Fandom Attack on Titan: Tales of the 747th

"Still not over how the Garrison some how let that titan get that far into the walls. More so they didn't notice a titan crawling up the wall. I doubt it did so, surreptitiously by the way. Too bad I wasn't there." He continued. "But anyway we should get to the stables and get some horses. We got to get to the Gates of Hermina, we are supposed to go to HQ today. I was on my way there before I saw you Squad Leader." Sora said. The he said to Fremont "Yes one of the soldiers eligible to become an MP, I think they're a bunch of chickens that work only for the rich. I'm no dog of the wealthy cowards who refuse to put money into 3DMG development. But soon they won't be needed for that." He said the last part more to himself and then turned back to Fremont and Meld.

He looked over to the stables and thought about what horse he was going to get. He had a few in mind all good ones. But his first preference is one that has speed and control, the rest just have speed.

"They won't be needed for... what?"

Fremont watched as Knightwalker walked away.

"Mm. Friendly," Fremont mumbled. He followed Knightwalker's glance and saw the stables. "Oh. Right. Do we get to choose a horse for the expedition, or are they just assigned to us?"

Fremont was personally eyeing one horse in particular - Greentongue. Not particularly fast, but rather agile and able to switch directions at the last moment. Nobody else would want it, Fremont liked to believe, because even with Greentongue's versatility, he was still a pretty crappy horse in terms of speed. But there was one thing Fremont loved about Greentongue - every time he ate, (even food that wasn't green, like hay) his tongue turned inexplicably green. It was little quirks like that which kept Fremont going.

"So. Hermina Gates. When are we supposed to meet there, at ten o'clock? I feel like it's getting close to that-"

The church bells in suddenly roared to life. Gong. Gong. Gong. Fremont scowled as he counted silently in his head. Ten gongs.

"I really... really hope that doesn't mean we're late," Fremont muttered.

(@SekiryuuteiDxD , @Wondertainment )

Meld sighed as he heard the gongs, and had gone silent as the conversation progressed. He had simply listened to the two talk, and he thought on Knightwalker's words. As they talked about horses, Meld would scan the stable, as he did not find a horse that he particularly would want. During the scanning of the stables, the bell would suddenly ring, and that would commence Meld's sigh.

He figured that they were about to be late, and he decided to take the quick way there. With a roar of steam he flew into the air, swinging quickly across the many roof tops of the cluttered district. Meld knew he was probably going to be late, but he figured he'd at least want to get there at a reasonable time.

People looked up in awe as he flew by quickly, as if he were a bird with steam engines tied to it's wings. Meld always liked the sensation of using the 3DMG, it made him feel free, and comfortable for the first time since Wall Maria.

"Which ones? I'm a Scout so I don't know much about your doings as a... Um, you're... Fuck. Whatever, you heading to Hermina like the others? If you are, I'm headed that direction, otherwise you'll be on your own." S'avelli said, shifting the positioning of his gear and fiddling with the blade to his right, mumbling something before looking back over to Regin, "I mean, I can only go so far before I am late to my own crap... So...? Mm?" He said, tilting his head to the side.

(Sorry, on mobile, possibly hungry stupid.)
@LazyBasil

"They ring bells for Inner Walls too now? Well I can just replenish when I get there and Meld had the right idea." Sora exclaimed. He pulled out his triggers, and tested them to make sure they were in working order. He was about to take off then he remembered just how crappy rules in the inner wall are. You can't use 3DMG without a permit due to structural damage from the wire anchors. Sora rifled through his jacket and yanked out a paper. He read it aloud "For making the top 10, you are allowed usage of 3DMG within the Inner Walls."

With that Sora blasted off with faint smile. He wasn't too surprised at the look of the cith dwellers at the use of the 3DMG but it did get on his nerves a bit, He wished the crawler titan came here instead of the trainee corps camp. The ignorance in the inner wall is so not bliss. The gear made getting through the district a breeze. He landed a bit aways to get himself a horse. He then seemlessly merged with the new recruit section. However, didn't seem like they were leaving yet.

"Wendy ! It's nice to see you too ! You look great, as always," Mana said, returning the hug tightly. In a way, she felt like this was good-bye forever, which didn't exactly appeal to her. "Don't make it sound like I'm leaving forever. Even if we're part of different Regiments, we'll still be best friends," she said with a bright smile, releasing Wendy and taking a good look at her. She felt a rush of nostalgia hit her as she remembered when they were just little kids. Now, they were adults and joining the Military. Just thinking about back then and now made her smile.

Indeed Wendy and Mana have known each other for a very long time. "I'm sure I'll probably get handpicked to join the Scouts and we can fight the titans together." Wendy smiled.

Suddenly, there was a super loud explosion at the wall and then sirens began wailing. "That can't be good."

Seina smiled at first, but heard the sudden explosion. Wondering what it could be, she stepped out, looking around the city. After a moment, she turned to Wendy with a somewhat worried and curious expression on her face. "What was that? Should we go check it out?" Seina's first instinct was to go, of course. Just in case people were in danger.

Regin grinned, opening his mouth to thank his friend.

Abruptly, the air rang with sirens and a loud explosion.

No.

His grin reversed, and his mouth shut. Suddenly, Regin no longer gave a fuck about the right route and the morning meeting. That sounded suspiciously like what the survivors often described as 'the signal for the beginning of the end.'

Titans.

"I'm checking that out," he stated, his eyes wide with a combination of fright and adrenalin. Regin desperately hoped he was wrong, but he needed to act either way. Turning, he headed straight towards the origin of the boom, not even waiting for S'avelli's response.

@The Doorman

S'avelli looked around before running in the direction of the blast, though not before scaling a building with his climbing skill, giving him a vantage point atop the roofs of the civilian buildings, "Ooooooh, fuck, Regin!" He called down at the man, "Watch out, titans flooding in through a breach in the wall!!!" When he looked back up and the dust cleared, he found something worse than a thud of titans and abnormals, "Holy shit..." It was as if the world around him had crumbled with the wall, the silhouette of a massive Titan... No, colossal, heavy plating coated it's body, Sweet mother of god, what is that... I hope to god it... He watched as the giant humanoid beast exhaled air so hot it seemed as if he were breathing flames, bright like the sun, even from this distance he could see its muscles twitch, hear it's footsteps, feel it's glowing glare on his person, all as it straightened it's thickly armored back and twisted its neck to look about. "Regin! Did you hear me?!" S'avelli shouted, a faint panic within his shaking tone, his legs pushing into the roof and launching him to the next as he slowly neared a Titan. It's mouth was twisted into an eerie smile, eyes void of emotion, utterly frightening, and for a split second the man lost focus, tripping and taking quite the fall into the building, his fright brought him back to his feet within the minute following, his right side scratched and threatening to bruise. "Dammit..." Sanosa grunted, skin heating as blood rose to fill the cuts in his body, this didn't prevent him from taking a hold of his blades, ready to strike the smiling Titan as soon as he caught an opening, oblivious to any other Titan that likely approached in this time of panic.

Meld heard a familiar sound, one that sparked a memory. He twisted his body and shot out his right wire to impale itself against a tower, tossing Meld towards it. Meld caught himself with his feet and looked for the source of the explosion. Before he found the source, he saw a titan. A titan in the city, but not in that city.. In this one.

He growled as painful memories struck his head like a knife, irritating him, urging him to charge, to kill, to hunt. And so Meld did, and before he knew it he found himself flying towards the nearest titan.

It was a 5m class, so he simply sliced it's eyes as he quickly but gently landed on the titan's face. As the titan grabbed it's eyes and roared in pain, swinging and lashing in front of itself blindly, Meld got to it's nape and quickly ended it's life with a slice.

Blood gushed out, painting Meld's torso and face, but he didn't mind. He enjoyed the feeling of the kill, it brought little relief to the greatly traumatic experience of Shiganshina.

They'd pay.

Boom.

"No."

Fremont turned from the blades that he was arranging into his sheathes. It had come from the wall. It had to be a cannon or something. An accident. Humans. Please.

Thump.

Thump.

Before Fremont could even process that he was a soldier now, Meld was gone and Fremont was alone as soldiers either panicked away or towards the boom. Fremont snarled and fired a wire at a nearby building.

"No, no, no, no!"

Fremont gave a little gas to start the push, then felt the familiar tug and let himself be thrown across the street. Feeling the wind rush across his shoulders, Fremont forced his head up, eyes tearing from dread. Not here.

In the distance, Fremont saw the gaping wound in the skin of mankind. The pestilent Titans poured in, big, dumb, indifferent... terrifying. Fremont had only seen one this close once in his life, behind the safety of the wall. Now, the wall didn't seem so safe anymore, because there was something impossibly big, something too big to be a normal Titan... It gazed over the wall and Fremont saw the disdain on its face.

Many of the soldiers were already fighting - Fremont thought he saw Meld furiously slaughter one of them. He saw a few slip past them and head for the villagers, smashing houses as other soldiers killed them. Fremont caught an obese, bald, male Titan gazing hungrily at a family of villagers. Fremont snarled again before launching at the Titan.

"Aw, hell no!"

He swooped down, using his wires to catch him as he swung his swords to slice the Titan's heels. He let the wires pull him back and shot one of them to a roof, boosting himself up, running a sword up the Titan's spine. At the top, Fremont let the now-entangled wires unravel, forcing Fremont to spin and completely mangle the nape of the Titan's neck. Fremont then latched onto a rooftop and flew onto it, sliding into a brake. He shakily stood up, watching as the Titan barely missed the terrified family.

Fremont finally breathed in and sighed in relief. He really had to stop relying on his good luck.

He shot off again, chasing another stray Titan, with the terrible feeling that he was just another pawn waiting to die.

Allyna's hand shook as she cupped Emora's face, staring into cloudless blue eyes. No matter how hard to suppress it, a tear found its way down her cheek. Uncaring about how the mask she wore was falling apart to pieces, she hugged Emora tightly, burying her head in his (much taller) shoulder. Grimly, a part of her mind reflected on her weakness. How her impenetrable mask which stood in place for the length of nine long years, faced countless insults and barbs, fell apart at the sight of a familiar face.

"I've missed you," she whispered lightly into his shoulder, holding onto him like he would disappear if she let go. Her world had fallen apart the moment her brother left this world, and she had all but crumbled into dust when her friends left, and her mother locked her inside the house. Emora departed for the capital to stay with his father, and she could no longer see Pan, an escort accompanying her everyday in the few hours she was allowed out of the house. She slowly sunk into the dark abyss that was consisted of her world, not finding a way out until the recruitment for the army arrived at Stohess.

Regin halted when he heard S'avelli shout about titans, his eyes somehow growing even wider.

No. No, this was his first day. Why now?! Fuck fuck shit, no. He didn't even have his gear on! What was he supposed to do now?!

And yet, while his internal dilemma ensued, the titans were pouring through the walls, squeezing between buildings and breaking through structures. He had no time to curse fate.

"S'avelli?!" He screamed, his eyes locked on a titan peeking past a building, large, bulbous eyes alight with murderous desire. And Regin couldn't do a thing about it.

It's not he fucking woke up in his gear! They were supposedly safe behind the walls! He needed to head back home, and he needed to do it now.

He was utterly defenseless, and he hated it.

@The Doorman

S'avelli lunged, hitting the smiling titan's shoulder running and striking down on the nape of it's neck and slaughtering the weak point before he heard Regin, SHIT HE'S NOT IN GEAR!!! "Hold on, Regin!" He turned his head in the direction of the newbie to see a Titan, large eyes, huge-ass mouth like no one would believe. This shit wasn't nightmare fuel, it was like a nightmare took human form, but instead of becoming humans they grew high as mountains and wide as rivers, with the terrifying grimace of a shark, though the difference was their fangs were dull, it was only that expression that was frightening... The dark faces of titans, blood on their upturned lips, it made hell sound like a beach vacation.

S'avelli got to the end of the roof to see Regin, his friend, defenseless. "Why didn't you put your gear on?!" He grumbled, jumping down to hear smaller titans moving around the other buildings, "Don't fight me, we're getting your gear and you are going to start getting your shit together early." He spoke sternly, giving the unarmed man a serious look before he wrapped arm around his waist and launched them both up to the roof, "God... Dammit..." A growl escaped him as he looked around, it was only getting worse as time passed, they'd have to hurry before Regin's situation got them and the human race massacred.

"Where the fuck do you live?!" Sanosa said, looking at his friend with eyebrow's furrowed.

"C'mon, let's go get our gear before we get overrun. We're under attack." Wendy, out of instinct, grabbed Mana's hand and they made a break for the Military Base in order to get their gear. This was the 747th's First Day out of the Academy and they were under attack...

Mana let herself get taken by Wendy, eventually running to match her speed. She felt a rush of excitement overwhelm her as she found herself running a bit faster to the Military Base. Soon, she ran inside the base, quickly grabbing her gear and attaching it to herself tightly. The tanks were already filled and her blades in her hands. She held back the urge to simply run out there and waited for Wendy.

"Titans? The Interior why so far and so fast. Damn titans need an ass kicking." Sora commented. The Scout Legion Commander gave the signal and the Horseman dismounted and sprang into action, Sora was one of them blasting along only using the gear when necessary to save gas. He made sure to run a across and jump for normally spaced buildings. Then he saw one a 12 meter class titan approaching. Sora drew his blades and said "Well time for the soldiers to see this."

Sora engaged the titan on his own which would seem like suicide. One assumption Sora made is that titans have seen to many soldiers to nor predict standard movements. So he went a operated unconventinally to confuse the titan with his odd movements. It swung at him and he kicked out with feet to go underneath the Titan's fist drawing in his wirs before the were caught. He made sure to slash it's Achilles tendon before he landed on the ground at it's feet. The Titan stumbled and eventually fell on to it's side. But it was already starting to regenerate. Sora blasted around to the other side of the titan and slashed it's nape. The titan then dissolved before him. "Not bad for my first titan." Sora commented.

Meld helped evacuate the civilians, distracting titans by running around them, causing them to leap forwards in confusion, only to plummet and slam into the roads below. After the exhausted titan was killed by a passing soldier, Meld had successfully cleared the surrounding buildings and he launched himself into the sky with his 3DMG gear, boosted by the steam let out from the exhaust of his gear.

Meld spotted a few more buildings, and was flying over them, ready to propel himself unto one of the rooftops. Suddenly, a roar reached Meld's ears, coming from below him.

A skeletal looking titan burst out of the building and flew up with it's mouth open and it's hands extended, ready to grip it's new target. Meld let out as much steam as he could and barely missed the titan's mouth, kicking it hard in the eyes. It screamed in pain as it continued to fly up, and Meld ran off it's head, only to twist himself around to face the nape, attach his lines to it, and shoot himself forward.

With a quick slice, the nape flew, and Meld was still attached too it. The titan flew up a few more meters, then came plummeting down to smash the building it had just leaped out of. Meld was carried through the air, and he detached only to slam into a rooftop, hard. His bones made a large cracking sound, but that wasn't enough to discourage Meld.

As quick as he could, Meld was already attempting to pick himself up, driven by the sound of two gigantic footsteps urging towards him. He couldn't die here, he wouldn't.

Fremont had just severed off another Titan when he noticed Meld on the rooftop. There was a skeletal Titan dissolving under him, and Fremont saw the hellfire in Meld. He also saw the dejected look and realized that Meld must be injured. Whipping around a clock tower, he fired forward to rescue him when, with a roar, a 10m Titan raged through on the left, racing a 5m Deviant on the right. They stumbled around, smashing houses, trying to get to Meld first.

Fremont fired his left wire at the the 10m's nape, and used the right wire to attach to a nearby tower. Pulling with the right wire, Fremont swung around so that he wound the Deviant's neck with his wire, spinning around the Titan's neck. Fremont let his momentum do the work as the tension built on his wire. With a click, the left wire snapped off of the Titan, pulling off the nape with it, killing the 10m. As the wire unwound around the Deviant's neck, the hook minced the Titan's neck until eventually, the thing was essentially beheaded. For good measure, Fremont scooped out a chunk of its neck.

Fremont then fired at the rooftop where Meld was. Landing softly, he panted and looked concernedly at Meld.

"Oy!" he yelled, "Meld! This ain't the time to be sunbathing!"

Fremont reached out his hand to assist Meld.

@Raggamuffinz

Meld quickly grabbed his hand and got up, not even looking at Fremont as he eyed another titan who was approaching. The Corpsman suddenly smiled, fire in his eyes as he glanced at Fremont. The man quickly leaped off of the rooftop and began making his way to the other titan. He yelled back at Fremont.

"Evacuate the civilians, save the weak, I'm going to clear them out!", Meld yelled back as he blasted steam, boosting himself towards the titan. Suddenly, the titan turned, and began running towards him...

Running.

"Aberrant!", a nearby soldier would yell as he began fleeing from the monstrosity that was charging at Meld. However, the "Future Squad Leader" was smiling, and seemingly was ready to kill this titan, and all the others. Even if it could lead to his death.

@Wondertainment

(Gonna wait for more peeps to post, would suggest you do the same. Wouldn't want to clutter the entire place.. thing... RP...)

Pan snapped her ODM gear into place. The extra weight felt right, made her feel more lethal than the MP's issued rifle. The civilians outside were fleeing for their lives. Pan kept her expression void but her fingers shook slightly as she tested her blades for sharpness. A few others in uniform--the unicorn crest flashing on their shoulder--were raiding the supplies closet along with her. Some soldiers had gone AWOL, familiar faces stripping their jackets and joining the crowds retreating to the wall.

She flexed her fingers a final time and headed into the street. The MP chain of commanded had fallen apart quickly or if orders for Pan's regiment to gather were issued she never received them. She needed to track Allyna regardless. The girl had special permission to carry ODM gear if Pan remembered right. Hopefully she would be wearing them now. She sprinted into the street to look for her friend.

@CrystalFalls

Sora was engaged in battle with a 14 meter Titan and he had the upper hand. As tall as it is it's probably used to wires being fired into it to get up to it's neck. But Sora was letting his momentum and body weight carry him around the beast. He hovered before the monster's face so it'd bite forward and lean to far forward for it's stance, the titan fell instantly. Sora then finished off the titan while it was grounded. Sora commented "Timber."

Sora then blasted off at the sound of one word he doesn't want to here within the walls. "Aberrant!" he heard west of his position. He quickly came to the site of Meld and a running titan. Reacting quickly he threw his blades into the titan's eyes to make it stumble around and veer of course. It would likely fall on a house and trap itself. "Meld go finish it off." Sora told him. Sora blasted around to the estimated position of the titan fall in case Meld couldn't get to it while it was moving worse than a blind person.

"Where the fuck do you live?!" Sanosa said, looking at his friend with eyebrow's furrowed.

[/QUOTE]
"Like I wake up fully equipped for battle?!" Regin shouted, his voice quickly raising in pitch, and his words beginning to run together, "We're in the fucking interior! How was I supposed to think, hey I bet you I'm going to need to slay some gigantic fucking monsters before noon today, I should probably suit up?! Jesus, S'avelli, this isn't exactly the norm!"

Regin yipped when S'avelli grabbed him about the waist, his mouth open and ready to hit the man with a barrage of phrases all equaling 'Get the fuck off, this is not the time for a comfort hug,' but S'avelli had launched them into the air before anything could be done, and Regin's panicked hands suddenly gripped the his friend's shoulders with all his strength.

"Don't you dare drop me, you fucking asshole," he gasped, before rambling off the directions to his dwelling, "Left, second place down on the right!"

Fremont scoffed, but gazed at all of the people dying around him. With a groan, he whizzed around the village, scooping people up and dropping them off on a (relatively) safe road.

"Go!" Fremont yelled, "Go to the gates!"

As if that's gonna help, Fremont thought. As if those pigs are gonna let them in-

"ABERRANT!" someone yelled. Fremont looked in that direction and found Meld and Sora engaged in a running Titan. Sora sheathed his swords into the Titan's eye sockets, then jumped off, giving Meld the cue. Which was all fine and dandy, except for the fact that the Titan kept running, and there was a group of civilians standing right in its path.

Fremont whipped himself towards the Titan as fast as he could, spinning with the same tangled-wires trick that he used the time before. He slammed his blades into the Titan's forearm. Damn, this thing was tougher than it looked! The blades barely dug into the Aberrant's wrist, AND Fremont just barely got his blades out in time for him to swing again. At least he got the Titan's attention now-

Before Fremont knew it, he felt a sharp pain in his legs and shoulders. He was caught in the Titan's grasp and was about to be popped into the filthy, bloody hellpit that could barely be called a mouth.

"OY! MELD!" Fremont roared, "THIS WOULD BE A REALLY GOOD TIME FOR YOU TO COME IN!"

Meld landed against the titan's forehead, his feet smashing with a large thud, the moment Fremont was being raised towards the titan's mouth. He looked back at Fremont with a large smile, like nothing wrong was going on, like he didn't have a care in the world. It would probably terrify anyone at first, like Meld was hinting that he was going to leave you to die.

But he did the opposite.

Meld quickly ran up the titan's head, leaping off of the back of it, and he twisted his body to face the nape. Meld's body twisted and bent forwards as the 3DMG's lines dug deep on either side of the nape. He activated his steam, letting it hurtle him towards the nape like a human bullet.

His blades punctured it, and a spray of blood once again covered him. It filled the air around him, painting the sky with red. The titan's grip loosened, and it began to fall.

The "Squad Leader" leaped off of it as it fell with widened eyes, he had realized that the abberant would probably crush the crowd. In desperation, Meld fired a line at the abberant, and fired another line at a tower. He yelled in pain as he himself held up the corpse of the titan, which was luckily getting lighter and lighter as it evaporated.

"Hurry up and run. Wouldn't want to give the titans a meal they didn't earn...", Meld would say with a laugh as he hung there in the air.
