As players you can choose two auras, its up to you how much they fit the lore or upset the norm

if for example your moon elf had Red and Yellow aura instead of purple and blue then in game the character was probably ridiculed or pitied for being so abnormal in comparison to their peers...

We can't pitch our own ideas for the auras? Or is it a 'gms word is final' kind of deal?
Im happy to see pitches, I just think "creating any object" is a bit much.
I think healing injuries via a magic is a huge deal, a orange aura potentially means better than a modern doctor in a medieval world of monsters.

On top of being able to use red auras enhancement magic on others (and themselves at a higher level...)
I think Orange is incredible support already, no need to be a 3d printer

That said orange and yellow being cautious colours therefore them or one of them having some sort of precautionary sensory magic is a good idea. Im thinking of how to implement that in the lore aha

So far I'm thinking like a magical sonar, not so much a instant spidey sense but more something that's activated to track nearby targets within a range the user decides upon/effort. 30ft circle is easier than a 60ft circle etc.

im tossing up if it should be along the lines of anything alive and moving or just potential threats to the user of said magic picked up by the targets aura and intentions...

phibglib phibglib your cs is good to go, you could maybe add a bit more to the green magic side. What she shifts into as examples, Flora manipulation, poison... also wanted to ask what you had in mind for elf heritage?

There's four off the top of my head to choose from that i can elaborate on further or you could make your own.

Wood elves, flora and shapeshifting is their focus.
Sun elves, fire and light is their deal.
Moon elves, water and gravity.
Dark elves, they steal the magic potential from the souls of slain enemies for temporary boosts/access to new magic
Moon elf seems best.

What aura is light and gravity again?

CS is going to be slightly delayed, dealing with something that happened earlier today that really put a dampner on me.

Daylight Fantasy Daylight Fantasy some elf info there and I can elaborate more if you wanna know

CS is now back on track :)

May I query about Gravity? Limitations and such? NeonFlow NeonFlow Seeing as how versatile it can be, obviously I won't be going crazy with it but I would like to know the current limits.

In combat anyway...
While shadow magic is fairly fast,
Telekinesis is a bit slower, but stronger.
Gravity magic is the most difficult of the three mentioned, typically concentrating on a area to effect to hinder or crush enemies, being in range of touching can help speed the process up.
Can effect your own or allies Gravity Temporarily, send out staggering waves for wide range or bolts for a direct target.

Is it okay if I change the last name of my character?

You've kind made a Wood elf if im honest but I'm happy for you to play a moon elf who is more in tune with nature then lunar activities
I would've liked if you told me that before I chose.

It's not a huge deal, Just going from the cs being green with orange and having a archery nature focus, i assumed you were leaning towards Wood elf. But like I told hat.

They made a half elf with moon elf heritage, the aura matches and they have the pros and cons that come with said heritage. You can have yours with different auras and the same pros an cons.

As alot of yall are choosing half Elf i figured I'd share some lore so people don't have to ask me and they can adapt if they want.

Pure elves are essentially extinct and have been for thousands of years. This came about thanks to a powerful entity making a pact with the Elf Queen. This entity was demonic and the pact was a deception... Because of this magical deal most Elves were transformed into a demon hybrid of a monster race now known as Orcs. (Alot were killed by the orcs aswell)
((Alot of Orcs were killed by Orcs aswell... orcs need their own lore drop))

Which is why anything with elf heritage in present days of Aerth came from mixed blood to begin with. All elves are technically half elves, though there is differences enough for there to be unique elves today of varying kinds.

The Solaria or Sun elves, red, yellow and orange auras are what they typically have. Their skin is usually a dark tan or even a tad red. They are stronger in the suns light and weaker at night, considered stronger or less frail than other half elves. Though that's typically because of red aura and their enthusiasm for combat.
The Lunari or moon elves, royal blue and purple auras are what they typically have. Their skin is usually pale, maybe a tinge blue or purple. They have more Aura at night and don't have the best vision in daylight. Lunari are typically nomads whose religious customs and culture revolve around the two natural moons of Aerth. (The third green one was made by a human god so they don't count it)
The Florari or Wood elves,
Green and Orange are the Auras they typically have. Wood elves are the most common of half elves living in harmony with nature for the most part. They have a much easier time shapeshifting depending on what creature they have hunted and eaten. (There are some legendary wood elves who become dragons thanks to the despicable acts of eating dragon eggs yet to hatch)
The Dunari or Dark elves,
The most rare of half elves would be the Dunari, grey skin, red and black eyes. like humans their Aura is random or genetic. Dunari can become temporarily stronger or capable of multiple types of magic thanks to their ability to steal the magical potential from a soul. So long as they deliver the killing blow.

All half elves have longer lives than humans. Humans live to 80-100 years. half elves push 400 and only start looking old when they get to 450 or 500.
Half elves have a easier time with magic but are frail/weaker then humans for the most part. This doesn't mean there are no elf warriors of course, more a generalisation or stereotype that in a physical confrontation...
the average half elf is losing against the average human.
