WANTED_POSTER.finishf2.png

Name: Admiral Shin

DoB: 2 BG (53)

PoB: Fire Nation Home Islands

Nationality: Fire Nation

Bender: Fire, Lightning.

Identifying Trait: 5’5” fierce, coal-black hair and piercing amber eyes. Almost always dressed in a Standard Fire Nation uniform robes and occasionally in full armour and officer’s regalia while taking part in Military functions.

Notable Skills: Mastery of both Fire and the rare skill of Lightning bending. A brilliant strategist from the Fire Nation’s Finest Academy whose skills were honed by Thirty years of active service both in the field and as a commanding officer behind the lines. Rumoured to be a top-tier Pai Sho player among the Officers.

Bio: Born to a family of Minor Nobles in the Fire Nation Home Islands. Shin studied in the prestigious academy and after graduating as a young man he was commissioned in the Fire Nation Navy as a Lieutenant. Fresh off the Academy he would see action in the Southern Campaign against the City of Omashu, being part of the Naval detachment that landed on the Southern Shores to reinforce the Army.

She was inexperienced than and was no match against the might of the Fire Nation, even with the Earth Kingdom Soldiers to back her up. Omashu would fall but the chase of the decade was just beginning, the Young Lieutenant, ever the gloryhound would seek every opportunity to catch the Avatar.

They would come across one another numerous times over the decade, yet those were brief and far in between with no real victor.

As fate would have it, their next big confrontation would occur in where it all began again. Omashu was attacked by the Earthen Insurrectionists. A bloody siege ensued as the Earth Nation rebels proved to be much more organized than previously thought. for 55 days the Garrison stood against the Horde that besieged the walls of the city and their allies in the city itself. They would have stood for 55 more had it not been for the Avatar to finally make an appearance and swiftly brought an end to the Siege in a devastating attack. In a true reversal of fortunes, the Avatar that had failed the city before, liberated it with her rag-tag allies. For the first time, Shin tasted bitter defeat and humiliation. Captured by his own self-declared rival. He couldn’t ever forget that hated, smug smirk on her face when she spotted him among the captured prisoners.

Four months into his captivity rescue came in the shape of a an ambush, set up by the elite Yuyan Archers to end the Avatar and her companions. After some intense questioning in Pohuai and brief imprisonment he would be shipped back to the Fire Nation Capital to kneel before the Fire Lord himself. The Doors to the Throne Room would close and when they reopened once more, Captain Shin would walk out a changed man, both in rank and in demeanour.

To Admiral Shin Hunting down the ever problematic Avatar became his sole mission, some could describe his eagerness or perhaps desperation to capture the Avatar as downright obsessive after that, all pretense of the rivalry was gone. The chase was over.

After years of further preparation, deliberate attacks on her weak points. Raiding the villages of her companions, burning down supply lines and constant attacks on the North and South Pole alike. He had her finally cornered. It would be the final confrontation, and it was, albeit in a manner that he hadn’t anticipated.

After the Conquest of the Northern Water Tribe ended with the uncontested victory of the Fire Nation and the vanquishment of the Avatar he became a decorated war in proper fashion, hailed as a Hero by not just his men but also the people of his nation as a whole. For his accomplishments and service he was awarded with the prestigious position of a Colonial Governor.

In stark contrast to his earlier service, the past fifteen years has been relatively peaceful, buried beneath stacks of paperwork.

Motives: A firm believer in Fire Lord Sozin’s ideology, Shin has completely devoted himself to the idea that it’s the Fire Nation’s burden to extend their prosperous civilization to the less gifted nations of the world. However with the relative freedom his position gives him He has taken a more liberal and lenient approach with his governing methods compared to the norm, taking a more hands-off approach and promoting loyalist colonials and willing collaborationists to positions of power in his bureaucracy to emphasize his beliefs, while investing in the industrialization and the advancement of socio-economical aspects in the colonies under his control by building markets, schools and medical centres. Whether it's his genuine intentions to create a better future for the Fire Nation and their new subjects or his deeds are fuelled by his vanity to create a better legacy for his own self-image is up to debate.

Kitai Shu CS.png

Picture:
Kitai Shu.png

Name:
Lieutenant Kitai Shu

DoB:
15 AG (35)

PoB:
Fire Nation Colonies

Nationality:
Fire Nation

Bender (Yes/No, if yes details):
Yes, Fire Bender

Identifying Trait:
5'9", robust, deep brown hair and light brown eyes. Dresses as a standard Firebender soldier despite his rank most of the time, does wear officer's robes when at official functions.

Notable Skills:
An expert and battle hardened firebender. Academically schooled in administration and mathematics. Hardened by 20 years of soldiering. Skilled at maintaining discipline both through force and diplomacy. Mastered the flute. Has an eye for irregularities. Good at Pai sho, but lets most senior officers beat him.

Bio:
Kitai Shu was born to a colonial bureaucrat and his wife who had moved to the colonies just two years before. He had the best education that could be given in the colonies alongside the children of other bureaucrats and military elite living in the colonial capital. He excelled in his class and he also received firebending training as soon as it was discovered he was able to, just like his grandfather. When he was a teenager his parents paid for him to study back in the Fire Nation proper to get degrees in administration and mathematics. He excelled in this and also attended a firebending school that further refined and improved his Firebending skills.

When he came back from his studies 18 years ago he spoke with his father about his desire to enlist with the Navy to do military service for the nation before he would follow his father in becoming a bureaucrat for the government. His father reluctantly agreed and soon Kitai Shu was going through basic training. He did well in the disciplined forces of the Fire Nation and soon found himself deployed as a soldier on a ship under Admiral Shin's command. During the countless missions that were undertaken he was often going above and beyond the call of duty as he often with increased risk to his own health would step up to safe comrades from peril or to complete a dangerous task someone else had sadly failed to finish. Back on the ship he would help his lieutenant with taking care of the ship's logistics and maintaining order. He fought hard on the North Pole when that campaign finally came and even managed to keep the others from his troop organized and took temporary control when their Lieutenant was killed in a bid by the defenders to break their resolve.

After the North Pole was conquered and subdued he was put up for consideration to be promoted to Lieutenant as he was already doing most if not all the work of the previous Lieutenant and then some. He had some competition from fresh graduates from the home islands but his captain pulled through and got him the position. He soon became an instrumental part of the runnings and goings of his ship and served with distinction. He made the decision to have the majority of his wages to be paid out to his parents so they could manage the money that he wouldn't need whilst on duty on the seas and that way began to save up for a future home for himself and a family for later.

Alas after years of dutiful service things did end up being shaken up, rather violently too. One day the ship he served on was escorting a few cargo vessels that were making their way to a naval base on the southern shore of the Earth Kingdom when a small armada of Water Tribe vessels appeared and fell upon them. The ship stuck true to its mission and faced the water tribe vessels to buy the cargo ships as much time as they could. The fighting was fierce and the crew was hard pressed to fight till the death as they all knew what the savages would do to them if they'd give up. During the fighting the engine of their ship blew up and flung Kitai Shu and a couple of his fellow soldiers off into the sea. It was quite lucky that some of them even made it to shore. Their ship soon started to sink with no survivors after the explosion but the Water Tribe vessels were more concerned with trying to catch up to the cargo ships that had gotten quite a headstart.

He and three others who hadn't drowned then set out to get to a friendly place but they had a hard time navigating and for a time were lost in areas with quite active Earth Kingdom resistance movements, often having to either trick or fight their way through. Two of the others wanted to desert as they grew tired of the struggle to stay alive but when confronted about it by Kitai Shu and the other survivor who was too a Firebender the two deserters attacked. Needless to say the carrion birds had a roasted meal to feast on that night. He then finally made it to safety alongside the last man under his charge. As expected they were briefly put under arrest and debriefed at the colonial capital about what happened to their ship. They were soon cleared of wrongdoing and even commended for getting back in one piece. His friend was soon deployed onto another ship but he was left in the city as no ships had a need for an officer at the time being. So Kitai Shu has been assigned a new role by Admiral Shin in his colonial government at the Census and Excise Office where he has spent the last couple of months doing diligent work. He didn't sit idle during this time though as he dedicated a chunk of his free time to honing his firebending even further. He must admit though, he wasn't all too thrilled to be doing a bureaucrat's job instead of a soldier's job, but he can't refuse a job assigned directly by the Admiral himself.

Motive:
Kitai Shu believes that the Fire Nation is the future for the world and that its technology will bring a new age of prosperity to all. This does come with a strong view on those who oppose the Fire Nation as he sees them like unruly children unwilling to listen to the wisdom of their seniors and thus they should be beaten until they learn their lesson. He doesn't trust those who are not descendants of Fire Nation citizens easily, but he does look favorably upon those who do earn his trust or who know their place in society and keep the peace. He does hope to grow in rank through the Navy with his skills and commendable service. He has yet to find someone to grow old with and of late he is contemplating to take some unused leave and find himself a wife and a home to retire to in the future.

Edit: fixed his hair and name, added his employment in Admiral Shu's colonial administration.

IKAIRO.png

AVATAR.png

Name:
Private Ikairo

DoB:
34 AG (16)

PoB:
Fire Nation Colonies

Nationality:
Fire Nation

Bender (Yes/No, if yes details):
Earthbender, Lavabender - (Avatar)

Identifying Trait:
5’8”, lean build, black scruffy and unkempt hair. Often with a somewhat cocky, overconfident smile and rebellious attitude. Golden eyes from his Fire Nation father. His uniform is one of an old design, of his father's giving, allowed for use within the present system due to resource conservation. Wears an armband of green upon his shoulder, a mark of his Earthbending mother who is suspected to still retain some loyalties with the Earth Kingdom.

Notable Skills:
Ikairo has been noted as an extremely gifted Earthbender, with an innate talent for it. A consequence of this showing itself in the exceedingly rare ability to lavabend. This skill has only been noted a few times in history, mostly because of the Avatar, but it is not entirely unknown for this to occur outside of the cycle.

Bio:
Ikrairo’s parents were farmers with a rather colourful past. His father was a soldier from the Fire Nation islands proper, having fought at the North Pole under multiple commanders. Upon the successful campaign, he was honourably discharged from service and given lands in the recently conquered border provinces where the colonies end and the Earth Kingdom begins. There he met his wife, a guerrilla of Earth Kingdom stock and an Earthbender at that. The union that followed was frowned upon by both sides of the war, Ikairo’s mother being cast out from her group and all but declared a traitor whilst his father had his pension stripped by the Fire Nations Administrative Division for his breach of the strict fraternisation rules.

As a result of this past, the childhood for the future Avatar was one of turbulence yet never lacked for socialisation. He was born the youngest of five brothers. Naturally a great sense of competition dominated his boyhood, as Ikairo did everything in his power to prove that he was in fact better than them all. He was the second Earthbender in the family, so that wouldn’t do, but when lavabending showed itself for the first time, he happily bragged about it. Though his parents soon shut him up, not wanting the attention of more powerful regional officials.

Eventually the war came for the farm. His brothers were of age to fight and the local “recruiter” came by to pick them up, no questions asked. Ikairo was not content to let his family be taken away and thus used his rare ability upon the recruiter. His skill unrefined, however, meant he couldn’t do anything when actual soldiers came knocking on his door. His brothers were conscripted, whilst he was thrown in prison. There some kindly old men paid him a visit, long flowing robes dragging along the floor. They tested him in some antiquated methods to determine something he did not understand or care to understand. Regardless, after a short stay in the prisons, it was almost by spiritual intervention that the Admiral himself and the regional Governor of his area personally pardoned Ikairo, instating him in the military and making Ikairo his own personal adjutant.

Motive:
As of now, Ikairo’s motives are just to live life day to day. Work is work, wages are wages. The war is distant and so long as he is providing a service, he wins and his family wins.

    PoB: The Si Wong Desert

    Nationality: Desert Nomad

Bender : Yes, proficient Sand/Earth bender.

Identifying Trait: 5'8", thin woman with lightly tanned skin. She has dark hair and emerald shaded eyes.

Notable Skills: Luǎ is a skilled earth bender and a natural sand bender. Harder minerals like gemstone are not bendable due to their denser composition compared to her natural preference of sand. Otherwise Luǎ is a capable hostess and has much exposure to the nobility of the Earth Kingdom. Likewise, putting on displays of her bending and performing for others—in the vein of motivating them—is a skill Luǎ is currently cultivating.

Name: Hangehn Bo (Lala Kota)

DoB: 35 AG (15)

PoB: Gaolin, Southern Earth Kingdom

Nationality: Earth Kingdom

Bender: Yes, Hangehn has only recently started training in her Earth Bending, only having about six months worth of self training in her, meaning she's only able to lift a few rocks at the moment but if she loses her temper those rocks can be launched at high speeds

Identifying Trait: Stands in at a punitive 4'6", her sleeves go past her hands making her look like a praying mantis at some points. She has mud brown hair that is often put into the buns with bright green eyes.

Notable Skills: Amateur Earth Bender, She is an amazing dancer and she adapts this into her fighting style (Capoeira), with the training she has had she is very acrobatic able to climb and dodge out of the way instead of needing to block. She is an incredible actor, able to impersonate nearly anyone or anyone of a certain class

Bio:
Hangehn was born to a middle-high class, her father consistently fought in Earth Rumbles under the alias The Great Badger, her mother meanwhile was a famous theater actress because both her parents were constantly away either performing or training to perform she was usually looked after by either family friends or by hired nannys, however not long after she turned 4 her mother Rashihi decided to take her as a student. This changed her day to day life rather than getting to sleep, she woke up at the crack of dawn and was taken into the forest where her mother taught her how to move in all the common ways that was in their line of work that was the first two hours before breakfast, after breakfast it was all about dancing in all it's forms.

As a result of this training and her mothers stance already within the theater circuit, she managed to get multiple gigs performing across the world mainly within the fire kingdom playing bit or side characters in fire nation propaganda performances, due to her youthful ignorance while she enjoyed what she performed Hangehn didn't really understand what she was saying or doing. This constant theater life made it so that while she knew about the war, it didn't affect her as much as others. As she got older, her talents became more and more recognized and as a result of this began getting starring roles as well going by the stage name Lala Kota just so she wouldn't be as easily recognized when she is out and about doing her daily routine, although with how recognizable she was it didn't matter that much

About six months ago she learned that she and her father were Earthbenders, her father having on the side been raiding Fire Nation caravans and ships to try and help the Earth Kingdom refugees and because of this he has had to go into hiding only coming out of it to do stuff such as raiding ships, freeing slaves and other things like that. Hangehn got a letter from her father telling her this fact about him and to continue doing her work and to look after her mother. When she read this letter, she was angry that the night she got it she walked outside and yelled into the night sky and showing her that she has Earth-Bending Abilities. Ever since the incident she has been teaching herself how to Earth Bend whenever she has a free moment although keeping it secret from her mother and everyone around her, not wanting to be treated like a Second-Class citizen like so many benders she has heard about

Motive:
Currently Hangnhe is trying to keep the fact that she's an Earthbender a secret but the reason she wants to try and stop the Fire Nation is so that she or her father don't have to fight to help others and so she can make people truly happy with what she performs in

Name: Princess Ulma
DoB: 30 AG (21)
PoB: Northern Water Tribe
Nationality: Northern Water Tribe
Bender: Yes, a novice water bender but a skilled healer, has the potential to be quite skilled when given a chance.
Identifying Trait: Standing a fair 5ft 9in, she dresses in dark purple and brown coloured clothing and a pair of feathers in her hair. On her waist is usually a battle club, a keepsake from her father.
Notable Skills: Practice with a battle club though no real combat experience with it. She is quite a capable singer, knowing many traditional songs and interested in other nations songs. In addition she has a close connection to the spiritual world, able to see and interact with spirits.
Bio: The only daughter and youngest child of the former chief of the Northern Water Tribe. It was expected that she wouldnt have a large role in current affairs, the only expectation for her was to secure an allegiance between her family and another powerful family through marriage. The betrayal of the Dai lee and the invasion of the northern water tribe changed all that. She was barely five years old when she witness the fall of the capital, being woken by the sound of battle and shouting, and she and her mother being dragged by armed guards through the city to the portal to the south. She witnessed death and destruction of the only world she knew, not knowing the fate of the remains of the family until much later.

The young princess found herself in a familiar but strange city and a lot of focus placed upon her as the only surviving child of the chief. Her fate hung in the balance as older men decided what to do about the succession. There were calls for her claim to be bypassed due to her gender and youth but they were many claimants and risked infighting that would further weaken the norther water tribe remnant. Cooler heads prevailed thanks to her mother and surviving commander who were able to persuade her to become chief under the Regency of the surviving commander.

In the next few years, she was educated as best as possible according to Northern Water Tribe tradition, but she also had mentors from the Southern water tribe. There was a stir between the two tribes when she was thirteen and discovered she was a bender, one of her southern water tribe mentors attempted to teach her water bending. Traditionalist northerners in court complained causing her southern mentor to be removed. The young princess though having a test of water bending was not satisfied with the healing sought out her southern mentor in secret and persuaded him to train her. This was the first sign of what to follow from her to her careers. As she grew she tried more and more to become in the affairs of her people with she and her regent commonly coming at odds both about the future of her people and her role in it. This included the question of betrothal when she turned sixteen, to most people surprise she wasnt against marriage, but she called for her partner to be from the southern water tribe rather than one of their own preferred by the regent. The issue is still in contention to this day.

Motive: Despite her young age at the time, she still remembers the fall of her tribe well and aims to restore her tribe for her people however possible. This also lead her to have a strong personal hatred for the fire nation and a distrust of the Earth Kingdom.

Name:
Prince Shozo
DoB:
35 AG (15)
PoB:
Fire Nation Capital City
Nationality:
Fire Nation
Bender (Yes/No, if yes details):
Yes Fire Bender and Lightning Bender
Identifying Trait:
The Prince stands at 5'10 and has a lean athletic body with some msucle definiton on his arms. The Prince's hair is black and is kept in the style that is in his picture above. The Prince has golden brown colored eyes that shine as bright as fire and the fire nation does. He wears traditional Fire Nation royal or military clothes.
Notable Skills:
The Young Prince is proficient in the art of fire bending as well as the art of lightning bending. Considered a prodigy by many in the Fire Nation he spent much of his time growing up training. He also is well versed in the art of sword fighting and sword wielding.
Bio:
Prince Soko was born to the Fire Lord and Queen of the Fire Nation. As the only child of the Fire Lord, Prince Soko automatically became next in line for the throne. His parents were very caring of the child, but his father did expect a lot from him. While the expectations could be a lot for a child to handle, Soko met and exceeded the expecations many times growing up.

From a young age Prince Soko was considered a bit of a prodigy when it came to his fire bending. He started to fire bend at a younger age than most of his peers. His father saw this and started his training younger then the Fire Lord had anticipated. Being trained by his father and by fire bending masters, the young Prince continued to excel at fire bending. The boy became good enough that he was eventually taught how to lightning bend as well. While Prince Soko did do a lot of training he also would be apart of his father's war council. While he would not speak he would sit in and listen to the coversations that his father would have with his top advisors about the war effort.

Prince Soko did also have a lot of friends growing up, He would often play with the other children of royalty and military commanders as a child. They would all happily play while they had no idea about the horrors that were happening all over the world because of the war. Now at the age of 15 Prince Soko is being sent out by his father to get a taste of what the world and the war is like. His father has given his command of his own ship and his first set of orders are to report to Admiral Shin. His father besides wanting Soko to learn first hand about the war, has also heard some rumors about Admiral Shin. He wants to send his son to keep an eye on the veteral admiral and make sure that things are going to plan.

Motive:
Prince Soko is driven by one thing at the moment, that is to make the Fire Nation the greatest nation on the earth and to share that with the rest of the world. He has been brought up to believe that the strong survive and that the Fire Nation is the strongest of them all. Will things change for him once he sees the world outside of the Fire Nation?

Name: Nyla
DoB: 30 AG (21)
PoB: Ba Sing Se (Lower Ring)
Nationality: Earth Kingdom
Bender: No

Identifying Trait: Rugged in appearance with short choppy, dark brown hair tied back into a rat-tail. Nyla stands at 5'7 and has a lithe body, edged with muscles and tanned skin. A practical dresser she cares little for fashion and most would describe the majority of her wardrobe as borderline rags. Changing to Earth, Water, or Fire Nation garb depending on her location and job; the only constants of her wear are her knifes and her edged whip. She often has a smirk on her lips and a flirty glint to her amber eyes. As a teen she was often called a "tomboy", as an adult this has slowly changed to more often being a called a "charming rouge."

Notable Skills: Having survived as a thief as child; she is skilled at picking pockets, picking locks, and running away from angry shop keeps and chasing authorities. As a "self made bounty hunter" she has developed her own style of knife fighting, knife throwing, whip combat, and takedown holds. Finally, she is also a skilled talker and isn't afraid to flirt or lay on the charm in order to talk her way out of a bad situation or get better payment for her bounties.

Bio: Nyla doesn't remember her parents. Her earliest memories are running through the narrow streets of Ba Sing Se with the other lost, orphaned, or abandoned children of the Lower Ring. Living in the streets, or if lucky abandoned buildings, Nyla survived by stealing and making friends with anyone bigger than her or with sympathetic adults. As a teen she happened to see a bounty poster for a small time local mugger that she knew. Deciding to give it a shot, she decided to try her luck and was able to capture her fellow criminal after a quick street brawl. The bounty gave her more money than she had ever had before, so she decided to make it a career.

From the ages of 13 to 15, Nyla worked small time bounties in and around Ba Sing Se. She networked with more experience bounty hunters getting the tips and tricks of the trade; at 16 she was a "fully fledged" bounty hunter with her own unique style. Learning a little about just about every common weapon; she settled for knives, whips, and her own fists to capture her targets. At 17 she decided to set out into the wider world; capturing targets all over the Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation Colonies, and even in the fringes of the South Pole. Over the years she has been careful to take bounties from "safe" sources. Avoiding the larger and more tempting bounties sent out by the Fire Nation and other Nations for each others' military or political members.

At 21 years of age, Nyla has travel a fair portion of the world and is far more experienced than most girls her age. She has a amassed a small fortune and prefers to travel most of the world with two Ostrich Horses pulling a cart with a steel cage. She is still enjoying traveling the world and bounty hunting; going where ever the winds (and money) takes her.

Motive: If asked Nyla would say she has no motives besides making money and enjoying life. While this is true; it is a shallow explanation for her true wants and desires. Nyla ultimately wishes to "settle down" and have a normal, stable life. Her childhood poverty in Ba Sing Se, and her wish to never return to such a life, is the cause for her constant travel and money saving. She has a deep rooted fear of returning to her old life of poverty and hunger. She cares little for the larger issues of the world and freely admits that if the Fire Nation took over everything, she wouldn't care and maybe not even notice.
