Name:

Asha

Age:

18

Sex:

Female

Role:

All around skills but particularly efficient at curating skins and fishing. Very good with the long spear.

Description:

Asha is light skinned and taller than most women in the tribe. Her hair is black and straight, gathered at several spots with strips of leather and decorated with beads she makes from the bones of animals she hunts or from wood she collects.  Often you will find her with her face decorated in shades of blue which she produces from berries and mud, a custom commonly found in her old tribe. She has a long set of claw marks down her left arm and leg from a supposed bear attack. Although they healed well these are still red and eye catching on a girl who would ordinarily be considered pleasing to the eye.  She wears a loin cloth made of skins, adding lengths of skins to her legs which she ties with strips of leather for further warmth. Smaller cuts of skins cover her breasts and cured skins , turned inside out, cover her shoulders providing warmth and protection from the rain.  On her feet moccasins made with the same techniques provide her with protection from the rocks and elements.

Personality:

Not much is known about Asha at this stage with her being a new addition to the tribe. She is quiet but helpful. Happy to cover many jobs the tribe needs done ranging from scouting, hunting, food preparation or treating skins which is by far her preferred task. She seems morose and stand offish but whether this is her personality or simply a side effect of the loss of her family and tribe we do not yet know.

Background:

Asha was found by the tribe scouts as they tried to make their way to new hunting grounds that would provide more food and shelter by the tribe. She was found alone and injured. Language barrier was an issue but from what they could tell she was from a nordic tribe that lived close to the seal colonies - her clothing being seal skins. Big and deep claw marks marred her skin, but did not seem to prevent the use of her arm or leg, and she had dealt with it much better and efficiently than anything else they would have been able to. Unsure of what to do with her the scouts had taken her back with them and left her in the care of the women and over the short time she had been with them she had become a part of their group as much as someone ever could when they could not communicate with them verbally. Occasionally she would vanish into the woods and return with good hunting, some of the larger prizes having signs of been attacked by a large carnivore of some description- perhaps a bear?. The tribe hunters had heard growls in the darkness, following them as they migrated into their new grounds and caves, but never setting eye on the source of the noise. Some believed that Asha was being followed and protected by the soul of a Bear, her guardian and protector, perhaps as penance for the injuries she had suffered at it's hands.
