Biography:
Vivian Atris is the daughter of a very financially stable family with a history of medicine and psychology. The Astris family has been supporters of the Eranyne Empire for many years, and this has molded Vivi's views on the world somewhat. Ever since she was a child, she had a fascination with mental and physical health. Growing up in a war torn world caused a growing desire for peace to form in her heart, so she convinced her parents to send her to the well known institute of higher learning, Barton Academy, even though it meant going far from home. She intended to go there and learn plenty about medicine so she could join up with the army as a medic, hoping that her small part might bring the world closer to peace. While she herself isn't fully with the Empire, she feels that war will finally come to an end once the Empire accomplished its goals. After completing almost 2 years of schooling, Vivi is very eager to graduate to year 3 and go farther in her education.

Born in the northern regions of the empire, Nyla wasn't a stranger to harsh environments, although her upbringing wasn't all roses nor terrible it was still full of hardships. When she was born her parents gave her to an orphanage where she experienced poverty and had to rely on others for survival. The orphanage only had a fireplace for heating as it was mainly charity funded, Nyla hated this dependence and the desperate situation she was in. But rather than play around while the others played she was getting her hands in every book she can find. determined to get out however she could.

The nuns at her orphanage saw this and her potential and sent her off to a public school where she shined. she aced through her classes, however she knew that a public school wasn't going to get her anywhere, so she researched alternative methods and looked around for the highest paying careers she could find. It was at this moment that she realized the empire she lived in was a Aristocratic Monarchy where the rich and privileged ruled and the peasants served. Peasants like her. Nyla was furious at this but continued to read on...

The empire took great strides in their military, so much so that great military generals had the potential to become emperor or empress. A slow smile grew on her face, she had a plan now. To break this cycle of mediocrity she was to become empress. As soon as she graduated she volunteered in the military instead of waiting to be conscripted. This would make the recruitment officers more fond of her, and she would take full advantage, working hard and building up momentum.


Nyla got her first taste of war right when she got done with training as an infantryman. Her time there was a mix of emotions for her, she experienced Comradery, Love, Betrayal, Horror, atrocities, and the empires reason for conquest. She became close friends with her first squad she was assigned to they were almost family. That was, until they faced the enemy. Her side had the advantage of Oracles however new anti-oracle weapons were being used and the current model didnt know how to deal with them at first so when she and her division was sent to support the Oracle spearhead it was met with disaster. Quickly the might of the empires Oracles were shot down leaving her and her division to fend off the enemy that had now surrounded them.

Surrounded and outnumbered their commander told them to dig down and fortify. He used Nyla in particular to scout enemy positions while constant shelling kept most of her comrades heads down. It was at this point did Nyla and one of her comrades developed feelings for eachother. Taking fire from all sides and calling in enemy positions for what felt like eternity with her friends her family alongside her. The enemy however, had seiged their location long enough, and sensing a weakness in their defense and seeing their causalities mount up on them they finally launched their offensive on the battered army.

Nyla's squad was the first to see the their armor approach and reported it in. firing off a few rounds to slow their advance part of her squad was torn up or blown apart letting her and the rest retreat. The commander ordered a no surrender protocol and to not let them capture you. one of her squadmates was against it and the commander orders Nyla to execute him. stunned, shocked and shaking she did it with many tears in her eyes. however as soon as she did that an explosion racked the defensive line and the fight to the death was on.

bullets and explosive ordinance filled the air and Nyla was on the ground still reeling from her execution of a squad-mate. Until the last surviving one ran over to her to comfort her Soldiers around her were being shot down as they attempted to hold up a formidable fight, the commander that ordered no surrender had kept his word with him to the grave and when all seemed lost for the almost wiped out army did Empire planes and paratroopers come in to give support. the Oracles that didnt fair well against the enemies new weaponry had some kind of temporary countermeasure already and that was almost certain to be improved. The siege lasted 3 days and on the third day the Empire saved them.


After the ordeal and slaughter that was her first battle she and her squad mate was transferred to a new squad and division. the war lasted a further three years with Nyla in the thick of it. After her war Nyla's new officers noted her smarts and her natural ability for leadership from one of her exploits (but this bio is already getting so goddamn long so..) and enrolled her into officer school where she learned tactics and strategies of generals past At the same time she was trained in piloting an Oracle.

When she graduated the Empire was in a null of expansion, and she was tasked with garrison in conquered territory where there was a rise in resistance movements. There her squadmate of years past was also stationed there, after a few months of "peacekeeping" a major terrorist attack allowed her to mobilize her squad into suspected terrorist hideouts. it was here did a surprise attack killed her last remaining squad mate and then on she hated terrorists ever since. with a vowel to become empress not just for herself but now to destroy all resistance groups within the empire she had a whole new meaning to her goal.

Description: The XO-12K aptly named "The Owl" is an experimental Oracle meant to see the enemy before the enemy sees it. It is high customization enabling any new weapons to be added into its system its sensor system is expensive but accurate letting the pilot have a hit rate of 93% However, thickness of the armor is slightly below standard and The Owl must rely on external protective counter measures.

Armament: 40mm Assault cannon (its what they use in code geass so..)
80mm Shoulder mounted missile pods

Protection: ECM cloud - mostly useful against missiles however this also blocks attacker's vision, including their sensors and even its own. when this is up the pilot cannot hit anything reliably until it has gotten out of the cloud
Detachable limbs - if a limb is caught or heavily damaged the Pilot can immediately detach the limb and use the back mounted floats to stay in the fight.

Flight characteristics: The Owl is as you can imagine not meant to be hit, so the back mounted floats are more powerful than your usual ones allowing it enhanced mobility and speed, it is known that this increase in speed also means a decrease in accuracy to about 67%

Biographical Information

Biography: Born a slightly wealthy family, he grew up most of his life in peace. He was a genius, something of a lazy genius. Breezing through school was easy for him. Even in advance class, he made straight A's. He was prepared to take a scholarship into the academy when disaster hit. The local government required some money as it was in debt. Not only did his parents hold much of the debt; they were growing dangerously wealthy. Therefore his parents were imprisoned and charged. All his families wealthy was confiscated, and he was denied access to the academy. He spent a year wandering around getting various jobs learning practical skills all while attempting to join High tides.

Once they recruited him (finally), he first was a technical man working on Oracles. His skill was recognized soon when he went through some simulations, and he was placed as a pilot. Not to mention the fact, he steadily improved their fleet of Oracles. His fighting skill fell not in close quarters fighting with swords but with ranged weapons. Not that he wasn't that bad at close quarters. He became known for his skill with his light revolver shaped secondary gun attached to the left arm of his oracle. His other hand held a lengthened sword, all of these improvements made by himself. Evnentually, he rose to become one of the top ten pilot in the High Tides.

In all of this he kept his slow growing hatred for the empire. Harlock knew it was his destiny to fight to destroy the empire (strong capitalist).

Morpheus Venom - a special concoction of chemicals blended up by William, including a particular snake venom, that instantly paralyses a person's body, leading to their unconsciousness about 10 seconds later. William uses this via a small hand held pistol dart gun, hidden somewhere on his body. Only William knows of the cure to awaken victims immediately.

Poisoned Rage - William possess a large array of more known/conventional poisons and venoms, ranging from his acidic decay poison to his extremely painful torture poison to even a truth telling serum. He may insert these into his small dart gun when needed. Provided a person can identify the poison, there are usually available cures for them.

Communicator - William has a long range communicator needed for picking up and giving out orders to the other High Tides members.

Multi-tool - a small all-purpose mechanical tool used for many things. Anything from lockpicking a door, hacking a computer terminal, stabbing someone with its small knife to even simply opening a can.

Mental Strengths:
Tactical Adaptability - he is very capable of reacting accordingly to specific situations for the best possible outcome. Ever the strategist and the tactician, he is also rather skilled at organising and leading small and large scale battles.

Psychological Warfare - he enjoys toying with and twisting people's minds to his own desire, corrupting and destroying people mentally with his near-sick games and devilishly cunning plans.

Physical Strengths:
Reactive - he is quite adept at dodging incoming attacks with surprising foresight despite his otherwise unseemly physical attributes. Provided he is physically fast enough to move out the way, bank on it that he will.

Emotional Strengths:
Mentally Unstable - although most would assume he is simply a little nutty, he actually has no sense of human worth. People's lives are expendable for the sake of his games and there is no price too high to put at stake for the gamble. Combining near reckless abandon with boundless courage and a mix of a lack of interest in personal insults or blackmail, it is virtually impossible to decipher what is happening in this man's head without the aid of special help.

Mental Weaknesses:
Gambling - he cannot resist the temptation of taking a risk and this shows through his everyday actions and his big decisions. Despite the cost or danger, the thrill of the failure versus reward is all too alluring and may lead to his own quick demise one day.

Socially Different - his mannerisms and his physical passive actions clearly set him apart from the rest. Being able to be easily identified by others for his tendency to giggle, grin or laugh uncontrollably and for his habit of continuously cleaning his glasses, not to mention his lack of human interaction skills or the understanding of how to not hurt a person's feelings/be less blunt can sometimes affect his conversations for the worst as well as allow his enemies to easily identify him.

Physical Weaknesses:
Genius' Flaw - he is physically less strong, durable and has less stamina than most, although he is still fairly agile and nimble.

His Past - even mentioning his past is enough to trigger him. Any discussion on his father warrants death threats, any talk of his past actions or his family will earn you a new lifelong enemy. A terrible rage shall be unleashed should his currently secretive past be revealed.

Examples:
Deceptively charming/nutty - "Come now, we wouldn't want to make a mess of these lovely clothes. I believe I have heard quite... impressive... things. About you my dear. Perhaps we should continue this somewhere away from prying eyes. Somewhere more... private?" He flashes a charming smile, the crazy deception of the con only slightly glinting his his magnetising eyes, lost to the entranced victim he held in his grasp.

Reactive - Bullet flew past as soldiers charged forth. William, alongside some of his men, dodged his head to the side to avoid an incoming pistol whip, a hand slicing out to chop the man in the back and sending him tumbling forward - directly into the line of fire of his enemies. William, realising the enemy charge had begun, swiftly stepped to the side behind cover as his backup was lit up by gunfire, the EMF laying waste to them. But it was not over yet. Stepping out, William raised his dart gun and fired quickly and accurately, each pin prick finding it's mark around the neck and chest area of each soldier. As he continued on, William felt a tingling in his neck. Before he knew it, he had ducked instinctively as a sword swished above him, a few loose hairs having been cut free. Pivoting on his foot, William sweeping the sword up with one hand and pistol whipped the man. The EMF soldier topped over backwards, clutching his face. With a sadistic evil smile, William pulled the trigger on the last lethal dart injection, killing the man. His work was done for now.

Tactical - The EMF were moving in. The High Tides only had 4 Oracle in position and were quickly getting surrounded. A decision had to be made, "Oracle 2 and 3, pull back around the corner and maintain covering fire. Orace 1 and 4, use your floats to ascend above the building." William had stepped in to take command, it seemed some sort of leadership would be required. The Commander could deal with the big things, William could do the micromanagement, "Good, now: Oracle 2 and 3, charge forth. Make it look desperate." "But sir, we'll be gunned down by their reserve force." "So you think..." The two Oracles moved forward in a frantic offensive, destroying the forward guard force, however the reserves were there to fill the ranks. The enemies behind still approached, "Now! Oracle 1 and 4, engage the reserve force from above!" "Sir?" But they did as told, advancing down upon them. Surprised by the aerial attack, the EMF Oracles were crushed. "But sir, the flanking Oracles!" "Relax. Bring in Oracle 5. Turn and fight them." The four Oracles did so, severely outnumbered. In the end, they had taken two casualties and lost one Oracle, but the backup had cleared the 10 enemy Oracles easily, the double flank confusing and crushing them. "Full retreat. We're done here for now." "But sir! We can win this!" William shook his head. The bigger picture showed a large reinforcement troop approaching their position. No amount of tactics could defeat an overabundance of force, it was impossible, "Pull out. That's a direct order." And so they did, a minor victory for the High Tides.

Intelligent/Cunning - "And that is checkmate, my dear." The former Eastern world champion furrowed his brow in confusion, "But this is black jack? You mean you have a winning hand?" A devious grin creased William's face, an intuition as to the next play evident in the nasty glint his eyes held, "Same thing." The larger man frowned. This would not be profitable if he lost now, especially in such a large tournament. William knew this and had specifically chosen this tournament so this pressure could be applied, "You have much to lose, my dear. I hear few men are understanding when someone loses their money, you know..." William was of course referring the money his opponent owed to several benefactors, loansharks and friends alike. The man started up a sweat on his brow, how did this young man know that? It was creepy, "I... I am pulling out. No deal." He pulled his hand away from the table, the cards shown on it clearly. William's grin could only grow into a shark-toothed gape as his put down his play, the cards showing clearly. He did not have a better hand than the other man, but the man had pulled out. The winnings went to William, enough to triple both his and the other man's profit, "Well. Chess still leaves a man feeling like a king, does it not? At least I have a treasury..."

William started off life happily enough. Born into an upper middle class family an only child, he was fairly happy with his life. Naturally gifted at school and social enough to get by with a few friends, William was all set up for a perfectly comfortable life. But then there was always that one bad roll of luck, that one curveball that has to ruin things. That curveball was his father.

William's father was a well-off man in his own right, wealthy enough to buy his family a decently large house for them to live in relative security in. However the money was not used just for living and luxury purposes. William's father had a gambling addiction, plain and simple. Every few nights he would disappear, only to reappear the next morning drunk and looking like he'd been mugged. And each time William's parents would argue and fight about it. But this was only minor trauma for William, the real event happened just as he was finishing high school.

It was a terrible thing, William's father had been missing for a few days. Rumours had gone around that he had been cleaned out of everything he had, including the house. William's mother was distraught. What were they to do? Then it happened. William's father came back. At first his mother was overjoyed, but then she noticed the look in his face: the look of a desperate man. He started ransacking the house for anything valuable. His mother tried to stop him. In the struggle she was killed by his father, the killer escaping into the night with the stolen goods. The event had scarred William for life, an infection of the mind that twisted him into something just as cruel as life itself was. Some people had ways of becoming a man, but on that day William became a monster.

Fleeing his own house, which was soon to be repurposed anyway, William stole into the night after his father with a vengeance in his blackened heart. After finding him in one of his gambling dens, William set about exacting his revenge. William had acquired some chemicals from his school one day, a particular formula very akin to snake venom in that it thickens the blood rapidly. It took less than 23 seconds to kill his father. He walked in, killed the two bouncers with two shots of venom, continued onwards amongst the crowd of gamblers until he found his target and made his move. One quick discreet thrust of the needle was all he needed before slipping away into the throng of people, nothing left behind but a middle aged scumbag struggling for life. It was this epic tale that got him in the High Tides years later initially, once the recruiters had recognised his talents. Finishing school, William had gone to college and finished education. He had paid for it all in the light of his new poverty in the way that he had initially lost his family and wealth - gambling. It turned out that he shared his father's obessesive passion for the sport, however the only difference was that William was actually smart enough to be good at it. Obtaining a small fortune, William allowed himself to live in relative comfort, finding interest in only the fun things in life. Unfortunately, his terrible past experiences had already left a mark and now the "fun things in life" consisted of terrorism, murder, deceit and mind games. Unstable enough as it is with his past and having never sought therapy for what had happened, William decided that the High Tides was the perfect place to enjoy himself without the restrictions of the law or the "good guys" dictating who he could or couldn't torture.

It was the arena of lions, and he was hungry for some meat.

As a result of this and his own observations, Harrier knew he wanted to be an Oracle pilot from a very young age.
In fact, as far as he was concerned, it's what he was born to do—there was simply no other alternative path for him to take.
With his singular goal in mind, Harrier breezed his way through life until he was old enough to receive Oracle training, then joined the EMF as soon as he graduated and hasn't looked back since.

Biographical Information

Biography: Dorian's parents were killed during one of the wars of expansion. Having no relatives, the Empire sent the orphaned child of six to the Schola Progenium, to further his education so he may better serve the Empire. From then on, he was property of the empire. Days were filled with drills, training and indoctrination, while nights were spent with deep study to further themselves for the Empire. By the time he turned 11, he was accepted as a cadet, along with nine other boys and girls his age. From there they served under a decorated Military Commander, learning the art of war. How to lead, to command, and how to take a life without feeling. It was when he graduated to second LT, did Dorian truly distinguish himself. During the early days of the war, Dorian was placed in charge of a platoon of first recon Infantry. They were patrolling one of the outer cities, when him and his unit came under fire by the local rebel/terrorist groups. Their commissar was shot in the ensuing chaos. Leaderless, and pinned down, Dorian quickly took command, and lead a counter attack, unleashing the fury of the empire and their dead comrades. For two days non stop they fought, Dorian leading the charge, as he dispatched his foes with cold deadly efficiency. When the last rebel fell, the troopers of the first recon immediately swore loyalty to the young lieutenant. When word reached command, Dorian was quickly promoted to a First Lieutenant, and given permanent command of the First Recon Mobile infantry. He was 19.
For the next ten years he and his men served, going from battle to battle.

Mental Strengths: Char is well versed in engineering, able to create all sorts of jury-rigged solutions to mechanical problems. He also studied Oracle engineering and has knowledge on how to maintain and pilot Oracles.

Emotional Strengths: He is rather thick-skinned and it takes a lot to offend him. He is also very empathetic to the suffering of others and wishes to help others no matter what. In addition, he gets along with others quite well, forming lasting bonds quickly.


Mental Weaknesses: Char may have studied Oracle engineering, but his knowledge is very limited and his engineering knowledge is sometimes incorrect. He is also unable to properly multitask or pay attention for extended periods of time. In addition, he can be indecisive at times. Despite wanting to protect people, Char is not unwilling to resort to illegal means to do so and has no qualms with any illegal actions that do not directly harm someone (ie: Black marketing, Hijacking an Oracle, stealing). Biography


Bio: Charity (Char as he prefers) was born and raised in Jumlie. His parents were well off, with his mother holding a decent position in the court of the Emperor and his father being a private musician for the upper class. He got wound up in a minor terrorist attack when he was 6 and was traumatized and received PTSD. In addition, there was significant damage to his spinal cord which threatened to paralyze him from the neck down. However, pulling some strings, his mother managed to have him undergo an experimental procedure that utilized several nodes that would take the place of his spinal cord during the procedure. However, there was a mistake that made fully repairing the spinal cord impossible, which required the nodes to permanently attached to complete the spinal cord.


This incident has left Char wanting to do everything he can to protect people from the pain he noticed his parents experienced, just from the possibility that he could be paralyzed much less dead. As a result, he aspired to join the EMF to prevent further terrorist attacks and studied all his childhood to enter Braton and become an Oracle pilot, one of the heroes that protected the citizens from terrorists.


However, as Char was studying to go into Braton, High Tides arose and began their attacks. Unable to bear the needless killing, Char decided to take matters into his own hands. As a result, he stuck into an EMF facility with the help of some professional thieves to steal a Model 2 Oracle and began to fight, after modifying it. Calling himself "The Orange Dragon," he went to fight off a small terrorist attack. However, after an accident in his first fight that resulted in the deaths of several civilians, he stashed the Oracle away and tried to forget about it.

This was not without consequence however, the EMF discovered this soon and arrested the thieves. Luckily, his mother was able to deflect suspicion form Char, but she still reported the stolen Oracle and it's location. The Oracle would be stored and left unused due to the fact that several internal engineering mistakes left it unusable.

Two years later in Braton, Char’s father was invited to play in the Cainan Orchestra and so, Char and his mom went with him to Olatine to help him get settled in before the mother and son returned to Jumlie. While in Cainan, the High Tide’s attack on Braton occured and reached the notice of Char.

Charity Drake's Parents

Char’s Mother: Grace Luna

Bio: Grace was born into the political world and works as one of the Emperor’s Chief Advisor’s aide. She was supposed to marry into royalty, but instead, she fell in love with a charming musician by the name of Charles Drake and decided to marry and start a family. With her son constantly getting into all kinds of trouble, she uses all her influence to prevent any major harm from befalling her son. This stems from the accident that almost left Char paralyzed, where she got a rude awakening that the Empire is not as safe as it seems.


Personality: As an upper class citizen, she was raised to not care about the poor, but when she met Charles, she became slightly more empathetic, but not like her husband. As a mother, she cares deeply about her son and wants him to avoid harm, though she is not over protective. Time and time again, when her son would get in trouble with the government or local authorities, she steps in to protect him, though she can’t prevent such acts while she is at work.

Char’s Father: Charles Drake

Bio: Charles used to be a second class citizen trying to make a break as a musician, but was unable to without any good connections. However, he did manage to catch the eye of a beautiful upper-class woman during one of his street performances. He was a good musician, but his class prevented him from being famous, but Grace changed that. Because of Grace, he was able to begin doing private gigs for the upper class and also grew relatively wealthy. A month prior to the attack on Braton, one of the government officials he played for recommended him to the Cainan City Orchestra, and he was accepted. It was an honor he couldn’t turn down. HE would have to live in Cainan, but he would still be able to visit his family occasionally in Jumlie.


Personality: Charles is very easy-going and creative, given his occupation. Coming from a poor background, he tends to be very frugal, saving money when possible unlike the other members of the upper class, like his wife. On that note, he is also somewhat unaccustomed to the life of the upper class, and sometimes publily embarasses himself, though he doesn’t mind.

He is also very empathetic to the people of the second class, as he was one of them originally. As a result, he regularity donates his earnings to the poor (Grace is already rich enough) and taught his son that all people are worth protecting, no matter their social class.
