Wondertainment submitted a new role play:

AU: Mental Veil - AU RP for the good people of Mental Apocalypse.

This is an alternate universe of the RP Mental Apocalypse. In the original RP, a mysterious plague wipes out the entire human population except for those with mental disorders. The "sane" then turned into zombie-like creatures that the main characters dub "Psychos."
This is an alternate universe in which that never happened. I have three ideas for premise.

A) With a Little Help From My Friends

Standard real-life stuff. The characters all meet and have a good time.

B) In Another...

"AHHHHHH FUDGE TANKS"

Oliver flung off the covers and suddenly he was sitting. Huh. He didn't remember doing that. He gazed at the clock. He wasn't late. Which meant that he hadn't slept in yet. So... why wouldn't he be sleeping?

Oh yeah. Dream.

Aw yiss, Oliver remembered what happened. He had a building montage! He built a van? Well, improved it, Oliver supposed... And people called him Oak and stuff. God, why did he introduce himself as Oak? Oliver Kim? Ok? Sigh... Even for Oliver, that was stupid.

But still. Oak is a pretty cool name.

Isaac.

Oak got a sudden headache and almost fell over, and he was sitting down. What? Did Oak have a problem with the name Isaac? Oh, wait, no, Oak got it. Isaac was that kid who- he didn't-

Suddenly, scattered scenes of dreams burst and faded rapidly in Oak's head. They were like random bits of a film roll flicking around in front of his eyes, but he got the general gist of the story. Things were not going well. And names showed up, some girl named M...M... Whatever. And then there was this girl, name was either... Nicole or Anna, one or the other, those were two very different names, and it's not like she had more than one name. Pshht. That'd be weird. And then the kid! Weird name, doctor kid, Mickey, no, it was weird, Asian, agh... Forget it. They were all fictional, anyway.

But Isaac was burned into his brain like a brand.

Oak stood up, trying to shake the dream out of his head. Usually, dreams slipped from his fingers even when he tried to hold on. Now they were stuck to him like plastic wrap, dancing, teasing, almost off, but never really letting go. He paced and looked outside the window. The street was full of living, breathing, normal people. Good. Oh, and Lee! Lee was there in the dream, and she's real. Maybe he'd joke about it later-

Suddenly, Oak realized something. This Isaac's house was just down the street, in real life. Wow. Oak had a crazy good memory in his dreams. He wished that was true in-

Okay, that's freaky. Oak could see Isaac in the window. This was clearly more than a dream.

Oak raised an eyebrow. "Hang on," he muttered to himself, "I weaponized a sewer pipe."

BEGIN

Madi bolted upwards with a gasp, her eyes wide. She couldn't shake the images from her head. But as she calmed, they disappeared gradually and she sighed deeply. What had that been about? That was definitely new. Maybe she should ask her therapist about it? Nah, he never helped.

Madi let out a sigh and got out of bed, untangling her bare legs from the sweaty sheets. She stumbled to the bathroom and splashed cold water on her face. She stared at her reflection as she recalled the dream.

There was a lot of death and gore and... Biting. Lots of biting.

There was an Asian man, who was a medic. His name started with an M... Maybe...?

There was another boy, name after a tree, who kept cracking really cheesy jokes.

There was a girl who kept hitting her head and changing.

And then there was-

Isaac.

The name caused Madi to grab the sink counter to not collapse. The name brought so many emotions with it, ranging from shattering depression to giddy nerves. God, who was this man? He looked so familiar, they all did.

Madi shook her head and pulled her hair back in a ponytail. She paused upon seeing the scars on her neck. In real life, she had gotten them from her mother. In the dream, se had gotten them from a crazy girl and a... Zombie? No, they were called Psycho's.

Shaking her head to bring herself back to the point, Maddy rubbed at her eyes as if to erase the image of this 'Isaac' from her head. He looked very similar to her aquiantence Isaac. Practically identical. Only, in the dream he had one eye. Did she have a dream about him? Maddy sighed again. Another memory came to her. A kiss. It had been brief and had tasted like blood but it was still fresh in her mind. Madi practically smashed a hole in the plaster when she banged her head against the wall. No way did she dream of kissing her dead aquaintance. Nope, nuh uh, nadda. NO

Isaac was already awake, well he haven't been sleeping that is. He was sitting in his office, Hunt lying by his feet.. *that dream.. Everything?.. Those people..They reminded him of those he met.. But could it be?* Isaac continued writing down on the book.

Isaac slowly reached his head where his missing eye supposed to be. *It felt so darn real..* Isaac finally sat back. He was finished with the first chapter. He quickly made two clapping sounds as to alert Hunt that they should go for a walk. Hunt was as eager as ever. They had good cooperation so much that Isaac didn't use a leash..

With a sigh and a smile. Isaac went outside. The world hadn't gone to hell already so it was just a dream..*A walk in the park should do nicely..

Atleast it would help me concentrate.. Mi-do? Natalie? Tree? No.. Oak? Yeah probably.. Madi? Why did Isaac remember these names specifically? A lot of people are called those names.. Maybe not Mido, but Oak and Natalie even Maddison was a common name.. Why?

And why did he burn the house down?* Isaac sighed. He won't be getting any rest soon. With a sharp whistle he called Hunt and they both walked towards the park. *Why his left eye? What made that better than the right one?*

Oak snorted. That's not Isaac. There's no way that's Isaac. It looks like him, well, not even, really, but Oak knew... Wait, since when did he call himself Oak? He surrendered. Oak it is.

He quickly threw on some clothes, marched downstairs and chased after the man with the shaggy white dog. After some running, Oak finally caught him and smiling, called after him.

"Sir! Um... sir!" Oak called out, "...Isaac?"

Oak managed to catch up. Oh my God, it really is him.

"Sorry, sir, I thought you... I am mistaken. Have a good day."

Oak turned around when he noticed the dog. There was a wolf in his dream. He was just saying hi to the wolf when he woke up. God, this was freaky. And... And the stranger must have said something by now. Unless he was mute. Like Isaac.

You're just being delusional, Oak, this is what happens when you don't sleep in. Back to bed, now.

Resolved, Oak started walking away.
