BIO (OPTIONAL):
Born from a human mother and an elven father, who both had magic abilities, she grew up far away from civilisation in the countryside. They were completely self sufficient, growing all their own food, and they didn't eat meat, so they had a very good relationship with the animals that lived around them.
Ever since she could walk her parents knew she would be a powerful magic user, as whenever she was helping her mother tend to the garden, the produce would grow much bigger than usual, and after she spent a long day outside, all the animals suddenly stopped eating things from their land, although Athena would set aside some of what they grew for them.
As she got older, her powers became stronger, and as she had inherited weak powers from both her parents, they trained her in what they knew, although couldn't help her with her own power. Her mother has powerful water magic, and Athena inherited very weak abilities from her. Her father is able to talk to and control animals, and Athena inherited more of his than she did her mothers, although she was unable to control animals.
Regardless of this training, her parents decided to sent her away to school, so she could work on and enhance her own power, and gain more knowledge.

PERSONALITY:
She is generally quite shy, not used to being around people or being in buildings in general, and becomes drained if she spends too much time away from nature, or doesn't have enough alone time. Although she is friendly and tries to be social, she sometimes comes across as quiet to people she first meets. When she gets to know someone, she is much more vocal. She gets upset when she sees people eating meat, although she has learnt to hide this. She is often overwhelmed, and gets sensory overloads, which can cause a number of problems. She avoids crowds as much as she can, mainly due to being overwhelmed, but she also has mild social anxiety, although she tries to keep this hidden. She is worried for the new school year, as what little friends she had have left the school, all being 2 years older than her. She fell in with this crowd as she has always been very mature, and as elves hit adulthood at 16, she matured quicker than a normal human.
SPECIALITY (if not unlocked, please list what it would be)
She can control, manipulate, create and use plants. She can also grow them, heal dying plants, and kill them (although she very rarely does this). Her power is strongest with trees and 'wood' plants (like ivy or bushes), but she can use her power on any sort of plant.
And she can communicate with animals, and many (especially herbivores) are drawn to her. She cannot control them, but can persuade them to do things for her. This persuasion works best with plant, seed or berry eating animals (herbivores and omnivores). Carnivorous animals are much harder to persuade, although it is unlikely that one would attack her, and sometimes they will help her, if it is a kind animal.
She can also manipulate water on a very basic level, and is able to breathe underwater.
