Weather: Signs of potential rain clouds peering over certain parts of the Earth Empire.

The Empire found itself busier than normal within the civilians, tension rising everywhere around the Sand Kingdom portion stressing itself to the break. Many people have lost their homes, struggling just to keep warm within the two nights of no shelter. All caused by the pure devastation left behind from the *tantrum* over one’s father that came from the very person destined to keep the peace between all. The civilians were left confused by this outbreak clearly having no idea of why the avatar would've attacked Queen Rasha’s land, seeing as they were on good terms with the Earth Empire until now. Leaving up to the banishment of the Avatar herself, writing a new log of what may be the worst avatar the world has come to know. News continued to spread out and about like raging wildfire, from the Sand Kingdom to the neighboring prosperities. All in anguish over this news of the devastation leading to wanted posters to begin spreading about the provinces. Small riots begin to form wanting justice against the Avatar.

Except for the town of Me Mu Cun, which willingly stood for all things after being saved from raiders multiple times. Though they’ve always been a bit off and disconnected in their own way seeing as everyone thought the people of Me Mu Cun were pathetic weaklings to the point the thieves would actually return and repair windows then overcharge them for their duties. Yet the town’s people never put one or the other together.

Republic city, having heard the news finally within the two days life span, seemed questionable on which side they stood by. While many still stood against the Avatar, many still seemed for her within the city, people bickered back and forth. Bringing an increase of security all around the streets of the city. From the piers, where the newest boat pulled up to the dock, to downtown.

(P.S: Screw you mountain internet crash for stealing away a large portion of this post)

    Republic City
    7 /18/ 264 AG
    9:11pm

Cities, like cats, will reveal themselves at night.

Within the secured walls of Republic City's Police Headquarters, in its conference hall to be more exact, particular individuals convened around a long, wooden table. Scattered on the surface were tens of documents, a couple of pictures, and a large map of the city pinned at the center. A glaringly red X marked a spot nearby the Southeast corner of the map, merely two inches away from the border separating the free city and the Earth Empire. Xiurong felt a heavy weight drop at the pits of her stomach when her eyes trekked to the country she once called home.

"I frankly hate being in this garbage city, so let's keep this short. This marks the Bone Crusher's alleged factory, correct?" The exiled princess asked as her index finger landed on the marked location, her eyes moving towards the person sitting at the head of the table.

It was a woman- who looked as though she was in her late fifties with her short graying hair, wrinkling skin, and seemingly perpetual scowl. She pried her unamused gaze from the Avatar and towards the insignia over her right breast. It was the symbol of the Police Chief. "Watch your tongue, Avatar. I don't appreciate you insulting my city in front of my face."

"Oh, forgive me for being so insenstive, Chief Watanabe." Xiurong sarcastically rolled her eyes. "Please, go on and tell me how I can help rescue this beloved, beautiful city of yours for the nth time. Don't spare any details."

"Still as ill-mannered as usual, and here I thought your banishment taught you something." A triumphant smirk briefly pulled on the older woman's lips before she readjusted herself on her seat. Like a cat who bit its own tongue, Xiurong instantly frowned and shut up.

Satisfied, the Chief soldiered on. "The marked area is mostly forestry but according to my scouts and these aged documents, Future Industries built a warehouse in its clearing roughly two decades ago. However, it was quickly abandoned after four years of usage due to ecological concerns- or so the paper says. The department began tracking unusual traffic towards the location shortly after a few Bone Crushers were granted freedom. If the gang is really back on business, then this place would be the perfect spot for their illegal productions."

"If that's the case then why can't you just send your own troops. Why am I needed?"

"Aside from the fact that you damaged parts of the city and this is the only form of reimbursement you can currently offer, we have reasons to believe that they're developing something else aside from their usual guns and mechs. A number of tire tracks were spotted in the Earth Empire's swamp and they matched the tracks of the prototype vehicle the Bone Crushers were working on when you busted them three months ago. Suffice to say, it'd be better for the Avatar to deal with things related to the swamp. The last time it happened, we got an interdimensional portal at the heart of the city. Just ask your Great Uniter."

"Hmph. So what exactly do you want me to do?"

"I want you to find out just what exactly they're developing and put a stop to it. Furthermore, I think Captain Beifong already told you but there's someone out there pulling the strings for the Bone Crushers. We need a conclusive lead."

Xiurong's mind wandered to the conversation she had with Xian. She narrowed her eyes at nobody in particular before furrowing her brow. "Very well. But afterwards, I want the city's aid for my father's search."

"You're not exactly in the position to negotiate and we're already freeing the Bison in return, but we'll mull it over."

    10:02pm

The Chief and her police goons left after the debriefing, leaving Xiurong and her team by themselves in the conference hall. Almost instantly, the Avatar whipped her head towards Xian then to Yara. "I get why the two of you are here, but why in the world are they here?!" She growled as she sharply gestured towards Maizen and Taka. She leaned back on her seat and crossed her arms, her frown growing deeper by the second.

Xian's presence was welcomed since she was the one who invited him to come along. Yara's presence was tolerable since she was her personal healer- even after she rudely drenched her with tea. "What? Did you three suddenly became joined by the hips after grabbing dinner together?" She asked with a scoff after she recalled Yara screaming at the top of her lungs.

Meanwhile, outside the headquarters, Captain Beifong could be seen standing by the front. He appeared to be waiting for somebody's arrival, with his back against a concrete pillar and his arms folded over his chest.

Episode 1 - The Winter Solstice

    12 / 21 / 264 AG

It has been five months since the conclusion of the mission in Republic City which effectively put an end to the Bone Crusher threat and their nefarious drug dealings. While most of the locals were overjoyed by the result, there were some who found the level of damage and the number of casualties to be concerning. Especially since the Avatar's involvement was known to the public. After all, who else could leave a lasting mark on the outskirt's geography? The place where the Bone Crusher's facility used to stand on was now filled with towering pillars of earth, each one sharply pointed at the top as though they were trying to penetrate the sky itself.

Furthermore, words regarding the landmark's curse has been circulating around the city, permeating through some of the nation's borders. For the past few months, there have been multiple reported sightings of Dark Spirits sowing chaos ranging from attacking villages to decaying crops, with the first one being seen roaming by the pillars. This forced specialized teams of Water benders capable of purifying spirits to be mobilized in different parts of the world. The countermeasure was a combined effort between the two Water Tribes, being the only ones capable of producing what were officially named as Spiritbenders, under the recommendation and guidance of the White Lotus.

While the majority of the common folks remained skeptical about the issue at hand (most likely thanks to the controlled media regarding it), authorities were starting to get worried especially with each passing month's rise in reports.

As such, when the Chief of the Northern Water Tribe decided to invite the leaders of the other nations, rejection was far from their minds.

    Northern Water Tribe
    8 am

The icy streets of the Northern Water Tribe were especially bustling with activity even though it was still two days before the Winter Solstice Festival. Enormous ships from all over the world were lining up by their docks, and diverse stalls that showcased the culture and cuisine of all nations filled every possible avenue. On the other hand, children and those young at heart flocked to the ones that provided entertaining games which offered various prizes that went from Nuktuk action figures to a teddy bear with the current Avatar's unmistakable eyebrows and hair.

The Chief of the Northern Tribe invited not only the leaders of the nations, but also those who were a part of prominent families whether through wealth or lineage. That said, the borders of the Northern Water Tribe were open to anyone who would want to take a part of the festival. Warriors of the tribe could be seen standing and roaming about in various parts of the city, ensuring everybody's safety especially from petty thieves who would without doubt target distracted individuals.

The morning was still young, and there were lots of fun activities to be done in the prosperous city. With hope, this day of respite could bring the separated companions back together.
